[0:00]um so as I'm talking you guys can spend the time thinking
[0:04]and not paying attention to what I'm saying so it works out
[0:07]well some of you might be celebrating aid on Sunday depends on
[0:14]which manager you are following and some of you may be celebrating
[0:22]it on Monday so Sunday night for some of you would be
[0:25]the day over 8:00 in the evening and some of you would
[0:31]be the eve of Eid so the question that I have for
[0:37]you given that we're such democratic country and we love democracy is
[0:40]for you guys to think about whether or not you want to
[0:43]have a lecture on Sunday night so think about it and then
[0:48]let me know at the end of the lecture Shalvis I spent
[0:51]the whole time I'm talking you just think whether you want to
[0:54]have a lecture on Sunday night or you don't want to have
[0:57]a lecture on Sunday night so as I'm talking I'll see some
[0:59]coins being tossed I'll see some things maybe somebody will pull out
[1:03]the Quran making a Sahaba you know maybe it's different ways that
[1:08]you guys make up your decisions but inshallah by the end of
[1:12]the talk we'll make a quick survey yes and thank you just
[1:15]to bribe me to stay on Sunday thanks yeah okay all right
[1:20]all right so it's by the end of the talk tonight we
[1:23]need to decide if we decide that we don't want to have
[1:28]a lecture on Sunday then I will make sure that I wrap
[1:32]up my whole discussion by tomorrow if we are going to have
[1:34]a lecture then that gives me an extra day so I know
[1:38]how to adjust my speed and my discussion so just let me
[1:41]know by the end insha'Allah so we can kind of think about
[1:46]it all right okay miss Minerva Minerva hey Mel hamdulillah lemon bar

[4:19]be huh oh so the unknown Eileen la même Solana Muhammad Ali
[4:26]Mohammed okay so we have been discussing the journeys of the whole
[4:37]nine the Quran speaks of three journeys we spoke about his first
[4:41]journey to the west then his second journey to the east and
[4:51]now his third journey on his third journey he arrives somewhere in
[4:57]the middle here we don't know exactly where this is not the
[5:00]West anymore it's not the Far East anymore somewhere in the middle
[5:07]now apparently it's some place which has mountains so he comes to
[5:14]a mountainous terrain and from the ayat of the Quran it appears
[5:19]there two major mountains Allah says Timaeus Ababa after he went far
[5:27]east and he met those people who are living a very primitive
[5:31]life he taught them he educated them and then he moved on
[5:34]he continued he moved remember Allah subhana WA Ta'ala had taught the
[5:44]bog nine the means of everything so he knew how to travel
[5:49]and his travel was quick somehow he travels Allah says hat Isabella
[5:55]cabinas said Dane until he comes between the two the words used
[6:02]in the Quran is two dams said means dam however it's not
[6:04]referring to a dam a mountain here is what is referred to
[6:06]because a mountain sometimes you know acts as a dam a barrier
[6:12]so it's a barrier so he comes between the two barriers at
[6:15]Bella Davina's said Dane so he comes between the two barriers two
[6:19]mountains what did he find Roger de Mendoza Hima OMA liya Cardona
[6:27]of Kahuna Cola group of people there as well so some people
[6:31]who are living there and he was curious about those people these
[6:40]people were a bit different apparently they were not as primitive as
[6:48]the previous people whom he met however he had difficulty communicating with
[6:57]them either because they were simple and so they did not understand
[7:03]the language or their language was just difficult or something that is
[7:07]not very well known not among the well known languages of his
[7:10]time so he had a difficulty communicating with them you know sometimes
[7:17]depending on the language you speak even if you speak English sometimes
[7:24]if you speak a sophisticated language that people don't understand they won't
[7:28]have a clue what you're talking about even though you speak English
[7:30]I remember when we were doing you know when I was doing
[7:35]my PhD in chemistry we were invited once to go to a
[7:38]talk presented by a physicist and the talk was discussing the nuclear
[7:43]reactions that are happening on the Sun you know the Sun has
[7:49]some nuclear reactions that take place so a bunch of us you
[7:52]know we're graduate students PhD candidates we went there and we started
[7:54]listening to the talk at the end of the talk we came
[7:57]out and some of my colleagues were looking at each other's like
[7:59]did you understand a word what this guy was talking about and
[8:03]they were like you know well it was a you know you
[8:07]had to pay attention to quite understand what this guy was talking
[8:10]about what the presenter you know we're chemists these guys and physicists
[8:13]although we're all scientists but the language language is different so sometimes
[8:18]you might speak the same language but if it's at a higher
[8:21]level then the opposite may not understand what you're talking about if
[8:26]they don't have that qualification so it was either one of those
[8:32]cases where maybe they just didn't understand what the line was talking
[8:36]about because the language was his language was a bit so sophisticated
[8:38]for them or it may be because it was just a unique
[8:44]language you know a region that spoke a specific language it was
[8:47]not a popular language you know one of those reasons God knows
[8:53]nonetheless one tells us he comes to this place between two mountains
[8:57]group of people and they don't understand what he speaks but somehow
[9:01]they managed to communicate sign language maybe interpreter translator somehow not only
[9:10]this apparently those people recognized the pug name they knew of him
[9:14]because when they saw him they asked him they started asking him
[9:21]a favor or quest what do they need what do they ask
[9:28]all ouya del canaan they said del canaan we have a problem
[9:29]what is your problem there is a community out there there's a
[9:36]group out there they called here George and Matt George who are
[9:40]you jujin Matt Jude we'll discuss that briefly later there's that community
[9:45]out there a group out there okay what's a problem well those
[9:53]people are troublemakers what do they do in the juju I'm juju
[9:56]Moxie do Novell Adam they cost corruption the troublemakers apparently these guys
[10:06]like I said they were not very primitive they had some sort
[10:14]of trade some sort of economics system maybe they had an agricultural
[10:21]system maybe they were farmers so they said to the hog nein
[10:23]this group of people jujin met Jews they come to us and
[10:29]they cause corruption they steal our wealth sometimes they kill some of
[10:35]our our men they distress us and they run away and then
[10:40]we try to rebuild and then guess what they come back again
[10:44]and they cause us a lot of headache we are in constant
[10:50]fear and when you are in constant fear you cannot progress you
[10:54]cannot move forward I'll come to that in Sharla we'll go through
[10:58]the story and then we'll stop on some of the comments inshallah
[11:04]so we are living in constant fear so what do you want
[11:07]here's what they asked for for Helena Holika Hagen Allah and touch-a
[11:12]Lebanon Albania home set da here is this something interesting how about
[11:18]this we're gonna hire you we'll pay you how about if we
[11:22]pay you in exchange of you creating damn this time they ask
[11:28]for a damn a barrier some kind of a dam some kind
[11:30]of a barrier between them and between us now that's quite interesting
[11:36]it means this group of people they were a bit more developed
[11:41]than the primitive people they they hire what we call today consultants
[11:43]in a consultant will hire you and will pay you for it
[11:49]so they had that kind of understanding they had that kind of
[11:53]knowledge where we will hire you to do some work for us
[11:57]and we'll pay you we'll give you money for it or a
[11:59]construction worker you know we need some construction here so you consult
[12:06]us you built for us and we'll reimburse you how about that
[12:08]so they trying to make a trade here some trade so this
[12:13]indicates these people were not very primitive they had some kind of
[12:18]understanding some kind of financial systems etc okay so what was his
[12:24]response he responded hola mama can Neifi here a behavior he said
[12:32]what Allah has given me is much better than what you guys
[12:34]are planning to give me I don't need your money whatever you
[12:38]give me Allah subhana WA Ta'ala has given me for our much
[12:41]greater than what you are Allah says in the Quran earlier on
[12:46]and nomicon Allah who fell out of we enabled him on the
[12:47]land Allah has taught him all the resources if he needs gold
[12:51]he know he knows where to find the gold he knows where
[12:52]to find the silver you knows where to find the diamond Allah
[12:56]gave him that ability not only that Allah showed him the means
[12:59]not only does he have the knowledge you also have the knowledge
[13:03]of how to get them out how to use them how to
[13:04]utilize them so whatever you guys are offering me I don't needed
[13:08]Alabama can mean fee here upbeat hyah Allah subhana WA Ta'ala has
[13:14]given me share has give me lots of good things I don't
[13:16]need that however what I really need of you guys okay I
[13:22]accept I will help you but there's something you need to provide
[13:26]me with what is it you need Oh agile by Nicole Medina
[13:31]home or edema you need to help me I need the manpower
[13:37]I need your support if you guys are willing to invest time
[13:40]support me help me I can help you as well Allah says
[13:47]another part in the Quran in Allah hallelujah Omaha woman hacked a
[13:51]yo-yo ma be and foster him Allah does not change the state
[13:56]of a community unless they change from within themselves if you guys
[14:01]are willing to change such that you are united you're working together
[14:05]you help me you follow my instructions you follow my leadership then
[14:10]I will help you not just building a dam they asked for
[14:15]I said that's what they use said Doug said da means a
[14:21]dam you know a barrier he replied he said I'm not only
[14:22]will I build you a said he said I will build you
[14:25]a baina home a gradma at random we have said which is
[14:31]a barrier add an algorithm which is a very well made barrier
[14:35]something that is even beyond what you've asked for beyond your expectations
[14:39]I'm gonna build you something which is going to last good material
[14:44]it's like okay great mashallah all right but that's the deal you
[14:52]have to help me you have to work with me we have
[14:53]to work together we have to be united by myself it's going
[14:58]to be difficult are you guys willing apparently they accepted apparently apparently
[15:03]they accepted the deal they were going to help him in exchange
[15:09]he will help them so this indicates brothers and sisters going back
[15:14]if you remember what I said yesterday that most of the teachings
[15:17]that the theory that we have most of the teachings and the
[15:20]developments and humans over the centuries and over the world I know
[15:25]that millennia came through prophetic revelations or from divine individuals like this
[15:31]man these people apparently they had some understanding of trade maybe agriculture
[15:36]but they just did not know what to do here that knowledge
[15:40]to build that dam to build a wall a big wall was
[15:46]not there and apparently this man who wants to build a wall
[15:49]between the two countries your country and other country you know he
[15:53]may be needing some help from this guy the Canaan hopefully to
[15:58]help him how to figure it out all right so we need
[16:04]that wall although these guys were you know building it for a
[16:07]real reason a genuine reason that's why the good King was helping
[16:09]them out now look at it okay remember this is we're talking
[16:16]you know at the earliest we said who they'll call main was
[16:19]all these series if you remember we discussed who the Canaan was
[16:22]few years a few weeks ago one of them was that he
[16:26]was maybe Cyrus the Great of the Persian the Persian king Cyrus
[16:31]the Great if that were the case then it means it was
[16:34]550 BC so we're talking about 2500 years ago 2500 years ago
[16:38]at the at the earliest if not earlier so 2500 years ago
[16:42]well let's look at the solution that the cognate presented What did
[16:47]he say a tuna Zuba al-hadid I need ayran ayran not just
[16:56]iron I need iron blocks good lord where do you even find
[16:59]iron where do we find iron blocks I will teach you so
[17:03]he told them you go to this mountain remember Allah taught him
[17:06]a logic ated him so Allah know he knows he said you
[17:10]go to this mountain you dig the mountain you start mining we
[17:13]need to mine for what Iren that's what we need to mine
[17:19]for so they started mining apparently that's another's you know indication that
[17:24]these people did not live a primitive life apparently they had tools
[17:29]they had some tools with which they could mine so or maybe
[17:32]he helped them develop even better tools that's possible as well they
[17:39]come and they start breaking the rocks and mining and they started
[17:43]digging for iron and as we said yesterday maybe that was how
[17:47]human being discovered how he can discover even more of the minerals
[17:54]on the earth he could dig for them he can mind them
[17:56]there are some minerals which are hidden in the ground so maybe
[18:01]that's one of the ways a law alum God knows again so
[18:03]they start digging they start bringing to him the iron and he
[18:09]starts shaping it well how did he start shaping iron what what
[18:11]did they do today to iron in order to make it onto
[18:15]all these blocks and what do they do to it melted exactly
[18:17]apparently that's what he did so he says bring me the iron
[18:23]iron blocks what did he do Hatta ada Sawa they in asada
[18:28]Fane Island for who he brings two pieces of iron blocks puts
[18:32]them together and then he says blow so they were not blowing
[18:36]apparently they developed these blowers you know you know these old blowers
[18:42]so he said now stop blowing so they started blowing now the
[18:46]fire started to ignite the heat started to grow and then Allahu
[18:51]Nara until he made it into fire as he molted that iron
[18:56]started melting that's how we started shaping it so this is what
[18:59]2,500 years ago so imagine we're talking about some pretty good technology
[19:03]here back then and that's where again I go back to my
[19:09]theory suggesting that this technology this understanding the human development yes Allah
[19:13]gave the human the mind the Apple but in addition to the
[19:18]apple the Apple is not enough the mind is not enough for
[19:20]the human to advance by itself you need to have the background
[19:26]there has to be some background that background that spark that illumination
[19:31]comes from allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala another proof for this another suggestion for
[19:37]this from the Quran is what is the first solar that was
[19:39]revealed to the to our prophet you guys you guys know that
[19:45]what is the first surah huh so until Alec what is the
[19:48]beginning of so Alec what does Allah say bismillah menorah Haim what
[19:54]after ladies no better than you guys all us will live you
[20:00]know you embarrass us you guys you you know Allah Allah read
[20:03]in the name of your Lord who created this miracle any shallop
[20:09]created the human from a zygote a local and Sangamon Allah after
[20:14]a book al Akram read and your Lord is the Honorable and
[20:20]then the next two verses are important Alevi ulema LM the one
[20:24]who taught with the pen or the writing instrument the writing instrument
[20:28]you remember last night I said the first person to be seen
[20:33]writing was food you remember prophet at least alayhi s-salam exactly profited
[20:37]Wiis was the first to be seen writing with an instrument apparently
[20:40]was writing and maybe that's how humanity learned how to write Allah
[20:44]says he taught he taught the human how to write a lemma
[20:50]belkalem and then the next verse a lemon in sana my lam
[20:52]ya'lam he taught the human what he did not know what the
[20:57]human did not know so Allah taught the human that teaching which
[21:00]means that after the mind itself is not enough you may have
[21:05]a very smart individual extremely you know very smart but if this
[21:08]person never goes to school never becomes educated it is difficult for
[21:13]such a person who even though he may be smart difficult for
[21:17]such a person for example to build a high-rise he doesn't have
[21:21]the knowledge but if he goes to study engineering for example he
[21:27]learns he learns the keys how to unlock then yes then he
[21:29]has the basis he has a foundation and that's where he can
[21:32]become creative that's why you find some engineers who are extremely intelligent
[21:35]or some architects who can make you a beautiful design they have
[21:41]the background and they have the intellect so they put them together
[21:46]and now they start to produce wonders so going back here back
[21:49]in those days this group of people or this group of people
[21:55]although they were smart apparently at least more advanced than the previous
[21:58]group there were more advanced than those guys however they still had
[22:04]no eye this was something beyond their mind and intellect how to
[22:09]dig for ayran how to get it out how to mine it
[22:15]how to get it you know shaped into blocks blow it up
[22:18]you know blow it for example heat it up melt it so
[22:22]that was something beyond them and that's how he managed to build
[22:24]this dam so he made it all out of ayran so there
[22:30]were two mountains apparently and there was a space between these two
[22:33]mountains what they'll pagina in did as he filled this space with
[22:42]a wall a metal wall now what happens to iron if you
[22:46]leave it out there in the exposed to air for some time
[22:52]it's rusted exactly so if the colony just leaves it as is
[22:58]what's going to happen to this wall sooner or later is going
[23:00]to get rusted and once it gets rusted is going to become
[23:05]weaker and guess what this group will come and they will punch
[23:06]it or make hole in it and the whole thing will collapse
[23:08]correct what did he tell them I'm going to make do you
[23:14]remember what did he say I'm gonna make you what a well
[23:18]made so would this be considered well made this is a job
[23:22]well done no so he would not be satisfied with this and
[23:25]this is another beautiful lesson when you make something you make it
[23:28]well that's why there is a hadith that says Rahim Elohim were
[23:32]in a Mila a melon at Cana may Allah have mercy on
[23:34]one who makes a good action makes some job but does it
[23:39]well you don't hire a contractor and he just takes your money
[23:42]and he makes short cuts a week to after he leaves the
[23:49]roof collapses what happened oh no yeah whatever call your insurance company
[23:53]and he runs away you know make it well do it well
[23:56]okay that's important so what did he do then well what did
[24:03]the Canaan do well let's read haataja Sawa by now sada FA
[24:07]now when he puts the two blocks together like he puts blocks
[24:12]together they melt them together then what happened after melting them shaping
[24:16]it what did he do hot either Jahanara when he makes it
[24:21]fire you know line now that he's heated it up what did
[24:26]he do then Allah to knee off with Ali hit a paw
[24:28]bring me copper copper so that's something interesting so not only did
[24:36]they mine ayran they also mind what copper well that's quite interesting
[24:44]so he took copper and he put it over the whole thing
[24:50]so now you have something which is well protected well made the
[24:55]iron is not exposed anymore the iron is all filled up with
[25:01]the copper so even if there were any holes in the process
[25:06]of building the iron if there were any small defects here and
[25:09]there that whole copper now has just malted you know melted on
[25:14]top of it and it's just now filled it all up well
[25:19]and that protects the iron from rusting genius isn't it you know
[25:25]2500 years ago at least at least quite amazing did it work
[25:29]well Quran tells us apparently jujin ma'juj this community this group comes
[25:35]they come to attack and interestingly here he did not just build
[25:39]it and say my Salama by by Qaddafi's i'll see you later
[25:44]guys no he actually waited he wanted to test it he wanted
[25:49]to see did it work so even though he has his army
[25:51]as backup remember the guy was a king and he had an
[25:55]army with him so he had his army as backup he wanted
[25:58]to see did this stand the test so he waits he waits
[26:01]until the attackers come they come now can they conquer it Allah
[26:11]says Thomas Paro yahoooo mustafa ala Hunico be' they were shocked jujin
[26:17]met jewish that community the corrupters the oppressors the troublemakers they had
[26:25]never seen something like this before huge wall they could not climb
[26:29]over it to us - hi + it did not have anything
[26:35]for you to grab on to climb so they couldn't go over
[26:40]it no were they able to break it they tried with their
[26:44]you know whatever tools they had they try to break the wall
[26:47]nothing it's a solid wall maybe your president might be listening to
[26:55]figure out how to build a solid wall you know that could
[27:01]not be you know top on table with people and breaking it
[27:07]so it worked from a star oh so he waited and it
[27:10]succeeded perfect these guys cannot come can i they cannot climb over
[27:19]it nor can they break it well done from a star or
[27:21]a Yahoo they were not able to climb over it one estaba
[27:25]Ola wound up about they were not able to break it so
[27:31]he built a very well structure okay then after looking at all
[27:36]this now it's important here is an important lesson sometimes when we
[27:42]look at some of our accomplishments you know sometimes we might forget
[27:47]to thank Allah subhana WA Ta'ala I don't know if you ever
[27:52]heard people I have I have heard people who say you know
[27:54]I I own I made myself by myself nobody ever helped me
[28:01]I did everything by myself on my own to such people I
[28:04]think I say you know I would want to say usually really
[28:07]all by yourself you think Allah did not help you in any
[28:13]way shape or form Allah did not assist you when people say
[28:16]that they're really not recognizing the greatness of Allah they're not being
[28:21]grateful to allah subhanahu wata'ala so sometimes people become arrogant here to
[28:29]show how good of a believer Delp ugh nein was how a
[28:35]good man he was after seeing his accomplishment he just made this
[28:39]whole wall successfully they were not able to go over it then
[28:46]he says ha ha da rahmatan min Robbie this is from Allah's
[28:49]mercy this is from a las merci in other words I would
[28:55]not have been able to do this on my own on my
[28:58]own I couldn't have done this Allah subhana WA Ta'ala who gave
[29:01]me the knowledge he gave me the tools the ability to make
[29:04]something like this and you see how strong this wall is how
[29:12]solid it is well guess what when the day of judgement comes
[29:15]this world would just shatter whenever Allah who wants this world to
[29:20]shatter it will shatter now it's strong but at some point this
[29:28]wall could just disappear altogether colorada Rama Tamara be FEA Durga I
[29:35]adore BJ Allah who the car when Allah when my Lord's promise
[29:39]comes is fulfilled whatever the promise is here different connotation but nonetheless
[29:49]different interpretation Allah will destroy it what car door B ha ha
[29:54]and the promise of my lord is the truth is this promise
[29:57]referring to whenever Allah subhana WA Ta'ala has dictated this wall to
[30:04]stay up for example for example Allah may have dictated this wall
[30:08]will remain for a thousand years for example after a thousand years
[30:11]this wall is going to come down if that's what Allah subhana
[30:13]WA Ta'ala has dictated that's what's going to happen so this world
[30:19]will remain until Allah subhana WA Ta'ala decided you know whatever length
[30:23]of time Allah has dictated for this wall to remain oh it
[30:26]could mean until the day of judgement that's another possibility what do
[30:30]I be you know the promise of a lot could be the
[30:33]day of judgement that's what or it could be until the time
[30:35]of the reappearance of the Imam agile allahu ta'ala for jihad shelleyf
[30:38]the time of his reappearance that could be the time when is
[30:44]the promise of Allah subhana WA Ta'ala because Allah says in a
[30:46]different eye in the Quran o Allah Allah Dina Amin Amin come
[30:51]Allah has promised those who have believed in so at the noon
[30:54]verse number 55 that's a good verse brothers and sisters true remember
[30:57]the other day I asked you to remember I had to cut
[31:01]here the the ayah of purification and the Maoridom law that was
[31:05]so at number 33 verse 33 this one remembers so at 24
[31:09]so at a noon easy to remember so to know the light
[31:13]so at an old verse five five you know five five easy
[31:16]fifty-five that's Allah that is important it's one of the verses in
[31:20]the Quran where all Muslims Shia Anson agree that it is about
[31:27]Imam al-mahdi ailment of agile Allah Ta'ala for John Sharif that were
[31:30]Allah subhana WA Ta'ala is promising the believers that there will be
[31:34]a time when their religion will prevail and even Sunni commentators one
[31:38]of them is even Oh Cathy yep no Cathy was one of
[31:42]the big so many commentators says this ayah is referring to al-mehdi
[31:45]al-mehdi hero issue is the word al Mahadi the one whom the
[31:52]Prophet has mentioned about him that he will come at the end
[31:54]of time to fold this earth with justice the way it will
[31:59]be filled with what corruption tyranny and oppression so that ayah is
[32:03]agreed upon by both she and Sunni commentators so it's one of
[32:07]the proofs someone asks you where is the proof that there is
[32:10]an imam mehdi ali as salam he will come back at the
[32:14]end of time you tell them well here's one one of the
[32:15]proofs were many but at least this is one of them that
[32:19]you can show to them from the quran okay so allah has
[32:21]promised the believers so this could be the promise so the promise
[32:27]could be one interpretation whatever time allah has dictated for that wall
[32:32]to survive the promise could be the day of judgment the promise
[32:38]could be the return of the imam until allah - allah for
[32:40]jihad surely Allah knows best all right so knowing all this now
[32:48]the question comes where is this damn where is it belt built
[32:52]where did it go again there are many theories out there many
[32:55]theories some the commentators say this could be the Great Wall of
[33:00]China but do you think the description here fits the description of
[33:03]the Great Wall of China what is the Great Wall of China
[33:09]made of stones exactly is it made of Iren and copper no
[33:13]so apparently that does not really match the description others said it
[33:18]could be the dam the dam that was built to stop the
[33:24]flood of water in Yemen in Yemen it's called the dam of
[33:27]Magadh Marin but again that dam the purpose of that dam is
[33:34]to stop what water that there is the purpose of this dam
[33:36]to stop water No so apparently that purpose is not the same
[33:41]purpose so it may not be that Dam okay well where is
[33:49]it some commentators suggest maybe maybe upon some research in today's map
[33:58]on today's map there is a country called Georgia there's a country
[34:03]called Georgia today and Russia between Georgia and Russia right at the
[34:08]borders between Georgia and Russia there is a small Gorge you know
[34:11]a small opening between two mountains there are two mountains and there's
[34:16]a small opening it's called the gorge of Dario Dario some commentators
[34:21]suggest could be that one that could be it that's where he
[34:29]built that dam why they say there is a river nearby close
[34:33]by that area that's called the Cyrus River Cyrus if the theory
[34:41]is true that the COG 9's Cyrus the Great they said maybe
[34:44]after he built them this dam they named that River after him
[34:47]possibly you know again like I said there's all theories the Quran
[34:54]however did not stress did not mention where this dam is where's
[34:57]it located but rather it's what's important is the lessons we learn
[35:01]from it the lessons we learn from this process so you see
[35:06]here with the journeys of the cognate my brothers and sisters the
[35:11]first journey he went over to the west he saw that there
[35:14]were some tyrants apparently they were the ones who are in power
[35:20]and you had the oppressed the oppressed were the believers the tyrants
[35:23]were the non-believers he came there he established justice he punished oppressors
[35:29]and he made the week become strong not only that he spoke
[35:37]to the weak he educated them he taught them and things worked
[35:40]out well until he basically fixed the problem there he moved from
[35:45]the West all the way to the East he arrived at a
[35:49]group of people who lived a very primitive lifestyle they did not
[35:53]even have homes maybe not even close again he taught them he
[35:59]helped them to build shelters close once they became independent he then
[36:04]fixed their problem and moved on the Quran says he moved on
[36:08]to a third place where apparently he came across people who were
[36:12]not so primitive in their lifestyle although they may have had a
[36:18]unique language that was not very common or maybe their language of
[36:21]the agnya was a bit too sophisticated for them either way although
[36:26]they had some sense of understanding of trade because I said we
[36:30]will pay you we can pay you but they still were unable
[36:34]to deal with a major problem that they had and that was
[36:39]the problem of security they had a problem of security which is
[36:42]a major problem so again the main helped them overcome that problem
[36:46]build them this dam and managed to protect them protect that nation
[36:55]all right who are you Jane met George that's another question because
[37:01]this term jujin jooge also comes up in suet and never L
[37:06]so L AM BIA short LM beer comes twice here we hear
[37:13]about you Jane ma'juj people who are causing corruption and in surah
[37:20]al-anbiya towards the end of time one of the signs of the
[37:25]end of time as there will be also ya Jews and non-jews
[37:31]this kind of group who will also be causing problems so are
[37:34]they a particular nation are they a particular ooop is it just
[37:41]a metaphor for people who cause corruption possible all these are possibilities
[37:47]one possibility one theory people say this group of Eugen George apparently
[37:52]may have come from today what we call the country of Mongolia
[38:01]they came from that region which they say the original region of
[38:05]the Chinese that's what they came from the origins so maybe they
[38:09]belong to that region and there was a tribe who was living
[38:15]in that region who lived the life of invaders any country any
[38:19]area that has wealth they would invade them they would take all
[38:22]their wealth and they would go back that's possible maybe this is
[38:28]what this you know back in those days this is what they
[38:30]belonged to and they were called ya yuge and met Jews a
[38:34]tribe of George and met George Koch and magog you know they
[38:41]have some references also in other scriptures in other works that's possibly
[38:48]that's a possible you know interpretation so does that mean at the
[38:51]end of time there will be troublemakers will be coming from that
[38:54]region as well god knows or it may suggest that know there
[39:00]will be some troublemakers but they're given this term just like these
[39:04]guys who were troublemakers who would come invade your land take all
[39:08]your wealth and run away with it and leave you with nothing
[39:13]there are some other people other imperial powers invaders or maybe not
[39:18]even invaders people who will come to other countries sign a contract
[39:22]deal for 450 billion dollars and sell some fighter jets and fill
[39:26]some you know sell some weapons that's also you know another possibility
[39:29]God knows where people will start causing corruption causing problems so that
[39:35]maybe also as one of the signs of the hereafter so yeah
[39:42]jujin huge could be a group coming from a specific region the
[39:47]northern Chinese region if we may call it that or it could
[39:52]be a reference to a group of people who cause corruption they
[39:56]come they raid they steal your wealth they create a lack of
[40:00]security and they don't keep you in a safe shape vironment so
[40:06]then he helped protect those people from all these problems and all
[40:15]these difficulties so inshallah this now helps us understand hopefully the journey
[40:22]of the canaan we understand now the lane we have some understanding
[40:26]about who he was if you remember we mentioned that in the
[40:28]early days he may have been a lender the great that's one
[40:34]theory but most probably he wasn't because the description of Alexander was
[40:38]does not fit the description of the Cullinane Alexander was not a
[40:45]god-fearing individual like vel Carlene was some people say well he may
[40:50]have been one of the kings of Yemen possibly but the description
[40:54]of the kings of Yemen and the dam that is built in
[40:58]Yemen does not fit the description of the dam here either so
[41:00]that's probably not the case some people suggest that he may have
[41:04]been Cyrus the Great that's a possibility Oh another theory suggests that
[41:10]none of the above it's some other king who may be history
[41:12]did not write about who lived at the time of prophet ibrahim
[41:16]alayhis salaam so we're talking about it early on you know possibly
[41:20]why is he called the cog nine do you remember we gave
[41:22]three reasons there are many reasons of course there are other theories
[41:27]about who the Canaan was by the way we just you know
[41:29]we just mentioned this for for the sake of time do you
[41:32]remember we mentioned three theories why is he called the Ignite do
[41:36]you remember what they were was the first one his horns he
[41:38]may have worn a helmet with two horns possibly another reason is
[41:48]because why he yes he was the one who was hit twice
[41:52]according to the hadith women are ER es Salaam apparently he was
[41:56]a virtuous man a good man he preached to his people his
[41:58]community about Allah they beat him on his head it created a
[42:02]bump once he was kind of recovered he came back and sorry
[42:05]so I did not stop he's insisting to teach people about the
[42:10]truth they beat him again on his head create another bump on
[42:12]his head so he had these couple bumps on his head and
[42:16]hence people started calling him the man with the two horns imam
[42:19]ali saddam suggests this and he says i'm like him you know
[42:24]he was hit once on his head in the battle of al
[42:25]Kondik and the second time by Abdul Rahman animaljam when he was
[42:32]praying so that's another reason a third reason we said maybe because
[42:36]of what I said he ruled over the Horn of the East
[42:41]and the Horn of the West so basically he ruled over the
[42:43]world apparently he got the world under his control these were some
[42:46]of their theories although Iran does not really mention any of the
[42:52]above doesn't doesn't really pay much attention which is it's good to
[42:56]know but this is not really the whole idea this man what's
[42:59]important about him is he was a good man he believed in
[43:03]allah subhanaw taala despite all the powers Allah gave him even though
[43:08]him is what we call today was a superpower he is a
[43:13]superpower I mean the man had a big army he knew ways
[43:14]of getting things done yet he was still very humble very kind
[43:22]always grateful to Allah and that's an important thing for us no
[43:26]matter how much Allah gives you even if you become the best
[43:31]professor in the world you won the Nobel Prize even if you
[43:34]become the wealthiest man in the world or woman even if you
[43:37]you know whatever you make it all the way to the top
[43:39]always remain humble please be humble be grateful to Allah prophet Sulayman
[43:46]alehissalaam the king when he ordered the throne of the queen of
[43:50]yemen to come before him and it was brought in front of
[43:56]him within seconds from yemen to jerusalem he said this is from
[43:59]the grace of my lord hadam and fought Lenape to test me
[44:04]whether I am grateful or ungrateful whomever is grateful he adds is
[44:11]for himself and whoever is ungrateful Allah has needless of people's prayers
[44:18]or help or whatever so that's something important brothers and sisters that's
[44:24]a very important lesson remember a few nights ago I said let
[44:28]us appreciate the beautiful things we have in this world hamdulillah we
[44:32]all have a house we have a roof to cover us when
[44:37]it gets cold that night we can turn on the heater when
[44:39]it gets hot we can turn on the AC or we have
[44:45]fans we have electricity many of us have mobile phones many of
[44:51]us have the luxury of having a tab that you can open
[44:53]and fresh water comes to you many of us have that luxury
[45:01]the blessing of Allah of having parents dinner 8:00 is coming right
[45:04]now and there are millions of children's over the world who don't
[45:08]have a parent a parent who will take them out maybe to
[45:12]have fun on the day of Eid to come and tell them
[45:14]8:00 Mubarak to bring them new clothes to take them out to
[45:19]enjoy the day of a to prepare them you know let's go
[45:21]shopping for Eid do your parents do that for you prepare you
[45:26]for some of that stuff prepare you for the day of Eid
[45:28]that in itself is a blessing a great blessing so go kiss
[45:33]the hands of your parents and say alhamdulillah alhamdulillah that Allah has
[45:37]blessed me with parents there are many people who have no parents
[45:40]unfortunately who've lost their parents and now rate is coming in a
[45:45]couple of days approximately and they have nobody they see other children
[45:48]having fun on the day of Eid their parents are buying them
[45:50]taking them going around with them they have their mothers with them
[45:55]they have their fathers with them but these guys just don't have
[45:59]anybody unfortunately so that's a big name a big blessing we always
[46:01]need to say thank you your Allah alhamdulillah alhamdulillah not just saying
[46:07]alhamdulillah but also to demonstrate it in action demonstrate is in action
[46:13]by going and respecting our parents for example helping those who are
[46:18]in need by showing our humbleness that's a way of gratitude just
[46:23]like the plug 9 despite his accomplishments and his powers he says
[46:28]Haram atonement Robbie this is out of the mercy of Allah son
[46:31]of the mercy Allah I did not do anything on my own
[46:36]I had no powers in addition let us show our gratitude to
[46:40]Allah praying salat on time watching our manners doing things that Allah
[46:47]like brothers and sisters were almost at the end of the holy
[46:51]month of Ramadan you know we just have maybe a couple more
[46:53]days or so please a humble request don't make this holy month
[47:02]of Ramadan and and the day of Eid comes and you guys
[47:04]going back to doing the same thing you were doing before some
[47:09]people on the day of Eid I don't know if you've seen
[47:10]it you know sometimes you go to some of these stores and
[47:14]they have a big poster Eid party I eat concert I eat
[47:17]whatever carnival you know musics are being played you find them sometimes
[47:22]here and there and I think you know sometimes when I read
[47:27]some of these posters say subhanAllah you know is this the way
[47:30]you thank allah subhana wa ta'ala 30 days he blessed you he
[47:35]had mercy on you and on the day of eid you go
[47:36]and disobey him you go back to the same person you were
[47:41]before that's not the way that's not what is the essence of
[47:44]the holy month of ramadan we need to be humble we need
[47:48]to really change ourselves so we still have two more days approximately
[47:51]one or two more days pray to allah for a change and
[47:58]put in the effort to execute that change so these are some
[48:01]of the beautiful lessons we learn from the story of the canaan
[48:06]the man who went to a trip on the east at the
[48:07]west then the east and then somewhere in the middle maybe on
[48:12]the borders of Russia again according to some commentators although the cognate
[48:16]experience many other things on his journey in the hadith of Ahlul
[48:21]Bayt alehissalaam they tell us many other things that happen but the
[48:26]quran concentrates on these three journeys the one on the west the
[48:28]one to the east and the one in the middle somewhere as
[48:31]he was going from west to east and back in the middle
[48:35]he saw a lot of interesting things and he learned a lot
[48:37]of interesting things and that's something also important for us as we
[48:45]go along let us learn let us learn there are a few
[48:47]more lessons and show a lot that we will touch upon and
[48:50]show Allah tomorrow night if Allah gives us Sophia to do so
[48:55]I thank you all for attending there is a bonfire insha'Allah afterwards
[48:59]so please join us for the bonfire but before I let you
[49:02]go at the beginning I ask some of you well now I'm
[49:07]going to ask all of you on the day of on Sunday
[49:12]on Sunday some of you might be celebrating Eid those of you
[49:15]who might do that lead of certain Maharaja they may declare aid
[49:21]on Sunday other Mahajan may declare aid on Monday so the question
[49:27]to you is do you want to have a lecture Sunday night
[49:33]don't just tell me yes and I come here and like there's
[49:36]only me myself and I you know if you guys want to
[49:42]have a break you know that the eve of Eid for some
[49:45]of you tomorrow is going to be the day of Eid we
[49:46]just want to relax who cares about a saman apply we've been
[49:49]listening to this guy for the past couple weeks now you know
[49:52]just let's take a break I won't be offended honestly you know
[49:55]you guys can you know just relax however if you feel like
[50:00]you know it's a day of Eid or the eve of raid
[50:02]and I've got nothing better in my life to do but to
[50:05]listen to a saman above you know like whatever you know let's
[50:07]just come and listen to this guy for the fine line so
[50:10]if that is the case you know you want to be entertained
[50:13]you want to laugh a little bit you know whatever if that's
[50:16]what you really want a McCoy then I hope to expect some
[50:20]of you here and then we can extend it one more night
[50:21]to have the last lecture on Sunday night so what do you
[50:26]guys decide tomorrow do we end it tomorrow or do we end
[50:29]our series on Sunday night are you guys sure you know Jamie
[50:36]I want you to write a headcount right now of people please
[50:38]you know everybody you write their name down you take their phone
[50:44]number credit card number please and their home address and a signature
[50:48]anyone who does not show so you know show up we can
[50:52]build that four hundred bucks each what do you think no just
[50:54]I think I like that idea yeah please okay yeah I think
[50:58]I think we'll do that what start with him start with him
[51:01]he's the first guy yeah and he has to to two children
[51:04]too so there and his wife that's four people four hundred bucks
[51:07]right there hundred another blonde me so I think we're here and
[51:10]I'm gonna be good business on Sunday night yeah yeah Charla that's
[51:13]over eight present so uh if that is the case then we'll
[51:19]have our final lecture on Sunday night please so is that right
[51:23]or show of hands you know how many of you one have
[51:30]a lecture on Sunday night no no wait wait wait hum what's
[51:33]going to be same time eleven o'clock eleven o'clock at night you
[51:37]know we'll be having like you know the late night show yeah
[51:40]how many of you do not want to have do not don't
[51:45]put his hand down it's a democracy for God's sake we're not
[51:49]like your no never mind you know that guy we're not like
[51:53]that guy you know I want I want to be sending a
[51:54]tweet about you guys tonight you know Co VC you know so
[51:59]well I guess the majority rules so okay inshallah that means that
[52:06]our last lecture will be on Sunday night I expect each and
[52:09]every one of you to show up on Sunday at 11 p.m.
[52:13]even if I'm not here at 11:00 you have to be here
[52:18]at 11 otherwise you're delayed by one minute and there's that credit
[52:21]card charge you know please make sure what are the bodyguards I
[52:23]saw the security guys make sure that it no one leaves you
[52:26]know before everyone you take their credit cards alright so inshallah well
[52:30]well do that on Sunday night so this means we have two
[52:32]more nights to spend which actually is even better it's good because
[52:36]that allows me to discuss a couple more things there are a
[52:39]couple more very important theories out here that we can discuss one
[52:42]is the concept of security and that inshallah we'll touch upon tomorrow
[52:47]those of you who are familiar with Maslow's pyramid of psychology how
[52:52]do people actually succeed that we what that we will discuss tomorrow
[52:55]insha'Allah and on the final night we'll discuss about unity working together
[53:00]cooperation and that's another thing that we need to discuss from the
[53:05]stories of the Agni inshallah raise your hands for our brothers and
[53:08]sisters these are the final nights of the soul the month of
[53:10]ramadhan these are really the nights of Stefan the night's asking allah
[53:17]for forgiveness it is said and the hadith my brothers and sisters
[53:20]that every night on the start of the holy month of ramadan
[53:26]every night allah subhana wa ta'ala forgives thousands of people every night
[53:32]until the very last night which maybe could be tomorrow night or
[53:36]Sunday night the last night Allah subhana WA Ta'ala we'll look at
[53:39]whomever is among the believers like us insha Allah who may have
[53:44]committed some crimes some sins you know crimes I mean against the
[53:46]boundaries of Allah gets laws of Allah if we've committed some sins
[53:51]on that last night Allah subhana Allah Allah will forgive all of
[53:55]us we really want that forgiveness we want that blessing of Allah
[53:59]we want that mercy of Allah but at the same time brothers
[54:03]and sisters as I mentioned earlier please tonight tomorrow in the daytime
[54:06]at night and even Sunday for those of you who will be
[54:08]fasting also on Sunday because it's Ramadan still then pray to Allah
[54:15]to forgive your sins to change you to become a better person
[54:18]if you have a shortfall whatever it is you might know better
[54:22]than I do if you have an addiction to listening to her
[54:27]on the music well say Ya Allah help me I want to
[54:28]quit I don't want to listen to her music anymore if you
[54:31]have a problem of using some language which is inappropriate say your
[54:36]Allah helped me to overcome that problem I don't want to use
[54:38]an appropriate language if you have a problem looking at things which
[54:43]are haram this is the time when you say your Allah helped
[54:45]me overcome my problem if you have a problem with stin genus
[54:49]or anger some people have temper management problems pray to Allah say
[54:56]Allah help me if you have a problem respecting people say your
[54:58]Allah help me become a better person improve my manners so all
[55:03]these things we can pray for there's still time if we put
[55:05]in the effort just like these people of the lobby nine if
[55:09]they were willing to change he was willing to help them so
[55:12]we have to put in the determination to change let's raise our
[55:15]hands and draw may Allah accept our dua and help us change
