[0:10][Music] Hussein.
[0:23]immediat.
[0:24][Music] [Music] Allah was alhamdulillah.
[1:26]Alhamdulillah be praised.
[1:44]Praised you who clothe and garb yourself in might.
[1:48]Be praised.
[1:50]He who wraps himself in glory and is generous.
[1:55]Be praised.
[1:58]Whom is the one that is not befitting for any to have
[2:05]glory but him.
[2:04]Be praised.
[2:06]He whom enumerates all the numbers with his knowledge, his noble character
[2:13]and his power be praised.
[2:17]The possessor of might and blessings, power and generosity.
[2:24]You are the living and you are the subsisting.
[2:29]You guided me, you fed me and you gave me to drink.
[2:35]You bring me to die and you endowed me with life.
[2:41]Forgive me by your mercy for you are the most merciful of
[2:48]the merciful.
[2:49]The first of our loud salawat in honor of Muhammad sallallahu alaihi
[2:55]wasallam.
[2:59]Second loudest salawat in honor of immest [Music] voice is in honor
[3:11]of the Imam of our time.
[3:18]Respected scholars, brothers and sisters, Alisam's most wonderful dua highlights her unbelievable
[3:32]connection with God.
[3:36]No doubt the connection between Syd Zanab and her Lord is the
[3:40]envy of millions in the world today.
[3:42]A positive envy.
[3:44]Each and every one of us wishes that we had the secret
[3:46]to that connection with God.
[3:48]Because when all of us have come to carbala or go for
[3:53]zara for any place you'll find that our ultimate aim which should
[3:57]be to seek the connection with God to recharge our connection with
[4:03]God.
[4:02]Many times you find that our connection with God waivers.
[4:07]Sometimes we're buzzing and we have an unbelievable connection with God.
[4:10]And then at other times we feel that we don't even want
[4:15]to get up to even talk to God.
[4:17]How many of you at times see peaks and troughs occur in
[4:19]your own worship where at times you feel like talking to God
[4:24]every minute and then there's other times where it's as if God
[4:27]doesn't even exist the way a person if you ask them do
[4:31]you believe in God they'll say to you of course I believe
[4:33]in God but their actions are in direct contradiction to what they
[4:40]utter and that's why a person constantly is seeking to find that
[4:44]connection with God throughout our lives, we know that there's one day
[4:49]in which we're going to meet the Lord.
[4:51]Quran says ultimately we're all heading towards a meeting with the Lord.
[5:01]I want to meet the Lord with a connection with God.
[5:03]There are some in this hall, they have a connection with B,
[5:07]but they don't have a connection with God.
[5:10]If you ask him about he'll tell you about if you were
[5:14]to ask them about God there is no connection with God.
[5:18]Someone says but my connection with them is my connection with God.
[5:22]Sometimes that's true.
[5:22]Sometimes you say that to please yourself.
[5:24]In reality you know very well that when it comes to Bates
[5:31]months you might stop doing that which displeases them but the rest
[5:35]of the year don't mind doing that which displeases Allah.
[5:38]In Muharam there are people and in Safar they will stop doing
[5:44]that which they feel displeases Im Hussein but the rest of the
[5:49]year they may not necessarily stop that which displeases Allah as if
[5:54]Muharam Safar is for Hussein and the rest of the year Allah
[5:59]does not exist.
[5:58]Therefore, because of that, people constantly have to re-evaluate what is the
[6:04]meaning of connection to God.
[6:05]Because we may also come up with our own definitions of what
[6:12]connection to God is.
[6:11]One of the dangers is when a person has a satanic definition
[6:18]of God.
[6:17]Shayan believed in God.
[6:20]Shan talked to God.
[6:21]But Shayan worshiped God on his own terms.
[6:24]If you make me prostrate to Adam, then I will not do
[6:29]it.
[6:30]But you make me prostrate to you, then I will do it
[6:31]forever.
[6:32]One of the dangers is that a person's connection with God may
[6:38]be skewed.
[6:37]You may think that you're doing something for God, but you're doing
[6:43]it really for yourself.
[6:43]Sometimes I may give charity.
[6:44]I claim it's for God, but it's for myself.
[6:47]Sometimes I may make a public display or service.
[6:51]I'm saying it's for God, but it's for myself.
[6:54]In reality, I want the world to also know that I am
[6:57]doing these things.
[6:58]I want the world to know that I am doing all of
[7:00]this.
[7:01]So, the reality is that every human being has to constantly reassess
[7:05]their connection with God.
[7:08]How can I make sure that my connection is a pure connection?
[7:12]Sometimes the Wi-Fi is great, sometimes it's not so great.
[7:15]Ultimately all of us will have one bar we can connect but
[7:20]it's not the same as having the full bar connection.
[7:24]When it comes to connection with God, normally I would say of
[7:27]course the best people for you to study their connection with God
[7:30]are the 14 m that there's no doubt about.
[7:34]But many times when you tell people look at the 14 m
[7:39]they'll say to you but they're I can't relate to them their
[7:46]giving me the example of the 14.
[7:48]I can't relate to their lifestyle.
[7:50]So that's where Zanisam comes in because if Zanab doesn't have the
[7:55]of the 14 theologically then she has a different form of asma
[8:03]which some may call for example a subordinate type of infallibility.
[8:07]When it comes to Zabisam Zanab has a remarkable connection with God.
[8:14]In her mid50s, the lady becomes an inspiration for millions today.
[8:20]In her mid-50s, she stands up in a couple of different countries,
[8:25]maybe three countries, ranging today Iraq, Lebanon, as well as Syria, where
[8:31]she stands up against the oppressors of her time.
[8:35]She doesn't waver.
[8:35]She doesn't flinch.
[8:38]She sees heads on spears in front of her including those that
[8:42]belong very close to her and is there greater than the head
[8:45]of say the shada.
[8:47]She sees all of that.
[8:48]She sees people mocking.
[8:50]She sees people who are disparaging, people who are abusing.
[8:54]And yet Zab remains Zab throughout.
[8:57]The question is that how do I connect with the secrets of
[9:04]Zanab and her connection with God?
[9:05]What are the secrets to Zanab's connection with God?
[9:08]Because I can take Zanabisam in two ways.
[9:11]Either Zanabisam is a figure who lived 1400 years ago.
[9:15]I cry about her.
[9:18]I mourn for her.
[9:19]I might build things in her name.
[9:20]Or I try and emulate Zabam.
[9:24]There's two types of characters.
[9:27]There's the one who will tell you that listen, I love Zanab.
[9:29]I'll do majus at home even for Zanab.
[9:31]By the way, I'll invite people to do mas of Zanb, but
[9:36]I won't necessarily follow every connection she has with God.
[9:39]I'll pick and choose what's nice of her.
[9:42]There's certain aspects of Zanab I like.
[9:44]There's other aspects I'm not too suited for at the moment.
[9:46]That person looks at Zanab purely as a 1400y old figure from
[9:52]back in the day.
[9:52]The reality should be the other way.
[9:54]How do I study Zanab so that Zanab's connection with Allah becomes
[10:00]my connection with Allah?
[10:01]Will it be as perfect as Zanab's Wi-Fi?
[10:04]No, not at all.
[10:05]There's no way I'll reach Zanab's connection.
[10:07]But what are the secrets and the philosophy of her connection with
[10:13]God that I can apply into my life?
[10:19]Many people they say after we leave Zara, the connection waiverss.
[10:22]I'm back to my old habits over here.
[10:25]I'm buzzing.
[10:26]I see a mosque.
[10:26]I see Malis.
[10:27]I see.
[10:29]I see.
[10:30]But when I go back to wherever I've come from, that connection
[10:33]goes, the haram comes.
[10:34]The addictions come.
[10:37]This goes.
[10:36]This is not the same.
[10:39]How do we maintain that connection?
[10:40]The reality is when a person dissects Zanab's biography, there are so
[10:46]many ample lessons for how Zab remain connected to Allah in the
[10:53]most difficult circumstances.
[10:53]And that's why I feel sorry for the Sunni world.
[10:55]Wallah, I feel sorry for them because the Sunni world with all
[11:00]of their claims that they love the prophet and his family, I
[11:04]guarantee you 90% of them don't know Zanab's story.
[11:08]Go to Z.
[11:10]go to many parts of the Sunni world they'll tell you about
[11:16]someone like Alawi a Sufi saint and you ask them about Zanisam
[11:19]they won't know remember recently Omar Sleman gave a lecture on sabam
[11:24]they were baffled that someone finally gave a lecture on the granddaughter
[11:29]of the prophet whereas for us Zanab is the biggest blessing that's
[11:34]been given to us because Zanabis Salam remains a role model for
[11:42]how a person is connected to Allah through thick and through thin
[11:46]through every trial and through difficulty and not basic connection as I
[11:52]said there's a connection called by the tongue but there's all through
[11:57]action let us tonight examine Zanab's connection with Allah subhana wa ta'ala
[12:03]how her connection with Allah made her remain strong in the middle
[12:09]of adversity Calamity, trial and tribulation.
[12:12]The first of the lessons from Zanisam's connection with God is a
[12:20]fundamental lesson.
[12:18]What is it?
[12:20]That I am not immune from God testing me.
[12:24]And that God's test actually brings me closer to God.
[12:31]The first philosophy say Zanabisam had which maintained her connection with God
[12:35]from the beginning of her life until the end was that she
[12:39]understood that nobody whether you're the daughter of Fatama or the daughter
[12:43]of John or the daughter of anyone you are not immune from
[12:50]being tested by God cuz there are some people their connection with
[12:52]God wavers when the moment they're tested the moment the business falls
[12:56]where's God the moment the child, for example, dies, where's God?
[13:01]The moment the community doesn't praise them anymore, where's God?
[13:06]The moment, for example, things are not going your way, where's God?
[13:11]Many will even say, "Why are you testing me?
[13:16]I pray and I fast and I go and I were you
[13:17]doing all of these things for yourself or for Allah subhana wa
[13:22]ta'ala?" The reality is that the first lesson from Zanabisam was that
[13:27]Zanab recognized the first connection to God is to appreciate that nobody
[13:31]not even the prophets of Allah are immune from God testing them.
[13:37]Show me one prophet of Allah subhana wa ta'ala in the Quran
[13:41]who lived a chilled rosy life sleeping on a beach somewhere.
[13:43]Show me one.
[13:46]From Adam the poor man seeing and at loggerheads to seeing people
[13:51]not listening to him to the many prophets who were in the
[13:56]Quran.
[13:54]Alhamdulillah I have 25 prophets of God where there's 124,000 prophets I
[14:01]haven't even read about.
[14:01]Do you know how many prophets of Allah subhana wa ta'ala were
[14:04]beheaded?
[14:05]How many prophets of Allah subhana wa ta'ala were sworded to death?
[14:09]How many the children of Israel killed?
[14:12]some cases 70 in one day.
[14:16]Every prophet of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala went through a trial in
[14:21]their life.
[14:22]But their philosophy from the trial wasn't to begin saying, I'm not
[14:26]going to pray anymore.
[14:26]Where's God for me to go down in sud rather I'm going
[14:31]to extend my sujud because if this trial brings me closer to
[14:35]Allah, let Allah give me more trials.
[14:37]And that's why you see in the Quran a number of occasions
[14:43]it baffles me when people say why am I being tested when
[14:46]the Quran is full of verses which are telling you that we're
[14:49]going to test you to see whether you're a believer or you're
[14:52]not a believer.
[14:54]If you look within the Holy Quran, we're going to test you
[15:08]and test you with what?
[15:08]And that's why it's vital you have a connection with Quran because
[15:13]the answers to life are all there.
[15:15]Quran said, Allah said we will test you with what?
[15:16]Some moments of fear.
[15:19]Subhan Allah.
[15:19]Sometimes this ayah, I think Zanab went through all of them.
[15:22]By the way, Allahbar there are some verses I think Zanab went
[15:28]through one by one.
[15:30]Some of us only go through one out of five, some two
[15:33]out of five.
[15:36]We're going to sometimes test you with moments of fear.
[15:40]Hunger, your money will no longer be around.
[15:46]Even your children and your souls and those around you may not
[15:51]be around.
[15:53]Your land may not be around.
[15:54]When Allah subhana t said that, Allah was telling us it doesn't
[15:58]matter who you are.
[15:59]There's going to be a moment you're going to be tested either
[16:04]with one of these or with two of these or with three
[16:06]of these or with four of these or with five of these.
[16:11]Don't turn around to me and say to me why.
[16:14]Why?
[16:15]Because of a reason.
[16:15]Number one, the flavor of life is tests.
[16:18]Those of you from the UK over here.
[16:19]The moment we went to school, we had GCSE.
[16:22]Then after GCSE, A level.
[16:24]After a level, then we went to university.
[16:27]Bachelor, bachelor, masters, masters, PhD.
[16:30]It was test after test.
[16:31]Why didn't the school system just tell us pass on to the
[16:34]next stage?
[16:35]Well, you go to Oxford as you want.
[16:37]You don't need to be tested.
[16:38]We'll throw you in Cambridge as well.
[16:39]We'll put you in Yale and Harvard as you want.
[16:42]Why was there a test after a test?
[16:45]It wasn't a negative.
[16:44]It was rather to filter the best of the best from others.
[16:51]Correct?
[16:52]Those tests were to filter those tests also.
[16:56]What do they do?
[16:56]They bring out the best in you.
[16:58]Yes.
[16:58]They bring out the best in you.
[17:01]The test.
[17:01]If the test is not there, wallah, none of us would revise.
[17:04]I'm sitting over here.
[17:05]I'm the biggest procrastinator you'll find.
[17:07]At least in my childhood, procrastinator.
[17:10]But when there's a test, you'll see the effort suddenly changes.
[17:14]The energy changes, the battery changes.
[17:16]I'm surprised when the human says, "Why is God testing me?" Your
[17:19]whole life from childhood is test after test after test.
[17:24]The flavor of life comes when a person is tested, they grow,
[17:28]they evolve.
[17:29]The Quran said that we may test you with moments of fear.
[17:32]Zanab saw fear or she didn't see fear.
[17:36]She saw that hunger.
[17:40]There were moments in Kufa where she would say is not for
[17:46]us.
[17:45]Imagine that moment where someone wants to give you something and say
[17:51]we do not take but you're starving.
[17:54]Your children around you are starving.
[17:56]At that moment the fear of being in kufa knowing is around
[17:58]the corner and Iben Zad has no limits to what he may
[18:03]do to you and your children.
[18:06]Suddenly you who were a princess in Kufa 25 years earlier now
[18:12]you don't own anything there.
[18:13]Yes.
[18:14]And your children are being killed in Kbella.
[18:18]Zanabisam's first lesson from her connection with God is that Zanab never
[18:24]once says why was I and my brother tested.
[18:27]Rather she looked at her and said ya Allah if testing me
[18:30]brings me closer to you then keep testing me Allah.
[18:35]It's a hard one.
[18:37]It's hard.
[18:39]You know that mother whose child has cancer.
[18:41]It's hard for her.
[18:42]How do I explain to a mother to stay remain connected to
[18:46]Allah when she tells me her five-year-old has cancer?
[18:47]All I can say to her is my dear that there are
[18:53]zanabs and zanabs before you who saw that and more.
[18:58]And the Quran it said Allah subhana wa ta'ala's philosophy of creating
[19:13]life and death was to do what was to test us which
[19:19]one of us does the best of deeds and that's why I
[19:24]imm says don't say ya Allah don't test me for you will
[19:26]all be tested rather say ya Allah don't test me with that
[19:32]which shakes my faith in you if Allah is going to test
[19:37]me in anything I don't mind but not that which shakes my
[19:39]faith in Allah subhana wa ta'ala therefore Zanab the first lesson from
[19:42]Zanab's connection with Allah Zab never believed that she was immune from
[19:51]any criticism or any test I'm going to be tested like my
[19:54]brother was tested in Kbala Like my uh other brother was tested
[19:58]in Medina.
[19:59]Like my dad, his whole life was in reality a test.
[20:05]Like my granddad who was called Majunar.
[20:07]Is there anyone who was tested more than Allah?
[20:10]Sahal.
[20:11]Is there anyone more beloved to Allah than Allah?
[20:16]Sall.
[20:15]Butasool Allah went through test after test after test.
[20:19]And the beautiful thing that she saw from her granddad after every
[20:23]test he say to Allah if Allah this brings me closer to
[20:30]you then test me and that's why we have those traditions the
[20:35]is tested there isn't a single person although I know some people
[20:40]sometimes when you when they're going through a test you say to
[20:44]them it must be hard goes brother I'm a mmin what do
[20:45]I do the mmin is tested even that you have to be
[20:49]careful of because I remember his discussion of says that sometimes there
[20:53]might be a person who says I'm a m says the mmin
[20:57]is tested what do I do we're going to be tested no
[21:01]no don't even say that rather say that ya Allah there must
[21:03]be a wisdom in the test that you're giving me that wisdom
[21:09]I cannot see but I believe that you are the wise therefore
[21:11]for Zanisam the first lesson none of us are immune from tests
[21:18]not even the greatest that is my grandfather sallallahu alaihi wasall but
[21:21]I have to trust that that test if it gets me closer
[21:24]to Allah that's number one number two the second connection of Zab
[21:31]with God seeing Allah in everything that's huge that's huge to see
[21:37]Allah in everything that you do is huge it's not easy why
[21:40]because for many of us we may do a lot of service
[21:44]but we may not see Allah in what we do we may
[21:46]do a lot of things but not See Allah has part of
[21:48]what you to the extent even there are some people when you
[21:51]say what are you doing Kbalah he said I'm serving Im Hussein
[21:54]I think that's great but it's nice to also remember Allah in
[22:00]there somewhere someone says no no no no baba I mean Allah
[22:03]no mention Allah be proud to say I see Allah immin used
[22:09]to always say I don't do anything except that I see Allah
[22:11]before it I see Allah in it I see Allah after it
[22:17]the Second connection Zanab has is that everything that happens to her
[22:22]from the beginning of her life, she sees Allah in that act.
[22:27]Is it easy to lose your mom between a wall and a
[22:29]door?
[22:30]If you're 5 years old, a nail pierces your mom's rib.
[22:35]It's easy.
[22:36]It's not easy.
[22:36]How do you see Allah within that?
[22:38]I've lost my mom.
[22:40]My mom's my be all and end all.
[22:43]And I see my mom martyed in front of me.
[22:46]But if I see Allah's plan somewhere in there that there must
[22:50]be a reason why Allah has taken my mom number one and
[22:56]that number two Allah has always promised that whatever because Fat is
[23:00]z is the biggest losing fat is zah we didn't just lose
[23:03]the daughter of Allah we lost a beacon of walking on the
[23:08]earth we lost hikma on the earth we lost a role model
[23:14]on the earth it's a but zanab saw that in the Quran
[23:17]has always said look for Allah in whatever you see even the
[23:23]you'll see a positive out how that ayah that I just quoted
[23:34]will test you with hunger fear loss of life loss of money
[23:40]loss of land but give glad tidings brings to the patient ones
[23:51]those who when affects them and what greater is that than Fat
[23:58]Zah's death second secret to her connection with Allah was everything she
[24:11]saw had one title My business falls.
[24:19]I lose a child.
[24:22]I lose a parent.
[24:26]If a person embeds in their character, their connection of with Allah
[24:35]will never waver up.
[24:37]Whenever you put that in your character, I belong to Allah.
[24:40]We surely belong to Allah and to Allah we return.
[24:44]That ayah z was her second secret because in everything that she
[24:53]saw the lady would always say some people know.
[24:56]Some people were like why did I miss out on that deal?
[25:00]What have I done wrong?
[25:00]Why did you miss out on this?
[25:01]Why did you not do this?
[25:04]No, no, no, no, no.
[25:05]A connection with Allah will always say has a line before he
[25:11]died.
[25:11]It is one of the most beautiful but simple lines you can
[25:13]ever have.
[25:14]You know what he said to iman?
[25:16]Do not yearn for this world.
[25:19]Don't resent anything that you've missed in it.
[25:22]Don't yearn for this world and don't resent anything that you've missed
[25:29]in it.
[25:27]There are some people when they miss a deal, they miss something
[25:32]they were going to buy, they miss a franchise, they miss they
[25:35]miss wallah they have the worst character for the next week with
[25:38]their family.
[25:40]They are the lowest angry rude with others.
[25:44]A person who has embodied knows I belong to Allah originally.
[25:51]I wasn't even worth mentioning.
[25:53]Yes, I wasn't worth mentioning.
[25:55]I was a sperm like who nobody even knew.
[26:00]We weren't even worth mentioning.
[26:03]And eventually I'll return to Allah.
[26:06]The house that I own is an ama from Allah subhana wa
[26:08]ta'ala.
[26:09]The money I have is an am from Allah.
[26:11]Even the children that I have are an ama from Allah subhana
[26:17]wa tala.
[26:15]Because if you believe in you believe that everything that you have,
[26:20]you see Allah within it and it all belongs to Allah.
[26:24]And that's why the highest level of spirituality in connection with Allah
[26:28]is what?
[26:29]Is to never believe you're rich.
[26:31]You're always poor and Allah is the rich of Ali which we
[26:36]recite in shah Ramadan.
[26:42]My master or my master, you are the rich and I am
[26:47]the poor.
[26:49]And who is therefore the poor except the rich?
[26:52]Sometimes a human may come to you and say, "I'm one of
[26:54]the wealthiest people.
[26:56]I'm one of the richest people." You are always the is one.
[26:59]There's always one.
[27:01]You want to maintain a connection with Allah.
[27:05]Always say there's only one.
[27:08]The only in this whole existence is Allah subhana wa ta'ala.
[27:15]Bring me Gates, Buffett, Amani, all of Bring me all of these
[27:18]names.
[27:19]These have got money.
[27:20]There's no doubt.
[27:21]Bring me Bzos has money.
[27:23]Bring me all of them.
[27:26]They have money.
[27:25]But they cannot control if tomorrow the pancreas stops working.
[27:29]However many iPhones you produced.
[27:34]Yes, you can be a mind of technology.
[27:38]When the pancreas goes, it goes.
[27:39]You cannot control your destiny.
[27:40]It could be one thing.
[27:41]That's why the second connection with Z is when her mom died.
[27:46]When the Quran has said when affects you, the one who's connected
[27:53]to Allah knows that when you know if I give you glad
[27:56]tidings that listen, when there's a affecting you, it's going to get
[27:59]better.
[27:59]You're going to be like, "Yeah, okay.
[28:02]I respect you." When Allah says, "Give glad tidings to those who
[28:10]have what are the glad tidings?" Tell them just to say this,
[28:18]they will be victorious.
[28:22]Therefore, the second connection Zanab has with God is that she sees
[28:26]God in everything she does.
[28:26]It is not Zanab doing it becomes Allah moving Zanab.
[28:32]Yes.
[28:32]Everything she does the consequences of everything she's doing Allah.
[28:36]And by the way you can reach that level.
[28:38]The more steps you take to Allah the more Allah becomes the
[28:41]eyes by which you see and the ears by which you hear
[28:45]and the feet by which you walk.
[28:47]There are people who walk on the earth because of their obedience
[28:52]to Allah.
[28:51]Allah became the voice that spoke.
[28:54]Yes.
[28:54]Therefore that's the second.
[28:55]The third connection Zab has with Allah subhana wa tala is what
[29:01]is that zan would never stop seeking to gain and disseminate because
[29:06]you want to connect to Allah is the greatest was to connect
[29:11]to Allah subhana wa ta'ala today you may find that people think
[29:15]connection to Allah comes in many other forms the third connection Zanab
[29:19]has with Allah is that Zanab was and that is one of
[29:26]the greatest forms of spirituality and connecting to Allah.
[29:28]Some people you'll see wallah I'm telling you there'll be people who
[29:34]will serve here in Kbalah and they'll serve in their mosques and
[29:37]and and and the guy has ants in his pants when he
[29:40]sits in a majus he can't sit so why can't you s
[29:46]because so used to the philosophy that spirituality comes in what serving
[29:52]tea giving food serving this that's all good but there's nothing higher
[29:58]than sitting under Hussein and gaining.
[30:00]Don't get it twisted, my brothers and sisters.
[30:03]Let me be very frank with all of you.
[30:06]Don't get it twisted.
[30:06]We are honored to be in Kbalah.
[30:07]But never get it twisted.
[30:12]If you're in Kabala for two weeks, 3 weeks, 5 weeks, and
[30:15]you can't sit and listen to you've got your spirituality skewed.
[30:19]You've got your spirituality skewed.
[30:21]Because in Islam I'd rather build one of than have 50 jah
[30:29]who don't listen to a single hadith on you think what when
[30:36]we serve this service by the way inshallah all of this service
[30:38]is sincere I love everybody who serves but there are some who
[30:41]serve they can't sit in medus anymore because for them is not
[30:44]enjoyable this is enjoyable can graban says no no what are you
[30:51]doing going gaining Serve.
[30:52]You serve.
[30:53]Give.
[30:54]This is This is Be careful.
[30:56]Be careful.
[30:58]Be careful.
[31:00]Even in our mosques.
[31:01]Sometimes a person may serve in the car park.
[31:04]Someone serves.
[31:05]You don't need to serve for 28 years in the car park.
[31:09]Go sit in the majus.
[31:10]Pass it on to somebody else.
[31:10]Unless you've built your own fifom and then someone's told you this
[31:17]is not as an excuse to have a cigarette outside.
[31:20]Someone tells you that this is majest.
[31:21]No, no, my majest is to serve.
[31:24]No, no, no, no, no, no, no.
[31:27]The third connection with Allah was with Zan always seeking and disseminating.
[31:35]I don't want a million who are able to give me drinks.
[31:41]I want one who could be a pioneer of intellectual thought.
[31:47]the SH in the world today when it comes to intellectual thought
[31:52]on economics on psychology on medicine.
[31:54]How many Shia names do you see at the forefront when they
[31:57]bring these intellectual thinkers on stage and YouTube?
[32:00]How many how many how many where are the philosophers and the
[32:06]minds and the economics of the Shia world?
[32:06]Where are they?
[32:08]Say she taught in two places.
[32:14]First she studied under her parents.
[32:15]Someone say why does she need to study?
[32:17]Jenna is for her.
[32:17]No, no, no.
[32:19]Even she needs to study.
[32:19]Even she needs to learn.
[32:23]She was with her parents and not anyone else.
[32:27]In Medina, she would do taps of the holy Quran.
[32:28]And then when she moved to Kufa, some men came to Im
[32:35]Ali.
[32:33]And they said to him, "Oh Ali, your daughter Zanab, would she
[32:41]do of the Quran for our ladies?" And I immab.
[32:45]And he said to say to Zanabisam that would you do of
[32:52]the Quran and Zanab begins of the Quran for the ladies in
[32:55]not just in Medina there is no to getting closer to Allah
[33:02]than learning an and that's the baraka of Hussein the baraka of
[33:06]the is our that's where our baraka is these other things that
[33:12]we do they are alhamdulillah baraka but never never put them on
[33:16]the same level as gaining.
[33:17]Alm builds human beings.
[33:21]It builds characters.
[33:22]A person is able to understand the Quranith.
[33:26]Zam becomes an she's not Z because she's Ali and Fatama's daughter.
[33:31]She's an in her own right.
[33:33]Therefore, the third connection Zab has with God is what?
[33:40]It's constantly getting closer to Allah by learning.
[33:41]I ask all of you here if a non-Muslim today asked you
[33:47]to recommend them a book on say Zanabisam which book would you
[33:51]recommend them?
[33:52]If a non-Muslim today asked you you have for example many of
[33:58]us love Zanab adore Zanab but I want to read a book
[34:00]on Zanab.
[34:02]That's where you see where the Shia is in their pedigree.
[34:04]What is it?
[34:06]What elm do they have of the latest books that are out
[34:10]there?
[34:10]What is the size of their bookshelf is spirituality, not the length
[34:15]of the food they serve.
[34:16]The size of their bookshelf.
[34:18]A person can return from Kbala having served a billion rice and
[34:25]curries and goes home to not read one book.
[34:27]How many of you when you leave Kbala have an to buy
[34:34]books?
[34:33]How many and becomes reduced to displays of I'm giving this, I'm
[34:43]giving that.
[34:41]Alhamdulillah.
[34:43]Good.
[34:44]You are serving zir.
[34:45]No problem.
[34:46]Keep serving.
[34:48]How many have an to buy a book and put in their
[34:50]suitcase or to buy for their sons and their daughters books when
[34:56]you are in the bastion of learning?
[34:57]That is a 1,000 year.
[35:02]How many were in and inquired where is where is the where
[35:10]is where are the books of where are the books on the
[35:15]biographies of my dear brothers and sisters let's not get this twisted
[35:19]I beg of all of you connection with Allah doesn't come in
[35:22]the way that we want it to come the first word taught
[35:27]to his prophet was and And then when he read and the
[35:32]literacy that he strived for in his community that he would ransom
[35:38]prisoners if they taught his people how to read and write.
[35:40]We have to return to being that community who seeks to read
[35:47]and seeks to learn constantly when they come on Zara and they
[35:49]ask.
[35:49]So if you someone wants to ask you give me a book
[35:52]on Zanab.
[35:52]Look at father Christopher Class's book Zanab half of my heart.
[35:56]There's a book on Zanab by a priest but the book has
[36:01]many good chapters on Zanab.
[36:01]So when you return you're like I have made sure that I've
[36:07]got a book to read on Zab or to read on Im
[36:11]Hussein or to read on not that I just come back and
[36:13]say that I served 5,000 people.
[36:18]Yes.
[36:19]Otherwise we are not building communities.
[36:21]We are building people who are worshiping Allah to the way they
[36:24]want to worship Allah.
[36:27]Not the way that brings struggle.
[36:29]Therefore, number three of Zanab's connection with Allah was what?
[36:33]Was that constant serving of giving, learning, disseminating.
[36:38]That was the third connection.
[36:41]A person can never have a relation with Allah unless they're finishing
[36:46]reading one, two, four, five books a month as a alhamdulillah.
[36:49]What an easy world we have now where you could get PDFs
[36:54]and Kindles of every book.
[36:54]Our grandfathers used to go from city to city collecting books to
[36:57]read and put them on their bookshelf.
[36:59]The fourth connection that Zanab has with Allah subhana wa ta'ala.
[37:03]What is it?
[37:05]Complete obedience to Allah and everything Allah asked for that hijab of
[37:10]Zanab.
[37:11]Never once did she ever say I'm not ready for it.
[37:15]How many who love Zanab?
[37:18]Wallah I don't doubt they love Zanab but you want to be
[37:20]connected to Allah Zanab connected to Allah with her hijab someone says
[37:27]no no no with her heart is one thing but hijab compliments
[37:30]the heart if you have a good heart seal it with what
[37:35]Allah asks you today do you know how many return from Kbala
[37:37]on transit and they stop at an airport like how our Iranian
[37:43]brothers and sisters sometimes they leave Iran and the hijab comes off
[37:47]straight away sometimes you have people.
[37:48]Okay, those people may not necessarily they don't believe let's say in
[37:52]that hijab or whatever.
[37:52]But the one who loves Zanab and loves Allah.
[37:56]The fourth connection Zanab has with Allah.
[38:01]Complete obedience.
[38:00]Not on my terms, on Allah's terms.
[38:03]Not on my terms.
[38:06]Not when I feel like it.
[38:07]I will do it when Allah orders it as waj.
[38:12]It's waj.
[38:12]There's no point crying about the fact that Zanab's hijab was ripped
[38:17]off if you are ripping your own hijab off in a different
[38:20]way.
[38:22]I do on shimmer.
[38:27]Why?
[38:28]Because shimmer stop them from covering themselves.
[38:31]What if you're the one who stops your own daughter from covering
[38:34]herself?
[38:34]So who's better?
[38:35]You or Shimmer?
[38:37]I'm not getting it.
[38:37]There are fathers today.
[38:40]Fathers today, he's more concerned about the color of his daughter's teeth
[38:45]than the modesty of his daughter.
[38:46]When it comes to brushing her teeth, you're not going to bed
[38:48]until you brush your teeth.
[38:50]when it comes to what she wears and her hijab, do what
[38:52]you want until you get to 18.
[38:53]You choose.
[38:54]So brushing the teeth has become something that causes you a headache,
[38:57]but your daughter's modesty isn't.
[39:02]The fourth connection that Zanab has and this is an inspiration for
[39:09]our sisters and that is that take from this lesson that Zanab's
[39:13]greatness in Kbal and Kuf Sham the more obedient to Allah she
[39:19]was the more Allah strengthened her do you know how many families
[39:23]there are they do malis for Zanab not one girl in their
[39:24]family wears hijab not one what a tragedy and that's why I
[39:30]always say to you be careful of How you compartmentalize to suit
[39:36]your life not your life revolves around them sayam complete obedience to
[39:45]Allah all their life Allah gave her strength in the court of
[39:48]court of do you know what strength that is do you know
[39:52]how hard that is to lift yourself under that much pressure and
[39:56]to be zam you think that came overnight that came that when
[40:00]she obeyed Allah Ah Allah opened the doors for her to be
[40:07]given strength and that so many in the future would say if
[40:10]my grandmother Zanab could do that then why can I not do
[40:15]that?
[40:15]Do you know in this country in Kbalah and Najaf and Saddam
[40:19]Hussein smashed the heads of ladies on walls.
[40:24]They broke skulls of Zanabs in the 80s.
[40:27]Nobody mentions many of you would have heard my medus in Muharram
[40:29]this year on Saddam Hussein.
[40:29]Do you know how many in the 80s we lost how many
[40:35]Zabiat?
[40:35]Do you know how many we lost?
[40:37]We lost so many 20 25 year old girls, ladies wearing hijab
[40:43]just because they were religious.
[40:45]The bat government would literally smash them and sometimes give allow them
[40:50]to be ripped their stomach so that fetuses are taken out.
[40:55]That one who tries to wear the hijab of Zanab and tries
[40:58]to follow Zanab's connection with Allah is to be in the same
[41:01]place as the one who says I like Zanab but I will
[41:05]not obey Allah and what Zanab asked me.
[41:07]No.
[41:08]No.
[41:09]It's not fair.
[41:08]It's not right.
[41:10]And we have to put a stop to this because this is
[41:16]becoming now a cause for concern.
[41:16]This sudden I don't want to wear hijab and she's not wearing
[41:18]hijab.
[41:19]I'm taking off my hijab.
[41:19]I'm taking hijab.
[41:21]Why?
[41:21]Why did Zanab not become enough of a connection with Allah for
[41:24]you to have that connection?
[41:26]And how many do you hear saying I still can connect to
[41:29]Allah without hijab?
[41:31]But I don't get it.
[41:32]I don't get it.
[41:35]If Zanabisam has paved the way for you, then surely something is
[41:38]right in the way Zanab is doing things.
[41:41]Therefore, the fourth connection that Zanab has with Allah subhana wa ta'ala,
[41:47]complete obedience to Allah.
[41:47]Not up to her but what Allah wants from her.
[41:52]Allah wants nine.
[41:51]I don't tell my daughter up to you when you want to
[41:55]barber.
[41:56]I don't want to force you.
[41:56]No, no, no, no.
[41:58]It's not about forcing.
[41:59]When you love your daughter, you want to care about her teeth.
[42:01]You love her.
[42:03]That's why you want to make sure she brushes her teeth.
[42:04]Likewise, love her so that she obeys Allah from a young age.
[42:09]Otherwise, wah, my dear brother, could be too late sometimes and the
[42:12]person lets go.
[42:14]Number five, the fifth connection she has with Allah subhana wa ta'ala.
[42:17]What is it?
[42:19]The fifth connection, submissive to Allah.
[42:19]As I said, obedient but not passive.
[42:25]Ah, there are some who say obedience means I'm passive.
[42:27]I'm going to be uh enslaved.
[42:28]I wear hijab, I don't have a voice.
[42:31]No, no, no.
[42:33]Zab showed that a connection with Allah comes in being submissive to
[42:38]Allah but not passive.
[42:39]Meaning that when I see injustice, I'll speak because a true person
[42:46]connected to Allah will not remain silent when they seem.
[42:48]Yep.
[42:49]Where was the first time that she spoke out?
[42:52]The first time that Zan spoke out and highlighted her connection with
[42:56]Allah that I don't fear speaking out was against Aisha and Hapsa.
[43:03]Against who?
[43:05]Aisha and Havsa.
[43:07]Someone says, "No, I thought I thought she spoke out against Yazid
[43:10]and uh and and the rest of that rubbish." No, the first
[43:16]she spoke out against was Aisha.
[43:20]And Aisha was mobilizing the army to fight in the battle of
[43:24]J to fight the greatest creation of Allah subhana wa ta'ala after
[43:29]us.
[43:31]Allah Sal was standing there.
[43:33]Zanab, how old was she?
[43:34]She was about 30 years of age.
[43:36]Submissive to Allah.
[43:38]But that doesn't mean I'm passive.
[43:41]Some of our daughters they think connection with Allah means quiet.
[43:48]No.
[43:46]To speak out against the unjust.
[43:51]Aisha is mobilizing an army.
[43:52]Zab turned around to Salam.
[43:53]Amen.
[43:54]She's mobilizing an army against my father.
[43:57]Sal said to her Zab, "You are the daughter of Ali.
[44:01]Stay.
[44:02]Just leave it." She said, "I'm not leaving it." She moved her.
[44:06]She went to her.
[44:09]She said, "You and your friend Havsa, already you are instigating against
[44:15]my father the way you instigated against his brother." Who's his brother?
[44:21]Who's his brother?
[44:21]Allah.
[44:22]True.
[44:22]Ali.
[44:23]And the prophet are brothers.
[44:25]And so she spoke out against Aisha.
[44:28]Someone could say to Zanab, "Why are you being sectarian?" One who
[44:34]is connected to Allah is not scared to speak for the of
[44:36]Al Muhammad.
[44:38]Yes.
[44:38]Doesn't scare us.
[44:39]Sometimes people say to me, "You're not scared.
[44:41]Scared of what?" Scared of what?
[44:44]As I im Hussein said, "If bodies are meant to die and
[44:48]decay, then let my body be cut into a thousand pieces." And
[44:52]then there you have to leave a legacy behind with your soul.
[44:55]Zab said to Aisha and she quoted the Quran as she always
[45:01]does because anyone who's connected to Allah, the Quran is part and
[45:05]parcel of their tongue.
[45:05]Yes.
[45:06]The fifth connection Zab has with Allah.
[45:09]The six she has with Allah subhana wa t'ala constantly quoting Quran.
[45:13]If you look at her in front of she quoted surah 66
[45:20]verse number four in so on and so forth she quotes in
[45:32]sham in front of yazid she begins herb all praise is due
[45:35]to Allah subhana wa ta'ala master of all the worlds and peace
[45:38]and blessings be his prophet and Allah was right when he said
[45:41]evil will be the end for those who committed evil because they
[45:44]rejected our communications and used to mock them.
[45:47]That's one ayah.
[45:47]The second ayah she quotes in front of Yazid was is she
[45:51]said to him, she said to him, "Let not those who think
[45:56]that our granting them restbite is good for their souls.
[45:58]Rather, we grant them restbite so they may add to their sins
[46:01]and for them there is a painful chastisement." ayah number two.
[46:05]Ay number three in front of Yazid.
[46:07]Do not count those who have died in the way of Allah
[46:08]as being dead.
[46:10]rather they are alive receiving sustenance from their lord.
[46:12]The sixth of the lessons of connection with Allah subhana wa ta
[46:18]that you want to connect with Allah then you must be well-versed
[46:21]in the book of Allah a person and I give you all
[46:26]a piece of advice humbly for myself just read 50 verses of
[46:28]Quran a day not more there are some people tell me I
[46:32]finished Quran I'm not I don't care if you finished Quran without
[46:35]contemplating I finished last Ramadan I finished 70 Qurans I couldn't care
[46:39]less how many you finished wallah I couldn't care less Because if
[46:44]all I'm producing is parrots, then keep the Quran on the shelf.
[46:49]Contemplate on an ayah a day or read 50 ayats a day.
[46:54]Zam was connected to Allah by reading the words of Allah.
[46:57]There's no better connection to Allah than by reading the words that
[47:02]Allah wrote and emailed to you until the day of judgment.
[47:07]True.
[47:05]Allah reveals himself in that book.
[47:09]And so Zanab throughout her life, Quran, Quran, Quran, Quran.
[47:13]But also alongside Quran, Zanab has something beautiful her own duas.
[47:17]Sometimes you would think she would just use her dad's duas.
[47:22]True.
[47:23]The seventh connection to Allah is talk to Allah the way Zan
[47:27]talks to Allah.
[47:30]How many of us talk to Allah?
[47:31]Some of us our talking to Allah is through dua dua.
[47:34]And those are the best ways to talk to Allah by the
[47:39]way.
[47:41]But sometimes sometimes just open your heart to Allah.
[47:43]What I quoted at the beginning was say the Zanab's dua talking
[47:51]to Allah.
[47:49]Be praised you, oh Allah who clothed and garbed yourself in your
[47:56]might.
[47:58]Be praised.
[48:00]He who wraps himself in glory and is generous be praised.
[48:11]He who enumerates all the numbers with his knowledge and with his
[48:17]noble character and with his power.
[48:21]be praised.
[48:22]The possessor of might and blessings and power and generosity.
[48:30]You are the living.
[48:34]You are the subsisting.
[48:34]And you are.
[48:37]Yes.
[48:38]You are the living and you are the subsisting.
[48:40]You guided me.
[48:42]You feed me.
[48:44]You give me drink.
[48:44]You are the one who brings me to die.
[48:46]And you're the one who endowed me with life.
[48:50]Forgive me by your mercy for you are the most merciful of
[48:56]the merciful.
[48:55]Zanab.
[48:56]How many of us associate Zanab with dua?
[49:00]How many of us associate Zanab with dua?
[49:02]Never.
[49:03]Never do you associate that Zanab has dua.
[49:06]But say that Zanab showed us one of the best connections to
[49:13]Allah.
[49:09]Talk to Allah here in talk to Allah.
[49:14]Open up to Allah in your own dua.
[49:19]You don't have to pick up mafia and read what's in there.
[49:22]Sometimes people read Arabic without knowing what they're reading.
[49:25]Sometimes open up yourself.
[49:27]Say, "God, I want help in getting closer to you.
[49:30]I want help in being more obedient to you.
[49:32]I want help against this addiction.
[49:34]Oh Allah, forgive me by your mercy.
[49:36]For you are the most merciful of the merciful.
[49:41]Therefore, another connection to Allah was to talk to Allah.
[49:43]to open up.
[49:45]Sometimes Christians although they don't have five prayers a day, sometimes I
[49:49]feel they open up more to Allah than Muslims do.
[49:50]Muslims open up with what's w to do, but they don't open
[49:54]up when it's when it's their free time to do.
[49:57]And that needs to be done as well.
[49:59]The eighth connection to Allah, no doubt, is one of the heartbreaking
[50:01]ones.
[50:02]What is it?
[50:04]Her eighth connection to Allah, she never missed.
[50:08]Zama zashab is on a different league to the extent that Im
[50:13]Hussein on the night of ash he said to her don't forget
[50:18]me in your salah Allahbar imagine an imam asks you what do
[50:24]you do the eighth of her connections with Allah subhana wa ta'ala
[50:30]is the connection of that connection of by the way that connection
[50:35]sometimes I'll admit even on myself the idea of maybe you know
[50:39]getting up in the middle of the night to do was I
[50:44]necessarily that type of guy not really but then I thought well
[50:49]I'll do what I can do and maybe after I'll start off
[50:54]with only IM says our never miss is 11 correct the is
[51:06]the one says our will not miss salah it 10 may be
[51:11]hard eight someone says that's one salah has that much spirituality yes
[51:15]why because you don't need to do it you're doing it out
[51:19]of love and what's done out of love Allah pours mercy on
[51:25]you the other five I do them because I'm scared of my
[51:27]mom's slippers I do them because I'm scared I'm going to get
[51:29]attacked I do them for different reasons but that everyone's asleep I'm
[51:37]not getting any I'm light from doing it.
[51:41]I do it because I love you.
[51:42]And the beautiful thing is now I can finish my and I
[51:47]pray my wit.
[51:48]After you might do the and look at what I imam says.
[51:54]He says from sham she never missed once.
[52:02]He says she never relinquished salah.
[52:06]That's amazing.
[52:07]That is something else.
[52:08]Wallah, I sit here sometimes.
[52:11]There are certain things I say I understand.
[52:15]Some I fathom.
[52:15]Some I can't to get up for as well after carbella is
[52:25]a heartbreaker.
[52:28]When when Abu Hamza says to imd you cry this much.
[52:32]He said I lost 18 members of my family in one afternoon
[52:36]whereas Ysef was alive and he cried for him.
[52:40]I lost 18.
[52:42]Who gets up in the middle of the night?
[52:44]And im says there was only three nights.
[52:47]She sat and prayed it the rest standing.
[52:52]And they asked him which three nights?
[52:54]He said there were three nights in in Kufa where she sat
[53:02]because of the difficulties that had ensued before she sat down and
[53:09]prayed.
[53:06]He said otherwise my auntie Zab never miss standing talking to Allah.
[53:19]That connection is unreal.
[53:22]But that connection is she's obedient to Allah.
[53:25]Allah opens her insight and her wisdom and her knowledge and she
[53:33]never missed salah.
[53:33]The ninth connection she has with Allah is that she never believes
[53:36]what she's done for Allah is a lot.
[53:41]Cuz there are some people say I prayed so much.
[53:44]I've done so many Hajj.
[53:46]I've done so many.
[53:46]Why is this?
[53:47]Are you actually saying that what you're doing is sufficient?
[53:51]Come on.
[53:52]The very fact that I could say come on.
[53:55]I will never be able to say thank you enough for doesn't
[53:59]Aub say after all my trials I said shuk to you all
[54:05]the time.
[54:06]Oh Allah and you took everything away from me.
[54:08]Is that not enough?
[54:09]He said you can never say shuk for the shuk that you've
[54:13]just said.
[54:13]Can you say shuk for shuk?
[54:17]Even shuk is a blessing.
[54:19]taught us you want to be connected to Allah never think of
[54:23]what you've done as big and that's why after she would say
[54:31]oh Allah accept this little from us accept this little from us
[54:36]little we are so blessed to be associated with because what they
[54:48]reach in terms of Human discipline is hard.
[54:51]It is majestic.
[54:53]It is for angels.
[54:56]This world wasn't forb are made for heaven.
[55:02]They're not made for this world.
[55:04]Oh Allah, accept this little from us.
[55:08]Little little.
[55:10]Your sons are little.
[55:12]Your brother who gave his arms away is little.
[55:15]your other brother whose head is only little but yes but Allah
[55:21]deserves more than this Allah deserves more in her eyes Allah has
[55:27]been so kind today people say why am I going through difficulties
[55:32]Allah always has given you more than he's taken from you always
[55:36]Allah has given more but it's our mathematics that's corrupt not Allah's
[55:41]blessings it's our mathematics that's corrupt not Allah's blessings Allah's blessings we
[55:48]can never count them can never count them and therefore we can
[55:51]never have given back enough to Allah and the one who is
[55:57]connected to God never feels their action is big they always say
[56:02]oh Allah accept from us this little little we've given back you've
[56:09]given us so much haya is a great risk there is no
[56:10]risk like haya if everything goes well you have haya you are
[56:16]the wealthiest est person in the world.
[56:19]That connection with Allah and then the final connection with Allah.
[56:23]What is it?
[56:25]It came through her knowing the Imam of her time.
[56:28]You can never know Allah unless you know the Imam of your
[56:31]time.
[56:32]True.
[56:33]The imams are the intermediary between us and Allah.
[56:35]And nobody knew Hussein like Zanab knew Hussein.
[56:40]Wallah.
[56:41]Nobody had seen what they saw.
[56:46]They saw their mom behind a door and they saw a father
[56:48]with his head cut into half and they saw Hassan vomiting and
[56:55]then they saw and imagine how difficult it was for Omul.
[57:00]You know Allah he cried when Zanab was born and then he
[57:07]made a statement.
[57:06]He said, "Whoever cries for Zab, it is as if they are
[57:11]crying for Hassan and Hussein." That's the level of tears for Zan.
[57:18]Yes.
[57:17]That whoever cries for Zan, it's as if they cry for Hassan
[57:22]and Hussein.
[57:26]That is the beacon that is Zan.
[57:30]I said this in a lecture nearly 10 years ago, but Zanab
[57:32]is not great because she's the daughter of Ali and Fatama.
[57:37]Zanab is Zanab.
[57:38]Zanab is great in her own right.
[57:43]She's a beacon of spirituality and the best person to see connection
[57:47]to Allah in her dua, in her obedience, in her voice.
[57:51]And what a voice she gave in sham.
[57:54]All praise is due to Allah, master of all the worlds.
[57:56]and peace and blessings be on his prophet.
[57:59]And Allah was right when he said evil will be the end
[58:04]for those who committed evil because they rejected our communications and used
[58:09]to mock them.
[58:08]Oh Yazid, do you think God has made you honorable and made
[58:13]us contemptable now that in you your belief you block the earth
[58:16]zones and the heavens horizons and you've left no solution for us?
[58:19]You crow with pleasure now that the world has turned for you.
[58:22]Our government is allocated to you and our affairs are arranged for
[58:27]you.
[58:27]Get off your high horse.
[58:28]Have you not read where Allah says in the Quran, "Let not
[58:31]those who disbelieve think that our granting them restbite is good for
[58:36]their souls.
[58:35]Rather we grant them restbite so they may add to their sins
[58:40]and for them there is a painful chastisement.
[58:43]Oh Yazid, oh you whose father was freed by my grandfather.
[58:45]Is it fair that you place your wives behind a curtain while
[58:49]the daughters of Rasool Allah have no curtain to protect them?
[58:54]Is it fair that you disgrace them and you unveil their faces
[58:57]so that all can see them from the stranger, to the acquaintance,
[59:02]from the noble, to the ignoble, while there is none to defend
[59:06]them?
[59:06]Then she said, "How can you hope for sympathy and compassion from
[59:10]someone whose grandmother chewed the liver of the nobles and was born
[59:14]from the flesh of the martyrs?
[59:18]You boast about your disbeliever ancestors, wishing that they were present so
[59:24]that they could see what they see.
[59:26]You poke the eyes of Abah Abdullah and you poke his mouth
[59:29]and you shed the blood of the heavenly stars on earth, the
[59:33]children of Abdalib.
[59:35]But oh Yazid, soon you'll wish you had not done what you've
[59:39]done or said what you've said.
[59:41]And you would have wished that your hands had withered away.
[59:46]Oh Yazid, by Allah, you've clothed your own skin and flesh.
[59:48]Soon you'll meet the messenger of Allah, where Allah turns distress into
[59:52]tranquility.
[59:53]With the heavy burden that you have that know, oh yazid, however
[59:57]hard you try, know one thing that those who have died in
[60:02]the way of Allah are not dead.
[60:03]Rather they are alive receiving sustenance from their lord.
[60:06]Those who pave the way for you to dominate over us will
[60:11]soon find out whose army is weaker.
[60:13]And the retribution for the oppressor enough for us is that Allah
[60:16]is the judge and Jrael is the supporter and that Muhammad is
[60:19]the adversary.
[60:21]Oh Yazid, however hard you try, know one thing.
[60:26]Although the plight has made me speak to you, I find speaking
[60:28]to you of little value, but I find scolding you great.
[60:35]>> I find speaking to you of little value, but I find
[60:40]scolding you great.
[60:43]The eyes are tearful, the heart is sorrowful.
[60:46]How ironic it is that the members of the party of Allah
[60:50]are killed by the members of the party of shan.
[60:54]But our blood drips on your pores and our flesh on your
[61:00]teeth.
[61:01]Oh Yazid, however hard you try, you'll never obliterate our love and
[61:06]our memory from the hearts of the people.
[61:09]Your government is unstable and transentry and soon you'll meet Allah where
[61:16]Allah has not unjust to the oppressor.
[61:19]All I ask is recompense for the martyrs of the 10th of
[61:27]Muaram.
[61:25]Those words echo until today with us wherever we are.
[61:30]Z every bit of strength that she had was because of her
[61:33]connection to Allah.
[61:36]But there were also times where Zena broke as well.
[61:41]Earlier we said she say her philosophy of life was when you
[61:49]can say that at all times but when a young girl falls
[61:54]it's hard for you to just other that.
[61:57]Yes.
[61:57]And that's why she became an umbrella for all the young children.
[62:01]Every time a child would die, including a six-month-old baby, she would
[62:08]be the one who'd say, she'd console with when fell.
[62:18]She'd console his mother.
[62:22]I wonder who consoled Zay of when Hussein fell on the earth.
[62:29]We thought was the last of the correct.
[62:35]We thought that that was the end.
[62:36]Surely no more.
[62:38]Surely the children would live until they returned to see their dad's
[62:42]grave.
[62:43]But one girl in particular woke up that night and she screamed.
[62:50]She wanted to see the her she wanted to see her father.
[62:54]She came to her auntie Zam.
[62:57]And she said, "Auntie, auntie, I miss my father." She said, "Auntie,
[63:03]where's my father?" She said to her, "Your father is not here
[63:06]with us.
[63:07]He's away." She said to her, "Auntie, I saw him in my
[63:14]dream last night.
[63:12]I want to see my father." Your daughter, if she wakes up
[63:18]from a nightmare, she'll scream.
[63:20]Imagine waking up from seeing Aba Abdullah.
[63:22]How much do you miss Im Hussein?
[63:28]You're in the land of Hussein next to Hussein.
[63:30]I ask forgiveness from my grandmother Fat Zah for what I'm about
[63:37]to recite.
[63:38]If she's in the majus with us, I ask for forgiveness from
[63:42]the Imam of our time, for what we're about to recite.
[63:44]Yazid woke up from having heard this cry.
[63:48]He turned around.
[63:50]He said, "What was that?" They said, "Hussein's young one." He said,
[63:53]"What does she want?" said she wants to see her father.
[63:54]He said, "Then take her father's head.
[63:56]Let her see him." What happened to Al Muhammad can never be
[64:04]described by anyone who describes.
[64:08]They bought the head of Imam Hussein in a box into the
[64:13]room.
[64:14]Allah Akbar.
[64:16]She turned around when she saw the box.
[64:18]She looked at her auntie Zanab.
[64:19]She said, "Auntie, why do they bring me food?
[64:23]I'm not hungry.
[64:26]May Allah reward your tears.
[64:29]The moment she removed the cover of the box, she saw the
[64:36]head of in front of she called out, "Father, father, father, who's
[64:43]orphaned me as a child at this young age?
[64:48]Father, father, father, who's drenched your beard with all that blood?
[64:54]Father, father, father, who severed your head from your body?
[65:01]Father, father, father, who is there for these ladies with no cover?
[65:09]Then pin drop silence.
[65:12][Music] Take your heart to sham tonight.
[65:17]There is a with no one with her.
[65:23]I wonder how many times Zan said, "What does Zab have?
[65:33]What strength does Z have?" Imm gave his condolences to his auntie.
[65:40]There was a lady who was there.
[65:44]These ladies would come and take whoever needed washing and shrouding.
[65:48]May Allah never show you having to shroud your daughter, having to
[65:54]shroud your knees.
[65:55]That lady who took her body came back.
[65:58]She said, "Forgive me, I could not wash her body." Say, "Why?"
[66:05]She said, "Was she ill when she died?" Said to her, "No."
[66:11]She said, "Then tell me what are the blue marks all over
[66:14]the body?" Allahbar, those are the marks of the whips of Shimmer
[66:22]and the men of Shimmer.
[66:27]I leave you with this line.
[66:29]Only the connection with Allah could have made Zanab remain strong after
[66:34]that three-year-old girl died.
[66:35]Only her connection with Allah could have made her continue to live
[66:41]after Caribbella.
[66:40]Many of us would have died seeing that many girls, babies, fathers,
[66:46]uncles.
[66:49]When she got to Kbalah, she got to the grave of Abah
[66:56]Abdullah and she had only one thing to say to her.
[66:58]You gave me a number of Amanas.
[67:02]And I looked after all of them, but one I left in
[67:05]Sham [Music] with these tears.
[67:21]Raise your hands in all together.
[67:35]All the lovers of Zab together.
[67:48][Music] Ya Allah allow us to receive the zam and to perform
[68:01]the z of zam allow us to honor the of im hussein
[68:07]this year and every year Allah allow us to follow the example
[68:12]of sah zanisam in our lives ya Allah we pray for the
[68:17]originators of this maj Allah.
[68:18]Inshallah tomorrow we'll recite the makt of tomorrow afternoon here and inshallah
[68:24]tomorrow night we'll continue with the final malis in honor of we
[68:28]remember them with a but before it the loudest of your salawah
