[0:00]married couples can charge each other interest it is well known that

[0:06]the religion of Islam prohibits taking interest riba generally and of course

[0:10]this is referred to in the Holy Quran and it's a sin

[0:15]however According to some XI jurists like exceptions do exist among the

[0:22]exceptions of taking interest is between a wife and a husband and

[0:25]between a father and his sons or daughters this means that in

[0:29]between these people interest can be charged for example the husband tells

[0:34]his wife give me five hundred dollars as a loan and she

[0:38]says yes but you must give it back as six hundred dollars

[0:42]this is fine and Halal according to Ayatollah some other jurists like

[0:48]disagree and have said all forms of Interest are Haram including what

[0:56]was just mentioned
