[1:21]Prophet Muhammad s congratulations to each and every one of you my

[1:27]dear brothers sisters on the occasion and remembering and celebrating the birth

[1:33]of IM Hassan may Allah subhana wa taala grant us all inshallah

[1:39]the intercession of IM Hassan and may you all be blessed inshallah

[1:44]with this intercession and the visitation of the grave in S without

[1:51]a doubt remains an issue of controversy and one may argue it

[1:57]is one of the main points of the Shia Sunni divice the

[2:01]appointment the announcement the choosing of a leader to succeed is known

[2:09]to be the base of the Divide between the Shia and the

[2:14]Sunni for the Shia things are very clear crystal clear in fact

[2:17]if you ask me as a sh who is the leader after

[2:21]who you follow as the IM I will say im clear as

[2:27]day if you ask me how clear was this I say was

[2:32]very clear amongst a number of statements for me the main incident

[2:35]was the incident of GAD however if you ask any of the

[2:41]Sunni World about the appointment or the announcement or the election or

[2:47]the choosing of the first Calif they'll give you different answers concerning

[2:53]Abu bakr's leadership some will tell you that he was chosen an

[2:58]election others will tell you that he was implicitly chosen others will

[3:02]tell you that he was explicitly chosen others will tell you that

[3:07]there are verses of the Holy Quran that were revealed about him

[3:12]in the Sunni world no one can give you a definitive answer

[3:19]in relation to the method of the appointment of abak the first

[3:25]Khalifa if we play the first clip you'll see that himself makes

[3:31]this clear that in the whole 14400 year history of the Sunni

[3:35]World they could not reach a conclusion as to how the first

[3:43]Khalifa came to leadership please play the first clip how was Abu

[3:47]bakar sik chosen what was the methodology of his choosing uh there

[3:51]are three uh opinions if you like about this issue within Sunni

[3:57]Islam the first of them is that uh the sahabah among themselves

[4:00]decided to choose Abu bakik there's nothing from the prophet sallallahu alaihi

[4:05]wasallam whatsoever and this some have said this is the majority opinion

[4:09]uh IB T also seems to some in some writings lean to

[4:14]this opinion that the sahabah amongst themselves thought and talked and then

[4:17]they chose Abu Bakr the second opinion and this is narrated from

[4:22]alassan Alas and others is that the prophet sallallah alaihi wasallam indirectly

[4:28]indicated that Abu Bakr should be the Khalifa indect directly indicated not

[4:33]directly and neither was there nothing which is the first opinion and

[4:36]uh well let me be precise the first opinion does not say

[4:40]there was nothing the first opinion says no doubt the prophet said

[4:45]that Abu Bakr was the best in terms of his F in

[4:49]terms of his status but the first opinion would say the prophet

[4:52]did not indicate who should be the political leader after him right

[4:56]all of Sunni Islam agrees that Abu Bak is the best amongst

[5:02]all of the sah right so the difference comes how was he

[5:05]chosen to be Theif some group will say the sahabah realized he

[5:11]was the best so they chose him to be the Khalifa the

[5:13]second opinion says the prophet Sall subtly indicated that he should be

[5:19]Theif and and others indic held this position that there's nothing explicit

[5:27]but neither is it neutral rather there's hints ISAT that Abu Bak

[5:33]should be the khif and the third opinion is what's left now

[5:39]the prophet clearly said and this opinion has also been hinted at

[5:45]by some of the early authorities and it is also the position

[5:48]of the famous Andalusian scholar IB haam IB haam said that the

[5:52]prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam explicitly commanded the sahab it's a command right

[5:58]and this is an exact contradistinction to the sh uh theology which

[6:03]is that he commanded Ali to be Theif that's the sh theology

[6:08]honestly I respect the truthfulness of she Yas I must be clear

[6:12]that she Yas makes clear that in 1400 years of the history

[6:20]of Sunni Islam they could not come to an agreement as to

[6:25]whether Abu Bakr was chosen appointed announced by by the heavens by

[6:32]the prophet or by his fellow companions if you look at Sunni

[6:41]Islam today they'll all say that Abu Bakr is the first Khalifa

[6:44]no one can deny this historically but how exactly did he come

[6:50]into power did he come into power because a group of the

[6:53]companions came together and chose him so now we have what's known

[7:00]as an election that takes place where literally if you're in the

[7:05]right place the right time the right oratory the right Charisma then

[7:10]you're able to persuade people that it could be you then he

[7:16]goes on to Hass Al basri's opinion and then he goes on

[7:20]to Iam's opinion and you know what I find wonderful about all

[7:22]of this is that in the Sunni World always remember in any

[7:25]discussion that you have with sunnis you must always remember remember that

[7:34]they will always refer to a scholar who may suit their particular

[7:37]framework at that moment in time one may argue if I'm going

[7:40]to be sincere that that could refer to all Muslims in their

[7:43]theological historical arguments when the Sunni world if I give an argument

[7:48]today related to the first Khalifa someone will say no I go

[7:53]with Iam's opinion ahead of Hassan Al basri's opinion wait Hassan Al

[7:56]basri says maybe in directly there was a hint Sly who taught

[8:08]me how I walk into the bathroom with which foot and how

[8:14]I am meant to clean myself and purify myself how I eat

[8:18]and drink all of these things and how I am with my

[8:23]family and with my community and yet he could not make it

[8:25]clear for us who the leader is after him I repeat as

[8:37]I enjoy it because is clear as day to me simple the

[8:40]prophet announces on the day ofad in front of thousands no indirect

[8:47]hint subtle no we all know who Salman and Abu and MD

[9:00]it's clear as day but when you come to the Sunni world

[9:03]what does he say he says number one it could be the

[9:11]companions choosing number two it could be indirectly number three it could

[9:18]be explicit why can't we make up our mind on such an

[9:24]important issue who succeeds is not a basic trivial issue at the

[9:31]end of the day you all who are not sh are very

[9:36]proud to stress the importance of for rightly guided cffs and that

[9:40]you must adhere to them and respect them so it can't be

[9:46]something trivial so why is it that the Sunni world is so

[9:48]uncertain whether the first Khalifa was chosen explicitly or implicitly he also

[9:57]mentions that there could be also certain verses of the Quran that

[10:02]may talk about the first Khalifa being Chosen and this is very

[10:06]interesting while he gives all the opinions he says that you know

[10:12]what sometimes they posit that there could be ayat of the Quran

[10:15]that could be used to show that the first Khalifa is the

[10:21]most respected and the best to take over if we play clip

[10:27]number two you will see two interesting a of the Quran that

[10:30]he refers to as possible ay that show Abu Bakr and why

[10:37]he should be khif please play clip number two perhaps a little

[10:41]bit perhaps more indicative than others uh of them of course is

[10:44]the verse that talks about Abu Bakr what is the verse that

[10:48]talks about Abu Bakr he's the what third in the cave oh

[10:51]he second in the cave second in the cave [Music] right okay

[11:00]so what is the how how can this be used to derive

[11:04]abak should be Theif so they say if he is the second

[11:10]of the two then when the first one is missing who is

[11:12]left Abu Bakr right so Allah says he is the second of

[11:19]the two so logically speaking when the first is not there the

[11:23]second must come and stand in his place right so when Allah

[11:28]subhah wa ta'ala explicitly call him this indicates therefore that when the

[11:33]number one is not there and is missing uh passed away number

[11:37]two will take that place and frankly that's not a bad evidence

[11:41]okay it's actually somewhat of a good evidence here that when Allah

[11:44]says Abu Bakr is a second of the two therefore when number

[11:48]one is not there number two then gets into the place and

[11:50]in fact linguistically what does khif mean linguistically khif means the one

[11:57]who has been appointed to be in charge of so means to

[12:04]take over when the person leaves so when somebody leaves then Theif

[12:10]comes so when Allah says then in fact this makes him kind

[12:17]of Theif because khif means when the one goes so the number

[12:21]two comes in therefore this is one opinion sorry one Ayah another

[12:25]Ayah that is used isah verse 100 where Allah says and those

[12:40]who are the earliest who raised to convert to Islam from the

[12:46]m and the and those who came after them so in this

[12:51]verse Allah subhana wa tala is basically indicating that the earliest converts

[12:54]are the best and they are in order after the prophet Salli

[12:58]wasallam so after the prophet who do you have the earliest of

[13:06]the batches who raced from and then even there's a m then

[13:10]so who is the first adult convert of the mun abak sik

[13:15]right so Allah subhah wa tala therefore is also indicating according to

[13:21]this interpretation that Abu Bakr sik should be uh should be uh

[13:24]in in charge after the prophet now these are the two verses

[13:29]that in my opinion have at least in my opinion some it

[13:31]makes some sense there are at least seven eight others that are

[13:36]given that frankly I don't find much substance in it seems more

[13:39]imaginative such as alhamdulillah these are the two verses with substance or

[13:52]you say the others are without substance and imaginative and these are

[13:57]the ones with substance first and foremost you are referring to what

[14:02]second of the two in number there's two people in a cave

[14:10]and their life is in danger second of the two the Ayah

[14:12]tells us second of the two how does that mean that the

[14:16]second one is appointed if I look at IM Ali in the

[14:22]bed of s alai the prophet appoints him to be the one

[14:27]who sleeps in the bed but I don't say that that is

[14:29]indicative that IM Ali because he was chosen of all the sah

[14:34]should be khif number one or even Khalifa number two because on

[14:37]that night let's say you've got one sleeping in the bed another

[14:40]in the cave so I could easily turn around and say the

[14:44]one appointed to sleep in the bed is Theif after really really

[14:51]you're going to use 30th name and then firstly before I get

[14:57]to if you're using this a on the cave what happens if

[15:05]there are other verses about IM aliam praising him why then can

[15:09]we as the Shia not use AAS related to IM Ali to

[15:13]say that this is clear that IM aliam is praised by the

[15:18]heavens and therefore should beifa you use the incident of the cave

[15:23]as proof number one you're the one who admitted that there are

[15:28]those amongst the Sunni who Clearly say that the companions chose him

[15:34]they didn't say the cave verse chose him s whoever was there

[15:40]chose him you've now done your or or used of those if

[15:45]I'm going to be fair who have used these ay what if

[15:50]their ay revealed about why can't they become what if there are

[15:57]about what if there's so many verses about different companions why can't

[16:09]I do that one of these becomes khif is the reason that

[16:14]you say because he's the second of the two that means he

[16:16]must be second in command the same first Khalifa was under the

[16:27]command of an 18-year-old shortly before Allah s died you see what

[16:33]many in the Sunni world do not know is that couple days

[16:42]before alai died he had asked an 18-year-old called us to lead

[16:48]the troops and go and get revenge for the death of his

[16:52]father Zade from the Romans Usama is how old 18 so why

[16:59]is Usama not become khif of you're going to hedge bets when

[17:06]Al appoints somebody to be the last leader you could even posit

[17:11]this guy for because you could say Osama was appointed to be

[17:15]the leader over Abu bak andar and the Other M someone says

[20:35]of all of that my dear brother sisters they begin to question's

[20:39]decision to appoint usam over them look what it says come back

[20:57]here then he continues he says what he says you people are

[21:16]attacking this decision of Usama being a commander over all of you

[21:20]sahab the same way you attack the decision over Usama being a

[21:26]Comm his father Zade being a commander he said I love him

[21:43]and one of the best people for me and his father so

[21:48]look here my dear brother and sisters a couple of days before

[21:52]dies Abu bak and Omar number one are meant to go with

[21:58]an army with Osama number two someone 18 years old why isn't

[22:01]Abu Bakr the commander of the army if he's so great number

[22:05]two why do you want him out of Medina for what reason

[22:07]why do you want Omar out of Medina for what reason why

[22:11]why do you want out of Medina again let's be very clear

[22:16]about this come to this everyone can see over here in the

[22:21]of of course of all of you can see over here where

[26:15]no no Abu Bak Omar go with osama's army some will come

[26:18]and say no no but they never ended up going they had

[26:20]to stay they didn't have they were a TR to stay under

[28:54]who've gone and two sahaba in particular who have remained behind they're

[28:59]not going anywhere their daughters are there they are there they're not

[29:04]moving anywhere they're staying behind so much for sahaba Unity some sahaba

[29:10]go Abu Bakr and Omar stay behind and of course listen someone's

[29:14]going to say well you know what they took permission they were

[29:16]under the command of 18-y old if I'm in my 50s or

[29:20]I'm in my 40s remember Abu Bakr died a couple of years

[29:24]after if you put me under the command of an 18-year-old says

[29:29]a lot about my leadership skills anyway anyway anyway so here what's

[29:36]interesting is that even when he sent Ras Allah comes back says

[32:29]want to stay behind in Medina yeah there's issues there but there's

[32:33]a possibility that after died the companions could change andl make clear

[32:43]they did change where do I see come with me sah Muslim

[34:02]and they will recognize me then they will be prevented from reaching

[34:09]me imagine I will recognize and they will recognize me and they

[34:15]will be prevented from reaching me but then in the next Hadith

[34:20]what does it say The Prophet reaches that same area and he

[34:26]looks and he says they belong to me you do not know

[34:37]what they did after you were [Music] gone you did not know

[34:50]what they did after you were gone someone says yes but is

[34:56]that enough no keep looking down go back away away with the

[35:01]one who changed the religion after what who changed the religion after

[35:11]I was gone it's unbelievable this tradition my dear brothers and sisters

[35:19]unbelievable come back to the tradition what will you see you do

[35:23]not know what they did after you were gone and I will

[35:29]say away away with the one who changed the religion after I

[35:33]was gone how do our Sunni Brothers interpret this some of them

[35:37]said what some of them said these are just Hypocrites these are

[35:43]apostates yes they were apostates after Allah sallallahu alaih died there were

[35:45]apostates there were Hypocrites everywhere what's the sign of hypocrisy sign of

[35:50]hypocrisy is angering fa zah one of the biggest signs I'm sure

[35:56]all Muslims agree that you'd never anger f z not just anger

[35:59]the confiscation of fed we're coming to all of these these are

[36:01]all signs those who go against the words of No Doubt all

[36:08]of these are signs so you have apostates you have Hypocrites but

[36:12]someone still says yeah but is the word sah actually mentioned because

[36:17]come back to the Hadith again what does it say the messenger

[36:21]of Allah said they belong to me about those who he sees

[36:25]but it will be said you do not know what they did

[36:27]after you were gone and I will say away away with the

[36:32]one who changed the religion after I was gone that's inah Muslim

[36:37]in again because always the Sunni question is could a group of

[36:44]the sah change after died look over here everybody please the translation

[36:52]and the meanings of what do we have volume 8 had 597

[38:13]the prophet peace be upon his family or changed some of his

[38:16]teachings or even turned on his family and wanting the force pledge

[38:19]bukari and Muslim both say that when the prophet gos to the

[38:25]pool of K he actually blatantly says I recognize them but they're

[38:28]taken away from me if you're taken away from the pool of

[38:32]K where are you heading come back whereupon I will say my

[38:36]companions asab then it will be said you do not know what

[38:39]they innovated in the religion after you two points first point if

[38:45]you say it's not Abu Bakr and Omar then you admit that

[38:47]you canot believe in the ultimate decency of the sah of all

[38:52]of them why because here the Hadith shows you don't know what

[38:56]they did after so this whole idea we have to to respect

[38:58]all the sahaba that you could put somewhere else the second thing

[39:04]is it could easily be those who turned away from the teachings

[53:37]Bakr because Abu Bakr is better than Omar all in all but

[53:41]not necessarily better than Ali in judging or better than khid in

[53:52]running an army or fighting or better than mu jabal in knowing

[53:55]what's Halal and what's Haram and and the likes so in total

[54:01]yes Abu Bakr was the best of this umah without any doubt

[54:05]but does that that that does not mean he would qualify to

[54:08]be a messenger or a prophet after the prophet if there were

[54:15]to be a prophet so this choice is only in Allah's hands

[54:21]and according to specific characteristics that only Allah knows about so no

[54:26]one has the right to judge why did he say this about

[54:30]Omar not about AB Bakr and Allah knows best even the poor

[54:35]goes around in circles and still can't answer the question properly if

[54:41]there was a prophet after me would be Omar so why is

[54:44]Omar not the Khalifa first Khalifa and listen to whatam says he

[54:47]says you know Ali is better than Abu Bakr and judging KH
