[0:00]inaudible llahu anhum or accelerometer tiara respected brothers and sisters Salam alaikum
[0:09]warahmatullahi wabarakatuh inshallah we will continue on with the laws of fasting
[0:17]and inshallah in this session we will try to conclude the laws
[0:21]of fasting of course I just wanted to add that not every
[0:27]single law regarding fasting has been mentioned and there are many other
[0:32]laws that are out there and more specific details that if you're
[0:36]looking you're looking into them and you want to you want to
[0:43]increase your knowledge regarding these laws then I recommend you go and
[0:49]look at the book of Messiah L of your merger and many
[0:56]of the Messiah and are online easily accessible online and you could
[1:01]read through them I just chose some of the ones that stand
[1:03]out and some of the important ones so with that we will
[1:12]inshallah continue on with the course so we mentioned who for we
[1:17]mentioned what invalidates the fast and we mentioned when it is makrooh
[1:26]too fast or what is what are the karate what is ma
[1:29]cruel to do while fasting and we also talked about the Kafala
[1:34]in the previous session now today we will continue with those whom
[1:40]fasting is not obligatory upon as we know fasting is something that
[1:45]if if if the conditions apply to you then fasting becomes obligatory
[1:51]upon you all of the laws of allah subhanaw taala the obligations
[1:56]that we have sometimes it does not apply to me for example
[2:02]had-had allah says in the quran when Aniyah allen nasa had john
[2:06]bait - aha lady sabina in order for Hajj to become obligatory
[2:11]upon you you have to be capable naturally capable physically capable same
[2:16]with sadaqa charity zakat you have to have money you have to
[2:22]you have to be rich you have to have this resources in
[2:24]order to give if you don't have then allah subhanaw taala is
[2:29]not going to expect from me now same with fasting fasting Allah
[2:33]says in the Quran when Allah Allah says in the Quran kuiba
[2:37]alaikum o Zion kamikochi by Allan Levene Amman public um and then
[2:43]in the following verses mankind a marathon or a laissez-faire and atonement
[2:48]a Yamanaka one of the exceptions is if someone is sick or
[2:51]someone is travelling and we know that now there are other exceptions
[2:55]that are in the details and you'll find them in the details
[3:01]of the books of the laws one of them is old age
[3:06]if someone is extremely old where they feel that if they fast
[3:09]they're going to put their lives in danger they're going to put
[3:12]their health in danger they might get a stroke they might get
[3:16]a heart attack something might happen to them and the doctors are
[3:19]advising them not to fast or they feel they know that if
[3:25]they fast it's going to make them you know faint it's going
[3:28]to make them get ill and sick then in this case fasting
[3:35]is not obligatory upon them so old age or a fasting causes
[3:39]excessive difficulty for a person then fasting is not obligatory instead you
[3:46]give one mode nvidia which we said what a mood is a
[3:54]3/4 of a kilo seventy seven hundred fifty grams of food which
[3:57]is day to rice or barley or grain or flour you give
[4:02]that to a person instead of that day now of course we're
[4:04]going to talk about when that's given and how that's given say
[4:10]for example someone was old and they couldn't fast when fasting was
[4:13]in the summer when the days were long however they can bear
[4:18]it when when the days are shorter so say the time changed
[4:20]or you move to you go to a different country you go
[4:25]to a different place a different town where now fasting is in
[4:28]the winter like here in the in the westcoast fasting in the
[4:32]last few years it's been in the summer the days have been
[4:34]very long but if you go to Australia for example the days
[4:38]are very short because they have winter over there so if someone
[4:41]goes over there and they see that even though they're old or
[4:43]it causes excessive difficult for them but they can tolerate it they
[4:49]can't bear it the following year then they have to fast or
[4:52]even if they had from the time that they did not fast
[4:56]until the next Ramadan if there was a time for them that
[4:59]they were able to make it up then they would have to
[5:02]make it up so if there's ever an opportunity for them that
[5:06]they can make it up that difficulty is gone or even because
[5:10]of old age and they you know they went somewhere where they
[5:13]are able to fast then they should be within a year period
[5:18]now those who have an illness which makes them feel excessive thirst
[5:22]and a Bosch that's an attached they call them some people they're
[5:26]taking medication where they have to drink so much water and they
[5:29]feel thirsty it's you know it's not the normal type of thirst
[5:34]we all feel thirsty when we're fasting this is something that is
[5:38]excessive thirst there is also an exception for this person and this
[5:41]is because it's an illness now not because it's you know someone
[5:45]who's just feeling thirsty you can't just because you're feeling thirsty if
[5:50]it's diagnosed under an illness then in this case they would be
[5:54]excused from fasting another excuse is if someone did not fast due
[6:01]to old age explanation of what we mentioned if someone did not
[6:03]fast due to old age they're able to fast the following month
[6:05]if they are then they should make it up based on recommended
[6:10]precaution so if they can make it up after the month of
[6:12]ramadhan say they went somewhere else where the day was shorter the
[6:18]now that a lot of time the it's in the winter so
[6:20]you could probably fast in the winter when the days are so
[6:24]short then based on recommended precaution you should make it up for
[6:28]the for the ones who are of old age now fasting is
[6:32]not obligatory on a pregnant woman approaching the time of delivery al
[6:38]Hamelin mukarat meaning the lady that is towards the end of her
[6:43]pregnancy if she feels or experts are telling her and she believes
[6:51]what they're saying that this fasting is going to harm her or
[6:55]it's going to harm her unborn child then fasting is not obligatory
[6:58]upon her now in this case what she would do is she
[7:04]would have to give a mud of food to a poor person
[7:09]750 grams for each day that she missed and she must make
[7:11]up the fast she did not keep so later on she'll be
[7:16]able to make up the fast whether a year passes or two
[7:18]years or whenever then once the excuse is lifted after she gives
[7:25]birth then now it becomes obligatory upon her to make it up
[7:31]now a breastfeeding woman can make up the fast later if breastfeeding
[7:35]is the only means of feeding the child this is also a
[7:40]very important issue say a lady she was pregnant she was not
[7:44]able to fast but later on she's going to be breastfeeding she's
[7:47]going to be feeding the child now here different folk AHA different
[7:52]scholars they have different opinions say it's his tani he's a little
[7:57]bit more strict with this issue he says that based on obligatory
[8:02]precaution a Fiat would you be that she should fast unless her
[8:07]feeding the child is the only means of feeding the child so
[8:14]today a lot of a lot of a lot of people they
[8:19]have they have other ways of feeding the child say for example
[8:22]even back then even before say for example more than one lady
[8:26]they would feed a child they would circle a child so if
[8:28]that's an option then that would have to be an object or
[8:34]say for example now there's formula if there's formula and if that's
[8:38]an option for you then that would give you for example time
[8:44]to and you the lady could feed once or twice she wouldn't
[8:48]need to feed so much where she would feel that her that
[8:54]her milk supply would get less so this is at the end
[8:56]of the days I know some woman they say that yes but
[9:00]this might have a long-term effect on their on the health of
[9:03]the child if that would cause garage and that would cause extensive
[9:09]harm and she feels that it causes extensive harm to herself and
[9:13]to to her child then this is an issue of obligatory precaution
[9:19]she could go and follow the next-in-line murder someone who she believes
[9:23]as the as the second Adam the second most knowledgeable person after
[9:28]sate Sistani and if that person allows then she would just follow
[9:32]that person in that scenario now we said when and when it's
[9:38]not obligatory when it's not obligatory that means fasting does not watch
[9:43]it you should not fast but sometimes it becomes forbidden sometimes it
[9:48]becomes hard on not only should you not fast but it will
[9:51]also be Haram to fast during that day because you're doing Tesla
[9:56]God said something and you're coming and you're saying something else one
[10:00]of those examples is on the days of eight we have of
[10:04]course two aides that fasting is Haram on the Adel feta and
[10:10]Eden of high elf it was the first of Chauhan and Idol
[10:12]of high is the tenth of the Heba and that's the aid
[10:17]of the hatch so those days it is Haram it is forbidden
[10:22]to be fasting for all Muslims whoever you are or so Allah
[10:24]would not fast the amount would not fast even people that faster
[10:27]whole year those two days they cannot fast now what about the
[10:33]other aids like Edom Kadir demands our aid those days there you
[10:36]are a lot too fast in those days it's just these two
[10:40]days these two are aids Adel further and Aiden AHA where it
[10:44]is forbidden to fast during during those days now also another day
[10:51]another circumstance if when it would become Haram is if a recommended
[10:59]fast a favour of a woman conflicts with the conjugal rights of
[11:02]her husband and when we say the conjugal rights as the captain
[11:06]Fache the right of intercourse with her husband if that conflicts with
[11:10]it if that would conflict with it because of her fasting then
[11:18]she cannot fast in that scenario also an unassigned obligatory date for
[11:22]example she made a vow to fast but did not assign the
[11:28]day so she didn't either to fast one day out of this
[11:30]month and she did not assign the day so she didn't make
[11:33]it watch him on that day for example she didn't say this
[11:36]particular Friday for example she just said any day it wasn't assigned
[11:42]if that day that was not assigned she chose to fast on
[11:45]that day and it conflicts with her husband's rights the conjugal rights
[11:49]of her husband then the fast is invalid and it does not
[11:55]fulfill the vow so she would have to do it another day
[11:59]so this is regarding the conjugal rights of the husband and furthermore
[12:04]scholars they go further they say the recommended precaution is that she
[12:09]should not keep a recommended fast without the consent of the husband
[12:14]so allah subhanaw taala wants us to maintain our family say for
[12:19]example the family is all getting together and they want to eat
[12:24]they want to have they want to have a barbecue whatever it
[12:26]is they want to enjoy time together and she says I want
[12:29]to fast today it's a recommended fast it's our job and whenever
[12:33]it is it's recommended it's not Haram if she does even if
[12:40]it doesn't come conflict with the conjugal rights of the husband but
[12:43]if it would conflict with the conjugal rights of the husband and
[12:46]that's a different issue become Haram however it's a recommended precaution in
[12:50]this case that she would consent the husband and the husband should
[12:54]also consent the wife so that they do it together because the
[12:58]whole purpose of fasting is to seek nearness to allah subhanaw taala
[13:00]and by seeking nearness to allah subhanaw taala we have to respect
[13:07]the rights of those around us these spouses with one another so
[13:10]this is the the wife seek the consent of the husband regarding
[13:14]this issue now if a recommended fast for a child now we
[13:22]move on to the child if a child is fasting and the
[13:24]child is allowed to fast say the child is not by Livia
[13:29]do you know eight nine ten whatever that age for the boys
[13:31]for the girls a little bit younger they want a fast but
[13:35]the parents they come and say no you know what I don't
[13:37]want you to fast I feel sick I feel that you're going
[13:42]to get sick I feel I'm worried for you here scholars say
[13:44]it is unlawful for the child to continue fast so the parents
[13:48]they have the right to tell their children not to fast and
[13:53]it would become Haram upon their children to fast and if fasting
[13:59]causes significant harm to the parents oh excuse me this time it's
[14:03]to the individual so we talked about the trip the trial now
[14:07]if fasting causes significant harm to a person so say for example
[14:14]I feel that if I'm going too fast I'm going to fall
[14:16]ill not I'm going to get weak I'm going to get a
[14:19]headache and and this and that no it's something that is out
[14:24]of the ordinary something that is not normal not what normally everyone
[14:28]who's fasting feels if you feel for example you don't to get
[14:31]diabetes if you feel that you're going to get a stroke if
[14:34]you feel that something is going to happen to you and you're
[14:36]certain about that then in this case you don't fast and you
[14:44]preserve your life and then you make up the fast later but
[14:46]every single person they determine the harm for themselves a lot of
[14:51]people they come and they they call me say it they call
[14:54]the scholars and they tell them their circumstances the scholars they say
[14:57]you're the one who determines what you know your self better than
[15:03]anyone else so if you feel that fasting is going to be
[15:06]harmful for you and you know that then you should not fast
[15:12]if the doctor is telling you it's going it's it's not harmful
[15:15]for you and you feel you know that it's harmful for you
[15:20]also in this case you don't fast if the other way around
[15:22]if the doctor is telling me if you feel that you're okay
[15:25]you can fast and the doctors telling you is recommended you not
[15:29]too fast but you know that you can fast then you go
[15:34]on with what you feel but it's always good to take the
[15:36]advice of doctors and others but at the end of the day
[15:40]it's how you feel and you determine for yourself so recently yesterday
[15:43]or two days ago a new fatwa came out by Sage Sistani
[15:47]and you could find it on the website obsessed on Ian regarding
[15:52]coronavirus and he's basically saying the same thing he's saying that if
[15:56]you feel that even if you're protecting yourself you're wearing a mask
[16:00]and you're you're secluding yourself and all of that and you feel
[16:03]that you are certain that you're going to get sick if you're
[16:06]fasting then in this case don't fast but you make the judgment
[16:11]you make the judgment call and fasting is not an issue of
[16:15]you know someone else monitoring us allah subhanaw taala makes you you
[16:21]monitor yourself otherwise people who are fasting they could go and open
[16:24]the fridge when no one's looking and they could eat the issue
[16:28]is about having self-control the issue is about having taqwa and you
[16:36]controlling yourself and you knowing what's best for you but if you
[16:39]know if you have certainty that you're going to get sick then
[16:41]here you can break the fast according to the Fattah way of
[16:47]the the fat our of the scholars said Sistani sure berries and
[16:50]Johnny and I'm I believe more scholars will well you know as
[16:53]time gets closer to the month of Ramadan they'll probably be saying
[16:59]the same thing it's not something specific regarding the coronavirus it's a
[17:03]general statement if you know that you're going to fall ill because
[17:07]of fasting then in this case you should not fast but we're
[17:10]not talking about normal you know just feeling fatigued and feeling tired
[17:16]we're talking about someone who's seriously falling ill and you know experts
[17:21]are telling him that or heard that you are going to fall
[17:23]ill as a result of fasting not as a result of exhausting
[17:27]yourself at work or doing something else as a result of fasting
[17:30]itself so if someone who believes that fasting does not harm him
[17:34]does not harm as fast they fast and after Maghrib they find
[17:43]out that fasting has caused significant harm here then based on obligatory
[17:49]precaution they must make it up so here because Allah says that
[17:51]the person who's fast the person who's sick fasting is not even
[17:55]logic upon you on that day so you can't fast you would
[17:58]have to make it up just like if you're travelling you can't
[18:00]say you know what I'm travelling or I'm sick but I'm not
[18:04]that sick I could I could you know fast of course sickness
[18:08]has levels so say for example you have a flu then you
[18:12]could go ahead and fast if it's not going to cause you
[18:14]serious harm but say for example you have heart issues you have
[18:17]diabetes and you're going to faint as a result of fasting then
[18:24]then then fasting is not even obligatory so if someone believes that
[18:29]fasting does not harm them but later on towards the end of
[18:33]the day or even after Maghrib they realize that they got sick
[18:36]as a result of that particular fast then they have to make
[18:38]up that day so this is something to think about now there
[18:46]are recommended mustahab fast recommended day is too fast in general fasting
[18:51]any day of the year except the forbidden days the - forbidden
[18:55]days that is a recommended day to fast and then there are
[19:01]specific recommended days of fasting scholars have pointed out based on hadith
[19:05]the first and the last Thursday of each Islamic month when we
[19:08]whenever we say month we mean the Islamic month so the first
[19:11]and last Thursday of each Islamic month and the first Wednesday after
[19:18]the 10th of the month so once you pass the 10th then
[19:20]the next Wednesday that comes the 10th of the Islamic month the
[19:28]next Wednesday that comes that is also and a recommended day to
[19:31]fast also they added build or attach late in the 13th the
[19:35]14th and the 15th of each month that's one day when the
[19:40]moon is a full moon it is highly recommended to fast on
[19:45]those days of every month any month as long as it doesn't
[19:47]fall on a day of aid of course a day where it
[19:52]is too fast the entire month of rajab and Shaban every single
[19:56]day there is a specific step of recommendation to fast on those
[20:01]particular days also the 4th to the 9th of Chauhan and this
[20:08]is three days after 8:00 because a 10-footer is the first of
[20:11]chauhan and then the second and the third those days keep them
[20:15]for celebration and then from the fourth to the ninth and the
[20:18]wisdom behind us is this is for some of those who did
[20:22]not fast during the month of Ramadhan this is an opportunity for
[20:25]you to make up the fast especially for the woman who are
[20:29]on their menstrual cycle this is an opportunity for you to seek
[20:33]extra thorough and fast and a lot of people you know a
[20:36]lot of people they do want they do that because even their
[20:41]bodies have not fully adjusted to going back to eating and they
[20:43]their their body is still used to the fast so that's an
[20:46]opportunity to get rid of something that is obligatory upon you to
[20:51]get it out of the way immediately the first nine days of
[20:54]the head jaw including the day of Arafah which is the ninth
[20:59]of the Metra that is highly recommended to fast of course if
[21:02]someone is an out of facts or someone is not an out
[21:06]of fat but they want to do that man and they feel
[21:09]like if they fast on the day of Arafah they won't be
[21:13]able to do that man then they should not fast but if
[21:14]they feel like they have the strength they have the energy to
[21:18]do the Atma and the worship of the ibadat of the day
[21:21]of Arafah then they can go ahead and fast and it is
[21:23]recommended the day of ready or the eighteenth of the Hodja the
[21:29]aid of nadir but this is a eight that it is okay
[21:34]too it is okay to fast on that the day of the
[21:35]prophets birth the 17th of Ramayana when the day of the member
[21:41]the day the 27th of Rajab when the Prophet was commissioned commissioned
[21:45]to deliver the message of Sam day the day of that one
[21:48]arrow and that I believe is in the month of Garuda and
[21:57]also if someone keeps a recommended fast it is not obligatory on
[22:05]this person to complete it so say for example you woke up
[22:09]and you decided to fast on that day either you made the
[22:14]intention before you slap the for bed job or as we said
[22:17]for a recommended fast you could make the intention after Federer you
[22:21]could even make the intention after noontime it's you have all of
[22:25]this you know freedom to make the intention whenever you want with
[22:28]regards to recommend it fast if you are regularly fasting based on
[22:33]just to recommend it fast it's not Allah and it's not a
[22:37]watch of fast or it's not a designated watch of fast like
[22:42]a knitter basically you're saying I'm doing another on this day it
[22:47]is not obligatory on this person to complete the fast in fact
[22:50]if a believer if a fellow believer invites you to eat it
[22:56]is recommended for you to accept the invitation of the believer and
[23:00]to break your fast during the day even if it's after the
[23:04]whole so say for example you're doing the most hot fast and
[23:07]Rajab and shop on or in any of these days it's a
[23:11]recommended fast and a moment invites you here it is recommended to
[23:15]accept the to accept the that wa the invite of the movement
[23:21]of the believer and a loss of Hannah Montana will give you
[23:25]the reward of fasting even if it's after the hall so there
[23:28]are a lot of people a lot of them it's a fee
[23:31]and we know I know some scholars and Rajab Shaban every day
[23:35]they do the intention of fasting and then if they get lucky
[23:38]someone is going to let them go ahead and continue the day
[23:43]or if they get even luckier someone is going to invite them
[23:46]for breakfast or for lunch so if they get invited they accept
[23:49]the invoice if they didn't get invited they continue that day of
[23:53]fasting now some people they do this thinking that someone else is
[23:56]going to invite them but the other person turns out to be
[24:00]fasting too so if you're fasting you can't invite another person who
[24:04]is fasting so it is good to fast the days that you
[24:08]can especially in the month of Rajab Shaban tried to fast as
[24:12]much as but if someone invited you it's okay to accept the
[24:14]invites and a loss of Hana Hana will not subtract from your
[24:20]from your good deeds because satisfying and bringing comfort to the hearts
[24:22]of the believer this is also something that has great reward now
[24:27]there are times when it is recommended mr.
[24:31]hat for a person to abstain from things that invalidate the fast
[24:35]so so even if you're not fasting in this case we're saying
[24:41]you're not fasting but you have to it's much to have to
[24:45]not do things that continue breaking the fast because as we we
[24:51]know the month of Ramadhan has its own Karma it has its
[24:55]own sanctity so the month of Ramadhan even if you're not fasting
[24:58]you should act as if you are fasting don't eat in front
[25:03]of people don't go out and eating and public this is something
[25:06]that will take away from the sanctity of the month of Ramadhan
[25:10]so these are the times when it is recommended for a person
[25:14]to abstain from things that invalidate a fast even if they're not
[25:17]fasting so a traveler who has done something that invalidates a fast
[25:22]but they reach their home or or where they're saying before the
[25:28]Lord so if they had not done something that had invalidated the
[25:30]fast and they had reached their home before noon they would have
[25:34]had to continue that day but because they already broke their fast
[25:37]outside the city say your lat your flight lands in your own
[25:41]City or a place where you're staying for ten days it lands
[25:43]at 9:00 a.m.
[25:45]now if you had not eaten anything if you had not done
[25:48]anything to break the fast you could continue that day as a
[25:53]day of fasting but say you had broken the fast but now
[25:55]that you came to your city here it is most apt to
[26:01]refrain from anything that breaks the fast so don't eat don't you
[26:03]know don't do anything that would break the fast it's much too
[26:08]hot doesn't mean that you are obliged to so you can drink
[26:10]water if you got thirsty but it is recommended to feel what
[26:14]the people who are fasting you feel what they're feeling as well
[26:18]similarly a traveler who after the they reached their home town or
[26:22]a place where he intends to for ten days also if you
[26:27]reached afternoon you know that you can't you can't pass for that
[26:30]day because you already landed afternoon you should also it won't be
[26:34]counted as a day of fasting of course but it's much to
[26:37]have to abstain from things that invalidate the fast and Allah will
[26:40]reward you for that but you would have to make it up
[26:44]of course now also a sick person who gets better after the
[26:50]whole say you you were sick but then after though you feel
[26:52]totally okay and the doctor said you could fast but you had
[26:55]already broken your fast now you act it's much to have to
[27:01]also not do anything which would break the fast similarly if he
[27:04]gets better before the hora and has done something that invalidates a
[27:07]fast and in case she has not done anything that invalidates a
[27:12]fast and based on obligatory precaution he must fast on that day
[27:18]so if you have not done anything and he has not done
[27:21]anything that involved it so fast and based on obligatory profession he
[27:26]must fast on that day so that day becomes a day of
[27:29]fasting now a woman who's hive orna fast stops during the day
[27:35]so as we know a lady who's in the hive or in
[27:39]the in the fast she is she could go and eat of
[27:40]course it is also she shouldn't eat in front of people she
[27:45]could go you know somewhere where to keep the sanctity of the
[27:48]month of Ramadan but say for example the new fast or the
[27:54]hive stopped in the middle of the day now she's perfectly healthy
[27:57]there's nothing wrong with it there's nothing wrong with fasting she has
[28:01]the energy but she can't fast that day because her her period
[28:09]continued into the day of that particular day of fasting however it
[28:12]is recommended to act as if she's fasting and refrain from anything
[28:15]which would invalidate the fast but she would have to also make
[28:20]it on someone who becomes Muslim during the day and they had
[28:24]already broken the fast so say someone broke their fast and then
[28:28]they became a Muslim someone who's an on Sunday Muslim in the
[28:32]mill noon on the day of Brahma act as if that day
[28:36]you're fasting and refrain from anything it is recommended for a fasting
[28:41]person to perform mega ribbon ashot prayers before breaking the fast so
[28:46]before you break the fast it is must have to do the
[28:48]mother and their shot prayers however if someone is waiting for you
[28:51]or you're drawn to the food you're so hungry that you can't
[28:56]even think you can't even concentrate in your prayer you're you're standing
[28:59]in the mob you're standing you're praying to God but your heart
[29:03]is where the where the soup is and where the dates are
[29:07]it is better that this person breaks their fast if you can't
[29:11]concentrate or there are other people waiting for you however as much
[29:14]as you possibly can you should perform the prayers within the prime
[29:18]time walks and Felina baktun Felina is about you know the first
[29:24]10 15 20 minutes of the prayer time that's what's in favilla
[29:28]that's the time that the reward is the highest as as far
[29:33]as you get away even if it's not abaya as far as
[29:35]you get away from the time of the prayer the reward will
[29:40]get less what's in Felina is the first first few minutes first
[29:43]you know 15 10 20 minutes of the of the of the
[29:49]prayer time that's the time to pray a lot of people they
[29:52]say yeah you know what there are people waiting for me or
[29:55]I'm really hungry I won't be able to concentrate in my prayer
[29:57]and then they go and they eat and then they say okay
[30:00]I'm tired right now and then they go lay down and they
[30:03]start watching a movie and then they do this and do that
[30:06]and then they remember I haven't prayed yet so we have to
[30:11]make sure that prayer is you know we do not neglect cratered
[30:14]some people they fast and Ramadan but they don't pray so this
[30:17]is something that we have to keep in mind however it is
[30:22]recommended to perform the mother of in a shot prayer before but
[30:26]if there's someone waiting for you or you can't then in this
[30:31]case go and eat and then come back and pray as soon
[30:35]as possible now here are some other issues when concluding this topic
[30:41]in this discussion fasting must must be made up for anyone who
[30:44]missed the fast within a year so if someone misses the fast
[30:49]they were traveling or they were sick you have a whole year
[30:52]to pick up the fast and you have to make it up
[30:54]it's just likes alive you missed your so now you have to
[30:57]make up your Salah you have to make up the fasting so
[30:59]people they die and they have days that they did not make
[31:04]up someone is going to have to make that up for them
[31:07]so this is this is something that we will be held accountable
[31:09]for on the day of judgement now if one year passed and
[31:14]you did not make up the fast you pay the fiddler which
[31:17]is 750 grams of food which is the month you pay you
[31:22]pay the Vidya if one year passed and you did not make
[31:26]it up and you were able to make it up you have
[31:27]to pay the video and you have to make it up now
[31:30]this is we're not talking about someone who broke intentionally broke the
[31:34]fast for that case they would have to pay the kuffara as
[31:37]well they would have to do the Cafaro which we mentioned what
[31:39]it is freeing the slave or fasting for two consecutive months or
[31:46]feeding 60 misaki now if someone was sick during the month of
[31:50]Ramadan and they did then they remain sick for a whole year
[31:55]a whole year they were not able to make it up then
[31:56]in this case they only paid the Vidya and they do not
[32:01]need to make up the fast so if someone for example they
[32:03]have a terminal illness they have diabetes they have something that they
[32:06]can't fast and they're not known to be able to fast the
[32:10]after or even if the day is shorter wherever they go then
[32:16]in this case they only pay the Fijian the 750 grammes but
[32:19]they wait a year they wait a year until they see that
[32:24]they could not make up those days then they would pay the
[32:26]fiddler because there's a chance that you heal there's a chance that
[32:29]you get better and you are able to and if you do
[32:32]heal and you do get better then you have to make it
[32:36]up within a year but if one year passes and you did
[32:37]not heal then you don't need to make up the fast the
[32:41]Hollywood jewel that's it you have one year that one year period
[32:44]if you did not make it up you only pay now the
[32:47]pit the Vidya is paid after one year of not being able
[32:53]to fast of course woman cannot fast while on the menstrual cycle
[32:57]or the estab menstrual cycle not this to have I'm sorry arrow
[33:01]is to hava here on the menstrual cycle or the the fastest
[33:06]Ahava they have to fast during this to happen so please you
[33:11]know I'm going to change this later on but please do not
[33:14]just read that it's women cannot fast while on the menstrual cycle
[33:17]or on the fast during the establecido have to pray and they
[33:22]do have to fast depending on what type of estava it is
[33:25]so there's a typo there the maximum cycle of estava or the
[33:30]fastest is ten days some woman they give birth and they say
[33:35]I've 40 days of no fuss this is a cultural thing forty
[33:37]days has no significance yes it takes you 40 days to rest
[33:41]to regain your power however the 10 days of the the 10
[33:48]days after the birth of seeing blood that is considered than the
[33:50]fast after that it is not enough us anymore now I could
[33:54]go into another height or it could be an [Music] estaba so
[33:58]it depends on me on the scenario now they must begin fasting
[34:03]after 10 days now if the cycle begins during the day of
[34:09]fasting fast becomes invalid and she must make up that day so
[34:16]say for example her site her period began after fajar or we
[34:19]can't began at noon or even began a few minutes before mother
[34:23]she was fasting the whole day but a few minutes before mockolate
[34:27]she got her monthly cycle her period then in that case that
[34:31]day she would would not be considered as a day of fasting
[34:35]and she would get she would have to make it up of
[34:39]course Allah Allah knows what's in the heart and Allah will give
[34:41]you the reward for it this is tablet this is following what
[34:44]allah subhanaw taala is ordering us to do now finally we will
[34:51]conclude with this the Kachin fathanah zakat and Fattah this is at
[34:55]the end of fasting after someone has fasted for the whole month
[34:59]now they the duty on the eve of eight is to give
[35:05]Zakaat and fitra the day of eight it is obligatory upon every
[35:08]person who's financially capable to give zakat and fatah and this is
[35:15]only the day of eid infer the aid after the month of
[35:17]the first of show up now a person who at the time
[35:25]of sunset guru on the eve of Eden felt is balanced and
[35:28]sane and not unconscious poor or a slave must give on his
[35:35]behalf and on behalf of those who are dependent on him so
[35:38]whoever's in your house even if someone is staying at your house
[35:43]as a guest and they're sleeping over at your house they're coming
[35:46]and they're spending it with you you have to give a saw
[35:48]so we were talking about mud which is 3/4 of a kilo
[35:52]we're excuse me which is yes 750 kilograms that's a mud that's
[36:02]the that's the Nvidia and for the kuffara for each person however
[36:06]this time on the day of 8 you give a saw they
[36:12]saw it which is 3 kilos 3 kilograms of food per head
[36:17]to someone who is entitled to receive the cut so say for
[36:19]example you have 5 people in your family you would have to
[36:24]give 3 kilos of food of the staple food for each person
[36:26]in your family so you would have to give for every person
[36:33]3 kilos so that is the zakat and fatah now the food
[36:35]that he gives must be must be considered to be a staple
[36:40]food in that town so say for example and the sound this
[36:44]is what people eat people eat dates people eat rice people eat
[36:47]wheat the food that is typical at the same level of the
[36:52]people in your town you give that say for example everyone in
[36:55]my area they eat meat all the time then I would have
[36:59]to give what is the value of meat say in a poor
[37:00]country people are eating some they don't they can't afford meat but
[37:06]they eat what's you know wheat or flour or other stuff then
[37:09]they would give they would give that what is what is basically
[37:12]shooting for their own town and their own condition now if someone
[37:17]cannot meet their family expenses for one year and does not have
[37:23]an occupation which would help they are not obliged to gives account
[37:25]this person is a fakir this person would receive this account so
[37:29]if how do you determine if you're a fakir say for in
[37:33]a year 12 months just for just you know as an example
[37:41]you need $12,000 to survive okay so if you do you have
[37:45]$12,000 right now if you do then you're not a or Balu
[37:52]what are you able to make $12,000 in a year if you
[37:59]are able to make 12,000 or more or more than 12,000 then
[38:02]you're not a but say for example you only make 10,000 in
[38:08]a year and you need 12,000 to survive then in that case
[38:11]you are also you are also it's not necessary for you to
[38:16]give the zakat and in this case you would be receiving these
[38:20]are cards now it becomes obligatory when does the cat and fertile
[38:25]become Lodge upon a person it becomes Rajab on the eve of
[38:30]the 8th so Layla till 8:00 the night of the 8th that's
[38:32]when it becomes why drip to separate it from your money you
[38:36]go and you put it separate or or we're not even talking
[38:37]about money because there's a cat and fur tonight it's best to
[38:42]give it in food so you have the option to go and
[38:45]give 3 kilos of food to the poor people and that's probably
[38:47]the best thing to do if you're giving money you should know
[38:50]you're giving money in place of the food so some people they
[38:55]just ask how much is it and they come and they give
[38:58]money they don't even know how it's going to be spent on
[39:00]some people they go and they buy you know they buy other
[39:03]things with it even when we give zakat and fatah to our
[39:05]organizations to the Moraga to the scholars what they do is they
[39:10]go and they buy food and they give it to the poor
[39:11]people so if you are able to buy food and purchase 3
[39:15]kilos of food and distribute it that is the best thing to
[39:18]do because the whole purpose when we were fasting in the month
[39:23]of Ramadan we the philosophy of fasting is to feel the hunger
[39:25]so now that you've felt the hunger now you come and you
[39:31]give others who are also feeling the hunger now of course you
[39:33]are allowed scholars say that you are allowed to give it before
[39:38]the day of Eid and you are allowed to give it from
[39:40]the 1st of Ramadan so in a few days when Ramadan begins
[39:44]you are allowed to give the Fattah you're allowed to give it
[39:49]but it's better to wait and give it on the day of
[39:51]AIDS some scholars they have discarded with that so give it on
[39:56]the eve of the ADA and on the morning of the 8th
[40:00]and it must be given when does it become a law when
[40:02]does it become late if you are praying salat z/28 if you're
[40:07]going to pray salat and eat then you have to give it
[40:09]before the Sun so allah says in the quran and in the
[40:14]surah allah Haman has that cow well that cannot be he for
[40:17]Salah always Salah is mentioned before the cat but in this case
[40:22]and this is the surah that we read in so that's an
[40:25]8 & F lament azúcar go give zakat purify yourself by giving
[40:29]zakat what that Callos not be he fasts and then remember the
[40:32]name of your Lord remember your Lord and pray so on the
[40:35]day of Eid a lot of people they go to the 8th
[40:40]prayer before you go give these a cat and then go and
[40:41]pray now if someone did not go for it prayer you have
[40:45]until noon time you have until noon time to give this a
[40:50]card and as we said the cat is better to be given
[40:51]in food so if you know a poor person you give it
[40:56]to them who does it who is it who should it be
[41:00]given to it is given to the poor the and we mentioned
[41:05]what is the poor and be MOT men who is the movement
[41:07]the movement is the shear the follower of the a debate now
[41:13]you say this is not fair this is not right you go
[41:15]and you give other other money you give sadaqa you give something
[41:19]else to others there's nothing wrong with that this there's a specific
[41:24]exception for this then it needs to go to the Shia to
[41:25]the followers of the a debate I am salam as long as
[41:29]they pray and they do not drink and they do not commit
[41:34]sins publicly this person if they're poor and their movement you can
[41:37]give them these are cards so you don't need to go and
[41:39]give it in the box and the mustard or you go and
[41:42]you give it if you know someone who is 4 you could
[41:45]go and you give it to that person and that is the
[41:48]best thing to do because giving sometimes you feel when you're giving
[41:52]it to someone who is in need this has its own different
[41:58]feeling so of course and you see that in the mosques they
[42:01]put say it box or the non say it box why it's
[42:03]because the Sayid's it's Haram for a say you to take sadaqa
[42:08]the logics of an optimist absent to take the watch of the
[42:10]obligatory which is in this case this is it the captain Farah
[42:15]it's Haram for a say it to take from the non say
[42:19]it say it's they take you know the sound sada of the
[42:21]forms or or you give a gift you give another way so
[42:25]I say it can give a non say it they say it
[42:30]can give a say it but a non say it cannot give
[42:33]a say it so the non say it has to give a
[42:38]tune on say it and the say it could give say say
[42:41]it and say it is anyone who's from the descendants of Benny
[42:45]Hashim from the descendants of Rasul Ahmad ascendance of bani hashem that
[42:50]this person is considered a say yeah now also another very important
[42:55]issue there's a cat the food or the money cannot be taken
[43:00]out of your town scholars say that this money should be spent
[43:03]in your town say you live in a particular area you go
[43:06]and you give it in that earlier area you have to go
[43:09]and make sure that the poor people in that area are are
[43:15]all fat then if there are no poor people in that area
[43:17]then you can go and give it outside of your area but
[43:22]this is something very important some you have to make sure that
[43:26]you feed the needy people that are close to you know even
[43:28]some of us we have family probably overseas and other places you
[43:32]have to this is a cat there's a specific exception to this
[43:36]a specific rule for this is that it has to be spent
[43:40]in your local area and it should not be taken out unless
[43:41]you know that there are no poor people or we already gave
[43:46]to the people in this area then you can take it out
[43:47]with this we will conclude the session when from the lillahi rabbil
[43:51]alameen wa sallahu hamid ansari long Sanada mud
