[0:13]wa sallahu allah sayidina muhammadin wa ala nabina bahrain lama tsong one
[0:22]we continue our discussion about the types of plain water whether it's
[0:31]water that has a source water that is flowing a big quantity
[0:37]of water a small quantity of water we continue our discussion into
[0:43]that so if you go to the middle of page 14 where
[0:48]we left from the last course we were discussing how water plain
[0:57]water becomes neji's becomes impure and to recap we said that there
[1:04]are three scenarios number one is if a drop of natascha uncleanliness
[1:11]falls in water that has a source and the water doesn't really
[1:17]change that drop is small it doesn't really change the color the
[1:22]taste or the smell does that water become neji's it does not
[1:29]become ninjas even if it's little as long as it has a
[1:30]source like a spring as long as it has a source it's
[1:35]thought that was the first state or the first scenario the second
[1:39]one is that if the natascha falls and that part of the
[1:46]water changes in color or taste or smell by that Najah so
[1:53]we said that part becomes neji's even if it's flowing water even
[1:57]it's a big quantity of water that part of the water which
[2:00]is affected by the new joste and you can visibly see the
[2:05]color or you can detect the smell or taste that becomes ninjas
[2:08]now the third state if you look at number three and Tucker
[2:15]on ajasa - this is the third scenario if then ajasa falls
[2:22]in the water does everyone see that on page 14 number 3
[2:26]and taka an ijazah if the natasha falls fema in Killeen in
[2:32]a small quantity of water like a bucket of water Jana has
[2:36]no source it's not connected to you know a lake a spring
[2:42]it's just a small quantity of water like a bucket of water
[2:45]fan just anytime aina Jassa a drop of natasha falls in a
[2:53]small quantity of water like this bottle here let's say a drop
[2:55]of blood falls into it automatically becomes ninjas whether it changed color
[3:01]or it didn't it changed the taste or it didn't it changed
[3:05]the smell or it didn't one of the qualities of a small
[3:11]quantity of water that has no source is that any time a
[3:13]new Jassa touches it comes into contact with it automatically it makes
[3:19]it ninjas even if it does not change color so when you're
[3:22]dealing with a small quantity of water then just know that if
[3:27]it that if then a Jassa touched it that's it that's ninjas
[3:30]don't look for any changes in color taste or smell it's automatically
[3:37]ninjas you would look for changes in color and smell if you
[3:40]have a large quantity of water like a pool a swimming pool
[3:44]or if there's a river and you know there's no Jassa in
[3:46]one corner of it that's when you go and see if it
[3:50]changed but when it comes to a small quantity of water don't
[3:53]bother its ninjas and there's many examples than you know in our
[4:00]households in our homes for example the washing machine you know it
[4:03]carries water that's not a big quantity of water it's still small
[4:06]if an ijazah falls in it don't look for any traces it
[4:12]makes it and edges now when it comes to a washing machine
[4:14]and if you are in a few courses we will discuss the
[4:19]ruling of it you know how does it if you put ninjas
[4:21]clothes in the washing machine does it make it pure or not
[4:25]does it stay in edges or not we'll discuss that later but
[4:27]for now all we need to know that is if then a
[4:32]Jassa touches the small water even if you can't trace then it
[4:37]just said there's no sign of it it's ninjas so if your
[4:41]hand is nudges and you dip your finger in a cup of
[4:44]water you make that ninjas so this is the third scenario what's
[4:51]the proof the author tells us little Edgemar that's the first proof
[4:56]there is pretty much a consensus amongst the scholars from the early
[5:01]days until now that a small quantity of water which we call
[5:08]what in Arabic Allah alkylene alma alkylene whenever then ajasa touches it
[5:12]automatically it becomes ninjas that's the first proof what's the second proof
[5:16]wonder why a ton a little bit the narrations of a little
[5:21]bit peace be upon them and let's see Bella that fellas may
[5:24]Allah Maki says it's been reported that we have 300 hadith about
[5:32]this about a small quantity of water becoming neji's when a new
[5:39]Jassa touches it so that's a third scenario then in the following
[5:45]sentence the author talks about the big twonk quantity of water which
[5:53]is the court will defer that you know to a few more
[5:56]pages when we talk about the court in detail how do you
[6:02]get a big quantity of water that will not become ned jizz
[6:05]if it doesn't change color like a swimming pool how do you
[6:13]measure that what makes a water to become a court an Islamic
[6:16]law is a large body of water that if the natasha touches
[6:22]it it doesn't automatically become ninjas if that affected area is neji's
[6:30]you just remove the traces of natasha and we can consider the
[6:34]rest to be clean so if you have a swimming pool in
[6:37]one corner of it there's blood and it's red just try to
[6:38]take that water out and once you see that the pool No
[6:43]has the color taste or smell of blood it's clean we'll talk
[6:49]about that later we'll talk about the qualities of large quantities of
[6:52]water like a core like a swimming pool or even some bathtubs
[6:56]right if the bathtub is a little bit big it qualifies to
[7:01]be cool we'll talk about that later let's go to the next
[7:11]heading alma al-khalil Beynon a baccarat if you have a small quantity
[7:17]of water and it touches a Najah so if it changes obviously
[7:23]becomes nudges that area that has then adjacent however if you have
[7:31]doubt whether this water that I am dealing with the small quantity
[7:39]of water does it have a source or it does not have
[7:42]a source you have doubts let's say you live on a hilltop
[7:48]and on the side of a hill and you see this water
[7:55]flowing by your house it's a small quantity of water it's not
[7:59]like a river that's flowing just a small little stream you don't
[8:02]know if this has a source is there a spring on this
[8:08]hilltop that's causing this water to flow or did somebody just open
[8:12]his you know tap water and he washed this garage and that's
[8:17]why I'm seeing this water you don't know if it has a
[8:20]source or not now you see that one drop of natascha fell
[8:26]in that small quantity of water now if it has a source
[8:28]and a small drop of natascha fell in it does that make
[8:35]it I just know why because the Imam says Leonel ahumada because
[8:40]it has a source it's clean if it's if it doesn't have
[8:46]a source and it's just just a small quantity of water and
[8:48]one drop falls in it what what what do you consider the
[8:54]whole water to be and all becomes ninjas now you have doubt
[8:57]you do know whether this water has a source or it does
[9:01]have a source or let's talk about the shower example you know
[9:07]those shower heads let's say you - the nature of your shower
[9:09]head you're not really sure if this is connected to the water
[9:12]that's flowing in the pipe or maybe it's disconnecting it's pulsating it
[9:21]takes the flow of water it disconnects the flow it pushes it
[9:25]out of the showerhead its pulsating now you're not sure is this
[9:30]water that's falling in my shower is this connected to the pipe
[9:37]such that I could say it's connected to a large quantity of
[9:40]water it's connected to a source such as the you know a
[9:44]water facility in your city and then that's connected to a lake
[9:48]there you have a source but if it's pulsating and it's breaking
[9:52]that connection and that flow now this water is Valene and this
[10:00]water if it's kellene you know it's less immune to an adjacent
[10:05]any drop of natascha could make it neji's it's not connected really
[10:09]or if you want to wash somewhere in your house if you
[10:14]have that water that's coming directly out of the pipe and it's
[10:17]connected flowing you know you just put that you know let's say
[10:22]you have a hose and you have a bucket of water and
[10:24]that's nut juice just put the hose on it connect it to
[10:29]the hose and there you go that bucket gets attached to your
[10:33]water source and it becomes wild but if you're using the showerhead
[10:37]that's pulsating and breaking the water this becomes a lean let's say
[10:43]you have a doubt you're not sure if this has a source
[10:45]or not yes sister Milo Hamada my jari is not Aslam it's
[10:55]immune from Natasha if it has a source for example like a
[11:01]spring never a mom but let's say someone you're on a hill
[11:04]and somebody opens the water he takes a bucket of water and
[11:09]he you know washes the hillside you see my daddy that doesn't
[11:15]count my algeri is my l jari if it has a source
[11:20]so what do you do in this case if you have a
[11:21]doubt in this case we're going to use an equation here in
[11:28]Islamic law in order to figure out the answer and these are
[11:33]some of the equations that you see our anima our scholar is
[11:36]using but here we'll just explain it at a basic level for
[11:40]anything to become ninjas for water to become ninjas we have a
[11:44]formula contact or let's say touching just to simplify it the touching
[11:48]of Najah so whenever you have the touching direct encounter with an
[11:52]ijazah that could impact it the second part of the equation is
[11:59]small quantity of water with no source an Islamic law whenever you're
[12:18]doing an equation like this number one you say I have contact
[12:23]touching governor Jassa plus a small quantity of water meaning that's Nagisa
[12:30]touched the water whenever you get these two what's the result then
[12:36]the jaws of the water water becomes nudges so in Islamic law
[12:48]we have this equation this formula contact touching of Majesta plus small
[12:55]con it's called quantity of water that has no source you get
[12:59]an adjustment that's the result is this clear as this formula is
[13:06]this equation clear okay now if the water here has a source
[13:11]it's connected to a spring just by touching it is it going
[13:16]to become an edges or no it won't become ninjas so you
[13:19]won't get this result right so this no source let's focus on
[13:29]that you're not sure if this water has a source or not
[13:33]you don't know you know that there is contact of new josa
[13:40]new Joseph fell in that water that is something you have yeah
[13:43]Dean you're certain about that because an Islamic law and we'll discuss
[13:48]that later whenever whenever you have check doubt that something became neji's
[13:53]what is Islamic law state it's not nudges whatever you have done
[13:58]you went into the bathroom some drop you know us pray that
[14:01]you you don't know what it is could be something not just
[14:06]it could be just water whenever you don't know you always assume
[14:10]that it is theorem the law of purity anytime you have no
[14:18]and no European no 100 percent certainty you assume that it's always
[14:22]the head until you have certainty any obtain that what its ninjas
[14:27]so now this water here small quantity of water with no source
[14:34]you know that definitely then ajasa touched it you saw that with
[14:37]your own eyes well you know what if you don't know if
[14:41]it has a source or not what do you do here in
[14:45]this case is there a law that we can use to tell
[14:51]us whether this water has a source or not the law of
[14:58]continuity how can you apply it to us how can we use
[15:07]the law of continuity here see that again okay but how does
[15:12]that tell you it has a source or not it's connected to
[15:14]a spring or not okay the water came from somewhere it had
[15:26]a source so every water in the world has a source no
[15:31]we have types of water you can't really say every water its
[15:35]previous state it had a source you could just have a ponding
[15:41]of water you know that was collected from raindrops or from you
[15:45]know other sources you can't say that every water is connected to
[15:48]some source a source is anything like a spring nemah that flows
[16:02]from the water or if you have a well that's connected to
[16:07]the water table underground it's connected to a big body of water
[16:13]that's constantly flowing it's not rocket it's not still its contents constantly
[16:24]moving and flowing what's that the aquifer yes that running water if
[16:33]it's attached to a lake to a big water treatment facility by
[16:40]the city it could be yes well you don't know how this
[16:42]works you know maybe before the water reached you in your neighborhood
[16:46]there's a small you know small reservoir under the ground that's very
[16:52]small just like a bathtub let's say and the water comes into
[16:55]that the disconnects then it comes to your house that's possible let's
[16:58]say you don't know I don't know if this water has a
[17:01]source or not if I know that's very good but let's say
[17:05]I don't know so the brothers said the law of continuity and
[17:07]that's correct but we want to see how can we apply the
[17:11]law of continuity which we call what in Arabic it's this hub
[17:14]we talked about it before the law of continuity where you continue
[17:18]the previous state so can anyone try to figure out how you
[17:29]could apply the law of continuity here what's that okay if it's
[17:41]moving and it's connected to a source there could be other reasons
[17:43]why your water moves like the example I gave up you're living
[17:47]on a hill somebody washes his house and the water's going to
[17:51]move gravity makes water move yeah but let's say in that moment
[17:54]you're just seeing that water flow in that moment and ajasa fell
[18:04]in it you want to know the law of continuity tells you
[18:09]look at the previous state when you have a source a spring
[18:17]for example something that was connected to a lake was that source
[18:22]always there go back to the early days of the creation of
[18:25]the earth every water had a source know how water came from
[18:34]rain all the water that we have in this world it came
[18:38]from the rain you have certainty that this water that you're dealing
[18:50]with one day when it was first created it definitely didn't have
[18:53]a source because what's the source of all water in the world
[18:57]brain right now the rain as it's falling it's pure but once
[19:04]it ponds you get a ponding of water let's say on the
[19:06]street you have this puddle and you get this ponding of water
[19:11]after the rain stops and you have this ponding of water what
[19:14]type of water is this it's Kylene it's a small quantity of
[19:18]water do you treat it as rainwater not no no longer do
[19:22]you treat it as rainwater you only treat water that's rain and
[19:26]we talked about it we'll talk about it today and that rain
[19:31]really purifies you even if it's just a few drops that's if
[19:33]it's falling as rain but once you get the ponding of water
[19:39]that's maligne that's no longer a water that has a source so
[19:43]the previous state of every type of water is that initially it
[19:47]did not have a source then once it collected and it became
[19:53]a spring once you got the aquifer once you got a huge
[19:55]Lake then it became a source initially every water was drops we
[20:04]got ponding of water and then once that pond grew grew grew
[20:08]then it became into a lake or the glaciers we can consider
[20:14]the glaciers to be a source right but initially were those glaciers
[20:17]were melting did you have these huge Great Lakes or no on
[20:20]day one you had some little water flowing and then it grew
[20:25]as the glacier started to melt and melt and melt you had
[20:28]these huge lakes so every water in its beginning in its original
[20:32]original state did it have a source or it did not have
[20:35]a source it did not have a source does everyone agree with
[20:44]that or you dispute that see the rain while it's falling yes
[20:51]it has a powerful capacity to purify it's in itself is not
[20:59]a source no it's not one of the sources once it ponds
[21:04]on the ground that's it it's just tenían water does everyone agree
[21:08]that water in its original state there was drops it was no
[21:13]big source do you agree with that I need anyone dispute that
[21:19]okay so do you have you gained certainty that water in its
[21:23]original form in its original state it did not have a source
[21:28]it was not connected to a source do you have such shayateen
[21:32]or certainty what do you say does anyone say no that you
[21:44]don't have such a pain or certainty C for anything to flow
[21:47]let's take a spring you know the spring that flows from under
[21:49]the ground that's like a source that's the most common source for
[21:54]anything to flow there is a reason why that water was flowing
[21:57]one reason could be that the rainwater came down it penetrated through
[22:03]the soil and when to the aquifer then you got pressure from
[22:07]under the ground such as you know those gases that are trapped
[22:13]under the earth they push the water out so one day that
[22:15]water was not a spring there are geologic factors that caused this
[22:22]water to flow but day one when that water first fell on
[22:25]earth it was not a spring right I mean let me ask
[22:29]you this question the springs that we have were they eternally there
[22:33]since the beginning of Ages you had these Springs no one day
[22:37]there was no earth there was no spring right there was no
[22:43]water then water came down so do we have you came that
[22:50]this water in the very very beginning when it was first created
[22:52]when it was just born that water did it have a source
[22:58]or not didn't have a source this spring that I'm seeing here
[23:00]one day didn't exist obviously then it existed due to geologic factors
[23:05]so can I safely say that I have yet being and certainty
[23:12]that this water did not have a source in the beginning can
[23:16]I safely say that does anyone dispute that does anyone dispute that
[23:21]okay what is the law of continuity say in which Alabama side
[23:27]of an asylum says don't negate certainty with doubt Latin famiglia deena
[23:31]be check if you have certainty don't negate it with doubt unless
[23:39]your search at 100% assume that previous state so what does this
[23:46]does have say about this it's this heart which is the law
[23:51]of continuity you are certain that in the past this had no
[23:58]source then you doubt maybe it became a source maybe it didn't
[24:01]what is the loft continuous you say assume that it does have
[24:06]a source or it doesn't it does not have a source now
[24:08]once you've established that the water does not have a source and
[24:13]you have the first part of the equation the formula Natacha touched
[24:17]it what's the result becomes nudges why does it become nudges because
[24:23]two conditions have been met one there's no Jassa touching number two
[24:26]through estas hobb through the law of continuity we were able to
[24:36]establish that this did not have a source this is the law
[24:39]of continuity now in reality in God's knowledge maybe it did have
[24:45]a source that doesn't matter Allah we as human beings he's not
[24:47]going to hold us responsible to the reality of things when we
[24:50]have no access to reach that reality in Islamic law God says
[24:55]consider this as having no source because of the lavas thus hot
[24:59]that I've given you through the Imams and for us we treat
[25:06]this as nudges because of the law of continuity is it clear
[25:10]how the law of continuity here made this water and I just
[25:15]or do you would you like me to clarify that more if
[25:18]you like further clarification please do let me know it's clear to
[25:27]everyone so this is at a very basic level how Islamic law
[25:32]works you've got equations you've got a result and then you have
[25:36]to use these principles and laws to figure out the result and
[25:39]these scholars the menagerie that's what they're doing with all these rulings
[25:42]but let me just give you a heads up now this year
[25:46]we're just you know at the basic level what you saw here
[25:51]is the tip of the iceberg this is this is a very
[25:53]very simple way of applying the hull continuity it gets much more
[25:59]complicated than that with other cases and issues even even this example
[26:05]I I simplified it a lot just for us to get the
[26:07]basic idea this was the simple version yes because there are types
[26:19]of vistas hop several types of vistas have each type has its
[26:22]own you know conditions and effects this was the bit of the
[26:29]most basic form of vistas hot there many many more complicated forms
[26:37]some forms that you know you would have to sit there for
[26:40]several hours just to figure out how the scholar is trying to
[26:42]apply it so in this paragraph Alma al-khalil Benin Nigeria these two
[26:51]paragraphs this is basically what the scholar is describing now I don't
[26:58]expect you to read every sentence here and the words some of
[27:00]the terms that the author uses are technical for now this year
[27:03]we're just keeping this at a basic level all you need to
[27:06]know is what I just described now we have a law of
[27:08]continuity and the law of continuity says whenever you have previous European
[27:13]a previous state and you have doubt just continue that state that's
[27:19]all you need to know for them without getting too much you
[27:23]know into the Arabic expressions and the Arabic terminology that for now
[27:27]we don't have to deal with so this is what's being explained
[27:31]in that paragraph yes exactly until it's proven that it has a
[27:43]source so when you look at a big river you know that
[27:46]it has a source the oceans are big connected source the spring
[27:51]from the water you see the spring just coming you know that
[27:55]it has a source so every water does not have a source
[27:58]until it's proven to you that it does have a source now
[28:02]your tap water in your house if you know how the water
[28:05]system in your city works and you're sure okay I know this
[28:09]is connected to a big source a big you know a water
[28:11]storage a big reservoir let's say that's fine because if you have
[28:18]that certainty if you have that knowledge okay well what if you
[28:21]have a doubt if you have a doubt you cannot treat it
[28:25]as water that is connected to a source until it's proven to
[28:28]you that it has a source and why why can't you do
[28:31]that because we have the law of tejada see the law of
[28:34]do you have the law of purity that says whenever you don't
[28:38]know what's going on with bajada and you just assume it's what
[28:41]it's not him so you could argue with me and tell me
[28:44]say it we have by the Tahara the law of purity this
[28:47]water that I have I don't know if it's connected to a
[28:50]source or not I did see then adjusted it but at the
[28:54]end of the day as long as I have checked that this
[28:56]became ninjas or not then I assume it's pure why can't you
[29:00]use the Kihara here the reason why we can't use the law
[29:05]of purity or Tahara here is because the law of continuity takes
[29:08]precedence over the law of Tahara because the law of continuity is
[29:12]a type of n it tells you you knew for a fact
[29:18]this water had no source so you had previous knowledge just continue
[29:23]that knowledge it's a weaker state of knowledge but it's nonetheless knowledge
[29:28]in Islamic law it's just hard gives you a type of knowledge
[29:31]and hence whatever the law of us does have is applied the
[29:37]law of purity no longer applies let me give you another example
[29:42]out a very basic level let's say your hand became nudges at
[29:46]12 p.m.
[29:47]you're sure you have your pain your hand became ninjas then at
[29:50]2 p.m.
[29:52]you had doubts you know I don't know if I purified my
[29:56]hand or not did I wash my hands or not I don't
[30:01]know you have doubt now what does the law of the Odyssey
[30:04]the law of purity everything is fire until you have el morya
[30:10]bean now based on the law of Tahara what should you consider
[30:13]your hand by why because you don't have your pain that it's
[30:19]still not just maybe you washed it right maybe you washed it
[30:22]so if you strictly look at the law of Tahara you should
[30:25]consider your hand to be clean but in this case we can't
[30:30]use the law of Tejada in this case why because of it's
[30:34]hard as this hap tells you look at 12 you had any
[30:36]messages so you have to continue that state the law of Tejada
[30:43]only applies if you don't have previous knowledge you just don't I
[30:47]don't know you wake up in the morning as my hand knit
[30:48]just so that I don't know I told you what was the
[30:51]previous stage like don't ask me the previous state I don't know
[30:53]somebody had let's say they fell unconscious they woke up and they
[31:00]forgot everything that happened before that and there's something on their hands
[31:04]that's looking reddish and they don't know it's blood or not over
[31:06]here you can't applies those hot because there's no previous state you
[31:10]don't know the previous state over here the law of Tejada applies
[31:15]you go to somebody's house you have doubts is his Rugnetta or
[31:18]not you don't know the previous state trying to your house you
[31:22]don't know what happened on this rug right in that case you
[31:25]apply which law bhajana so the law of Tejada applies everywhere that
[31:31]you have doubt except if you have previous certainty then the law
[31:39]of vistas have says no no no no more Tejada here you
[31:42]have a type of knowledge is this clear now I don't expect
[31:50]you to know if you know you know all of this in
[31:52]detail this is just to give you a heads up that we
[31:56]have different types of laws in Islamic law the law of purity
[32:00]the law of continuity and sometimes it gets complex how they interact
[32:03]with each other I don't expect you now to know how they
[32:05]interact for now just know that the law of continuity says if
[32:10]you have previous you keep just continue that you think that's all
[32:14]you need to know for now someone had a question okay so
[32:19]don't worry about this I don't expect you to I'm just giving
[32:22]you a heads up you know how sometimes these laws can interact
[32:27]so the result that we have here is that this water is
[32:31]neji's because we know for sure that Jets are touched it the
[32:36]water is small in quantity but we don't know if it has
[32:38]a source if we know that it has a source it does
[32:43]not become nudges but since we don't know the law of this
[32:45]this hop says what assume what it does not have a source
[32:50]so it becomes an interest everything clear about this okay in the
[32:56]next heading the author talks about my el mapa the water of
[33:03]rain we discussed that in the previous course where rainwater is pure
[33:08]even though small quantities of raindrops are falling on you as long
[33:13]as it's rain it purifies so if there's a drop of blood
[33:16]on your hand you put it for three seconds under the rain
[33:18]and the drop is no longer there you consider that what thoug
[33:25]have pur your parking lot was ninjas let's say your driveway was
[33:29]nudges it rained you no longer see the unadjusted because if you
[33:32]see that and jessa there the blood is there okay obviously then
[33:36]adjust as there whenever you have an adjustment you can see it
[33:39]it's nudges but let's say you had this rain shower and you
[33:43]look at your driveway you don't really see any traces of that
[33:46]you're in any traces that blood or let's say a dog walked
[33:51]in that area and the dog was wet and it made your
[33:54]driveway nudges you had this brief shower of rain it made your
[34:00]driveway what and you don't see really any traces usually a dog
[34:03]doesn't really leave a trace that's visible to you rain makes it
[34:08]purifies everything so what's the hadith that we use to prove that
[34:16]it's a hadith from an imam a side of a nice allah
[34:18]al imam sadiq do you see the hadith under the heading my
[34:25]old mother rainwater does everyone see that okay Dada Masada Allison I
[34:30]mean one hadith could no shame in what does kulla shay'in mean
[34:34]in arabic every thing kundo means every shape means thing everything here
[34:41]our whole mother everything that Alma taught which is rain meets season
[34:46]meets it frittata or it becomes pure simple hadith from the imam
[34:55]everything that the rain water comes into contact with it purifies it
[34:59]whether you have a heavy thunder shower or just a few drops
[35:02]that are removing than a just set it makes it pure now
[35:06]this is special to rain water you know if you take those
[35:09]sprays and you do the same you know you could say you
[35:13]know what I'm doing what rainwater does let me just spray my
[35:15]driveway a little bit on my hand it becomes no it does
[35:19]not become bottle has to be rain one so this is what's
[35:24]being described here now let's go to an interesting of Natasha which
[35:29]is mixed water what did we call mixed water in Islamic law
[35:36]move off like a juice anything that's mixed some of you said
[35:39]you know if I have this water and I put a lot
[35:42]of sugar into it it's no longer plain water anything that we
[35:44]consider not to be plain water anything that's mula that is a
[35:50]mixed water how does it interact with Natasha how does it become
[35:54]ninjas now what we drink is affected by this so we need
[35:59]to know the law of how our drinks become ninjas when our
[36:03]cartoon ijazah little ma and move off when then adjust amides mixed
[36:08]water what happens let's start from a hadith from al imam al
[36:15]baqara lisanna so al al imam abu bakr does everyone see the
[36:19]hadith it's under the heading Malacca and new Jassa Delma al move
[36:25]off and the in the inner addition what page is that 15
[36:28]page 15 so on page 15 monopod and new jostle morale move
[36:33]off you have seen an imam al Barker so Allah means he
[36:38]was asked the fifth theme of a debate was asked he was
[36:44]asked about what and ferritin what is a fara a rat or
[36:47]a mouse what got fest so many it fell in some what
[36:54]son in arabic oil some at sets and it died a rat
[37:00]fell let's say in a jar of oil in a bucket of
[37:06]oil cooking oil let's say and it died now a rat when
[37:08]it now a rat is pure fire it's not like a dog
[37:13]that it's always ninjas but if a rat dies what does it
[37:18]become Negus why because it's a mammal it has you know it's
[37:21]warm-blooded and the blood gushes it's not like an insect by the
[37:25]way the lizard as gruesome and you know nasty as it is
[37:30]for many people if a lizard dies it doesn't become ninjas you
[37:33]know that why even if you touch it it's not net just
[37:37]even if you kill it and it dies and you touch it
[37:41]a snake if it's dead and you touch it is it Negus
[37:46]no why because it's cold-blooded because when it's killed it doesn't have
[37:51]the blood gushing any animal that if you kill it and the
[37:58]blood gushes with force that animal if it dies it becomes what
[38:03]edges but cold-blooded animals like reptiles many insects they don't become ninjas
[38:10]because they're not warm-blooded a rat is what it's a mammal right
[38:14]and that's why they do all these scientific operations on it because
[38:19]it's very close to a human being and how it operates and
[38:22]how it's affected by medicine the DNA is very close now if
[38:28]a rat dies in Islamic law what does it become it becomes
[38:31]ninjas becomes meat a dead animal that's not just so this rat
[38:34]died in the oil he was asked about it what happens to
[38:40]the oil does it make it not just or not ba VA
[38:48]imani sallam said take the rat out wha Maya leha and the
[38:51]surrounding areas of the cooking oil that surrounds the rat which came
[39:01]close to it it pretty much touched the rat in kana Johnny
[39:04]didn't if the oil was solid you've seen the oil it could
[39:12]be in a liquid state some types of oil especially if the
[39:16]temperature is a little bit low even at room temperature you've seen
[39:20]how the oil becomes like solid what do you call it like
[39:24]coconut oil for example what do you call that state when the
[39:28]oil becomes solid frozen oil okay let's call it frozen oil okay
[39:32]so any oil that's frozen the Imam says if the iraq dies
[39:39]in that oil if the oil is solid it's frozen don't automatically
[39:43]say oh the whole oil is not just and I throw it
[39:46]no not all of it becomes edges because it's in its it's
[39:50]in a solid state just take out the rat and the areas
[39:55]that the rat touched but all the other surrounding areas that were
[39:59]far from the right underneath that you can assume it's by her
[40:05]right so the amount I said I'm tells him that we're in
[40:08]kind has some new that I been but if the Sun the
[40:12]oil was liquid in a liquid state that it was something that's
[40:15]melted in a liquid state but not cool don't eat any of
[40:21]it all of it became nudges now you could say to the
[40:26]amount okay should I waste that team Hani Salaam gives him a
[40:29]way to use that without just you know dumping it what's this
[40:33]baby he use that for an oil lamp because in those air
[40:38]eras you could use cooking oil to light a lamp and all
[40:43]your lamp right so the Imam says don't eat it because it
[40:45]became ninjas but you could use it as a you know oil
[40:49]for an oil lamp was eight Smith LaDonna the Imam Mahdi's Sam
[40:52]says eight which is probably olive oil is also like that if
[40:58]it's in a liquid state and the rat dies in it then
[40:59]it becomes nudges if it's in a solid state only the surrounding
[41:04]areas that came into contact with the rat becomes ninjas every all
[41:09]other areas are fire so we have this idea from the amount
[41:16]it's not just to even apply it it's Haram to eat it
[41:18]because it's not just number two if you use it whatever it
[41:24]touches it's making getting edges so if you use that oil then
[41:26]when it comes the time for salat make sure you wash your
[41:36]hands and you purify them yeah you see a dead rat in
[41:41]that oil first question is that liquid or or is it solid
[41:49]you don't know now you have to use the law of continuity
[41:54]gets a little bit complicated here let's not get there for now
[42:00]let's not go there for now but but I like how you're
[42:02]thinking about this if I see the right dead in it right
[42:07]now it's liquid or solid but I don't know when the rat
[42:08]fell in it you know fell yesterday or let's say you were
[42:13]on vacation and it seems like the rat has been there for
[42:17]a couple of days you're like I don't know when the rat
[42:19]fell in it was it solid was it liquid can I use
[42:23]the law of vistas hob can I use the law of purity
[42:27]that's interesting for us to talk about maybe in the group we
[42:29]can put you know present this scenario but I don't want to
[42:31]confuse you too much because it gets a little bit complicated so
[42:35]one way to look at it simplifying it before you left when
[42:39]you were in your house what was the state of the oil
[42:44]let's say you know continued that state that's what it's this hob
[42:48]says what if you don't know it gets a little bit complicated
[42:57]yeah if right now it's liquid colors it's neji's because the dead
[43:03]rat which is not just touch the liquid and made it an
[43:06]edges no this question here if it's solid right now but you
[43:12]could say maybe when the rat fell it was liquid and then
[43:14]all of it became there just now it's solid that's where you
[43:19]would music need us does hop to you know think about that
[43:22]yeah if it's liquid right now fellow so I don't care about
[43:26]the previous state right now it's liquid of the dead right is
[43:28]still there I made it and edges no doubt about that [Music]
[43:42]initiative because it was liquid but that is heavy it should settle
[43:50]down so it's okay if you have ways scientific ways using the
[43:54]laws of physics let's say to determine how it died and that
[43:58]gives you your pain fine whenever you have L you could use
[44:00]your knowledge you can use scientific ways to figure that out that's
[44:03]okay but the average person can't really figure that out so what
[44:07]do you do in this case so the amount Mattie Saddam is
[44:11]just giving us a simple law if it's liquid becomes neji's if
[44:13]it's solid only that areas which it touched but the other areas
[44:17]you could assume that they're Thyle now he's a few questions this
[44:25]hadith is used by scholars to say that every water that's mixed
[44:33]every water that's move off like your juice becomes neji's ii then
[44:39]a Jassa touches it if it's in a liquid state anything that's
[44:43]liquid mixed water then your Joss that makes it impure if it
[44:50]touches it you can no longer drink it you can no longer
[44:55]do will do with it what's there proof one of them is
[44:58]this hadith now you could argue that wait a minute first of
[45:02]all this hadith is talking about a rat it's not talking about
[45:04]every other Najah sir like blood you're in whatever it is right
[45:08]number two this hadith is talking about oil cooking oil olive oil
[45:17]it's not talking about orange juice milk so how is it that
[45:22]the scholars are generalizing from this hadith they're using a hadith that's
[45:26]specific to a rat and cooking oil and they're generalizing it to
[45:33]include milk Jews that's for the type of plain oil mixed water
[45:36]and then for the Nejad says every other new Josef Buren blood
[45:40]how to answer is very simple when scholars examine such a hadith
[45:50]the first question is why did the Imam tell him not to
[45:53]eat it okay because the rat fell well sort what's special about
[45:57]the run do we have any indication in Islamic law that there's
[46:03]something special about the right no it's because a rat is what
[46:07]Amita it's nudges we know in Islamic law that any warm-blooded animal
[46:10]when it dies on its own like that its ninjas so it's
[46:17]because it's legislature man told him not to eat not because there's
[46:20]something specific to a rat such that you would say you know
[46:23]what this only applies to around if some other animal died in
[46:28]it no if there's blood no in Islamic law we know that
[46:33]a rat is nudges and here in this hadith the Imam told
[46:35]him not to eat it because it's nudges why because of the
[46:40]rat so we can generalize in this case and say every new
[46:43]Java it doesn't have to be a rat number to the oil
[46:47]why did the Imam Ali Sonam say the oil if it's liquid
[46:50]because over here it doesn't matter whether it's oil or not the
[46:56]point is it's something that's liquid and not water that's how you
[47:01]generalize the Imam in the example he was asked about or you
[47:05]but when he gave you that difference if it's liquid it becomes
[47:09]not just if it's solid it doesn't in other words the Imam
[47:11]is saying any mixed water because it's liquid by virtue of it
[47:18]being click wit then it becomes ninjas some scholars say that in
[47:22]fact there's a clue in the hadith that a liquid like milk
[47:29]or oranges must become ninjas why oil is heavier and denser than
[47:35]milk and orange juice and so the ability of contaminants nikasha I
[47:40]don't know germs can more easily spread in a lighter liquid right
[47:46]like milk and orange juice whereas oil is pretty thick and heavy
[47:54]it takes a while for the natasa to be mixed and to
[47:57]spread out so if this oil which is thick and heavy and
[48:02]it takes a longer time for the magenta Jassa to mix yet
[48:05]the Imam said it's nyjah's then obviously if you have milk or
[48:10]orange juice that automatically becomes ninjas because it's lighter and then adjusts
[48:16]and mixes faster with it do you see the point here so
[48:18]in any case this is a hadith that we use to demonstrate
[48:24]that my elma life becomes ninjas now here's the point when it
[48:30]comes to my elbows off do you care about the size of
[48:35]it or no no it doesn't matter if you have a cup
[48:40]of milk or you have a pool of milk that's second then
[48:43]ajasa touches it it becomes not just all of it I remember
[48:50]once one of my professors in Qom he asked us one day
[48:57]he asked us what's faster than light than the speed of light
[49:00]we're all confused like there's nothing faster than the speed of light
[49:02]not that we know he's like the water of more life becoming
[49:07]Nadja's according to some scholars who accept that it's faster than light
[49:12]imagine if the Pacific Ocean was orange juice or milk and you
[49:16]put one drop of Natasha in Los Angeles instantly the water becomes
[49:24]nudges all the way to Tokyo instantly instantaneously so that's faster than
[49:28]the speed of light according to many scholars especially previous scholars scholars
[49:36]of the past they used to say when it comes to my
[49:40]I'll move off it doesn't matter how big it is their second
[49:42]one Natasha falls in it I don't care if it changes the
[49:47]color taste it doesn't matter just as it comes into contact with
[49:49]it all of it becomes nudges so if you have an ocean
[49:54]of orange juice and one pipe part becomes there just the other
[49:57]part instantaneously becomes their juice faster than the speed of light what's
[50:03]that okay is this true some scholars in our era have disputed
[50:10]that they're like we have two types of mixed water we have
[50:16]water that is big in quantity yes you know like some pool
[50:23]big pot that becomes ninjas there's no doubt about that even if
[50:26]it's big even if you have a swimming pool of orange juice
[50:30]and fainting ajasa falls in it it's very clear the Islamic law
[50:34]becomes ninjas but if you have her if you have a super
[50:39]big body of water super huge like what mixed water like what
[50:43]obviously we don't have these huge pools of orange juice or milk
[50:47]but there is something that we use on a daily basis that
[50:52]is like that know that that's see it's still water salty water
[50:57]but it's still water gasoline oil wells according to those previous scholars
[51:04]they tell you if an ijazah falls in that oil well underground
[51:09]Habibi all of it is ninjas so if you touch that gasoline
[51:13]it's it's nudges that nozzle his ninjas scholars of the past most
[51:20]of them would say this even today many scholars still state say
[51:23]that because at the end of the day this gasoline this petroleum
[51:28]is not plain water it's type it's a type of move off
[51:31]so if a drop falls in it makes all of it midges
[51:36]so today some scholars are saying upon examining these hadith San Islamic
[51:41]law we come to the conclusion that of the water the mixed
[51:43]water like the oil fields there's so big in quantity than no
[51:49]only that part or that area becomes ninjas it doesn't make all
[51:53]of that ninjas now one example that the author mentions is a
[52:01]sandal Hakeem he was the grand merger of Najaf and the Shia
[52:05]world before I say the Hawaii he passed away in the 70s
[52:10]so he was of this opinion that the water if it's very
[52:15]very big like the oil fields like the petroleum that we have
[52:18]it does not become ninjas the late I to Las Villas he
[52:22]was also one of the menagerie who disputed this is like you
[52:24]know I don't accept that if you have an ocean of whoring
[52:27]juice all of it will become their juice so there's some disputes
[52:30]and disagreements about this yes brother [Music] initially it was the head
[52:49]because you saw the new Joseph all in it you saw a
[52:54]drop of blood yeah at the gas station you assume it's clean
[53:04]obviously but let's say let's say you were you know with a
[53:07]company drilling oil from underground and there's an ocean of this there's
[53:11]a sea of this oil underground let's say you were drilling there
[53:15]and then somebody got injured there and their blood started dripping into
[53:21]that oil does that make all the oil there in that oil
[53:23]field and whatever's connected to it does they make any edges these
[53:28]new scholars are saying no we don't accept that but previous scholars
[53:31]even some scholars today they're like at the end of the day
[53:34]it's move off it's not look luck all of its edges that's
[53:38]if you have yeah teen that it became ninjas now you at
[53:40]the gas station you don't have such certainty on your teens so
[53:46]there's nothing to worry about that no only a source helps you
[53:55]if it's plain water water that is move off it doesn't matter
[53:59]if as a source or not so this is about Alma Alma
[54:05]Davos allahu ala muhammadin wali a ibn Abbas honey
