[2:06]imam ali why don't you revile imam ali alaihi salaam why don't

[2:14]you attack imam ali alaihi salaam if any muslim in the world

[2:18]was asked these questions they look at you with a sense of

[2:21]anger if not a sense of venom but when muawiyah the son

[2:26]of abu sufyan says the following words to another companion sa'ad bin

[2:32]abi waqas it highlights to you that the institution of cursing the

[2:37]companions began with bani umayyah for many years us the shia have

[2:42]had a campaign against us that we are those who curse the

[2:46]companions of rasulullah many muslims in the world when they are told

[2:53]about the shia will straight away write you are the ones who

[2:57]disrespect the sahaba you are the ones who curse the sahaba you

[3:02]are not muslims rather you are kafir because you curse the sahaba

[3:08]and that anyone who curses the sahaba is automatically a kafir going

[3:13]along those lines even speakers like myself the moment we want to

[3:17]scrutinize any of the companions in islamic history if we don't even

[3:23]come near cursing but rather scrutinizing the actions of fallibils around rasulullah

[3:30]sallallahu alaihi wa'alehi looking at their judgments misjudgments at the end of

[3:36]the day if somebody is fallible then they are prone to error

[3:40]they can make mistakes unless you believe that they are all which

[3:44]i'm sure you do not but when someone like myself questions the

[3:48]actions of a sahabi then automatically you are called sectarian or you

[3:54]are called somebody who causes division between the muslims and automatically you

[3:59]are called somebody who's a shiai who causes trouble between the people

[4:05]yet when muawiya ibn abi sufyan orders the cursing of imam ali

[4:10]alaihis salam or wonders why is it that another sahabi does not

[4:15]curse another sahabi then it opens the question as to the reality

[4:20]of what barometer is being used because on the one hand when

[4:26]you find the line what is it that prevents you from cursing

[4:33]abu torab if i said that and i change the name of

[4:37]abu torab if i said for example what prevents you from cursing

[4:42]person x automatically people will say look at you shia cursing all

[4:47]the time when muawiyah in sahih muslim says to sa'ad ibn abi

[4:53]waqas one of the 10 who is granted jannah according to many

[4:58]traditions of other schools in islam why is it that you do

[5:03]not curse ali that surely opens a can of worms a can

[5:08]of worms that highlights that in the first fifty years of the

[5:12]religion of islam it would be normal for someone to believe in

[5:15]ashhadu allah and to hate ali ibn abi talib and still have

[5:24]radhi allah next to his name you'll see that mawiya according to

[5:29]many today believed allah according to many he believed in muhammad according

[5:37]to many he fought imam ali at a battle known as the

[5:41]battle of saffin yet still nobody can dare question him even though

[5:48]he believes in cursing a companion he is still not just a

[5:52]muslim he is seen as being amir radiyaallahan sahabi of rasoolallah sallallaho

[6:01]alaihi wa'alehi someone asked the question that if you're so adamant that

[6:06]the shia when they curse the sahaba are therefore on kufr then

[6:12]how comes when muawiyah curses not any sahabi but rather curses imam

[6:18]ali alaihis salam then this is to be put down as a

[6:22]misjudgment as an error or clarified in some of the most ridiculous

[6:27]ways i have ever seen i saw one person seeking to clarify

[6:31]it by saying that the word means refute never in my life

[6:37]having searched dictionary after dictionary have i ever seen that the word

[6:41]means refute you can tell me revile you can tell me curse

[6:47]you can tell me abuse i don't mind muawiyah supposedly is asking

[6:51]sa'ad bin abi waqas why don't you refute ali ibn abi waqas

[6:55]for someone who led an army to fight imam ali alaihis salam

[6:59]and therefore to say why don't you refute is quite contradictory but

[7:03]the reality is there poses a major question here if the shia

[7:08]are kaafir because they have a problem with certain sahaba not only

[7:14]do they have a problem with those sahaba they clearly do la'ana

[7:18]on those sahaba no shia should beat around the bush and say

[7:22]that we don't have this in our literature at the end of

[7:25]the day other schools in islam have a framework we have a

[7:28]framework we have a framework that is anybody who fights the prophet

[7:33]peace be upon him and his family we dissociate from them completely

[7:38]other schools in islam if you fight the prophet peace be upon

[7:42]him's family you can still be a muslim who jannah opens its

[7:46]doors for for us therefore if i am a kafir because because

[7:52]you'll always see people say that you shia are a kafir if

[7:55]i am a kafir because i curse the companions of the prophet

[8:00]peace be upon him and his family then how about the man

[8:03]who institutes the cursing known as muawiyah this hadith is a hadith

[8:09]of the utmost importance because we have been bullied for too many

[8:13]years we therefore have become apologetic for too many years and at

[8:19]the same time the moment we want to open our mouth do

[8:21]you curse the sahaba hold on how about the king of cursing

[8:24]the sahaba because the amir muawiya in sahih muslim clearly institutes this

[8:33]why therefore is there a law for muawiya and a law for

[8:37]everybody else if it's a level playing field in the same way

[8:41]muawiyah has his opinion about imam ali alaihis salam why can i

[8:47]not have my opinion about the behaviors of certain personalities the moment

[8:52]you begin to question a personality for example like khalid ibn al

[8:56]walid it's as if khalid ibn al walid is infallible the moment

[9:00]you question his behavior then automatically you're a shia how dare you

[9:05]question the behavior of khaled you accuse me of having 12 maasumi

[9:09]and 12 infallibles you created a 100,000 you therefore find that when

[9:14]you come to this tradition this tradition is a tradition that wasn't

[9:19]just a tradition that was instituted for a day or two if

[9:23]for example it was instituted for a day or two its ramifications

[9:28]would really have had no effect the reality is that this tradition

[9:32]was then instilled in children generation after generation that ali is our

[9:39]arch enemy and that all those who are related to him if

[9:44]you ever meet them one day in shyam then take out your

[9:48]venom on his children because if you attack someone's father what's gonna

[9:53]happen one day when you meet his zaynab what happens when you

[9:57]meet his hussain what happens when you meet his grandchildren like sukaina

[10:02]alaihi salaam and others therefore the cursing of imam alaihi salaam was

[10:08]an institution that built generations of hate against imam alaihi salaam if

[10:14]someone today is classified as sunni they love imam i guarantee you

[10:19]that every listener to this lecture will say to you i adore

[10:22]imam they have to thank their lucky stars that they were not

[10:28]born in the first century of the religion of islam because if

[10:32]they even hinted that they loved imam ali alaihi salaam then muawiyah

[10:38]and his henchmen would have been after them let's tonight examine sahih

[10:43]muslim and the hadith which states what prevents you from abusing abu

[10:49]torahab and i'd like to examine this in the following stages number

[10:53]one when muawi says what prevents you what was the line that

[10:59]he had said before this line which is not mentioned in sahih

[11:03]muslim but ibn taymiyya mentions in minhaj sunnah number two when muawiyah

[11:09]asks another sahabi what prevents you what does that show about how

[11:14]normal it was for a sahabi to possibly cursing imam ali alaihi

[11:19]salaam number three abu torab or abu torab the father of dust

[11:26]how did the books try and show that this was the result

[11:29]of a problem he had with fatima alaihi salaam and how for

[11:33]us is the explanation completely different number four what then did mujahid

[11:38]do with imam ali's names in terms of traditions in favor of

[11:43]imam ali alaihi salam and how did it highlight that if you

[11:47]find it a problem for a person to hurt the reputation of

[11:49]a sahabi start with muawiyah first number five how many of the

[11:53]shia rose against this and how did muawiyah broke the agreement or

[11:58]break the agreement with imam al hasan in the treaty by his

[12:01]behavior with the shia who stood up against his cursing of imam

[12:06]ali further than this who were his henchmen who ensured that imam

[12:12]ali was ridiculed and that his people and his lovers and followers

[12:16]were attacked and finally when it came to sham how did imam

[12:20]zain al abideen highlight that today is a war about the fada'il

[12:25]of ali and if you think you're going to be victorious then

[12:28]listen at the way i praise my grandfather and how did he

[12:33]show that praise in his famous sermon even though he was cursed

[12:38]just before that sermon let's examine this and dissect this topic in

[12:42]complete depth the hadith is clear for all of you and the

[12:46]world of technology is so wonderful because the world of technology allows

[12:51]us to delve into books of literature which only fifty years ago

[12:55]you'd have to go to an islamic seminary library to reach if

[12:59]you go to for example sahih muslim online or you go to

[13:03]sahih al bukhari online all i want you to do any of

[13:06]you who are listening to this you may be shiai you love

[13:09]imam alaihi alaihi salam you may be sunni you love imam alaihi

[13:13]alaihi salaam but you certainly don't like someone who curses imam alaihi

[13:17]alaihi salaam and you certainly don't like it when someone comes and

[13:21]attacks the characters of those who came before imam alaihi alaihi salaam

[13:25]so i'm sure that you don't have a rule for the first

[13:28]three khulafa and another rule for imam ali alaihi salaam so when

[13:32]you go now on to sahih muslim or sahih al bukhari i

[13:35]want everybody listening to me wherever you may be in the world

[13:38]to type one word torab t u r a b it's so

[13:45]easy just type torab torab means dust let's look for abu torab

[13:51]for that was his title let's look in sahih muslim and sahih

[13:55]al bukhari those two books are not a hujja on me i

[13:59]really do not care much what's written for it appeals to other

[14:03]schools in islam but for the sake of those who maybe ask

[14:07]why do you shia curse the sahaba of course i will never

[14:11]ever go near cursing salman i'm not worth the floor that salman

[14:15]walks on nor abu dar nor mihdad nor will i even want

[14:19]to go near the likes of jabir and others i on the

[14:23]other hand those who fought imam ali or angered bibi fatima it's

[14:26]a different story for me and i'm sure all muslims agree so

[14:29]when it comes to torahab in sahih al bukhari and sahih muslim

[14:33]when you type torahab in sahih muslim there's a tradition which is

[14:39]flabbergasting it really is and the tradition is narrated by who one

[14:44]of sa'ad ibn abi waqaas's sons sa'ad ibn abi waqaas had a

[14:48]number of sons one of them you all know was the commander

[14:51]of the armed forces at karbala allah alaihi omar ibn sa'ad another

[14:56]one they call amr others give different names amr talks of the

[15:01]fact when muawiyah appointed his father to be governor muawiyah asks sa'ad

[15:08]bin abi waqas one of the 10 granted jannah what prevents you

[15:19]from cursing abit torah now we have two types of words or

[15:24]a few words for cursing one of them is shat or shatim

[15:28]another one is seb shatim you may say it just one word

[15:33]to hurt someone sab is continuous reviling okay so sometimes when you

[15:39]curse someone you just say one word and that's enough you finish

[15:42]them another time you go this this this and so on so

[15:46]he asks this is not in shia literature so someone says you

[15:52]shia curse the sakhaba this is in non shia literature we are

[15:56]asking sa'ad bin abi waqas why is it what prevents you from

[16:01]cursing abi torah now the moment he asks him this question of

[16:05]course you find that people jump because they need to defend muawiyah

[16:10]so how do they do it they defend him in a number

[16:13]of ways one way they defend him is by saying what he's

[16:17]surprised he's saying sad what prevents you from cursing abba torahab everyone

[16:22]else is cursing him but what's preventing you for what reason are

[16:25]you not cursing abba torahab so they try and say that muhawi

[16:29]was saying it with full sincerity and innocence that what is it

[16:33]that's stopping you for what reason you know me you others will

[16:37]never curse abu torahab so what's stopping you what could be your

[16:40]reason ibn taymiyyah however in minhaaj sunnah makes it clear that muawiyah

[16:47]had given an order to sa'ad an order to curse imam ali

[16:52]alaihis salam for abba sa'ad said no then muawiyah said what prevents

[17:02]you from cursing about torahab ibn taymiyah opened a door that others

[17:07]had closed because ibn taymiyah wanted to highlight muawiyah he didn't just

[17:11]ask what prevents you first he ordered him and you'll see in

[17:15]sahih al bukhari when you type torahab that sahal bin sa'ad sa'adi

[17:20]is asked by one of the offspring of marwan again i've asked

[17:24]all of you online to type torahab in bukhari and muslim again

[17:28]bin salazar is asked by one of the offspring of marwan curse

[17:32]ali he says i won't okay at least curse abu turab so

[17:36]it shows you that the idea within bani umayyah of cursing imam

[17:41]ali either by the name ali or by the name abu chorab

[17:44]is both in bukhari and muslim both of them that there is

[17:49]this question which is posed by muawiya now if sahaba don't curse

[17:56]sahaba would that ever come through your head would you ever entertain

[18:00]the thought that another sahabi would you wouldn't never because if the

[18:05]sahaba all love each other they all admire each other firstly we

[18:10]wouldn't have jamal we wouldn't have saffin where all of them are

[18:13]butchering the living daylights out of each other secondly if the sahaba

[18:18]all loved each other muawi would never ask this question to sa'ad

[18:22]because it would be normal to love ali and he certainly if

[18:26]he thought the khawarij hated imam ali sa'ad bin abi waqas is

[18:30]promised jannah so surely he wouldn't expect someone promised jannah to curse

[18:35]another one who's promised jannah because in the list of 10 who

[18:38]are they abu bakr omar uthman ali sa'ad bin abi waqas abdul

[18:43]rahman bin aftal hazuber and so on and the narrator himself he

[18:48]certainly wouldn't expect sa'ad to curse imam ali imagine my dear brothers

[18:52]and sisters only how many years only thirty odd years after rasulullah

[18:58]sallallaho alaihi wa'aleh passed away it was normal for muslims to curse

[19:02]sahaba which sahabi not even sahabi the nafs of muhammad sallallaho alaihi

[19:08]wa'alehi why do i say the nafs because sahad says i won't

[19:13]curse ali for if i was given one of the three things

[19:17]that he would was given as an attribute by the holy prophet

[19:21]peace be upon his family it would be dearer to me than

[19:23]a red camel said to him what is it he mentions three

[19:27]incidents which three one clear quran because you know there are some

[19:32]people who will say i don't want hadith i want quran and

[19:36]there are some who will come and say that you shia have

[19:39]to realize that this idea of authority being something divine you should

[19:47]have to realize that there is no mentioning of this in the

[19:50]quran what happens if the quran mentions a person as being the

[19:53]nafs of muhammad can there be a higher honor which sahabi is

[19:58]the nefs of rasoolallah sa'ad says i won't curse ali for three

[20:03]reasons the first reason which one the day of mubahala on the

[20:09]day of mubahala when the christians of najran muslims out there go

[20:12]and research the christians of najran when they came on the day

[20:15]of if you differ with us about their position go to the

[20:27]event of mubahala the prophet peace be upon his family clearly showed

[20:31]that none comes near ashaab al kisa none comes near these five

[20:35]these are not people who come after me these are my neps

[20:39]these are from the same noor as my noor what happened he

[20:45]said on that day the christians of course they had come towards

[20:47]rasulullah they wanted to enter mubahala where we ask allah to do

[20:52]lahana to withdraw his rahma from those who are the disbelievers the

[20:57]rasoolallah sallallaho alaihi wa'alehi the quran came to him and sa'ad quotes

[21:01]this ayah however many books of tafasir later which i'll come to

[21:06]shortly about muawiyah's plans of how you remove imam ali's name however

[21:11]many books of tafasir which came later the books of tafasir look

[21:14]inside muslim when it came to the eye of mubahala bismillah rahman

[21:18]raheem firstly clearly in the quran secondly what do we see sa'ad

[21:36]says who are the women fatima al zahra alaihis salam and who

[21:41]do we see as being the self or who are the sons

[21:46]imam al hassan and imam al hussain and when we come to

[21:49]see and who is the nafs of muhammad sallallaho alaihi wa'alehi who

[21:54]is it imam ali alaihis salam imam ali cannot be counted as

[21:58]sahaba sahaba i've never been called the nafs of muhammad sallallahu alaihi

[22:02]wa'ale you'll find a hadith where rasulullah may be asked who is

[22:06]the best after you in other schools other than the shia he

[22:08]may say abu bakr and then omar and then uthmar and then

[22:11]they ask him how about ali he says ali ibn nefsir rasul

[22:14]he's from the nefs our light our noor was created years before

[22:18]adam sa'ad says the first reason why i will not curse a

[22:25]another sahabi b imam ali is what is number one mubahala just

[22:32]mubahala he said one of three things if they came to me

[22:36]dearer to me than a red camel the second one is what

[22:39]the day of khaybar because the day of khaybar highlighted there's a

[22:42]clear difference between abu torahab and everybody else everybody else while allah

[22:47]marhab's looking at these and he's wondering these keep coming and there's

[22:51]none of them who could mess with me i'm the bravest jewish

[22:54]warrior out there these guys are meant to be brave and i'm

[22:57]just finishing them one by one bring me someone on my level

[23:01]and when he saw a dream of a lion attacking him he

[23:05]knew when he met haydar and no doubt how sa'ad doesn't just

[23:09]describe on the day of khaybar he said that the prophet said

[23:14]that he is sending someone allah and him love him and he

[23:18]loves allah and the prophet without a doubt he goes on the

[23:23]battlefield he's a kara that never comes back except with victory number

[23:28]two khaybar number three what was number three the battle of tabuk

[23:34]imam ali's only battle which he did not go and then he

[23:37]remained behind and sa'ad describes this by saying the prophet said ali

[23:42]you are to me like harun was to musa except that there

[23:47]is no prophet after me what prevents you from cursing abu torahab

[23:56]if you're telling me us the shia are kuffar because we encourage

[24:01]cursing then how about muawiyah when he encourages the cursing of imam

[24:05]alaihis salam surely a muslim with any aql living today will straight

[24:10]away say i do not belong to a sect that encourages or

[24:15]is proud of personalities who encourage the cursing of imam ali alaihis

[24:20]salam he says what what prevents you on cursing turab who's abu

[24:25]turab many of us in our poetry qasidah nabi marcia we always

[24:32]mention abu turab abu turab is the father of dust when it

[24:36]comes to the saha what do they say father of dust why

[24:39]imam ali and father al zahra had a quarrel so he left

[24:42]home because of that quarrel and he was asleep in the mosque

[24:45]the prophet saw some dust had gathered and he said to him

[24:48]get up abu torab and that it became really loving for him

[24:52]remembering that day what a lot of absolute nonsense absolute nonsense just

[25:00]because you're jealous of imam alaihi alaihi salam's relationship with father wontisarah

[25:04]alaihi salam doesn't mean you start making up traditions but that's what

[25:08]muawiyah done brilliantly muawiyah made sure that if the media is in

[25:12]my hands then i go after the man i fought at saffin

[25:16]i want to finish him and how do you finish him you

[25:19]finish him by spreading such nonsense why do i say abu torahab

[25:22]i come from different angles abu torahab one angle surah 78 verse

[25:26]number 40 in the quran on the day of judgment what does

[25:30]mankind say on that day we will say i wish i was

[25:34]dust meaning that i wish i was with the father of dust

[25:38]i wish i was a torahbee i wish i was abu torahbee

[25:42]i wish i was someone who followed abu torah on the other

[25:45]hand if i look at it on a more basic explanation imam

[25:48]ali alaihi salam one day asleep ammar bin yasir was next to

[25:51]him asleep they had gone on an expedition and those soldiers who

[25:55]they were meant to fight they did not fight them they were

[25:57]both asleep rasulullah came removed the dust and said get up oh

[26:01]abu torah simple what is this part about zara and imam ali

[26:04]having a fight and imam ali leaves and he goes to the

[26:07]mosque and sleeps imam ali and father mazarat first there's no such

[26:10]thing as a quarrel between them unless the sons of abu sufyan

[26:14]have something to do with the pen then there's definitely quarrels between

[26:17]them and number two what do we find imam ali what goes

[26:20]to the mosque and just suddenly sleeps in the middle of the

[26:22]mosque that's imam ali alaihi salam if you show me someone retired

[26:25]who wants to sleep in the mosque the whole day i can

[26:28]understand imam ali alaihi salam what's he doing going to sleep in

[26:31]a mosque and then rasulullah has nothing else to say but get

[26:34]up abu taurab get up give me a break therefore for the

[26:38]umayyads because someone said muawiyah if he disliked imam ali wouldn't call

[26:43]him abu torahab because abu torahab is a beloved title to imam

[26:47]ali alaihis salam beloved to imam ali derogatory for the umayyads to

[26:52]imam ali alaihis salam it's beloved if rasoolallah sallallaho alaihi wa'alehi gives

[26:56]me a title i love that title whatever my title is but

[27:00]if you look in sahih al bukhari look at the word torahab

[27:03]in bukhari then sahil bin saad says the governor one of the

[27:07]offspring of marwan marwan's children and the rest of them when they

[27:11]came in one of the offspring was the one who said to

[27:15]him curse ali he said i won't he then said to him

[27:18]curse abu turab and sahel says that was the most beloved name

[27:23]to imam ali alaihi sala why would he say curse abu turab

[27:26]if it was good for imam ali because he knew it was

[27:27]derogatory for them the umayyads they wanted the idea that look you're

[27:32]called the father of dust is that your title for us we

[27:35]don't care because we know that he's if i could go on

[27:45]all night talking about his merits and it will still not be

[27:48]enough and as much as you try that's why you know the

[27:51]six saha books bukhari muslim tirmidhi go ask nassai six sahih books

[28:01]i ask everybody listening to this lecture in the six sahih books

[28:05]you have one of the authors nassai you'll see sahih al bukhari

[28:09]sahih muslim sunan al tirmidhi sunan abidawood sunan ibn majah or the

[28:15]sahih ibn majah come to nasa'i why was nasa'i killed nasa'i was

[28:19]killed they asked him give us the merits of muawiyah don't have

[28:23]nothing really stomach maybe gets full and so on prayers like that

[28:26]give us the merits of ali from now until the day of

[28:29]judgment if i keep narrating the merits of imam alaihayasam will never

[28:31]be enough they tortured him to death if one of the authors

[28:36]and that's why i always believe that there were some people who

[28:40]loved imam ali even though they were not shia but they were

[28:43]tortured because of their love of imam ali alaihi salam there are

[28:46]some mu'tazili scholars who praised imam ali even though they were not

[28:49]shia but what became the norm muawiyah made sure it became the

[28:53]norm who were his soldiers who made sure it became the norm

[28:57]number one abu hurairah now when i say this by the way

[29:02]i say this is muawiyah soldier and you cannot turn around to

[29:06]me and say well you cannot say that because you accept that

[29:08]muhawiyah cursing imam ali is okay so when i talk about a

[29:13]sahabi then there's no issue no issue because now i talk about

[29:18]abu hurairah i'm sure you agree abu hurairah is not masoom and

[29:21]the only thing you know about abu hurairah's life is the few

[29:23]years that he lived with rasulullah and many hadiths that he narrated

[29:28]but other than that what do you know about abu hurairah's life

[29:30]ask many after tell me about abu hurairah's life what is there

[29:35]about abu hurairah's life but you find abu hurairah was one of

[29:40]the soldiers of muawiyah because muawiyah the first thing he did delete

[29:44]the merits of ali first thing you make sure you delete them

[29:48]or you give them to others two ways either you delete give

[29:53]them to others who's his henchman number one abu hurairah and for

[29:56]those who don't believe abu hurairah had no respect allah for amir

[30:00]al muminin for imam ali number two all of you know the

[30:03]name amrab nalaas another of the soldiers of muawiyah and number three

[30:09]who's number three mughir number four one of the tabiaan or wab

[30:13]nizubair these four soldiers if you ever want to see soldiers of

[30:18]bani ummayah they may have been in their day soldiers of rasulullah

[30:22]they may have been soldiers of the first caliph or the second

[30:25]caliph but later on they were soldiers of muawiyah and they were

[30:30]on that umayyid manhaj what prevents you from cursing abu torahab those

[30:38]four were on that manhaj muawiyah made sure that these four would

[30:42]make sure ali's merits give them to others ali's merits delete them

[30:47]ali's merits fabricate them do you know that people were imprisoned if

[30:51]they narrated a merit of imam do you know people could not

[30:55]witness in court if they had said fada'il of imam alaihis salam

[30:59]do you know how many people's wages were cut if they praised

[31:02]abu torab do you know if people's children were named imam alaihis

[31:08]salam they were named ali you do know they would have to

[31:10]change them go to sia and go to other books you'll find

[31:16]that they would change ali to who to olei olei lakhmi and

[31:22]others why were they called olei not because you love the name

[31:25]but because if you were called ali then who would come after

[31:29]you another of the soldiers ziyad son of his father this one

[31:33]is always a calamity when you hear his name can you imagine

[33:38]ziyad when he caught maitham at tamar what did he say to

[33:40]him stop singing the praises of abu torahab i'll let you go

[33:43]what did maitham do keep singing the praises of abu torahab he

[35:20]enough you made an agreement with imam al hassan a treaty and

[35:25]part of that treaty was you'll stop the cursing of my father

[35:29]imam al hassan said to him in the treaty now you curse

[35:33]imam ali do you know what they would do institute it became

[35:36]his sunnah and if someone left the sunnah of cursing imam ali

[35:39]say direct the sunnah you left the sunnah if you stopped cursing

[35:45]abu turab or you were not of those who cursed abu turab

[35:48]your wages will be cut you cannot even testify as a witness

[35:54]he said to him i will not accept your cursing of my

[36:00]master he said we'll execute you and the confidence hujar ibn hadi

[36:04]had because when you have that iman and that taqwa and you

[36:08]have that wala why do i say in the beginning of my

[36:10]majalis all the time why do i say that because alhamdulillah that

[36:16]allah blessed me on the path of imam ali alaihis salam and

[36:20]not on the path of muawiyah and those who appointed muawiyah alhamdulillah

[36:24]because i'm on a clean path that never cursed al muhammad not

[36:29]a path that praises people who in sahih muslim are asking each

[36:34]other what prevents you do you know what one person once said

[36:37]to you will not believe this a person said yes muawiyah cursed

[36:41]imam ali yeah but that's not as bad as the wars that

[36:45]took place you know wars took place between muawiyah imam ali so

[36:49]cursing is not as bad as the war we agree with you

[36:51]who's who was the one who made that war happen muawiyah who

[36:55]made that war happen they say no no yeah yeah you know

[36:58]muawiyah cursed ali but you can't understand there's political differences when i

[37:02]have a problem with a companion you bully me left right and

[37:07]center how dare you cause trouble but when you see a companion

[37:13]cursing another one misjudgments happen you know misjudgments so why is mine

[37:18]not a misjudgment why am i automatically a kaafir says i will

[37:25]not they say to him we're going to execute you execute me

[37:32]standing up against muawiyah they said to him what's your last wish

[38:27]no other reason that all of these were executed these men of

[38:31]honor men of piety men of justice and all of them were

[38:36]executed for that very reason therefore he made sure that he instituted

[38:42]the sunnah of the cursing of imam ali alaihi salam if muawiyah

[38:47]therefore is saying what prevents you sahid bin saad says that they're

[38:51]ordering the offspring of marwan that means that it stopped with muawiyah

[38:55]if it's the offspring of marwan muawiyah is the first khalif of

[38:58]bani muawiyah who came after yazid muawiyah who came after muawiyah marwan

[39:06]ibn hakkim who came after marwan ibn hakkim then you go to

[39:10]the sons of marwan abdul malik and so on and then after

[39:13]that you continue to the sons of aziz omar ibn abdul aziz

[39:17]is the one who stopped the cursing of imam ali alaihis salam

[39:20]because you know if you went to the mosque of rasoolallah sallallahu

[39:23]alaihi wa'alehi in medina they would be cursing imam ali you go

[39:27]to kufa cursing imam ali you go to basra cursing imam ali

[39:31]if you were not shi'i at that time you would have been

[39:35]raised as a child hating anything or anyone to do with imam

[39:39]ali alaihi salam umar bin abdul aziz when he was younger he

[39:43]narrates that my tutor when he said something bad to me i

[39:48]cursed ali and he looked at me with a bad look i

[39:51]said how dare you look at me like that you know who

[39:53]i am i'm the son of a khalifa and then he said

[39:56]to me when i teach you the quran don't i teach you

[39:58]about the battle of badr he said yes he said in the

[40:01]battle of badr those who fought in the battle we respect them

[40:05]he said of course he said how about the man who killed

[40:07]half of the opposition that day he said of course we love

[40:09]him whoever he is he said the one who you just cursed

[40:14]is that man umar ibn abdul aziz would say my father about

[40:19]everybody when he talk about anyone eloquent except ali he'd stutter i'd

[40:24]say dad why do you stutter when you talk about ali but

[40:27]everybody else you're eloquent he said because if the people knew about

[40:30]his rights they would not give us our rights but we've hidden

[40:34]it because muawiyah made sure on the one hand fabricate narrations give

[40:39]them to others the ones how many times you hear a story

[40:41]giving someone else and you're like i swear that's imam ali's story

[40:45]and they've given it to everybody everybody the candle story being a

[40:49]prime example the candle story blow out the candle put the other

[40:52]one they gave it to somebody else other stories about the church

[40:55]quotes even they gave quotes of imam ali to somebody else why

[42:03]my intellect therefore that institution would continue when you make such an

[42:10]institution grow what then happens when you make such an institution grow

[42:16]it then leaves on to one path and that is anybody associated

[42:20]with ali you grow up hating them even if you've never met

[42:24]them all you've been told is that that ali in shamm what

[42:27]was one of the best rumors they created by imam ali when

[42:30]he was killed in sujood and the news reached shamm the moment

[42:34]he reached shamm people were like ali's been killed how in his

[42:37]sujood oh does he pray allahu akwa now that's media that's perfect

[42:42]media that person his child grows up hating ali his child grows

[42:48]up hating the sons of ali and then his child doesn't mind

[42:52]taking out his venom on the daughters and the granddaughters of imam

[42:56]alaihis salam what do you think kufa and sham did when zaynab

[43:00]walked past what do you think heard sayyidah zaynab alaihis salam the

[43:04]most what do you think do you think it's the head of

[43:06]her brother on a spear possibly do you think it's hitting her

[43:10]another thing but we all know one thing we can never take

[43:14]as humans is someone cursing our parents and to have it every

[43:18]moment when ibn ziyad would call out curse be on your father

[43:24]the liar and your brother and abdullah ibn hafiq al asdi had

[43:28]that wonderful stand blind man he said curse on you you liar

[43:33]son of a liar appointed by a liar son of a liar

[43:37]abdullah ibn abi al azdi was blind couldn't see he heard zayn

[43:41]abdul daughter of ali enter the court of ibn ziyad it broke

[43:44]his heart and he heard crowds in kufa saying he couldn't believe

[43:53]it he entered the court of ibn ziyad he said ibn ziyad

[43:55]listen to what he says you're a liar your father's a liar

[43:59]the one who appointed you is a liar and his father's a

[44:03]liar ibn ziyad went to attack him his tribe came and took

[44:06]him took him to the house that animal ibn ziyad you know

[44:13]what he did ibn ziyad that night sent people towards the house

[44:17]a man's blind the man's blind but the man was brave he

[44:22]sent people to ambush him in the house just when he heard

[44:24]people outside the house he said to his daughter i may be

[44:27]blind but you've got a mouth and you can say words you

[44:32]give me my sword and tell me which ones are coming right

[44:35]which ones are coming left i lost an eye with ali at

[44:37]jamal and another eye i lost with him at safeen and i

[44:40]can fight any of these she threw the sword to him dad

[44:43]on the right he'd fight on the right dad on the left

[44:45]and he'd finish a number of them until they were executed why

[44:48]because he couldn't take his mola being cursed you get angry when

[44:53]someone curses the ones you love and we shia ahmed to sit

[44:56]back and accept any framework you have your framework respect whoever you

[45:00]want to respect but allow us to have our framework and allow

[45:03]us to have our narrative don't bully us enough of the bullying

[45:08]so what happened was in kusham in kufa they would curse imam

[45:12]ali nonstop hurt zaina break her heart and how many times she'd

[45:17]have to hold in listening to her father being cursed because she

[45:20]loved her father she admired her father and then as soon as

[45:24]they entered sham they came to curse who they came to curse

[45:28]imam zain al abideen alaihis salam because they knew that this was

[45:32]the grandson of ali we've been brought up hating abu turab seb

[45:36]of abu turab here's abu turab's grandson a man came to him

[45:40]curse beyond you and your grandfather and you can imagine the sight

[45:45]of imam ali ibn hussain chain around his neck cutting through him

[45:49]the same sahel who mentions about how they used to abuse imam

[45:53]ali says i was walking through sham and i heard people they

[45:58]were partying imagine imagine you rasoolallah your ummah your ummah fifty years

[46:03]after you died are having parties and carnivals while your granddaughters are

[46:09]taken as prisoners you rasoolallah how could muslims accept this wallah look

[46:13]at your conscience my dear brothers and sisters they were walking through

[46:18]sahil says i asked the people what is this a day of

[46:20]eid they said you must be an arab nomad he said no

[46:22]i'm sahil bin salih al saadi companion rasoolallah they said don't be

[46:26]surprised if the sky is rain blood the earth swallows its inhabitants

[46:30]that is ali ibn al hussein and that zaynab granddaughter of rasulallah

[46:35]he saw them chain to chain chain to chain some of the

[46:40]children were tiptoeing because the others were too tall he says at

[46:46]that moment i came to imam ali ibn hussain and he said

[46:49]he said to me sahil get me a piece of cloth he

[46:51]took the cloth placed it between his chain and neck you found

[46:57]then a man came to imam zain al abidin said curse be

[47:00]on you imam looked at him look at the akhlaq of al

[47:02]muhammad he said oh man have you read the quran he said

[47:06]yes he said to him have you the it's muhammad he said

[47:26]have you read the ayah i don't ask from you anything except

[47:33]love for my near ones he said yes it's bat'al muhammad he

[47:35]said you know who we are he said no but i heard

[47:40]that your grandfather was evil khawarij rebel and i heard that you're

[47:45]his grandson he said no he said we are al muhammad al

[47:49]muhammad we're going through the streets and imam zainul abi knew that

[47:53]muawiyah wins if there's no father ill of imam no merits so

[47:58]you know what i'm gonna do i'm gonna make sure all the

[48:00]merits come out he stood in front of yazid when he stood

[48:04]in front of yazid he came out with merit one after the

[48:08]other all of you have heard these lines before i am the

[48:12]son of halil mortada the one who fought the disbelievers until they

[48:17]said i am the son of the man who fought at badr

[48:22]and hunain i am the son of the man who fought with

[48:26]two swords and with two spears went on two migrations pledged two

[48:30]allegiances i am the son of the man who was assisted by

[48:34]jibrael and mikaeel and did not disbelief for even the twinkling of

[48:39]an eye i am the son of the treasure of allah's wisdom

[48:43]i am the arrow the son of the one who was an

[48:47]arrow targeting the hypocrites the best of them in prayer and the

[48:50]purest of them he exterminated the progeny of his enemies and disturbed

[48:55]the disbeliever parties he owned a constant heart a firm will and

[49:00]a steadfast resolution i am the son of the man who was

[49:05]a makhi and a madani a haifi and an atabi a muhajiri

[49:10]a shejari i am the son of the inheritor of the mash'arain

[49:14]i am the son of the father of hassan al hussain all

[49:17]of these lines that were said were said for which reason the

[49:21]father will never stop you can keep cursing as much as you

[49:24]want you can keep hiding history but here i am in sham

[49:28]in muawiyah's backyard with chains around my neck and i'll continue to

[49:33]narrate the merits of my grandfather emir al mumineen i'm also the

[49:39]son of hu i'm the son of khadij atal kubra i'm the

[49:42]son of fatima tazarah likewise who am i the son of the

[49:47]man whose body lies on the plains of karbala take your hearts

[49:53]with me tonight to karabbalah to the shrine of abi abdullah hussain

[49:59]alaihi salam and if you can if you can come with me

[50:04]towards genital we stand next to imam zayn al abideen the thoughts

[50:13]and the memories of imam zayn al abideen would never stop when

[50:18]he'd remember what they did to imam al hussain alaihi salam and

[50:24]that's why we have many narrations where the tears would flow from

[50:29]the cheeks of the imam and abu hamzat al ma'ali would say

[50:33]to him oh imam oh imam have the patience why do you

[50:38]cry so many years after karabbalah he'd say to him oh abi

[50:43]hamzah no one think you did not stop crying for yusuf although

[50:49]yusuf was still alive i saw 17 members of my family butchered

[50:57]on the plains of karabella in front of me one moment i

[51:02]see akbar calling my father the moment i see qasem saying uncle

[51:08]come help me another moment i see a six month old baby

[51:13]flap its hands like a bird flaps its wings then another time

[51:18]i hear a buzz on the ground calling out towards his master

[51:24]of course the imam would continue all the time reciting the masaib

[51:29]ib remembering the tragedy that his father went through on one occasion

[51:35]when he came past the butcher who was about to slaughter a

[51:40]sheep he said to him oh butcher do you give water to

[51:44]that sheep before you slaughter it he said to him oh imam

[51:50]of course i do for it is a creation of allah and

[51:55]every every creation deserves water before you slaughter it the imam would

[52:01]look towards him and say to him oh man my father died

[52:06]and no one gave him any water on another occasion he'd come

[52:11]near the graveyard he'd see people burying the bodies all of you

[52:15]know where i'm heading my dear brothers and sisters he'd see people

[52:19]burying the bodies he'd say to them when i die would you

[52:23]bury my body the man would look at him and say of

[52:27]course oh grandson of rasulullah when you die it would be our

[52:32]honor to bury your body he'd look at him with the tears

[52:36]flowing from his eyes and he'd say to him oh man my

[52:41]father lay on the ground for three nights with no honor to

[52:45]bury his holy body but watch of zaynab ali salam in sham

[52:52]one moment we go to zaynab alaihi of zaynab salam imagine being

[53:00]hit imagine being slapped imagine being kicked but all of them all

[53:05]of them were not the same as when they cursed amir al

[53:08]mumineen in front of her father father come look at us father

[53:15]father come look at the way they've attacked your children father father

[53:20]come look at the way they curse you come look at the

[53:24]way sits there and cries before you let's raise our hands my

[53:34]dear brothers and sisters you allah allow us to be amongst those

[53:38]who protect the wilayah of imam ali you allah let the wilayah

[53:44]protect us we ask you to allow us to remain on the

[53:47]path of amir al mumin you allah this year unfortunately we are

[53:53]not in the land of najaf we wish we could be next

[53:57]to amir al mumin holding his shrine if our sins have prevented

[54:03]us you allah then we ask for your forgiveness if however it

[54:07]is due to other restrictions then allow us to visit that holy

[54:10]shrine of amir al mumineen and pledge our allegiance to imam ali

[54:15]ibn abi talib we pray to allah subhanahu wa ta'ala for those

[54:19]who are feeling unwell at this moment some of our brothers and

[54:21]sisters their parents have cancer others their parents have heart problems others

[54:25]they have children with difficulties others because of covid let's all recite

[54:29]the ayah of the quran all of us together please my dear

[54:31]brothers and sisters we pray to allah subhanahu wa ta'ala with the

[54:59]surat al fatiha in honor of the marhumin and in honor of

[55:03]the originators of this majlis and the team at imam al hussain

[55:06]tv but before it we welcome our our
