[0:00]foreign as we continue with this course we are in the sixth
[0:18]session so far and in the previous sessions we established the need
[0:23]to believe in a higher power and then we went on to
[0:32]discuss the attributes of this higher power and we discussed that this
[0:37]higher power is knowledgeable omnipotent omniscient omnipresent [Music] and we also discussed
[0:50]the Allah does not do things for no reason there's a reason
[0:56]for God's creation maybe I might do something for no reason because
[1:00]my knowledge is limited but Allah that power that is able to
[1:08]create everything that power that is able to have authority over everything
[1:12]does not do things for no reason and there's a reason for
[1:17]our creation and we mentioned three reasons mentioned in the Quran but
[1:22]they all go back to one the first is to ultimately reach
[1:27]the mercy of God because God is Mercy God is full of
[1:33]mercy and love and compassion and by Essence Allah wants to give
[1:37]Mercy not because God has a need but because God is the
[1:43]merciful so he gives Mercy to others so so this is the
[1:50]reason of creation and Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala created us for this
[1:57]reason but then how do we reach the mercy of Allah you
[2:01]reach the mercy of Allah in two ways according to the Quran
[2:03]one is Allah says in the Quran ends verily the Jinn and
[2:17]the human they were created to worship Allah so you reach the
[2:25]mercy of Allah through worship through obedience through reaching your higher potential
[2:32]in life that is how you reach the mercy of Allah and
[2:35]the second is we mentioned that there are tests in this life
[2:50]so the ultimate goal is to reach the mercy of God you
[2:55]reach that through worship through through being tested in life so we
[3:05]know that our purpose in life is to achieve something it's to
[3:08]do something now Allah also says in the Quran that this life
[3:12]and everything in this life was not created in vain Allah does
[3:21]not do something for no reason so now this is what has
[3:26]been already established in the previous sessions now we're going to move
[3:31]on to the third of the osun for the Shia or five
[3:35]you have first the tawheed believing in the Oneness of Allah subhanahu
[3:42]ta'ala establishing the existence of God the necessity of the existence of
[3:46]God and the monotheism there's only one God second we discuss the
[3:51]attributes of Allah and one of the most important attributes of Allah
[3:55]that the Shia's take as a part of the Deen While others
[4:00]don't as what Justice now what is the third nabua nabua this
[4:11]is prophethood and then you have after nabua imama and then you
[4:15]have so this is how we are going to go with this
[4:21]course so prophethood believing in a prophet believing in Messengers believing in
[4:29]a Divine representative that Allah has sent this is one of the
[4:37]main pillars and foundations of our faith we all have to believe
[4:44]in the prophets of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and we believe that
[4:47]as long as there is a creation then there must be a
[4:53]purpose for that creation so if there's a purpose for creation and
[4:56]that is guidance and that is reaching completion that is worshiping that
[5:01]is reaching the mercy of Allah then there has to be a
[5:08]Divine representative that will show us the way there has to be
[5:11]a Divine representative that's like saying as long as there's a school
[5:14]there has to be a teacher if there is a school then
[5:19]there has to be a teacher to teach otherwise what's the point
[5:22]of the school as long as there's a hospital there has to
[5:25]be a doctor to treat people so as long as there's a
[5:31]career so this is we also understand it from a logical reason
[5:34]we don't yeah we're not using any Hadith we're not using Quran
[5:40]to believe in the necessity of prophethood to believe in the necessity
[5:44]of a Divine representative as long as we believe that this Lord
[5:49]he is the omnipotent he is the omnipresent he is the omniscient
[5:53]the all-knowledgeable the wise then he created us he didn't create us
[5:56]for no reason there's a reason so does it make sense that
[6:01]God created me to reach a reason so that I worship him
[6:05]so that I get closer to him but he doesn't show me
[6:09]how does that make sense is that wise is that just is
[6:13]that compassion it's not so therefore the the the attributes of God
[6:18]and this is why we focused on the attributes of Allah we
[6:22]didn't just say there's a God we focused on the attributes of
[6:26]God because once you know the attributes of God you know God
[6:31]is merciful so this brings us you know God is just and
[6:35]these two main attributes of Allah they lead us to believe in
[6:39]many of the other things such as believing in the day of
[6:44]judgment which we will get to later belief in the day of
[6:45]judgment we don't believe in the day of judgment just because the
[6:49]Quran says or just because the prophet says but because our mind
[6:52]led us to believe in God that Lord is just therefore there
[6:55]has to be Justice our Lord our mind leads us to believe
[7:01]in Allah that Lord is merciful and compassionate therefore he has to
[7:05]have sent teachers and guides to show us the way so what
[7:08]are the proofs of prophets and Messengers the first is what they
[7:16]refer to as the principle of Grace means the proof that the
[7:27]principle Grace is love we believe that God is Latif we believe
[7:30]that God is merciful we believe that God is compassionate because if
[7:36]he was not compassionate and merciful then he would be an oppressor
[7:39]it would lead to oppression and Allah does not do oppression Allah
[7:43]does not oppress so God should be kind to his servants because
[7:48]God is the creator because God created us for a reason for
[7:55]a purpose then it only makes sense for Allah the justice of
[7:58]God and the mercy of Allah dictates the Allah has to Grace
[8:05]us with teachers and guides that's like someone making a system of
[8:09]a school but then they put an exam for the students without
[8:15]teaching them is that is that fair is that compassionate is that
[8:21]merciful it's not Allah is the merciful Allah so this it is
[8:29]one of the principles that lead us to believe in prophethood and
[8:34]later on we're going to talk about imama that same principle leads
[8:39]us to believe that there's an Imam because who said that this
[8:43]whole principle should stop after the death of the Prophet there has
[8:45]to be a Divine representative now this is accepted by the imamiya
[8:52]and by the mortezilla remember we said in the Sunni school of
[8:56]thought in terms of not in terms of in terms of silk
[9:01]they have the Maliki but in terms of there's the ashara they
[9:11]reject this principle but the martezalites and the imami US the imamiya
[9:18]we believe in the principle of Grace why don't the accept it
[9:26]they refuse it they say because this this would mean that we
[9:32]the mind and the intellect of the human being is forcing God
[9:35]to do certain things we're forcing God to be merciful we're forcing
[9:41]God to be just God could do whatever he wants remember we
[9:44]said that for them earlier we said that for them they say
[9:48]that whatever God does if God wants to take a good person
[9:51]and throw them in the hell fire then this is justice but
[9:55]the martes we said that no there is the there's the akal
[9:59]the intellect is able to tell between right and wrong to an
[10:06]extent and it goes in line with what Allah has ordered for
[10:09]us to do so they say they say to say that God
[10:14]is compassionate this would force God to be compassionate this would force
[10:18]God to be just and this is wrong you can't force God
[10:23]to do anything we say we're not we're not forcing Allah to
[10:27]do anything but Allah is compassionate by default Allah is just by
[10:34]default if he was not just he would not be God anymore
[10:38]if he was not merciful this would limit him from being the
[10:41]Lord and therefore he would not be Lord any questions regarding what
[10:48]has been said so far yes brother they don't so they use
[10:57]the same principle the principle of Grace to apply it to prophethood
[11:01]but they don't apply it to imama and we're gonna later on
[11:03]when we talk about the imama we the followers of the admit
[11:07]we use the same principles that prove the necessity for a prophet
[11:11]we say let this continue to the Imam as well they say
[11:15]no but they use the same one to apply it for prophethood
[11:17]yes yes sister yes of course Allah doesn't do anything for no
[11:36]reason we mentioned the reason for creation is that Allah has a
[11:43]purpose there's a purpose Allah says we're not playing there's a reason
[11:50]for your creation and the reason is for you to be tested
[11:55]the reason is for you to reach your Highest Potential and through
[11:58]the test through worship which reaches your Highest Potential you will reach
[12:03]the mercy of God how are you going to reach the mercy
[12:06]of God you need an instruction book you need a manual you
[12:08]need someone to show you the way who are those those are
[12:12]the prophets so the the justice of God and the same the
[12:18]the knowledge of God and the mercy of God dictates the Allah
[12:21]will send you prophets and Messengers yes yes God I we don't
[12:38]agree with that we don't agree with that I said some people
[12:41]say that say that yes yeah some people that are not everyone
[12:56]that's in the Hellfire will be there forever some people they get
[13:01]out yes Allah Allah's Mercy will will have some people get up
[13:04]okay so the first reason we said the principle of Grace that
[13:10]is one of the reasons and the principles that drives us to
[13:14]believe in the day of that drives us to believe in prophethood
[13:19]in the imama later on we're going to say we're going to
[13:22]prove the infallibility of the prophets and the imams also using this
[13:24]principle this you will you always refer to it you're going to
[13:28]hear this God that's a lot for the principality the principle of
[13:33]Grace now another reason is the justice of Allah God when when
[13:38]Allah is holding you accountable when God is holding you accountable you
[13:43]have to pray five times a day you have to fast you
[13:46]have to go to hide you have to do this you have
[13:49]to do that would it be fair if Allah is holding me
[13:52]accountable without showing me sending me someone to show me the way
[13:56]it's not fair so the first it's from a compassionate graceful reason
[14:01]this one it's the justice of God dictates that there has to
[14:07]be a prophet the justice of God dictates that there has to
[14:09]be a messenger there has to be a hajja of Allah on
[14:17]Earth there has to be a Allah does not hold me accountable
[14:20]for something that is out of my control could could Allah expect
[14:25]me to fly no Allah can't expect me to do that because
[14:28]this would mean God is not being just with me Allah this
[14:33]is a general rule now same same rule we use it to
[14:40]say the Allah also if he's holding me accountable if he's telling
[14:43]me there's Heaven and Hell there's adab and there's reward and there's
[14:48]punishment that means God has to send a teacher everyone realizes the
[14:52]brain the mind the intellect realizes that if a teacher is going
[14:55]to test you they have to show you they have to teach
[14:59]you before they test you they can't test you without showing you
[15:02]that's not fair and the imams and the prophets they are the
[15:09]Allah on Earth one of the companions of Imam he narrates from
[15:15]Imam he says a man asks the Imam he tells him [Music]
[15:23]he says why did God send prophets and Messengers to people so
[15:34]that there is no hajja so that people on the day of
[15:39]judgment they can't come and say oh God you didn't show us
[15:42]the way you didn't teach us how are you holding us accountable
[15:45]because if if Allah is going to hold people accountable he has
[15:50]to show them the way so that no one says you didn't
[16:06]guide us you didn't show us the way and this is this
[16:09]is why Allah sent prophets and Messengers he continues he says the
[16:17]people who are going to be thrown in the hell fire on
[16:18]the day of judgment what they're going to the angels they're going
[16:23]to tell them yet didn't Warners come to you Allah they're going
[16:37]everyone is going to say yes you did send us a reminder
[16:42]yes you did send us a Warner so this is the second
[16:45]reason yes so this is why we believe that from the time
[16:54]Allah created man from the time of Adam being the first representative
[17:02]of God until the day of judgment there has always been and
[17:05]there will always be a Hajj of Allah on Earth so from
[17:09]the time of Jesus to the time of rasulullah there's about a
[17:16]500 year period we believe that God may have God certainly God
[17:21]sends prophets not may have but do we know all of the
[17:26]prophets does the Quran need to tell us the name of every
[17:28]Prophet no the Quran mentions the names of about 40 prophets when
[17:34]our narrations tell us that there is over a hundred and twenty
[17:36]four thousand Prophets some prophets they came with a big message some
[17:40]prophets they were just prophets in themselves they didn't come in and
[17:43]preach so they were they were following the previous message before them
[17:46]so there was a prophet that was following the message of Jesus
[17:52]until rasulullah came yes love support yes everyone will see their book
[18:03]of deeds and that's the justice of Allah okay so we we
[18:09]understood the principle of Grace the justice of Allah a third reason
[18:15]can we see God can we speak to God can we connect
[18:22]with Allah no we can't so how was Allah going to connect
[18:28]with us shouldn't there be a bond between us and Allah right
[18:33]now when you're applying you when God has expectations from you how
[18:37]are you supposed to know what is expected of you there has
[18:43]to be a means of a connection there has to be an
[18:45]ambassador there has to be a messenger there has to be a
[18:51]rasool a prophet that connects us with Allah right now I'm applying
[18:55]for a university how am I supposed to know what does this
[18:59]University want from me can I just go to the university and
[19:04]say Hey I want to go in they're going to tell me
[19:05]no there's a specific way there's a specific pathway you have to
[19:08]fill out this application you have to write this letter you have
[19:12]to have this form you have to do that there's specific things
[19:15]that they want we know that Allah has specific expectations from us
[19:20]Allah has some expectations from us Allah says my path the path
[19:33]to God is One path follow it and don't follow the other
[19:37]Pathways this is why in Surat Al ham do we say guide
[19:42]us to the straight path not the other paths meaning there is
[19:47]one path that leads us to Allah okay so there's a path
[19:51]that leads me to God how am I supposed to know what
[19:56]that path is who is going to be the connector the bond
[19:58]between Allah who I cannot see who I can't hear who I
[20:04]am not connected with in a level in a way that I
[20:07]would want in a in a direct way how am I supposed
[20:11]to connect with Allah through the only way is through a prophet
[20:15]through a messenger through someone who is the ambassador of Allah and
[20:21]those are the prophets and the Hadith he narrates from Imam meaning
[20:37]a person who does not believe in God he asks the Imam
[20:41]how do I prove the prophets and The Messengers so the Imam
[20:44]he says [Music] once we prove that we have a creator and
[20:54]and here's the the maker but he is we he is not
[20:59]limited like us so God is not limited to space and time
[21:04]and place therefore I can't see God if God if I were
[21:06]to able to see God that means god is limited in space
[21:10]if I were to be able to to speak to God God
[21:14]would be limited to time to space to place all of these
[21:16]things but we know that Allah is not limited so but we
[21:20]also know that he is the Creator and we know that he's
[21:25]the wise one he's the Hakeem he's the knowledgeable and he has
[21:29]expectations from us and he does not do Injustice so therefore we
[21:30]know that there has to be a bond between God and us
[21:33]clear so here who are the bonds because I can't connect with
[21:42]God because God is not limited God is not in a place
[21:47]God is not in a time and God is not speaking to
[21:48]me directly so there has to be someone that Allah speaks to
[21:55]that is the bond with us how does Allah speak to people
[21:58]the verse in Surah uh verse 51 of ashara says God does
[22:23]not speak God does not speak to a human being except either
[22:29]through a revelation or there's a hijab there's a veil and Allah
[22:35]speaks to the person through that well like for example sends the
[22:47]angels that the Angels they come and they tell the prophets so
[22:50]this is how Allah speaks to people we cannot we cannot speak
[22:55]directly to Allah even Prophet Musa Allah but how did Musa speak
[23:03]to Allah so Allah would create sound just like right now you
[23:09]hear the lightning you hear the thunder you hear you hear the
[23:12]sounds this sound God would create it and he would speak to
[23:17]Musa through that way Allah would not speak directly to Prophet Musa
[23:20]Allah the verse says in the Quran God does not speak directly
[23:26]to a human because if God is speaking directly to someone then
[23:31]that would mean God is limited yes also a sound was created
[23:40]a sound was created Allah does not does not speak in the
[23:46]way you and I speak where I'm projecting a voice that's coming
[23:48]to you from me even when when Allah when Musa would hear
[23:53]God speaking to him the sound was was coming from all around
[23:55]him he was it was coming from all around him Allah would
[24:00]create that sound because the moment we say God the voice was
[24:02]coming from one particular direction then that means we would be limiting
[24:07]God would be limiting Allah to a body to a location to
[24:10]a time to a place and Allah is not limited so we
[24:14]said the first reason is the grace the second reason is the
[24:18]Justice the third reason is to have a bond with Allah and
[24:22]another reason why Allah sent prophets and Messengers is because of his
[24:27]guidance the guidance of Allah now yes Allah did create me and
[24:35]did put the internal navigation system within one of every single one
[24:39]of us what is that called Allah created us we all have
[24:46]that fitra but over time that fitra does not see clearly anymore
[24:50]just like a window when you're driving for such a long time
[24:55]the window gets dirty and dirty and dirty it gets distorted until
[24:58]you're not going to be able to see the reality anymore this
[25:03]Dunya distorts our perspective the running after the wealth running after desires
[25:10]power all of these things different ideas here and there you start
[25:15]turning away from the Fatal but the Hadith says every person is
[25:20]born as a Muslim Muslim what does Muslim mean submit to God
[25:26]Muslim doesn't mean when Allah says Ibrahim was not a Jew or
[25:33]a Christian but he was a Muslim it doesn't mean that he
[25:37]was a Muslim in the sense that we are right now follower
[25:40]Muslim means submitting to Allah total submission to Allah so everyone is
[25:46]born as a Muslim but over time they turn away their their
[25:51]prospective gets distorted so here is the job of the prophets to
[25:58]come and guide people to come and show people the way he
[26:02]says Allah Sent His prophets and his Messengers foreign he says the
[26:33]job of the prophets it's not to create a new concept some
[26:38]people they come and they say the prophets are creating something new
[26:41]no they're not creating something new the prophet his his job is
[26:45]to just bring you back to your original state you come and
[26:50]you push the reset button you push the reset button so that
[26:52]you're you go back to your fitra go back to your pure
[26:57]self so that you could be able to see clearly this is
[27:00]the job of the prophets this is what they do uh he
[27:04]says they do admonishments and they bring out what is buried within
[27:13]the intellect is buried in it there are certain things right and
[27:22]wrong and belief in God and finding the truth that's buried within
[27:25]every single one of us the job of the prophets is to
[27:28]come and bring that out this is why Allah keeps telling rasulullah
[27:33]and the Quran your job is to just remind the prophet has
[27:42]to just give you just have to remind people your job is
[27:47]not to force people to be guided so this is where the
[27:49]job of the prophets to guide people back to morality and although
[27:57]we all have a sense of moral compass that guides us to
[28:00]the truth that guides us to morality but some people their Compass
[28:02]is distorted their Compass doesn't work anymore why because of for the
[28:09]sake of money it's compromised for the sake of sexuality for the
[28:13]sake of power people are willing to do many things people are
[28:15]willing to deviate away from the truth for the sake of these
[28:21]things this is the job of the prophets to guide people back
[28:23]to the truth and to strengthen the intellect okay so any question
[28:31]regarding what has been said so far yes yes mean you know
[29:05]through these teachings and all of a sudden I I didn't mean
[29:11]yes so Allah guides me through the prophets but also Allah has
[29:15]a specific way that he wants me to worship Him he told
[29:23]Allah don't allow me excuse me from worship from prostrating to Adam
[29:27]and I will worship you in a way that no one has
[29:29]worshiped you before what does Allah tell him Allah tells him worship
[29:36]me the way I want to be worshiped not the way you
[29:39]want to worship the problem is we there's a specific way and
[29:49]that is the Sarat that the Quran tells us there is the
[29:54]Surah that the prophets tell us so just like a college application
[29:56]you might be the most qualified student you might be a genius
[30:00]you might be the smartest student you come and you tell them
[30:05]please accept me I'm the smartest student they tell you no you
[30:07]have to go and fill out this form and this form and
[30:10]you need this letter of recommendation and you need this and you
[30:12]need this there's a specific way same with getting Allah getting closer
[30:15]to Allah there's a specific way how do we know the specific
[30:19]way through the Ambia and the rasul and the imams is that
[30:22]okay so now we proved the necessity of a prophet the before
[30:28]we even mentioned any Hadith any narration any verse in the Quran
[30:31]proves the necessity of a prophet if you believe in God to
[30:36]be just compassionate and merciful then these these features will bring you
[30:41]to accept us now another very important point which we will um
[30:46]later on we will talk about it when we talk about the
[30:51]Imam is that there has to always be a job Allah on
[30:57]Earth so after before rasulullah there were prophets and Messengers from the
[31:02]time of Jesus unto rasola there were prophets after rasulullah who's the
[31:07]representative of God on Earth so here's the difference here some people
[31:13]they come and they tell you that's it there's no more but
[31:18]this will go against the principles of faith you you so to
[31:22]believe in the willia of Imam Ali you don't need a Hadith
[31:26]or you don't need Hadith you don't need Quran you need to
[31:29]have believed in the necessity of God sending a Divine representative if
[31:33]you believed in that then you have to believe that there must
[31:36]be a Divine representative after rasulallah there must be a Divine representative
[31:41]after uh even now there has to be a Divine representative otherwise
[31:46]what happened how did we the sunnis and the shias they both
[31:52]used these principles to prove the necessity of having a prophet so
[31:55]when you applied it to the prophet how are you not applying
[31:59]it right now after the prophet there has to be a Divine
[32:01]and we have several Hadith if there was no then what's the
[32:10]purpose of life continuing what's the purpose there's no proof of God
[32:13]on Earth there's no reason for life to continue because someone could
[32:18]come and say you you you put us on Earth but there
[32:21]was no proof of God now when we talk about Matthew someone
[32:26]could come and say well I'm not connected with directly with Imam
[32:29]and Matthew right now you think you're not connected with Imam but
[32:32]there is a strong relationship and benefit that you have from the
[32:37]Imam just like you benefit from the Sun on a cloudy day
[32:39]according to the Hadith of the Imam himself so this principle that
[32:44]there has to be a Divine representative at all times this is
[32:50]even accepted in Sunni some Sunni Scholars for example there is Lucy
[32:54]a a scholar of uh tafsir of the qurani he says there's
[33:01]no point in continuation of life without a Divine representative if there's
[33:06]no representative of God then what's the point of life continuing there
[33:10]has to always be a Hajj of Allah so that life continues
[33:16]now when we when we move on to prove the Imam and
[33:21]talk about Imam we're going to focus more on this but just
[33:23]because we're establishing it we want to prove that there has to
[33:25]always be a Hajj of Allah now when a man comes and
[33:30]he says I'm a prophet of Allah how do I know he's
[33:36]a prophet of Allah Miracle this is number one so they say
[33:39]that there are two proofs for a person to prove that they're
[33:45]a prophet because we prove the necessity of a prophet now how
[33:48]do I prove that there is a prophet one is that there
[33:52]has to be a miracle that's number one and second there needs
[33:55]to be a collection of Clues and indicators which would suggest that
[34:02]this person is truthful so right so for example Maybe the prophet
[34:06]before him may be the leader before him he comes and he
[34:10]says this person is after me so since the prophethood of the
[34:14]original Prophet has been proven if he says that this Prophet after
[34:19]me is the prophet or this man after me is the Imam
[34:21]then we would accept that but let's go to the Miracles the
[34:26]first we said there has to be Miracles so all prophets they
[34:31]came with miracles what was the miracle of prophet Musa Prophet Musa
[34:40]had nine signs nine signs Allah mentions in the Quran but when
[34:44]Allah he saw him with two signs which ones were they the
[34:53]hand and what the Assad the cane the cane turns into a
[34:57]snake when he spoke with him in in and and and the
[35:03]second is that the hand he Allah tells them bring your hand
[35:08]out and it will be white without an illness and then there
[35:11]were many other there were many other signs that Allah sent Prophet
[35:16]Musa Prophet ayesa what were some of the Miracles of Asa curing
[35:21]of the ill raising the dead he would be able to tell
[35:25]them what they hide in their homes and what they have in
[35:27]their homes so he had the knowledge Ibrahim he was not burnt
[35:32]by the fire this is one of them now they have many
[35:35]just the Quran mentioned some what is the miracle of rasulullah the
[35:42]Holy Quran of course we believe that the prophet some Scholars they
[35:47]say that rasulullah he had the Miracles of all the prophets he
[35:50]was able like many things happened in the life of the Prophet
[35:53]but all of these things we don't talk about them much we
[35:58]talk about one miracle and that is the greatest Miracle which is
[36:02]the Holy Quran why why is it that we don't talk about
[36:07]the other miracles of the prophet and we only focus on the
[36:12]Quran it's the biggest but why is it the biggest there's a
[36:16]reason that the miracle of the Quran is different than the miracle
[36:20]of Asad and the Miracle of musad and the Miracle of Ibrahim
[36:24]and all the prophet yes words so that was how the Quran
[36:33]was proven to be a miracle but why is it the greatest
[36:34]until today exactly all the Miracles Musa he split the sea Musa
[36:43]he threw his Cane his staff it turned into a turned into
[36:49]a snake how do I know that I know that through the
[36:53]Quran how do I know the Quran is a miracle because the
[36:55]Quran is with me today I read the Quran and you could
[36:59]see the the miracle the living of that the Quran is a
[37:04]living Miracle until today and this is what makes the miracle of
[37:07]the Quran different from all other Miracles the sun turned back according
[37:15]or according to you know some narrations the Moon the Moon did
[37:19]things split the moon the Hasa was doing to speak there's so
[37:22]many things that happened for rasulullah we don't mention those very much
[37:25]because how am I going to prove those how right now how
[37:30]can I prove that Jesus how can a Christian person prove to
[37:35]me that Jesus raised the dead they can't they can't prove it
[37:40]anymore and we come and we tell them the Quran that you
[37:42]talk about not all Christians but those who criticize the Quran that
[37:45]you talk about proves that Jesus was used to raise the dead
[37:48]and this is why we believe in that the Quran that you
[37:50]talk about proves that Jesus he was born from a virgin birth
[37:54]this is why we respect the Quran so the Quran in itself
[37:57]is a living miracle and this is what makes it the greatest
[38:02]how is the Quran a miracle because I will go through this
[38:05]quickly because it did certain things that people would not be able
[38:11]to do and there's a Hadith from the Imam he says that
[38:15]Allah sent Prophet Musa with something that resembles magic because during the
[38:21]time of prophet Musa magic was very relevant magic was something that
[38:26]was very common this is why when when Musa confronted for aoun
[38:29]tells him I'm going to bring all the magicians he brought all
[38:34]The Magicians Isa came with medicine because during the time of Isa
[38:42]medicine was something that was common it was something that was practiced
[38:44]at that time it wasn't as sophisticated as it is now but
[38:48]it was something that was practiced he came with something that even
[38:52]the biggest doctors they could not achieve where he would be able
[38:56]to raise a dead person he would be able to cure the
[38:57]blind he will be able to cure the person with Leprosy during
[39:02]the time of rasulullah what was very common was poetry and they
[39:07]were very proud of their oratory skills Suddenly rasulullah at the age
[39:12]of 40 he comes and he starts reciting something that no one
[39:17]was able to copy no one was able to bring anything like
[39:19]until today no one is able to replicate the Quran you know
[39:23]it's very easy to replicate something but no one was able to
[39:27]replicate the Quran and that's why Allah says you say he made
[39:35]it up go and bring 10 10 chapters and you may come
[39:38]up and tell us it's made up these guys were top they
[39:44]were top in poetry they had on the Kappa hanging they had
[39:48]they had po words upon that were hanging on the Kaaba but
[39:52]the Quran is not poetry this is why they tried to accuse
[39:55]the prophet was saying they called him a poet the Quran comes
[40:04]it says they said he's a poet we'll wait for him to
[40:08]die tell them I am also waiting to die it comes in
[40:13]a way where where even it mesmerized the top minds of the
[40:17]time then later on the Quran says you this you say you
[40:25]guys say he made it up come and bring one Surah one
[40:30]Surah like the Quran and you come and you you try to
[40:33]repeat it finally they were not able to they keep saying he's
[40:36]mating he's making it up but they were not able to replicate
[40:42]it then finally Allah says if the Jinn and the human they
[40:55]come together combine combine their powers to make something like the Quran
[40:57]they would not be able to even if they're working together so
[41:00]the Quran is a miracle in many aspects it would take us
[41:05]a much longer time to sit and talk about how the Quran
[41:07]is a miracle from one aspect it's a linguistic Miracle the language
[41:11]of the Quran this is why we insist on recitation and the
[41:16]prayer what language do you have to recite the Quran in Arabic
[41:20]and there's a debate among Scholars as a translated the Quran actually
[41:25]the Quran right now someone translates the Quran into English is that
[41:29]the actual Quran no it's not that's a commentary of the Quran
[41:33]yes you get talab you get reward for comprehending trying to learn
[41:39]but if you want to read the Quran you have to read
[41:40]it in Arabic this is why in the Salah it's read in
[41:44]Arabic now you could read it in another language if you don't
[41:47]speak Arabic but the Salah has to be recited in Arabic now
[41:53]why is that such a big deal because he was never educated
[41:59]in reading and writing for 40 years there's no recorded sermon of
[42:06]the Prophet there's no recorded speech of the Prophet there's no poem
[42:10]of the Prophet even his marriage with Khadijah it was done by
[42:14]his uncle Abu Talib Suddenly at the age of 40 he comes
[42:22][Music] these verses that were so great that mesmerized the minds of
[42:30]the greatest Poets of the time and the greatest of those who
[42:33]are in Arabic Allah says you never used to read or write
[42:44]before this if you did read or write then people would use
[42:49]that against you rasulullah never read or write or a role now
[42:54]here the prophet was taught by Allah so after that Allah gave
[43:01]him the knowledge and we don't call the prophet because some people
[43:04]they come and they Define the word um as the illiterate Prophet
[43:09]we say that is wrong that's a disrespectful derogatory uh term to
[43:14]use to the Prophet The Prophet was the Allah was the teacher
[43:20]of the Prophet but the prophet didn't learn Like You and I
[43:23]by going to school another they used to come and say that
[43:27]he is taking the Quran from the Christians and from the Jews
[43:33]and these rabbis and these others who are in the area so
[43:35]Allah says in the Quran we know that they say he's being
[43:46]taught from a Bashar from a human and then Allah says if
[43:56]I were to copy from someone who's a non-arab meaning the Christians
[44:02]and the Jews am I going to copy in the perfect Arabic
[44:06]way or am I going to also have errors in the way
[44:08]I copy there's going to be errors Allah says in the Quran
[44:14]they say that you're copying it from others but those others they
[44:17]don't speak Arabic how are you coming and speaking this eloquent Arabic
[44:20]that even the top Arabic Scholars and Arabic poets and experts in
[44:27]the language they they are mesmerized with other dialect language is ajami
[44:36]it's non-arab wahada and this is clear Arabic language so this is
[44:42]one another reason why the Quran is a miracle is because it
[44:47]spoke about events of the past it spoke about events of the
[44:50]present events of the future and I spoke about certain things for
[44:57]example the the um the Chris the quraish the people of Christ
[45:02]they go and they seek out some of the Jewish Scholars they
[45:05]tell they tell them what should we ask him to know if
[45:10]he's really a prophet or not so they tell them ask him
[45:12]about a group of people that slept for a long time no
[45:17]they didn't they never they didn't know about it ask them ask
[45:20]him about a man who conquered the East and the west and
[45:26]asked him about the rule and the Hadith says if he's able
[45:33]to answer to and does not answer one about the ruach he's
[45:36]a prophet so they come and they ask rasulullah they ask him
[45:39]the Hadith says he says I have to wait for Hawaii and
[45:44]this is a sign that he's a prophet he waited for a
[45:48]long time that he didn't come if he would have answered right
[45:54]away then that shows that he might be making it up or
[45:57]something Allah did not send down the wahi days passed and it
[46:02]made made rasulullah be uncomfortable because they asked him a question and
[46:05]he didn't have the answer he says I have to wait I
[46:09]don't I don't know it I'm waiting for the the answer to
[46:11]come from Allah so then was revealed Surat was revealed speaking about
[46:18]the Dwellers of the cave speaking about who conquered the East and
[46:25]the west and the the whereas they ask you about what do
[46:30]you say we don't have that knowledge he spoke about the the
[46:43]future things concerning the future the Quran speaks about it there was
[46:48]a battle going on while the Muslims are in Arabia at the
[46:53]same time as rasulullah there's a battle between the Roman and the
[46:57]Persian Empire what happens the Romans they were defeated but they're going
[47:09]to defeat the Persians they used to consider around seven years and
[47:17]exactly seven years after this verse was revealed the the Romans defeated
[47:23]the Persians this is something that the Quran foretold there are technical
[47:26]miracles in the Quran we've mentioned this the gravity the ozone layer
[47:32]gender determination orbit of the sun embryonic development the rotation of the
[47:35]Moon and the Sun this is all you could find you could
[47:37]Google them you could find these in in books that talk about
[47:41]this and another very important point is that the Quran is independent
[47:45]from meaning the prophet is dead you read the Quran right now
[47:48]and you could still believe in the prophet because you believe in
[47:51]the Quran and because we believe in the Quran we believe in
[47:56]Musa and Risa and new and Ibrahim and all of the other
[47:58]prophets so this is one reason why you accept the prophet through
[48:02]a miracle and the greatest Miracle of rasulullah is the Quran any
[48:06]questions yes so that then started to many communities right yes so
[48:20]Allah why did the question is why did Allah send rasulullah to
[48:26]speak in the Arabic language and to the Arabs only if he
[48:29]would have sent him to the Persians the Arabs would have said
[48:32]why did he send him to the Persian if you were absentence
[48:34]in India people were upset why in India why not here at
[48:39]the end of the day Allah says in the Quran that prophets
[48:40]had been sent to other people but in quraish and that that
[48:47]group of people there has there had never been a prophet from
[48:51]them so this was what Allah sent to them so this this
[48:58]question would arise if he would have if the prophet were to
[49:02]be sent anywhere but the the thing is Islam is not a
[49:05]religion and the Quran is not a book only for the Arab
[49:10]it's a universal religion it's like right now for example Judaism they
[49:13]say you have to be born into Judaism or there is Hinduism
[49:18]which is Hindu like in India it's it's there's a even by
[49:20]the name but um Islam is a universal religion yes the language
[49:26]is in Arabic it just happened to be so that the language
[49:28]was in Arabic and perhaps it's because maybe the Arabic language is
[49:33]very um probably eloquent there's many words that could be used it's
[49:40]poetic so there's a there's a philosophy behind it there's a reason
[49:43]behind it that Allah sent it in that language but this this
[49:46]uh misconception if he were to be sent in the Roman language
[49:52]people would say why Roman why not this at the end of
[49:56]the day it's still a universal religion but it's just the language
[50:00]was sent for the Arabs yes or or in Arabic the other
[50:05]uh the other um points we said first the prophet needs to
[50:10]come with Miracle second Clues indicators to suggest that he's truthful for
[50:15]example the personality of a person the personality of rasulullah indicates that
[50:19]he was a honest truthful person or someone before him appointing him
[50:24]someone has prophesied his prophethood was the prophethood of rasulullah prophesies before
[50:30]him by who by Isa with color is Isa he said there's
[50:52]going to be a private after me his name is Ahmad once
[50:54]rasulullah came some accepted and some rejected and this is why why
[51:00]were there Jews and Christians living in the Arabian peninsula they were
[51:06]waiting for rasulallah and Allah says and the signs in the taurat
[51:21]and in the injeel what are they when so this is these
[51:34]are some of the signs this is why Allah says in the
[51:39]Quran that the Jews and the Christians those who are living around
[51:42]the Arabian Peninsula they knew very well the signs of rasulullah they
[51:54]know him rasulullah so well just like they know their kids just
[52:00]like right now how we sit and we talk about when Imam
[52:01]Almighty comes this is his description he has something on his face
[52:04]here he has this he has that this this is all mentioned
[52:08]the scholars they know this so that when they see him they're
[52:11]going to say this is the Imam according to our books the
[52:15]signs of rasulullah were all there there were many indicators of rasulullah
[52:19]so here every Prophet needs to either have a miracle or there's
[52:23]a prophet before him that comes and prophesizes and this does not
[52:26]only apply to the Prophet this applies to the Imam Imam Ali
[52:31]he didn't have a miracle in the sense of like the Miracles
[52:36]of rasulullah or the miracle of the of the karamats he had
[52:40]many things that were different they could be considered Miracles actually but
[52:47]um why do we believe in the Imam of Imam Ali the
[52:50]biggest proof do we go to Miracle or do we say the
[52:55]rasulullah said he's the Imam after me the Quran said is the
[52:57]Imam after me so this is this is um this is how
[53:02]we know someone is a Divine representative of Allah now inshallah in
[53:07]the next session we will talk about some of the signs of
[53:10]the prophets and the and the Divine representative the infallibility the knowledge
[53:17]of the Unseen the the knowledge in itself things that distinguish a
[53:23]Divine representative someone who's connected with Allah versus everyone else
