[2:15]of muham second Lou of in honor of IM [Music] third with

[2:34]your loudest voices in honor of the IM of our time IM

[2:46]respected Scholars brothers and sisters why are the Shia a minority why

[2:59]are the Shia a minority in the Muslim world is a question

[3:05]that has been asked by many both within the school and outside

[3:09]of the school if shiaism was the correct path or is the

[3:13]correct path to the Lord then why is it when one looks

[3:19]at the population of Muslims in the world today the Shia are

[3:22]a minority when one looks at the population of the Muslims in

[3:27]the world today we find that there are in and around two

[3:31]billion Muslims in the world 90% or so of those two billion

[3:37]are known as Sunni Muslims and 10% are known as Shia Muslims

[3:44]give or take in certain studies where you may find 5% for

[3:50]example sometimes the studies will show that 85% of the Muslim world

[3:56]are Sunni Muslims and 15% of the musl Muslim world are sh

[4:03]when we come therefore and look at the sh you'll find that

[4:07]they number how many they number in and around if someone does

[4:11]their maths 200 million Muslims that 200 million Muslims is a great

[4:16]number as in when one mentions 200 million that's not a simple

[4:22]number to be mentioned but in contrast to the Sunni world you

[4:26]find that that is seen as a very minor number when when

[4:31]you even look at the countries in the majority Muslim world today

[4:38]you'll find that arguably the main sixs are Sunni majority for example

[4:43]at the helm as the country with the greatest population of Muslims

[4:48]is Indonesia Indonesia has the most Muslims in the world over 210

[4:54]million Muslims after Indonesia you go towards Pakistan and India who have

[5:04]an unbelievable number of Muslims and then Bangladesh Nigeria and Egypt these

[5:11]are normally seen as the six countries with the most Muslims in

[5:14]the world those six countries nobody ever Associates with a Shia majority

[5:20]as in Indonesia you'll hardly find a Shia Community let alone a

[5:25]Shia majority when you come for example to Bangladesh it's the same

[5:34]story you come to Egypt it's the same story therefore someone asked

[5:38]the question that clearly because of these numbers Sunni Islam must be

[5:44]the right way because Sunni Islam has people over the billion these

[5:49]people cannot all be wrong in what they follow at the end

[5:54]of the day when you see over a billion people going in

[5:56]One Direction and you see a couple of hundred million going in

[6:02]the other direction surely you should go with the majority if you

[6:06]see the majority of the Muslims in the world today are Sunni

[6:09]Muslims then how can one be confident of staying on their path

[6:16]or of remaining sh even at the same time someone asked this

[6:20]question within the sh school that why is it shiism is not

[6:22]the majority if I have the of and I have these M

[6:32]within the school who are meant to be the highest figures then

[6:35]why is it that we have such a basic population within the

[6:41]Muslim world number of factors of course could emerge on this issue

[6:46]but this argument is always used as then when one looks online

[6:49]you'll find that when someone wants to highlight that shiaism is the

[6:53]wrong path or that shiaism is deviated or that shiaism is not

[6:59]the path of Allah they say look how many of you there

[7:04]are divisions of course in the Sunni World there are number of

[7:07]schools of thought a number of schools of law you will find

[7:13]in the schools of thought Hani and Maliki and sha and H

[7:15]and you'll find in the schools of law in the schools of

[7:20]law you will see all of these four schools and in the

[7:26]schools of thought you'll see M and and and other schools that

[7:29]have emerged but but generally speaking they are seen as Sunni in

[7:33]the Shia we have the zis the Isis who are of course

[7:40]divided into two the bhra and theis the naris and then you

[7:44]have the the twers when you divide all of them you'll still

[7:50]find that there is a huge difference between Sunni and Shia that

[7:54]in the Sunni World a billion and more and in the Shia

[8:01]World 200 100 million is that because shiaism is not correct is

[8:05]that because we have not done enough for shm is that because

[8:11]there is a difference in worldview of the two which seems to

[8:15]be a lot more appreciated by one other than the other let

[8:21]us tonight examine this question that why are Shia a minority in

[8:26]the Muslim world and does this mean that shiaism is a false

[8:29]School of Islam or on the contrary according to the verses of

[8:36]the Quran maybe those who are a minority are those who always

[8:38]are the ones holding on to the truth I'd like to examine

[8:43]this in the following stages number one what's the first answer that

[8:47]you give a Muslim who tells you because you are a minority

[8:50]that means you're not on the path of God number two in

[8:56]the Quran which prophets of Allah died with a minority of believer

[9:01]with them but because they had a small number did that mean

[9:04]they weren't on the path of Allah subhana wa ta'ala number three

[9:10]which prophet only had himself and no one else in the community

[9:15]number four how didas highlight that even I the prophet of God

[9:20]only have a small number following me in Mecca but did that

[9:26]mean that Islam was false number five are prophets good speakers are

[9:30]they good lecturers or are they not good at lecturing and if

[9:34]they are good speakers what does that show you when a person

[9:40]is deaf dumb and blind to even the one who is the

[9:42]most eloquent number six how does play a role in Indonesia in

[9:50]Egypt in Morocco in Pakistan where when a sh lives around animals

[9:54]you have to make sure that you protect yourself number seven when

[9:59]it comes to being minority is that necessarily a problem when it

[10:04]comes to the events of Islamic history and which events in Islamic

[10:08]history was there a minority of people but still that Minority was

[10:18]a minority that remained steadfast on the path of Allah subhana wa

[10:22]ta'ala and finally in carala how many were on this side how

[10:25]many were on that side and how many were the ones who

[10:29]were on the path of Allah let's examine this and dissect the

[10:35]topic in complete depth when a person says the fact that the

[10:37]Shia Muslims are only 10 15% of the Muslim world that means

[10:43]that they are false and they are deviant and they are not

[10:46]on the path the first answer to give them is how do

[10:50]you answer those who say that Muslims are a minority on the

[10:52]Earth today what do I mean how many people are there in

[10:57]the world today 7 billion how many are Muslim two billion by

[11:01]your logic Islam is not the religion of God why because you

[11:08]said that the majority is the path of God and the minority

[11:11]is not the path of God in the world today There's 7

[11:17]billion people there's Christians there's Jews there's Hindus there's siks there's Buddhists

[11:22]there's atheists there's agnostic is the majority of this world Muslim or

[11:27]non-muslim majority of this world that we live in are non-muslims that

[11:35]means Muslims are what Muslims are a minority if being a minority

[11:37]shows you're not on the path of truth then explain that one

[11:40]to the non-muslim because the non-muslim could easily come to me today

[11:45]and say to me that you Muslims are not on the path

[11:47]of Truth I'll say to them why say because look at you

[11:51]you're a minority in the world if God's religion is your religion

[11:54]then why are you not the majority in the world Why is

[12:01]the majority of the world not Muslim how many there are in

[12:03]the world today who are Christians they're not Muslim maybe there are

[12:07]Christians more than Muslims does that mean that Christianity is the path

[12:11]of God and Islam isn't on the first level when a person

[12:17]comes and tells you that the majority are on H the first

[12:20]answer to give those people is what is that Islam is not

[12:26]the majority of the world but then we believe Islam is on

[12:30]H if today's someone came to you and said that you Muslims

[12:32]are only making up 25% of the world that means your Muhammad

[12:35]and your Quran are all false what would you reply you'd reply

[12:41]by saying you don't need to be the majority as long as

[12:43]you are able to prove your beliefs properly that is all that

[12:50]is required if I am confident in my theology in my worldview

[12:53]then why should I worry if the majority of the world does

[12:58]not follow what I follow the majority of the world may have

[13:01]not even heard about Islam so you can't even judge them on

[13:05]that level there are still people in certain parts of the world

[13:08]who have not heard about Islam there are others who've heard about

[13:12]Islam but they've seen an Islam that is far away from the

[13:19]message of imagine I'm a non-muslim and I woke up to 911

[13:22]that's a beautiful Islam I want to join isn't it I see

[13:28]what's happening in 9/11 and I want to join no if if

[13:30]I'm a non-muslim and I woke up to Isis would I join

[13:34]that Islam or no no if I'm a non-muslim and I woke

[13:38]up to Islam in certain parts of the UK where the Muslim

[13:41]rude boy walks in the street like he wants to fight everybody

[13:45]would I join that Islam or no no of course I wouldn't

[13:47]because that Islam is far from the teachings of Al for me

[13:54]when I look at a non-muslim if they use that logic that

[13:58]some of the Sun uses against the Shia that because you're a

[14:03]minority you canot be the truth then that puts Islam in danger

[14:05]because Islam is not the majority of the world a non-muslim if

[14:12]they use that argument I have to be able to reply and

[14:14]my reply is simple that I don't need to be a part

[14:19]of the majority the majority for all I know they are entitled

[14:22]to their beliefs I cannot force my beliefs on theirs they may

[14:27]not believe in certain things because of their for fathers how many

[14:31]of you met who are Christian because their dad's Christian how many

[14:35]they're Christian because their dad's Christian how many of you met who

[14:39]are Jewish because their dad is Jewish they're Hindu because their dad

[14:43]is Hindu do you think that I then care if the majority

[14:47]of that group of people are not Muslim I don't care because

[14:50]if that person has decided to stagnate their intellect then let them

[14:55]stay where they are why would I want to be part of

[14:59]a group of for people which is the majority but they're stubborn

[15:04]in their thinking they're not introspective they're not reflective rather I'd prefer

[15:08]to be with the minority but a minority that is constantly reflecting

[15:14]on themselves and that's why when you look in the Quran someone

[15:18]who tells you the majority are on you look in the Quran

[15:20]you'll find many times it's the minority that are on H not

[15:26]the majority someone says where the first example in the Quran where

[15:30]the minority were on H while the majority were on B was

[15:37]the story of preached to his people for how many years for

[15:43]950 years imagine giving majalis some of us given majalis for 25

[15:47]years and we have white hair and a beard and gray and

[15:52]everything imagine 950 years of having to deal with people and their

[15:56]thoughts and their opinions and their sentiments na gave lectures for 950

[16:13]them from idol worship towards the path of Allah subhana wa ta'ala

[16:45]many people do you think had joined the path of boarded the

[21:47]I'm a minority you think that because there's that many of them

[27:32]if the logic is when a group of people are a minority

[27:37]that means they are and if a group of people are the

[27:39]majority they are how do you explain Allah's first 13 years as

[27:45]a prophet of God and that's why the Quran kept on revealing

[27:47]verses to the prophet saying to him that the majority you will

[27:55]never find them on the path of Allah subhana wa ta'ala do

[27:57]you know if you were to type in the Quran you know

[28:01]in the Arabic just type one word I want you to see

[28:06]how many verses come up which word means what and most of

[28:12]them is repeated so many times in the Quran that it completely

[28:20]rejects the idea that Minority is on the wrong path rather it

[28:24]comes with the idea that what that the majority are the ones

[28:29]on the the wrong path type in the Quran number one many

[28:35]of them do not think the majority of them do not think

[28:43]number two the majority of them are ignorant majority do not think

[28:48]majority are ignorant the majority of them are liars yes and you

[28:59]will find the majority of them are what are transgressors and they

[29:03]are sinners you will find the majority of them when H is

[29:13]presented to them are rejectors of that and they hate that HCK

[29:16]that comes to them notice how the Quran shows that the majority

[29:22]is the ones who are on the wrong path it's the minority

[30:50]the contrary you'll find that the majority of them the Quran says

[30:56]they are like cattle no they are even worse hear this a

[31:06]prophets of Allah subhah waala you're right the majority did not follow

[31:10]n no problem but they were mush and ibraim the majority did

[31:20]not follow him you're right but they were mush and at the

[31:25]beginning of Islam the majority not follow him but they want mush

[31:29]they say you right but they say but Muslim Muslim is a

[31:36]different story they say the examples that I'm giving is that the

[31:41]majority of the mushriks did not follow Islam they say but when

[31:46]it comes to Islam within Islam then surely the majority are right

[31:53]even within Islam you'll find that on many occasions it was the

[31:58]minority that were loyal to him and the majority who stabbed him

[32:04]in the back what do I mean the Battle of there were

[32:06]Muslims fighting with Al or no weren't there Muslims on his side

[32:13]how many Muslims were on his side on the day of this

[32:15]is a vital Point why because this shows internally within Islam the

[32:20]minority are the ones on H and the majority are ready to

[32:25]run run run and the Battle of how many were on the

[36:52]the reality was what that for us the minority was always there
