[0:10]respected brothers and sisters assalamu alaikum warahmatullahi and analyzing the great du'a
[0:21]of el jose al-qabir we mentioned last night that this dua is
[0:26]narrated by a sheikh al-khafimi in his book of al misbah and
[0:29]he tells us the story of how we receive this dua jibril
[0:34]comes down upon rasulullah during one of the battles and the holy
[0:39]prophet is wearing an armor he tells him take off this joshua
[0:44]and this armor and instead recite this beautiful dua of josh for
[0:52]this dua serves as protection for you and for your nation for
[0:58]your ummah and we explained last night that this dua protects us
[1:01]in four ways number one if we recite it and we said
[1:06]that it is recommended to recite at least at least once during
[1:09]the month of ramadan and specifically the first night of ramadan and
[1:13]we recite it during the so this is number one number two
[1:17]the one that holds it with him receives protection number three the
[1:22]one that keeps him keeps the dua in his house and number
[1:24]four finally the one that writes the kefin allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
[1:30]gives us many forms of protection through this dua number one we
[1:35]said allah protects you from any harm and danger from any sickness
[1:38]that may afflict me while i'm reciting we said that allah will
[1:44]protect you from theft allah will protect you from fire and ultimately
[1:48]allah azzawajal protects us from the fires of hell so all these
[1:52]protection that we receive from joshua al-kabir and that's why the name
[1:56]is given to it the du'a of the great protection joshua we
[2:01]said armor protection tonight i want to focus and analyze the content
[2:07]of this beautiful du'a because number one when you understand and study
[2:12]you begin to appreciate much more than when it becomes just a
[2:18]ritual i read something that i don't understand and this is a
[2:21]problem with many to us many of us we read the aquaman
[2:25]we don't know what we're saying we read for example and we
[2:29]don't understand what we're saying we recite we don't understand it all
[2:34]we recite to allah this is a problem that we have with
[2:36]all of our du'as and not just with quran many of us
[2:41]have not understood the tafsir of quran when you do not understand
[2:44]the tafseer of the quran or you don't understand the meanings of
[2:50]the dua you will not benefit when you study the dua you
[2:52]will benefit much more and you will learn to appreciate the after
[2:56]you study it so this is number one number two we said
[3:01]that even though this dua is classified from a rijali perspective as
[3:06]being morosel remember the missing link between al-kef but if you analyze
[3:14]the meanings of this dua the content one would be sure and
[3:16]certain beyond doubt that these are the words of allah subhanahu wa
[3:22]ta'ala similar to you know some sermons of sharif did not tell
[3:28]us how he got it it is morsel but when one reads
[3:33]that one sees the eloquence and the power that they know this
[3:36]can only be said by amir al-mu'min likewise when we study the
[3:43]dua of jose one can be certain that these words are so
[3:46]powerful are so eloquent are so deep in meaning they contain so
[3:51]much knowledge so much wisdom so much treasures that these must be
[3:57]the words of allah rasulullah or one of the imams of ahlul
[4:01]bait alaihimo so let's analyze this beautiful dua of joshua the kabir
[4:08]is divided into 100 verses there are 100 verses in this beautiful
[4:15]du'a in each verse there are 10 titles or names of allah
[4:23]azzawajal and verse 55 to be exact verse 55 contains 11 names
[4:27]and titles of allah so if you add all that up contains
[4:31]how many names of allah one thousand and one names of allah
[4:37]in this beautiful da there is no better way to invoke the
[4:40]name of allah than through this you will not find any other
[4:48]dua that contains these many attributes names and titles of allah subhanahu
[4:50]ta'ala you will not find any hadith search amongst all the books
[4:57]search amongst the hadith of all the muslims you will not find
[5:01]one that incorporates one thousand and one names of allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala
[5:05]in this beautiful way many of us when we read joshua and
[5:09]we think it's all repetitive we're saying the same thing over and
[5:12]over again okay i get it allah is i get it allah
[5:17]is for example merciful allah is generous allah is powerful allah is
[5:22]knowledgeable and we think that the many verses are as what they
[5:27]call in the arabic language it's just different ways of saying the
[5:30]same thing right while when we study dua el joson you would
[5:34]find that each verse tells you something new tells you something different
[5:38]each verse teaches us a new attribute of allah that we did
[5:43]not know before this verse so there is no repetition and you
[5:46]know because of this misunderstanding sometimes as we progress in this dua
[5:52]when we're reading it in the beginning there is excitement you see
[5:55]everyone subhan but as soon as we reach verse 50 60 70
[6:00]people begin they get bored correct because it's they think it's repetition
[6:05]i'm saying the same thing over and over again and that's why
[6:09]i've heard some people either this is their lisa or as they
[6:15]say this is how we feel towards the end of the dua
[6:17]instead of saying some they just want to finish this dua and
[6:25]go back home why because to them this is just repetition i'm
[6:28]saying the same thing over and over again while when you study
[6:31]dual channel you find every verse is telling you something different study
[6:36]it and then read it you will enjoy the pleasure of reciting
[6:41]such that you would wish it wasn't just 100 verses it was
[6:46]200 verses like we said last night he says when i studied
[6:52]it and i just read it you will read it a thousand
[6:53]times but you will not benefit he said when i sat down
[7:00]to study he said i found and extracted so many hidden gems
[7:03]and treasures that i fell in love with this beautiful such that
[7:07]we said he would recite it in his qunut every day every
[7:11]day he would recite one verse of the 100 verses and hescanut
[7:14]because he understands the meanings of this beautiful dua the meanings are
[7:19]very very delicate and very beautiful as you will see in sha
[7:26]allah so 100 100 verses all remembering the names of allah 1001
[7:30]names and after each verse we implore the mercy of allah subhanahu
[7:34]wa ta'ala we say together subhana and we say glory be to
[7:45]you allah the one and only god you see the tawheed every
[7:51]verse the one and only god we ask you to help us
[7:52]to help us and save us and protect us from the fires
[7:57]of hell and what's beautiful about dua el josen what makes it
[8:01]unique to all the other duas is that most of the other
[8:05]duas you have one reciter who takes the microphone and he recites
[8:08]all of it correct while in dua joshua everyone participates you find
[8:15]it is an interactive dua it is a communal dua it shows
[8:18]the beauty of the community it shows the beauty of the congregation
[8:22]while one reciter reads the verse because the reciter is reading and
[8:37]reading and reading as soon as you doze off it's your turn
[8:42]to speak and say subhana ke allah illah it's a beautiful dua
[8:47]we have to focus on brothers and sisters and when it comes
[8:52]to this beautiful dua of el jose al-qab you find that this
[8:56]dua is very delicate it is very delicate and precise in both
[9:00]its words and its meanings what do i mean it's delicate in
[9:07]its words meaning sometimes the difference between iman and kufar in this
[9:14]dua is one haraka sometimes when i attend some massage at some
[9:20]reciters when they recite instead of praising allah subhana wa ta'ala they
[9:24]start doing kufur to allah subhanahu ta'ala because they have not studied
[9:30]the arabic language and they cannot read the text correctly you see
[9:36]sometimes one haraka father makes a difference between iman and kufur let
[9:40]me give you examples from the quran allah says in the holy
[9:45]quran he disavows he disassociates and condemns whom the mushrikeen after that
[9:57]and then says allah says you may say who cares rasulullah rasool
[10:05]who cares the difference between rasulullah and rasool is the difference between
[10:10]iman and kufur why because if you were to say and almost
[10:17]that means allah and his prophet they what condemned them this is
[10:23]iman and this is how the verse should be read but if
[10:26]someone doesn't understand the arabic language doesn't understand the harakat and and
[10:31]does not read it correctly says this is why because now the
[10:39]prophet becomes the object now the verse would be saying allah condemns
[10:43]two he condemns the muslim and he condemns how do we extract
[10:52]this and know this from one haraka when you say rasulullah it
[10:55]means the prophet disavows them when you say rasool that means allah
[11:00]condemns the prophet this is one example of how one haraka can
[11:02]make a big difference in our understanding of iman and kufur let
[11:05]me give you another example in another verse we we read allah
[11:11]subhanahu wa ta'ala says [Applause] one of them very good guess obviously
[11:24]it's one of them so we know it's not lahi if we
[11:38]were to if we were to recite the verse so the meaning
[11:51]would be that indeed the fear only allah which is iman which
[11:56]is the correct meaning while if you were to say inna shallahu
[12:01]allah becomes the father that means you're saying that allah fears the
[12:05]ulama which is it fear allah that difference and that discrepancy and
[12:16]the meaning is all extracted from one haraka if you say allah
[12:23]that means if you say allahu that means allah fears the alama
[12:26]and that would be this is the second example let me give
[12:28]you a third example in another verse we read allah says ibrahim
[12:47]this is the correct way of reading the quran the allah wa
[12:53]ta'ala was the one that tested ibrahim so allah is some people
[12:58]they don't know the they don't read it right they say ibrahim
[13:03]was the one that tested allah which becomes kufur so just understanding
[13:08]the importance of the harakat the in the arabic language is the
[13:14]difference between iman and kufar now in the quran this is clear
[13:18]come to unfortunately i go to some communities some reciters do not
[13:26]know how to read the harakat that's why brothers and sisters i
[13:29]know we all want to read and it's an honor to recite
[13:33]publicly you know in the masjid some people have a nice voice
[13:35]but it's not just about the voice we have to always choose
[13:39]people that read it correctly because if they read it wrong it'll
[13:42]be kufur let me give an example in one verse of joshua
[13:47]we say about allah you know how many times i've been to
[13:59]communities that some reciters read it the opposite what are we reading
[14:05]we're saying allah is the one that sees but he cannot be
[14:08]seen he is the one that feeds but he is not fed
[14:11]he is the one that creates but he was not created sometimes
[14:16]i've been to communities where the reciter says they say the allah
[14:31]is the one that he cannot see but he is seen allah
[14:36]is the one that cannot feed but he is fed allah is
[14:38]the one that cannot create what he was created why are they
[14:42]saying this because of the god if you change the harakat in
[14:45]a small way iman becomes a session of kufur and that's why
[14:51]the reciters have an obligation they have to know how to read
[14:53]correctly and imagine if one day a muslim from another school of
[14:58]thought comes you know i said last night one of the beauties
[15:00]of joshua alto hate right so no muslim even know ahabi can
[15:06]come and say there is shirk there is tawasu there is shafa
[15:08]no it's all allah but imagine they come and they see that
[15:10]we're saying this because they are reading all this cover the reciter
[15:19]does not know because of his ignorance so going back to the
[15:25]point dua el josen is a very delicate delicate meaning we have
[15:27]to be very careful when it comes to the words and when
[15:32]it comes to the meanings what do i mean the meaning this
[15:37]is what's important and we have to discuss tonight as i said
[15:40]some of us think that there are 100 verses and each verse
[15:43]10 names 1 000 names we think that it's all repetition we
[15:48]say allah subhanahu wa ta'ala is rahim we say it in 10
[15:52]different ways we say allah has powerful in 10 different ways correct
[15:55]when we do not understand when we do not study correctly this
[16:00]is what happens take the book of zawari one thousand pages how
[16:07]he analyzes studies and that's commentary of this beautiful you would see
[16:14]there is no dua that explains allah his attributes like and i
[16:21]will just give you one example because i have no time i
[16:24]can do 10 lectures on this but i will just give you
[16:26]one example tonight i will give you the example of the fact
[16:32]that allah subhanahu wa is what is forgiving i began the first
[16:37]night of my majalis speaking about the fact that ramadan this month
[16:41]of ramadan is the month of forgiveness it is a month of
[16:51]a month of forgiveness and one of the greatest ways we see
[16:56]we understand the forgiveness of allah is through it's one thing to
[17:02]say allah is one thing to say allah forgives but it's another
[17:05]thing to look at the different levels and ways in which allah
[17:11]forgives you and joshua five levels of forgiveness we see dua joshua
[17:15]don't think it's repetition number one we see that allah subhanahu wa
[17:20]ta'ala sometimes uses the word what is the one that forgives this
[17:30]is one of the attributes of allah so allah does it stop
[17:46]there no this is the first level is that allah subhanahu wa
[17:50]ta'ala forgives meaning that allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will not punish you
[17:54]for your sins this is one level of allah's forgiveness and then
[17:57]you come to a second level you find another verse allah says
[18:07]you and i can also be rafir allah is the best of
[18:16]forgivers you and i can also forgive we spoke about this the
[18:18]first night but what we hold grudges allah does not hold the
[18:20]grudge what do i mean say there are three levels of three
[18:26]levels of forgiving and this can be extracted from one of the
[18:31]verses of the holy quran in chapter 64 allah subhanahu ta'ala says
[18:37]what else that if someone wrongs you if someone does lulum to
[18:49]you you can retaliate correct you have the right to retaliate justice
[18:55]but the quran says but if you forgive it's better how do
[19:00]i forgive the quran tells us three levels of forgiveness number one
[19:05]the quran says what is afu afu means you ignore imagine someone
[19:10]comes and he disrespects me i just ignore him and walk i
[19:14]don't retaliate sometimes someone wants to provoke you he comes and he
[19:17]calls you a bad name this provokes you and then you retaliate
[19:19]this is not afu afu is like the imams of ahlulbait when
[19:24]they used to call them names they would just overlook and go
[19:30]so afu is that you don't retaliate you forgive meaning you ignore
[19:35]that person this is the first level this is the easiest level
[19:39]of forgiving and then the quran says then after that comes asaf
[19:43]what is asaf asaf has a higher level you don't just ignore
[19:48]no you what you forgive and you forget meaning that if you
[19:55]see that person you don't expose him you don't remind him you
[19:57]don't keep on telling him you disrespected me there are some people
[20:00]who ignore who forgive they won't retaliate but they'll go and expose
[20:05]that person this person did this to me this person did that
[20:07]to me this is awful but this is not means you forget
[20:11]about it don't mention it anymore even if you see him you
[20:14]completely forget it this is what this is a higher level of
[20:18]forgiving not only do you ignore but now you forget you don't
[20:23]remind that person nor do you tell anyone about the name of
[20:26]that person and then there's a third highest level of forgiving the
[20:30]quran calls it what enter or on according to some of the
[20:37]tafsir what is refram the highest level is that not only do
[20:41]you ignore you don't retaliate not only do you forget but you
[20:46]treat that person who oppresses you with kindness sometimes you forget sometimes
[20:53]you forgive other times you forget other times you act as if
[20:56]this person has done you a good deed like don't we remember
[21:00]the story of imam al-hasan when a man from came to him
[21:02]from the city of sham from the area of sham and he
[21:06]began to swear at the imam he began to disrespect him the
[21:10]imam ignored him he did not retaliate he didn't tell him you
[21:13]are this you are that like some of us correct the imam
[21:15]not only did afu the imam did sav meaning the imam did
[21:21]not even mention it why are you saying this what's wrong the
[21:24]imam not only did suffer the imam did reframe what is the
[21:28]imam smiled in his face and he told him do you need
[21:31]money do you need shelter do you need food so someone wrongs
[21:34]you but you treat them with kindness this is the highest level
[21:39]that you take out all of the grudge from your heart even
[21:41]though that person wronged me i forgive him internally i don't hold
[21:47]the grudge i don't hold animosity and hatred look at it came
[21:51]to him the imam did not argue right away he forgave him
[21:55]externally that means he didn't say anything and he forgave him internally
[21:59]meaning he did not hold a grudge towards al-shur this is the
[22:03]highest level of forgiving you conceal you don't talk about it and
[22:06]in fact you treat that person who wronged you with kindness at
[22:13]fa bella so this is what this is the highest level of
[22:17]forgiving allah azzawajal not only is he that was level one level
[22:24]two allah is what does that mean when allah forgives you he
[22:29]conceals your sins there's a hadith from ali the imam says tries
[22:44]me on the day of judgment and he shows me my sins
[22:49]how much sins i have done hundred thousand some of us hundreds
[22:52]of thousands of sins throughout 70 or 80 years of our lives
[22:57]and then allah tells them look at my rahma look at my
[23:01]forgiveness not only will i not punish you i forgive you i
[23:04]forgive you i won't punish you for this but i concealed your
[23:08]sins in the dunya how many of us brothers and sisters we
[23:11]commit so many bad things in private allah azzawajal conceals allah azzawajal
[23:18]keeps our reputation good i come to the mosque everyone thinks i'm
[23:22]holy i'm good but they don't know what i do in my
[23:24]house with my wife with my husband with my children with my
[23:28]partners with my friends and my sahara allah subhanahu ta'ala is what
[23:35]sataru so allah tells that believer that in the dunya you committed
[23:38]so many sins but i was the one to conceal this is
[23:42]from the forgiveness of allah subhanahu ta'ala and today i will forgive
[23:46]and conceal on the day of judgment allah says today i will
[23:48]not expose you in front of people i will conceal your sins
[23:52]so that no one sees them and in addition allahu akbar you
[23:57]see the highest level of allah's forgiveness allah tells the abid not
[24:01]only will i forgive and conceal i will take those sins and
[24:04]i will change them into good deeds the quran says when he
[24:15]forgives you he doesn't just say i will not punish you he
[24:19]says remember those sins i will take them and i will change
[24:21]them into good deeds allahu akbar this is where you see allah's
[24:27]so when the person goes to paradise people say subhanallah is this
[24:31]a nebi is this a wali is this a prophet that he
[24:33]has all these good deeds he doesn't have bad deeds they don't
[24:38]know allah is he has so many bad deeds allah conceals allah
[24:41]subhanahu forgives and he changes them into good deeds he conceals in
[24:54]the dunya he conceals on the day of judgment and he changes
[24:59]your bad deeds into good deeds if you repent this is the
[25:02]second type of forgiveness we read in yo does it stop there
[25:09]no number three we re we read in dual josh is what
[25:14]allah what's the difference between if i don't know the arabic language
[25:25]i think it's the same thing allah forgives there is a difference
[25:28]between raphur and gaffer they say exaggeration someone that always practices something
[25:36]always forgives this person is but what exactly does rafir mean is
[25:46]the one that forgives big sins sometimes maybe you just committed one
[25:55]sin but it's a very big sin like the committed one sin
[26:00]he stopped imam hussain from continuing but that one sin was one
[26:03]of the biggest sins a human being could commit because he caused
[26:07]the death of hussein even that big sin it's one sin but
[26:12]it's huge allah subhanahu wa allah forgives what do we call that
[26:17]allah meaning no matter how big your sin is it's one sin
[26:23]but no matter how big it is allah subhanahu wa allah will
[26:28]still forgive it there is no sin that is greater than the
[26:30]rahmah of allah subhana wa and in fact there is a story
[26:33]about this there is a hadith that happened during the time of
[26:38]rasulullah this shows you the story shows you how allah is the
[26:43]holy prophet went to the house of ma'am or if i can
[26:48]if maybe it's the opposite ma'at came to the house of rasulullah
[26:51]ma'at told him that ya rasool allah there is a young man
[26:56]with me by the name of bahul he's crying he is crying
[27:00]and crying and he's lost all hope can you help him he
[27:02]says yes let him come in comes in the prophet tells him
[27:07]what's going on why are you crying like this he tells him
[27:09]ya rasulullah i have committed a sin this sin is so big
[27:14]that i know allah will never forgive me the prophet tells him
[27:20]ya boon if your sin is greater than the mountains it's bigger
[27:24]than the mountains allah will still forgive you tells my sin is
[27:31]greater than the mountains the prophet tells them if your sin that
[27:36]you that has made you despondent and hopeless is greater than the
[27:42]world allah will still forgive you tells them ya rasulullah my sin
[27:46]is greater than the world the prophet tells them if your sin
[27:50]is greater than the universe allah will forgive you he tells him
[27:55]my sin is greater i can't even mention it how evil my
[27:58]sin is how despicable it is the prophet tells him what did
[28:03]you do he tells him my job i'm a gravedigger every time
[28:08]someone is buried i would go at night i would dig that
[28:13]grave and i would steal the kaffir i would live on that
[28:17]i steal the kefir of that dead person and i would go
[28:20]and sell it this is how i make my living that's a
[28:23]terrible job isn't it but his sin does not stop there look
[28:27]at how grave his sin and it's unbelievable he tells him until
[28:32]ya rasulullah one night one day i heard one of the woman
[28:37]a young woman from the ansar died so to me that means
[28:42]i have to go and dig her grave and take the caffeine
[28:45]he says at night when everyone's sleeping i went and i was
[28:49]digging and digging that grave until i uncovered her i took her
[28:54]out of the grave and i stole her keffen as i was
[28:59]leaving the shaytan came to me and he told me look because
[29:01]now she is left without a kef and look at her look
[29:05]at her beauty and the shaytan instigated me remember we spoke about
[29:09]shaitaan last night or the night before alhamdulillah ramadan the shayat are
[29:13]locked up we said the shaytan came to me and he started
[29:18]to pressure me and whisper to go and commit the haram act
[29:21]with that dead body it's already a big sin to commit adultery
[29:27]to fornicate but with a dead body would even a human being
[29:33]do this he says i went and i committed the haram and
[29:34]i just left the body like that he says as i left
[29:39]i heard a voice telling me may allah curse you for what
[29:41]you did to me may allah azzawajal curse you and punish you
[29:46]on the day of judgment it's not enough that you stole my
[29:48]kef and you had to leave me like this and do that
[29:52]to me so he tells the story he tells him this is
[29:57]my sin this is how huge it is you see how big
[30:00]the sin is that even rasulullah was shocked the holy prophet even
[30:05]the prophet who knows how big the rahm of allah and how
[30:10]great it is he told him get out of my house because
[30:13]i am afraid allah will bring down the punishment right now upon
[30:16]you and i'm next to you leave me alone even the prophet
[30:21]doubted rasulullah may forgive the sin this is too big he left
[30:26]felt abandoned by rasulullah who's going to forgive him now if rasulullah
[30:30]tell them leave he goes to a mountain for 40 days he
[30:35]places his hand on his neck like this and he does 24
[30:39]hours a day he says he tied his hands to his neck
[30:48]to show his repentance when he repents brothers and sisters show allah
[30:51]that you feel the guilt inside you show allah that you feel
[30:54]bad for what you did allah forgives you if you show the
[30:59]guilt so he showed the nedem the guilt the remorse 40 days
[31:02]he would cry and weep to allah subhanahu ta'ala after 40 days
[31:08]jibril comes down upon the holy prophet and he informs the prophet
[31:12]ya rasulullah go and tell bahulud that i have forgiven his sin
[31:16]allah brings down a verse where he says that i have forgiven
[31:32]him the prophet quickly goes to bahalud he tells them i bring
[31:36]you glad tidings from allah azzawajal that there is no sin that
[31:40]allah will never forgive this is where allah subhanahu ta'ala shows us
[31:46]that he is what so when we recite in dua el jose
[31:48]and you see the word know what allah is talking about that
[31:54]means no matter how big your sin is allah azzawajal will forgive
[31:57]you if you come clean to allah you repent and you show
[31:59]that sorrow to allah the guilt to allah allah will forgive you
[32:04]so this is number one this is number three we said number
[32:06]one allah fir in the he forgives us number two he is
[32:12]he conceals and he changes your sins into good deeds number three
[32:19]we said allah is what allah is number four the fourth aspect
[32:24]of the forgiveness of allah that we find in joshua is means
[32:39]no matter how many sins you do allah will forgive you for
[32:46]means no matter how big and ugly your sin is no matter
[32:48]how many sins you have even if it's a million sins allah
[32:52]will forgive you muhammad ibn muslim comes to alimony if someone commits
[33:04]a sin but then he repents to allah he asks for forgiveness
[33:07]allah will forgive him muhammad ibn muslim then asks a very important
[33:13]question he says after allah forgives me what if i go back
[33:20]to the haram many of us we commit some sins we feel
[33:26]bad correct ramadan comes i feel holy spiritual i feel bad i
[33:29]turn to allah and i ask him to forgive me allah forgives
[33:33]me but as soon as ramadan finishes i go back right to
[33:36]the haram how many times after repenting we go back to the
[33:40]haram correct muhammad have been muslim imam al-baqarah what if after repenting
[33:46]i went back to the haram will allah still accept me or
[33:50]no the imam says yes allah will accept you the second time
[33:54]muhammad muslim says what about the third time allah repents i repent
[33:57]allah forgives me the second time and then i go a third
[34:00]time will allah forgive me he says yes allah will forgive you
[34:04]but then there must be a time when allah says enough is
[34:08]enough right imagine if someone comes and he disrespects me i forgive
[34:14]him he disrespects me again i forgive him obviously there's a time
[34:17]in which i say enough i have a red line where is
[34:20]the red line for allah muhammad in the muslim says how many
[34:22]times can i do a masaya and then repent and then do
[34:26]a massa is this a game i'm playing with allah ya allah
[34:29]forgive me i won't do it again and then i do it
[34:29]again anima tells him let me tell you the rule then there
[34:42]is no limit no matter how many times you do a sin
[34:47]and repent do a sin and repent do a sin and repent
[34:51]allah will keep on forgiving you what do we call this rafar
[34:54]no the allah subhanahu wa israel there is no time there is
[35:01]no instance there is no circumstance where allah says enough is enough
[35:05]i'm not going to forgive you anymore because you are taking advantage
[35:07]of my repentance this is what this is rafat and that's why
[35:14]when you read in yoshin you see how precise the words are
[35:18]one of the titles of allah is what one of the titles
[35:25]of allah is yah bilat allah doesn't say the one who accepts
[35:33]the tawba he is the one who accepts the taubat meaning the
[35:37]many tawbas what does that mean that means even if you do
[35:42]tawba 10 20 30 40 times and between each tawba you sin
[35:44]allah will still accept you does not have a red line allah
[35:54]subhanahu ta'ala does not have any specific numbers where if you cross
[35:57]them i'm not going to forgive you this is where we understand
[36:00]where allah subhanahu ta'ala means by and finally we see a beautiful
[36:09]phrase one of the beautiful titles of allah no matter what type
[36:23]of sin how big it is allah will forgive you no matter
[36:26]how many sins you have done quantity allah will forgive you and
[36:31]no matter who you are allah will forgive you no matter who
[36:35]you are allah will forgive you know there's a hadith that i
[36:39]have heard where one day during the time of prophet musa ebelis
[36:43]shaytan isn't he the most evil person you can think of the
[36:48]shaitaan he heard musa speaking about tawba and repent and no matter
[36:50]how much how much you have disobeyed allah allah will forgive you
[36:54]the shaytan comes to musa he says i have a message for
[36:59]allah can you deliver it because musa would speak directly to allah
[37:02]musa he says yes what is it ask allah will allah forgive
[37:10]me shaytan who caused everything if we're stuck in traffic one day
[37:14]curse the shaytan it's because of the shaytan right everything is because
[37:17]of the shaitaan this dunya is because he fooled our grandfather adam
[37:20]and he was brought down to this word and world and now
[37:25]he what he vow to allah ask allah will he forgive me
[37:30]musa goes to allah now maybe musa thought that this is a
[37:36]silly question believes allah forgives him no way after what he had
[37:39]done so he goes to allah azza the hadith is reported he
[37:43]told them ya allah this i believes maybe probably add the word
[37:47]baran you know this guy i don't know what he's thinking i
[37:50]don't know he's smoking but he wants me to ask you that
[37:54]if he repents and he asks for forgiveness will you forgive the
[37:59]shaitan or no allah azza according to the hadith the reported hadith
[38:03]allah told them yes all he has to do is one thing
[38:08]what is it let him do that so due to adam let
[38:10]him show his humility to me musa's surprise comes back to iblees
[38:17]he says allah said yes just do that suju to adam shaytan
[38:20]is what shaytan is all arrogance he says me do sajuta adam
[38:26]no way never he goes back to the haram even the shaitaan
[38:31]allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala accepted him this is where in dua el josen
[38:34]we see the title the allahis meaning there is no one that
[38:41]is too evil for allah's forgiveness there is no one that is
[38:44]unworthy of allah's forgiveness the people that are not forgiven by allah
[38:48]are the ones that don't want allah's forgiveness they reject it they
[38:52]say allah we don't want your we don't want your forgiveness we
[38:59]don't want you in fact we want to go to hell what
[39:01]can allah do with these individuals and that's why i mentioned the
[39:07]hadith where he says i wonder how will some people go to
[39:16]hell on the day of judgment when the rahma of allah subhanahu
[39:18]ta'ala is so abundant how is it possible that someone can go
[39:28]to hell and remember we said ramadan is the month of the
[39:32]month of forgiveness for the smallest acts allah will forgive you even
[39:36]if you do nothing allah forgives you thus the prophet says pathetic
[39:44]miserable is the one who ramadan comes and finishes and allah does
[39:48]not forgive that individual so this year brothers and sisters when you
[39:52]recite yo focus on these meanings do not think that it is
[39:59]all repetition i am just saying again and again allah is forgiving
[40:02]allah is forgiving allah is forgiving no each time that we mention
[40:07]the forgiveness of allah we are speaking about one of the aspects
[40:13]one of the aspects and one of the sides and one of
[40:14]the ways that allah forgives us and this is just with what
[40:20]with i can do a lecture about for example the power the
[40:24]quadra of and the different types of the quadra of allah subhanahu
[40:28]wa ta'ala that you see in what in dua joseph i can
[40:33]do a lecture for example on the islam of allah subhanallah if
[40:37]you study to al-joshan you become a muslim and that's why i
[40:44]said he takes this he doesn't have it one thousand pages one
[40:51]thousand pages in fact some parts i would see he would say
[40:53]that there are some statements in maybe allah says in two lines
[41:01]or one line he says our ulama they spend years discussing this
[41:05]one line and i'll just give you one quick snippet but i
[41:09]won't go into detail the ulama speak about two types of attributes
[41:12]of allah i urge you to study this are the sure that
[41:21]we affirm that we prove to allah meaning allah is knowledgeable allah
[41:26]is omniscient he is omnipotent he is generous he's kind we are
[41:31]pro we are attributing perfections to allah this is called what jamal
[41:37]and then we have sifatul jalal is when we take away certain
[41:42]attributes from allah how don't we say allah doesn't have a son
[42:01]don't we say allah subhana wa does not engage in what's the
[42:03]difference between jalal and juma jamal we are affirming certain perfections to
[42:08]allah when jalal we are denying we are negating certain weaknesses from
[42:15]allah azzawajal this is mentioned in the you know there are books
[42:18]written on this books that are taught in the houses highest levels
[42:21]of houses allah subhanahu ta'ala alludes to this in the fourth verse
[42:27]of allah [Music] perfection and power and then allah speaks about safal
[42:45]jalal allah doesn't only contain this he also possesses the salah and
[42:54]i can delve into this but the point is brothers and sisters
[42:58]when you study dua you fall in love with it and you
[43:03]begin to appreciate these beautiful meanings and you begin to what you
[43:07]begin to appreciate allah more because the more you understand allah the
[43:11]more you fall in love with him and that's why imam ali
[43:13]says the first step of religion is the more you know about
[43:23]allah the better you will worship him and the more you will
[43:26]seek nearness to allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala i ask allah the almighty to
[43:29]bless us all during this blessed month of ramadan and i ask
[43:34]him to give us the ability in the tawfiq that we can
[43:36]concentrate and focus on these beautiful meanings when we recite dua el
[43:44]jose and kabir during this beautiful month
