Dua Iftitah recited by Hajj Mohammed Taleb in English translation.

Dua Iftitah was taught by Imam Mahdi (AJTFS) to recite every night during the month Ramadhan. Supplication of Al-Iftitah is generally recited during each night of the month of Ramadan. The article written by Sheikh Mohammed Ali Shomali is to explain some of its main themes such as: praising of Allah, salutations to the prophet and his household, and special salutations to Imam Mahdi (AJTFS).

It is explained from duas.org that the supplication can be divided into two parts:
1) Man's relationship with Allah &
2) Divine leaders.

As the original language of this supplication is in Arabic, it is recommended to learn the supplication in our own language, so when we read and recite the Arabic version of the supplication, we will understand better and know what we are supplicating to Allah SWT.

Before we approach the Holy Month of Ramadhan and whilst we are in the blessed month, I advise my dear brothers and sisters to read a beautiful brief commentary of this Dua written by Agha Mohammed Taqi Misbah Yazdi. Al-Zīyārah al-Jāmiʿa al-Kabīra is among the most important and most perfect ziyarah texts for the Infallible Imams (AS). This ziyarah was issued by Imam Ali Naqi al-Hadi (AS) to one of his companion upon his request. The content of this ziyarah text includes Shi'a beliefs on imamate, the positions of the Imams (AS), and Shi'a's duties about them. زیارت جامعۂ کبیرہ ائمہ معصومینؑ کی اہم ترین اور کامل ترین زیارت ہے جس کے ذریعے دور یا نزدیک سے تمام ائمہ کی زیارت کی جا سکتی ہے۔
یہ زیارت نامہ شیعیان اہل بیتؑ کی درخواست پر امام ہادیؑ کی طرف سے صادر ہوا ہے۔ اس زیارت نامہ کے مضامین درحقیقت ائمہؑ کے بارے میں شیعہ عقائد، ائمہؑ کی منزلت اور ان کی نسبت ان کے پیروکاروں کے فرائض پر مشتمل ہے۔ یہ زیارت نامہ فصیح ترین اور دلنشین ترین عبارات کے ضمن میں امام شناسی کا ایک اعلی درسی نصاب فراہم کرتا ہے۔
جو زیارت نامہ کسی خاص امام کے لئے مختص نہ ہو اسے زيارت جامعہ کہا جاتا ہے اور چونکہ اس کا متن زیادہ مفصل ہے اس بنا پر یہ زیارت جامعہ کبیرہ کے نام سے مشہور ہوا ہے۔
زیارت جامعۂ کبیرہ ایک ایسی زیارت ہے جسے آپ کسی بھی امام کی دور یا نزدیک سے زیارت کرنے کیلئے پڑھ سکتے ہیں۔

What is considerably noticeable in the mystical thoughts of Imam Khomeini is his placing importance on young age as a starting point for self-development and self-purification. According to him, the older a person becomes, the firmer and more deep-rooted false beliefs and evil deeds become, and the more difficult it is to rectify them. In addition, unlike young age, man's willpower, like other mental powers, weakens with old age, making the spiritual struggle harder. Hence, in this short excerpt video of Imam Khomeini, he highlights the significance of self-refinement (self-purification) over knowledge and how one must prioritise self-purification over everything.

3rd June marks the death anniversary of Imam Khomeini. Please recite Surah al-Fateha for his noble soul.

Lowering our Gaze & the story of meeting Imam Mahdi A.S - Sheikh Shabbar Mehdi

It is the statement of an Imam (AS) that: "If a believer refrains from glancing at an unrelated female due to fear of God, and he casts down his glance, as much particles his glance covers, as much reward would be written for him."

O God, You are concealer of defects. Through the right of Imam e Zamana (ATFS), give us good sense (Tawfeeq) to purify our glances, so that we may be able to see the elegance of Imam e Zamana (ATFS). Ameen.
