It is permissible to sell and buy gold utensils for the purpose of decoration; however, it is haram to use them for eating and drinking. Why is it haram? Because gold and silver are wealth to be used in the market to boost the economy. In the past, a country’s wealth was measured by gold and silver. According to Sayed Sistani, the hadith only mentions the impermissibility of using gold and silver utensils for eating and drinking (not anything else).

This Whispered Prayer is very similar to a monologue, recited by Imam Ali (a) addressing God. The Imam (a) highlights and emphasises that God is the only one who can bestow on us mercy, as He is the Creator, the Infinite, and the Great, whilst we are the created, the finite, and the lowly. It is a very moving and heart- trembling supplication.
