[0:04]Palestine and now in Lebanon with many of us here having family

[0:06]and friends who are being affected by what's happening in our beloved

[0:11]countries it's very hard to come here with joy it's very hard

[0:18]you're aware especially with just by opening your phone and going through

[0:21]your feed you see videos that horrify you and break your heart

[0:24]and you see a world around you and a media around you

[0:28]that seemingly does not seem to care in times like this we

[0:35]of course connect to Z and remember her stance and her stand

[0:37]on the day of Ash when she saw the absolute worst of

[0:42]things her own brothers and family being killed and massacred in front

[0:46]of her and still maintaining that patience and that faith in Allah

[0:52]and Subhan now that's what we see in Palestine and Lebanon we

[0:57]see people who see in front of them their own family members

[1:00]being butchered and the first thing they say is alhamdulillah and we

[1:05]trust in Allah's will and our faith is maintained we see people

[1:08]being pulled out of rubble making sure that they have W so

[1:13]they can still pray we see people whose houses have been bmed

[1:16]behind them saying you know we don't we don't argue with Allah's

[1:21]will so faith is still a very important part of what's Happening

[1:22]Now and some can argue that our faith has been strengthened by

[1:26]what we've seen and the question I want to ask today is

[1:32]how our master and our living IM the of our time IM

[1:34]M may Allah for your parents feels when he sees what we're

[1:41]seeing because we see these videos on our feed but he hears

[1:46]us he hears our heartbeats he hears our cries he hears the

[1:51]cries of those mothers who have their children and are pulling them

[2:38]behind with absolutely no one to help them and is in times

[2:41]like this that we ask our Imam that he is the one

[2:45]that comes and helps these orphans and I ask my Imam I

[2:46]tell him are you not kept up at night oh Master by

[2:52]hearing our cries are you not kept up at night oh Master

[2:56]hearing our cries between the clouds you peer as our days become

[6:34]grieve sorrow are perfumed so I say come back oh Master for

[6:36]the days are over and the nights have come come back oh

[6:59]be there for us be there for us we chant your name

[7:05]in praise and song even in Goss and our breaths last still

[8:08]to invite to the stage she AAR Nas she AAR Nas is

[10:07]Elders brothers and sisters I'd like to begin by welcoming all of

[10:19]you who were absent uh yesterday because of the the football game

[10:24]I forgive you for your absence so I want to continue our

[10:32]our discussion that we began last night and the the topic that

[10:39]we were exploring was the topic of victory in Islam Allah addresses

[10:44]the community of the Believers he says oh you who believe if

[11:00]you help God God will help you and he will firmly plant

[11:04]your feet he will grant you steadfastness now one of the most

[11:12]important conditions for us to receive the help of Allah a condition

[11:22]that sometimes we Overlook and that condition is mentioned in the Quran

[11:30]you know usually when there is when it's a time of Crisis

[11:36]we attend lectures we turn to religious leaders and in the middle

[11:44]of something like a genocide you might hear a lecture on the

[11:50]obligation of Salah the obligation of hijab the prohibition of certain types

[11:57]of music and you you listen to this and you you think

[12:01]to yourself that wow these people are so out of touch you're

[12:05]speaking about hijab in the middle of a genocide you're speaking about

[12:11]Salah in the middle of a genocide you're speaking about andam in

[12:17]the middle of a genocide see we think that these things are

[12:27]not important variables in our quest for victory Allah subhana waala inah

[12:34]IM ay 120 what does he say he says Allah says if

[12:47]you are patient and you have tawa you know tawa is a

[12:52]fancy word which essentially means doing your and avoiding the being God

[12:59]conscious means that you obey Allah Allah says if you are patient

[13:15]if you have patience and piety the scheming and the plotting of

[13:28]your enemies will not harm you in the least one of the

[13:32]most important factors one of the most important conditions for us as

[13:36]a community to be worthy of Allah's support and his help is

[13:45]tawa you know sometimes we have more faith in our activism than

[13:52]we have in our relationship with Allah subhana wa ta'ala we think

[13:57]that it's the activism it's the it's the boycotts the protests that

[14:03]is what's going to make a difference no one is denying that

[14:07]that type of activism is important but there is a very very

[14:12]important variable in this equation and that variable is the extent of

[14:21]your obedience to Allah subhah wa ta'ala so Allah he highlights here

[14:29]that in addition to your preparedness in addition to planning putting pressure

[14:38]in the form of protests and boycotts and lobbying that has that

[14:43]has its place Allah subhana tala he says plan use everything at

[14:54]your disposal to resist to fight against your enemies but do not

[15:02]under underestimate the importance of tawa in eliciting that Divine support now

[15:11]the question is if we demonstrate piety in moments of Crisis if

[15:18]we think to ourselves okay what do we need to change within

[15:24]ourselves to be people who are more obedient to Allah whether it's

[15:33]our prayers the way that we conduct ourselves with our community members

[15:37]we have to look if we are abandoning certain w we have

[15:43]to fulfill those obligations the promise of God's support will arrive now

[15:55]when Allah helps how does he help what does divine support look

[16:03]like because when Allah says if you support me I will support

[16:09]you the question is oh Allah how are you going to support

[16:14]the Believers what are you going to give them in the form

[16:20]of support I'll share with you six ways in which Allah subhana

[16:28]wa ta'ala helps the in times of difficulty and in the face

[16:37]of adversity number one when you look at the Quran the first

[16:42]way that Allah helps is Allah subhana waala in we have a

[16:56]chapter in the Quran known as the chapter of victory Alat inah

[17:03]Alat Allah subhana wa tala tells the prophet that Allah subhah waala

[17:08]your Lord is always supporting you Allah will grant you a mighty

[17:20]Victory now how does Allah Grant Victory how does he help his

[17:27]prophet and the Believers [Music] you know when you are standing in

[17:41]the battlefields and your life is at risk when you are confronted

[17:45]with formidable enemies Hearts usually quiver there is that Fear Factor and

[17:58]we mentioned that the most important factor after ta and in achieving

[18:05]Victory is morale and what does Allah subhana wa ta'ala do he

[18:11]says I send down Tranquility into the hearts of the Believers you

[18:21]know we call these the intangibles you can see numbers in the

[18:28]battlefield you can see see the Weaponry you can see the technology

[18:32]but what you can't see the intangible is what you might have

[18:41]the most powerful weapons but your heart is in turmoil that's what

[18:49]we saw in bad in bed Abu sufyan had the bigger guns

[18:55]but who had the more tranquil hearts the prophet and his followers

[19:01]so one of the ways in which Allah helps is that he

[19:08]gives them the most powerful weapon and that is in times where

[19:12]normal people are shaking in fear I'm going to make sure that

[19:20]your hearts are tranquil that you're calm because when you're calm you

[19:27]don't make mistakes you're very levelheaded they already have Iman in their

[19:39]hearts and that Tranquility it increases it elevates the already existing faith

[19:48]that they have in their hearts their Iman becomes stronger in those

[19:51]battlefields so this is the first way in which Allah helps the

[19:56]Believers he calms their hearts in the face of insurmountable odds and

[20:03]that is a very very important element a very important Factory in

[20:10]achieving Victory number two the second thing that Allah does the second

[20:21]way that he helps the Believers is that he puts Terror and

[20:27]fear in the hearts of the enemies Allah subhana wa tala inah

[20:36]Al ay 151 Allah says Allah says I I will cast fear

[20:51]in the hearts of the concealers of Truth you know the word

[20:55]kufar is probably the most mistranslated term in the entire Islamic tradition

[21:02]you read kuf and you you think that okay that this applies

[21:08]to my neighbor Bob and Jennifer and Stacy no no no kufar

[21:12]refer especially in the Quran it has a very specific meaning this

[21:18]is referring to the concealers of Truth the manipulators because even you

[21:28]know in classical Arabic a farmer is called a cfir because a

[21:33]farmer conceals the seeds in the earth so these are the people

[21:42]who are manipulating The Narrative these are not innocent people these are

[21:47]not the victims no these are Allah says I help the Believers

[21:55]by making their hearts calm and the other side your enemies I

[22:00]will put fear in their hearts you know when you look at

[22:06]someone like Benjamin Netanyahu this is not someone who has sinak in

[22:11]his heart he has the backing of the United States of America

[22:15]he has the most advanced Weaponry but when push comes to shove

[22:18]he's the first one to run into a bunker he's terrified and

[22:31]all it takes is for a to show up and they all

[22:37]become terrified he doesn't have the same weapons that you have where

[22:42]does this come from Allah says this is from me I bolster

[22:50]their image and their power in the hearts of the enemies that's

[22:59]number two number three [Music] is Allah subhana waala he does something

[23:09]else this is a third way in which he helps the Believers

[23:12]there is a subtle form of divine intervention now what does Allah

[23:19]do and this is actually mentioned in the Quran inah Surah 8

[23:26]Ayah 43 when the two armies meet you know most of the

[23:30]time the Muslims are outnumbered if you look at the history of

[23:37]Islam the prophet is outnumbered in B he's outnumbered in he's outnumbered

[23:42]in most of the battles is outnumbered the enemies almost always have

[23:50]a an advantage in terms of their numbers so what does Allah

[23:54]do Allah says in Ayah 43 what Allah says and when he

[24:08]showed them to you when you met as few in your eyes

[24:15]when the Muslims are confronted with their enemies Allah says I make

[24:20]them look few in number Allah subhah wa taala he intervenes by

[24:27]shaping the reception of the Believers in the eyes of the kuf

[24:32]and vice versa so Allah helps the M when they look at

[24:36]the enemies even though they might be a huge Army Allah says

[24:42]I make them look small I make them look like they're only

[24:44]a few why because this will give you confidence and then what

[24:51]does he do what does he do with the enemies and he

[24:57]makes your Army you would think that Allah is going to say

[25:03]what he makes your army look big but he doesn't he says

[25:06]I make your army also look small when you look at your

[25:14]enemies Allah is addressing the M when you look at your enemies

[25:16]they appear to be few in number because this will give you

[25:20]confidence that we can manage this when your enemies look at you

[25:27]they see you as few in number how is that an advantage

[25:33]for the Believers it's an advantage because Allah wants your enemies to

[25:41]underestimate you and when they underestimate you they make strategic mistakes this

[25:50]is how Allah subhana wa ta'ala helps his how he helps the

[25:57]prophet and the Believers and we're seeing it today the most powerful

[26:03]armies in the world they're not able to handle these as they

[26:09]call these nonstate actors right they're powerless so this is a third

[26:18]way in which Allah subhana wa ta'ala helps the Believers number four

[26:25]we we alluded to this last night Allah subhah waala he gives

[26:36]steadfastness means a type of resilience you know it's human nature to

[26:48]cling to life it's instinctual when there's a danger people Retreat because

[26:55]it's in our nature to self- preserve OB erve Allah subhana wa

[27:02]taala he says I make them very firm now what does Allah

[27:08]do to the heart of a m when they are facing their

[27:10]enemies you know if you read IM Zin Dua Imam talks about

[27:21]how the Imam prays to Allah saying oh Allah when they are

[27:28]fighting your enemies at the borders take away from their heart the

[27:33]love of this world because what makes you hesitant to fight is

[27:40]you have all of these attachments worldly attachments family attachments but in

[27:48]that moment when you are confronted with your enemies Allah subhana wa

[27:53]ta'ala he has his ways he makes you forget about all of

[27:58]the things that will make you cling to this life and like

[28:06]a magnet you are pulled to the other side you do something

[28:10]that is really against the nature of a person because we cling

[28:12]to life Allah says I will make you steadfast you know this

[28:19]was the Dua of the army of talut you know we're familiar

[28:22]with the story of talut in the Quran inah Bak King Saul

[28:27]is mentioned in the Quran this was the battle between David and

[28:32]Goliath you know D he wasn't always a king he is the

[28:40]king who was once a soldier he was a soldier in the

[28:44]army of talut and the Quran goes into details about how he

[28:49]trains this Army and how he filters out the Army because he

[28:54]he only wants the elite those who ha who don't have any

[28:57]discipline he doesn't want them be part of the army you know

[29:01]and they're tested with the drinking of the water in any case

[29:04]the last group that remained because it was a massive Army there

[29:12]was a a weeding out process until palut ends up with 313

[29:18]Fighters and as they're about to confront the mighty Army of Goliath

[29:24]Allah quotes the Dua of the Elites the soldiers the final the

[29:34]cream of the crop what do they say oh Allah pour upon

[29:50]you we need you to give us patience and we need you

[29:57]to make our feet firm we need that steadfastness so that's the

[30:03]fourth way in which Allah helps the Believers a fifth way and

[30:10]we mentioned this last night Allah he sends down angels and if

[30:22]you if you listen to the statements of our brothers who fight

[30:30]on the front lines whether it's against D or the zionists there

[30:35]are many stories of things that these brothers have witnessed that just

[30:42]cannot be explained and Allah subhana tala inah Surah 8 ayat 12

[30:50]he says says to the angels I'm with you the Battle of

[31:00]bed Allah says to the angels I'm with you go down and

[31:07]strengthen the hearts of the you know the Mal in the Quran

[31:14]they play they are God's hidden army they play a role in

[31:20]this physical world right so there's an interaction now between the material

[31:25]world and the Angelic World they participate in the fighting but they

[31:31]also do what they fortify the hearts of the Believers and Allah

[31:38]subhana wa T you know when we you know there's one night

[31:40]out of the Year where we all celebrate The Descent of angels

[31:56]but the Angels don't only descend on Allah subhana waala in he

[32:07]says what they don't just descend on they do but there are

[32:22]other things that can cause the angels to descend and that is

[32:25]if a person says my Lord is Allah and they are steadfast

[32:34]what happens you you have the ability to attract the angels in

[32:49]the heavens because of your AA because of your belief because of

[32:53]your steadfastness we don't know how many because each person has a

[33:02]different spiritual capacity Maybe for One m one Angel comes to back

[33:05]him to support and fortify his heart maybe for another M it's

[33:09]two maybe for another M it's 10 maybe it's thousands maybe it's

[33:16]tens of thousands everything is measured now what do these angels do

[33:21]they come with a message and these angels you know they don't

[33:26]come with you know verbal messages that you might get it or

[33:31]you might not there's no translators required because they're communicating a message

[33:38]that has a profound effect on your soul and what is the

[33:47]message don't be afraid and don't grieve you know and there's no

[33:57]fear don't fear and don't grieve fear is usually associated with anxiety

[34:03]about what is to come and grief is the anxiety and the

[34:06]pain attached to things in the past those angels descend and they

[34:16]say do not fear and do not grieve just be in the

[34:22]moment as a soldier of God I ask you brothers and sisters

[34:32]if you have this support is there any army in the world

[34:36]that can defeat you do you think the IDF can beat this

[34:40]you think any military power in the world can defeat an army

[34:47]who have hearts that are being whispered into by Mal saying it's

[34:55]impossible you can't be in an army like that the seventh the

[35:01]sixth way Allah subhana wa tala helps the Believers is through natural

[35:08]phenomenons like rain and wind you know sometimes we forget that it's

[35:17]not just the angels that are the soldiers of God nature itself

[35:23]is among the soldiers Allah subhana wa ta'ala in you know we're

[35:33]all familiar with the Battle of you know who who was the

[35:37]hero in the battle of the Quran tells us that there is

[35:42]another reason why the Muslims were victorious in of course there's no

[35:53]doubt we're in agreement that I ABB his sword saved Islam period

[36:05]in the battles of Islam Ali's heroics and then everything else is

[36:13]footnotes Allah tells us inah Ayah number n oh you who believe

[36:26]remember Allah's fa upon [Applause] you remember when an army came Abu

[36:38]sufyan with 10,000 soldiers aab Jewish tribes bedwin tribes qur they had

[36:46]the best weapons they descended upon Medina they besieged Medina Allah says

[36:52]do you remember when that Army came and what did Allah do

[37:01]Allah says I sent a wind I sent a wind storm I

[37:11]sent an army that you could not see reference to the angels

[37:17]but I also sent a a storm they retreated for two reasons

[37:22]because Ali broke their Spirit and the sandstorm uprooted all of their

[37:31]tents and they went back Allah subh Allah subhana T sometimes he

[37:35]helps the Believers by doing what by sending a natural disaster to

[37:43]defeat the enemies now the question is okay the Believers are receiving

[37:49]all of this support what's the goal what are we trying to

[37:54]achieve what are we aiming for as a Community the answer is

[38:02]at the end of du because the ultimate Victory my dear brothers

[38:10]and sisters the ultimate Victory will be realized with the emergence of

[38:17]the 12th IM Muhammad what do we recite in Du at the

[38:30]end because this is the goal everything that we do is to

[38:40]achieve the goal that is mentioned in what do we saying in

[38:53]this Dua oh Allah we yearn we are yearning for something and

[39:00]we are yearning for a specific government as M are we yearning

[39:09]for a government that's run by the Democrats is this what we're

[39:14]yearning for are we yearning for a government that is run by

[39:19]the Republicans we're not even yearning for a government that's run by

[39:24]a third party the reality is in we're just trying to do

[39:28]damage control what do we say we are yearning for a government

[39:43]that gives dignity to the people and this government and this is

[39:55]a part of our AA we should not think for a moment

[40:01]that if a Democrat if a republican if a green Party candidate

[40:03]comes to power that is and that will be where we will

[40:07]find our prosperity no our prosperity is under one type of government

[40:15]and that is the government of Imam Ali which is a government

[40:22]that is predicated on the principle of human dignity a government that

[40:35]really believes in human dignity the only ideology in the world that

[40:46]can truly preserve the Dignity of insan is Islam this is a

[40:57]government that will El Islam because Islam will give dignity to people

[41:01]and it's a government that will humiliate do you know what nfak

[41:11]is nef is like Anthony blinkin n are all of these politicians

[41:17]who use all of this flowery language about human rights that we

[41:25]care about innocent civilians it's all rhetoric they say one thing and

[41:30]they do another the government of IM that is the government of

[41:39]human dignity and do you know what that looks like it looks

[41:52]walking and there is a Christian man begging an old Christian man

[44:32]stop waiting for someone to come and save us the Democrats are

[44:35]not going to save you the Republicans are not going to save

[44:41]not going to save you you have to save yourself Allah subhana

[45:42]ones who have influence they are the ones who shape and mend
