[3:44]occupies a prominent position in the history of the religion of islam
[3:50]and indeed a prominent position in the life of the imams of
[3:54]ahlul bayt especially imam zain al abedin indeed you find this personality
[4:02]who was born in the first year after hijra and died in
[4:06]the sixty seventh year after until today occupies a polarized position in
[4:14]the eyes of many muqtaar has those who admire him and he
[4:18]has those who detest him there are those who look up to
[4:22]him and see him as one of the greatest heroes in the
[4:25]religion of islam and then there are those who label him a
[4:29]political opportunist a person who found a slogan after karbala which he
[4:35]utilized to the best of his own abilities indeed you find that
[4:41]in the last few years there has been a rehabilitation of the
[4:43]character of muqtara takafi when one saw muqtaqaan naam on the tv
[4:48]screens you found that many people became more attracted to this personality
[4:53]there were many who wanted to read more about him because in
[4:57]the eyes of many you find that any personality who emerges with
[5:01]the devotion seemingly that he had for the ahlul bayt is someone
[5:07]people want to read about at the end of the day many
[5:11]of us when we think about karbala always ask the question whatever
[5:15]happened to shimr bin al jawshan what happened to abu aydagh for
[5:20]example what happened to sinai bin anas what happened to the likes
[5:26]of zayd bin rakdad or hakim bin tufail and these personalities who
[5:32]had caused atrocities on the tenth of muharram many asked the question
[5:36]that after karbala what happened to these personalities for how long did
[5:40]they live and you find that always these personalities are most closely
[5:45]associated with who are most closely associated with muqtaar and the idea
[5:50]that muqtaar is often given the title of being the one who
[5:54]avenged karbala but you find in the same time there are marks
[5:58]concerning muqtaar's character there are some who say that muqtaar even viewed
[6:04]himself as a prophet of god others who for example say that
[6:09]muqtaar viewed himself as an imam others who for example come forward
[6:14]and say that muqtaar did not believe in the imam of imam
[6:17]zain al abideen alaihi salam that muqtaar was what was known as
[6:21]a kaysani and a person who believed in the imam of muhammad
[6:26]ibn al hanafiyah as in we know that imam alaihi salaam of
[6:30]his sons who was still alive after karbala was muhammad ibn al
[6:35]hanafiyah some believe that muqsar did not believe in the imam of
[6:41]imam zainul abidin rather he believed in the imam of muhammad ibn
[6:46]al hanafiyah and so when they look at muqtar al thakafi they
[6:50]say that it does not mean that muqtar is a shiai in
[6:54]the way that we understand shiism today muqtar is someone who may
[6:59]have been devoted to the family of the prophet peace be upon
[7:02]him but nothing more than that you cannot necessarily label him as
[7:08]a shia further than that they come forward and argue that what
[7:12]muqtaar did even after karbala while looking for shimr an ibn ziyad
[7:18]an omar bin saad an har malab ibn kahil the way that
[7:22]he killed these personalities or executed them or ordered for their execution
[7:28]is something quite gruesome because many times when you hear about the
[7:32]way these people died some of them were literally cooked alive literally
[7:37]placed in a frying pan or a big bowl and they were
[7:40]burnt alive others of them their arms were cut others had arrows
[7:46]showered upon them others had horses trample all over their bodies for
[7:51]some what muqtaar did was the act of a terrorist today if
[7:56]i hear for example a member of a terrorist group who comes
[8:01]and burns somebody or for example behead somebody or even comes forward
[8:08]and cooks somebody then you would say that this person is the
[8:13]worst of characters yet when it comes to muqta'r thakafi you find
[8:18]that there are people who say that you can't talk about him
[8:21]simply because he is associated with the imams or associated with the
[8:26]shia therefore there are many question marks concerning muqtaar al thakafi was
[8:31]muqtaar loyal to imams loyal to imam zain al abideen how was
[8:37]imam zain al abideen's interaction with muqtaar did they ever interact with
[8:42]each other were they distant from each other because we know that
[8:46]muqtaar was imprisoned twice and so being imprisoned twice means that there
[8:51]is always a question mark around him politically but for those who
[8:56]come and attack muqtaar al thakafi for example or any of the
[9:00]companions of the ahlul bayt there's a disclaimer that needs to be
[9:05]made before we enter the discussion the companions of the ahlul bayt
[9:10]they are not masoon they're not infallible when you look at a
[9:15]companion of an imam like for example ammar bin yasir or like
[9:21]hajjar bin adi or like muqtar thakafi you cannot use the lens
[9:26]of asma when looking at them these are in many cases personalities
[9:31]like you and me they have been blessed to be around the
[9:35]imams no doubt but somebody around a mahsoom doesn't necessarily mean that
[9:40]they will come out the best of characters there could be a
[9:44]prophet of allah subhanahu ta'ala and around him could be companions who
[9:49]are surah of the quran could be revealed called hypocrites there could
[9:54]be around the prophet of god people who question the prophet of
[9:57]god having somebody live next to an imam or meet an imam
[10:03]doesn't mean that that person is going to be somebody who lives
[10:07]a life without any mistakes whatsoever no on the contrary i could
[10:11]look at ammar bin yasir and find that there are certain mawakif
[10:15]or stands that ammar bin yasir had which may be open to
[10:18]question i could look at hajr bin adee i could look at
[10:22]for example muqtaar thakafi with an open lens but i'm not looking
[10:27]at a i'm looking at somebody who yes at times may have
[10:32]had doubts even in the imam may have had political opportunities which
[10:37]they may have gone for may have had certain questions which they
[10:41]felt were unanswered in the same way that me and you may
[10:46]go through a life where we have questions which we feel we're
[10:50]doubting about our religion where we for example have moments where we
[10:55]feel close to the imam of our time and then other moments
[10:59]where we may feel distant from the imam of our time exactly
[11:03]the same thing happens with the muqtaar if a person says for
[11:07]example that muqtaar found political opportunities haven't me and you found political
[11:12]opportunities are there not times when we may find that we may
[11:17]want to network with certain political figures at a certain point there
[11:21]may be times where we look at certain political opportunities as well
[11:25]so when a person looks at muqtaar al thakafi as if muqtaar
[11:29]al thakafi can do no wrong or as if muqtaar al thakafi
[11:33]is maasoom this is unfair i've always said the same about aqeel
[11:38]the brother of imam ali alaihi salam aqeel the brother of imam
[11:41]ali just because he's the brother of imam ali alaihi salam people
[11:46]look at him with a lens as if he could not make
[11:48]a mistake at the end of the day being the brother of
[11:52]imam ali alaihi salam does not mean that you are masoom and
[11:56]likewise being a companion of an imam doesn't mean you're infallible at
[12:01]all you may have question marks over your character and that's why
[12:05]when you look at our ulama from allam alhili may allah bless
[12:09]his song allam al majlisi all of them have had their difference
[12:17]of opinion on muqtaar al thakafi you found therefore that these ulama
[12:22]who for years have studied the biographies of the narrators they give
[12:27]different opinions related to muqtaar they look at different traditions on muqtaar
[12:31]and they scrutinize each of these traditions therefore tonight let's look at
[12:36]muqtaar al saqafi in order that we're able to understand the biography
[12:41]of this intriguing personality and i'd like to do this in the
[12:45]following stages number one the tribe that he came from how does
[12:50]it highlight to you that from one family you should never generalize
[12:54]everybody as being the same you could have the good the bad
[12:58]and the ugly number two how was his relationship with imam al
[13:02]hassan and were there any traditions about him from imam al hussain
[13:08]alaihi salam number three which cousin of imam al hussain alaihi salam
[13:13]stayed in the house of al muqtaar al thakafi and what does
[13:18]that highlight about muqtaar's allegiances at the time number four if he
[13:24]was loyal to ahlul bayt salawatallahu alaihihim then why was he not
[13:29]present at karbala number five having been released from prison which opportunities
[13:36]did he find were worthy of taking and which others did he
[13:40]decline number six what of the accusations that he called himself a
[13:45]prophet or that he was a qaysani number seven when he finally
[13:50]believed that he could seek vengeance for karbala was this something necessarily
[13:55]sanctioned by the imam of his time or not number eight who
[14:01]did he go after and how did he find omar ibn sa'ad
[14:05]and his son how did he find shimr ibn al jawshan how
[14:10]did ibrahim bin malik help him find ibn ziyad how did he
[14:14]find those who cut the rights and the left of abel fadl
[14:18]and who did he look for eventually who he knew in a
[14:22]way would give peace to imam zain al abideen let's examine this
[14:28]and dissect the topic in complete depth when you hear his name
[14:32]muqtar thakafi it highlights to you that he came from probably one
[14:37]of the most prominent tribes in arabia thaqif were a prominent tribe
[14:42]and they were owners of vast amounts of land in ta'if muqtar
[14:46]himself was quite wealthy he either had lots of farmland in the
[14:51]southern side of iraq what was known as the sawad or muqtar
[14:56]had a lot of land where in the land of taif taif
[15:01]originally had personalities who either loved islam or hated the religion of
[15:07]islam from taif you had ali al akbar's mother layla because who's
[15:12]layla layla is the daughter of abi mora the son of arawa
[15:19]ibn masud al thaqafi layla the mother of ali al akbar from
[15:24]one side is the granddaughter of abu sufyan as in some of
[15:28]these tribal allegiances are unbelievable who would have thought that layla the
[15:32]mother of ali al akbar from one side is the granddaughter of
[15:34]who abu sufyan because layla's mother maymunah is the daughter of abu
[15:39]sufyan that means muawiya is what is the maternal uncle of leila
[15:44]yazid is leila's first cousin so from one side leila is the
[15:50]granddaughter of abu sufyan from the other side layla is who layla
[15:54]is the daughter of abi mora son of arawa bin mas'udath taqafi
[15:58]arawa bin mas'udath taqafi was related not only to ali al akbar
[16:03]as his great grandfather but also to who also to muqtaar in
[16:08]which sense you find that this arabic he was probably in the
[16:14]hadith literature someone who was given the title of being amongst those
[16:21]who came to the call of rasoolallah sallallaho alaihi wa'alehi like mu'min
[16:25]al faraan and the mu'min of aliaseen came to the call of
[16:29]their prophets you know mu'min al faraan in the story of pharaoh
[16:32]there was a believer who helped nabi musa alaihi salaam that believer
[16:38]who helped nabi musa alaihi salaam was a person who came to
[16:42]the call of his prophet when he came to the call of
[16:45]his prophet when his prophet needed him the most you found that
[16:50]he knew it was danger but he came likewise the mu'min of
[16:53]aliaseen was someone who when the messengers had gone to the land
[16:58]of antioch when the quran mentions those messengers with arsalna ellahim uth
[17:03]naini two were sent to the land of antioch in the story
[17:10]of surat yaseen and you found that they were belied when they
[17:14]were belied you found that the third eventually came and the third
[17:19]came to call towards the people and when that third one came
[17:23]towards the call of the people who came and supported him from
[17:33]the furthest part of the city you found that a person came
[17:38]towards their support likewise this he came to the support of rasoolallah
[17:47]when he came towards the support when after the treaty of hudaybiyyah
[17:51]he came to support his holy prophet and actually converted after the
[17:57]treaty of hudaybiyyah so you found that this ibn mas'ud like mu'min
[18:02]was killed like the mu'min of ali aasin was killed so killed
[18:11]out of support for his prophet peace be upon him and his
[18:15]family so you had from banu taqif ottawa bin mas'udith taqabi great
[18:19]grandfather of ali al akbar here you have a tick but then
[18:23]you have others from banu taqif who had severe animosity to the
[18:27]holy prophet peace be upon him or his family mughir ibn shaaba
[18:31]banu thaqif for example later on you have hajjaj ibn yusuf from
[18:35]which tribe hajjaj ibn yusuf and saqafi so from one tribe you
[18:41]had either the best of the best or from one tribe you
[18:45]had those who had shown animosity towards either the prophet or towards
[18:50]the family of rasoolallah sallallaho alaihi wa'alehi muqtaar his father abu awaydah
[18:56]thakafi he was someone who was loyal according to narrations to the
[19:02]first and the second caliph that he had pledged his allegiance to
[19:07]the first caliph and to the second caliph and that he not
[19:11]only had pledged his allegiance but that he had fought for the
[19:15]caliphs as well meaning that he was there loyal for the second
[19:20]caliph as well at the same time you found that muqtar's uncle
[19:25]was also someone who was loyal to imam ali ibn abi talib
[19:30]alaihis salam so look you can have a father who may be
[19:33]loyal to the caliphs and you may have an uncle who's loyal
[19:37]to imam ali alaihis salam his uncle was the governor of madain
[19:41]for imam ali alaihis salam so from a young age you found
[19:46]that muqtar was already in a family who won very important political
[19:50]positions because remember no leader would want to have a bad relationship
[19:55]with taqif taqif you don't want to get on their wrong side
[19:59]if you get on their wrong side they'll come after you and
[20:02]so all the leaders would have a good relationship with taqif but
[20:06]muqtar's uncle in particular had a good relationship with imam ali alaihi
[20:11]salaam muqtar in his early years although at the age of 13
[20:16]he was known to have wanted to fought alongside or fight alongside
[20:19]his father and uncle found in his early years it's not very
[20:23]clear about his allegiances what really emerges is that here's a man
[20:28]who after imam ali alaihi salaam passes away has land in taif
[20:32]he has land in the sawad area farmland he stays away until
[20:37]we see him at the time of imam al hassan alaihi salaam
[20:40]at the time of imam al hassan alaihi salaam are certain companions
[20:45]around imam al hassan alaihi salaam who do not necessarily agree with
[20:50]imam al hassan making a sulh with muawiya even though these companions
[20:57]in some cases were the biggest lovers of imam al hassan alaihis
[21:00]salam but you found that in many cases there were some who
[21:04]couldn't understand why you're making peace with muawiya some even started to
[21:10]describe imam al hassan alaihis salam in a way where he is
[21:13]the one who has let down the mumineen he has embarrassed the
[21:17]mumineen there's a villa from imam al hassan alaihis salaam for the
[21:22]shia for making that treaty with muawiyah even though we know the
[21:27]same way rasulullah sallallaho alaihi wa'alehi made a treaty with the quraysh
[21:31]at khudaibiya likewise imam al hassan makes a treaty with muawiyah but
[21:36]around imam al hassan there are those who question his decision for
[21:40]example hujar ibn adeel kindi how much he loves imam alaihi alaihi
[21:45]salaam yet he has a major question mark on why imam al
[21:48]hassan is doing what he's doing there are others who maybe were
[21:52]a bit more loyal like hadi ibn hadamata'i but you found that
[21:56]there is differences of opinion some of the ulema say that no
[22:01]of the people who sought to protect imam al hassan alaihis salam
[22:07]when you know they stabbed imam al hassan they came and stabbed
[22:10]the imam who were the ones who protected him of them was
[22:13]muqtar al thakafi according to some that he stood for imam al
[22:17]hassan alaihis salam when some of imam al hassan's own army turned
[22:22]against the imam so imam al hassan had a relationship with muqtar
[22:27]al thakafi likewise imam al hussain alaihis salam ibn ta'was within his
[22:33]makhtal many of you would have read the luhuf it's the famous
[22:36]makhtal of ibn ta'was ibn ta'was mentions and narrates that imam al
[22:42]hussain alaihis salaam when he saw the people had deceived him they
[22:47]had let him down and they had as well tortured his followers
[22:52]he said a line in his dua what was the line allah
[23:01]put on them or for example make them be ruled over by
[23:06]who by the gulam of the khif this is in the luhuf
[23:11]of ibn ta'woos that imam al hussain actually read a dua you
[23:16]allah those who have deceived us and have lied against us and
[23:21]have ridiculed us and have ruined us let there be one who
[23:26]is from the tribe of ta'if who will be the one who
[23:31]rules over them of course some what did they try and do
[23:34]they tried and said that this is about hajjaj bin yusuf al
[23:38]thakafi that the people of kufa one day deserve a leader like
[23:42]hajjaj you know iraqis always will say to you something they'll say
[23:47]to you that us iraqis cannot be led by good humans we
[23:52]need to be led by who by hajjaj or by the other
[23:58]of the leaders of the ba'ath for example like saddam those are
[24:01]the type of people that iraq requires and some of them use
[24:06]this argument that even imam al hussain said allah hamassallah alaihihim wa
[24:11]laam the kief that imam al hussein even said that these people
[24:14]the people of iraq can only be ruled by a hajjaj or
[24:19]by a saddam if you bring them a leader who is soft
[24:23]with the people of iraq they will never ever accept his rule
[24:27]they'll walk all over him on the one hand it's true that
[24:30]to please an iraqi is an impossible task in life because in
[24:35]many cases an iraqi believes he's an expert in every field not
[24:39]just his own field if he for example may allah bless the
[24:43]soul of sheikh ahmed al wa'alehi when he famously said that the
[24:47]person's a doctor in chicken studies he's a doctor and studying dijaj
[24:51]and he's given you an opinion on every single area so what's
[24:55]your area and your expertise and i say this by the way
[24:58]with a soft heart because at the end of people i love
[25:01]them but you cannot deny that an iraqi even if he is
[25:04]a pharmacist believes he's a marja if he is a muhandis he
[25:09]believes he is a marja if he works for example in a
[25:12]fashion store he believes he is a marja if he works behind
[25:14]the camera he believes he is a marja so you found that
[25:17]on the one hand yes iraqis might be different but hajjaj and
[25:21]saddam give me a break as in what is this a killing
[25:24]field or human beings you're dealing with we've not gone to a
[25:27]slaughterhouse at the end a person can be a good leader without
[25:32]them having to terrorize and behead and torture and kill innocent lives
[25:38]the lives of scholars and others so you found that imam al
[25:41]hussain had he read this dua ibn tawwah says that he read
[25:45]the dua and mentioned specifically that let there be a ruler over
[25:50]him who the youth of the people of saqif or that person
[25:55]from the people of saqif and the biggest sign of credibility for
[26:00]muqtaar al saqafi and those who question every aspect of muqtaar's life
[26:05]is what is the fact that muslim bin aqeel stayed at muqtaar's
[26:10]residence muslim as we know was the cousin of imam al hussain
[26:15]and when muslim went towards the land of kufa who did he
[26:20]stay with muqtar's father-in-law was naaman ibn bashir and naaman ibn bashir
[26:26]was originally the governor of kufa before yazid woke up yazid at
[26:32]the time he thought naaman bin bashir could do a good job
[26:36]muqtaar's father-in-law was a naaman who stayed with muqtaar muslim bin aqeel
[26:43]muslim bin aqeel if muqtaar is a dodgy character why would muslim
[26:46]stay with him at the end of the day if muqtaar was
[26:50]not to be trusted muslim could have gone to hani ibn harwa
[26:54]or he could have gone to muslim ibn al sajjar or he
[26:56]could have gone to habib ibn madahar but who did he stay
[26:59]with he stayed with muqtaar as taqafi and this was a major
[27:03]sign of the credibility of muqtaar for muslim bin aqeel to stay
[27:07]with him eventually when ibn ziyad comes in remember ibn ziyad and
[27:12]yazid not necessarily the best of friends but they both knew how
[27:18]to use each other yazid knew that ibn ziyad had already a
[27:22]confrontation with muqtar from basra muqtar had been whipped a 100 times
[27:29]for speaking out for imam al hussein and amir al mumineen in
[27:34]basra by ibn ziyad he even had an injured eye because of
[27:38]ibn ziyad but ibn ziyad at the time was only in basra
[27:41]yazid ordered that ibn ziyad is to be made governor of where
[27:47]made governor of kufa and so when ibn ziyad becomes governor of
[27:51]kufa he asked naaman looks for muslim and aqeel looks for the
[27:55]other shia including muqtar al saqafi when he finds muqtaar what does
[28:00]he do now remember when is this this is shortly before karbala
[28:04]and muharram muqtaar is imprisoned who's imprisoned with him imagine karbala if
[28:15]muqtar was at karbala and wasn't in prison or for example was
[28:21]at karbala and was not at prison what a difference some things
[28:26]could have been one may argue had the likes of han ibn
[28:30]urwa been there and the other thousands of kufa who were killed
[28:33]by ibn syad so yahad muqtar who was he imprisoned with mathem
[28:37]mathem tells him glad tidings to you oh muqtar and he says
[28:42]to him why he said because you will avenge the killing of
[28:46]the grandson of rasulallah sallallaho alaihi wa'alehi muqtaar at the time this
[28:51]is before karbala imagine you're thinking to yourself what do mean killing
[28:54]of the grandson what's going to happen maytham says that it's been
[28:58]prophesied and i have sat with the ahlul bayt when they have
[29:02]mentioned your name that they said that muqtaar al thakafi will be
[29:07]the one who avenges what happens to imam al hussain lo and
[29:13]behold after maitham i tamar had been executed muqtaar looking at the
[29:19]heads because you know what they made the prisoners do they made
[29:21]the prisoners look at the heads on the spears to show them
[29:25]because bani umayyah the roab or the fear that they would instill
[29:29]and i want you to take note of this this is a
[29:32]very delicate point bani umayyah would go to no limits there would
[29:37]be no limits for them when they captured an enemy of theirs
[29:42]if they had to make horses go all over and trample all
[29:46]over someone's body they would do it if they had to get
[29:49]ahead and place it on a spear they would do it if
[29:53]they had to parade ladies in the streets of kufa they would
[29:56]do it if they had to whip children literally three four year
[30:00]olds they would do it if they had to chain you from
[30:03]neck to neck one child to an adult they would do it
[30:08]so what bani umayyah did those who were imprisoned like muqtar they
[30:13]made them see the heads as the heads went past the prison
[30:17]in kufa muqtar was there he saw the heads he saw the
[30:22]head of imam al hussain placed on a spear with the likes
[30:27]of umar bin saad laughing at the head of the imam placed
[30:32]on a spear umar bin saad was with huallah bin yazid al
[30:37]asbahi and sinan bin anas and they were all together carrying the
[30:43]heads walking past the prison and muqtaar was in the prison and
[30:47]muqtaar makes a statement that i'm going to come out and i'll
[30:49]look for all of you one by one i'll find you and
[30:52]i tell you this line alone of devotion to ahlul bayt whether
[30:57]he was the best character in the world whether he had mistakes
[31:00]or not that devotion at the end according to certain traditions is
[31:05]what gains him shafaa on the day of judgment irrespective of sometimes
[31:10]his changing political fortunes and being politically opportunistic just that devotion that
[31:17]how could they parade the son of fatima al zahra's head around
[31:20]the streets like this and how could they parade the daughters of
[31:24]rasoolallah sallallaho alaihi wa'alehi sukain and ruqaiyah how old were these daughters
[31:29]honestly and the other daughters and the other children from the family
[31:33]of aqeel for example and others like hassan al muthena parading them
[31:38]like that muqtaar al thakafi could not wait for the day that
[31:42]he would be released how did he get released muqtaar was fortunate
[31:46]who was his sister she was the wife of abdullah the son
[31:50]of umar ibn al khattab and therefore his brother-in-law found a way
[31:55]to get him amnesty because you know who his brother in laws
[31:58]are from one side umar ibn sa'ad from the other side abdullah
[32:02]ibn umar ibn al khattab so you see the fatifis how they're
[32:05]related to everybody he was released when he was released he was
[32:10]given a condition that you will be taken back into prisons on
[32:14]the condition that you come out and fight if you for example
[32:19]stay away from fighting we won't put you back in prison but
[32:22]if you for example are of those who tries to revolutionize or
[32:26]tries to rally the troops or the masses then we'll put you
[32:30]back so what does muqtar do muqtar tries to stay away but
[32:34]there are opportunities for him for example the tawabun who were led
[32:38]by sulaiman bin surah al khuzai they tried to gain vengeance for
[32:42]karbala if you see the word tawba it means those who seek
[32:46]penitence or repentance they felt guilty that they were not at karbala
[32:51]four years after karbala the tawabun tried to rally in a revolution
[32:57]against who against ibn ziyad there was no way that they were
[33:01]going to win ibn ziyad had a great army but the tawabun
[33:05]tried their hardest from every single angle and you found that they
[33:10]were all killed muqsar could have joined them according to one narration
[33:14]muqsar was in prison according to another narration muqsar felt that this
[33:19]was not an opportunity that would result in victory he felt that
[33:24]this was damned to defeat and so he deserted and he decided
[33:28]as well at the same time that i will not continue with
[33:32]this particular army then likewise with abdullah ibn subair abdullah ibn subair
[33:38]wanted to fight the umayyads muqtar thakafi one may argue also found
[33:44]an opportunity and the opportunity was what that let me join abdullah
[33:49]ibn zubair in fighting the umayyads so was muqtar politically opportunistic yes
[33:55]he was you cannot deny that i could say that if we
[33:59]were to look at the companions of the imam there are some
[34:04]who definitely took political opportunities as in people question muqtar for example
[34:09]that how could he work with musa ibn zubair and abdullah ibn
[34:13]zubair and others i could ask the same question concerning companions such
[34:17]as tambar was not at karbala qumayl ibn ziyad was not at
[34:22]karbala sa'id ibn jubair was not at karbala adeeb ibn hatamatai was
[34:28]not at karbala ask anyone about these companions you find that these
[34:33]companions were not present at karbala yet how many people when you
[34:37]mention where was he at karbala why was he not at karbala
[34:43]qumal bin ziyad dua qumal every thursday night we recite dua qumal
[34:48]why was he not at karbala sa'id ibn jubair how much is
[34:53]admired why was he not at karbala where was he where was
[34:57]for example others of the companions of the imams adeeb ibn hatmatai
[35:02]not at karbala a lot of these were killed by hajjaj ibn
[35:06]yusuf why were they not at karbala if people are going to
[35:10]question muqtaar's character then we also have to ask about those who
[35:14]didn't even join imam al hussain alaihis salam at karbala but we
[35:19]recognize that each person has his role some people have it in
[35:23]a more dangerous situation some have a context which is easier some
[35:27]have a context which is a lot more difficult so when you
[35:30]came to muqtar therefore you found that muqtar al thakafi the first
[35:34]question was that muqtar al thakafi was he a qaysani someone says
[35:38]what's a qaysani qaysani are those who believe that muhammad ibn al
[35:44]hanafiyah was the imam of the time not imam zain al abideen
[35:48]the qaysanis they say that muhtar thakafi was the one who originated
[35:54]the kaysanis why because when muqtaar was younger imam ali patted the
[36:01]head of muqtaar and said and so they said that this same
[36:08]man believed that muhammad ibn al hanafiyah was the imam of his
[36:12]time and then muhammad ibn al hanafiyah son of imam ali was
[36:16]also saying that i'm the imam of your time we for example
[36:21]look at these yes there may be question marks about muqtaar's allegiance
[36:26]with muhammad ibn al hanafiyyah could be there but also kaiz doesn't
[36:29]mean that you're a person who's gonna start a political movement kaes
[36:34]could refer to the fact that you're an aqel for example you're
[36:37]a person who is someone who is seen as having some intellect
[36:42]some sort of wisdom not necessarily someone who starts the whole movement
[36:46]secondly when some people realized that muhammad ibn al hanafiyah was the
[36:52]one who was being called the imam of the time we have
[36:55]the narration that muhammad ibn al hanafiyah and imam zain al abideen
[36:59]both go to hajar al aswad when they go to hajar al
[37:02]aswad in this famous incident they go there people were saying that
[37:06]muhammad ibn al hanafiyah is the imam others were saying that imam
[37:11]zain al abideen al alaihi salam was the imam this is shortly
[37:14]after karbala by the way people were saying that imam zainabn is
[37:18]the imam others were saying muhammad ibn hanafiyah they went to hajjar
[37:21]al why did they go to hajjar al aswad because they wanted
[37:25]to make clear to the people whoever hajjar al aswad replies to
[37:29]is no doubt the imam of the time you got to be
[37:33]pretty brave to take that challenge on going towards hajar al aswad
[37:36]and saying asalaamu alaikum to hajar al aswad and expecting a reply
[37:41]when muhammad ibn al hanafiyah went towards hajar al aswad he came
[37:46]he said his salaams no reply when imam zain al abideen alaihis
[37:51]salaam goes towards hajar al aswad and says his salaams there's a
[37:55]reply which is what salaam comes that salaams to you oh hujjah
[38:04]of allah on the earth that you are the hujjah of allah
[38:08]on this earth from there it was made clear that those who
[38:12]are saying that muhammad ibn al hanafiyah is the imam of the
[38:16]time no hajar al aswad replies to imam zain al abideen and
[38:20]truly later on when you see farazdak and the poetry that he
[38:24]has about imam zainul abdeen highlighting that the kaaba and all the
[38:28]stones on this earth everything knows al muhammad all know their position
[38:33]so muqtaar al thakafi on the first level this accusation was put
[38:37]forward yes there may have been a time that muqsar may have
[38:40]had question marks about imam zain al abideen or about the imam
[38:44]but then he comes towards the imam others said that muqsar said
[38:48]he's a nebbi he's actually a prophet why because he said i
[38:52]speak to jibrael and jibrael speaks to me muqtar had a servant
[38:56]called jibrael so when he would speak to his servant or he
[39:00]would say that jibrael just said to me people will be like
[39:03]look at this muqtaar he says he's a nabi or rasul because
[39:07]jibrail speaks to him no jibrail is his qadim and so when
[39:11]he'd speak to the qadim he'll be like jibrail today told me
[39:14]and so when people would hear this they like you see this
[39:16]muqtaar this muqtaar is somebody who actually believes that he is a
[39:22]prophet when his servant would say something to him he'd say my
[39:26]servant jibrael today came and said this to me so therefore even
[39:29]that accusation others said that imam zain al abideen rejected the gifts
[39:35]that muqtaar gave him muqtaar would send money to imam zain al
[39:40]abideen and would send gifts to imam zain al abideen and we
[39:44]have hadiths that not only does the imam call him a liar
[39:48]but that the imam rejects the gifts that muqtar sends him and
[39:54]so how do we reply to these firstly if i'm someone who
[39:57]went looking for the umayyad generals i don't think many of the
[40:02]hadith narrators are gonna write good things about me because history is
[40:07]his story it's written by the victors the victors or those who
[40:12]come into power are not going to praise the personality who went
[40:15]looking for the generals of that empire they're going to try and
[40:19]give the worst image to this personality as in zubair bin bakr
[40:24]or al madani when they put down muqtaar al taqafi why should
[40:28]i trust these people when they're writing about muqtaar at the end
[40:31]for them muqtaar is someone who politically was against them so on
[40:36]the first level who's narrating these hadiths about muqtaar that's number one
[40:41]number two those who say that imam rejected what came from muqtaar
[40:45]okay imam rejecting what comes from muqtaar at the end imam has
[40:50]eyes of bani ummayah on his house do we agree as in
[40:53]did imam zain al abideen did he live freely under bani ummayah
[40:58]allah yazid made it clear to him that if you don't even
[41:02]think about pledging allegiance to me i'll kill you like i've killed
[41:07]others when an imam has a ruler like yazid or like marwan
[41:11]ibn hakam the imam cannot all of a sudden show who he
[41:15]accepts and who he rejects he cannot turn around and say that
[41:20]mughtaqaqabi is my best friend especially knowing that muqsaar al thakafi has
[41:25]a history of being in the prisons of kufa or the prison
[41:28]of basra of ibn syad therefore when imam zainul abideen rejects a
[41:33]gift it's like for example today you'll find even certain people you
[41:37]want to go and sit with them he says i don't want
[41:38]you to sit next to me why because you have certain political
[41:41]opinions that if us two are together in a photo it's not
[41:45]going to look good likewise with imam it's a situation where politically
[41:50]it was not easy on the third level there is evidence that
[41:54]imam even accepted gifts from muqtaar someone says where imam zain al
[42:00]abideen who was it that rebuilt the houses of the family of
[42:04]aqeel the son of abu talib muqtaar thaqafi would send money and
[42:09]they would rebuild the homes after karbala who rebuilt the homes who
[42:14]was it that paid the mahar for imam zain al abideen marriage
[42:21]this is a major question because you find that in our narrations
[42:26]imam zain al abideen imam al baqar and imam as saddiq have
[42:30]done tarahum or have said may allah bless the soul or may
[42:34]allah have mercy on muqtaar the first of them imam zain al
[42:38]abideen alaihis salam may allah have mercy on the soul of muqtar
[42:49]for he avenged he took our vengeance and took back that blood
[42:55]that was taken from us that's from who from imam zain al
[42:59]abideen if imam zain al abideen is saying rahim allah al muqtaar
[43:03]then imam al baqar alaihis salam hearing that there are people who
[43:08]are cursing muqtaar who are saying he's a liar he's treacherous he's
[43:13]deceitful he said listen to this line do not abuse muqtaar why
[43:22]for he has killed those who have killed us when taqa malana
[43:30]i'm an ajuwina and he has taken vengeance for us from our
[43:34]enemies one day a person asks the imam imam zainul abdi alaihis
[43:39]salaam he says to him that should people rise with muqtar thakafi
[43:45]and the imam turns around and says even if there is someone
[43:49]from the zanj today we have zanzibar zanjibar from the zanjibar let's
[43:54]say of the black africans someone was to rise from them calling
[44:00]for the rights of our household even those you should go alongside
[44:05]alongside can anything be more clear than that and that's a person
[44:08]from the furthest part you know sometimes you hear people say certain
[44:13]names of countries or cities say for example seek knowledge even if
[44:17]you have to go as far as china or if someone rises
[44:22]from zanzibar this is showing you that whichever part of the world
[44:25]a person who emerges and says to you that i am rising
[44:31]for the devotion for the household of al muhammed try and support
[44:35]that person yes you may have hypocrites like the abbasids who used
[44:40]to look after their own interests or you may have someone like
[44:45]muqtar thakafi imam al baqar alaihis salam said muqtaar paid for the
[44:50]mahar of my father's marriage who paid for the mahar for my
[44:55]mother he mentions here imam al baqar mentions imam al baqir alaihis
[45:02]salam when muqtaar's son hakam comes in he comes in to visit
[45:07]the imam and when he comes in to visit the imam ibn
[45:12]sharik is the one who mentions this he says when he came
[45:15]in to visit the imam the imam asked who is this because
[45:18]he tried to kiss the hand of the imam and they said
[45:21]this is muqtaar al thakafi's son he said the imam took him
[45:25]even though he was at a distance he took him and made
[45:27]him sit in front of him he said may allah bless the
[45:31]soul of your father for your father avenge what's happened to us
[45:37]and the narration continues with imam asadaq alaihi salaam where imam asadaq
[45:41]says about muqtaar he says the ladies of al muhammad did not
[45:45]let out their hair did not show any happiness until muqtaar avenged
[45:50]what happened at karbala someone says okay sayyidna you have some ahadeeth
[45:55]which are saying liar prophet treacherous other ahadith may allah have mercy
[46:01]how do we reconcile this when we have these two opposing ahadith
[46:07]on the one level it could be a case that muqtar peaks
[46:10]and troughs there are times you find a muqtaar full of faith
[46:14]there are times you find a muqtaar who's more political at the
[46:17]end of the day like any human being he may have his
[46:19]doubts he may have his mistakes but you cannot deny that there
[46:24]was some devotion to ahlul bates how many of us would have
[46:30]the honor that's five years after karbala we're able to find each
[46:35]of the perpetrators of the crimes of the tenth of muharram muharram
[46:38]believe you me there is a hadith which talks of the fact
[46:42]that on the day of judgment the intercession for muqtaar is questionable
[46:49]until imam al hussain steps in just because muqtaar sought vengeance for
[46:56]those who had killed the children of rasulallah sallallaho alaihi wa'alehi because
[47:02]muqtaar truly went after them one by one he went looking for
[47:08]them and he had a team himself ibrahim the son of malik
[47:12]al ashtar abdullah the son of kamil abu amra and this team
[47:17]by the way was not just arabs wasn't just iraqis it was
[47:21]made up of persians and made up of people of different nationalities
[47:25]and they all came together and they wanted to find them one
[47:29]by one many of our people ask me how do we know
[47:32]about what took place at karbala and kufa and sham if it's
[47:36]true or not and one of the answers is what is muqtaar
[47:40]al thakafi because muqtaar caught these personalities who were perpetrators of the
[47:46]crimes of the tenth of muharram question when he caught these some
[47:51]people say that he was too gruesome firstly if muqtaar was gruesome
[47:56]muqtaar doesn't represent my theology muqtaar is not my iman muqtaar is
[48:01]not maasooom if he makes mistakes or has gone to extreme this
[48:04]is not something that represents me if that's literally what's happened that
[48:09]that is not something that represents me secondly bani umayyah the same
[48:14]way that they would behead and put heads on spears to cause
[48:18]fear that you cannot mess with us the same way zayd the
[48:23]son of imam zain al abidin you know what they did to
[48:25]him they hung him on a tree for a few weeks imagine
[48:29]you hang a naked body on a tree for a few weeks
[48:33]the same way bani umayyah why did they do this why would
[48:36]they put heads on spears why would they leave someone naked on
[48:39]a tree to instill fear in you that if you mess with
[48:43]us this what happens when muqtar therefore cuts limbs or when muqtaar
[48:48]therefore orders foreheads to be chopped maybe muqtaar is replying backward the
[48:53]same by saying what by saying that in the same way you
[48:57]are telling the people that you can never mess with us here
[49:01]we are and there is a group of us who's ready to
[49:04]rise against you number three the quran when someone says that how
[49:09]could muqtar crucify behead amputate quran those who fight allah and his
[49:24]prophet and cause facade on the earth what happens to them cause
[49:30]there are many who will say that you should never go this
[49:32]extreme let's see what the quran says the quran says number one
[49:41]oh what oh number two or not just kill not just crucify
[49:53]you amputate their arms and you amputate their legs or you banish
[50:00]them from the earth some people when they look at muqtaar they're
[50:03]like here's the eye of the quran eye of the quran yes
[50:07]he may have taken it in his own hands i cannot disagree
[50:10]maybe he's taken it and he doesn't represent me he's not my
[50:13]imam he may have gone too extreme but if you're looking for
[50:16]ayahs of the quran and the quran says those who fight allah
[50:20]and his prophets i ask you is not fighting imam al hussain
[50:24]the same as fighting rasulullah is not fighting imam zain al abideen
[50:29]the same as fighting rasulullah so when bukhtar does this there's an
[50:35]ayah in surah five verse 33 that those who fight allah and
[50:40]his prophet this is what happens to them we can tell the
[50:43]whole world islam is a religion of peace reality is when you're
[50:47]fighting bani umayyah and bani abbas when you're fighting them it's a
[50:51]different story altogether you cannot come to them and say you know
[50:55]what i just simply want to be peaceful with you those people
[50:58]instill fear the same way you need to turn around further than
[51:03]that when he caught who he caught who did he catch did
[51:07]he just pick anyone from the street and say you know what
[51:10]trample on his body or did he just pick anyone from the
[51:13]street who was a good human not at all look at who
[51:16]he caught the first who he caught were 10 horse riders these
[51:23]10 were horse riders al zahid says that we asked them what
[51:30]is your lineage they didn't even know their lineage sons of adultery
[51:35]don't know their background he said we asked them what did you
[51:38]do on the tenth of muharram and they replied that on the
[51:42]tenth of muharram after imam al hussain alaihi salaam had been killed
[51:48]umar bin sa'ad turned around to all of us 10 and he
[51:52]looked at us he said sharpen the hooves of your horses sharpen
[51:57]the hooves of your horses to do what they said we went
[52:02]and sharpened the hooves of the horses and then we rode our
[52:06]horses and we heard him say youkhail allah o horses of allah
[52:12]o horse riders ride the horses of allah and trample on the
[52:17]body of hussain alaihi salaam as we read in the ziyara that
[52:25]these horses with their hooves dug deep into your body you found
[52:30]that muqtaar caught these 10 what did he do he said lay
[52:34]them all on the ground let them all lie on the ground
[52:37]get the horses let the horses trample all over them if in
[52:41]islam we believe an eye for an eye if you believe in
[52:46]retaliation and qasas then at that level is a level of qasas
[52:50]yes some say then he took their bodies and put them in
[52:53]a pot and burned them if we were to say these are
[52:55]true all these narrations yes that might be something extreme but who
[53:00]did he get those 10 horse riders then who else did he
[53:03]get he caught a person by the name of mora ibn munqad
[53:07]al abdi who's this man this is the man who chopped ali
[53:11]al akbar's body when he lay on the ground yes we always
[53:15]hear in the makatil that there was a man who said that
[53:18]i'll finish hussein by finishing his son off this murrah the son
[53:23]of munqad al abdi where was he he went and ran away
[53:26]to basra after karbala and people thought that this person could get
[53:31]away with what's happened what took place then you found with him
[53:36]that muqtar zakafi went after him to basra do you know how
[53:39]old this man was this man was 60 years old i ask
[53:42]you ali al akbar how old was he at karbala really you
[53:47]60 year old and you think that you can get away with
[53:49]it as well muqtar said go and get this man they caught
[53:53]him and they took him beheaded him and boiled his body then
[53:58]you had who else did muqtar go for he went for hakim
[54:02]muntofael who was hakim muntofael hakim muntofael was the man who cut
[54:07]off the right arm of abel fadl muqtar i'th taqafi caught him
[54:11]these are the worst criminals you can get we're not talking randoms
[54:16]and not just the worst criminals arrogant criminals they were proud of
[54:20]what they had done he caught hakim you cut off the right
[54:24]arm of abel fad remember muqtar was not at karbala so he
[54:28]doesn't know exactly the details so what does he do he catches
[54:31]them court case tell me what you did i'm the one who
[54:35]cut off the right eye of abbas he had water in his
[54:38]hands and he was trying to return back to his tent his
[54:41]children were screaming all atash all aparsh saw him and i knew
[54:46]if you get rid of abbas you finish him so he said
[54:50]so what did you do so he goes i chopped off the
[54:51]right arm and i heard him say we hear these lines and
[55:05]people say sayyidna how do you people know where these lines are
[55:08]from because after karbala we caught the very people who were there
[55:12]muqtaar had caught them who else did he catch zayd ibn rakkad
[55:16]who's zayd ibn rakkad he is the one who cut the left
[55:20]arm of abel falk and again he is the one who said
[55:23]that when we cut the left arm of abel falk we heard
[55:27]him call out which lines so these lines we have hakim the
[55:46]son of tafael who else did muqtar catch ibrahim bin malik al
[55:50]ashtar he managed to catch ibn ziyad they caught ibn ziyad they
[55:55]executed ibn ziyad as well who else did they find they found
[56:01]the three that were responsible for the beheading of imam al hussain
[56:05]which three the three that history can never forget because when you
[56:12]came to the final moments of imam al hussain when you came
[56:17]to the final moments what do you find you find that of
[56:20]those final moments there are three names you had shimr bin dal
[56:25]joshan huallah bin yazid al asbahi was the one who went down
[56:31]to try remove the head of abba abdullah you found it was
[56:36]shimr bin dal joshan who finished the head of imam al hussain
[56:40]and took it out sinaan bin anas and who was the one
[56:45]who paraded the head of imam al hussain khuli they're the ones
[56:52]who took the heads that khuli had hidden in his house do
[56:55]you know how he hid from muqtar how did he hide from
[56:58]muqtar he hid in his bathroom and he put a bag on
[57:04]his head knowing muqtaar was outside his wife hated him why because
[57:11]his wife remembered when he had bought the head of imam al
[57:15]hussein and placed it in their oven at home his wife all
[57:19]these years had waited for a day in which this tyrannical husband
[57:24]of hers would be caught and never did that husband ever have
[57:27]any regret for what he had done when muqtar came in they
[57:32]caught him they killed him as well they caught shimr bin al
[57:35]joshan in his underwear years after karbala they caught him they executed
[57:41]him i must say that sometimes there is a proof that some
[57:45]of these actions may not have been approved by muqtar senan bin
[57:49]anas how was he caught senan was caught but was not killed
[57:53]the people found out that senan bin anas was in the house
[57:56]so you know what the people did of the community it wasn't
[57:59]muqtar the people said that's the man who cut the head of
[58:04]the son of fatima they said yes they entered the house they
[58:07]had this big bowl of frying pan big area which you cook
[58:11]with they took him they placed him in there and they literally
[58:14]cooked him and burnt him alive such things we may not necessarily
[58:18]accept but you found that how much hurt were the people hurt
[58:22]by karbala and by what had happened afterwards who else did he
[58:26]catch umar bin sa'ad and his son hafs hafs and his father
[58:32]muqtariqtafi caught him and caught the son and beheaded the both of
[58:37]them for the crime do you think these two are regretful of
[58:40]what they did at karbala not at all not one bit of
[58:43]regret if there was some regret or saying that i seek forgiveness
[58:47]i was wrong i'm sorry then someone might say that you know
[58:51]what at the end the quran says forgive people they've done wrong
[58:55]not even a regret hafs when he found out his father umar
[58:59]had been killed he said what is good for life now that
[59:01]my father's died what's the point of living anymore and muqtaar killed
[59:06]him there and then but of all of the ones who muqtaar
[59:11]caught of all of them one in particular was the one who
[59:16]gave him the most happiness that he caught him because he had
[59:20]heard from imam zain al abideen how much the arrow from that
[59:24]particular one had hurt ahlul bayt salaam sallam wa alaihim il minhal
[59:31]narrates al minhal narrates he says i entered upon imam zain al
[59:35]abideen when he was in mecca when i entered upon him the
[59:40]imam looked at me he said to me what is the news
[59:45]of haram al abideen imagine imam zain al abidin asks what is
[59:50]the news of haram al abidin what do we hear about him
[59:56]he said he's still alive moment imam said oh allah let him
[60:03]taste what let him taste the heat of the fire yes and
[60:10]not just haranar har al hadid as well the heat of that
[60:15]metal as well which metal because when they took the neck of
[60:19]the baby that arrow that they used was an arrow that you
[60:23]cut the neck of a camel with i ask you my dear
[60:26]brothers and sisters wherever you may be in the world those of
[60:30]you especially who have children how delicate is the neck of a
[60:34]child number one how delicate is the neck of a baby but
[60:39]number two a camel you use an arrow for a camel a
[60:42]camel can contain thirst for a long time that baby had been
[60:47]without water for a certain period of time so imam zayn al
[60:51]abidin alaihi salam says to minhal what's the news he says to
[60:56]him he's still alive minnahal says i went to kufa he says
[61:01]when i entered kufa at the moment that i entered i saw
[61:06]everybody i asked where is muqtar thakafi what is he doing tell
[61:11]us they said to him that muqtaar thakafi has just caught har
[61:16]malabin kahil he has just caught who har malabin kahil that moment
[61:25]in minhal said i went to sahat kunasa sahat kunasa was a
[61:29]place where people would gather where people would be executed he said
[61:34]i went towards there and i saw the court case of harmal
[61:38]ibn kahil many times people ask us how do we know what
[61:42]took place again here is an example when muqtaar was in front
[61:48]of haram al ibn kahil he had asked him a number of
[61:52]questions and these questions would be questions that we remember until today
[61:57]what did he ask him he asked him about what happened on
[62:01]the tenth of muharram he answered him one by one i'll come
[62:04]to each answer shortly but after having executed him you found that
[62:09]muqtar saw il minhal he looked at him having heard that muqtar
[62:15]had killed harmal and had executed him at that moment minhal looked
[62:20]and he said subhanallah and looked at him he said subhanallah is
[62:25]normally a good thing to say but why do you say it
[62:29]he said because i was just with imam zain al abideen and
[62:34]when he asked me he asked me about in particular when he
[62:39]asked me i then saw him read the dua o allah let
[62:43]him taste the fire let him taste the metrol i've just seen
[62:48]the dua accepted went down in sujood thanking allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
[62:55]that he had been mentioned in the dua of the imam when
[62:59]al minhal told imam zain al abideen this definitely brought happiness towards
[63:06]the imam that hanuman ibn kahil had finally been avenged but when
[63:11]he what's an what he had done it had broken the heart
[63:15]of imam zainul abidin why because muqtariq asked the questions he said
[63:23]to him on the tenth of muharram how many arrows did you
[63:27]shoot the reply came that i shot four arrows on the tenth
[63:33]of muharram these four whenever we hear about them they break our
[63:37]hearts yes what was the four arrows he said the first arrow
[63:42]i shot on the right eye of abel fadlil abbas when he
[63:47]had lost his right and his left arm abel fadl had lost
[63:51]his right arm he had lost his left arm he was on
[63:55]the horse he says that i saw that he was trying to
[63:59]return back towards the tent then all of a sudden when he
[64:03]was returning i shot his right eye he said normally when someone
[64:08]falls from their horse they fall with their arms in front of
[64:12]them except abbas when he fell from his horse he had no
[64:17]arms to support him he then looked at him he said to
[64:21]him how about the second arrow he said to him the second
[64:24]arrow i shot on abdullah the son of imam al hassan alaihi
[64:29]salam imam al hussein was lying on the ground he looked like
[64:34]a hedgehog from the amount of arrows on his body says that
[64:38]at that moment he we were about to shoot his heart i
[64:42]saw this young boy running out of the tent and i saw
[64:45]his auntie zaynab calling him come back come back to me he
[64:50]said i saw him turn around to his aunt and he said
[64:54]oh my auntie how can i come back and my uncle abadilah
[65:00]is alone where he is so he says i saw him sit
[65:03]by his uncle he looked towards his uncle he smiled at his
[65:07]uncle at that moment someone came towards him and killed him after
[65:12]i had shot him that was the second arrow how about the
[65:16]third arrow this one i leave with you imagine when imam says
[65:21]this one hurt us the most how much did it hurt them
[65:24]he said the third arrow i shot on the neck of the
[65:30]six month old baby he said the moment i shot him he
[65:35]flapped his hands like a bird flaps its wings said i saw
[65:41]abba abidullah carry the blood from under the neck of his baby
[65:46]he said then after that i saw hussein return to his tent
[65:51]and come back and return and come back we called out hussein
[65:56]what's wrong with you why don't you return he said i don't
[65:59]know how to tell her mother that her baby's neck has been
[66:03]cut in half imam zayl al habdin no doubt the baby remained
[66:08]in his conscience forever that was his baby brother that he kept
[66:12]on thinking about and that's why it's no surprise when imam zayn
[66:17]al abideen returned the head of ababa towards his body when he
[66:23]returned the head towards the body allah subhanahu wa ta'ala there was
[66:27]a karamah for imam al hussain what was it karamah was that
[66:31]he spoke when the head returned back to the body and what
[66:35]did he say all of you have heard these lines the baby
[66:39]the baby placed the baby on my chest and his neck his
[66:45]neck place his neck on my neck don't you know my son
[66:52]ali don't you know that the heat of that arrow hurts us
[66:56]until today my dear brothers and sisters raise your hands wherever you
[67:15]may be you allah raise us with muhammad and al muhammad allow
[67:19]us to receive the intercession of imam zain al habideen allow us
[67:25]the ziyara to jannah to allah allow us to be next to
[67:28]his grave for the originators of this majlisi allah bless them with
[67:33]the intercession of muhammad and al muhammad in honor of our grand
[67:38]merger may allah bless his soul and his beloved sons may allah
[67:43]subhanahu wa ta'ala bless them and allow them to receive the intercession
[67:47]of imam zain al abideen we pray to allah subhanahu wa ta'ala
[67:51]in their honor and the honor of all of our marhumin but
[67:57]before it wherever you may be the loudest of your salawat
