قال الإمامُ السجّاد (عليه السلام) - لمّا سُئِلَ عن العصبيَّةِ - : (العَصَبيَّةُ التي يَأثَمُ عليها صاحِبُها أنْ يَرَى الرّجُلُ شِرارَ قومِهِ خيْرَاً من خِيَارِ قومٍ آخرينَ ، وليسَ من العَصَبِيَّةِ أنْ يُحِبَّ الرّجلُ قومَهُ ، ولكن من العَصبيَّةِ أنْ يُعينَ قومَهُ على الظُّلمِ).
