السور المسبحات هي السور التي تفتتح بتسبيح الله عَزَّ و جَلَّ فتكون أُولى كلمة في الآية الأولى منها تشتمل على التسبيح ك: ﴿ ... سَبَّحَ ... ﴾ 1 أو ﴿ ... يُسَبِّحُ ... ﴾ 2أو﴿ ... سَبَّحَ لِلَّهِ ... ﴾ 1 أو "سبحان الله" أو ﴿ ... سَبِّحِ اسْمَ رَبِّكَ ... ﴾ 3، و قيل أن سورة الاسراء منها أيضاً لانها تبتدأ بـ ﴿ ... سُبْحَانَ الَّذِي ... ﴾ 4، و هذه السور هي بحسب ترتيبها في المصحف الشريف كالتالي:

سورة الإسراء، و رقمها: (17).
سورة الحديد، و رقمها: (57).
سورة الحشر، و رقمها: (59).
سورة الصف، و رقمها: (61).
سورة الجمعة، و رقمها: (62).
سورة التغابن، و رقمها: (64).
سورة الأعلى، و رقمها: (87).


The 'Musabbihat Surahs' are those chapters that begin with the glorification of Allah, the Mighty and Majestic. The first word in the initial verse of these surahs includes the act of glorifying, such as: ﴿... Glorified (Sabbaha)... ﴾1, or ﴿... He glorifies (Yusabbihu)... ﴾2, or ﴿... Glorified is Allah (Sabbaha Lillah)... ﴾1, or "Glory be to Allah", or ﴿... Glorify the name of your Lord... ﴾3. It is also said that Surah Al-Isra belongs to them because it begins with ﴿... Exalted (Subhan) is He... ﴾4. These surahs, according to their sequence in the Holy Quran, are as follows:
Surah Al-Isra, its number: (17).
Surah Al-Hadid, its number: (57).
Surah Al-Hashr, its number: (59).
Surah As-Saff, its number: (61).
Surah Al-Jumu'ah, its number: (62).
Surah At-Taghabun, its number: (64).
Surah Al-A'la, its number: (87)."

Surah Mulk aka Tabaraka is the very first surah in juz 29 of the Quran. It begins by praising God who owns the universe and glorifies him using the word tabaraka which means someone who has much glory. It talks about different topics such as life and death, the harmony in the universe, and man’s ingratitude. This surah contains many rhetorical questions which provokes man’s contemplation and causes him to admit God’s blessings given to him. This surah ends by saying that God is the one who gives running water to man and stops water from sinking.
