[5:06]their love and admiration for either the prophet jesus allah or for
[5:13]the descendant of the prophet muhammad peace be upon him and his
[5:16]family you therefore find that as many ideologies that have come forth
[5:23]and as many that have tried to destroy the belief in god
[5:28]or the belief in the revelations the reality is that until today
[5:33]jesus and muhammad continue to be the true most important figures in
[5:39]the world atheism communism many other isms that had come forward could
[5:44]not stop people in the world today from not only believing in
[5:50]them but from also at the same time awaiting the reappearance of
[5:54]either one of them or one who's related to them because when
[5:58]you look within christian literature and you look within islamic literature you'll
[6:02]find that there are plethora of traditions that show in reality that
[6:06]god's message will be completed by jesus alaihissalam alongside one of the
[6:13]great great great great grandsons of the holy prophet peace be upon
[6:18]him and his family whose name is muhammad but who is recognized
[6:25]in many circles both sunni and shia as being known as the
[6:30]mahdi when we think about the both of them the reality is
[6:33]that if you were to ask muslims and christians what is the
[6:39]common denominator between these two there will definitely be many muslims who
[6:42]will know many muslims will be able to highlight to you common
[6:45]denominators between the two similarities between the two and many will focus
[6:52]on one key point a world of justice and the removal of
[6:55]oppression because the reality is on the most basic level in all
[7:01]of us as human beings is the want of a super man
[7:05]type character if you look at many of these comics that we
[7:07]read when we were younger there was a love for that person
[7:12]who established justice in gotham or that person who established justice in
[7:16]a certain part of the city in which he grew up or
[7:19]established justice in the world or established justice on the earth when

[7:34]life by the same time how could we establish justice on this
[7:37]earth equity on this earth if you look around us today it's
[7:41]unbelievable the number of wars that are taking place on the one
[7:46]side i see ukraine and russia on another side a few years
[7:48]ago i saw syria another side i saw yemen today on the
[7:54]other side i see iraq for example and over 40 years of
[7:57]oppression when i therefore look at all of these wars there is
[8:02]within us a hope of a superman type figure a figure who
[8:07]will come and establish god's kingdom on earth god's justice on earth
[8:11]if ever you therefore look at the literature concerning jesus and concerning
[8:20]the mahdi alaihis you'll see that that literature has these words as
[8:26]common denominators a world full of oppression a world full of injustice
[8:30]will be replaced with a world of justice and equity now someone
[8:35]might turn around and say well isn't that a bit of a
[8:37]utopian type vision the reality is we can never expect say a
[8:44]billion humans seven billion humans five billion humans even if you were
[8:47]to bring the best of the best surely they will still have
[8:50]differences with one another and the reality is yes differences will be
[8:56]there but the world will be a world where there is a
[9:00]discourse of maturity and respect when it comes to difference not necessarily
[9:04]a world in which we're ready to kill each other what do
[9:08]we mean if say the world today three quarters of it is
[9:11]a world of injustice and one quarter is a world of justice
[9:16]when they reappear they seek to build the world where at least
[9:22]three quarters of it is justice and if there's gonna be any
[9:26]injustice which there's gonna be because at the end of the day
[9:28]there is a belief according to some that the mahdi will be
[9:32]killed at the end so there would have to be a sort
[9:36]of injustice or a sort of selfishness of desire but at the
[9:39]same time therefore when we come to these two the sad reality
[9:44]is that either some christians don't have a clue who the mahdi
[9:48]is or some christians will go to works of matthew and revelations
[9:51]and say that the mahdi is the antichrist tomorrow we'll look a
[9:56]bit further at the deja and the movement of jesus with the
[10:01]sword not with peace i'll examine that tomorrow but the reality is
[10:05]that when we're looking at the mahdi some people would turn around
[10:08]who are non-muslims say he's the antichrist and that needs to be
[10:12]examined as well but the reality is that if you want to
[10:14]bring dialogue between the people of the world religions judaism christianity and
[10:20]islam why do i mention judaism as well because at the end
[10:26]of the day did jesus fulfill his ministry with the jews or
[10:29]was it cut was it ended shortly many times people imagine that
[10:35]jesus's second coming is the second coming for christianity the muslims have
[10:40]something to say about this the jews have something to say about
[10:43]this the christians have something to say about this further than that
[10:47]what are the similarities between jesus and the mahdi and when they
[10:52]both reappear who occupies the higher position is it jesus allah or
[10:57]is it imam mahdi let us tonight examine in depth the second
[11:06]coming of jesus and of our imam of the mahdi and i'd
[11:10]like to do this in the following stages number one where in
[11:15]the quran is there a mention that the previous scriptures have talked
[11:19]about who will inherit this earth number two jesus how do we
[11:26]know in the quran that he is going to return and that
[11:31]people will continue to believe in him even before the day of
[11:36]judgment and how does that highlight that jesus did not die for
[11:41]us number three why did god place jesus or take him to
[11:47]the heavens and place him in occultation what were the reasons behind
[11:52]this number four which other prophets according to the bible and according
[11:58]to the quran were also raised into a heavenly abode number five
[12:02]what is the similarity then with the mahdi with prophet jesus alaihissalam
[12:07]and how are they always question marks concerning the age of the
[12:14]mahdi concerning the birth of the mahdi concerning also what is the
[12:19]benefit of the mahdi in occultation for all of us number six
[12:23]how similar was the reason that the mehdi went into occultation as
[12:27]jesus and how about those who say that your mehdi is a
[12:32]coward he had to run away from those who were about to
[12:35]attack him how do we reply back to them number seven when
[12:41]jesus returns in sunni and shia literature what does it mention in
[12:46]hadith that have reached the level of tawatur about who leads prayer
[12:51]in that time is it prophet jesus who leads prayer or is
[12:54]it imam al-mahdi who will lead the prayer and how significant is
[13:00]that for us to understand a the evolution of sharia be the
[13:04]position of an imam and see the greatness and blessings of the
[13:08]religion of islam let's examine this and dissect the topic in complete
[13:14]depth when we look within the holy quran a question may be
[13:17]asked does the quran refer us to who will inherit this earth
[13:21]there are many verses in the quran which are the verses of
[13:26]inheritance when i say inheritance i don't mean financial inheritance rather i
[13:30]mean who inherits this earth because if god chose a caliph a
[13:38]representative a vice gerund at the beginning of our stay on this
[13:42]earth then likewise at the end of our stay there has to
[13:45]be one otherwise i can turn around to my lord and say
[13:48]that you asked me to worship you in the best of ways
[13:52]where's your exemplar on the earth this earth cannot be devoid of
[13:56]a proof of god to us adam is a proof of god
[14:01]on earth nor is a proof of god on earth abraham is
[14:04]the proof of god on earth someone says how about between them
[14:09]we don't hear about 123 000 prophets no there were always prophets
[14:11]in certain areas there was always a prophet for every nation because
[14:16]sometimes people might turn around and say india where's their prophet china
[14:20]where's their prophet greece where's their prophet rome was every single nation

[15:24]after his message and likewise for us when jesus alaihis salaam was
[15:29]there there were 12 who were ready to look after his message
[15:32]and likewise for us when it comes to the prophet muhammad peace
[15:36]be upon him and his family but what you find is that
[15:38]alongside the family the other of god's hajjaj on the earth was
[15:45]the quran the quran for us is that proof of god on
[15:48]the earth that remains with us the quran tells us something that
[15:54]is described in the bible specifically in the book of psalms if
[15:57]you look in the quran in surah 21 verse 105 surat al-anbiya
[16:02]verse 105 god says we have mentioned or we have written in
[16:10]the zaboor what's zabor in english psalms we have the injeel which
[16:18]is jesus we have the torah go the prophet david alaihissalam when
[16:32]we look at the prophet david alaihissalam we see that when god
[16:37]revealed to him the zaboor it was what a set of advices
[16:42]a set of aphorisms and a set of supplications in one book
[16:47]even until today you look in the bible you go to a
[16:48]chapter called psalms and that's why whenever you see a book like
[16:53]that with the wonderful supplications that it has what do we say
[16:58]is the psalms of al muhammad sahifa because a sahiva said jadiyyah
[17:03]is one of the most stunning works of supplications if you are
[17:06]a muslim or a non-muslim and you want to learn about how
[17:11]to talk to god then the best text to read after the
[17:12]quran no doubt is one of the earliest texts of literature and
[17:17]that is the sahava said idea therefore the psalms was given to
[17:22]nabi dawud and we see the psalms in the old testament the
[17:26]quran said the quran says that it was written in the psalms
[17:40]after the reminder whether it be the torah of another revealed book
[17:45]that this earth shall be inherited by the meek by the righteous
[17:53]salihun one of the translations you'll see is that the earth will
[17:59]be inherited by the meek or the earth will be inherited by
[18:02]the righteous the quran that's a challenge it says we have written
[18:09]in the zaboor is the psalms with us today yes can i
[18:12]google the psalms of course i can if i google the psalms
[18:17]right now psalms 37 11 what does it say and the meek
[18:23]shall inherit the earth the quran says we have written in the
[18:35]psalms that this earth will be inherited by the meek by the
[18:38]writers someone says what are the meek if you look at the
[18:42]descriptions of the meek it shows that the prophets before had already
[18:46]mentioned that god's earth will be inherited by the meek who are
[18:49]the meek some say the meek are the downtrodden the meek are
[18:53]those who face years of oppression the meek are the wretched the
[19:00]meek are those in difficulty the meek are those who are oppressed
[19:02]this earth for many years the arrogant pharaohs of the time of
[19:09]moses jesus and muhammad all thought that they would inherit this earth
[19:12]the quran said in the previous scriptures we have made one thing
[19:19]clear this earth will not be inherited by kings by pharaohs no
[19:26]my servants who are the meek on this earth shall be the
[19:31]ones who inherit it where was that mentioned originally in the zaboor
[19:35]salaam told this people this earth of ours will be inherited one
[19:41]day by the people you look down at the ones you thought
[19:43]you oppressed the ones you thought that you were gonna finish try
[19:48]and think in your head benny abbas and try and thicken your
[19:52]head the romans because the reality is that the romans had felt
[19:55]they defeated jesus allah then they the jews had instigated the romans
[20:03]with the crucifixion the jews kept on pushing the pharisees and the
[20:06]seduces and the heridians and others had kept on pushing get rid
[20:10]of him this man's a threat to your kingdom don't keep him
[20:14]in why aren't you stopping him they were coming from one angle
[20:17]from the other angle the romans thought that we're going to be
[20:20]triumphant now we're going to make sure that we kill him and
[20:25]that we finish him and that we finish all those who have
[20:27]held on to him because they found it normal year after year
[20:32]to torture those who were loyal or who were missionaries for the
[20:36]path of isla so then the quran had mentioned that the bible
[20:40]had already said jesus mission is not finished the righteous shall inherit
[20:47]the earth jesus will come back and he'll inherit the earth likewise
[20:52]you'll find that when it comes to any other of the prophets
[20:56]if those prophets at a certain point may have been oppressed by
[21:02]their nations then you'll find that do not think that those nations
[21:05]have overpowered them there will be a day when those prophets from
[21:08]the line of his heart or from the line of a smile
[21:11]because who does jesus represent the line of is how and who
[21:13]does imam and many represent the lion of ism eventually they will
[21:18]be the ones who inherit the earth someone says how do you
[21:21]know jesus is going to come back and inherit the earth you
[21:26]as a muslim yes if i see in the bible the bible
[21:28]talks about the second coming the bible talks about the kingdom of
[21:33]god and how it will be established and that judgment will be
[21:36]given fairly and so on so forth how do i know from
[21:40]the quran if you were now to be asked where would you
[21:42]look in the quran to prove that jesus's mission is not over
[21:48]not easy because the last time we left the quran what did
[21:52]it say they did not kill him nor did they crucify him
[22:01]but what happened it was made to appear like that now how
[22:08]do i know that jesus is coming back what can i look
[22:11]at in the quran there are a couple of places to look
[22:15]at in the quran that highlight jesus son of mary's reappearance is
[22:18]a precursor to qiyamah and that his mission is not over what's
[22:22]the first one surah 43 verse 61 may 61.
[22:29]he is one of the signs of the day of judgment in
[22:34]surah 43 61 before that a couple of verses earlier allah says
[22:39]that we made you an example for bani israel a couple of
[22:47]verses later god says and he is also a sign of the
[22:53]hour a sign of the hour why would god say you are
[22:54]a sign of the hour if you lived even before the quran
[22:58]came is that true if you've lived even before the quran came
[23:01]why would you be known as one of the signs of the
[23:06]sa so one of the proofs that nabi isa still has a
[23:09]mission to accomplish is which one is surah 43 verse 61 but
[23:17]the even stronger one is surah 4 verse 1 5 9.
[23:26]every single one of the people of the scripture the people of
[23:32]the book will believe in him before he dies i ask you
[23:34]a question did all the people of the book believe in him
[23:39]before he died if he died let's say he died on the
[23:42]cross yes did all the people believe in him but the quran
[23:45]says on the one hand this verse highlights that the people of
[23:58]the book he has come for the jews and the christians not
[24:02]just the christians sometimes people imagine that has only come for the
[24:08]christians but his ministry with the jewish community did not end therefore
[24:11]he's going to come and make it clear that you rejected me
[24:15]as the messiah let me make clear my position that's to the
[24:17]jewish ministry but further than that there was an interesting discussion that
[24:24]once happened with hajjaj bin yusuf tatafi hajjaj bin yusuf was saying

[24:31]the person said to him which one he said this one sort
[24:34]of four verse one five nine it baffles me he said what
[24:37]do you mean it baffles you he said it says that every
[24:41]one of the people of the book before he dies will believe
[24:45]in jesus's message we'll see the path we'll see the light i
[24:49]come to behead them i don't see any of them suddenly believing
[24:55]in his message if the quran says i'm trying my hardest i
[25:02]come and behead this guy i don't see him believing he's a
[25:04]christian i come and behead the jewish guy i don't see anything
[25:09]happening i come and see in front of me right now i
[25:11]see that there where is this person i'm trying to kill this
[25:15]person and i haven't got a clue why the person doesn't believe
[25:18]and i'm looking at the quran and the quran is saying something
[25:21]to me very clearly what's the quran saying the quran is saying
[25:26]to me that the people before they die they will believe the
[25:30]reply from his companion was what the reply from his companion was
[25:34]interesting he said no that's not the meaning he said the meaning
[25:38]is that jesus will come back it will be a second coming
[25:42]of jesus son of mary when he comes back then you'll see
[25:48]the people of the book who will come towards him before he
[25:50]dies because we believe that when he dies he will die before
[25:58]imam sharif they'll come together will die imam al-mahdi will lead his
[26:01]salah and he will wrap him with a caffeine which his mother
[26:06]maryam had stitched for him and he'll bury him next to his
[26:12]mother maryam but what you find here therefore is that we as
[26:15]muslims why do we believe remind you you'll always get the odd
[26:20]muslim scholar out there who'll say jesus died i don't believe in
[26:22]jesus coming back you'll see that these academic discussions can sometimes take
[26:26]place where people come back and forth but importantly for us is
[26:30]what line this ayah surah 4 verse 159 how can that be
[26:37]the case when in his time these people didn't believe in him
[26:39]that means there's another time when he will return someone says okay
[26:43]so where is he now of course christians will say he's on
[26:45]the right hand of god which baffles me even more about the
[26:50]trinity because if he's on the right hand of god if i
[26:53]take it literally then i'm thinking hold on but you are god
[26:56]but you came down the human flesh but you are now a
[27:01]spirit but you're next to god on the right hand i'm still
[27:02]baffled with that one one day inshallah god will inspire me or
[27:06]the holy spirit will inspire me to understand the trinity that's on
[27:09]the one hand on the other hand maybe the right hand of
[27:13]god means authority and power where you can subdue your enemies because
[27:16]you are you know how you say you're the possessor of the
[27:18]right hand you're the one who right hand indicates ownership as we
[27:23]have an islamic law and so on and so forth for us
[27:25]we ask the question and people ask where is jesus for us

[28:44]when god puts you in a state of occultation that state of
[28:49]occultation is because the oppressors of the time have tried to overpower
[28:52]you have tried to destroy you when a person asks why did
[28:57]god take jesus and not just cause him to die it can
[28:59]be from different angles one angle is what one angle is that
[29:03]these members of the jewish community thought that who's gonna stop us
[29:09]when we kill the prophets of god the quran and the bible
[29:14]mention how the jews used to kill the prophets of god and
[29:17]so they reached that level of arrogance where they thought that we
[29:22]can kill the prophets of god as we wish no one will
[29:25]get in our way god showed them that you think that i
[29:28]keep sending prophets and you keep poisoning them i keep sending prophets
[29:34]and you keep beheading them you think that you can get away
[29:39]with this and that there is nothing that'll get in your way
[29:42]no on the country i will send prophets after prophet after prophet
[29:45]and you've poisoned one you've killed another you've poisoned one you've killed
[29:50]another and these are my signs on the earth therefore i will
[29:55]not allow you to do the same with jesus they were certain
[29:59]because the quran says we are the ones who killed the messiah
[30:05]jesus son of mary allah it was a response to the arrogant
[30:19]pharaohs of his time that these people thought one after the other
[30:26]from these descendants of abraham will kill one after the other nothing
[30:29]will get in our way question is a coward was jesus a

[35:26]the message that unfortunately went towards la now that's on the one
[35:31]hand so we see that jesus it comes then to imam al-mahdi

[44:17]look at father in the shah of sahih al-bukhari one of the
[44:20]commentaries i think barak's commentary you'll see within their says and the
[44:24]hadith about the mahdi leading jesus in salah has reached their level

[47:15]had a man who grew up seeing a roman empire that used
[47:20]to torture the people who loved god or used to burn down
[47:22]temples or used to put people on crosses on the other hand
[47:27]the other man had to grow up in an environment where his
[47:30]ancestors one by one he had to hear either stories of them
[47:37]being killed or he had to hear about the way that they
[47:40]were poisoned what world is that when they reappear our aim is
[47:45]what our aim is that they come back with a message and
[47:50]that message is a message that stands up against all forms of
[47:55]injustice yes all forms of injustice that exist in the world the
[47:58]aim is for them to stand up because for imam what was
[48:04]his life what is samara far far from all of the cities
[48:10]of al muhammad samara is not near mecca is not near medina
[48:15]samara is far away from the land of kufa it's far away
[48:20]from the land even of qaav main samara is far and he
[48:23]had to grow up an environment of house arrest for his family
[48:26]an environment of difficulty an environment where truly the same way allah
[48:33]plotted to make sure that the people of his time could not
[48:36]kill jesus likewise allah had to make sure that those abbasids were
[48:43]not able to do to the mahdi what they done to imam
[48:45]al-askari or what they did both of them years of oppression years
[48:55]of torture they couldn't breathe properly living in samara their families many

[50:33]amongst the companions of imam sahib zaman forgive me forgive me o
[50:41]imam for reciting the following lines about your grandfather not just your
[50:47]grandfather imam alhadi but your grandfather abdullah in the final moments of
[50:52]the life of imam alhadi one of the narrators mentions he asked
[50:57]take me out take me out onto the outside of the house
[51:02]and they said to him imam it's very hot outside and you're
[51:08]in your moment of difficulty he said take me out to the
[51:15]outside of the house and they laid him there on the outside
[51:18]with the son of samara burning his face when he stood there
[51:25]when he was near the floor the narrations mentioned that the tears
[51:30]began to come down from his eyes they wondered they wondered why
[51:38]did the imam want to be outside in the sun when he
[51:40]could have been in the shade all of you all of you
[51:45]at home know what his answer is he said i wanted it
[51:52]for a few moments to feel what about in love felt when
[51:58]his body lay on the earth of caramella for a few moments
[52:03]i wanted the sun i wanted the sun to burn me the
[52:09]way the sun burned the body of him yes you were thirsty
[52:15]the poison affected you like your father imam al-jawad you were all
