[0:00]is life insurance Halal life insurance is a contract between an insurance

[0:05]policyholder or company and an individual whereby the company promises to pay

[0:11]a certain amount upon the death of that individual usually this amount

[0:15]would go to The Inheritance or the family depending on the contract

[0:21]other events such as terminal illness or critical illness can also trigger

[0:23]payment many Shia jurists like ayatollahistani have stated that such a transaction

[0:29]and process is a lawful and indeed permissible this also includes the

[0:34]stipulation by the individual that more than the amount he has paid

[0:41]should be given upon his death or injury in some cases by

[0:43]the company of course what is important to remember is the need

[0:47]to be truthful when completing these application forms since lying to insurance

[0:51]companies is not permissible and if an application involves deception or lying

[0:57]the money obtained would be unlawful islamically
