[0:28]we continue our journey into exploring the of the holy prophet sallallahu
[0:41]alaihi allah so he gave him the highest standards of akhlaq and
[0:48]therefore he is so it's very important for us to learn from
[0:53]the qualities of the prophet sallallahu alaihi in the last few classes
[0:59]we've examined multiple dimensions about the prophet and specific examples in our
[1:07]discussion tonight we'll examine two of the prophets moral values ethical standards
[1:15]one is and the second is wafa let's start with what's haya
[1:22]how would you translate hayaa not hayat there is no accurate english
[1:31]translation for it but basically is translated as decency shyness humble humility
[1:39]being appropriate all of that is hayah the prophet was known to
[1:48]to have excessive he was excessively appropriate decent he even would be
[1:55]shy you know there are some people they're reckless they never are
[2:00]shy to say anything or do anything so they exceed the limit
[2:06]they start doing wrong the one who has that hayat stops you
[2:10]from doing wrong because it brings you decency one hadith from abu
[2:16]sayyad al-khudari which we briefly examined before he states kaana rasulullah the
[2:23]prophet had the quality of having excessive and one example of that
[2:32]is that whenever someone would ask him for something he would not
[2:36]say no why because he has hayah he's shy to say no
[2:41]that's how much decency he had you ask him for something even
[2:45]if it's difficult for him to grant you what you're asking him
[2:49]but because of his he would not say no yes [Music] nowadays
[2:55]if you're like that people blame you they said they take advantage
[2:58]of you you are not uh yes sometimes people will try to
[3:03]take advantage of you so the believer is also smart you kind
[3:07]of have to know when it's a case where it's going to
[3:12]lead to negative consequences or they're setting you up and maybe trying
[3:16]to harm you at that point you have to draw a line
[3:19]but if you can help someone sometimes there are some people who
[3:23]take advantage of you right but they're not harming you they're just
[3:26]benefiting from you it's okay as a believer give them that's okay
[3:31]allah will compensate you what's the problem where's the problem yes the
[3:36]minute they have a plan you sense and you have to be
[3:39]smart that they're trying to bring you down they're trying to destroy
[3:42]you and your family okay you have to protect yourself but you
[3:45]but a lot of times it's it's not to that extent about
[3:49]the of the prophet this hadith is amazing it says you know
[4:04]in arabic culture a woman who's who was not married she was
[4:09]known to have haya because she doesn't have experience she's not dealt
[4:12]with people she's just in her room in her dad's house so
[4:17]she had a lot of shyness she's shy right because she she
[4:21]has not even left the house just keep that in mind this
[4:25]background context so the prophet salallahu had more than a than an
[4:31]unmarried girl in her dad's house can you imagine the prophet now
[4:38]what's amazing is that the prophet is a leader he's leading a
[4:41]nation he's leading a war a battle yet he had so much
[4:45]that's the beauty of a believer when it comes to the hak
[4:50]you're firm when it comes to the haku you're not shy but
[4:52]you're decent you still have that shyness so you have to maintain
[4:58]that balance when it comes to your religious values your moral values
[5:02]you're very strong you're very firm sometimes you have to even go
[5:06]to war like the prophet did but he still had more than
[5:11]a than an unmarried girl in her house by the way today's
[5:19]society has changed today society favors the one who's bold who's in
[5:24]your face who's not always honest and that's a problem society rewards
[5:29]such people they get more power they get a greater influence society
[5:34]allows them more manipulation but sometimes if you're shy if you have
[5:39]haya you're decent you're appropriate you go by the rules people don't
[5:45]yeah people don't pay attention to you they don't respect you that
[5:49]much and that's a problem however remember you work for allah not
[5:53]for society let's examine now some specific examples of the prophet's so
[6:00]we know he had hayat but let's look at some examples number
[6:04]one the prophet when he would talk to you he would not
[6:10]fix his eyes in your face he would not fix his nerve
[6:15]his gaze in your face out of shyness you know sometimes when
[6:21]you're talking to someone you look them directly into the eye no
[6:24]the prophet would not do that he's talking to you but he
[6:27]lowers his eyes a little bit see that's a sign of respect
[6:32]he's respecting you he's not acting all superior some people know when
[6:37]they look at you it's as if they're going to swallow you
[6:42]any minute that's how much bold that's how much boldness they have
[6:45]that's one the second example when the prophet wanted to make point
[6:53]out something that maybe would have made someone uncomfortable let's say you're
[6:59]committing a mistake you're doing something wrong remember he's a community leader
[7:02]he's a prophet he has to show you right from wrong the
[7:06]prophet would not do it directly he would use indirect references or
[7:11]if he had a request he would say so indirectly some people
[7:16]know they're very direct don't be direct even if you're fixing someone's
[7:20]mistakes right you're pointing out to them their faults say it indirectly
[7:25]that way you preserve their dignity that's how he was number three
[7:32]the companions have mentioned that the prophet salallahu alaihi was never seen
[7:38]going out to the bathroom never that's how much decency and he
[7:45]had in fact in fact one day the hadith states a group
[7:50]of hypocrites they said the prophet is leaving he's going out to
[7:53]the open desert so they thought maybe the prophet is going you
[7:57]know to use the bathroom they said let's follow him let's follow
[8:01]him and then see exactly what happens so the companions told them
[8:06]don't bother no one has ever seen the prophet going to the
[8:08]bathroom so that's how much he had now someone can say okay
[8:17]this is too much this is excessive but the prophet is an
[8:21]example that have decency in all aspects of your life okay another
[8:26]example is one that happened at the battle of benue was a
[8:33]jewish tribe initially the prophet signed a treaty with them to live
[8:37]peacefully in medina we talked about that in our previous years they
[8:41]broke the treaty they mobilized against the prophet and therefore the prophet
[8:46]salallahu alaihi had to take action they committed treason they sided with
[8:50]the pagans and they encouraged the pagans to attack the muslims in
[8:55]medina now this requires analysis because some prob some ulama have a
[9:02]problem with some of these narrations so basically i will mention to
[9:06]you a number of hadiths about this some from shia sources some
[9:10]from sunni sources one hadith from imam al-ali-salaam attributed to imam ali
[9:15]basically says that the prophet told imam ali go to the fort
[9:20]of bani quraida this jewish tribe and try to open the fort
[9:25]so we can achieve victory imam ali says i went to the
[9:33]fort until i heard the jews from the fort yasubuna rasulallah they
[9:41]started slandering the prophet seb in arabic either means when you cuss
[9:45]at someone or it means you slander someone or you use profane
[9:50]language or any any type of attack is called rasulullah imam ali
[9:58]says when i got the to the fort i heard them slandering
[10:04]the prophet i was hoping the prophet would not hear them so
[10:10]i wanted to go back to the prophet i heard the prophet
[10:17]no he's already approached that area and he heard them so once
[10:23]they slandered the prophet the prophet heard them he responded back what
[10:28]did the prophet say yes oh the brothers of monkeys and pigs
[10:37]soon your time will be over you're being too aggressive here's the
[10:46]important part they said qasim that's the kuniya the title of the
[10:51]prophet we've never known that you would actually swear at us back
[11:00]because like we swore at you now you're sweating back at us
[11:03]we never thought that you would swear back at us the hadith
[11:09]states fast the prophet felt ashamed he felt shy embarrassed he kind
[11:18]of went back not that he regretted but he was just shy
[11:24]he basically went back and another hadith that's narrates he was very
[11:34]bad you know he had a very bad mouth a foul mouth
[11:38]basically he came from the four slandering and swearing at the prophet
[11:44]sallallahu alaihi then the prophet salallahu alaihi said to him that you
[11:50]are the brothers of monkeys and pigs so at that point cab
[11:57]eben oseid he came from the fort and he told them you
[12:00]know we did not know that you would swear back at us
[12:03]so the prophet went back out of hayah now one hadith from
[12:11]a tribute to imam assad which is narrated by atabarsi basically the
[12:16]prophet in addition to saying that to them he told them what
[12:24]does arabic mean basically means be quiet that's what it means or
[12:37]in today's english shut up that's what it means so basically they
[12:43]told him states they told him we never thought that you would
[12:51]swear at us like that now they were the ones who started
[12:55]it but they told him we never thought you would swear at
[12:59]us like that al-imam states the prophet felt so shy or ashamed
[13:03]that he was where he was holding a stick right in his
[13:09]hand it fell from his hand and his cloak fell from his
[13:13]shoulder you know sometimes you get so shy the objects that you're
[13:18]carrying you kind of just lose them okay let's let's examine this
[13:24]incident first of all how do you feel about these hadiths remember
[13:27]it's in shia sources and in sunni sources is it problematic or
[13:33]no what is it what is it that's problematic okay if the
[13:36]rasool is saying that it's it could say because in the quran
[13:41]they mentioned that and if saying if you're telling them the thing
[13:47]is that they're blaming him as if he did something wrong and
[13:50]then he felt that he did something wrong and rasulullah so if
[13:56]he's saying something that must be the truth so why did he
[13:59]feel ashamed [Music] these hadiths so do you accept that the hadith
[14:09]or no it's fabricated no because it's shy okay let's examine this
[14:15]so some scholars have looked at these hadiths and they found them
[14:19]a little bit problematic which means we have to analyze them to
[14:22]see if we have a proper justification number one when the prophet
[14:28]told them you are the brothers of monkeys and pigs the prophet
[14:34]was not swearing at them the prophet was describing a historical incident
[14:40]that happened the earlier jews you know during a september the quran
[14:46]talks about them because they were stubborn they fought the prophets of
[14:54]god allah morphed them into what literally by the way it's not
[14:59]symbolic allah literally morphed them into pigs and monkeys so the prophet's
[15:02]telling them look by fighting the prophet of your time by rejecting
[15:08]allah and his signs your faith will be the fate of those
[15:14]who are morphed into so it's not like he's telling him you're
[15:17]a monkey you're this no no sometimes you're trying to swear at
[15:21]someone you say these words sometimes you're saying look he didn't tell
[15:24]them by the way you are monkeys he told them you're the
[15:28]brothers of those that means your fate will be their fate so
[15:30]he was not swearing at them he never said anything wrong he
[15:34]basically said what the quran said yes what the prophet said is
[15:40]in line with the quran he's just reminding them warning them if
[15:45]you continue allah will destroy you like he destroyed those people who
[15:48]became monkeys and pigs so he's not swearing at them okay that's
[15:51]the first part have told them that i'm not swearing at you
[15:56]now now here's the second question we figured out the first part
[16:03]what the prophet did what the prophet did in fact was perfectly
[16:08]called for decent the prophet was warning them in fact as a
[16:11]prophet you have to warn the people and in the end allah
[16:16]destroyed them yeah the prophet is nadira as well he has to
[16:19]warn you he's telling them just like those previous nations allah destroyed
[16:22]them and he morphed them into monkeys and pigs allah will destroy
[16:26]you now so the prophet's telling them believe stop your aggression that's
[16:29]nothing wrong in fact you have to be firm okay that's the
[16:35]first part the second part why did he feel ashamed then if
[16:42]you said the truth and you echoed what's in the quran why
[16:48]should you feel shy or even ashamed subhanallah now you know the
[16:56]akhlaq of the prophet when we examine this i'll give you an
[17:02]example let's say someone comes to you and the person is openly
[17:09]lying to you a person is just a liar and now you
[17:15]have to show a stance it's public in front of the people
[17:20]this person is coming and fabricating lies and he's just lying in
[17:23]your face and in the face of your community you as a
[17:27]leader you have to it's your obligation at this point to point
[17:31]it out so you let the people know and not show any
[17:37]sign of weakness so you will tell that person you're a liar
[17:40]you're lying that's not that's not the case that's not true okay
[17:45]so you said it's a word of truth you had to say
[17:51]it in fact if you had not said it you would have
[17:53]basically abandoned your moral responsibility of showing the evilness of that person
[17:57]and warning your people from that person so this liar comes up
[18:01]to you fabricating lies about to start a war with people you
[18:06]say you're a liar now when you said you're a liar are
[18:10]you justified or no is it inappropriate no the person is a
[18:13]repeated liar so sometimes you have to just confront him say look
[18:18]you're lying you're a liar now that you said this the supporters
[18:25]of that liar they come and tell you we've never heard you
[18:33]say a word like that before like you're such a decent person
[18:38]we've never even heard you say a liar to someone else what's
[18:44]going on they're trying to put you on the spot or they're
[18:48]just surprised because never in your life did you call anyone a
[18:52]liar but that day you had to call this person a liar
[18:55]because you had to show that stance once you called this person
[19:00]a liar his supporters or he himself that person came says like
[19:03]you know what i've never heard you i've never heard you use
[19:07]this word before naturally naturally you feel hayaa you did that which
[19:15]is right but because the person now framed it this way if
[19:19]you're a decent person you still experience haya see sometimes you have
[19:25]to beat somebody but you feel bad about it you know what
[19:28]i mean sometimes you have to say the word of huck to
[19:33]someone but then you feel bad that you had to say it
[19:34]you'd rather not say it but you had to now that you
[19:38]had to you embarrass the other person he deserves it he has
[19:42]to be embarrassed it's the hap sometimes you have to embarrass the
[19:46]evil one but you just feel shy that indicates you're good character
[19:48]that you don't take things personally and you have a grudge some
[19:52]people they have a grudge when he's attacking he attacks with a
[19:56]grudge not the prophet even when he makes a verbal attack against
[20:03]his enemies he still feels shy that's amazing that's truly amazing who's
[20:09]like that other than someone like the caliber of the prophet salallahu
[20:15]alaihi even when the prophet attacks you even when he responds to
[20:18]your false claims he still feels bad because he's not taking things
[20:24]personally with a grudge he still has his humanity inside him what
[20:31]do you say now [Laughter] what would have been the better way
[20:47]of handling it like the prophet said the truth he was warning
[20:52]them he had to say it allah told him to say it
[20:55]so they told him hey you're swearing at us what do you
[21:00]do what do you tell them what's a better way of handling
[21:07]it what could if he had said what what could he have
[21:10]said by showing his the prophet showed everyone how indecent they were
[21:16]they were the ones who started it they started the swear words
[21:21]against the prophet the prophet showed the truth and then the prophet
[21:25]retreated he ended it there basically he was saying look it's coming
[21:27]from them the hate is not coming from me he was setting
[21:31]a good example in any case if you fight scholars say if
[21:39]there's no way to justify it and you find that it contradicts
[21:47]but that's but we have to first make the effort to better
[21:51]understand it if it still contradicts the quran then we you know
[21:55]do away with the hadith but but if we can find a
[22:00]valid explanation for it then we accept it so any final thoughts
[22:17]about this look at the of the prophet i think because in
[22:21]our nowadays like society and you know is not looked upon as
[22:26]a strong character or strong it's looked down upon it looks as
[22:30]a sign of weakness yeah that's the problem yeah that is a
[22:32]problem definitely another example let's say somebody breaks into your house he's
[22:39]trying to attack your family so he's trying to hit you you
[22:45]hit him you defend yourself do you islamically religiously morally have to
[22:50]defend yourself and your family now that you hit the person he
[22:53]got hurt you feel bad is that a bad thing see you
[22:58]you're not weak you did what you have to do see the
[23:02]prophet did not show weakness they came there's remember the prophet is
[23:08]the greatest messenger of allah he's not an ordinary person and these
[23:12]vicious people are openly after trying to commit treason and trying to
[23:17]kill him they're slandering him they're using inappropriate language see the prophet
[23:22]here he can't show weakness so he had to respond to them
[23:25]by telling them see he had to say that otherwise he would
[23:30]have been weak but now that he said it he felt shy
[23:36]just like when you punched that intruder into your house and you
[23:41]gave him a black eye right or you broke his teeth okay
[23:47]you feel bad because you have humanity in you say it when
[23:51]god used to talk to prophet muhammad how did he talk to
[23:56]him like only the prophet could hear either inspiration in his heart
[24:01]he feels the words of allah or jibril speaks to him would
[24:05]bring the verses he speaks when the prophet hears him but no
[24:08]one else can hear no only the prophet and imam could also
[24:13]hear he says i could hear [Music] see we have in the
[24:31]holy quran about prophet musa indicates seriousness the person who has no
[24:49]fear is reckless it's crazy he's very polite very respectful but at
[24:58]the same time he has fear fear indicates seriousness that you're taking
[25:01]something seriously it's exactly it's precaution it's a type of precaution when
[25:07]you are cautious you kind of have fear the prophet fears fears
[25:11]for his ummah fears for his family fears for many things and
[25:17]that's good that's fear that motivates you to protect yourself to be
[25:22]cautious the one who has absolutely no fear no that's that's this
[25:25]is not a serious person this is a reckless person because when
[25:28]you have no fear you don't take the precautions necessary you end
[25:32]up in destruction that's the meaning of fear and in fact a
[25:35]human being sometimes has to have fear if you don't have absolutely
[25:40]no fear it's abnormal yes the prophet intellectually knows he's always with
[25:47]allah so he has no fear from that aspect yeah but to
[25:50]have fear over regular issues that's in fact that's a sign of
[25:54]a decent person of an intellectual person of a very balanced person
[25:59]you remind me i feel sad is like came from heaven foreign
[26:19]the next example is the house of alharatha to just show you
[26:27]the of the prophet so basically the hadith states abubak came forward
[26:30]to the prophet proposing for lady fatima the prophet refused omar came
[26:35]the prophet refused then the people went to alibana they told them
[26:41]ali why don't you go we know that he's not going to
[26:45]give fatima to anyone else but you see the imam ali the
[26:51]imam had hayah he knows allah has planned this but he has
[26:56]to show hayah indecency so now that the people pressured him he
[27:00]had an excuse let me go to the prophet so he went
[27:06]on the first date to the prophet he visited the prophet wanting
[27:10]to propose but he was too shy this is ali the one
[27:14]who carries the bob of but look at his so he left
[27:20]the second day he visited the prophet he couldn't say the third
[27:22]day the prophet told him i did three times you come i
[27:25]know you want to tell me something tell me imam ali kept
[27:31]silent so the prophet made it easier the prophet told him have
[27:35]you come to propose he said yes okay so after that the
[27:42]prophet salallahu alaihi accepted and basically he told him okay when would
[27:48]you want to have the wedding imam ali said honestly i don't
[27:52]have a house i just have my shield i can sell it
[27:57]but i can't buy a house with it you know house is
[28:01]too expensive so right now there was a dilemma of if they
[28:06]were to have the wedding next month where would they live then
[28:11]in that case imam al-islam told the prophet there is only one
[28:17]house here in this neighborhood and that belongs to haratha ibn aman
[28:23]one of your companions one of the companions of the prophet that's
[28:27]the only house available here i don't have any other house that
[28:32]i can find so imam ali was suggesting to the prophet should
[28:37]we talk to harasman to give us one of his houses one
[28:40]of his rooms he had given the prophet some other rooms the
[28:46]prophet salallahu alaihi states the prophet says i'm embarrassed i'm shy because
[28:59]man had a lot of rooms and houses we took many of
[29:05]them he gave it to to us i'm shy to ask him
[29:06]for one more even though this is for your daughter for imam
[29:11]ali and lady fatima somebody went to haritha and reported to him
[29:17]what the prophet said had came he told him everything i have
[29:26]is for allah and his rasool look at some of those decent
[29:28]companions i swear there's nothing sweeter on my heart than for you
[29:38]to take what i have and what you take from me is
[29:42]better for me than what you don't take so please please take
[29:47]this house the prophet thanked him he prayed for him and fatah
[29:53]went to that house for a while until their rooms were built
[29:57]so they spent there some time look at the prophet sallallahu alaihi
[30:03]he does not take advantage of his position someone with his power
[30:07]with his respect with his level of sacrifice yes give me i'm
[30:13]your prophet but not rasulullah he says i swear by allah i'm
[30:19]ashamed see that's a quality of a true movement of a true
[30:22]believer so this is one quality the next quality of the prophet
[30:28]is wafa what's waffa loyalty expand on it expand explain to me
[30:36]what does loyalty mean give me an example of loyalty like someone
[30:45]is loyal to his friends his family his people give me an
[30:50]example of loyalty of waffle like a lady for her like her
[30:56]husband who died one aspect of waffle is for you not to
[31:02]forget the previous favors others have or the previous relationship you've had
[31:08]some people forget and they deny one aspect of waffle is to
[31:15]recognize the favors of others so let's examine some examples of wafa
[31:23]the first example is did you know that the prophet had a
[31:30]sister she's his sister from suckling from rada her name her title
[31:40]is known as a shema she's the daughter of alharith asadi do
[31:46]you know who her mother was halima that's how she would be
[31:54]for the prophet because remember took the prophet and she nursed him
[31:58]she breast fed him and so her daughter would be mahram to
[32:01]the prophet because she would be the sister in rada so her
[32:08]name is known as a shema the hadiths indicate that at the
[32:16]battle of hunain this is when the prophet was in medina there
[32:21]was a village that tried to fight the prophet so the muslims
[32:25]achieved victory they basically held them as captive as asean as prisoners
[32:30]of war so they brought them to the prophet one of those
[32:36]who was enslaved was who a shema this daughter of halima she
[32:41]was one of the prisoners of war because and her village had
[32:46]basically rebelled against the prophet so the muslims captured them they took
[32:50]them as captive they brought them to the prophet so the prophet
[32:53]decides what happens to them one of those who was held as
[32:57]captive was this woman a shema so basically she came towards the
[33:07]prophet sallallahu alaihi as she was being taken she told the muslims
[33:11]shame on you how dare you enslave a woman who is the
[33:19]sister of your prophet they told her we've never heard that is
[33:25]that true she's like take me to the prophet and i'll confirm
[33:31]that so she went to the prophet she told him your sister
[33:36]in rada meaning she's taken as a captive are you okay with
[33:44]that so basically the prophet salallahu alaihi told her explain to me
[33:47]who are you what's this case she basically tells him i am
[33:52]the daughter of halima remember when my mother halima took you from
[33:56]mecca to our village i would take care of you i would
[34:01]carry you because she was a few years older than the prophet
[34:04]sometimes when my mother was away she was busy i was the
[34:08]one who would carry you so she says this to the prophet
[34:12]sallallahu alaihi the prophet salallahu alaihi says yes you're right i do
[34:21]remember that then the prophet took his own cloak his and he
[34:24]made it like a sheet a blanket where she could sit on
[34:27]he told her sit here he was showing her a lot of
[34:32]respect then the prophet told her okay i give you the option
[34:34]either stay with us here stay with me in medina and i
[34:40]will take care of you and we'll spend on you we'll respect
[34:44]you or if you'd like to go back to your village will
[34:47]take you back to your village she said no i want to
[34:51]go back to my village the prophet said that's fine so he
[34:55]told the muslims take her back to your village in honor and
[35:00]dignity and the prophet sent so many gifts to her by the
[35:07]way it has been mentioned that this lady ashima later after the
[35:15]prophet she became a very noble woman pious woman she would worship
[35:19]allah and once her tribe later wanted to leave the religion of
[35:25]islam she was instrumental in keeping them as muslims because she really
[35:30]believed in the message of the prophet sallallahu alaihi how is this
[35:37]an example of waffle the prophet uh because she has she she
[35:45]was a captive right the prophet here did not forget about the
[35:52]past and denied her that past no who cares i was a
[35:55]young kid at that time the prophet honored the fact that she
[36:00]would carry him sometimes when when she when he was a child
[36:04]and she was a child see that's what you're loyal people who
[36:07]served you on the path in the past you serve them now
[36:11]you forgive them you give them gifts you show them respect that's
[36:17]what most leaders would not have done some something like that they
[36:19]would even deny it you know they would even deny who are
[36:23]you i don't even know what you're talking about you're lying i
[36:25]have a friend i have a friend he's a very respected community
[36:29]figure and allah has given him wealth he once told me that
[36:36]years ago years ago someone called him from a country overseas and
[36:43]he told him i want to go to hajj will you sponsor
[36:50]me i know you are well off and alhamdulillah your you're having
[36:55]you know charitable projects give me the money to go to hajj
[37:00]he says i wired him the money he went to hajj years
[37:07]later years later the political situation changes in those countries this person
[37:12]this person becomes the prime minister of one of those countries i
[37:18]won't mention the name which person this person who went to hajj
[37:22]and he begged for money from my friend right my friend lives
[37:27]in canada this person that guy called him he told him i
[37:32]want to go to hajj give me money so he wired him
[37:34]the money he went to hajj years later that person who went
[37:37]to hajj became the prime minister in one of those countries prime
[37:43]minister powerful prime minister with millions at his disposal my friend says
[37:48]my friend in canada he says one day i called him after
[37:51]he became the prime minister salaam alaikum remember me from the old
[38:01]days i'm for on i'm so and it's so he paused for
[38:07]like 10 seconds he's like i don't remember you who are you
[38:10]i am that person whom you wanted to go to hajj and
[38:15]i gave you the money to go to hajj nothing like that
[38:20]ever happened he hung up the phone see no wafa here happens
[38:26]a lot happens i'm sure you all have stories like that see
[38:30]this person is a leader of a state but he has no
[38:36]affa no loyalty and by the way my friend says i didn't
[38:38]want anything from him it's not like i'm trying to use the
[38:41]past hey connect me give me connection no i just wanted to
[38:43]say salaam to him how are you do you need anything he
[38:51]just completely denied that he knows him not rasulullah the smallest thing
[38:56]that someone did for him the prophet recognizes it by the way
[39:03]these people that we're talking about are so called religious people now
[39:07]this person is not an atheist that i'm talking about he prays
[39:12]he fast he claims he belongs to an islamic party but this
[39:19]is how they react nowadays exactly and our prophet the main thing
[39:27]his main mission was his main mission was by the way this
[39:36]shema she has a beautiful poetry about the prophet sallallahu alaihi basically
[39:40]it's been mentioned that when the prophet was young in their tribe
[39:45]and halima sadia was taking care of him she would hold the
[39:49]prophet and she would read these lines of poetry she would say
[39:54]ya rabbana abdelana muhammad until we see him you know young and
[40:05]then he grows a little bit older than then i will see
[40:10]him as a master as someone who will have a high position
[40:15]allah protect him from his enemies and from hasset and give him
[40:23]glory that will continue subhanallah when she was young she read these
[40:26]lines of poetry because they knew the prophet was special so the
[40:31]prophet salallahu alaihi he was loyal he would not forget about these
[40:34]people who had a favor on him and this is a lesson
[40:38]for us brothers and sisters believe me in your life allah will
[40:41]try you show loyalty you know one one area when you do
[40:48]counseling is marital problems sometimes the spouses they fight there's a problem
[40:52]there's separation there's divorce it gets so nasty they forget all the
[40:57]good days with each other all the favors okay you guys years
[41:02]some of them you've been living 20 years together tell us just
[41:05]because of this last issue you forgot all of that that's why
[41:10]the holy quran states don't forget you the husband and the wife
[41:14]don't forget the days that you helped one another you served one
[41:18]another that's it you just erase that haram that's not waffle waffle
[41:24]means you recognize the past and you honor the person okay i
[41:28]have a problem with you now but i will not deny that
[41:29]in the past we live together all those hours and months and
[41:35]days that you sacrificed for the marriage i'm not going to deny
[41:39]that the person who has who has no affa is deen is
[41:43]incomplete so this is basically uh a shama the daughter of harim
[41:50]assad by the way we'll conclude with this before inshallah next uh
[41:54]in our next class we'll examine we'll mention other examples of waffah
[41:58]haleem had another daughter by the name of al-hara just to show
[42:04]you how decent her family is the daughter of harimah sadia she
[42:13]was known for her love for imam and basically in one hadith
[42:20]it mentions that she went to see al hajjaj ibn yusuf athakafi
[42:25]you guys know what is he was one of the most vicious
[42:31]rulers in history in history he was a man who sometimes wanted
[42:36]to see a person beheaded right just to see how he dies
[42:41]like they'd bring somebody who's very muscular or somebody very skinny just
[42:49]randomly from the street had judge would say kill him in front
[42:52]of you slaughter him like just cut off his head the person
[42:55]says have i committed a crime no what have i done he's
[43:00]like i want to see how a muscular person dies this is
[43:04]this is hajjaj this is hajjaj ibn yusuf that blood thirsty tyrant
[43:11]once al-hara the met him quickly he was savvy he recognized her
[43:20]he told her enti she said you're smart but you're not a
[43:29]believer because we have a hadith that says the true men is
[43:35]savvy and she told them you have farasa but you're not a
[43:39]moment subhanallah she was jetty as she was bold so basically al-hajjaj
[43:45]here summons her he wants to punish her he told her i've
[43:48]heard that you claim ali ibn abi talib is better than abu
[43:52]bakr umar and uthman is that true i've heard that you favor
[44:02]imam ali over these three is that true she said no whoever
[44:06]told you that is lying i don't favor imam ali over omar
[44:11]abu bakr and uthman i favor imam ali over all the prophets
[44:19]of allah other than prophet muhammad look at look at the audacity
[44:24]subhanallah that she had adam ibrahim i favor imam are you over
[44:34]those you're telling me um who are they these great prophets i
[44:40]say imam ali is better than them al hajjaj tells her if
[44:43]you don't bring me proof for what you said i'm going to
[44:49]have your head cut off she says look i'm not the one
[44:54]who favored imam ali over these prophets allah himself he favored imam
[44:58]ali over these prophets he says where show me the evidence he's
[45:01]like okay let's start one by one as for the first one
[45:07]adam that i mentioned allah mentions in the holy quran when he
[45:11]talks about adam allah says adam disobeyed his lord that wasn't a
[45:19]sin we've already talked about that before it wasn't technically a sin
[45:24]but he didn't take allah's advice so basically adam had to kind
[45:29]of stray from the advice of allah but your family did to
[45:47]be very worthy and allah thanks you for that allah says i
[45:52]thank you for your effort so which one is greater allah says
[45:56]about a person i thank you for your effort or allah says
[45:59]about a prophet he kind of deviated from my advice okay that
[46:06]was good i like that answer what about prophet noah and prophet
[46:14]lut how is imam ali you know what what virtue does he
[46:19]have that they don't have allah she says allah says in the
[46:28]holy quran about their wives they deviated and they went to hell
[46:37]whereas his marriage took place under sidratul muntaha the tree the lotus
[46:47]tree in heaven allah declared his marriage and he married sayidati nasal
[46:53]alamin the best of the ladies can you compare those two and
[46:57]allah subhanahu ta'ala is the one who's satisfied for the satisfaction of
[47:00]fatima and he's angry for the anger of fatima can you compare
[47:06]those two he says okay i like that answer what about ibrahim
[47:10]now that's one this one's tough because ibrahim she told him as
[47:20]for ibrahim he asked allah in the holy quran i want my
[47:36]heart to have more certainty so show it to me whereas imam
[47:40]ali she says in a hadith that everyone recognizes you and everyone
[47:47]you've heard of this he said if the veil will be to
[47:55]remove from me meaning i could see the reality of the day
[47:57]of judgment and everything the imam says my yapin would not increase
[48:01]a bit because i'm at the highest level of japan so she's
[48:06]telling him imam is greater than prophet ibrahim so he has a
[48:11]virtue there he says yes that's a good answer what about musa
[48:17]how do you claim imam ali has a virtue over musa she
[48:23]tells him allah says in the holy quran we just talked about
[48:31]hope he left the city of the pharaoh if he was scared
[48:34]because they were pursuing him they were trying to kill musa on
[48:40]the night of the mabit when the prophet asked him to sleep
[48:45]in his bed allah says and there are those people who are
[48:52]willing to sell their lives for the satisfaction of allah look at
[48:56]these two musa is about to be killed allah says he was
[49:01]scared ali ibn habitab is about to be killed allah says i
[49:03]bought his soul from him he's willing to sell himself to allah
[49:08]which one is greater he says okay i agree that basically has
[49:17]that virtue then she mentions she mentions dawood she mentions sulaiman and
[49:22]these other prophets the hadith is very long so it's truly fascinating
[49:35]very very blessed family she had the honor of being the mother
[49:42]figure for the prophet and to nurse the prophet and look at
[49:45]two of her daughters one of them was the shema and the
[49:50]story and one of them is who had so much love for
[49:57]imam ali alayhi [Music] absolutely absolutely inshallah we'll continue by examining the
[50:09]loyalty of the prophet and mentioning some other examples
