[0:23]assalamualaikum warahmatullahi wabarakatuh we continue our examination of the first sermon and

[0:28]natural balala previously we examined the creation of the universe the Imam

[0:38]Ali Salim vividly describes how Allah subhana WA Ta'ala formed the universe

[0:50]in its initial stages in the next section in this sermon which

[0:54]is on page 67 of the book the imam ali salam talks

[0:59]about one of the most important creations of Allah who are the

[1:05]angels the Imam Ali Saran dedicates some time to examining the creation

[1:12]of the angels so the Imam Hani Salaam states from Fatah ,

[1:22]Baena Samaha to lola family ahuna at warren men'll malacca it seems

[1:28]that right after God created space and this universe the first thing

[1:34]that he created was angels Allah Subhanahu WA Ta'ala filled the universe

[1:42]with his angels the first intelligent creation of God was the creation

[2:01]quran states that one of the attributes one of the signs of

[2:04]the believers is that they believe in the angels of god a

[3:44]nothing but goodness oftentimes when people look at corruption and evil on

[3:49]earth they say why couldn't God have created us good why did

[3:52]he create it create us with the tendency to do bad the

[3:58]tendency to commit evil acts couldn't have God created all human beings

[4:02]good all this evil in the world and the universe you have

[4:05]to remember that the vast majority of the universe is nothing what

[4:11]goodness nothing but the laws of God being executed and the most

[4:15]abundant creation of God is angels and angels are nothing but pure

[4:19]good creations of God in fact evil of the universe is the

[4:26]exception 99.99 9% of the universe is good there's only some evil

[4:32]on a little planet called Earth with some humans and jinns that's

[4:39]it you know oftentimes oftentimes when you see global events and Wars

[4:43]and corruption and problems sometimes we kind of lose hope and we

[4:46]feel as if God is being overpowered happy what's the value of

[4:49]this little planet called Earth and this huge huge universe the entire

[4:55]universe is worshipping Allah every cell according to the Quran is worshipping

[5:01]bad god because everything has some perception it's only some humans and

[5:06]some gems who disobey God and spread corruption and evil so the

[5:15]vast majority of God's creation is absolute goodness now the reason why

[5:20]a last planet Allah gave the human being the tendency to sin

[5:22]and to deviate is because allah subhana wa ta'ala wanted a creation

[5:30]who's potentially higher than the angels and the only way to achieve

[5:35]that is to create a being give them the intellect show them

[5:40]good and then show them bad and evil and give them the

[5:48]free will to choose and this is what's special about earth in

[5:52]all of this universe why is earth special why does Allah pay

[5:58]so much attention to the small little planet it's nothing compared to

[6:02]his universe nothing compared to the world of angels but why all

[6:07]this attention because the goodness that you find on planet Earth has

[6:13]more value than all the goodness of the universe why because the

[6:20]goodness on planet earth was done through free will that has valued

[6:25]the eyes of God angels have no choice but to be good

[6:30]there's no rule for evilness in them and that's valuable no problem

[6:33]but Allah wanted a creation that could potentially be higher than the

[6:39]Angels by choosing the good when you human when you willingly worship

[6:44]Allah that has more value in the eyes of God then an

[6:46]angel worshiping him because an angel has no other choice but you

[6:51]have a choice not to worship Allah but when you exercise your

[6:55]free will and your judgment and your intellect to worship God to

[7:00]do that which is good that's the greatest thing in the universe

[7:04]and that's what's the first special about the human beings and the

[7:16]gym they have that free will so if someone says on the

[7:22]day of judgement why didn't you create me an angel you know

[7:26]what could have happened you could have argued the other way if

[7:30]you were created an angel and then you see momineen higher than

[7:34]you on the day of judgment you said oh god why don't

[7:36]you create me a human so I have that opportunity and this

[7:40]is never-ending but the answer to that but the answer to that

[7:43]is Allah subhana WA Ta'ala on the day of judgement he'll reveal

[7:48]his wisdom he'll explain to us why he created you and so

[7:51]and so person and so and so person so we don't know

[7:55]why Allah created this person but there's wisdom behind this creation Allah

[7:58]will reveal that on the day of judgement Allah Allah Allah will

[8:02]have a response to them so but there is a reason why

[8:05]I last panel to Allah you know created you in this state

[8:10]and you were not some other creation and remember the Angels because

[8:16]they're so pure they also have the capacity for purity maybe that's

[8:20]one reason why Allah decided to make them angels and not some

[8:22]humans angels because Allah knew the capacity of this person but then

[13:44]of these men whom the imam describes those first category who worship

[14:32]Luna the third category is those who are soft food the words

[14:37]are food in Arabic has two meanings one meaning is to stand

[14:45]in like a perfect line where you're standing in an organized way

[14:49]like us human beings when you stand properly in one line that

[14:53]is called a stuff off or suff you know have you seen

[14:58]soldiers who stand in honor of their king they stand in one

[15:00]line to show their respect so some angels they're not prostrating they're

[15:06]not doing the record they're just standing showing their respect to the

[15:10]glory of Allah subhana WA Ta'ala and Imam Ali banana thought about

[16:28]symbolically the Quran says you know lower your wings of humility before

[16:35]your parents right because a bird when it feeds its young ones

[16:39]it opens its wings so that it could lower itself and feed

[16:43]them right so we have the same concept over here so the

[16:49]Angels basically are showing their utmost act of ibadah to Allah span

[16:54]Wattana that's the third type of those who worship and the fourth

[16:58]type of those angels whose only task is to worship Allah one

[17:01]was a balloon Elias a moon some RN a continuous state of

[17:17]and the reason is because there's no discretion distraction there's nothing that

[17:26]our acts of worship because of distractions because of desires and temptations

[17:31]but for these angels they don't have these desires they don't have

[17:35]these temptations so nothing distracts them they're permanently in state of test

[18:53]allah subhanaw taala states about prophet ibrahim ali salam when he achieved

[21:04]those video games from when you were young the company Atari gave

[21:06]him the or they had big games like huge games that you

[21:11]have to put in the I don't know the what do you

[21:12]call it console yes so they told him we'll give you they

[21:18]gave him a deadline they told him and Wozniak will give you

[21:20]$700 if you can reduce the size of the game the chip

[21:27]and the circuit in half because they were very big they wanted

[23:36]you get that energy from because you have a motive over here

[23:39]the motive for these angels is the glory of allah subhanho wa

[23:50]worship and they don't go through any you know stages where they

[23:59]feel weakened because the glory of Allah spano to Allah keeps them

[24:03]strong now it is beneficial for us my dear brothers and sisters

[24:06]to know that there are trillions and trillions and trillions of angels

[24:09]who are just worshiping it's a good reminder for us because it's

[24:14]very humbling you know sometimes when we worship we feel we do

[24:18]God a favor I saw that today in my prayers my other

[24:22]acts of about me realize there are billions of creations way before

[24:27]you were born who are not doing anything in their existence but

[24:31]worshiping Allah if your prayer counts it's because the last generous and

[24:36]he cares about you not because really you have something to offer

[24:39]Allah doesn't need your prayers the whole universe is worshipping Him he

[24:43]needs my prayer me this little creature on earth he needs my

[24:49]prayer he doesn't and we just keep that in mind this really

[24:52]humbles you secondly oftentimes when you live in a society that does

[25:00]not worship God that does not pray for instance you could be

[25:04]living in an atheist community in a society that does not worship

[25:07]Allah spano to Allah sometimes when you're the only one praying you

[25:12]kind of feel left out I am the abnormal one Here I

[25:18]am the anomaly everyone mainstream society is not worshiping when the Imam

[25:23]talks about these facts and realities he's reminding you know the one

[25:28]who's not worshiping he's the anomaly the whole universe is worshiping Allah

[25:32]and when you stand to worship God anywhere at home at work

[25:37]even on the airport even in the airport yes I know we

[25:52]anomaly they're going against the whole universe not you you're the believer

[26:03]allah subhanaw taala with billions and trillions of angels whose only task

[26:07]a stewardship Allah that should give us hope that actually should make

[26:11]you feel strong there are armies everywhere worshiping allah subhanaw taala armies

[26:16]of angels so don't feel a weekend a few people in your

[26:22]society don't worship God don't let that distract you yes of course

[26:28]you can always pray in a public area as long as a

[26:32]woman is dressed modestly and appropriately yes she can pray even if

[26:36]there are men present absolutely there is no restriction on that now

[26:40]there's an important discussion here about the Angels when the Imam talks

[26:45]about these positions of the Angels Roku sujood standing are these literal

[26:51]or are these symbolic what are the Angels look like anyway do

[26:55]they have bodies for them to do to constitute scholars have two

[27:00]primary opinions here one opinion of scholars state angels are physical beings

[27:09]they have material they're created from light as we shall examine but

[27:21]the material they're created from light is very light right it's not

[27:25]dense but in the end there are physical and they're bound to

[27:29]time and space the second group of scholars mainly philosophers their opinion

[27:37]is that the angels are magenta light they are immaterial therefore they're

[27:44]not bound to time and space they're above all of that they

[27:49]don't have any material in their essence they're completely immaterial some some

[27:54]philosophers believe in that the majority of our on the mountain scholars

[27:57]based on their understanding of the Quran and the hadith is that

[28:05]there is no immaterial creation besides allah subhanaw taala Allah is the

[28:08]only being who's not material every other thing in the universe is

[28:13]material so angels are in the ant physical creatures and if they're

[28:19]physical they can take different shapes so these positions that the Imam

[28:23]talks about many scholars take them literally they're like yeah however the

[28:27]angels look like we have not seen an angel to know exactly

[28:32]how they look like but whatever shape and form they have they

[28:34]do it accord they do salute now it may not look like

[28:37]our record salute but in the end they are physical so they

[28:44]can take these different positions that yes Jew dad is symbolic because

[29:52]it comes to this but the vast majority of them take these

[30:04]talk about them so that is the first category of scholar of

[30:13]angels their task is to only worship allah subhana wa ta'ala they

[30:17]do not do anything else so what are angels composed of now

[30:22]that we mentioned these two views narrations indicate that God has created

[30:27]three types of creations who have the intellect one is the humans

[30:34]and were made from dense material clay and water dust and water

[30:38]and that's clay then you have the jinn what are they made

[30:42]of fire fire is their essential makeup what defines their bodies as

[30:49]fire and then we have the aim they are created from noon

[30:53]from light Allah Spano - Allah created them from light so they

[30:57]could technically be visible to the naked eye if the veil will

[31:01]be were too removed but for us human beings there is a

[31:06]veil that blocks us from seeing them only those who achieve very

[32:07]veil many scholars believe yes it is physical but in order for

[32:10]that physical veil to be removed spiritually you have to be qualified

[32:14]some believe no it is a spiritual veil it's not anything physical

[32:18]it's part of the melaku that we talked about it's the inner

[32:22]secrets of the universe now the Quran is clear that the that
