[0:09]wa sallahu ala sayidina muhammadin wa ala nabina PAH hearing along salli
[0:16]ala muhammad wanted for a job respected brothers and sisters assalamualaikum warahmatullahi
[0:22]wabarakatuh i sincerely welcome you to our second year of natural balada
[0:33]the path of eloquence this amazing compilation of these sermons letters and
[0:39]Maxim's of the commander of the faithful I leave Napa Valley Valley
[0:46]Salaam last year we examined sermon number one which spoke about the
[0:51]creation of allah subhanaw taala the attributes of god the creation of
[0:56]the universe we also examined how the imam mahdi salaam gives us
[1:02]a scientific understanding of what happened when god created space we examined
[1:07]the creation of the angels prophets how Adam was created how his
[1:12]progeny multiplied that's something that we examined in sermon number one then
[1:20]we examined sermon number three which is the ship chipiya sermon it's
[1:24]a very important sermon in which the imam mahdi said i'm highlighted
[1:28]the injustice is that he witnessed after the departure of the prophet
[1:33]sallallahu alayhi wa he spoke of the people of german and the
[1:37]fitna the chaos that they caused than the battle of Safina then
[1:45]the whole incident that happened with the Huaraz this was as Shiksha
[1:50]pious sermon this year we will examine the fourth sermon in agile
[1:57]bonaga we do have a book for this class it's the same
[1:59]book from last year for those who do have the book from
[2:03]last year in Angela Baraka volume number one it has the Arabic
[2:06]text along with the English translation and we also have a commentary
[2:11]in it as well if you do not have the book simply
[2:15]email us with your address and we will ship the book to
[2:19]you at Sharla or you can come here to the Institute and
[2:21]pick up the book so we will examine sermon number four now
[2:28]in this version of the book that you have because we have
[2:30]two versions and they're slightly different in this version that you have
[2:33]what chat what page is it on 109 so sermon number four
[2:39]starts on page 109 you might have a slightly different version that
[2:43]you could be using just go to sermon number four to follow
[2:48]with this amazing sermon by mama leave nebula bodies set up what's
[2:52]really amazing about Nigel Bharata is that the Imam delivers us amazing
[2:58]content in eloquence that's mesmerizing for those who do not speak the
[3:05]arabic language or you're not fluent in Arabic we will try to
[3:11]examine some literary forms and tools that the Imam RA salam employs
[3:16]an angel' bonaga in this first sermon the amana name is salam
[3:21]basically makes this fundamental point that the Atlin Beit peace be upon
[3:26]them are the vehicles for guidance the mannalie Salam starts the sermon
[3:38]by stating been a today Tom for Val MA imagine these words
[3:41]being spoken by imam ali IBN ABI talib al salam let's try
[3:47]to dissect the words of the imam to appreciate the eloquence in
[3:51]his words so the imam ali salam says Benna through us the
[3:56]idol bait today item for Val ma through a sterile bait you
[4:12]were guided in voluma what does well Matt mean darkness now notice
[4:18]that the Imam uses the word voluma he doesn't say Vollmer one
[4:23]man's darkness in Arabic what's the difference between voluma and volumen Valmer
[4:29]comes on the weight of allah in arabic usually it describes a
[4:39]feminine object some examples if I want to say this pen for
[4:45]example is black what would I say in Arabic s what if
[4:52]my subject is masculine but if my subject is feminine what do
[4:56]I say in Arabic so that you use the form fala omar
[5:02]means what for those who know Arabic red now I'm out is
[5:08]that masculine or feminine miss masculine if you want to make it
[5:14]feminine hamrod so voila mahir is coming on this form what is
[5:18]the Imam describing Valmer is a night that's dark Leila Tom voluma
[5:24]it's assumed in the speech of the Imam that's how Arabic eloquence
[5:30]works the Imam Mahdi's Salam is giving vivid examples to those people
[5:34]especially who lived in the deserts of Arabia have you seen the
[5:37]darkness of the night how dark it is the Imam says through
[5:42]us the idol bait you were guided in the dark night fillet
[5:45]lots of Velma it's just fascinating the word choice of the imam
[5:49]ali salam he's not just saying any darkness a night that is
[5:56]dark now Laila and Arabic is feminine linguistically it's a feminine word
[6:01]because in Arabic you have masculine words and you have feminine words
[6:04]been at a datum for Velma so the Imam Hani Salaam is
[6:10]saying that Allah delivered guidance to humanity through us the al-bayt question
[6:17]here is this an extreme statement to say some Muslims might find
[6:21]this troubling they say we appreciate the animal bait they do have
[6:25]an amazing role but for you to say that God guided all
[6:30]of humanity and all of Muslims through the annual debates that's a
[6:35]pretty extreme statement to make there so as the Imam exaggerating when
[6:38]he says that what is the position of the Quran and the
[6:41]Prophet sallallaahu honor you are let's examine two quick hadith that verify
[6:48]their little bait are only the source of guidance so you're familiar
[6:54]with hadith ethical a North Apennine what does the prophet sallallaahu anybody
[6:59]say in Sunni hadith and in Shia hadith meaning in Sunni sources
[7:02]and Shia sources what does he say in hadith ethically I leave
[7:05]behind me two heavy things the Book of Allah and what my
[7:13]companions know my teachings only my son de as some had tried
[7:17]to fabricate know my anal bait y a-t-il MIT so in reality
[7:23]the Prophet is confirming that you can only be guided through the
[7:26]Quran and the a little bit so if Imam Ali bin Abi
[7:31]Talib Ali Salim says Allah guided you people through us the Annan
[7:34]bait you found your way out of darkness through us is that
[7:39]an exaggeration or that's just a confirmation of what the Prophet said
[7:41]that's one example another hadith is called the hadith of Safina which
[7:50]a number of Sunni scholars have narrated the hadith of the arc
[7:55]and Hakeem and nisab URI for instance he's a prominent Sunni scholar
[7:59]he narrates this hadith in this hadith the Prophet sallallaahu are you
[8:04]Alan what does he say he says the likeness of my family
[8:12]there he'll bait is like the Ark of nu-metal Allah beatific on
[8:18]casts affinity no manaaki Baha Nadja the one who boards this ship
[8:28]who's on the ship rides the ship will be saved woman to
[8:30]holophonor and the one who does not go on the ship what
[8:34]happens to him they drown they deviate and they drown in reality
[8:40]the profit in this hadith is saying what he's saying that the
[8:43]only path to guidance as my eyelid Beit peace be upon them
[8:45]so this is no exaggeration from Imam Ali when he thought about
[8:51]his Sunnah yes you will find a hadith that is usually cited
[8:54]we find some Muslims citing this hadith what is this hadith state
[9:02]as happy can you June the I am today Tom a today
[9:07]Tom supposedly the Prophet said my companions are like stars any one
[9:13]of them you take you'll be guided this is a false hadith
[9:15]my dear brothers and sisters in fact suddenly scholars Sunday scholars have
[9:20]demonstrated how this hadith is false not just Shia scholars the Prophet
[9:25]never makes such a statement how do we know that not not
[9:30]just the fact that the chain of the hadith is a fabricated
[9:33]chain it's a week chain the content of this hadith directly contradicts
[9:38]the holy quran why does it guide why does it contradict the
[9:47]Quran well it should be one path but the argument could be
[9:50]that all the companions take you to that path that could be
[9:53]the argument exactly the Quran is very clear that you have two
[9:59]types of companions some will who are hypocrites they were enemies of
[10:03]the Prophet some who want to dunya some who disobeyed the Prophet
[10:07]they angered Allah they fell back on their heels and some were
[10:14]good when the corrals position is very clear that you have two
[10:18]types of companions how how is it logically possible that the Prophet
[10:22]says follow any companion and they'll guide you that's impossible that in
[10:26]itself is a hadith that violates the spirit of the Quran and
[10:30]it clearly contradicts the Quran so Allah subhana WA Ta'ala saved this
[10:35]ummah through the elevate because they were the only ones qualified to
[10:39]give you pure guidance they were infallible we can trust that they
[10:44]never made a mistake that's not something that applies to any of
[10:48]the other companions and number two they inherited the knowledge of the
[10:51]Prophet sallallahu alayhi wa with these two qualities they were fit to
[10:57]lead if you want the source of guidance go to them go
[11:00]to their teachings yes other companions did have some knowledge here and
[11:04]there but they never represented the full truth only the island big
[11:11]peace be upon them represented the full truth so the Imam RA
[11:14]Salaam is saying through us Allah guided you let's look at the
[11:19]next statement in the next statement the Imam says what SNM Tom
[11:28]Virata Illya what S&M tome Virata alia the word to send them
[11:37]has a very interesting word in Arabic it comes from sanam in
[11:44]Liban anyone knows what's enamel able is yes the hump of the
[11:49]camel that highest point of the camel where people would ride this
[11:57]is called sanam and even in Arabic if you want to give
[12:01]the expression that someone is riding high he's going somewhere high he's
[12:05]ascending he's elevating you would say to cinema he's going high he's
[12:12]ascending what's a sanam toh veradale wa l-awliya and through us you
[12:26]basically secured a high position alia is on the same weight of
[12:30]voluma realize the poetic flow in the words of imam ali voluma
[12:34]alia it's the same way now what does alia mean there are
[12:40]we have these names right some sisters their name is alia what
[12:43]is it it's a feminine name because the word is feminine what
[12:48]does it mean what does it come from which root word or
[12:50]Lu i'li when something is high you would say it's Ali so
[12:55]alia means high ranks through us the idol bait Allah elevated you
[13:00]a la Spanish Allah gave you high ranks in the third statement
[13:08]the Amara sonam says Wadena in Fez our tomb according to one
[13:13]version another version says fer to Medina infidel Tom Ana sir are
[13:22]the word infidel or F Jarrah comes from the word fragile what
[13:28]does fragile mean linguistically means to burst but the meaning that you're
[13:34]familiar with is what fed morning which part of the morning daybreak
[13:39]right dawn why is dawn called fetchin Arabic see in the past
[13:48]today we can no longer see that in the horizon in the
[13:51]past if you want to identify the time of fej you look
[13:54]at the horizon towards the east it's pitch-black darkness and then suddenly
[13:59]you see a white light spreading in the horizon horizontally spreading and
[14:05]basically it breaks that darkness it bursts into that darkness that's why
[14:11]Fedders called fragile because you have a burst of white light in
[14:16]the midst of blackness and darkness that's the original or the origin
[14:22]of the word federal so the amenities Salam says through us Allah
[14:28]delivered you to daybreak from what Anna sirhan sirhan and Arabic means
[14:34]what sir are an Arabic are those nights that are found at
[14:43]the end of the lunar month so day 28 day 29 928
[14:44]9 20 28 29 and 30 those last 3 nights are called
[14:51]Sarah and Arabic what's unique about these three nights in terms of
[14:57]visibility there's no moon so when do you find the darkest nights
[15:01]out of the month and those nights because now in the middle
[15:07]of them balloon or month you have the full moon towards the
[15:10]end of the month where you are about to start a new
[15:15]moon you know have at night that light that's coming from the
[15:18]moon so these are the darkest nights now people who lived in
[15:24]the deserts they knew this today you probably don't even know which
[15:28]part of the month are you because that's not we have artificial
[15:31]light we have city light but in the past people would know
[15:37]this so the amount is telling them that this night this heavy
[15:40]night of darkness ended through us the added weight Allah gave you
[15:44]the dawn so just imagine the poetic flow of the of the
[15:52]Imam Ali Sarah Bonita datums of Alma what's a sanam to murattal
[15:57]alia verbena infidel - - Sarah it's just people when they would
[16:02]hear that it would be mesmerised by the eloquence of Amir al-mumineen
[16:06]Allah's Salam so the Imam alehissalaam basically in this hadith is saying
[16:13]people were in jahiliyyah in utter darkness worshipping idols having no morality
[16:18]through us the idol bait starting with the Prophet SAW Allah Allahu
[16:21]Allah Allah delivered you the light of guidance Allah subhana WA Ta'ala
[16:26]took you to the highest peaks look at the Arabs when the
[16:31]prophet sallallaahu allahu ala delivered islam to them they were a bunch
[16:35]of nomads fighting one another away from the centres of learning and
[16:38]civilization no one even took them seriously the Persians were not interested
[16:44]in them the Romans were not interested in them within 20 years
[16:49]they became their own civilization imam ali says how did that happen
[16:53]who gave islam its rights it's us the enovate it's the prophet
[16:58]and he mammalian is alive through their sacrifices so the Imam kept
[17:02]reminding the people because the people would actually forget that then let's
[17:08]go to the second part of the speech of the Imam Mahdi
[17:12]Sarah the Imam Hani Salaam here in the second part of his
[17:20]speech he says water is Eman let me F the hell waria
[17:23]look at the word whatever what does the word Walker I mean
[17:32]what we are than him Walker as the Quran States Walker in
[17:35]Arabic is that heaviness in your hearing if you cannot hear or
[17:41]you have trouble hearing it's called what it's heaviness in your hearing
[17:45]you cannot hear properly either the person is deaf or almost deaf
[17:51]walk there are some on let me Afghan why Maya is a
[17:58]loud call a very loud call in Arabic we call it why
[18:01]because it awakens you it draws your attention now if someone cannot
[18:06]hear a loud call what would you say about their hearing they're
[18:12]deaf or they're almost deaf the imam Hani Salaam says look at
[18:16]the path of guidance Allah clearly appointed and invade to lead this
[18:21]Ummah but people are deaf to that they cannot hear that they've
[18:29]abandoned their relationship towards the anti debate they've abandoned the truth now
[18:35]someone could object to the imam ali salam and say well why
[18:43]why are people abandoning you maybe you are leaving ambut a label
[18:48]you are ineffective in your methods and so so many people abandon
[18:52]you until today there are historians who blame the civil wars on
[18:55]imam ali imam ali was an ineffective leader he did not know
[19:01]how to unite people as we examined last year in the Shiksha
[19:03]pious sermon we we examined the chaos that happened in the Muslim
[19:07]Ummah the thousands of people that were killed there are historians until
[19:10]today who blame him I might even have you thought yes he
[19:13]was a good man he was knowledgeable he was sincere but he
[19:18]did not know how to rule he caused all this mess or
[19:21]he allowed it to happen so the Imam is saying you people
[19:25]are deaf to the truth so someone could object him well maybe
[19:28]you're not doing enough to show us the truth maybe you're not
[19:31]such an effective leader the Imam has an answer for that in
[19:35]the next statement the Imam Mahdi's Salaam states ka you are a
[19:39]neighbor men are some Metro sigh huh beautiful description by the Imam
[19:46]never in Arabic is a low sound a sound that's very low
[19:53]you can barely hear it you really have to concentrate it's like
[19:58]a whisper the Imam Hani Salaam says the one who cannot hear
[20:04]the whisper let's examine why the Imam Ali Saddam says that person
[20:11]who's deaf who cannot hear the whisper can he hear the bigger
[20:17]call the loud call no ka your are in mm and Assam
[20:20]Metro sigh huh they map says if you're deaf and you can't
[20:24]hear a loud call are you expected to hear the whisper it's
[20:28]a given that you're not going to hear the whisper these people
[20:32]they cannot hear the loud truth you expect them to hear my
[20:35]words what is them I'm saying here exactly the Imam is saying
[20:44]we have Quran and we have the Prophet did people follow the
[20:47]Quran and the Prophet is there a call louder than the Quran
[20:50]louder than the Prophet see what the people did to the Quran
[20:54]see what the people did to the Prophet they disobeyed him they
[20:57]caused trouble in his life and he was there and he spoke
[21:02]to them so why do you expect people to follow me and
[21:07]to hear my words when they've abandoned the Holy Quran look at
[21:10]the Quran and how it rebukes the Companions examine the Quran and
[21:15]see how the Quran talks about those people whose hearts are deaf
[21:19]they can't understood the work they can't understand the word of the
[21:23]Quran in fact the Quran says there's a disease in their hearts
[21:26]and when they would hear the verses of the Quran Allah subhana
[21:32]WA Ta'ala would even increase them in their disease yes one of
[21:38]the amazing powers and effects of the Quran is that if you're
[21:42]sincere and you open your heart to the Quran Allah will increase
[21:47]you in guidance but if there's a disease in your heart that
[21:50]you're not willing to treat hearing the Quran takes you further away
[21:53]from Allah spano time sometimes the prophets of Allah Allahu Allah would
[21:57]recite verses of the Quran there was a segment in his community
[21:59]they would be pushed away further from the path of Allah now
[22:05]isn't the Quran a path of guidance a book of guidance why
[22:08]does that happen why does that happen any ideas how does the
[22:18]Quran make some people deviate when it's the book of guidance yeah
[22:31]their hearts are closed but but why does it push them further
[22:35]away from the truth so they take the negative aspects of the
[22:51]Quran which they think is negative of course the Quran doesn't have
[22:56]any negative aspects that's one perspective yes some people have a problem
[23:08]with the truth so when they hear the truth they get pushed
[23:13]away further the Quran gives you the truth without sugarcoating it as
[23:17]it is some people find that troubling so when they hear verses
[23:23]of the Quran instead of being guided they get pushed further away
[23:26]because the truth is given to them and it's better for them
[23:31]they don't like it had they not heard it maybe they would
[23:33]not have been pushed away so much that's one thing that happens
[23:36]with some people who closed their hearts and the best example that
[23:42]I can give you of how the Quran can make someone deviate
[23:44]is the lamp if you on a dark night you use the
[23:50]lamp for a good cause you have good intentions there's a poor
[23:53]person in your neighborhood you use that lamp to find your way
[23:58]to their house and to give them assistance the lamp because you
[24:02]had good intentions the lamp helped you do something good but if
[24:05]that lamp falls in the hands of a thief what can they
[24:10]do with that lamp they could use that same lamp which shows
[24:16]you the way which suppose supposedly is there to guide you they
[24:19]could use that lamp to break into someone's house to harm someone
[24:23]to harass someone see it's the same lamp it depends who uses
[24:28]it it's the same Quran my dear brothers and sisters fourteen centuries
[24:31]we have the same Quran some people with good intentions they benefit
[24:35]from it and there are many evil doers in history who use
[24:38]the Quran for their evil agendas that same Quran becomes the source
[24:46]of their deviation and this happened with all religions of allah subhana
[24:51]wa ta'ala that's why if one does not approach the Quran through
[24:54]the path of the bate the Quran will push you away further
[24:58]from the truth verses of the Quran are very clear Zaid at
[25:04]home listen Alaric's am let's an Arabic spiritual Natasha we have nudges
[25:09]let's say this water there's blood in it becomes neji's we have
[25:13]rich what's rich spiritual uncleanliness the Quran says those who want he
[25:20]died and guidance when they hear the Quran when they read the
[25:25]Quran Allah increases them in his eyen guidance but those people who
[25:29]have spiritual Natasa spiritual uncleanliness they're not interested they want their ways
[25:35]they care about their desires and temptations the Quran increases them in
[25:39]that rates the Quran increases them in that impurity because it gives
[25:44]them the truth and they turn away from the truth even further
[25:47]so the amount of yourself says look don't blame me if people
[25:51]are not following my words why you think they followed the Quran
[25:54]when did they follow the Quran they obeyed the Prophet sallallaahu anyone
[25:57]in his lifetime they disobeyed him after he departed they disobeyed him
[26:01]so the Quran which is the stronger voice here people did not
[26:07]obey you want you expect them to obey me beautiful response from
[26:11]the Imam Mahdi's Sarah any questions so far then the Imam says
[26:19]yes there are hearts fixed on the truth Robitaille janan let me
[26:24]you Farah Khan Chaka Khan have you heard of the word jihad
[26:32]and jinan the word Jinan you should be familiar with what's jinan
[26:39]it's a name right we have jinan and we have jinan they're
[26:48]spelled identically the same but with Jenna and you have a Fatah
[26:56]over here which is like an A in English and then with
[26:58]Jenna you have a Kucera so Jenna means what Gardens it's the
[27:06]plural of which word Jenna jinan what does genin mean with the
[27:13]Fatah no that's Junoon we'll examine that see the beauty of the
[27:23]Arabic language is all these words are interrelated jihad means heart all
[27:29]these words they go back to the root word Jenna Jenna Jenna
[27:40]means something that's covered or concealed in Arabic that's the root word
[27:48]concealed covered now the beauty of the Arabic language is you can
[27:52]make so many words from this world word Jenna in paradise heaven
[27:56]why is it called Jenna what's being covered exactly there are gardens
[28:03]and rivers flow beneath them you've got these magnificent magnificent trees that
[28:11]cover that act as a canopy there they cover everything so that's
[28:15]that's why from far if you would look at the gardens of
[28:18]paradise they're covered with trees that's why they're called Jenna they're being
[28:22]concealed and covered by trees okay now you have the Majnoon right
[28:27]the one who's insane what does that have to do with being
[28:34]covered or concealed what's being covered their brain their intellect well not
[28:38]their physical brain but their intellect right their sanity the Majnoon is
[28:42]the one who there is a cover on his intellect so he
[28:47]is insane okay some more we also have the word Jeannine fetus
[28:52]fetus is Janine why do we call the fetus Janine it's concealed
[28:58]in the womb of is the mother right you see all these
[29:05]words we have the ends humans we have the jinn who are
[29:07]the jinn this other creation right do we see them so they're
[29:11]concealed from us that's why they're called jinn so you have Jenna
[29:17]you have Majnoon you have Jeanine now you have a word that
[29:21]Imam Mahdi's says Jinan jinan in arabic means heart what do you
[29:25]think why do you think the heart and Arabic is related to
[29:32]the word being concealed well physically yes your heart is concealed like
[29:39]you don't see people's hearts right but more than that exactly you
[29:43]don't know their intentions and feelings one reason why the hearts in
[29:47]Arabic is called jinan is because you cannot really see the intentions
[29:52]of people their real feelings they could hide that they can conceal
[29:56]it from you so it's called jinan it all goes back to
[29:57]this root word Jenna so the word Jenna and Arabic means heart
[30:05]the imam ali synopsis Robitaille Jenna noon lamu father Cole Suffolk on
[30:14]the Amman ELISA Lam says those hearts that truly fear Allah Spano
[30:21]to Allah may they be fixed rubato is to tie something to
[30:25]fix something the Imam is actually praying for the believers who have
[30:30]this attribute of fearing allah subhanaw taala what does kapha can mean
[30:39]in arabic it means anxiety trembling but it means fear because when
[30:44]someone is in a state of fear they might tremble the amar
[30:49]says one of the qualities of the believers is that they're always
[30:52]in the state of fear let me know father qu the hearts
[31:00]of a believer is never free from fear very strong statement right
[31:04]the Imam says may Allah stabilize these hearts make these hearts firm
[31:12]they recognize the truth and they accept it question why the heart
[31:17]of a believer never is free from fear how do we understand
[31:22]that fear of God but what is fear of God mean though
[31:29]so one aspect of fear you're always thinking of the afterlife you're
[31:37]not safe with this materialistic world see for a lot of people
[31:43]they fails they feel safe with the money that they have they
[31:46]feel safe with the power that they have in the position that
[31:52]they have right now someone gives you ten million dollars would you
[31:56]feel safe you feel safe why do you feel safe why do
[32:09]you feel safe well let's say you're not in Detroit you're in
[32:15]somewhere safe see it's it's a natural human response if someone right
[32:21]now gives you ten million dollars you really feel excited obviously but
[32:25]you feel safe because you think you have something that backs you
[32:28]up something that supports you something that will give you a good
[32:34]life and that's the false Mirage of this life the man Alison
[32:37]I'm says a believer never feels safe with the money that they
[32:41]have or the position that they have because they know it's superficial
[32:44]it's gonna end it's temporary okay ten million dollars are yours right
[32:48]now then what then what can you guarantee the future how long
[32:51]will you live maybe there is a disease illness that these that
[32:57]this money cannot protect you from and with the day you die
[32:59]you have to give it up so I feel safe with it
[33:02]because the minute you feel safe with it you start wasting the
[33:05]opportunity to prepare for the oxalá so the believer even though you
[33:10]may have ten million dollars but deep down in his heart there's
[33:17]that element of fear concern am i preparing for my Asura am
[33:20]i doing that which is right never feel safe arrogant people they
[33:24]feel safe with what they have in the sense that yes I
[33:28]have this power I have this position I can do whatever I
[33:30]want I feel safe with that but the true believer has that
[33:35]elements of fear yes yes the servants of Allah the Quran says
[33:47]there's no fear or sadness surrounding them they have no sorrow no
[33:54]fear what is that fear that's being negated from the Friends of
[33:58]Allah Allah Allah which kind of fear first of all the fear
[34:01]at the moment of death the minute they die Allah is telling
[34:06]them you're in safe hands the minute you die as a believer
[34:11]have no fear have no sadness Allah will show you the result
[34:17]of your actions so this is mainly applicable to the moment of
[34:19]death yes there are their death there are butter sack they have
[34:24]nothing to fear that's number one number two our last teaching the
[34:28]believers being with me on my side and don't have any concerns
[34:31]you will not fail so fear no one but allah subhanaw taala
[34:37]the awliya of allah subhanho to anna once they know they're in
[34:40]God's camp they have no fear even if the world turns against
[34:43]them so what let it be that's why I'm am saying honey
[34:47]Sarah even though he was outnumbered and overpowered physically but the narrators
[34:52]they described his state in fact the narrator uses the word jinan
[34:57]he says the narrator I think it's Hamidah been Muslim one of
[35:02]the observers at karemera he says never in my life have I
[35:07]seen someone who's lost his family members and he's outnumbered by his
[35:11]enemies but he has such a firm heart on a bottle janan
[35:16]or estimate to Jannah and fixed in his heart than her sainted
[35:19]Nadi he had no fear on the day of ashura the Companions
[35:22]of the Imam had no fear well why you're outnumbered because you
[35:27]know you were here with allah subhanho wa taala so that's another
[35:31]reason why awliya allah they should not have any sorrow because you
[35:34]need to do business with God God never lets you down Allah
[35:37]takes care of you so that's one element of fear don't feel
[35:41]safe with this world number two don't feel safe with your status
[35:44]never feel content with what you've achieved some people if they observe
[35:51]their prayers they may have given some donations and charity ok hamdulillah
[35:56]I'm done in this life I've done what I have to do
[35:58]I feel safe I am now a believer mashallah and if he
[36:02]praises the midnight prayer that night tell us he considers himself the
[36:05]top of the top never feel safe with your status how do
[36:10]you know unless going to accept your deeds how do you know
[36:12]you're not going to commit a sin that's going to destroy your
[36:16]deeds see the true believers they have that concern they never feel
[36:20]safe when their stabs like it's never enough I still should do
[36:24]more they never reach a point like ok I'm good enough now
[36:29]that's that's really a concern that they have that's the second dimension
[36:33]of fear the third dimension of the fear and the hearts of
[36:36]the believers it actually reflects their love for allah subhanho wa taala
[36:41]you cannot have genuine love without fear if you really love someone
[36:45]what do you fear well losing them disappointing them hurting them true
[36:53]believers always fear losing their status with God they always fear disappointing
[37:00]allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala that's one fear that they constantly have so it's
[37:06]not the fear of God because you're afraid God is this being
[37:12]who's gonna hurt you know that's not the object of their fear
[37:16]and finally the glory of Allah subhana WA Ta'ala the amazing position
[37:20]and glory of God just knowing that he's the king of the
[37:23]universe that in itself inspires fear in their hearts because fear is
[37:30]an indication of seriousness you can never take something seriously without an
[37:33]element of fear have you seen people who go to their interview
[37:38]like they've been waiting for you know months for that interview or
[37:42]sometimes even years the day of their interview they're anxious why are
[37:48]they anxious yeah there's that fear of failing but they take it
[37:55]seriously it's such a it's such a valuable meaning they take it
[37:58]seriously anxiety of course to a normal extent sometimes it gets excessive
[38:04]so a normal extent is a good thing it's an it's an
[38:07]indication of seriousness that's why we the important events you have some
[38:10]anxiety even if it's an exciting event like a wedding have you
[38:15]have you seen people they kind of get anxious when their wedding
[38:18]date comes well why because they take it seriously they know it's
[38:20]an important event now imagine if you have a friend today is
[38:26]his interview or his final examination all those years of studies they
[38:30]depend on this exam if you see him waking up in the
[38:37]morning late he's laughing he's partying right and then and the interview
[38:42]is like an hour away he's in a different world what would
[38:45]you say about a person like that like this person is not
[38:51]acting serious an important event is ahead of him and look at
[38:54]him he's in a different mood because he's not showing any seriousness
[38:58]so this fear that the Imam Ali Saddam is referring to and
[39:04]in the hearts of the believers it's actually a type of fear
[39:08]that indicates seriousness the Imam says those people may Allah strengthen their
[39:12]hearts because when they hear the truth they really accept it let's
[39:21]draw some lessons from these words of Imam I'll even have you
[39:25]thought about a sinner first of all thank Allah for being guided
[39:28]never think that I was guided because you know I am the
[39:34]one who actually made this accomplishment or achievement it all goes back
[39:40]to me the tools that you used to achieve guidance is from
[39:44]Allah subhana WA Ta'ala so in reality he put you on that
[39:48]path of guidance always thank Allah subhana wa ta'ala yes you make
[39:52]the effort but in the end he delivers guidance to you and
[39:54]know that he used the added bait to guide you without the
[39:59]added bait we could not have been guided that's a reality is
[40:06]it fair that Allah guides some people and not others well God
[40:14]doesn't randomly choose to guide whomever he wants the intention has to
[40:18]come from your heart when Allah sees your heart is worthy of
[40:21]being guided because you have a good intention because you've done something
[40:24]good in your life Allah will guide you but when a last
[40:29]year is this heart is not a heart that really wants guidance
[40:32]it's a heart that's more concerned about selfish desires this person may
[40:37]not be guided so there is something in you that Allah finds
[40:39]worthy that he gives you guidance well this is of course a
[40:49]very lengthy discussion but Allah wants to give every person a chance
[40:51]you deserve that chance and Allah subhana WA Ta'ala I gave you
[40:58]the tools to save yourself yes he knew this person will not
[41:01]save himself but the system is a rational system let's say you
[41:07]were the principal of a school right you're the principal of a
[41:10]school and you know that every year your students will graduate you
[41:14]know 5% definitely will fail you know that for sure would you
[41:21]still make this school why you know some people will fail see
[41:25]the overall system is a Y system now those who failed nobody
[41:30]imposed on them failure you try to help them you brought private
[41:35]tutors for them they don't care they're not interested that's their fault
[41:38]but a lack gave them the opportunity it's that opportunity that counts
[41:43]had a lot denied them the opportunity then people would have objected
[41:48]to Allah subhanAllah you didn't give everyone an equal opportunity yes brother
[41:54]are we good with the recording okay and shall we're good you
[41:59]feel free to leave in shop so thank allah subhanho to Allah
[42:04]for guidance and know that staying away from the elevators darkness no
[42:10]their teachings take their teachings mimic their behavior make a debate part
[42:16]of your life because they're the only path of guidance after the
[42:21]prophet sallallaahu on another takeaway point from the words of the imam
[42:25]mahdi salaam always be open to the truth always be open to
[42:30]the truth yes you might think you're on the right path or
[42:33]your ways are proper ways or correct ways always be open to
[42:41]hearing the truth I tell you from my personal experience from you
[42:44]know people who for instance come for counseling or they're struggling you
[42:50]find that many times there is someone in the family someone in
[42:54]their lives who's not open to the truth even with very simple
[43:00]things even with you know a parents who are not such successful
[43:03]parents and someone talks to them and tells them look this is
[43:09]not the best way to raise your children try other ways no
[43:12]they're stubborn they only are stuck on that way for some people
[43:15]for instance with music or with the head job I remember one
[43:19]person told me that those around them insisted that all types of
[43:23]music is halal and it's moral and it's fine and that you're
[43:27]being an extreme person you're being a boring person for not listening
[43:31]to music and this was always a source of friction in the
[43:34]family see they're not open tell us they believe that this is
[43:39]right it's right they're not open to the truth well try to
[43:41]know the other argument I told this person have you tried to
[43:45]explain to them is like they don't listen the minute I try
[43:47]to explain to them why you know being addicted to music as
[43:51]bad they don't listen tell us they start making fun of me
[43:54]I you're a boring person or those who are addicted to drugs
[43:58]or they start that path of addiction they don't listen they're not
[44:01]willing to hear the truth no no you you know they'll argue
[44:03]with you this is not harmful for me trust me I've done
[44:07]my research it's not harmful and you show that one thousand studies
[44:10]that this isn't awful no no it's not harmful this is all
[44:14]made up they're not willing to hear the truth it comes in
[44:17]all dimensions of our lives the Imam Ali Saddam teaches you always
[44:21]be open to the truth hear the other side genuinely don't automatically
[44:28]prejudge everything you're being told some merit even the Quran which is
[44:33]the source of the truth tells the Prophet tell them Oh sugar
[44:36]keen maybe you're on the right path maybe we're on the right
[44:38]path can you imagine the Quran saying converse like that in other
[44:45]words the Prophet is saying let's have an objective discussion you might
[44:49]be on the right path I might be on the right path
[44:51]let's figure out which is it look at the tone of the
[44:58]Holy Quran so the Imam Ali in Salaam in this beautiful passage
[45:07]he explains why the people rejected the Alan Bates after the Prophet
[45:12]they did not find the courage to stand up to the oppressors
[45:15]or they were jealous of the position of the added bait peace
[45:21]be upon them and they allowed their hearts to be closed if
[45:23]they cannot hear the voice of the Quran you think they're going
[45:28]to hear the voice of Imam I'll even have you thought about
[45:30]he said I'm so it's a given that there will be people
[45:34]who will resist the words of Imam Mahdi then in this last
[45:37]passage which we will conclude with the Imam Ali said I'm States
[45:42]Mazel to another who become our cable head when did Imam Ali
[45:46]give this sermon historians state imam might even have you thought about
[45:49]he said i'm gave this sermon after the Battle of gemin when
[45:52]zubayr ant on how were killed this is when the imam mahdi
[45:57]salaam gave the sermon and basically the imam is saying I am
[46:02]expecting you o people to betray me I've always anticipated the consequences
[46:12]of your treachery I knew you would deceive me don't think that
[46:16]you caught me by surprise in other words he's talking about the
[46:20]followers of zubayr specifically and then huh because what happened if you
[46:24]remember from a luxurious sermon when Imam Ali bin Abi Talib was
[46:28]chosen as the Caliph and Medina zubayr I thought how they came
[46:31]and they pledged him allegiance then Imam Ali wrote a letter to
[46:37]Maui he told him look all the companions unanimously chose me as
[46:40]the Calif so you also pledged allegiance to me what did we
[46:44]do WowWee immediately instead of responding to imam ali he wrote a
[46:50]letter to zubi zubi is the cousin of imam ali he wrote
[46:52]him a letter he told him zubayr you are a great leader
[46:56]see how savvy mahalia was and how wicked he was you're a
[47:02]great leader I believe if you become the Caliph in Basra and
[47:05]Kufa this very important region you have a great future and I
[47:10]am the first one to give you baihe see how he instigated
[47:14]him against Imam Mahdi zubayr received the letter from mahalia he's like
[47:19]he started believing in himself really I really deserve this not how
[47:23]what do you think mahalia says he's pledging my allegiance and he
[47:26]thinks I'm fit for this job see how the devil sometimes plays
[47:34]when someone throws an idea you're hesitant initially but then your ego
[47:40]says yes take it take it it's good for you and that's
[47:43]what happened so zubayr said okay he came to he came to
[47:50]Imam Ali Anniston I told him give me a position appoint me
[47:51]as a governor the Imam says wait be patient be content with
[47:56]what you have I'm giving you your share from public funds like
[48:00]I give everyone else let me think about it when the time
[48:04]comes I'll see what I'll do with you so the Imam didn't
[48:05]immediately grant him the power that he wanted it's a trial to
[48:11]test from Allah SWA no time what did--what hands will be able
[48:15]do they told Imam Ali Allah's Salam we're going Ferrara this was
[48:20]their way of starting that civil war against him armani leave are
[48:26]says okay go but the Imam commented he said you know they
[48:28]want to betray me they don't want Tom like they were they
[48:31]want that treachery so they went for the Harmonized they mobilized the
[48:34]masses and then the whole battle that bus what happened the Battle
[48:37]of German and I might've never thought of says I knew this
[48:40]was all going to happen don't think I'm someone who's simple someone
[48:48]who's naive I saw all the signs of treachery Mazal to another
[48:51]will become a lockable head I see the consequences of your treachery
[48:54]well a tow a semi comb behind toreen I see the signs
[49:02]of you people being deceived by this world I can see it
[49:06]very well the signs are all there Sahib I'll even have Italian
[49:10]if you knew all of this why don't you expose them why
[49:15]don't you get up in madina and imprison that hands away and
[49:18]expose their intentions and expose the intentions of everyone why did you
[49:24]wait the Imam says Saturnian come JAL Babu Dean Jim Bob is
[49:33]garment the Imam says what stopped me from exposing you as the
[49:38]garment of religion I'm a man committed to my religion and Allah
[49:41]teaches me not to expose the prophets are a la aduana how
[49:46]many times did he stand up and expose his companions he normally
[49:50]did not do that why part of it is a trial Allah
[49:54]wants to try us but that's a lesson for every believer never
[49:57]expose others even if you know someone may not have the right
[50:01]intentions towards you don't expose them if something gets kept a secret
[50:09]don't expose it because when you expose it first of all you
[50:13]normalize that sin that negative behavior because now it's public everybody talks
[50:17]about it it becomes normal number two you further encourage that person
[50:21]to continue that negative path and negative lifestyle because when you're concealed
[50:27]there's a chance you might change right okay people don't know unless
[50:35]eternity God has concealed my negative habits but if it's exposed and
[50:38]everyone knows your friends know your family members know people in the
[50:41]community know will you change chances are you're not going to like
[50:44]what's the point now everybody knows that's why it's such a big
[50:50]crime and it's time to expose others you're all familiar with the
[50:52]story of Prophet Musa al-salaam when he left with Benny and slaw
[50:58]in in a year of severe drought asking Allah for rain now
[51:01]this is a prophet of God he raised his hands and o
[51:04]Allah send down the rain jabrai it comes to him Musa there's
[51:10]a man in your group he's an imam he spreads fitna and
[51:13]society he goes and he tells this person that your friend is
[51:15]talking behind your back and then he goes to the other person
[51:18]and he tells them the same thing he creates disunity as long
[51:23]as he's present here our last panel - Allah is not gonna
[51:26]send the rain so Moosa he got up and he said look
[51:30]I have to break it to you there's someone here who's very
[51:32]sinful and a lot informed me please get up and leave the
[51:37]gathering Allah is not gonna send the rain don't withhold the rain
[51:40]from others because of one person now that person was sitting there
[51:43]hearing he knows himself he figured should I leave Haram all these
[51:51]guys I'm gonna denied them the water children are there animals are
[51:54]there men and women are there but if I get up and
[51:58]leave everybody will know I am that sinful person I'll expose myself
[52:01]so he fell into sujood and he begged a lot to conceal
[52:04]him with tears with a broken heart he asked Allah to forgive
[52:10]him suddenly the rain clouds gather according to the hadith and the
[52:15]rain starts coming down Musa as jibra ad told him I didn't
[52:18]see anybody getting up nobody left and you said he has to
[52:23]leave Jobriath said Allah forgave him he asked a lot to conceal
[52:26]him and a lot concealed him Musa I told you bruh in
[52:30]who is he tell me jabrai I told him Musa when he
[52:33]was sinful God didn't expose him what he was sinful now that
[52:38]he repented Allah you expect a lot to expose him Allah is
[52:40]not going to expose him see the Imams of renovates even when
[52:45]their enemies but honza where they mom says I did not expose
[52:48]them I knew they were up to no good but I still
[52:52]didn't expose them see the rahman that the prophet and they are
[52:55]in beta how many hypocrite companions surrounded the Prophet did he ever
[53:02]expose them even his own wives that would put him to trouble
[53:04]Allah exposed them right but not the Prophet they conspired against him
[53:09]that the Prophet ever you have one sermon one sermon from the
[53:14]history of the Prophet where he goes in the message it on
[53:16]the pulpit he says o companions see what my wives are doing
[53:20]my first wife did this my second wife did that might never
[53:23]he never exposed any yes Allah for a reason sometimes the exposes
[53:27]certain people he exposes their plots and conspiracies but in my man
[53:35]he says my style of governance is that I don't expose people
[53:38]that's one way of understanding the statement that the garment of religion
[53:44]is what stopped me from exposing them there is a second way
[53:47]of understanding the phrase of imam ahmad yani salam and this is
[53:54]fascinating the Imam says from the outside they seemed religious people they
[53:59]acted religious they did not commit a crime yet how can i
[54:03]punish them before they commit a crime they took advantage of the
[54:07]garment of religion and that's why I did not punish them look
[54:15]at the justice of Imam Ali much ruler which ruler does that
[54:18]in history you know someone is plotting against you but they haven't
[54:21]done anything yet but you know they're plotting right now today if
[54:25]any country of any government if any King if any ruler he
[54:28]knows someone's plotting against him what do they do kill him execute
[54:33]him Jhelum Imam Ali would never do that you still haven't done
[54:37]the crime I know your bad intentions but you still haven't committed
[54:41]the crime from the outside you're still looking religious like dull hands
[54:48]obey hey mom says that's why I did not seek revenge from
[54:51]them because some people would tell aluminum you thought of you're a
[54:54]failure if you knew these people were bad execute them before they
[54:57]even start all of this the mom says no I don't have
[54:59]permission from God to do that they have not committed the crime
[55:02]yet I can't punish them yet now how did the Imam Ali
[55:07]said I'm known that these people are going to betray man we
[55:12]end we end with this point how did he know of course
[55:14]the Imams have divine knowledge the Prophet had already told him but
[55:18]there's more to it than that it's something that's applicable to all
[55:22]of us wobba Sarah any company what gave me the inner light
[55:31]the Becerra to see your treachery is my sincere intention the amount
[55:36]of teaching you when you're sincere in your intention Allah shows you
[55:41]the reality of what's happening around you we have a number of
[55:46]hadiths about this for instance the Quran says even before the hadith
[55:50]the Quran says in Tet top ilaha if you have true piety
[55:58]ya alikoum for canon in this hadith if you truly have part
[56:03]priety Allah will give you for God what's for Khan they divided
[56:09]between good and bad the good and right alas good and evil
[56:15]righteousness and the path of evil Allah will give you that light
[56:19]to decipher between the two you will see the reality of things
[56:26]and another hadith an imam or Avari salaam was asked how do
[56:28]you the imams of any debate know what's in the hearts of
[56:30]people how do you know that because sometimes the Imams would really
[56:35]read the intentions of those people around them and they'd surprise them
