[2:00]the stage just like every night the mecca youth for the maharam
[2:03]reenactment goodbye [Music] the cries of thirst from the children of IMAP
[2:43]Hussein were increasing thousands of men had gathered with one mission to
[2:49]kill the grandson of their prophet and loot his Camp a general
[2:53]abuse Army was Restless he was thinking of the big mistake he
[2:59]made that caused the map Hussein to come to karabala as he
[3:02]heard the cries of the children he began to Shake in sadness
[3:05]knowing he was the one who denied them access to water thought
[3:11]they only wanted to end the movement he could not believe all
[3:16]these men had come to kill Imam Hussein he found himself choosing
[3:20]between Heaven and Hell Haru knew he had to repent he rushed
[3:25]a Imam Hussein's camp broken with his head down in shame Imam
[3:29]Hussain came forward and asked who had approached how to cried out
[3:36]in regret and sorrow I am the one who first intercepted you
[3:41]I am the one who denied you water I am the one
[3:42]who prevented you from your path I am her do you think
[3:46]Allah will accept my repentance without any hesitation Imam Hussain welcomed her
[3:52]her back the Imam for forgiveness any man who sin immediately forgave
[3:56]him he asked her to join their camp but Hood wanted to
[4:02]be the first to fight and defend Islam he insisted and when
[4:05]the battle began Kota was among the first to give his life
[4:10]in the way of Imam Hussein when Hunter fell to the ground
[4:13]Imam Hussein rushed to him he told her your mother was right
[4:19]when she named you her free in this world and the next
[4:22]one Muhammad is Allah [Music] [Music] foreign [Laughter] foreign [Music] Emma now
[6:32]Bismillah [Laughter] For the Love of the Hussein Muhammad one of the
[7:00]most important objectives from the magellas of Imam al-hussein is to reform
[7:09]Our Lives reform our communities and our societies in fact reform is
[7:15]the whole reason why Imam revolted and made a stance and leaving
[7:23]Makkah Imam Al Hussein was very clear what his objective and what
[7:33]his mission was and it all centered around reform is he says
[7:50]I'm not rising to cause mischief and spill blood I am rising
[7:56]to bring reform to the ummah of my grandfather I'm rising to
[8:03]bring back the ummah back to its core back to rasulullah and
[8:10]back to the Quran this is the whole purpose of my mission
[8:13]and my dear brothers and sisters by attending these majalis we also
[8:19]must aim to make reform be our goal reform in our lives
[8:26]reform in our families reform in our community reform in our society
[8:31]but reform and um is not always easy sometimes some people are
[8:42]afraid of speaking out against the Injustice because it ends up jeopardizing
[8:46]your comfort it ends up jeopardizing your family and this is what
[8:55]happened to Imam and Hussein he could have stayed in Medina he
[9:01]could have lived and he could have given and he would have
[9:04]remained with his sons and with his children and with his family
[9:09]decided to take the path of his father and the path of
[9:18]rasulullah and the path of Reform the path of Justice standing against
[9:22]tyranny is not always an easy decision to make this is left
[9:28]all alone this is why courage turned against rasulullah and this is
[9:35]also why Imam Al Hussain was killed and Hadith he says he
[9:48]says do not be afraid of being on the right path do
[9:54]not be afraid of standing against Injustice even if you are the
[9:58]only one standing this is what we learned from this is what
[10:03]we learn from Imam Hussain alaihissalam he was the only one standing
[10:07]in front of an army of over thirty thousand so my dear
[10:15]brothers and sisters tonight I wish to discuss this topic in three
[10:19]points the first is what is the concept of and when is
[10:29]it obligatory upon me is it something that is wajib is it
[10:35]something that is obligatory upon me or is it something that other
[10:38]people are responsible for and where does this stem from where does
[10:42]this idea come from because some people they have the idea that
[10:47]if you're coming and telling someone this is right and this is
[10:50]wrong and you're doing um then you're getting involved in people's lives
[10:54]and some people they come and they say don't get involved in
[10:58]my life my my life and my choice you have no right
[11:02]to come and get involved in my life so where does this
[11:04]come from is this an obligation is this something recommended and what
[11:09]is the reason behind the concept of um second is when does
[11:18]this plot apply in our lives when does it become legible upon
[11:21]me to enjoin the good and forbid the evil when should I
[11:27]remain silent and when does it become a duty upon me to
[11:29]speak what are the conditions and the third point that we would
[11:39]like to address is what is our role today what are some
[11:42]issues what are some social issues that need to be addressed today
[11:46]and many of us or most people in society are quiet about
[11:53]so the first point my dear brothers and sisters Allah says in
[11:58]the Quran um if you want to be the greatest of ummah
[12:11]if you want to be the greatest nation you will be the
[12:17]greatest nation as long as you do these two things you enjoin
[12:24]the good you command the good and you forbid the evil you
[12:31]stop people you stop anyone from doing something wrong this is an
[12:35]obligation my dear brothers and sisters a lot of people they think
[12:41]that is a choice if I want to do it if I
[12:43]don't want to do it or let the Sheikh let the Sayed
[12:47]let people the leaders of the community this is up to them
[12:51]to do um but that's not the case is actually one of
[12:58]the obligations upon every Muslim you know in Islam we have the
[13:07]five and we have ten ten branches of our faith and Jihad
[13:20]these are the ten obligations so you see is at the same
[13:28]level as Salah it's at the same level as zakat it's at
[13:32]the same level as Hajj and all other obligations but many of
[13:35]us we live out that obligation now where does this idea stem
[13:42]from some people they come and they say I'm not comfortable to
[13:45]go and tell someone what you're doing is right and what you're
[13:48]doing is wrong and it ends up getting you in trouble the
[13:52]same way Hussein got in trouble with the authorities Hussein ended up
[13:55]getting killed because he told yazid what you're doing is wrong I
[13:59]don't agree with your ways so some people they come and they
[14:03]say where does this come from we shouldn't be individuals that are
[14:07]telling people do this and do that let people live their lives
[14:10]let people have the freedom to live however they want my dear
[14:14]brothers and sisters the concept of um it stems from love it
[14:23]stems from care caring for the person that you love if you
[14:27]have a brother if you have a sister if you have someone
[14:32]in your community that is in need of help don't you have
[14:34]a responsibility to come and guide this person don't you have a
[14:37]responsibility a moral and ethical responsibility to come and show this person
[14:42]the way of course you do Allah tells us that we are
[14:49]one um if you're a motman and the other person is a
[14:57]motman then you are brothers and sisters in Iman if my brother
[15:02]if my sister is suffering if my brother and sister they're going
[15:07]through difficulties and challenges in life I need to come and tell
[15:11]this person I need to guide this person not because I'm getting
[15:13]involved in their life I'm butting in their life no it's because
[15:20]I am caring because I'm loving because I am one Community we're
[15:24]all one community and this is why in Islam it's obligatory upon
[15:28]me if I see someone doing something wrong or not doing something
[15:32]correctly the way they're supposed to it's obligatory upon me to tell
[15:37]them to inform them he says the analogy of the Muslim ummah
[16:00]is like one body one body when one part of your body
[16:05]is in pain when one part of your body is not feeling
[16:10]well the whole body suffers the whole body turns on the alarm
[16:13]and this is how the body is subhanallah gives this example because
[16:17]this is how the body operates if you have one injury on
[16:23]your toe on your finger the body operates by sending white blood
[16:27]cells white blood cells they go to the place that is injured
[16:32]the place that is in need of healing and the body tries
[16:37]to cure itself and the whole body deals with this issue rasulullah
[16:41]says the Muslims should operate like the body operates where when one
[16:48]part of the nation with one group of people are not doing
[16:50]well then you have the duty you have the moral and ethical
[16:54]responsibility to guide the body and this is the same right now
[17:01]if you have a government there is a system in each government
[17:06]if one system if one like one or one part of a
[17:09]government is not functioning properly it is up to the government to
[17:13]try to fix it in a family in a corporation right now
[17:19]in organizations they have the auditing system maybe one part of the
[17:23]organization one part of the corporation is not doing well there's an
[17:25]audit system because if one part suffers then everything and everyone will
[17:36]suffer the one who overlooks if I saw if I saw someone
[17:39]is not doing something correctly if I saw someone suffering and I
[17:45]did not care I overlooked it I'm going to be accused of
[17:51]being negligent I'm going to be accused of seeing wrong and remain
[17:54]in quiet not doing anything about it right now in many cases
[17:59]if you see someone doing something wrong if you see someone being
[18:04]abused you have to tell the authorities you have to report this
[18:07]case if you don't you're going to be negligent and this is
[18:12]the same when it comes to speaking out against Injustice if someone
[18:17]is sinking the boat if someone is sinking the ship I have
[18:22]to speak out against this because this person is going to end
[18:25]up harming me and harming everyone else and remaining quiet and not
[18:33]enjoying the good and forbidding the evil is a sin that allows
[18:36]everyone to suffer and a Hadith he says he says do not
[18:54]leave the adjoining of the good and forbidding the evil because Society
[18:58]will slowly deteriorate Society will slowly fall back and then when you
[19:03]want to fix it it's going to be too late it's going
[19:07]to be too late when you see a problem you have to
[19:11]try to cure that problem as soon as possible a lot of
[19:15]people they come and they say but it's very uncomfortable for me
[19:18]sometimes I have to go and get involved in people's lives oh
[19:22]you're not doing this right you're not doing that wrong this is
[19:24]not my job maybe I'm going to miss out on opportunities maybe
[19:30]I'm going to be canceled maybe I'll lose my job maybe I'll
[19:33]lose my income he says in a statement he says this is
[19:50]not going to make your risk your sustenance less it's not going
[19:55]to bring death nearer the death that God has written for you
[19:58]that's the time that Allah wrote for you that is the sustenance
[20:06]the Allah has written for you now one question what about some
[20:14]people they come and they say but Allah is very clear and
[20:19]the Quran there's no compulsion in religion how do you reconcile between
[20:25]amerbull and joining the good and forbidding the evil and there's no
[20:31]compulsion in religion because some people as soon as you come and
[20:34]you tell them this is right this is wrong this is not
[20:36]you're not supposed to do this right away they say like there's
[20:39]no compulsion in religion no compulsion and religion is not talking about
[20:47]someone who's a Believer someone who's a Muslim is talking about someone
[20:52]who's not even a Muslim yet yes if someone is not a
[20:55]Muslim I do not have the right to come and enforce a
[21:00]belief on this person I do not have the right to enforce
[21:04]my values on someone that has not even accepted my religion but
[21:07]if someone has accepted my faith if someone has accepted my religion
[21:14]then that means we're all on the same boat that means if
[21:16]I'm suffering then this person is suffering if this person is suffering
[21:19]and indeed then I will be in need then we all are
[21:26]connected with one another then we're all on one boat we have
[21:28]to support one another and we have to be there for one
[21:33]another so this is how you reconcile between and honorable now my
[21:43]dear brothers and sisters when does it become our responsibility and our
[21:48]duty to speak out because there are some people out there they're
[21:52]the Haram police as soon as they see something like oh this
[21:57]is wrong this is wrong they like to sit and look for
[21:59]people's faults they'd like to sit and look at someone who's doing
[22:02]something wrong there are conditions not always you can't always come and
[22:11]do um there is a criteria there are conditions for um the
[22:16]first condition is that you must be qualified what does it mean
[22:22]to be qualified in enjoining the good and forbidding the evil the
[22:26]first is that the person who is carrying out this act they
[22:31]must know what is right and know what is wrong they should
[22:33]know they are come they should know the rulings and second they
[22:36]have to practice there's a lot of people they're not practicing they
[22:42]don't practice they do all of the Haram in the book and
[22:44]then when they see for example a lady not wearing hijab they
[22:47]come and they tell her oh you're doing this wrong you're doing
[22:49]this right this is wrong they like to sit and call out
[22:55]people while they themselves are not practicing Muslims this is nifak this
[23:01]is hypocrisy a few years ago Isis daesh they were a bunch
[23:04]of guys who are living in Europe they're they have addictions they
[23:10]have drug problem their child molesters they have issues they come and
[23:13]they said hey you know what let's go and establish an Islamic
[23:15]State and call out people for their right and the wrong this
[23:19]is what they did they were not even qualified to take up
[23:25]that position and they come and they tried to do and second
[23:30]condition for um is that there has to be a chance there
[23:36]has to be a probability that change will come if I know
[23:42]someone I know that this person there's a hundred percent chance that
[23:45]they will never listen to me they're not going to listen to
[23:49]me they're not going to be moved by what I say do
[23:50]I still have to come and tell this person no it's not
[23:55]my duty anymore because I know there's no chance or maybe my
[23:59]life is going to be in danger maybe I'm not going to
[24:01]be able to do anything than here it's not my obligation it's
[24:07]not my duty and third reason to practice is if the sin
[24:14]that is being carried out it is something that is done publicly
[24:18]if someone is sinning publicly in front of everyone then it becomes
[24:24]my responsibility and the responsibility of everyone to come and tell this
[24:28]person this is wrong but if someone is doing something in their
[24:31]private life someone is doing something in the privacy of their home
[24:34]is it my business to get involved in what they're doing in
[24:36]their home no it's not my business it's not my duty to
[24:42]come and see what people are doing in their pride in the
[24:44]privacy of their home and come and try to get involved yes
[24:48]when it becomes a public matter because then it becomes a danger
[24:54]to everyone it's not a danger just to that person it's a
[24:57]danger to everyone then you have the right to enjoin the good
[25:00]and forbid the evil and here we see Imam and Hussein he
[25:06]stood by doing um because these three main criteria they were met
[25:14]the first Imam Hussain was qualified he is the most qualified person
[25:18]is there anyone more qualified than Imam Hussain to enjoin the good
[25:23]and forbid the evil he was the most qualified person he is
[25:25]the son of rasulullah he's the purified family therefore he is the
[25:30]one who sees that he has a religious obligation to speak out
[25:34]second Imam and Hussain he saw that there was a chance that
[25:40]change will come why someone might say but thirty thousand they stood
[25:44]against him and they killed him yes but Imam Hussain he saw
[25:47]that there's a probability that change will come because he was invited
[25:52]to go to kufa eighteen thousand letters came from kufa inviting him
[25:56]in fact they told him if you don't come then it's Haram
[26:00]upon you because we're inviting you we're calling you to come so
[26:03]he saw that there was a chance otherwise why didn't choose kufa
[26:09]because kufa they sent letters to Imam Hussein and on the day
[26:12]of Ashura and the days before Ashura Imam Hussain he brought out
[26:15]the letters he carried the letters with him and he called out
[26:20]the names one by one those people who signed he called them
[26:23]he tells them didn't you say didn't you say come didn't you
[26:27]say come so this is a reason and the third reason stood
[26:34]against yazid because yazid was publicly carrying out crimes he was publicly
[26:41]sinning someone might say okay why didn't Hussein say something to or
[26:48]why didn't the other caliphs why didn't the other Imam speak out
[26:51]against the others because there was a major difference although are the
[26:55]same they're two sides of the same coin but yazid was publicly
[26:59]disobeying yazid was publicly announcing his blasphemy the first thing they told
[27:09]him when you have to give he said yes it is publicly
[27:18]sinning and this is something that is not even questioned by Muslims
[27:22]when they brought the head of Imam and Hussain in front of
[27:27]him yazid he started reciting poetry he says played with power there
[27:36]was no Revelation there was no messenger there was no jibra ill
[27:40]none of that he publicly said that he says now I'm taking
[27:44]revenge for what his father and his grandfather did to my ancestors
[27:52]in Badr look at the blasphemy publicly that the criteria was met
[27:58]and therefore he stood and he spoke out against yazid why didn't
[28:02]the other imams because the criteria was not like that of Imam
[28:05]Hussain of course the other imams they did speak out but they
[28:10]didn't have the loyal followers that Imam Hussain had they didn't have
[28:14]the supporters they didn't have people inviting them the probability and the
[28:18]chances for the other imams was much less this is why many
[28:21]years later people would come and tell Imam Sadiq and the other
[28:26]imams why don't you Revolt the imams they would tell them because
[28:29]the criteria is not being met the next time one of our
[28:32]family members will rise will be under the banner of Imam al-madi
[28:38]this is what the imams they would all say now my dear
[28:42]brothers and sisters the reason why we speak of this the issue
[28:48]of America is to bring it to the social vices and the
[28:52]challenges of our time right now are we going through challenges right
[28:57]now are there social issues that we are dealing with as a
[29:00]community as a society yes today we have a challenge we have
[29:14]an obstacle there are issues that need to be dealt with in
[29:19]our communities issues that are hurting us issues that are causing pain
[29:22]and suffering to many of our communities one of the issues that
[29:27]I wanted to address this is an issue that probably has affected
[29:31]every single one of us or we know someone that has been
[29:37]impacted by this and this is the issue of mental health issues
[29:41]the challenges that society and Community is facing as a result of
[29:47]mental health issues challenges of depression challenges of anxiety and stress and
[29:53]this leads certain individuals to go and practice and do drugs and
[30:01]it leads people to addiction and it leads people to many problems
[30:05]there are many problems that are caused as a result of mental
[30:08]health issues and this is something that needs to be addressed there
[30:12]are two types of addiction there's behavioral addiction and there is substance
[30:18]addiction and they're both lethal they're both distracting and disturbing to our
[30:24]community to our society right now we are in the month of
[30:33]July me just me I have dealt with three burials of Youth
[30:37]under the age of 30.
[30:38]as a result of mental health issues as a result of substance
[30:44]abuse as a result of Narcotics this is just me go and
[30:49]ask all of the other mashaya all of the other syeds all
[30:51]of the other religious Scholars they also have their own experiences and
[30:55]this is from our community what does this mean this means that
[30:59]this is a major issue this means that this is a serious
[31:03]issue that is affecting us and affecting our community and affecting our
[31:08]families and it needs to be dealt with it needs to be
[31:15]dealt with today there are some families that are being destroyed as
[31:19]a result of addiction as a result of opioid abuse as a
[31:24]result of Stress and Anxiety and the suffering and this we have
[31:30]a religious and moral obligation to speak out against it the same
[31:36]way we have the obligation to do um we have to take
[31:39]a stance against this type of issue right now what is the
[31:44]solution I want to focus on the solution rather than just focus
[31:47]on the problem one of the solutions is that we have to
[31:51]try to remove the stigma around talking about Mental Health talking about
[31:59]depression talking about the opioid addiction it's very sad sometimes you go
[32:07]and you see no one wants to talk about this problem people
[32:11]are suffering silently and no one wants to address this issue one
[32:14]brother was telling me I just wish people just talk about it
[32:19]just talk about it if you're suffering if you know someone that's
[32:21]suffering as a result of this is you talk about it to
[32:24]raise awareness but many of us we remain quiet we are suffering
[32:29]silently there are people that are suffering as a result of addiction
[32:32]as a result of depression as a result of mental health issues
[32:37]and it's regarded as something that is bringing you further away from
[32:41]Faith that's why people don't talk about it but it's just the
[32:45]problem it's a it's an issue that you're dealing with just like
[32:47]someone who has diabetes just like someone who has a heart problem
[32:51]when you have when you know someone who has a heart problem
[32:53]you come and you tell them this is the doctor or this
[32:57]is the doctor but when someone has a depression or someone has
[33:01]stress someone has anxiety someone is dealing with addiction everyone is quiet
[33:05]no one wants to address these issues so we have to raise
[33:11]awareness second we need to refer to professionals there are alhamdulillah many
[33:15]Professionals in this community many mental health experts many therapists many psychiatrists
[33:22]there there are experts and there is a solution to this problem
[33:27]you just have to go to the expert Sometimes some people they
[33:29]come and they reach out to me about a mental health issue
[33:33]I tell them listen I could help you with some duas I
[33:35]could help you with but this is not my expertise I will
[33:39]refer you to someone and I've referred many to individuals that could
[33:43]go and you go and you talk to the therapist you talk
[33:46]to the psychiatrist and you will find help we need to go
[33:52]to professionals when it comes to this issue a third solution my
[33:57]dear brothers and sisters and this is probably something that affects every
[34:01]single one of us is that we need to cut down from
[34:05]social media use social media it is what causes mental health suffering
[34:13]it's what causes addiction it's what causes cyber bullying it's what causes
[34:19]people to suffer silently and just a few weeks ago the U.S
[34:26]Surgeon General they released a statement that there is a direct correlation
[34:31]between mental health and social media especially in adolescence because when you're
[34:37]an adult you're not going to get affected by peer pressure you're
[34:41]not going to get affected by what you see on Instagram and
[34:44]what you see on Tick Tock and what you see on social
[34:46]media but when you're an adolescent what you see could affect you
[34:52]it could impact you negatively there's a lot of people they come
[34:56]in there scrolling on social media pages and they see something and
[34:59]then they come and they say why don't I have that image
[35:02]why don't I have this look or some people they're bullied they
[35:08]have issues that causes issues that brings people on the brink of
[35:14]suicide brings people to suffer silently and this is a major issue
[35:21]that we need to address another solution and of course probably some
[35:26]people won't take this but one of the most important solutions for
[35:33]mental health issues is faith in God faith in God that's it
[35:37]it's as simple as that yes we're not telling you to not
[35:41]go to professionals to not seek help not seek medical treatment and
[35:45]just pray we're telling you seek help go to the professionals but
[35:47]also keep God close to you because this Society teaches us that
[35:53]I will give you material Goods I will give you everything but
[35:55]take God out of your life when we take God out of
[36:00]our life we're never going to find a solution is the one
[36:07]who's created us he knows what we need and when you have
[36:12]faith in your life you're going to live a faithful lifestyle and
[36:16]that is going to keep you sane that is going to keep
[36:21]you healthy on Thursday nights go to Friday prayer read I tell
[36:26]Kirsty when you wake up before you leave the home these are
[36:30]all things that help these are all things that protect you because
[36:34]when you go to the Masjid what happens you're associating yourself with
[36:37]the right group of people you're associating yourself with many and with
[36:41]Believers and this is something that will help you and in fact
[36:47]I was reading their studies there are studies there was a study
[36:52]I read today from the Harvard School of Public Health the Harvard
[36:56]School of Public Health it says that people who attend religious services
[37:01]at least once a week were significantly less likely to die from
[37:06]deaths of Despair including deaths related to Suicide drug overdose and alcohol
[37:12]poisoning this is according to the Harvard School of Public Health so
[37:17]there's a direct correlation between having strong Iman and Allah by attending
[37:22]the Masjid by getting in a good group of friends that are
[37:26]God conscious this will help your mental health this will help you
[37:29]deal with the challenges the social challenges of the time so this
[37:36]is one issue my dear brothers and sisters the issue of mental
[37:40]health this is something that we need to address another very important
[37:46]Point second issue that we wanted to just discuss is an issue
[37:51]that affects all of our children your children and your grandchildren if
[37:56]you're in school you have definitely seen this and experienced this and
[38:01]this is the issue of indecent acts that are being pushed down
[38:10]our throats the issue of sexuality and homosexuality and gender change just
[38:18]a few weeks ago we had the books or a few months
[38:23]ago there were the books they go to the Dearborn schools and
[38:27]they see that the libraries are filled with books that are indoctrinating
[38:31]children young children about gender change you open a book and you
[38:36]see a guy has two dads and two moms and or encouraging
[38:41]people to change their gender pushing the the pride flag on young
[38:44]kids this is a major issue that we're dealing with right now
[38:48]someone might come and say no you know don't get into this
[38:52]issue this is a political issue we're not talking about politics right
[38:56]now right now we're talking about our kids we're talking about protecting
[39:01]our kids and our kids are being exposed to certain things that
[39:05]we would not be able to watch with our kids together right
[39:09]now would you sit and watch TV something that is indecent with
[39:13]your own kids sitting next to you you wouldn't want to do
[39:16]that but the teachers and the schools are showing your kids without
[39:21]you acknowledging without you allowing it right now if there's a active
[39:25]shooter in a school are you going to send your kids to
[39:29]that school you're not going to send your kids to that school
[39:32]but right now just as an active shooter is dangerous to the
[39:37]body right now there's moral dangers that are perhaps more dangerous that
[39:42]all of our kids and all of our youth are being exposed
[39:46]to and we have to take a stance against this issue my
[39:48]dear brothers and sisters we have to speak out you have to
[39:52]speak out to your school board you have to speak out to
[39:55]the administrators if you have to take your kids out of the
[39:58]school then do it because these are your kids these are your
[40:04]your greatest investment in life is testing us with our kids right
[40:12]now you find some young youth young kids they're being pushed to
[40:16]change their gender they're being pushed to declare a sexuality that is
[40:20]different from that which they are really and this is a major
[40:28]issue right now some of these youth they talk to me and
[40:32]they tell me that at the schools it's become very normal one
[40:36]day a guy identifying as a male the next day identifying as
[40:39]a female and there's something that is even weirder where they're coming
[40:43]and they're telling me that there are some people identifying as cats
[40:46]and dogs and they're they're called furries or something like that where
[40:51]they're they're even identifying as something that is different they've moved on
[40:58]they moved way past that I mean I was surprised when I
[41:04]heard this but this is what they're telling me is going on
[41:06]in the schools right now so this is something that we have
[41:11]to be careful of would you want your kids to be exposed
[41:14]to this type of behavior would you want your grandkids to be
[41:18]exposed to this this is not something that we want we have
[41:24]to speak out against this and no we're not Democrats or Republicans
[41:27]we're not getting involved with political parties we just want to care
[41:30]for our kids why do you have to politicize Parenting why do
[41:34]you have to politicize this issue we just want to care for
[41:37]our kids is that too much to ask for here we have
[41:43]the responsibility of um many people are silent about this many people
[41:47]are sending their kids to school and they're dealing with these issues
[41:54]in fact this gender dysphoria this is a mental health issue it's
[41:57]a major mental health issue but no one wants to address it
[42:01]as a mental health issue because maybe some people are not going
[42:04]to feel comfortable or maybe you're going to be labeled as this
[42:06]political party rather than this political party I don't want to care
[42:11]I don't want to have anything to do with the political parties
[42:13]I just want to care for my kids if there's a major
[42:17]issue going on in the community in society and schools we have
[42:20]to deal with them we have to address them Allah he says
[42:28]to his companions he tells them is he says how will you
[42:46]be when your men are turning away from God and the women
[42:50]are doing indecent behavior and you are not enjoining the good and
[42:55]forbidding the evil the Muslims were surprised they tell him he tells
[43:04]them yes and it will be even worse than that he tells
[43:08]them there will come a time where you will enjoin the wrong
[43:17]and forbid the good and this is what we see happening right
[43:23]now if you want to say something if you want to speak
[43:24]out right away you get canceled right away you're not allowed to
[43:28]talk about this no no you might upset someone you might hurt
[43:30]someone I'm not trying to upset anyone I'm trying to protect my
[43:33]own children I don't want indecency I don't want my kids to
[43:39]be exposed to sexuality at a young age is that too much
[43:43]to ask for this is but today if you say anything if
[43:49]you speak out then you are going to be the wrong you're
[43:51]going to be the one who's canceled Allah he tells them it's
[44:04]going to be even worse than that you're going to your psychology
[44:09]is going to change your thinking is going to change you're going
[44:12]to start seeing the wrong as good and you're going to start
[44:14]seeing the good is wrong [Music] no no and this is what
[44:25]happens my dear brothers and sisters sometimes we get too attached to
[44:31]this Dunya we get too attached to paying the bills and going
[44:34]here and going there and living the American dream where we start
[44:37]forgetting about our principles and our values and our ethics and our
[44:45]clock this is what happened to the and enemies you think they
[44:48]woke up and they said we're going to kill Imam Hussain no
[44:51]they it was a gradual decline of morality and ethics that led
[44:57]them to karbala that led them to kill the very grandson of
[45:02]rasulullah foreign his whole mission was to enjoin the good and forbid
[45:16]the evil and the challenge of Imam Hussain was yazid today our
[45:21]yazid does these challenges that we're dealing with the challenges of mental
[45:25]health and addiction and suffering and losing our youth and our kids
[45:30]being exposed to indecent things in the school this is this is
[45:33]our challenge this is what we have to speak out against and
[45:38]if we don't speak out against it then what's going to be
[45:41]the difference with between us and those who were silent when they
[45:44]saw Imam Al Hussain being killed Salaam before leaving Mecca he kept
[45:56]inviting people and he reminds people what is the whole purpose of
[45:58]his movement he says he says I heard from rasulullah my rasulullah
[46:31]is his grandfather he says I heard from my grandfather rasulallah he
[46:35]says if anyone sees a sultan sees a leader a political leader
[46:42]that is breaking the boundaries of Allah that is oppressing people that
[46:48]is breaking the Sunnah of rasulullah and this person remains silent then
[46:52]Allah will throw you with that person Allah will throw you with
[46:55]that volume and the Hellfire and then he tells them if you're
[47:02]all silent I'm not going to be silent I'm going to speak
[47:06]out and he spoke out and Imam Hussain alaihissalam made the ultimate
[47:11]sacrifice he made the ultimate sacrifice to protect and defend this valuable
[47:15]religion until Imam Hussain was killed on the day of Ashura they
[47:21]kept trying to force him to agree with them agree with their
[47:26]ways he said I cannot accept that that's it I can't I'm
[47:30]the grandson of the prophet if everyone will agree and accept Injustice
[47:34]I cannot accept it and he did not and Imam Hussain was
[47:42]killed and to to prove themselves they said let's trample over the
[47:47]body of Imam saying let's behead him and let's parade his head
[47:50]all over the Muslim world so this becomes a lesson so that
[47:56]no one should dare speak out against yazid so that no one
[47:59]should dare speak out against that establishment now they thought that they
[48:03]did something they thought that they achieved something now Imam Al Hussain
[48:07]has become a symbol of all Revolutions a symbol of all revolutionaries
[48:13]every Revolution they come and they look at Imam and Hussein as
[48:20]their inspiring leader from Gandhi to others they come and they look
[48:23]at Imam Hussain he is the he is the prime example to
[48:27]look at of someone who stood against the Injustice and the oppression
[48:31]of his time was killed on the day of Ashura and the
[48:39]family of Imam Al Hussain were heading back tonight I want to
[48:45]remember one honorable lady she was not in karbala but she sent
[48:48]four of her sons to defend them four of her sons to
[48:56]give their life and give everything that they had for the sake
[49:02]of Allah and that was um is the mother of Abbas and
[49:13]the brothers and she raised her kids in such a way even
[49:19]though they're the brothers of Imam Hussain because their father is but
[49:23]she raised her kids in a way to sacrifice everything for the
[49:30]sake of Imam Hussain this is why on the day of Ashura
[49:37]al-abas and his brothers they all went one after the other and
[49:40]they will they were killed on the day of Ashura as the
[49:45]Caravan of Imam al-hussein is returning back to Medina many months later
[49:49]Imam he sees one of the narrators by the name of bishoplam
[49:56]he tells him oh I want you to enter Madina and break
[50:03]the news and tell people what has happened to Imam al-hussein he
[50:10]rides his horse and he enters into the City and he begins
[50:19]to call out yeah this is not a city to live in
[50:32]anymore the people of Madina they all came out asking him what
[50:36]has happened what kind of news are you breaking to us he
[50:42]tells them I will break the news next to the grave of
[50:47]rasulullah the people of Madina they gathered next to the grave of
[50:56]rasulullah then he tells them [Music] the old people of Madina this
[51:09]is not a city to live in anymore because Hussein was killed
[51:13]and my tears are streaming down my face while his head was
[51:35]paraded from City to City as Bishop hadlam is speaking a lady
[51:45]she comes to him she tells him o man who's breaking the
[51:54]news tell me about my boy my son Hussein he says I
[51:57]asked about her they tell me this is um the wife of
[52:02]the mother of Abbas and the brothers my condolences to you for
[52:21]your son Jafar she tells him tell me about my son Hussein
[52:25]he tells her Adam Allah she tells him tell me about my
[52:36]son Hussein then he tells her about Abdullah then he tells her
[52:40]um [Music] my condolences to you you lost your son Abbas his
[52:50]arm arms were cut off in the battlefield she tells him you
[52:59]have broken my heart tell me about my son Hussein he tells
[53:08]her name [Applause] Jose my condolences to you for the loss Hussain
[53:24]went into her home into the home of Imam and Hussein and
[53:29]she tells them do not allow anyone to enter on us we've
[53:35]gone through such a difficult Journey now we want to rest we
[53:38]don't want anyone to come and visit us a lady at the
[53:43]door she tells her Hosanna there's a lady she says I am
[53:46]also grieving with you I have also shared in this journey with
[53:52]you she says I am um you are gone and zainab calls
[54:23]out oh my brother Abbas how I miss you and um they
