[0:01][Music] Lantern of the path a collection of Hadith by IM ja
[0:11]part two section 10 thankfulness With Every Breath You Take a Thanksgiving
[0:19]is incumbent upon you indeed a thousand thanks or more the lowest
[0:23]level of gratitude is to see that the blessing comes from Allah
[0:27]irrespective of the cause for it and without the heart being attached
[0:30]to that cause it consists of being satisfied with what is given
[0:36]it means not disobeying him with regard to his Blessing or opposing
[0:39]him in any of his commands and prohibitions because of his Blessing
[0:43]be a grateful bondsman to Allah in every way and you will
[0:48]find that Allah is a generous Lord in every way if there
[0:51]were a way of worshiping Allah for his sincerest bondsmen to follow
[0:55]more excellent than giving thanks at every instance he would have ascribed
[0:59]to them the name of this worship Above the Rest of creation
[1:03]since there is no form of worship better than that he has
[1:06]singled out this kind of worship from other kinds of worship and
[1:11]has singled out those who practice this kind of worship saying very
[1:14]few of my servants are grateful in chapter 34:13 complete thankfulness is
[1:21]to sincerely repent your inability to convey the least amount of gratitude
[1:25]and expressing this by means of your sincere glorification of Allah this
[1:29]is because fitting thanks is itself a blessing bestowed upon the bondsman
[1:34]for which he must also give thanks it is of Greater Merit
[1:36]and of a higher state than the original blessing which caused him
[1:41]to respond with thanks in the first place therefore every time one
[1:44]gives thanks one is obliged to give yet greater things and so
[1:48]on at infinum and this while absorbed in His blessings and unable
[1:52]to achieve the ultimate state of gratitude for how can the bondsman
[1:57]match with gratitude the blessings of Allah and when will he match
[2:01]his own own action with Allah's while all along the bondsman is
[2:04]weak and has no power whatsoever except from Allah Allah is not
[2:08]in need of The Obedience of his bondsman for he has the
[2:13]power to increase blessings forever therefore be a grateful bondsman to Allah
[2:18]and in this manner you will see wonders section 11 on leaving
[2:21]your home when you leave your home do it as if you
[2:25]will never return leave only for the sake of obedience to Allah
[2:27]or for the sake of the faith remain tranquil and dignified in
[2:33]your bearing and remember Allah both secretly and openly one of the
[2:37]companions of Abu asked a member of Abu thar's household where he
[2:41]was and she said he has gone out when the man asked
[2:45]when Abu darar would return she replied when he returns is in
[2:48]the hands of someone else for he has no power on his
[2:52]own learn from Allah's creation both the pias and the deviants wherever
[2:55]you go ask Allah to place you among his sincere and truthful
[2:59]bondsmen and to join you to those of them who have passed
[3:04]on and to gather you in their company praise him and give
[3:06]thanks for the appetites he has made you avoid and the Ugly
[3:10]actions of the wrongdoers from which he has protected you lower your
[3:14]gaze from carnal appetites and forbidden things and pursue the right course
[3:20]on your journey be vigilant fearing Allah at every step as if
[3:23]you were crossing the straight path do not be distracted offer a
[3:26]greeting to his people both giving it first and answer ING with
[3:31]it give help to those who ask for it in a righteous
[3:33]cause guide those who are lost and ignore the ignorant when you
[3:39]return to your home enter it as a corpse enters the grave
[3:42]its only concern being to receive the mercy and forgiveness of Allah
[3:45]section 12 on reciting the Quran whoever recites the Quran and does
[3:52]not humble himself before Allah whose heart is not soften nor regret
[3:56]and fear provoked within him undervalues the immensity of Allah's affairs and
[4:00]is in a clear state of loss the person who recites the
[4:03]Quran needs three things a fearful heart a tranquil and receptive body
[4:08]and an appropriate place to recite when his heart fears Allah then
[4:14]the accursed Satan flees from him as Allah said when you recite
[4:17]the Quran seek Refuge with Allah from the ours shitan in chapter
[4:21]16: 98 when he frees himself of all attachments then his heart
[4:26]is devoted to recitation and nothing impedes him from obtaining the blessing
[4:29]of the light of the Quran and its benefits when he finds
[4:33]an empty place and withdraws from people having acquired the two qualities
[4:38]of humility of heart and Tranquility of body then his soul and
[4:42]his innermost being will feel communion with Allah and he will discover
[4:45]the sweetness of how Allah speaks to his right acting bondsmen how
[4:49]he shows his gentleness to them and singles them out for all
[4:55]the varieties of his marks of honor and wondrous signs if he
[4:57]drinks a cup of this drink he will never prefer any other
[5:01]state to this nor any other moment to this he will prefer
[5:04]this to Every Act of obedience and devotion since it contains intimate
[5:08]conversation with the Lord without any intermediary so be aware of how
[5:14]you read the book of your lord The Guardian to whom you
[5:16]Aspire how you respond to his commands and avoid his prohibitions and
[5:20]how you observe his limits for it is a mighty book falsehood
[5:24]shall not come to it from before it nor from behind it
[5:29]a revelation from the wise the praised one in chapter 41:42 therefore
[5:33]recite it in an orderly manner and contemplatively and adhere to the
[5:38]limits of his promise and his threat reflect on its examples and
[5:44]warnings be aware of paying undue respect to the recitation of its
[5:47]letters while failing to observe the legal limits contained therein section 13
[5:52]dress the best adornment of the believer's Garment is precaution and the
[5:57]Most Blessed garment is belief as Allah said and clothing that guards
[6:01]against evil that is best in chapter 7: 26 outward dress is
[6:07]a blessing from Allah in order to preserve the modesty of the
[6:10]sons of Adam alisam it is a mark of Honor which Allah
[6:15]has given to the descendants of Adam al.
[6:15]Salam he did not give that honor to any other creature it
[6:19]is given to the Believers as a means of carrying out their
[6:22]obligations your best garments are those which do not distract you from
[6:26]Allah those garments in fact which bring you closer to remembrance of
[6:32]him and gratitude and obedience to him they do not however move
[6:37]you to Pride conceit pretense boastfulness or arrogance those things are the
[6:42]scourge of the faith and their legacy is Hardness of Heart when
[6:45]you put on your clothes remember that Allah veils your wrong actions
[6:51]with his Mercy you should clothe your inward part as you clothe
[6:54]your outward part with your garment let your inward truth be veiled
[6:57]in awe of Allah and let your outward truth truth be veiled
[7:02]in obedience take heed of the overflowing favor of Allah since he
[7:06]created the means to make garments for covering physical immodesty and open
[7:11]the gates for repentance regret and seeking sucker in order to Veil
[7:15]The inward parts and their wrong actions and bad character do not
[7:19]expose anyone's faults when Allah has concealed worse things in yourself occupy
[7:24]yourself with your own faults and Overlook matters and situations which do
[7:28]not concern you beware lest you exhaust your life in other people's
[7:34]actions and exchange your Irreplaceable endowed wealth with someone else thereby destroying
[7:39]yourself forgetting wrong actions brings about the greatest punishments of Allah in
[7:44]this world and is the most ample cause for punishment in the
[7:47]next so long as the bondsman occupies himself with obeying Allah with
[7:51]recognizing his own faults and leaving alone whatever might devalue faith in
[7:56]Allah he is spared ruin and is immersed in in the sea
[8:01]of Allah's Mercy attaining the gems and the benefits of wisdom and
[8:03]Clarity but as long as he forgets his own wrong actions is
[8:08]ignorant of his own faults and falls back on his power and
[8:10]strength he will never be successful section 14 showing off do not
[8:16]show off your actions to someone who neither gives life nor causes
[8:20]death and who cannot take away from you your burdens showing off
[8:24]is a tree whose only fruit is hidden Association of other gods
[8:29]with Allah and its root is hpoc ocy the Vain One will
[8:31]be told on the day of judgment take what you consider to
[8:35]be the reward of your actions from those you took as your
[8:37]partners with me look to Those whom you worshiped and called on
[8:42]from whom you entertained hopes and whom you feared and know that
[8:46]you cannot conceal anything inside of you from Allah you will be
[8:49]deceived by yourself Allah said they desire to deceive Allah and those
[8:53]who believe and they deceive only themselves and they do not perceive
[9:00]in chapter 2:9 showing off most frequently occurs in the way people
[9:05]glance at others speak eat drink arrive somewhere sit with others dress
[9:09]laugh and in the way they perform prayers pilgrimage Jihad recitation of
[9:15]the Quran and all outward acts of devotion however he who is
[9:19]Sincere towards Allah who fears him in his heart and who sees
[9:24]himself as lacking even after he has exerted himself with every effort
[9:28]will find that Allah is contented with him as a result and
[9:31]he will be among those whom one expects to be free from
[9:35]showing off and hypocrisy provided he continues to be in that state
[9:39]section 15 truthfulness truthfulness is a light which radiates its reality in
[9:44]its own world it is like the sun from whose reality everything
[9:48]seeks light without any decrees occurring in this reality a truthful person
[9:53]in fact is a man who believes every liar due to the
[9:57]reality of his own truthfulness it means means that nothing which is
[10:01]opposed to truthfulness nothing even which is not truthfulness is permitted to
[10:06]coexist with it just as happened with adam.
[10:09]who believed when he lied because El had sworn a false oath
[10:12]to him and there was no lying in Adam Allah said we
[10:18]did not find in him any determination in chap 20: 115 because
[10:23]originated something previously unknown both outwardly and inwardly elbl will be gathered
[10:30]with his lie and he will never benefit from the truthfulness of
[10:33]Adam alisam yet it benefited Adam alisam that he believed the LIE
[10:38]of el as Allah testified for him when he said that he
[10:41]was not constant in what was contrary to his custom this really
[10:47]means that his being chosen was not at all diminished by Satan's
[10:50]lies truthfulness is the attribute of the truthful the reality of truthfulness
[10:55]Demands that Allah purify his bondsmen as he mentioned regarding the truthfulness
[11:01]of isaam on the Day of Reckoning he indicated it by referring
[11:04]to the guiltlessness of the truthful men of the community of Muhammad
[11:08]sah alai saying this is the day when their truth shall benefit
[11:12]the truthful ones in chapter 5: 1119 the commander of the faithful
[11:16]alisam said truthfulness is the sword of Allah in his Heaven and
[11:22]Earth it cuts everything in touches if you want to know whether
[11:25]you are truthful or lying then look into the truthfulness of what
[11:28]you mean and the conclusion of your claim then gauge them both
[11:33]according to a scale from Allah as if you were present on
[11:36]the day of Resurrection Allah said and measuring out on the day
[11:42]will be just in chapter 7:8 if there is balance and Harmony
[11:45]in what you mean then your claim is successful and your truthfulness
[11:48]is in the fact that the tongue does not differ from the
[11:54]heart nor the heart from the tongue the truthful person with this
[11:57]description is like the angel who draws out his soul Soul if
[12:00]the soul is not drawn out then what is it to do
[12:05]section 16 sincerity sincerity lies in all distinguished actions it is a
[12:09]notion that starts with acceptance and ends with Allah's pleasure therefore he
[12:14]whose actions Allah accepts and with whom he is content is the
[12:18]sincere one even if his actions are few whoever does not have
[12:21]his actions accepted is not sincere even if his actions are many
[12:27]as we can see when we consider what happened with adam.
[12:29]and and may he be cursed the sign of acceptance is the
[12:36]existence of integrity and correctness by expending all that is desirable with
[12:41]accurate awareness of every movement and Stillness in upholding what he has
[12:47]the self of the sincere one is consumed and his life is
[12:50]spent so as to put what he is in order unifying knowledge
[12:55]and action the doer and what is done by the action for
[12:57]if he has attained that he has attained all and if he
[13:02]misses it he misses all and that is brought about by purifying
[13:05]the meanings of disassociation in his Unity as the first Imam said
[13:10]those who will act will perish except for those who worship those
[13:16]who worship will perish except for those who know those who know
[13:19]will perish except for those who are truthful those who are truthful
[13:22]will perish except for those that are sincere those who are sincere
[13:27]will perish except for those who who have precaution those who have
[13:30]precaution will perish except for those who have certainty and those who
[13:37]have certainty are of exalted character as Allah said and serve your
[13:41]lord until there comes to you that which is certain in chapter
[13:44]15: 99 the lowest level of sincerity is when the bondsman exerts
[13:48]himself as much as he can and then does not consider his
[13:52]action to have any worth with Allah so that he does not
[13:54]make his Lord recompense him for his actions according to his knowledge
[14:00]for if Allah asks him to fulfill the full duties of slavehood
[14:03]he would be unable to do so the lowest station of the
[14:06]sincere person in the world is safety from all wrong actions to
[14:12]be rescued from the fire and to win the garden in the
[14:14]next World section 17 precaution precaution tawa has three facets precaution by
[14:21]dependence on Allah which means leaving behind contradiction and going Beyond any
[14:26]shade of doubt and that is the precaution exercised by the the
[14:28]highest two the precaution of Allah which means to abandon all doubtful
[14:33]matters and to leave the Forbidden Haram alone this is the precaution
[14:40]of the elite number three the precaution of the fire and Punishment
[14:43]which results in leaving alone what is forbidden this is the precaution
[14:47]of the general public precaution is like water flowing in a river
[14:50]the three levels of precaution are like trees of every color in
[14:56]variety planted on the bank of that River each tree absorbing water
[15:00]from that River according to its Essence capacity delicateness and thickness then
[15:06]the benefits which creatures take from these trees and fruits are according
[15:10]to their value and worth Allah said palm trees having one root
[15:14]and others having distinct Roots they are watered with one water and
[15:17]we make some of them Excel others in fruit in chapter 13:4
[15:21]precaution and acts of obedience to Allah is like water for the
[15:26]trees and the natures of the trees and their fruits and their
[15:29]colors and taste are like the measures of belief Whoever has the
[15:32]highest degree in belief and the purest nature with respect to the
[15:38]soul has the greatest precaution he who is precautious has a pure
[15:41]and more sincere worship whoever is like that is nearer to Allah
[15:44]but every Act of devotion that is founded on something other than
[15:48]precaution comes to nothing Allah said is he therefore better who laid
[15:54]his foundation on fear of Allah and his good pleasure or he
[15:56]who laid his foundation on the edge of a cracking hollowed bank
[15:59]so it broke down with him into the fire of Hell in
[16:04]chapter 9: 109 the explanation of precaution is to avoid entering an
[16:08]affair which contains no harm simply out of fear of one which
[16:11]does it is in reality obedience without Rebellion remembrance without forgetfulness knowledge
[16:19]without ignorance and it is accepted by Allah and not rejected section
[16:24]18 fearing Allah close the gates of your limbs and senses to
[16:27]all that will harm your heart remove your standing with Allah and
[16:30]bring it in its wake grief and regret on the day of
[16:34]judgment and shame about the evil actions you committed the scrupulous person
[16:39]must have three principles he should overlook The Faults of all people
[16:43]he should avoid offending them and he should balance censure with praise
[16:47]the basis of fearing Allah is to constantly take the self to
[16:52]account to be truthful in one's words and pure in one's transactions
[16:55]to leave every doubtful thing to abandon every defect and doubt to
[17:00]separate oneself from all which does not concern you and not to
[17:03]open doors which you will not know how to close Do not
[17:07]sit with anyone who obscures what is clear for you nor with
[17:09]someone who takes the faith lightly do not question knowledge which your
[17:15]heart has no capacity for and which you will not understand of
[17:17]whoever said it and cut off anyone who cuts you off from
[17:20]Allah section 19 social interactions courteous social relations with Allah's creation while
[17:27]avoiding all acts of disa obedience to him is a sign of
[17:32]Allah's excessive generosity with his bondsmen whoever is sincere and humble before
[17:34]Allah and his innermost being will have good social interaction externally keep
[17:40]company with people for the sake of Allah and do not keep
[17:44]company merely for your own share of worldly Affairs for seeking rank
[17:48]showing off or for reputation do not fall below the limits of
[17:52]the Shar for the sake of social intercourse such as trying to
[17:58]keep up with others or gaining a reput ation for these things
[18:00]cannot make up for you and you will miss the next world
[18:04]with no recourse treat someone who's older than you as you would
[18:07]your father someone who is younger than you as you would a
[18:12]son treat your peer as you would a Brother Do not abandon
[18:14]what you know to be certain within yourself for something heard from
[18:18]other people which you doubt be gentle when you enjoy good and
[18:21]compassionate when you forbid evil never abandon a good counsel in any
[18:26]circumstance as Allah said speak to men good words in chapter 2:
[18:32]83 cut yourself off from What Makes You Forget to Remember Allah
[18:36]when Temptation distracts you from obedience to him for that comes from
[18:40]the friends and helpers of Satan do not allow the sight of
[18:45]them to move you to dissimulation with a truth for that would
[18:48]be a terrible loss indeed we seek Refuge with Almighty [Music] Allah
[18:59]oh
