[0:08]a tweet released by the official account of M Ms in February

[0:11]2019 it said the following Eminems in the UK aren't suitable for

[0:18]Halal or vegetarian diets we use additives that come from animal products

[0:22]when we're making M Ms and traces of these can be found

[0:24]in the sweets end of tweet the reason why they said this

[0:30]was that they use a food additive known as cochinil also known

[0:34]as e120 which is a tiny Cactus dwelling insect that produces a

[0:38]vibrant red pigment according to Shia jurists like ayatollahistani cochinil is halal

[0:44]to eat since tiny and minute amounts are used in the manufacturing

[0:48]process as confirmed by m Ms themselves in the same tweet therefore

[0:55]Eminem's are indeed halal
