[0:00]foreign [Music] [Music] foreign I'm a bad when Imam Hussein returned following
[1:19]the martyrdom of Heaven the Imam was grief-stricken and he was crying
[1:27]he then called out at that moment is there any help to
[1:34]help us is there any Defender to defend us is there any
[1:38]who fears the fire of hell to come and fight alongside us
[1:43]when he returned towards the tent his daughter sukena emerged and said
[1:51]where is my uncle Abbas at that moment Imam al-hussein told her
[1:55]about the martyrdom said I'm hearing of the martyrdom of Abel father
[2:02]she called out um Salaam after having heard these words of zainab
[2:17]said we are surely in Lost after him then looked around and
[2:27]he saw that all his companions had been killed and all his
[2:32]family members had been killed and no less was their sacrifice like
[2:40]the sacrifices on the day of idol of her the Imam came
[2:43]forward and said is there any defender of the sanctity of rasulullah
[2:49]sallallahu alaihi is there any believer in Allah is there any of
[2:56]the helpers of Allah to come and help us now at that
[3:02]moment the lady has begun to cry having heard these lines Imam
[3:10]Zane who was not able to fight in Carabella at that moment
[3:13]he leaned on his stick and stood up with his sword to
[3:19]which Imam al-hussein turned around and said stop him for this Earth
[3:26]cannot be emptied of the progeny of rasulullah give me Abdullah my
[3:40]baby when he took the baby in his hands he then at
[3:47]that moment said distance be these people from the mercy of Allah
[3:55]and your grandfather will be against them the first of Allah a
[4:07]second even louder hmm a third with your loudest voices in honor
[4:19]of the Imam of our time Imam [Music] respected Scholars brothers and
[4:32]sisters 2 40 p.m the afternoon of the 10th of Muharram and
[4:41]now is the time for us to discuss the anguish of Salaam
[4:47]and did you find hardly ever is discussed within our majalis except
[4:53]in relation to The Killing and the martyrdom of her child but
[4:58]the reality is that this lady was a lady of the greatest
[5:04]repute a lady of the greatest Astana like all the other ladies
[5:07]on the 10th of Muharram such as ramla the mother of qasim
[5:12]such as of course also the ladies who were the wives of
[5:17]the companions who were present in karbala like delam the wife of
[5:24]zohair it was these ladies who upheld the true message of the
[5:28]religion of Islam not just at karbala but after karbala because on
[5:35]a number of occasions I've said that Carabella in reality begun when
[5:40]Imam al-hussein died that is true Bella what these ladies had to
[5:45]go through not just at Carabella but after karbala one may argue
[5:51]preserve the message of the religion of Islam if you are ask
[5:55]many people tell us about this lady who has got such a
[6:01]prime position in our lives that every year on the nights of
[6:04]the 10th of Muharram all of us remember her child or should
[6:07]I say children because one of her children was of course the
[6:11]infant baby and the other was of course so therefore at karabala
[6:19]rabab had two Representatives one who died and another who kept the
[6:26]message of Imam al-hussein alive but what's her background who are her
[6:31]parents who are her in-laws and on top of that what did
[6:39]Imam al-hussein say about her Imam wrote poetry on rabab wrote poetry
[6:45]on the Imam if ever there was a love story in the
[6:48]lives people normally mentioned with the holy prophet peace be upon him
[6:55]his family or people mention even in wedding lectures when we're invited
[7:04]to give lectures at weddings normally the examples that we end up
[7:08]giving are the examples of these two why because you'll find that
[7:14]if a person doesn't analyze the love between Imam al-hussein and between
[7:19]then there is no other love story to mention rarely does the
[7:25]person see write poems about his love for his wife and rarely
[7:31]will you see a wife of any Imam of a little bit
[7:36]who has ever faced such anguish and torture the way rabba faced
[7:45]after karbala remembering Imam Al Hussain because in reality there may be
[7:51]a child you lose and a husband you lose but there's a
[7:54]difference with this husband for he is both the Imam and your
[7:58]husband she Remains the main wife on the 10th of Muharram who
[8:04]could not recover from what happened at karbala others tried to recover
[8:09]say the zainab of course is the mountain of patience but couldn't
[8:14]recover in our day and age sometimes we have in Psychology something
[8:20]which is called post-traumatic stress disorder PTSD is something that can affect
[8:25]anyone if you've been in a war in reality a person who
[8:30]was for example in the Gulf War in 91 like many of
[8:34]those who were here in Iraq who saw what took place in
[8:36]the Gulf War there are some who don't recover from that there
[8:39]are some who don't recover from wars in Afghanistan or Wars in
[8:43]Syria or Wars anywhere you have this trauma because of what you've
[8:48]seen nobody discusses the post-trauma of the ladies of an Muhammad in
[8:52]reality these ladies on the one hand they're an example for anyone
[8:57]who's been through a trauma that if you've been through a difficult
[9:01]time hold on to them if you've seen a loss in your
[9:05]life there may be some ladies here in this Hall who have
[9:07]lost the husband who have lost children who'd you hold on to
[9:12]who'd you hold on to after a trauma like this you hold
[9:14]on to these ladies because the rabba being the fallible person that
[9:20]she was she could not take what took place at karbala when
[9:23]a person examines what she did in the court of IBN Ziad
[9:28]or what she did when she went back to live in Medina
[9:30]if the reports are to be taken that she went back to
[9:34]Medina some even say she never left karbala when they got back
[9:36]in the arbane she did not want to go home she wanted
[9:39]to stay this lady is the embodiment of the perfect love story
[9:46]you want to understand love you want to understand expression of love
[9:49]you want to understand not being able to recover when you're married
[9:53]to a man like Imam with all his facets and attributes then
[9:57]examine this lady let us tonight examine and her background and try
[10:05]and understand the development of her relationship with the Imam as well
[10:10]as understand what she went through on the 10th of Muharram before
[10:14]I do that it's 2 40 p.m ashora day karbala I'd like
[10:21]us just to rewind 50 years in only 50 years when you
[10:24]rewind 50 years we go back to 11 ah 50 years before
[10:31]61 ah 118 age the grandfather of Hussein was nearly coming to
[10:35]his end in terms of passing away from this world he had
[10:40]completed the message of the religion of Islam the Quran had said
[10:43]about him and about the religion and reality that he is the
[10:49]best example and that the religion was completed and it was blessed
[10:51]all of you have read the eye in the Quran in Surah
[10:55]5 verse 3 words today I have completed your religion perfected my
[11:11]bounties upon you yes and have completed the religion of Allah this
[11:16]religion the religion of Islam 50 years before Carabella was now a
[11:21]religion with theological principles with legal principles with ethical principles with spiritual
[11:30]principles with social principles it was a religion that had established certain
[11:36]absolute truths a religion that these truths would be followed if there
[11:40]was a law it was to be observed if there was a
[11:44]custom it was to be honored if there was a spiritual height
[11:46]it was to be reached the religion was a religion of Sciences
[11:49]theology ethics spirituality and law the religion had made sure that through
[11:56]establishing certain Concepts it was to build an ideal human being and
[12:03]an ideal Society first and foremost a society that's appreciated the good
[12:10]of the society that came before it Islam did not come and
[12:12]say all you jahili Arabs are bad no Islam said you have
[12:17]certain things which are good certain things which are bad of the
[12:20]things that they had which were good by the time of the
[12:25]11th year after Hijra was what what the things that were good
[12:27]was that there were four months in the calendar where the Arabs
[12:32]would not fight each other the sacred months the Arabs as much
[12:43]as they loved the Punjab and as much as they loved the
[12:46]Skirmish there were four months where the Arabs were like let's chill
[12:49]out a bit what were those four months Islam did not have
[12:53]a problem with those four months Islam wanted that to be honored
[12:58]that this is a good thing that you know what we have
[12:59]seen this is a good thing number one Muharram the Arab jahili
[13:05]who used to be the worst of the West it says look
[13:12]Muharram is a sacred month leave it right Islamic said why demolish
[13:22]or abolish this form it's very good that even the jahil has
[13:25]four months where they do not fight someone says they didn't know
[13:30]what if someone transgresses against you in those four months someone transgresses
[13:33]you have to defend yourself that there's no doubt but if someone
[13:38]doesn't transgress and someone doesn't want to hurt you then you don't
[13:40]go and Bully them then you don't go and hurt them you
[13:44]don't go and destroy their property or their lives so on the
[13:49]one hand Islam as a religion honored by saying that look there
[13:52]are four months that the Arabs observe that Islam wants to also
[13:55]continue why not if the month of Muharram comes and you see
[14:01]in front of you that there's a group of people don't fight
[14:03]don't kill make sure you honor this that was number one number
[14:09]two Islam also said that if you take non-muslims as captives respect
[14:16]them true don't be vile towards them don't be arrogant towards them
[14:20]I now look at a non-muslim army rasulullah would say if the
[14:25]Rope on their wrist is too tight then make sure that you
[14:31]loosen it don't let someone with a rope around his wrist make
[14:34]sure it's not too tight make sure you loosen it and someone
[14:39]might say to me but these people are not Muslim who cares
[14:41]no no no no no no these are still our equals in
[14:46]humanity yes Islam came and put this principle opposition if you capture
[14:50]there then make sure you respect them number three especially of them
[14:54]they're women and their children Islam had came and said beautifully 11ah
[15:00]I want you to make the comparison from where we are today
[15:03]and what happened to the religion okay woman and children if you
[15:08]firstly they are not obliged to go to Jihad a woman is
[15:11]not obliged to go to Jihad a child is not obliged elderly
[15:15]not obliged the disabled or the physically challenged are not obliged likewise
[15:20]if you catch women and children in the opposition don't slap them
[15:24]don't hurt them don't kick them don't bully them even rasulallah in
[15:31]the middle of Bilal took the woman of the Jews when they
[15:36]had been caught Bilal took them through the middle of the army
[15:39]rasulallah how could you he said what did I do wrong he
[15:46]said their beloved their bodies are on the ground even if those
[15:52]people were our enemies you don't make someone walk across the ground
[15:57]for example where his father's been killed would you do such a
[16:03]thing no the beauty of Islam was what the beauty of Islam
[16:05]was saying that there are rules for dealing with the opposition There
[16:09]are rules for war there's even another rule that's if the opposition
[16:15]are thirsty quench their thirst true look at the beauty of elioma
[16:19]it was such a beautiful religion opposition our thirsty quench their thirst
[16:25]that person who's thirsty on the Battle of Sophie did not maula
[16:30]when he had control in the Battle of saffir and morawia previously
[16:33]had control of the water when mola had control what did mola
[16:36]do he said give them water no problem don't want to see
[16:41]their horses thirsty let alone their soldiers thirsty the ethics of Islam
[16:45]in 11 ah was wonderful it was a religion that realized that
[16:50]yes someone might be my enemy does not mean that I abuse
[16:56]them or that I insult them and I do not transgress many
[16:59]times in the Quran if you read that verse fight them but
[17:04]do not transgress against them meaning that I fought you but don't
[17:09]transgress for example when IBN muljam struck Imam Imam said you strike
[17:14]him with one strike like he struck me but don't mutilate his
[17:17]body you shouldn't even mutilate the body of a dog that has
[17:27]rabies a dog with rabies don't mutilate that dog's body don't play
[17:31]with it just because it's dead on the ground the Islamic ethics
[17:36]was so wonderful when Islam was complete further than that when Islam
[17:41]was complete you found that the Quran had also given certain reminders
[17:45]that when you have signs of God on Earth there are certain
[17:47]people and there are certain creatures who may be signs of Allah
[17:54]on Earth profits are signs of Allah on Earth their family members
[17:58]are to be honored even an animal may be a sign of
[18:00]Allah on Earth was not the camel and the story of Nabis
[18:04]why do I mention the camel in the story of Saleh because
[18:09]when that baby was in the hands of Imam Imam mentioned that
[18:16]Camel that that Camel of Salah Allah had said that this was
[18:20]a sign of mine on the earth whenever you see any of
[18:26]my signs don't be bad to them don't be rude to them
[18:30]don't be those who attack them these are my signs a camel
[18:32]the people of tamut instead of honoring the camel what did they
[18:37]do to the camel they absolutely hamstrung the camel and killed it
[18:40]why would the Quran mention such an Ayah because the Quran was
[18:43]reminding signs of Allah come in different ways tree is out of
[18:49]sign rivers are a sign the environment is a sign likewise the
[18:51]animals are a sign that should be honored by all of you
[18:54]that do not destroy that sign the Quran also by the time
[19:00]Islam was completed 50 years before karbala had also made clear that
[19:04]never ever should a baby ask on the day of judgment for
[19:09]what reason was I killed lovely in the Quran you see today
[19:12]in the world there is female or male infanticide there are people
[19:18]who abort children for fun I for example made a mistake last
[19:21]week last month last couple of months I don't want to keep
[19:25]it now just kill the baby it's my right I'm a human
[19:27]being Quran came and said that honor those babies because otherwise on
[19:32]the day of judgment that baby will ask for what reason was
[19:38]I killed what crime we know that babies are not so mean
[19:44]true our children are masum meaning that they have not committed any
[19:51]a baby will ask on the day of judgment why did you
[19:55]Arabs Bury Me Alive what did I do wrong to you I'm
[20:00]not committed a crime against you for you to kill me by
[20:02]the time Islam was completed on the 11th year after Hijra 50
[20:07]years before this moment in karbala the religion had been made so
[20:11]clear with the prophetic statement I leave behind for you 280 things
[20:20]the Quran and my a little bit this is not something which
[20:22]belongs to the Shia belongs all Muslims even some non-musia say that
[20:26]it means look after my not hold on to them no problem
[20:33]even look after them by the time therefore the 11th year after
[20:35]Hijra when we say Islam was completed what do we mean a
[20:41]set of ethical principles that we had to abide by a set
[20:44]of legal principles we had to abide by a set of social
[20:49]principles that we are to abide by assets of spiritual principles that
[20:51]we have to abide by why Hussein men Ali emerges in karbala
[20:54]because all of them got shattered one by one one by one
[20:59]all that his grandfather had revealed to the world was shattered one
[21:03]by one represented by those in sham every single one of those
[21:10]that I mentioned woman disrespected baby killed ladies held as captives transgressed
[21:18]on by the enemies of the religion of Islam no one was
[21:21]respecting the ethos of what was left behind with their little baits
[21:24]and the signs of Allah were completely diminished and where do you
[21:29]see all of its reach its climax at this moment on the
[21:32]plains of karbala at 2 40 PM everything that rasool Allah had
[21:39]built on the religion of Islam all of it was about to
[21:45]be shattered in one afternoon every single one of those principles in
[21:49]honor of the army of the opposition we said was a month
[21:56]no fighting that had gone women were not to be hurt that
[21:59]had gone the children were not to be abused that had gone
[22:04]the baby was not to be killed we come towards now in
[22:06]Carabella and we see the perspective from the mother of who originally
[22:15]on the first level came from a convert family this is a
[22:21]vital line was a convert he was a Christian who had joined
[22:27]the religion of Islam notice that had no problem marrying someone who's
[22:35]a convert no issue if she comes from a family that were
[22:39]originally converts what's the problem does she have yes does she have
[22:44]the religion sometimes the convert is a better Muslim than we are
[22:47]sometimes when you meet a convert you'll see that our people sometimes
[22:53]don't appreciate what a diamond a convert is many of us in
[22:57]reality had we not been born on the path of Allah many
[23:01]of us would not be what we are today if I was
[23:05]born in a Christian family I may still have stayed Christian if
[23:07]you are born in a Hindu family you may have stayed Hindu
[23:11]that convert is someone who has gone through immense reflection for them
[23:15]to reach where they've reached and yet subhanallah how many converts you
[23:20]find in our communities find it difficult to get married yes you
[23:24]see someone who's converted to the religion of Islam and you tell
[23:27]them where is the background Christianity how do we normally answer one
[23:30]group say well I'm not sure about his past I don't know
[23:36]what their background is another even call them spies anyone who converts
[23:41]straight away spy spy spy Spy this spy of course is something
[23:47]they label not all of us mashallah as it is as if
[23:50]all of us are James Bonds walking on the Earth that's wherever
[23:54]you go when a person has a problem with somebody what do
[23:59]they say this one's a spy no problem call a spy call
[24:01]us whatever you want to call us but the convert who has
[24:07]sacrificed everything in their life why call them spies these poor people
[24:10]they come to our community they want to get married and you'll
[24:13]see many people who will not welcome them was a Christian he
[24:19]converted to the religion of Islam and became the father-in-law of three
[24:23]imams how many converts can say that they were the father-in-laws of
[24:33]three imams very rare for someone to say that I am the
[24:36]father-in-law of Ali Hassan and Hussein had two sisters one sister was
[24:45]mahayat and the other sister was Selma when her father converted to
[24:53]Islam his conversion was something highly respected by Imam seeing that this
[25:01]convert probably knows more about the religion than those who are born
[25:05]in the religion those who are born what do you want me
[25:10]to do Allah white the converts would have dissected the books of
[25:15]Islam Inside Out debating on those issues which one would you want
[25:19]who to be close to Imam Ali saw this man converted during
[25:24]the Khalifa of the second caliph Imam came to him he said
[25:28]to him I respect you you're a man of Honor you're a
[25:33]man of dignity I would like to propose for your daughter and
[25:37]I'd like Hassan to have a second and I'd like Hussein to
[25:42]have the other imagine when you come like that firstly has this
[25:45]special thing that if he proposes for anything it's going to accept
[25:51]him yes I think the most beloved human being to anyone is
[25:54]Imam Imam came he said I want to propose and Hassan wants
[26:00]to propose wants to propose this is an opinion that is seen
[26:02]historically and believed in by some Imam when he said that to
[26:09]um then turn around and say that no and I'm not sure
[26:11]and so on no in the country we're a family of converts
[26:15]sometimes it's not easy for our daughters in contrast to the daughters
[26:19]of the community Daughters of the community I'm her cousin she's his
[26:22]cousin he's his cousin third cousin six cousin seventh cousin correct much
[26:25]easier for them convert family you always spot them from a mile
[26:28]away it's like the the one white token family in the mosque
[26:33]yes you see them or the one black token family in the
[26:35]mosque you got a mosque full of Iraqis and you may see
[26:39]that there's a family there of the black community or you might
[26:41]have a mosque of the indo-packed subcontinent and you'll see someone of
[26:45]the white Community there and you can see from a mile away
[26:49]some families will say masha'allah Good Girls others will say no culture
[26:53]difference mother and so on knew that these are three daughters of
[26:57]one of the best converts Imam came he married Salma married Imam
[27:04]Al Hassan married to was absolutely in love with rabab no doubt
[27:17]he she gave him true children let's look at the two children
[27:22]that she gave him the eldest of the two was Hussein now
[27:28]let's open up this and dissect in the Arab world if you
[27:34]come and say to someone sukena in the Arab mind it is
[27:39]one of the Elder Daughters of Imam Hussein so if you walk
[27:42]down the street here in karbala and you say to one of
[27:46]the Iraqis you engage in a conversation with them and you saying
[27:49]you know one young daughter of Imam Hussain she was 10 12
[27:55]14 years of age you go to the indo-pack subcontinent says to
[28:00]you yes that three-year-old daughter of Imam Arab turns around you say
[28:07]to the Arab well who's the three-year-old he says yes I know
[28:10]the three-year-old that's rukaya and now you have a confusion sometimesiba because
[28:16]in the Arab world if you talk that is the one in
[28:21]the indo-pack world they think of us so when you now come
[28:26]and discuss the two you see that in the eyes of some
[28:28]three-year-old three years let me give you my own analysis of this
[28:36]in my opinion even I don't believe that these are names I
[28:42]believe these are titles of the daughters not names I believe that
[28:49]their names are different from their titles so for example when it
[28:52]comes to sukina I actually believe that sukhaina's original name is Amina
[28:56]daughter of Imam al-hussein but she was also titled sukena why titled
[29:03]sukena because either her tranquil presence or because she was a peaceful
[29:10]presence or even because she was someone who was very quiet and
[29:18]calm as a child all of these you know Sakina is in
[29:21]the Quran the word Sakina is within the Quran many times when
[29:25]Allah discusses in the idea of what tranquility therefore this one in
[29:32]my opinion my historical reading and if someone out there wants to
[29:35]differ with me then they're more than welcome people can have their
[29:39]own historical analysis and readings in my opinion when you're looking at
[29:43]sukena you're looking at someone who at the minimum minimum was 12
[29:48]years of age minimum nothing younger than that it may even go
[29:53]up to 18 years of age depending someone says how say it
[29:57]now why would you be so certain of that on the one
[30:01]hand because of the literature review that I've done but on the
[30:04]other hand as well because of the fact that she has speeches
[30:09]in places where you cannot be three years old to give those
[30:12]speeches there's no way a three-year-old cannot give the speech that she
[30:16]gave in kufa in front of IBN Ziad the famous speech that
[30:21]speech as well is sometimes they say it's a speech of sukana
[30:24]sometimes they say speech of father has another issue because you now
[30:28]have daughters who could also be called Fatma so could be a
[30:34]title foreign that's okay now I want you to focus on this
[30:47]point that's okay that has conversations with her father on ashora day
[30:51]father why don't we just return back to Medina father have you
[30:57]submitted yourself to death have you heard this father have you submitted
[31:01]yourself to death I ask you if that is the same as
[31:05]the three-year-old the three-year-old in sham continuously seems to be someone who
[31:09]whenever you say to her she will always say to you where's
[31:12]Dad he said he's coming back that's not someone who's 12 or
[31:16]15.
[31:17]yes that's someone who's very very young whereas sukana has the most
[31:23]mature conversations with her mother and would say the same and on
[31:29]top of those mature conversations stands in the court of IBN Ziad
[31:33]in kufa and gives a lengthy speech lengthy when I say lengthy
[31:35]you know it's lengthy because it took me a while to memorize
[31:40]that speech when I first gave it about 15 16 years ago
[31:42]and imagine this that speech is at least at least two three
[31:47]no actually coming back to it it was about seven eight pages
[31:51]long that speech of salaam therefore was a speech which when we
[31:56]look at it we find that that particular speech was of someone
[32:01]who was definitely much older therefore original name amen and she went
[32:09]on to live after karbala for at least after karbala at least
[32:12]at least 50 years after karbala but of course she went through
[32:15]the Messiah that she went through there's no doubt about that that
[32:20]sukena was the Elder one the younger one was who the younger
[32:23]one was again that younger one has problem name in its origin
[32:28]is Fatima comes from the idea of rekka or Comfort one who
[32:33]brings you comfort in their life therefore when we come to rabab's
[32:40]eldest child in Carabella was okay original name Amina and her youngest
[32:46]was of course we come towards the baby Imam Hussein once wrote
[32:51]a poem in honor of his love for his wife and maybe
[32:56]some of the men can take her a leaf out of that
[33:00]page although the good thing is with AI now you just have
[33:03]to write make up poem for wife don't ask me how I
[33:13]know but you're right make a poem for wife or love poem
[33:15]for wife something along those lines AI now gives you a poem
[33:20]you two have just had an issue with each other so you
[33:22]know my reflection last night which by the way is not a
[33:27]lie because you're reflecting on the keyboard or the phone or the
[33:31]laptop or whatever my reflection about you last night and I thought
[33:36]I had to write you have to think in your head right
[33:43]I meant right asking for this write you a love poem maybe
[33:45]your wife will look at it and say Masha look at the
[33:49]heart if she trusts that you're that artistic there's some of you
[33:53]look like you'll never be able to write that but there's others
[33:56]who may be able to imagine they don't want to show that
[34:01]they are what the Arab showed Arab will say what do you
[34:02]mean I say to her I love you I'm Arab I don't
[34:05]know I love you what's wrong with you bro relax what is
[34:08]it a war you've married someone's daughter you want to fight her
[34:10]say say what do you know said Allah you know our tribe
[34:16]we don't not show any emotion and no but if you showed
[34:20]more emotion then a she will love you more maybe she may
[34:23]even give you less headaches less lectures she may even look at
[34:28]you and say well at least this person because sometimes sometimes an
[34:30]impulsive message of I love you makes a difference to the marriage
[34:34]rather than all when the wife tells you you don't send me
[34:39]messages the next minute okay I love you well of course she's
[34:41]told you just now you don't send me whereas if you send
[34:47]Imam Al Hussain has a poem he says I love being in
[34:52]a house where above and sukhaina are living I love them daily
[34:59]to the extent that I'll sacrifice all my valuables for them and
[35:04]no one of you can disapprove of me doing this for them
[35:11]imagine I love a house where above and sukhaina are living how
[35:15]much does he love his wife and his daughter up until that
[35:20]time when he wrote his poem there was no child a baby
[35:22]I love my wife and my daughter I love the house where
[35:27]they are notice he puts the word I love the house where
[35:29]they are living because either that house can become the worst of
[35:34]houses a difficult house or that house your wife is a source
[35:39]of peace for you and your daughter is titled peace imagine he
[35:43]says I love a house where above and sukina are living I
[35:47]love them dearly to the extent that I'll sacrifice all my belongings
[35:54]for these two everything that I own I'm willing to sacrifice just
[35:58]so that I see her and her happy and none of you
[36:03]he tells them in the poem can disapprove of This Love that
[36:06]I have for them he writes this poem for his wife and
[36:10]his daughter she has an unbelievable love for him as well what's
[36:16]her unbelievable love uh you wanna see love look at rabob's love
[36:20]for Hussein the first time that this love becomes very clear is
[36:28]where is that in the court of IBN Ziad when IBN Ziad
[36:30]was poking the eyes of Imam al-hussein and they were poking the
[36:37]teeth of Imam al-hussein and he was mocking them while they were
[36:40]doing this when this happened Rabbi came forward and she went towards
[36:45]the head and she called out oh Hussain I'll never forget you
[36:50]imagine in front of that whole crowd she came in front of
[36:53]all of them she said oh Hussein I'll never forget you your
[36:58]body they dug the spears into it was like a mosiba in
[37:04]kufa from the wife normally when someone resides massage it's normally the
[37:09]male the wife said oh Hussain I'll never forget you why your
[37:14]body they dug their Spears into they were the ones who betrayed
[37:22]him and they killed him oh Allah send the drought on karbala
[37:27]oh Allah send the drought on karbala for what's happened then let
[37:35]this be a punishment for what took place there harsh words very
[37:39]strong words because for her what happened at cannabella the grandson of
[37:44]rasulullah dies thirsty in karbala and no Waters made available for him
[37:48]everybody in the court of aminciad was flabbergasted how much love does
[37:53]she have for him if you thought that was love then look
[37:56]at the love that she has even further than that what is
[38:01]it when after karbala they were taken as prisoners and they come
[38:07]back to Medina of course when she came back what does the
[38:13]maktal say says that when she came back was asked that there
[38:17]is a lady who sits under the Heat of Medina under the
[38:23]sun just sits there under the sun is there a punishment for
[38:32]her sitting directly under the sun said no there's no punishment for
[38:43]her then why then does she sit directly under the sun she
[38:45]doesn't put a cover look at us in Iraq when we walk
[38:49]in this heat don't you sometimes you you want a shade ASAP
[38:51]because that Sun's burning you he says no no no it's not
[38:56]because she is being punished by anyone instead then what is it
[38:58]he says she says that's the moment she saw her husband have
[39:08]his face burnt by the Sun she could never live under a
[39:14]shadow how could I be under the Shadow and I saw said
[39:22]burnt by the Sun so you know what she did gets to
[39:27]Medina she asked one of the people of benihashem please make sure
[39:31]you go the roof on top of my house take it off
[39:37]off they said Baba the son of Medina Burns said it should
[39:42]burn me my Imam was burnt on the earth subhanallah were only
[39:48]hours away from remembering that fateful afternoon she said it's not right
[39:52]a wife who loves her husband has to feel everything he feels
[39:57]so I wanna burn under the sun that sun will burn me
[40:05]she died exactly Muharram the year after karbala but you lost others
[40:12]no no no no no no that's the love of my life
[40:15]that man she had been married to him for over 15 years
[40:19]that's the love of my life I could not accept that I'm
[40:24]in a shade and he was burnt on the earth because you
[40:26]know Imam Al Hussain did not die within a minute or two
[40:30]so it wasn't the case that it was Imam Hussain on the
[40:34]battlefield he got killed Imam rolling around on the earth for nearly
[40:37]two hours [Music] over here a couple of hours on the earth
[40:52]imagine my Dearborn sisters who Allah imagine tomorrow I will recite Hussain
[40:56]I'll leave it for you too listen to the whole of Martel
[41:02]tomorrow but when you come to Imam Al Hussain couple of hours
[41:05]on the earth I can't sit sometimes in that sun 10 minutes
[41:12]and we're all burning imagine lips dry imagine bleeding everywhere and imagine
[41:17]just being there under the sun and the Sun is burning your
[41:23]face she said I can't I'm sorry I don't want you can
[41:25]all try you can put a roof no one's putting any roof
[41:28]I want that sun to burn me I have to feel what
[41:32]he feels I will never accept this if that's the sacrifice that
[41:36]that lady had then she was willing to give everything away true
[41:40]now when we come to karabala we said her first child was
[41:46]who her first child was second child again let's go back to
[41:50]Iraqi versus indo-pack subcontinent in the Arab world if you ask anyone
[41:58]by the way let me make clear in the Makati literature go
[42:00]all of you read the original mccartan then you will see the
[42:07]baby of Imam al-hussein is called Abdullah hence if you ask any
[42:13]of the Arabs the baby what's his name yes in the Arab
[42:18]world in the indo-pack subcontinent they call him Ali Azhar but literature
[42:26]majority of magazine say that that baby of Imam Al Hussain who
[42:32]was aged between if you look at the spectrum of the makatil
[42:38]between five months and one year but we go with the general
[42:40]opinion of the six months it's exactly that's small period you see
[42:46]that he is called Abdullah hence people ask me the question why
[42:51]do I say assalamu alaikaya Abba Abba Abdullah not Abel Hassan of
[43:06]all the titles of his sons hmm some said Abdullah Abba Abdullah
[43:15]means father of the Servants of Allah because he truly became the
[43:18]father of all Servants of Allah through his servitude on the 10th
[43:23]of Muharram others said no he has a baby called Abdullah and
[43:28]why couldn't he be called Abba Abdullah therefore if we're sticking to
[43:34]the makatil someone asked as Abdullah is there any way where they
[43:38]could be mentioned together yes but two conclusions were reached from them
[43:47]one conclusion was that Imam and Hussain lost two babies on the
[43:52]10th of Muharram one was that six months old and one had
[43:54]just been born on the tenth another opinion was five six months
[44:01]old so the idea was that Imam may have had a son
[44:07]called and he had a son called Abdullah and that there is
[44:10]a small age gap between them at the end it's up to
[44:14]you how you analyze and what conclusion you reach what ultimately we
[44:17]need to learn is the sacrifice that emerges from that moment correct
[44:22]because at that moment everybody else had lost their sons had lost
[44:30]and given away sons who are now older a mother when she's
[44:33]given birth that period post pregnancy is not easy some fall into
[44:37]depression some see their body changes hormones and so on and so
[44:41]forth so already is not exactly in a world of comfort when
[44:47]she's had her baby and this is post pregnancy and the baby
[44:51]is this old and yet imagine now when it comes to the
[44:54]10th of Muharram she has her daughter she has her son and
[45:01]now she comes towards that moment where any mother we pray to
[45:06]Allah does not have to face has a six-month-old baby still wants
[45:11]milk from their mom true and that milk is only gonna come
[45:17]while there is at least some intake of the nutrients required the
[45:20]food the drink all of that has to be there but now
[45:24]our mother feels that she's not giving back to her baby and
[45:28]now that baby who at the beginning the baby will cry and
[45:36]cry and cry until there's not even anymore and that baby continues
[45:40]and it goes silent and only Allah knows what that mother faced
[45:45]because at that moment came back towards the tent he had buried
[45:52]everybody else or he had put everybody else towards the tense I
[45:56]should say he came back towards the tent and he looked at
[46:03]zainab Salaam knew that these would be the final moments for the
[46:08]Imam and the most difficult and then he saw his baby there
[46:11]and that baby was in a stage of Anguish I always wonder
[46:15]why rabab did not hand over that baby is it because she
[46:21]didn't want to trouble Imam Al Hussain or put him in difficulty
[46:23]puts him in pain but what we find that took place emerges
[46:34]with the babies go and stop at a certain point where they
[46:40]say that Imam Al Hussain took that baby emerged and then what's
[46:45]happened happened others go even further in their description one thing we
[46:52]do know is that in the army of Umar bin in his
[46:55]army we know one thing that is very clear and that is
[47:02]that had certain archers who were there these reference of Imam al-hussein
[47:08]to the camel of Salah has interesting why because the camel of
[47:12]Saleh we know a camel can contain its thirst for a long
[47:15]period when a camel can contain its thirst for that long period
[47:21]that camel's neck is also a huge neck it's able to contain
[47:28]that thirst for that long period I ask you what is the
[47:32]relationship between the neck of a camel and the way it can
[47:39]contain the thirst and the neck of that baby Imam pointed to
[47:42]it on the one hand because they destroyed the camel that was
[47:48]offering them water whereas that baby was receiving no water that's on
[47:55]the first level but on the second level you find that that
[48:01]baby's neck how would it contain an arrow in which way even
[48:03]the arrow may have been bigger than the neck of that baby
[48:06]and that's why you find that's when we come to him when
[48:16]we come to him what do we find from him we find
[48:20]from him that he had shot a number of arrows on the
[48:25]10th of Muharram these arrows that haramala had shot all of you
[48:31]no of them of the people who caught years after karbala five
[48:36]years after karbala was foreign and when he caught him he asked
[48:47]him about the arrows that he shot on the 10th of Muharram
[48:50]may Allah give all the mother Sabor at this stage and may
[48:55]Allah give the patience to the Imam of our time Imam and
[48:58]what I'm about to recite he came to him and he said
[49:03]to him tell me about the arrows of the term when he
[49:08]asked him about the arrows of the 10th of Muharram he said
[49:12]to him the first Arrow I shot was on the right eye
[49:14]of a Belfort normally when someone Falls from their horse they fall
[49:22]with their arms in front of them except Abbas alaihissalam he fell
[49:28]without his arms in front of him Allah you said to him
[49:35]how about the second Arrow we set the second Arrow was an
[49:38]arrow that I shot towards who towards Abdullah the son of Imam
[49:44]yes Abdullah the son of Imam al-hassan when he saw Imam Hussain
[49:52]lying on the earth with no one there to help him no
[49:59]one there to protect him he came out he was running out
[50:01]of the battlefield what did she do she called out Abdullah come
[50:08]back to me my son come back but he said to her
[50:12]how do I come back and my uncle lies there alone with
[50:15]no one to protect him that was the second Arrow he said
[50:22]to him how about the third Arrow said that one Burns me
[50:25]until today Allah someone as evil as what could burn him he
[50:33]said the third Arrow I shot towards you towards the six-month-old baby
[50:41]Hussein was carrying that baby when I shot the baby the baby
[50:47]began to Flap His Hands Like a Bird flaps a twin just
[50:51]picture that side foreign s like a bird flaps its wings as
[51:10]for the fourth Arrow we asked about the fourth Arrow he said
[51:16]the fourth Arrow I shot on the chest of him when that
[51:22]baby died he returned back to the tent but did not give
[51:28]the baby back to its mother why because he knew that their
[51:30]mother her heart would break and she may even break so Imam
[51:35]and Hussein decided to do well with the baby he buried the
[51:38]baby and the Earth of Carabella Allah at least then when he
[51:42]looks at the mother he could at least tell her that I
[51:47]buried the baby yes but on the night of the 11th said
[51:52]go look for that baby Akbar they put a spin to the
[52:06]Earth they place the spin they placed the spear in the they
[52:18]took the baby out and paraded the baby on the nights of
[52:23]the 11th that same night say to zainab woke up that night
[52:25]she looked around for the ladies all of them imagine those ladies
[52:33]and Carabella all gathered with each other yes sukena was there the
[52:37]others were dead and zainab looked Western above Allah all of you
[52:41]know where I'm heading now where is she she looked outside in
[52:50]the middle of the battlefield rabob was wondering imagine all mothers here
[52:57]that you lose your baby in front of you rabob was wondering
[53:05]where is zainab came to us she said to a yes what
[53:08]are you doing she said I want to give some milk I
[53:13]want to give some water I want to quench my babies thirst
[53:18]imagine the scenes alone [Music] returned to karbala on the 40th they
[53:33]came back with the heads the heads were all there with them
[53:39]yes the heads that had been put on Spears Imam returned from
[53:42]sham and he put their heads back the first time he came
[53:47]he opened the grave why so he could put the head of
[53:50]Imam al-hussein back with the body yes the body had been buried
[53:55]but there was no heads so he placed the head back with
[53:57]the body akarana happened a sort of Miracle what was it he
[54:03]heard a voice from the head what did the voice say all
[54:06]of you know the baby the baby placed the baby on my
[54:12]chest Allah the feeling of a father to his baby the baby
[54:19]the baby placed the baby on my chest then what and his
[54:26]neck placed his neck on my neck the baby the baby placed
[54:33]his head on my head place his neck on my neck then
[54:40]what did he say he said don't you know the heat of
[54:42]that Arrow bends me I'm gonna conclude with what I said earlier
[54:50]when she was in Carabella she would only cry for her baby
[54:56]and then in kufa only the baby and then in sham only
[54:58]the baby and then back in Carabella only the baby but when
[55:04]she returned to Medina there was only one a man in her
[55:11]head how can I cover myself from the Sun and my Imam
[55:14]lay their burns my eyes on raise your hands with the tears
[55:27]with these tears ask for your hijacks all of you now all
[55:29]of you have hijabs maybe with these tears ask Allah to forgive
[55:33]your sins tonight maybe there are certain sins that still hurt you
[55:38]in your life with the tear for the six month old baby
[55:42]I want you to remember yes Salaam pretty sexual of our infancy
[55:58]Allah give them peace and prosperity but especially to their mothers Ya
[56:03]Allah we pray to Allah to allow us to be of those
[56:08]who continuously perform tomorrow inshallah we will be blessed with all of
[56:14]you insha Allah join us in the recital of the maktal we
[56:17]pray to Allah
