حديث قدسي رائع جداً فيه عتاب لبني آدم
An emotional Hadith al-Qudsi in which reminds us, the children of Adam of bounties in which Allah SWT has generously granted us throughout our lives and yet, we have returned to Him our sins and our disobedience.

Translation correction:
وجعلت لك متَّكَأً عن يمينك،
I provided you a pillow (comfort) for you on *right side
ومتكأً عن شمالك،
and a pillow on the *left side too

فأما الذي عن يمينك فالكبد،
because the liver was on the *right side (of the womb)

وأما الذي عن شمالك فالطِّحال،
and a pancreas on the *left side



In Dua Abu Hamza Thumali, Imam Zain al-Abideen( AS) says:

ذُنُوبُنَا بَيْنَ يَدَيْكَ
نَسْتَغْفِرُكَ ٱللَّهُمَّ مِنْهَا وَنَتُوبُ إِلَيْكَ
تَتَحَبَّبُ إِلَيْنَا بِٱلنِّعَمِ وَنُعَارِضُكَ بِٱلذُّنُوبِ
خَيْرُكَ إِلَيْنَا نَازِلٌ وَشَرُّنَا إِلَيْكَ صَاعِدٌ
وَلَمْ يَزَلْ وَلاَ يَزَالُ مَلَكٌ كَرِيمٌ يَأْتِيكَ عَنَّا بِعَمَلٍ قَبِيحٍ
فَلاَ يَمْنَعُكَ ذٰلِكَ مِنْ أَنْ تَحُوطَنَا بِنِعَمِكَ وتَتَفَضَّلَ عَلَيْنَا بِآلاَئِكَ
فَسُبْحَانَكَ مَا أَحْلَمَكَ وَأَعْظَمَكَ وَأَكْرَمَكَ مُبْدِئاً وَمُعِيداً

Our sins are before You;
we beseech You, O Allah, to forgive them and we repent before You.
Whilst You show affection to us through Your graces, we take ourselves away from You through our sins.
You good descend upon us while our evildoing ascends to You.
Although that a noble angel always carries to You our offensive deeds,
this has never made you stop encompassing us with Your graces and conferring upon us your elegances.
Glory be to You! How Forbearing, Magnificent, and Generous You are at all times!

ہمارے گناه تیرے سامنے ہیں
اے الله! ہم تجھ سے انکی بخشش چاہتے ہیں اور تیرے حضور توبہ کرتے ہیں
تو نعمتوں کے ذریعے ہم سے محبّت کرتا ہے اور اسکے مقابل ہم تیری نافرمانی کرتے ہیں،
تیری بھلائی ہماری طرف آ رہی ہے اور ہماری برائی تیری طرف جا رہی ہے
تو ہمیشہ ہمیشہ کیلئے عزت والا بادشاه ہے تیرے پاس ہمارے برے اعمال جاتے ہیں
تو بھی تجھے ہم پر اپنی نعمتوں کی بارش روک نہیں سکتے اور تو ہم پر اپنی عطائیں بڑھاتا رہتا ہے
پس تو پاک تر ہے تو کیسا بردبار ہے کتنا عظیم ہے کتنا معزز ہے ابتدائی کرنے اور پلٹانے میں

Whispered Prayer of Imam Ali for the Holy Month of Sha'ban

Imam Khomeini (r.a.) the most perfect gnostic of our times, in his repeated speeches have emphasized the special spiritual importance of this precious supplication. Those who are blessed with Divine grace of keeping themselves continuously engaged in supplications and God's remembrance loves this supplication a lot, and because of this supplication eagerly await for the arrival of the Holy Month of Sha’ban.

This supplication contains vest sublime themes especially the etiquettes and manners of servanthood; the manners of how to face God-Almighty; how to beseech Him; how to tell him about heart's secrets; how to open tongue for offering apologies and how to remain hopeful.

Also, in these supplications the meanings of interpretation of God's Countenance (Laqa), God's Witnessing (Shahood) God's Nearness, (Qurb) have been described in a delicate manner, which do not leave any doubt or confusion for those wayfarers, who are still double minded, and who do not want to believe. Regarding self-awareness which is preliminary for God's learning (Marefah), this supplication contains most meaningful and surprising points.

The keynote of this Whispered Prayer is the love of Allah, the awareness of his all-pervading presence and a burning desire to achieve the goal of severance from all else and attachment to him.

It is very recommended to recite it during the month of Sha'ban, but it can also be read at any other time of the year. The words and meaning are extremely profound and beautiful. Spend time, reflect and ponder through this holy whispered prayer. Whisper and speak to Allah SWT through the words in this supplication, in order to gain closeness to Him. It has been narrated by Ibn Khalawayh who commented on it, saying, “This is the prayer of Imam Ali Amir ul-Mu'mineen and the Holy Imams, his descendants, (PBUH) who used to recite it in the month of Sha'baan."

مُناجاتِ شَعبانیہ حضرت علیؑ سے منقول وہ مناجات ہے جسے آپؑ کے بعد تمام ائمہؑ پابندی کے ساتھ پڑھا کرتے تھے۔ اس مناجات کو اللہ کے صالح ترین بندوں کا اپنے معبود کے ساتھ راز و نیاز کا کامل ترین نمونہ قرار دیا جاتا ہے۔ شیعیان اہل بیت عام طور پر ماہ شعبان میں مناجات شعبانیہ کی قرائت کا اہتمام کرتے ہیں۔ابن خالویہ سے روایت ہے کہ امیرالمومنین (ع)اور ان کے فرزندان ماہ شعبان میں روزانہ جو مناجات پڑھا کرتے تھے وہ یہ ہے: اور یہ بہت جلیل القدر مناجات ہیں جو آئمہ کی طرف سے منسوب ہیں اور یہ دعا مضامین عالیہ پر مشتمل ہے جب انسان حضور قلب رکھتا ہو اس دعا کا پڑھنا مناسب ہے ۔

Dua Tawbah recited by Murtada Qurish (in Arabic text with English translation)


This Du'a (supplication) is taught by the fourth Imam (a) and is Du'a no.31 in Saheefa Sajjadiyyah. The du'a is a touching plea by one who acknowledges the enormity of the sins he has committed. His hope lies only in the mercy and forgiveness of Allah.

Using Qur'anic concepts of repentance, and its acceptance, Imam teaches us how to be sincere in seeking it. The Du'a reiterates the conditions of repentance, the physical signs present on a true repenter, and the legitimate hopes given to one who truly seeks forgiveness. It is a beautifully elegant way of expressing the remorse and hope of a faithful believer who has sinned.

“There is nothing more beloved to Allah than a believer who is repentant, male or female.” [Holy Prophet (s)]

(when describing those who repent) . . “they planted the trees of their sins in front of their eyes and hearts, and watered them with the water of regret. They gained the fruits of peace, followed by the pleasure of Allah, and respect (in His eyes).” [Imam ‘Ali (a)]
