[0:14]wa sallahu allah sayidina muhammadin wa ala nabina Tajin allah wa salli
[0:22]ala muhammad wa ala muhammad as we continue our journey into the
[0:28]book of intellect let us examine tradition 1 point 1 point 5
[0:39]which you will find on page 15 in the book of the
[0:42]intellect we are examining the significance of one's intellect that power which
[0:50]guides you to your creator to allah subhana wa ta'ala is the
[0:54]intellect through the intellect we worship God so it's very important and
[1:00]crucial for us to know the intellect the dimensions of the intellect
[1:10]and eventually how to achieve a higher level of the octal or
[1:16]the intellect this hadith is a very interesting hadith that sheds a
[1:22]lot of light on the system of God how he judges the
[1:31]human beings and how he rewards the human beings it's a very
[1:36]interesting hadith so let's quickly examine the chain you will find that
[1:45]the change starts with one who in the previous hadith if you
[1:50]go to tradition one point one point for the hadith starts with
[1:56]which narrator muhammad eben Yehia now for the sake of brevity not
[2:04]to repeat the same narrator al : who says one who and
[2:07]it's been narrated from him so who does he mean by saying
[2:14]from him he means the previous hadith the chain started with who
[2:17]Hammad Albania heya so this chain also starts with Mohammed eben Yehia
[2:25]so you wouldn't repeat his name you just says Lana and it's
[2:29]been narrated from him who's him the pronoun is referring to Mohammed
[2:34]Abad mejia Mohammed Amin Yehia is reliable and he is the teacher
[2:39]of el colony who does he narrate the hadith from and omit
[2:44]a bin Mohammed Ahmed bin Mohammed we have to imagine Mohammed's in
[2:56]this same group in the chain who were contemporaries of each other
[3:03]the first one is a Shari alchemy al-ashari alchemy was one of
[3:07]the Companions of Allah mama rava an imam and Jo art and
[3:11]al imam al Hadi peace be upon them all he was a
[3:12]scholar he was a great figure at the time and he was
[3:20]the first scholar to live in the city of Qom we hear
[3:26]about comb right in Iran where today holds the largest Shah seminary
[3:30]what was the origin of it it started with this man he
[3:33]migrated took home and over there he established a base for the
[3:42]followers of a debate we're talking about a thousand years ago so
[3:47]this is one medieval Muhammad there is another one who is a
[3:51]MIDI bin Mohammed Alberti his last name is Albert II Salam aleikum
[4:01]now both of these narrators are reliable whether it's an Asha alchemy
[4:08]he's reliable whether it's Albert II he's also reliable and Kalina doesn't
[4:13]tell us exactly who of them he's narrating this hadith from right
[4:17]he's not giving us his last name but based on the clues
[4:21]in the hadith it is most likely that it's the first one
[4:23]and Lashari alchemy so the hadith is from an - re alchemy
[4:29]now regardless whether it's Albert Lee or alchemy they are both reliable
[4:34]so it really doesn't matter for us well the hadith is from
[4:37]who because whether it's Albert the Oracle me they're both reliable so
[4:44]the hadith is reliable so forth an ippon Favell they've been for
[4:47]a while as we explained in a previous tradition he is also
[4:52]reliable his full name is al hassan eben ali a benefit van
[5:06]that's his full name for sure we just call him Ben for
[5:09]mud even for Val was a very important narrator now some past
[5:19]scholars had an issue with his real liability because he became a
[5:25]father he after an imam sadiq ali silla who are the Fatah
[5:32]haze the Fatah haze were a sect a group of people who
[5:34]believed that the Imam after al imam sadiq was not a liminal
[5:41]Calvin his son but his other son Abdullah and after because the
[5:45]lamanno side of an asylum had several sons smile abdullah al imam
[5:50]al Karim Ali Salah there was a sect called the Fatah here
[5:57]the factor haya they believed that the imam the seventh imam the
[6:01]a man that comes directly after al imam sadiq is who is
[6:06]abdullah and after they were misguided into believing that even for van
[6:12]the narrator whom we're discussing right now initially he became a father
[6:18]him so his Ikeda became corrupted his belief system was corrupted then
[6:23]later on it is said that as he was dying he repented
[6:31]to Allah and he went back to the correct path and he
[6:34]was amongst the Companions of al Ahmar livadas salah so he is
[6:41]reliable whether he is a beta is corrupt or not that's a
[6:45]different issue but scholars agree those who knew him who witness and
[6:51]attested you know to his lifestyle they said he was truthful he
[6:56]would not make up lies so even facade is reliable and then
[7:04]he narrates it from al-hasan evening jam and hassan evening jam is
[7:10]also reliable so this hadith when looking at the chain is that
[7:13]a reliable chain or no yes it is reliable why because every
[7:20]single narrator in the chain is reliable so we're looking at this
[7:23]chain we can say this is a solid chain it's an authentic
[7:25]chain and that is an indication that the hadith is correct now
[7:31]let's examine the hadith it's a very interesting hadith that really sheds
[7:37]light on how God judges people so what does the hadith say
[7:42]in this hadith Allah who says that an Hasan of ninja who
[7:52]is reliable going to libel hasson i said to abu hassan upon
[7:56]hassan is the title of several imams of elevate an imam al
[8:02]Karim Ali Salaam one of his titles is abul hassan an imam
[8:05]musa alayhis salam also one of his titles is Abu Hassan so
[8:10]a number of Imams share this title in this hadith it's not
[8:16]clear to us whose Abu Hassan which Imam is the Taliban will
[8:20]cover is it le mom I realize it's al imam al Heidi
[8:26]it's not clear however because the one who narrates the hadith is
[8:31]Al Hasan AB ninja he was one of the Companions of an
[8:36]imam in column and alabama rava but he narrates most of his
[8:39]hadiths from alabama robbery salam therefore we can conclude here that abul
[8:46]hassein here is who al imam Oro Valley Sara but it doesn't
[8:51]really matter whether it's Imam in column or in Halawa it's from
[8:54]the Imam but the indicate that this hadith is from Allah Muhammad
[8:58]Ali Saleh I said to Abell hassan al imam Aravalli Salaam in
[9:05]and Anna Goldman l'homme muhabba there is a group of people amongst
[9:11]us the father is a very bait when he says us that
[9:17]means we the Shia they have what is called muhabba they carry
[9:21]the love of Alan Bates they love the and bade peace be
[9:29]upon them however when they set low home till Keller azeema but
[9:33]they don't have that firm faith that firm resolve they're not fixed
[9:39]in faith so they do love the animal bait but when you
[9:46]examine their belief system they're not that fixed their knowledge their Iman
[9:52]is not deep so if you argue with them you know what
[9:55]is your proof what is your evidence you'll find that their Iman
[10:01]is pretty shallow their faith is pretty shallow it's not a deep
[10:05]faith they don't have that resolved they love the animal bait but
[10:09]when it comes to their intellectual conviction you find them to be
[10:18]weak lace at love them till calles EEMA yo Nona be hard
[10:22]alone they say what we say what does that mean they're Shia
[10:27]they believe in the Imams and they claim to love the Imams
[10:36]they claim to follow the Imams so he's asking the Imam on
[10:40]Islam what about these people or their actions accepted what about them
[10:47]I want to hear from you or Imam what is to become
[10:52]of them will they be punished for not having that firm faith
[10:55]or not because their faith is pretty weak we can tell but
[11:03]they still love you they still try to follow the Imams of
[11:06]a little bit what's their destiny what will happen now in today's
[11:11]world we find many such people right people who love the animate
[11:14]peace be upon them but their faith may be not that deep
[11:19]maybe not maybe not not that fixed it's kind of shallow the
[11:23]response of the Imam Ali Salaam is a very interesting and important
[11:30]response what does the Imam Ali Salaam see the Imam Ali Salaam
[11:34]says laser Allah ikemen art of Allah he says these people that
[11:38]you're describing they're not amongst those people whom Allah in the Quran
[11:44]reprimands rebukes and attacks because Allah in the Quran rebukes a number
[11:54]of people God says those people who blindly follow the evil traditions
[12:00]blindly follow their parents for example their ancestors they don't know the
[12:07]truth allah subhanaw taala reprimands them allah subhanaw taala attacks them in
[12:11]the holy quran you know you should go and investigate to know
[12:14]what the truth is don't say just because my parents my society
[12:17]said so I'm accepting it because that's what the Arabs would do
[12:23]the pagans oh we saw our parents and grandparents worshipping the idols
[12:27]we worshipped idols as well the Quran reprimands them they don't have
[12:33]any firm faith so the Imam Ali Salim says these followers of
[12:37]elevate that you're talking about who love the added bait but they
[12:41]don't have deep faith allah subhanaw taala does not attack them to
[12:48]the point where God will consider them not to be believers they
[12:52]are believers but they're weak believers allah subhanaw taala says in the
[12:59]holy quran in one verse fabulou you will observe take heed all
[13:03]possessors of insight you people who can see the truth you have
[13:11]the intellectual capacity to know right from wrong why don't you heed
[13:16]what your intellect tells you so Allah is reprimanding those people right
[13:22]those pagans who oh I just found my grandparents worshipping the idols
[13:26]and last as I've given you the intellect why didn't you follow
[13:29]your intellect to know what is right from what is wrong or
[13:34]those who reject the existence of God such as the atheists unless
[13:36]panettone has given them intellect so Allah says in the Holy Quran
[13:40]why don't you heed all people haven't I given you vision intellect
[13:47]in my Mossad Akane Salaam says when God is reprimanding these people
[13:55]he's not reprimanding those whom you described the followers of Alan Bates
[14:01]who love us who are trying to follow us but they have
[14:05]weak faith if you argue with them give us proofs they really
[14:11]don't have much proofs to give you either they grew up in
[14:14]that way or intellectually they're weak but they do love the animal
[14:20]bait and they're trying to follow the path of a little bit
[14:23]the imam ali salam says Allah is not rebuking those people and
[14:27]saying that your iman is not accepted because for your faith to
[14:34]be accepted it has to be a firm faith if it's not
[14:38]deep if it's you know wishy-washy you're not sure about your faith
[14:42]it may not be accepted however the Imam Hani Salaam says these
[14:47]people Allah Subhanahu WA Ta'ala will accept that from them let's continue
[14:52]the hadith so yes the hadith ends over here let's shed light
[14:59]on this hadith there is a verse in the Holy Quran which
[15:08]scholars continuously debate it's verse 97 from Surat Annisa 497 let us
[15:13]turn to this verse and read this verse because it's a very
[15:23]important verse surah an-nisa verse 97 Allah Subhanahu WA Ta'ala States and
[15:32]this verse it's actually verse 98 ENL most of our phenomena rajala
[15:41]one Nisa well will Dan Elias Taruna phillotson voila tadhana Sibylla there
[15:47]is a very important verse in the quran that says when the
[15:53]angels come to take our souls for some people they are not
[15:57]believers they died on the right wrong path the angels will ask
[16:05]them why did you not believe in God and follow the path
[16:08]of God what will they say they will say oh we were
[16:15]weak we did not have the religious freedom to practice our faith
[16:20]and as a result we lost our faith let's say you live
[16:26]in a pagan society that will not allow you to worship the
[16:32]One God right the angels will tell them isn't the land of
[16:36]God vast why didn't you migrate if you're in a place and
[16:40]that place denied you the right to worship God no one forced
[16:47]you to stay there you could have migrated and in Islam we
[16:52]have that migration the Prophet migrated and many people followed him so
[17:02]to save your faith to save your morality you have to sometimes
[17:06]migrate sometimes it becomes mandatory for you to migrate if your religion
[17:11]is at stake so the angels will tell them that's not an
[17:15]excuse you could have migrated and saved yourself and achieved salvation then
[17:23]the verse makes one exception inland most of our fina except those
[17:30]what does the word most of afine means weak or helpless there
[17:39]are several translations here except those who are helpless from the men
[17:43]the woman and the children there are some people who are helpless
[17:49]helpless in what ways in two ways one their intellectual capacity some
[18:01]people just don't have that power of reason because of a weakness
[18:06]in their intellect it's difficult for them to see the right from
[18:10]the wrong you know some people they just have the weak intellect
[18:17]their mind just doesn't question things they accept everything they've been told
[18:22]they easily get brainwashed easily they have no sense of judgment it's
[18:28]very difficult for them to see the right from the wrong that's
[18:31]one type of helpless people that we have most evolved now sometimes
[18:39]this could be a deficiency in their brain that could cause this
[18:42]it could be a deficiency in their soul that could cause this
[18:47]there are a number of reasons that could cause this but the
[18:55]point is they have a weakness in judgment or with some woman
[18:58]it becomes easier for us to understand how if you look at
[19:04]past societies women were isolated they didn't they were not given access
[19:09]to education right so when you don't have education and as a
[19:13]woman you're just living in a village a thousand years ago no
[19:16]real opportunities for you to know the truth then you don't have
[19:23]that strong judgment because of that lack of education so when you
[19:27]ask a woman in that village okay why did you follow the
[19:30]path of these pagans and you did not follow the path of
[19:35]God you know she doesn't know any better what is she going
[19:38]to do she did not go to school she was not educated
[19:42]she was denied to her society did not allow her to be
[19:47]educated so she has a weak sense of judgment it's difficult for
[19:49]her to see the truth because of the environment in which she
[19:52]lives and the children as obvious you know those children who are
[19:58]not mature yet they have a weak sense of judgment la Spinoza
[20:02]Allah says those who do not die as believers but there is
[20:08]a weakness in their intellect such as some man elderly man maybe
[20:13]some woman elderly woman some children then it is the case that
[20:18]allah subhanaw taala will most likely forgive them yes they could have
[20:23]theoretically went and researched and found the truth but they did not
[20:32]make that effort due to their circumstances the Holy Quran says oh
[20:38]Allah Ya Allah who and yet for I'm home what kind a
[20:44]la I for one is a fool then allah subhanho wa taala
[20:46]will most likely forgive these people because Allah is forgiving they don't
[20:51]know forgive them or one hadith says God will retest them on
[20:54]the day of judgement meaning he'll give them another chance so those
[21:00]with a weak intellect then allah subhanaw taala could forgive them that's
[21:08]one type another type is that you see this person does not
[21:11]necessarily have a weak intellect they're fully sound but because of the
[21:18]circumstances of their society their distance from a guide from learning centers
[21:24]from knowledge from scholars just kept them busy and distracted with their
[21:31]life and as a result they did not believe so the common
[21:36]idea here is that these people did not become believers not because
[21:42]they were stubborn not because they rejected the truth but because they
[21:52]just did not have the best opportunity to see the truth yes
[21:56]theoretically they could have exerted more effort to go and find the
[21:59]truth they could have because you'll always have an example of a
[22:04]person who lived in a village and everyone around him were not
[22:07]believers but he managed to find his way so it's theoretically possible
[22:12]for these people to investigate I mean had they investigated more they
[22:16]would have seen the truth they did not make that extra effort
[22:21]but the reason why they did not make that extra effort was
[22:24]not because they have a problem with God because they're stubborn no
[22:29]they're good-natured if they see the truth they accept it you know
[22:35]sometimes in your conversations with some non-muslims right or even some atheists
[22:40]I've had some conversations with some atheists or those who don't believe
[22:45]in God but they don't reject God either they're just not sure
[22:50]if God exists I've had conversations with such people you know when
[22:54]you talk to them for a few minutes half an hour an
[22:58]hour once I had this conversation with an atheist on a plane
[23:01]that lasted for two hours you'll find some of them they're not
[23:05]arrogant they're not stubborn they just haven't seen the truth worded properly
[23:11]once you speak to them and you interact with their fettle on
[23:18]their innate nature with their conscience they start believing they don't reject
[23:22]they're willing to hear these people allah subhanaw taala will he punished
[23:27]and sent to how send to hell fire no the quran is
[23:31]saying these people in these circumstances there is room for forgiveness even
[23:37]if they die as non-muslims there's room for forgiveness because they're not
[23:44]stubborn you have two types of unbelievers you've got one who's stubborn
[23:48]who will reject the truth even when he clearly sees it yes
[23:54]those people God will punish because they're defying God and they're rejecting
[23:59]the truth there are some people like that and then there are
[24:04]the vast majority of people I would you know estimate the vast
[24:08]majority of people they don't have a problem with God they simply
[24:15]haven't seen the truth clearly yes they could have made more of
[24:18]an effort to see the truth but they did not so they
[24:22]do have some shortcomings but at the end of the day they're
[24:24]not stubborn it's not out of stubbornness and evil that they were
[24:28]the truth so the quran says in this verse verse 98 of
[24:34]Surat Annisa there is room for God's forgiveness a last planet Allah
[24:37]can forgive them and he doesn't have to punish them you can
[24:45]forgive them now when we take this verse and we link it
[24:48]to our hadeeth here we see that the imam ali salam says
[24:54]when it comes to some of these followers of alan bates that
[24:58]narrator is telling the imam they have a weak intellect they love
[25:04]you the onion bait maybe they'll try to follow you but they're
[25:07]not firm in faith the imam a nice arab says allah will
[25:13]accept that from them it's still accepted god will not say you
[25:16]know what your faith was not firm i will reject that from
[25:19]you and you're not going to have it and you're going to
[25:22]hell no the Imam says they are not amongst those people who've
[25:25]got criticizes in the Quran who saw the truth and rejected it
[25:32]these people they do have the correct faith and maybe incomplete it
[25:36]may not be fixed but at the end of the day Allah
[25:44]spanish Allah will accept it from them so this hadith is very
[25:48]important for us to understand how just a la spada ana is
[25:52]and that he judges you according to your intellect because the intellect
[25:56]of these people is kind of weak allah subhanaw taala will accept
[26:00]that from them now yes will they get the same reward as
[26:06]the one who has that firm fixed iman in allah no obviously
[26:10]not the one who has a firm fixed faith in allah subhanaw
[26:15]taala and in the end the debate peace be upon them will
[26:17]have a much higher rank on the day of judgment in paradise
[26:22]and in gender but these people will still be saved they'll still
[26:27]make it yes so if they have sins let's say and they've
[26:33]asked for repentance Allah spano to Allah will obviously forgive them if
[26:38]they did not repent for some sins God can still punish them
[26:42]yes well at the moment of death and the grave on the
[26:46]day of judgment if we've wronged other people and we were careless
[26:49]we did not go and seek their forgiveness right or see God's
[26:52]forgiveness on last planet Allah might hold us accountable for some of
[26:58]those sins but will they be saved will they go to paradise
[27:00]yes they will so there are many people who will make it
[27:06]into paradise but after being punished for their sins right because Allah
[27:10]is just if he's going to forgive every single sin you've ever
[27:14]committed right even those sins that you have not even asked for
[27:21]forgiveness and truly repented from than where's the justice of God so
[27:25]there is the justice of God they will be punished for some
[27:29]of their sins even though God will forgive most sins but yes
[27:32]they will be punished for some sense but they will make it
[27:36]to paradise they will be saved even if their iman is weak
[27:40]due to a weakness maybe in their intellect but will their rank
[27:44]be the same as those who were fixed in Iman and faith
[27:49]no definitely not so Allah will accept their faith even if its
[27:52]weak yes sister [Music] very very good questions as for the first
[28:33]question an atheist who's angry with God yes if you have discussions
[28:39]with some atheists you'll find oftentimes there is a reason why they
[28:43]became atheists it could have been a tragic event the loss of
[28:49]a loved one for example that causes them to reject the will
[28:53]of God and angry at the will of God and so they
[28:56]come and reject God altogether this is stubbornness yes see when you
[29:01]reject God and his system that means you don't trust God you
[29:07]don't accept his judgment and it means you know better than God
[29:11]you know when someone objects to God and they say why did
[29:17]this happen why you know sometimes you could slip and say that
[29:20]why when you're just in an angry state but then you go
[29:25]back to your sentence sometimes it's permanent when some of these atheists
[29:29]know they have this continuous anger at God when it when you
[29:32]challenge God and say why did that happen why did you allow
[29:37]that to happen that means I know better than you because if
[29:38]things were in my hand I would not have allowed them to
[29:42]happen isn't that what it means that's a big offence to God
[29:45]it's a big challenge to God so those who have this anger
[29:51]and they're mentally stable we're not talking about someone who because of
[29:56]a tragedy became unstable mentally because that will happen sometimes the severity
[29:59]of the tragedy will just mainly make you lose your senses you're
[30:06]no longer thinking rationally and you're just not in a proper healthy
[30:09]mental state that's what different issue knows God he can forgive because
[30:13]they're not in a proper mental state but if you find an
[30:18]atheist who's in a proper mental state they're not having any mental
[30:21]you know they're not traumatized by this tragedy to the point where
[30:25]their power of reason is impacted no they do have the power
[30:32]of reason but they just don't they just don't accept what happened
[30:35]to them and so do you reject God I still can't say
[30:40]a hundred percent that'll last - Allah will punish them but they
[30:43]deserve to be punished you know as long as in their heart
[30:48]and their conscious they do know there was a god there is
[30:50]a God and they know God has a system but they're just
[30:55]not willing to accept his judgments they're not willing to trust the
[30:59]will of God so these people are actually challenging allah subhanaw taala
[31:04]and the one who challenges god that's out of stubbornness so if
[31:10]you find that it is out of stubbornness if they die that
[31:13]way they don't repent yes they deserve to be punished yes if
[31:16]there's repentant if they repent there's always room for repentance the hadith
[31:20]says as long as you have not seen the angel of death
[31:24]yet so even if you are like dying but you still haven't
[31:28]seen the angel of death Allah will still accept your repentance if
[31:32]you repent but some of them they just continue in their arrogance
[31:36]and in their stubbornness you know I remember once there was a
[31:43]debate between a Muslim and an atheist they were talking initially the
[31:47]atheist was calm and you know he was trying to get his
[31:49]point across then at the end he revealed his true intentions his
[31:58]true state at the end he said with anger who is this
[32:01]God that I have to be subjected to see that's arrogance that's
[32:10]not excusable if this person is mentally sound he's not crazy and
[32:15]he's seen and he says those words and he means those words
[32:17]that stubbornness this person is arrogant he doesn't want to be subjected
[32:21]to the laws of God so when it comes to these people
[32:29]it's different you know their judgment will be more severe and more
[32:32]difficult but we're talking about someone who does not have that arrogance
[32:35]you know for the person who if he sees that God really
[32:38]wants this from him he's willing to accept and I would characterize
[32:42]most people my assessment is that most people are not arrogant and
[32:45]they're not stubborn we talked to them gently properly you show them
[32:52]step by step the proofs they're willing to accept so this hadith
[32:58]is a very important hadith and it really you know unlocks a
[33:02]very important window for us because I know some Muslims have this
[33:05]idea that if you're not a Muslim you're going to hell just
[33:10]like other members of other faiths right the Christians they believe if
[33:13]you don't believe in Jesus that's it you're not saved you could
[33:18]be the you know biggest philanthropist on earth the one who has
[33:21]the best deeds but if you don't believe in Jesus I'm not
[33:23]saying all of them believe that some of them do believe that
[33:27]that's you won't be safe and you'll be going to hell yes
[33:29]did you have something to say they're not sure of God yeah
[33:45]so those who are not sure of God's existence is it due
[33:49]to rejection of the truth or just because of a weak intellect
[33:56]or because of you know being brainwashed you know why you have
[33:59]to investigate why are they not sure of the existence of God
[34:04]because the intellect is very clear that you have a creator the
[34:07]intellect is very clear on that Allah has programmed our intellect to
[34:13]guide us to him so this agnostic who's not rejecting God but
[34:20]he's not sure you have two types of agnostics you know the
[34:23]one who you'll show them the truth and sometimes they do see
[34:29]the truth but they just don't want to come in they'll have
[34:32]a tough time because at the end of the day the intellect
[34:36]tells them you you you believe in God you believe you have
[34:39]to believe in your career it's not an optional thing where you
[34:44]subscribe to or not you're created you have a master and your
[34:48]master wants something from you now yes you could have another type
[34:54]who it's not out of stubbornness it's not about it's not out
[34:58]of rejection of the truth but they just have not seen the
[35:03]truth maybe a weakness there's a weakness and their intellect that could
[35:06]be a possible thing there's a weakness in their intellect that's blocking
[35:10]them from seeing the truth so if they're not stubborn and if
[35:14]they are the type that you show them the truth they're willing
[35:18]to accept it yes these people there's room for forgiveness even if
[35:25]they die that way there's room for a last pound tality to
[35:28]retest them or just to forgive them so it really depends why
[35:33]this person is an agnostic there could be many many reasons but
[35:38]the important point here is not to be stubborn with the truth
[35:42]because look some people do see the truth they do bump into
[35:48]the truth come oculars come across the truth but they can't bring
[35:53]themselves to accept it that's wrong what's you the truth you see
[36:00]the truth go accept it we are not making a judgment here
[36:15]that's why I can't make a judgment and say who's going to
[36:19]be punished and not however the Quran gives me guidelines the Quran
[36:25]says the one who has stubbornness who knows the truth and deliberately
[36:30]rejects it deserves to be punished Allah is making that judgment Allah
[36:34]says I've created you I've shown you both ways the good and
[36:37]the bad I've given you tools to figure out which is the
[36:42]right way if you see that right way and you reject it
[36:44]stubbornly you deserve to be punished so Allah is making that judgment
[36:49]so if I see someone in society and they're not a believer
[36:55]I can't automatically judge them but if based on my interaction with
[37:01]them it's very clear that this person is being stubborn is being
[37:05]arrogant you know when an atheist comes on with anger tells you
[37:08]who is this God that I have to be subjected to that's
[37:13]clear arrogance you don't need ice time to figure that out it's
[37:16]clear arrogance so all I could say is look you person if
[37:22]you continue this way you deserve to be punished by God because
[37:25]that's out of arrogance and stubbornness so it's not that we're making
[37:30]a judgment a last planet Allah has given us guidelines and sometimes
[37:34]these guidelines clearly apply to certain individuals so we're not passing out
[37:39]a judgement that's why it's wrong for you to come out and
[37:43]say every non-muslim is going to hell we don't make such judgment
[37:46]at least in the method have a valid debate people pon them
[37:48]we don't make such you know blanket judgments it depends why this
[37:54]person is not a believer in God or a believer in Islam
[37:56]is that out of you know just the circumstances of a society
[38:03]and ignorance or is it out of stubbornness because let's face it
[38:06]look we have some people even in every society even here in
[38:09]America there are some people who are stubborn they're either you know
[38:15]fueled by racism or prejudice or they have this feeling of supremacy
[38:20]right even if they know the truth is with Islam and they
[38:25]see it they'll reject it you do have some people like that
[38:28]but I would say these are the minority of people the majority
[38:31]of people are not stubborn if they see the truth they'll accept
[38:40]it the truth is out there obviously that's why the Quran says
[38:49]o Allah there is room for God to forgive them allah is
[38:56]not saying they deserve to be forgiven know a lot that then
[38:58]at the end of the day could tell them look the truth
[39:01]was out there had you made a greater effort like so-and-so did
[39:05]and you of them examples of other people who made that extra
[39:09]effort you would have seen the truth but Allah is merciful if
[39:12]light did not create us to punish us Allah will tell them
[39:17]look you still have shortcomings you could have figured out the truth
[39:21]but you didn't make that extra for it but I know that
[39:26]you're not stubborn if I show you the truth you'll accept it
[39:29]it's not out of stubbornness so there's room for me to forgive
[39:34]you yell I forgive you you don't deserve to be forgiven you're
[39:37]not entitled to be forgiven because at the end of the day
[39:39]you did not believe and what I asked you to believe so
[39:43]there's no right over it they had you know they have no
[39:48]right on allah subhanaw taala only the believers have a right because
[39:52]God himself put that right God says whoever believes does good then
[39:55]I have imposed a right on myself to forgive you and take
[40:00]you to paradise but when it comes to these people they have
[40:04]no right so allah subhanaw taala you know out of his own
[40:07]mercy you will say look you don't necessarily deserve to be forgiven
[40:13]I could hold you accountable and deny you paradise or deny you
[40:22]my reward but I will have mercy on some people abuse the
[40:29]mercy and forgiveness of allah subhana wa ta'ala so they'll be punished
[40:35]for that transgression but if they do have the iman and they
[40:39]die with that iman then eventually they'll be saved but all those
[40:44]acts of transgression that they did deliberately and they were careless about
[40:49]it and they did not repent they'll be punished for the hadith
[40:52]is very clear either in the grave on the day of judgment
[40:54]they'll have to pay for those sins but in the end if
[40:59]they had faith in Iman they will be saved but after what
[41:00]after being punished so it's not worth it so yes the one
[41:09]who says la ilaha ilallah who believes in the oneness of allah
[41:13]subhana wa ta'ala then if they die with that faith and they
[41:19]did not you know reject the signs of God deliberately then they
[41:26]will go to paradise because you'll have some people who say it
[41:31]on their lips Saddam Hussein said like I had a lot too
[41:34]but is he going to paradise when he defied the laws of
[41:38]God by killing for example innocent people no such a person is
[41:42]not entitled to paradise why because they committed major crimes out of
[41:49]arrogance and stubbornness so that lie and Allah is not superficial so
[41:56]yes it does include the non-muslims provided they did not reject the
[42:02]holy prophet sallallahu alayhi wa ala deliberately but if a non-muslim who
[42:07]believes in the oneness of God says ok I believe that God
[42:11]is one and we should worship God you tell them ok here's
[42:14]the message of the Prophet here's the message of the Quran if
[42:19]they see the message clearly they see the truth yet they reject
[42:23]it then they're not entitled to the reward of allah subhanaw taala
[42:27]because la ila had the last conditions you know when you believe
[42:34]in God then you follow God so it's not the hadith is
[42:36]not saying oh if you just say on your tongue Lyla had
[42:39]a lie you're going to paradise no if the one who believes
[42:43]in this phrase in the meanings of it and the conditions of
[42:48]it then yes will they enter paradise after being purified if they
[42:56]see it all goes back to stubbornness and rejection the one who's
[43:01]stubborn and rejects the signs of god and rejects the truth Allah
[43:09]could still end up forgiving them some narrations indicate they will not
[43:13]make it to heaven God will take them elsewhere to give them
[43:16]that reward but those who were stubborn and rejected the truth they're
[43:21]not entitled to to go to paradise unless unless - Allah wants
[43:26]to forgive he owns paradise and he can choose whatever you would
[43:30]like so even if after that top here are they still qualified
[43:34]for paradise only Allah can make that judgment and depends on their
[43:39]you know degree of stubbornness because stubbornness comes with with many degrees
[43:44]there are some people maybe initially they'll resist and they'll be stubborn
[43:47]but then English later on they'll accept but there are some people
[43:50]known as the Quran says if you bring them back they'll do
[43:56]the same exact thing those people they know they're not entitled to
[44:01]the forgiveness of allah subhanho time so there's one interesting hadith from
[44:10]an imam and even ABI talib salawatullahi he says when I akka
[44:17]is smallest of off who is the one who's concerned a Mustafa
[44:21]a helpless person a lamb and Bela that Bela that will Hodja
[44:25]he says the one who the truth reached him Samia ha Kissimmee
[44:34]otra you know he heard it the truth reached his ears wah
[44:41]wah I have a newborn and his heart meaning his mind understood
[44:45]it sometimes a person might hear the truth but doesn't really understand
[44:51]it doesn't really see it especially people who are you know very
[44:55]brainwashed they just can't see it the amounts as if you see
[45:01]you hear the truth you see the truth and your mind perceives
[45:04]it understands it then you're no longer a Mustafa you're no longer
[45:10]a helpless person so if this person rejects they'll be held accountable
[45:13]because allow tell them you heard the truth and you understood the
[45:19]truth now yeah if you have a weakness in your intellect such
[45:22]that you can understand the truth or these circumstances of your society
[45:26]your environment has blocked you from seeing the truth that's a different
[45:30]story so this is indeed very important and interesting Hadees let's go
[45:37]to Hadees one point one point eight on page 21 and discuss
[45:48]an interesting story that happened now the chain of this story the
[45:53]chain itself it's a weak chain because there are some narrators here
[45:56]who are not reliable Annie you blew Mohammed his name his full
[46:02]name is abu al-hassan Elpis weeny he is theta reliable re you
[46:13]know Muhammad ibn Abdullah is reliable he he might be from cos
[46:18]weaned from the city of of cos weaned in Iran that day
[46:24]so no he is from a different family so he's reliable Anna
[46:28]Brahimi bin is hot allama he's not reliable and Mohammed bin Saleh
[46:33]man at Dayla me not reliable and ABI from his father not
[46:40]reliable so he have several narrators here that are not reliable now
[46:44]just because the chain is life is weak does that mean the
[46:49]hadeeth is weak no because alkylene he might have seen this hadeeth
[46:52]and other reliable sources or he actually has that book in which
[46:56]the hadith is mentioned but he is just giving us a chain
[47:00]because he knows the hadith is correct and remember if someone's not
[47:04]reliable does that mean everything they say is false no in fact
[47:08]the narrator's what they would do you'll find 80 90 percent of
[47:12]their ideas were correct 10 is wrong that's how they fool you
[47:18]right because if everything they say is clearly false who's going to
[47:21]accept from them who's going to follow from them so even if
[47:26]the narrators and as unreliable does that mean we automatically dismiss the
[47:30]hadith no we still have to look at the hadith examine daddy
[47:33]now he says I asked an imam abu abdullah ali salam an
[47:41]imam sadiq peace be upon him he says for I know so-and-so
[47:45]person minibar that he he what dean he will fatherly he says
[47:53]I told about a person who is very high-ranking his ideas amazing
[47:59]his devotion his virtues he was praising him the Imam says look
[48:03]don't tell me about his a bother about his devotion I don't
[48:06]know what tell me about his actin tell me about his intellect
[48:12]his power of reason his vision to see right from wrong does
[48:19]he have that at all or no Petula Adri I said I
[48:22]don't know I'm just seeing the outside he's doing his prayers beautifully
[48:30]some of his actions seem to be amazing but I'm not sure
[48:33]about his intellect or öcalan I don't know how his power of
[48:36]reason is how he sees right from wrong I'm not sure about
[48:42]that the imam ali sallam told him look in nasa wanna Godzilla
[48:45]happened the reward that God gives you is based on your intellect
[48:51]the higher the intellect the greater the reward the Imam Ali Salaam
[48:56]then gives us an interesting story the translation of the story you
[49:00]will find here on the in the left column basically there was
[49:04]a man from Benny Israel from the children of his life so
[49:08]a man who came from the Jewish area this man was worshipping
[49:16]on a lush island beautiful rivers a beautiful island maybe it was
[49:20]a you know a tropical island we don't know it's a beautiful
[49:23]place and Angel passes by and he sees this man worshipping and
[49:31]praying day and night and this beautiful clean place so the angel
[49:35]says all wow the reward of this man must be so great
[49:39]because he all he's doing is worshipping God day and night Allah
[49:47]subhana Allah showed the angel revealed to the angel the size of
[49:51]this man's reward the angel saw it's very small angel was shocked
[49:56]angel said o God you know I I don't understand this person's
[50:02]worshipping you in this beautiful pure environment day and night and I
[50:07]thought this worshiper has such a high status with you but now
[50:12]that I've seen the reward you've revealed to me what his reward
[50:16]is it's so small Allah Spinoza Allah says go talk to this
[50:21]person befriend him and see you'll figure it out why so this
[50:28]angel transforms into a human being comes in the form of a
[50:30]human being he comes next to this worshiper on that island who
[50:35]was all alone worshipping God he tells him who you are you
[50:38]that man from Beni it's like it asked the angel in the
[50:41]form of a human being who are you the angel says I'm
[50:46]the worshiper and I've heard about your worship and I'm impressed by
[50:49]you so I want to just hang out here and worship along
[50:54]with you he says okay that's fine at the end of the
[50:56]day after they worshiped God both together that man made a very
[51:07]strange statement what did he say the angel told him it's a
[51:10]beautiful place it's such a pure place and alhamdulillah we've been worshipping
[51:13]God the man said yes it's a beautiful place but there's one
[51:20]problem he says what he says you see all this green grass
[51:23]too bad God does not have a donkey and this donkey would
[51:30]eat from this grass so all this grass is going to waste
[51:33]Haram tells him what is I can't you know if God had
[51:39]a donkey and this donkey would make use of this graph this
[51:41]this grass it would be a beautiful place but all this grass
[51:46]is going to waste and you know God doesn't have an add-on
[51:50]key a personal donkey for him to eat this grass so the
[51:54]angel says okay marcella i'ma buy I I now know why your
[51:58]reward is so small this was his intellect he was worshipping God
[52:02]with this mentality that this grass is going to waste why does
[52:06]God not have a donkey so he realized that the intellect of
[52:12]this person is very shallow what kind of is that so Allah
[52:16]says see that small I still give them a reward at the
[52:20]end of the day he's worshiping me okay he's not killing people
[52:23]and you know committing sins but I'll just give him a small
[52:27]reward compared to the true faithful one because this mentality is very
[52:35]shallow this person doesn't question himself I've given him the hakka event
[52:39]like question yourself who is this God that you worshipping why does
[52:43]God need a camel a donkey and why does God only create
[52:46]grass on earth for donkeys to eat he's not using his brain
[52:51]he's just blindly worshipping like some people who pray they fast they
[52:55]may do these things but they're not doing it with vision they're
[52:59]not doing it with this intellectual power islam teaches you when you
[53:05]worship god it has to be based on contemplation that's why the
[53:11]hadith says the best act of worship is contemplation it's better than
[53:16]70 erica's because it's the contemplation that takes you to allah some
[53:21]people close their brains and that's it you just pray and worship
[53:24]okay that's still good God still gives him a reward that's fine
[53:30]however is there a big reward to that no so the angel
[53:33]realized why the status of this man is so small in the
[53:37]eyes of Allah subhana wa ta'ala and he left so the Imam
[53:40]alehissalaam is actually teaching this person he's like look don't come and
[53:44]tell me oh this person praised so much this person does that
[53:50]so much today we've got people who are following Isis right these
[53:55]terrorists they pray they read the Quran but what are they doing
[53:59]what are their actions showing their actions are revealing they have no
[54:06]true faith in God it's superficial they claim to be worshipping God
[54:09]but they're not really worshipping because if you don't sit and contemplate
[54:12]why am I doing this these people I'm killing are they innocent
[54:16]or not they don't question themselves they're just brainwashed they're told go
[54:20]and kill them they go and kill Allah will hold them responsible
[54:23]look why didn't you question yourself where in my Quran in my
[54:30]Hadees did I say go kill innocent people get on a truck
[54:33]and just you know drive over people run over people where did
[54:39]I say that we're in the Quran Allah on the day of
[54:44]judgement you asked him like okay show me show me where is
[54:47]that verse in the Quran that says just don't kill innocent people
[54:49]like them believe me some of these people they have not opened
[54:56]the Quran to read it with contemplation not once in their lifetime
[54:59]not once they don't even know what Hadees do we have just
[55:02]like parrots they accept what they've been told they'll be held responsible
[55:07]so the amount of these senem is telling us that the reward
[55:11]of allah subhanaw taala is based on your intellect the level of
[55:16]your intellect so if you are on the right path doing the
[55:19]right thing like worshipping allah still will give you a reward at
[55:24]the end of the day they're worshiping it but is that really
[55:27]of high value to Allah no because God wants you to worship
[55:32]Him with mattify with a deep understanding with deep contemplation not just
[55:36]any worship but if this person is now because of this you
[55:43]know shallow mentality is now doing harm like killing people Allah will
[55:47]hold them responsible Allah will hold them responsible because God will tell
[55:51]him look why didn't you contemplate why don't you think who gave
[55:54]you that right to go and just kill people like that so
[55:58]they'll be held responsible the cottage the cottages they'll be held responsible
[56:04]for this lack of vision because they're at fault it's ignorance at
[56:09]fault you know someone opens his door from his house he goes
[56:13]out into open society he doesn't care to read what are the
[56:16]laws whatever the laws means well let me just go and do
[56:21]whatever I want and then he starts making violations and then they
[56:24]bring him to the court and he says oh I didn't know
[56:27]okay it's true that he didn't know he didn't know but why
[56:29]didn't he know because he was careless when you're careless and you
[56:36]don't know and you end up doing harm and damage Allah will
[56:38]punish you for that yes unless someone is mentally ill if someone
[56:44]is crazy mentally ill there's a deficiency in their brain that's a
[56:49]different story aslam is very clear that the one who has the
[56:53]deficiency in their brain is mentally ill okay you know there is
[56:58]no obligation on them there's no tech leave but MIT but many
[57:01]of the people many of these people know they're not mentally ill
[57:06]and they don't they don't contemplate they just simply don't contemplate Walia
[57:14]by hearing [Music]
