يا سايگ اظعون المعازيب النشامه

Ô caravan driver of the bravest Family

حافظكم الله ويا عسى درب السلامه

May Allah protect you on your journey

يمتى تجي هالظعينه .. ويرجعلي شيخ المدينه .. درب السلامه

When will this convoy come … when will the Sheikh of the city return to me .. return safely

1/ هونك يحادي النوگ بظعون الهواشم

Drive the camels slowly, this is Mohammed’s family

خبّرني يمتى يعود سلطان المكارم

When will the Sultan of honor return

خبّرني عن يوم اليرد شنهي العلايم

Tell me when he will return and what are the signs of his return

يرجعلي وي كل عزوته لو بس فواطم

Will he return with all his family, or only the ladies of Fatimah

دام إبني العباس كافل للعقيله

As long as the sons of Imam Alabas takes care of Zainab
آنه كفيله اهنا أبگى ويه العليله

I will stay here to take care of lady Fatima and cry with her

أم البنين او بنيني .. فدوه وإمامي يجيني .. درب السلامه

Lady Oum Albaneen and my children … we sacrifice our lives for Imam Hussein .. we only want him to return safely.

2/ أگضي العمر حسبات والمدمع اصبَّه

2/ I spend my life thinking and crying

حسبة دليلي اتگول يرجعلي الأحبّه

A feeling in my heart tells me that the person I love will come back

وحسبه يحادي من خبر مكتوب كِتبَه

I thought there was news from the convoy commander

لازم يحجّ ابن النبي وأشلاءَه كعبه

The son of prophet Mohammed must preform pilgrimage with his dismembered body parts

لازم يحجّ اويه الغوالب حج منيّه

He must perform his last pilgrimage with the other oppressed
ولا قدر الله ايكون بارض الغاضريه

May Allah forbid , he is not in the land of Karbala

خايف دليلي عليهم .. ادعو يحل بين أيديهم .. درب السلامه

I fear from my heart for them .. and I wish him … to return safely

3/ هذا الذي مكتوب ما يرحم زماني

3/ This fate is inexorable

لو تنگطع لاخبار اتوجّس وأعانِي

I suffer when I receive no news

اغراب العليله لو إجه وصگني وعماني

If a crow comes home, my eyes are blinded

ما راح أصدگ هالخبر وأبقى أتاني

I will not believe any news and I will keep waiting

رِدهم يحادي بالعجل أَخّرْ سفرهم

Bring them back to us , don't let them travel

خوفي من (القاروره) يتحتّم قدرهم

My fear ( the bottle will be filled with blood ) it will be their destiny

هاي الظعينه أمانه .. منك أريد

This convoy is in your trust


الضمانه .. درب السلامه

I want a guarantee ..
you bring them back safely


4/ حبل الأمل مگطوع ما وصلتني شاره

4/ Hope is cut off, I have no news

وأدري بِشر لو صاح ما يحمل بِشاره

I know when this guy Bisher screams , it's not good news

لازم يجرّعني الزمن چاس المراره

I must go back in time,
because of my grief and sadness

يرجع ظعنهم بس نسه كلهن أُسارى

The entire convoy came back with only female captives

يجفعني ناعي البين بحسين اويه وِلْدِي


I am shocked by the news of
Al Hussain’s and my children’s death

واصرخ سبوها بت علي إفزع يمهدي

I shout out loud ‘Zainab Ali’s daughter has been captured ‘

أبچي نهاري ويه ليلي .. او ثارك يبرّد

غليلي .. درب السلامه

I cry day and night .. only vengeance quenches my anger .. return safely
