[8:18]they were so terrified in the day of candor that the quran

[8:25]is telling us we don't need to go to any narrator any

[8:32]historians to tell us the quran says the day of the khandaq

[8:37]you were all terrified your vision went blurry you were not able

[8:46]to see due to what to fear and panic and you had

[8:57]your heart coming out of your mouth due to the fear and

[9:08]then you started to doubt allah you almost lost your faith you

[9:18]were so terrified that you started to say well is allah with

[9:23]us are we sure we are in the right path you were

[9:28]deeply shaken your faith were shaken was shaken so who was the

[9:36]savior who was the hero that day imam ali ibn abi talib

[9:41]you know the story i don't need to go through the whole

[9:45]story for you but i wanna go to one or two point

[9:54]in that story the first one the prophet looks at at muslims

[10:00]sitting basically shivering of of cold weather trembling to do due to

[10:09]fear and panic so the prophet looks at them and he is

[10:19]listening to the great warrior of the infidels his name is amr

[10:27]ibnuwat calling on muslims to come and fight with him and the

[10:33]prophet looks at muslim and says who would take the challenge and

[10:43]be willing to fight this man and i assure him i assure

[10:48]you that if you get killed you go straight to heaven no

[10:54]one will take the challenge there was a dead silence they all

[12:02]panicked they were all terrified and the prophet is assuring them anybody

[12:10]takes the challenge and he gets killed will go straight to heaven

[12:15]no but no one takes the challenge there is one man only

[12:19]young man who was only 23 or 24 year old ali ibn

[12:25]abi talib he raises his hand i will take the challenge allow

[12:32]me you rasulallah let me go and fight him three times you

[13:52]think allah will only test you by asking you to pray prayer

[13:57]is very easy you think he will test you only by asking

[14:02]you to fast one month and a year that's so easy you

[14:08]think he will test your faith by only asking you to go

[14:12]to hajj once in your lifetime that's so easy specially these days

[14:16]hajj has become a vacation but allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will test

[14:23]you through different tests he will send someone who would threaten to

[14:32]kick you all out of america and he would cause trouble for

[14:38]you and for your religion and he would tell you that i'm

[14:41]going to monitor your masses do you panic or no will you

[14:49]succumb or you stay strong will you be so afraid saying say

[14:57]it don't please talk about politics don't don't talk politics anymore trump

[15:03]will be upset let him be upset to hell with him don't

[15:10]worry be strong be brave be strong muslim raise your voice and

[15:20]raise your concern don't be coward just because someone is barking allah

[15:30]test us so allah is testing these muslims who are sitting next

[15:36]to the prophet no one takes the challenge but ali ibn abiutal

[15:44]in the end the prophet says to ali ibn abi talib you

[15:50]ali ibn abi do you know who this guy is this is

[15:56]amr ibn awad it suffices to tell you that this man carried

[16:02]a title named fa'ris uyaliel the knight of yaliel why he was

[16:09]called faris yaliel because in one battle he was able to defeat

[16:15]an army of 1,000 soldiers by himself one person alone that's why

[16:21]he was given this medal farisu yaliel he was farisu yaliel the

[16:27]night of yaliel because his power his force his bravery was equivalent

[16:36]or actually superseded the courage of 1,000 warriors so the prophet tells

[16:42]ali ibn abi talib inahu amr do you know who he is

[16:47]don't underestimate him don't underestimate me so the prophet gives the permission

[17:10]to ali ibn abi talib and he goes and he finishes the

[17:18]man off muslims are watching from far away they are watching the

[17:24]battle that ensued between ali ibn abi talib and amr in a

[17:29]few minutes they see ali ibn abi talib was able to overwhelm

[17:34]with his opponent amr amr was in the floor and ali ibn

[17:40]abi talib sitting on his chest so he can finish him off

[17:46]but ali ibn abi talib did not he did not he got

[17:52]up he walked around for a few minutes and he came back

[18:01]afterward and he finished the man off when ali ibn abiataalib came

[18:07]back muslims were so curious to know why he did not finish

[18:12]his opponent while muslims were so anxious when he came back they

[18:45]said you abul hasan why took you so long to finish him

[18:50]off you were able to finish him off from the first minute

[18:56]you sat on his chest why took you so long that you

[19:00]got up you paused for a few minutes you took around the

[19:07]man and then you went back and you finished him off listen

[19:11]to ali ibn abi talib my dear brothers and sisters yes ali

[19:14]ibn abi talib was a brave man but he was a humble

[19:19]man he was a sincere man he was a god fearing man

[19:25]he did not use his strength to discipline his power before people

[19:32]and brag about himself he was not trying to show off he

[19:38]did that for allah subhanahu wa ta'ala he says when i sat

[19:43]on his chest to finish him off he spit on my face

[19:48]and when he spat on my face he provoked me he says

[20:22]when i was about to finish him off he spat on my

[20:25]face and i was provoked and i was so angered i remembered

[20:31]had i killed him that moment it would not have been for

[20:34]allah it would have been for my for violating my dignity i

[20:41]decided to get up to make sure that i calm down then

[20:47]i come back and i finish him off not to satisfy my

[20:51]anger or my revenge rather to satisfy allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and

[20:56]that's what he did the prophet says islam had two pillars on

[24:10]which islam was founded the first pillar was the wealth of khadija

[24:18]she gave her wealth to the prophet so he can spend it

[24:23]for the sake of islam so he can start his mission as

[24:26]a messenger of allah and the second pillar of islam was the

[24:32]might of ali ibn the force of ali ibn he was number

[24:38]one soldier in the army of the prophet so islam that is

[24:44]enjoyed today and followed by 1,600,000,000 muslims around the world it owes

[24:53]ali ibn abi talib a great deal of respect if it was

[24:58]not for ali ibn abi talib his dedication his sacrifices there would

[25:05]not have been islam today that's according to the prophet my dear

[25:08]brothers and sisters if it was not for ali ibn abi talib

[27:43]trust me my dear brothers and sisters you would have just read

[27:46]about something called islam that existed fourteen centuries ago and died maybe

[27:55]thirteen centuries ago but it was ali ibn abi talib after the

[28:00]prophet who did what nobody else did for islam all those years

[28:11]since the prophet started he was chasing the prophet like his shadow

[28:17]he never left the prophet alone at all in the most darkest

[28:24]moment in that day the day of the khayber the prophet sends

[31:56]one of them one a prominent companions and then he would come

[32:01]back he wasn't able to conquer the castle he failed miserably next

[32:10]day the prophet sent another companion he fails miserably to the point

[32:16]that the prophet was frustrated tomorrow morning i am going to give

[32:50]my flag to a man who is so brave he shall not

[32:57]come back till he conquers the castle go ali go and conquer

[34:25]the castle however before you conquer the castle invite them to islam

[34:35]before you use the sword and your might use your logic your

[34:41]tongue preach to them teach them what islam is for i swear

[34:48]by allah by the one who sent me as a prophet that

[34:52]if allah guides one individual to the right path due to your

[34:59]efforts it's much better than for you than if you gain or

[35:04]if you own the entire world jehovah witness we don't have this

[36:06]gut to do that to go and knock on people's door they

[36:09]do that i remember twenty maybe two twenty three years ago when

[36:16]i first came to michigan i just arrived in the country it

[36:21]had been maybe few weeks i was at a friend's house in

[36:25]dearborn it was so cold outside and it was actually snowing that

[36:30]day when someone knocked at the door i was at the house

[36:35]by myself my host was out outside i went to open the

[36:41]door i see a man an american man who speaks english i

[36:45]don't i did not speak english at the time so he asked

[36:49]me if i asked if i speak english i told him no

[36:52]he asked me if he can come in i told him i'm

[36:55]sorry the host is not here so i cannot allow you to

[36:57]come in he says what language you speak i said arabic so

[37:03]he handed me a nice beautiful brochure color brochure i read about

[37:09]jehovah's witnesses in arabic and the man leaves and as i'm watching

[37:14]him through the window i say to myself look this man he

[37:18]was in his mid sixties maybe he was so concerned to preach

[37:25]the message of his religion to me i'm a muslim now i'm

[37:29]a religious leader in such conditions weather conditions and even if i

[37:36]tell him i don't speak your language will not give up he

[37:41]will still have something else to give me do we muslims do

[37:45]that do we have this audacity to go around and teach non

[37:51]muslims about our faith some of us have this inferiority complex to

[37:58]the point that the minute he arrives in this country the first

[38:01]thing he does he changes his name he changes his name he

[38:08]has a beautiful name his name is abbas ali muhammad he changes

[38:13]his name to mike alex you name it why why the jews

[38:19]do not change their names why they maintain their jewish names and

[38:26]in fact every time i talk to a jewish person for five

[38:32]minutes or ten minutes my jewish friends or counterpart made sure that

[38:39]i would know he's a jew he would twist the conversation in

[38:43]a way that he would make me know that he's a jew

[38:47]and they are so proud of their identity only when it comes

[38:51]to us we're so afraid some of us because he is afraid

[38:57]if he holds an islamic name you know his boss may cook

[39:03]him out they don't do that in this country they may do

[39:06]that in the old country i can invite people to islam not

[40:16]necessarily through my preaching my dear brothers and sisters i can be

[40:21]an eloquent preacher and impress people about my religion but i can

[40:25]impress people more about my religion when i exhibit the akhlaq of

[40:30]my religion when i exhibit the akhlaq of the islam when i

[40:41]conduct an islamic character when my conduct is islamic how do you

[40:48]think the prophet was able to solicit so much support from people

[40:57]why people gravitated to him how come in twenty three years only

[41:04]he was able to be the most powerful man yet the most

[41:09]popular man in the arabian peninsula why you know people used to

[41:16]wait the prophet when he does wudhu you know when he makes

[41:20]wudhu they wait for him to make wudhu so when he is

[41:25]making wudhu they go and take the drops of water dropping from

[41:31]his faculty so they keep it as a blessing too my dear

[46:04]brothers and sisters the best way to attract non muslims to our

[46:08]religion is by practicing our own religion our religion that tells us

[46:16]if someone does bad to you bad thing to you do not

[46:20]reciprocate be better than that person show the better side of your

[46:28]personality be good to them when you're about to do good to

[46:33]someone don't check on their identity if they are muslim or non

[46:38]muslim you do good to all people you do good to every

[46:44]person you know doctors you know doctors i'm sure we have some

[46:49]doctors here doctors when they graduate from medical college they take an

[46:56]oath that they cure and treat all patients regardless of their faith

[47:03]so if i'm a doctor and here there is a an atheist

[47:08]coming to me even if i disagree with his faith but i

[47:14]yet cure him that is an oath i took at the medical

[47:18]school when i graduated do you know that we have a similar

[47:23]oath we took when we became muslim we decided to submit to

[47:29]allah's will and what does allah tell in the quran allah says

[47:34]i have honored all human beings who am i to say this

[47:41]guy deserves help because he is for example muslim or arab and

[47:46]this guy doesn't because he's not muslim or arab who am i

[47:49]to say that when allah honors all people regardless of their faith

[47:55]i'm not here to be judgmental my job is to educate and

[48:00]to teach and to help and allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will make

[48:04]the final judgment
