[0:07]foreign okay we're going to begin inshallah was in Sunday respected brothers
[1:09]and sisters we are in the fourth session of this 10-week crash
[1:19]course on Islamic beliefs and in the first session we explained the
[1:26]necessity to worship a higher power then we went on to try
[1:35]to understand what kind of power this is that we are worshiping
[1:38]it can't be just anything that we're worshiping we have a need
[1:44]to worship but this power that we're worshiping must be omnipotent must
[1:50]be omniscient must be omnipresent and these qualities that have to do
[1:55]with Allah the attributes of God in the previous session we discussed
[2:01]the attributes of Allah and we discuss salam alaikum we discussed that
[2:08]there the attributes could be divided one is thati inherent qualities meaning
[2:13]God is the all-powerful the Mighty the knowledgeable the these attributes are
[2:19]inseparable from Allah you can't say God did not have knowledge and
[2:26]then he gained knowledge because God and knowledge are inherent and knowledge
[2:33]is inherent in Allah it's not like us where at one point
[2:36]I didn't have knowledge and then I gained knowledge I didn't have
[2:38]power and then I gained power this is one that and then
[2:45]there is the Fairly the attributed qualities because God is the Creator
[2:51]God has the power to create but God was not always the
[2:56]Creator it's not inherent in God because if we were to say
[2:58]it was inherent in God then that means the Creator and the
[3:03]creation would be to get would exist at the same time and
[3:05]that's not possible the creator has to come one step before the
[3:12]creation once he created he becomes and these are the Fairly the
[3:15]attributed qualities of God and then we also there was another categorization
[3:20]of the names of God and the qualities of God and that
[3:25]is the Jalal and the Jamal and Kamal qualities the qualities of
[3:33]perfection and beauty and then you have the qualities of Jalal which
[3:38]are removing any deficiency any imperfection any weakness from Allah subhanahu wa
[3:46]ta'ala and this is where many people fall this is where many
[3:49]people falter where they say I believe in God I believe in
[3:55]a higher power this power is the creator the originator this this
[3:58]this this but then they say but this power has a body
[4:02]but this but this this God is um is in one particular
[4:08]place this God is confined in a time in a place this
[4:13]is why the job of the Quran and the prophets and The
[4:16]Messengers is to teach the names of Allah no God through his
[4:22]names through the way God wants you to know him because there
[4:25]is right now when we think that you know this is not
[4:35]a major issue but in fact it is a major issue people
[4:38]there are many people who worship God but out of the people
[4:44]who worship God some people they say God is and an idol
[4:48]then this is shirk they believe in the concept of God but
[4:53]then they've come and they've minimized God to an idol or some
[4:56]people they come and they say in Jesus or in a person
[5:00]in an animal or even from the monotheists from the so-called monotheist
[5:04]from amongst the Muslims there are groups that are known as meaning
[5:11]they give God a physical body touchsim and the English word for
[5:20]this is anthropomorphism where they they give God physical features of a
[5:26]human being like the the Greek mythology where they come and they
[5:29]say God has hands legs body and all of that and you
[5:35]find unfortunately some Muslims that do that so this is why one
[5:38]of the one of the things the thekar of Allah we know
[5:44]what Allah means there's no deity worthy of being worshiped other than
[5:48]Allah we know what alhamdulillah means right everyone knows what alhamdulillah means
[5:54]all praise belongs to Allah we know what Allah means God is
[5:59]greater than being described what does subhanallah mean who knows what subhanallah
[6:06]means Glory means what does that mean when I say subhanallah Glory
[6:13]belongs to God but what does it mean yes exactly subhanallah it
[6:23]means [Music] meaning we are purifying we are removing any deficiency from
[6:34]Allah So This falls in the category of Jalal when we say
[6:42]subhanallah subhanallah meaning those people who have put God in a body
[6:45]those people who have said God is limited this this this subhanallah
[6:49]no God does not have all of that word tanzi we're we're
[6:55]removing all Perfection imperfections and all impurities and all deficiencies from Allah
[7:00]we all say subhanallah every day but some of us we don't
[7:05]know what it means so now when you say subhanallah meaning you're
[7:08]removing any any deficiency your your belief you're worshiping the right Lord
[7:14]subhanallah alhamdulillah you're thanking God there is no God other than him
[7:17]above everything else so it's a full package so now this is
[7:24]one thing that we covered we also talked about God's mercy we
[7:31]talked about how Allah has Mercy is the reason of creation Allah
[7:35]the reason why God created us is to be merciful with us
[7:41]we mentioned that he created us to test us he created us
[7:43]so that we worship but the test and the worship they are
[7:49]they're they're all channels to reaching God's mercy reaching God's mercy in
[7:56]the and we also talked about God's justice Allah Allah has just
[8:03]several people were asking questions last time what about this what about
[8:09]that Allah there's no Injustice that goes to Allah Allah does not
[8:14]do Injustice to anyone and someone might ask okay what about the
[8:18]suffering that I see in my life what about a sick child
[8:22]what about the wars and the famine and all of the suffering
[8:25]that we see in the world Allah tells us where this comes
[8:32]from foreign the Calamity that falls upon people is from what people
[8:48]have done to themselves a lot of times we do certain things
[8:54]to hurt ourselves or I could do something to hurt someone or
[8:57]I could do something to hurt a whole generation that will come
[9:01]after me but I caused it we didn't humans they've done it
[9:07]right now they talk about global warming they say scientists are saying
[9:12]global warming is man-made and it's causing natural disasters it's causing a
[9:16]lot of suffering a lot of these things so they're they're saying
[9:19]this goes back to people and another verse Allah says in the
[9:23]Quran the oppression has become apparent in the ocean and in the
[9:33]sea and in the sea and in the land from the hands
[9:37]of the people [Music] here Allah says I'm not going to keep
[9:44]intervening you guys you hurt one another you guys cause problems with
[9:51]one another there's a there's laws in this universe laws of cause
[9:55]and effect if someone took a gun and shot someone Allah has
[9:58]made has placed laws God is not going to intervene every time
[10:03]otherwise what's the value of faith and Allah says in the Quran
[10:08]there's oppression in the land that's become apparent s it's from what
[10:15]people have done to themselves why does God says I allow this
[10:19]to carry on not because God did it they did it but
[10:24]God allows it because there's a there's rules laws of laws of
[10:28]this universe so God will taste you the repercussions of your own
[10:38]actions why so people may go back to Allah so people may
[10:42]come to the understanding that yes we do not know how to
[10:48]rule perfectly we are imperfect we don't have the correct system we
[10:52]need to return to Allah and later on inshallah towards the end
[10:57]when we talk about Imam some people ask why is Imam and
[11:02]Mahdi why doesn't Allah reveal him already why doesn't Allah just reveal
[11:05]him one of the reasons one of the philosophies behind the Imam
[11:10]being one Hadith or one understanding is that Allah will allow every
[11:18]system of rule system of government to rule because everyone says I
[11:23]know how to rule democracy they said democratic system they said we
[11:29]know how to create a utopian system yellow where's the utopian system
[11:33]Communists they came and they said we know how to create a
[11:35]perfect system where's the perfect system socialists they came they said we
[11:39]know how to create a perfect system where is it until every
[11:45]system rules then they will all realize that they're all failures will
[11:48]come and establish justice on Earth after it has been filled with
[11:54]oppression now some people say okay but why is there Bala why
[11:58]is there suffering where's the justice of God when they're suffering here
[12:03]there's a Hadith he says suffering tests in life trials and life
[12:12]for different people they mean different things for the volume for the
[12:19]oppressor it's adab God is disciplining this person that same that same
[12:28]catastrophe maybe it was a natural disaster it was an earthquake or
[12:32]something for one person it's discipline for the other person the believer
[12:36]it's a test God is testing you you have to be tested
[12:39]in this life at the end we believe that this life comes
[12:43]to an end eventually and we all move on to another world
[12:49]how are we going to be measured in the next life for
[12:54]the prophets being elevated in ranks they come even greater than the
[13:04]later than the prophets because there are some awliya meaning so close
[13:08]to God Karama it's a way that God is honoring them Imam
[13:14]Al Hussain is one of those when when Allah tested Imam Hussain
[13:19]that doesn't mean God is punishing Imam Hussain it means god is
[13:23]giving him saying the opportunity to become this great Hussain that is
[13:28]remembered every year now here some people we come and we say
[13:33]yeah but why is it fair where this person is tested or
[13:36]this person is tested we we kind of measure people we say
[13:41]oh it's you know this person is suffering because we think that
[13:47]only poverty only pain only illness is a type of suffering we
[13:52]don't look at wealth as a type of test from God we
[13:56]don't look at Comfort we don't look at strength we don't look
[13:58]at good health as a form of test from Allah whereas they're
[14:05]both tests if God is testing you with poverty that's a test
[14:09]if God is testing you with wealth that's also a test and
[14:13]perhaps that's a more that's a more difficult test this is human
[14:18]nature sometimes we only have a one we only have a one-sided
[14:20]approach Allah says when they are comfortable they say my lord gave
[14:35]me God tested him but when God is testing them when God
[14:44]does not give them what they want they say my lo my
[14:50]Lord didn't give me so we we only look at certain things
[14:54]as a test when everything is a test so everyone's being tested
[14:58]God is just God is measuring everyone in their own way and
[15:02]Allah tells people sometimes God tests me through poverty sometimes God tests
[15:07]me through wealth through poverty it's called Bala through wealth it's called
[15:16]what does that mean and in fact we have from our narrations
[15:23]sometimes people who are far away from God sometimes Allah will give
[15:29]them more of this Dunya Allah will give them more wealth more
[15:32]power Allah will give them this is meaning Allah is putting them
[15:37]in a difficult test because they didn't appreciate God God is putting
[15:41]them in a difficult test where they're going to slip even further
[15:45]away this is why Imam Al Hussain he has in the Dua
[15:51]in one of his duas he says oh Allah do not allow
[16:00]me to fall further away from you meaning don't throw this whole
[16:08]Dunya at me imagine if someone won the lottery what would happen
[16:12]to this person in fact there are studies go and look at
[16:15]it up go and look it up people who won the lottery
[16:17]they see that their life became worse their life became more miserable
[16:21]than they imagined because all of this wealth suddenly you get it
[16:27]you don't know what it's going to do to you it's going
[16:28]to change you so Imam I'm saying he said no what it's
[16:32]going to do to you it's going to change you so Imam
[16:35]Hussain he says do not allow me to slip away through blessings
[16:41]and favors and also do not discipline me through Bala for a
[16:49]test where or ask Allah to Grant you something that you were
[16:54]not going to fill the test so Allah subhanahu ta'ala is just
[17:00]with everyone sometimes he's just with me by wealth and he's just
[17:03]with me through poverty he's just with me through health and he's
[17:06]just he's being just with me through illness these are all forms
[17:11]of God's justice we don't understand the hikmah of Allah we're limited
[17:17]we're limited we're very limited we're trying to judge God who is
[17:22]the unlimited who is the who has infinite knowledge and infinite mercy
[17:28]and love we're judging God because of what things Allah does one
[17:35]day Prophet Musa Salaam he asks Allah he says allow me to
[17:47]witness your wisdom the hidden wisdom there's a lot of things that
[17:51]happen for a reason we don't know the reason we don't realize
[17:56]what is the reason he says let me see let me be
[18:02]an eyewitness to the to the justice and the wisdom of Allah
[18:06]so Prophet Musa he was on a hill and beneath the hill
[18:11]there is a spring of water there's a spring of water Allah
[18:17]tells him stay here and watch he's on the hill and he's
[18:24]watching as he's watching he sees a knight a Horseman Brave horseman
[18:28]with a sword he comes he gets down from the horse he
[18:35]takes off his armor and his himyan his like a belt that
[18:39]has a that has a wallet in it that you could put
[18:43]money in it he takes it off he puts it down he
[18:46]goes and he drinks from the water he swims in the water
[18:47]he does whatever then he gets up he puts on his clothes
[18:52]and he leaves the hemian he leaves the wallet he gets on
[18:55]the horse and he leaves then Musa is watching and he sees
[19:00]another person Comes This Time It's a young man he comes walking
[19:06]and he comes to drink from the water he drinks from the
[19:11]water he sees this belt that has money in it he takes
[19:14]it and he leaves then Musa is watching he sees an old
[19:23]man an old man comes and he looks tired he looks miserable
[19:25]he looks exhausted he comes he's trying to drink from the water
[19:29]suddenly the horsemen comes the first man he comes he tells him
[19:34]where's my belt Where's My Money the man tells him what money
[19:39]are you talking about he doesn't allow him to say anything he
[19:42]takes a sword and he kills him then he asks Allah where's
[19:52]the Heckman behind us where's the wisdom behind us the wrong person
[19:58]got killed one person took the money and the old man got
[20:01]killed the old man what had he done I am the one
[20:10]who sees everything you don't see you just saw one perspective you
[20:14]just saw one angle you have not seen the whole story you
[20:19]want me to tell you the whole story that old man that
[20:24]got killed this man now he looks old there was a time
[20:29]he was a tyrant there was a time he was the one
[20:31]who used to carry the sword and he used to hurt people
[20:36]and abuse people and oppress people and do you know who he
[20:38]killed he killed the father of the horsemen he killed the father
[20:46]of the horsemen and then he tells him and you know that
[20:48]Horsemen it might not seem fair that he lost his money but
[20:53]do you know that that money was stolen money that he had
[20:58]stolen from that second man that came Allah allowed the story to
[21:04]take place where Justice was implemented in a way where people didn't
[21:10]realize but Allah knows now Allah's Justice is implemented mainly in the
[21:16]akhara but sometimes you see it happen in this life as well
[21:18]sometimes if someone does something wrong sometimes things happen in this life
[21:24]so we know that's one point does anyone have any questions before
[21:32]we go on to the next point okay so now we know
[21:39]God is just and God is knowledgeable Allah is knowledgeable so if
[21:49]Allah is knowledgeable does Allah know everything that we do even things
[21:56]that have not happened yet how does Allah know something that has
[21:59]not happened yet who has an answer yes because Allah has knowledge
[22:13]is not like my knowledge and your knowledge where it increases over
[22:19]time today I have some level of knowledge tomorrow I'm going to
[22:22]have more knowledge the day after I'm going to have more knowledge
[22:25]Allah's knowledge is his Essence God's knowledge does not increase if God's
[22:28]knowledge were to increase then that means the day before God did
[22:32]not have the knowledge Allah is that Allah his Essence therefore his
[22:37]knowledge does not increase so God knows God is not trapped in
[22:44]time like we are so God he has all of that knowledge
[22:46]now knows if I'm going to heaven or I'm going to hell
[22:52]then why did Allah create me where's the Justice in that who
[22:58]has an answer for that we we kind of alluded to them
[23:01]last time yes so why would he create me if he knows
[23:09]I'm going to go to heaven why would he put me in
[23:12]this test yes brother exactly so on the day of judgment no
[23:19]one comes and says Eli you didn't give me a chance Ya
[23:21]Allah you should have given me a chance I would I would
[23:25]have been able to prove myself I would have been able to
[23:27]be different I would have been able to do things differently yes
[23:33]brother exactly so so we believe that we can change our destiny
[23:48]and we will talk about that inshallah next session inshallah we will
[23:52]talk about that there are certain things that are written for us
[23:54]where we could change them however Allah he first of all he
[24:02]he allows me to go through this test just like a teacher
[24:06]a teacher sometimes sees a student from first day of class he
[24:10]sees the student he says the student is going to pass the
[24:12]student is going to fail the teacher knows because the teacher has
[24:16]a lot of experience through all these years they know but can
[24:20]the teacher give you an F or give you an a before
[24:25]you've even tested no it's not fair so Allah allows us to
[24:29]live our life to go through the trials to go through the
[24:33]tests so that on the day of judgment Allah will show us
[24:35]everything in front of us you will be able to see your
[24:40]whole life in front of you and there you will have witnesses
[24:43]there will be there there will be everything where the mujrim the
[24:49]the doer of the the one who does not does not do
[24:51]good they will admit to their sins they will they will admit
[24:56]to the wrong that they have done this is one second we
[24:59]said that also Allah the greater reason why God created us more
[25:05]than to test us is that Allah wants to be merciful with
[25:10]us Allah wants to bless us with his mercies so this is
[25:14]why Allah gives me the chance to live otherwise if I didn't
[25:18]live I wouldn't receive the mercy and the blessings of Allah now
[25:21]we want to move on to the main topic that tonight I
[25:28]want to cover and that is a topic where it has to
[25:30]do with the justice of God has to do with the power
[25:34]of Allah it's an issue of dispute not only amongst Muslims but
[25:38]also amongst non-muslim groups Christians Jews and other religions they've had these
[25:46]debates and this is the debate of Free Will versus predestination are
[25:53]we predestined to do everything that we've done right now I got
[26:00]up I pray I sleep I eat I drink I do I
[26:05]do everything that I do has that been predestined or do I
[26:12]have total free choice to do whatever I want here we see
[26:20]three opinions amongst the Muslims one group they are the Asha this
[26:25]is see I mentioned last time you have 50 schools of thought
[26:30]schools of thought when it comes to when it comes to jurisprudence
[26:33]you have the handballi the shafiri the Maliki the hanafi and the
[26:37]jaffari we the followers of the Elbert we are the jaffari then
[26:42]you have ideological schools of thought schools of belief so you have
[26:49]the and we are the imamiya we follow the imams of the
[26:52]Albert so the ashara they're called the ashara this was a debate
[26:56]that was going on during the times of the imams um they
[27:01]said whatever I do I have been predestined to do it Allah
[27:07]he is the one who forced me to do that if I
[27:10]pray God forced me to pray if I did bad God forced
[27:13]me to do bad I have no choice in what I do
[27:17]I'm like a robot Allah he he knows my life and therefore
[27:25]Allah programmed my life and I'm just living my life the way
[27:28]God has programmed it and they come and they bring verses on
[27:30]the Quran to argue this your Lord created you and everything that
[27:40]you do foreign something good happens to them they say this is
[28:08]from God if something bad happens to them they say this is
[28:13]from you tell them they're all are from God the good and
[28:15]the bad are from Allah a third verse you did not shoot
[28:26]the arrow in the battle it was God who shot the arrow
[28:29]so here there are verses in the Quran where if someone does
[28:35]not have full understanding of the Quran and this is a very
[28:38]important topic can I do tafsir of the Quran on my own
[28:41]can I just pick up the Quran and say this is how
[28:44]I understand the verse no because you're going to fall in this
[28:48]problem here a group of people they come and they said everything
[28:52]that happens is forced by God but this is a problem why
[28:57]because now that means you're making God be an oppressor yazid killed
[29:00]him they come Benny Omega they came and they said we didn't
[29:03]kill Hussein it was God who did Allah will put us in
[29:08]power God who killed Imam and Hussain someone who has been praying
[29:11]their whole life what's the value of that prayer God forced this
[29:15]person to do it the person had no choice the person had
[29:19]no say in what they were doing so this is one group
[29:24]and then there's a second group this group they the the group
[29:29]that were following this they're called the martezilla you have the they
[29:35]said God gave people total Free Will Allah created he sent prophets
[29:43]and Messengers to guide you and show you the way and then
[29:45]he's sitting like a teacher and he's just watching he's watching let
[29:48]people do whatever they want God does not intervene and here they
[29:56]say the verses that they come they refer to this is [Music]
[30:07]um tied to their own actions you're going to meet the results
[30:15]of what you used to do for whoever wants to believe let
[30:20]them believe and whoever does not want to believe then they don't
[30:23]have to believe here so we said one group says total predestination
[30:29]another group says total free Willam the only group that truly understands
[30:39]Allah and the imams after they say that if you're fully predestined
[30:45]then that means you're attributing Injustice to Allah then that means you're
[30:50]saying Allah allows Injustice and Allah does not allow Injustice that means
[30:56]you're saying God forced the criminal to kill God forced the one
[31:02]who prays to pray God forced everyone to do everything then what's
[31:04]the value of what you do there's no value there's no value
[31:06]in the test there's no value in being rewarded and if you
[31:12]say there's total Free Will meaning I could do whatever I want
[31:15]then Where's God in the equation Allah is not in the equation
[31:21]anymore that means god is sitting and I'm and I'm doing everything
[31:23]on my own and this is also wrong because we know Allah
[31:30]has authority over our lives so here we see the solution is
[31:33]from the island foreign God has destined your life for you people
[31:53]are in three categories he says one group one person says God
[32:07]forced people to sin meaning I didn't sin God made me sin
[32:09]God made me do it I was predestined to do it the
[32:16]person who says this is oppressing God meaning you're saying God is
[32:21]doing the killing God is doing the oppressing God is doing all
[32:24]of that this is in the level of kufur a type of
[32:27]blasphemy and Allah foreign and another person he comes and he says
[32:42]God does not have authority people are doing whatever they want meaning
[32:47]if people want to do right people want to do wrong God
[32:50]can never stop them God God does not have authority over them
[32:55]and this is also a type of kufur and then he says
[32:58]the third and Allah and the third category is the one that
[33:07]says the people to do that which they can handle and God
[33:15]does not make you do something that is beyond your reach something
[33:18]that you cannot handle Allah and this person if they do good
[33:32]they thank Allah if they do wrong they they seekhar because they
[33:35]did the wrong it was their own choice that they did and
[33:38]another Hadith from Imam he says there's no predestination when jabber means
[33:47]majboor meaning we're forced to do what we did means God says
[33:53]meaning I allow people to do whatever they want it's something in
[34:04]between it's something in between so the narrator he says I asked
[34:11]the Imam what is how could it be something in between he's
[34:34]saying it's as if you see someone who's about to do something
[34:40]wrong and you tell this person don't do this this is wrong
[34:43]don't do this and the person did not listen to you can
[34:47]someone come and say you're you're also responsible for that wrong no
[34:52]because you already told the person not to do it same with
[34:59]Allah God gave us the power God gave us the authority God
[35:01]gave me the ability to raise my hand God gave me the
[35:06]ability to walk the ability to run to do everything that I
[35:08]do but Allah also gave me teachings Allah tells me don't do
[35:15]this don't do that don't do this do this do that I
[35:20]have the capacity to choose certain things now yes there are certain
[35:23]things that are out of my capacity I didn't choose who my
[35:27]parents are I didn't choose in what time I'm born but I
[35:29]chose to be a good person I chose to pray I chose
[35:32]to fast I chose to tell the truth I chose to lie
[35:35]or I chose to kill I chose to oppress I chose to
[35:36]steal I chose to do whatever that I did and here the
[35:41]group of people that say it is God who did all of
[35:47]this they are attributing Injustice to Allah and that is wrong that
[35:51]means you're saying God is allowing people to do the wrong so
[35:55]there's another story also from the imams of the adult Bates this
[36:02]man this story is narrated by Abu hanifa now Abu hanifa he
[36:04]lived during the time of Imam sadak and Imam he was a
[36:13]student of Imam he studied for two years under Imam but later
[36:20]on he started seeing himself you know he had some followers some
[36:25]of the governments who were in opposition to Imam they were allowing
[36:29]him to to have freedom so that there will be an opposition
[36:33]to Imam even though he knows that the knowledge is truly from
[36:39]and he has a statement he says if it was not for
[36:46]the two years his name is says I would have perished he
[36:51]travels from Iraq and he goes all the way to Medina because
[36:58]he wants to ask Imam sadak a question he has a question
[37:04]he wants to ask Imam he says I entered into the home
[37:09]of Imam and there were a lot of people the students of
[37:11]Anam sadak they're in the house so we were sitting and we
[37:15]were waiting for the Imam to come as we were waiting to
[37:20]come he says I saw a young child a young child who
[37:25]is about five six years old I asked who is this child
[37:29]they tell me this is Musa the son of Jafar Imam so
[37:36]he says I'm going to make him look like a fool I'm
[37:39]going to make him look bad in front of his Shia in
[37:43]front of his people I'm going to make him look bad and
[37:46]he tries to he asks a very silly question to Imam he
[37:52]tells him he tells him um just a second yes he tells
[38:04]him where hey hey young child he doesn't even call him by
[38:08]his name he doesn't respect him tells him where should someone go
[38:12]if they have to go and you know relieve themselves if they
[38:16]have to go and use the restroom what kind of question is
[38:22]this it's a silly question he answers him he tells him don't
[38:30]go under a tree where that has fruits don't go in in
[38:33]the middle of the road where people are traveling don't go next
[38:38]to the water where people are drinking from the water and and
[38:40]he answers him a very smart answer so Abu hanifa he wasn't
[38:46]expecting that kind of answer from a young child but he realized
[38:48]that this man this child he has the knowledge so he says
[38:54]you know what Imam does not here yet let me ask my
[38:56]question that I traveled all the way from Iraq to Madina let
[39:00]me ask it to this child so he says I asked him
[39:06]a question I tell him who is the sin from who is
[39:12]the one that commits the sin and at that time this was
[39:16]a huge issue of debate some people are saying God is the
[39:18]one who's forcing people others are saying it's people so Imam the
[39:26]young child he says it could only be three you only have
[39:30]three options either the Messiah the sin is from God and not
[39:37]from the ABD and not from the servant and this is Kabir
[39:40]this is wrong because how could God hold the servant accountable and
[39:44]it was God who committed the wrong okay and second he says
[39:52]it's either from both the ABD and God they it was committed
[39:58]together they both did the wrong together but this is also wrong
[40:04]because God is the more powerful of the partners and if God
[40:07]is the more powerful of the partners it's not right for the
[40:12]more powerful to have shared in the crime or in the wrong
[40:15]and yet make the make the weaker one face the consequences of
[40:21]the actions this is also Kabir this is also wrong so he
[40:23]says the only thing that we have is the third option and
[40:27]that is the masias from the the ABD is the one that
[40:31]commits the Messiah the servant is the one who commits the wrong
[40:34]Allah does not do anything wrong and he says I got my
[40:38]answer thank you and he gets up and he leaves he got
[40:41]his answer from the young child Imam and another Hadith Imam Imam
[40:50]uh this is narrated by IBN asakir from IBN Abbas he says
[40:58]after amironment came back with his army from safin the Muslims they
[41:03]were exhausted they were tired there was a civil war that took
[41:07]place they come back to kufa rajol and a man from the
[41:14]people of Arab he comes to see and he tells him tell
[41:26]us about our Jihad we went and we faced and confronted the
[41:33]people of sham the people of Damascus is this destined by Allah
[41:37]from Allah meaning did God destined this upon us yes he was
[41:48]an old man he tells him foreign means god doesn't this I
[42:16]mean God means God has knowledge of this and God doesn't dust
[42:19]in this upon you so then he says the man said and
[42:26]Allah Allah will reward me for everything that I did the man
[42:31]understood that God forced us to do all of this God forced
[42:34]us to go and face them and come back so he says
[42:35]then inshallah God will reward us for what what we did wait
[42:43]oh man and then he tells him maybe you think he tells
[42:55]them no you you have misunderstood maybe you think that God forced
[42:58]you to do this and you had no say in it if
[43:02]it was that if that was the case then there would be
[43:07]no point in giving you a reward if God forced that upon
[43:11]you then what's the point of reward and what's the point of
[43:15]punishment then why would God tell us this is halal and this
[43:18]is Haram if God is already forcing me to do what what
[43:22]has what has been destined upon me and there's no point in
[43:30]promising in heaven and promising in Hell well and you can't come
[43:37]and if someone did something wrong you can't come and say why
[43:39]did this person do something wrong if someone did something good you
[43:43]can't come and say masha'allah this person did something good he says
[43:52]then you don't know where's the good from the bad imagine a
[43:56]teacher forced some of the students to pass and force some of
[44:00]the students to fail and then at the end of the year
[44:02]you failed and you guys passed what's the point in this there's
[44:06]no value in this and then he tells them this is what
[44:09]the idol worshipers and those who do not go know Allah this
[44:14]is what they say and then he says Allah gave you the
[44:22]power gave you the authority to do good and bad and Allah
[44:26]also guided we have showed you the path we we gave you
[44:36]we empowered you we've showed you the path but it's up to
[44:39]you to choose so then and then he says and Allah will
[44:46]reward you based on the choice that you made so the man
[44:49]the man he got up and he started praising he recited poetry
[44:54]he tells him he says you are the real Imam that that
[45:12]we that we by obeying you we seek the mercy and the
[45:18]rahma and the rafran from Allah you have clarified our religion for
[45:26]us something that was not clear so may Allah reward you for
[45:29]what you have guided us so here my dear brothers and sisters
[45:32]this is the issue of now in the next session we're going
[45:38]to talk about how Allah today some people they come and they
[45:43]say okay so if if Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala knows what will
[45:50]happen to me but I am not forced or I am forced
[45:55]can I change my destiny can I change certain things in my
[45:59]life today some people they're living a miserable life they you married
[46:02]the wrong person you have a bad job something bad happened to
[46:07]you or something good happened to you and they say this is
[46:11]my destiny you know sometimes some people you talk to them why
[46:14]don't you do this they said no no this is this is
[46:17]what God doesn't for me is this acceptable no although we believe
[46:25]that our Qatar God knows it Allah knows what our ultimate end
[46:30]will be but Allah has given us the ability to change our
[46:37]destiny because there is two types of there's two types of Kadar
[46:42]there is the qadar the destiny that is unchangeable there are certain
[46:49]things that you could never change in your life like what what's
[46:52]something that no one could change death no one could escape from
[46:58]Death you could probably live longer or shorter based on the way
[47:02]you're living your life based on certain things that you do ultimately
[47:05]the day that we die that's the day that God wrote for
[47:09]us but then there are other days that God has written for
[47:14]us as well in fact we have a Hadith it says that
[47:16]the angel of death passes by us five times a day five
[47:22]times a day he comes and he takes a visit and just
[47:25]you know looks at me foreign things we could do in our
[47:33]lives it will haste in death and certain things we could do
[47:36]that will delay death we will mention inshallah for example if you
[47:39]give sadaka you are good to your parents these are all things
[47:45]that will increase your life that will increase your prolong your life
[47:49]but can I escape from death ultimately I can't escape from death
[47:54]death is something that has been written down upon everyone I can't
[48:00]I can't escape from that but I could do certain things that
[48:02]will change it so we can change our destiny parts of it
[48:08]we could change parts of it we cannot change but ultimately whatever
[48:11]ends up happening to us that is what God has written down
[48:16]for us and that is what Allah knew about that will happen
[48:20]to us so here we will stop inshallah in the next session
[48:23]we will go deeper into the topic of changing Destiny the role
[48:30]of the role of Leila the role of all of these things
[48:32]that um that we discuss and there's a concept called bada bada
[48:39]where does God change his mind regarding certain things if God changes
[48:44]his mind then that means God's knowledge changes my knowledge changes God
[48:49]doesn't change his mind so how do we understand certain things that
[48:53]were meant to happen but then something else happened so here we
[48:58]will we will stop here and inshaallah we will address these issues
[49:02]later when
