There are several possibilities about what this hadith means:
1. On the Day of Judgement, Allah will grant you knowledge, and this knowledge will stay with you for eternity. What is the greatest joy of the people of paradise? Knowledge, because nothing satisfies the soul more than knowledge. Knowledge is like water that quenches the thirst.
2. Allah will raise this person with the scholars, which is a great medal of honour.
