[5:14]Well, others love business, people love money.
[5:17]So our live life is defined by what we love and depending
[5:27]on how or what we are loving.
[5:31]We see that sometimes it is reciprocated.
[5:33]For example, you invest in your education, you see that this education,
[5:38]it is reciprocated and it helps you it helps you become a
[5:44]better person.
[5:46]Helps you become a more educated person.
[5:49]You invest in businesses, sometimes it gives back, sometimes it doesn't give
[5:53]back.
[5:51]You invest in stocks, sometimes it gives back, sometimes it doesn't give
[5:58]back.
[5:57]Sometimes you might love a person or you might love a thing
[6:01]and it might be reciprocated.
[6:02]It might love you back just the way that you loved it.
[6:08]And other times it's just a one-way love where you're only loving
[6:13]and you don't get anything back.
[6:16]So in the end of our lives we come and we realize
[6:18]what was worth our love and what was not worth our love.
[6:24]And many of us will come to the realization that many things
[6:28]that we wasted our time on many people that we wasted our
[6:35]time with were not really worth our time.
[6:39]And Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala tells us that that the moment of
[6:43]that realization is on the day of judgment, the day we leave
[6:49]this life.
[6:47]Because for as long as we are living, for as long as
[6:54]our heart is beating, we still have a false sense of attachment
[6:57]to this dunya.
[6:59]We are attached to wealth, we are attached to money, we are
[7:02]attached to power, we're attached to so many things.
[7:07]Even though we know we see very clearly that every person that
[7:10]was attached to wealth was soon separated from that.
[7:13]Who name me the richest of the richest and the wealthiest person
[7:19]that was not separated from their wealth at one point in their
[7:23]life.
[7:23]Or those who were attached to power and the love of power
[7:27]and authority eventually they were also separated from it.
[7:31]But we for as long as our heart is beating for as
[7:36]long as our we are alive we have this we have this
[7:39]greed this attachment to this dunya that we're not willing to let
[7:45]go but there will come a time in our life after we
[7:47]pass away that is also considered our life where we will all
[7:54]come to that realization and Allah says this in you are so
[8:02]attached to this and the wealth and all that it offers.
[8:08]Then Allah says [Music] but then there will come a day where
[8:23]we will all have to line up and we will all stand
[8:24]in front of God and Allah subhana wa ta'ala will be holding
[8:29]us accountable and the angels they have their books and they're holding
[8:34]us accountable and then Allah says in the Quran That's the day
[8:46]that the insan will come to the realization.
[8:49]But what's the what's the point of it?
[8:52]How much is it going to help you at that time?
[8:56]Once it's too late, it's not really going to make a difference
[8:58][Music] there.
[9:04]Every single insan is going to say I wish I worked for
[9:15]my now when we we consider the life that we're living in.
[9:18]This is the hayat after the hayat after we leave this life
[9:20]that's the mat that's the afterlife.
[9:24]But this person on the day of judgment when they look at
[9:27]the afterlife and what it has to offer in front of them
[9:31]they're going to consider that the real life.
[9:31]This is not the real life that we're living in.
[9:34]Yeah.
[9:37]But that moment of realization might come a little bit too late.
[9:44]So this is why my dear brothers and sisters, it's very important
[9:47]for us.
[9:48]We all have that potential.
[9:50]We all have that power to love, that power to invest all
[9:55]of our energy and everything we have towards one thing.
[9:58]It all depends on what you direct it towards.
[10:02]Some people they're very good in directing all of their energy, all
[10:06]of their love, all of their time towards video games, for example.
[10:09]You see, they're very good at that.
[10:11]Other people, they direct it towards the stock market.
[10:15]You sit with them and you see all they talk about is
[10:19]the stock stock market.
[10:19]Did you see how the Bitcoin went up?
[10:21]Did you see how this stock is this?
[10:23]That's all they focus all their energy on.
[10:27]And there's nothing wrong with focusing on en our energy, our time
[10:32]on multiple things.
[10:34]Have a little bit of this life.
[10:35]Have a little bit towards your family.
[10:37]Have a little bit towards vacation, towards having a good time.
[10:40]But also keep a little for the as well.
[10:44]Keep a little bit of your energy, your dedication, your time, and
[10:49]your efforts for the afterlife because that is the real life.
[10:54]I wish I had worked for my that is the real life
[10:59]and that is the only love that is truly reciprocated.
[11:04]Sometimes in this life we put all of our energy, all of
[11:09]our efforts towards one type of love and then you see at
[11:14]the end of the day this dunya kicks you to the curb.
[11:15]At the end of the day there are people we invest in,
[11:20]there are people we spend time with, one problem happens and that's
[11:22]it.
[11:23]they they shut the door in your face.
[11:24]They're not going to be there for you.
[11:26]They're not going to stand with you.
[11:27]But there is a love that is always reciprocated.
[11:31]And that is the love to God.
[11:33]The love to Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala, that is the love that
[11:39]is always reciprocated.
[11:39]You put towards God, Allah subhana wa ta'ala says, you walk one
[11:43]step towards me, I will come 99 steps towards you.
[11:48]Allah subhanana wa ta'ala is the one that is always there.
[11:53]call upon me and I shall answer you.
[11:56]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says do not give up hope in the
[12:05]mercy of Allah.
[12:04]So this is the love that always gives back.
[12:08]It is the relationship with Allah subhana wa tala.
[12:13]brings that comfort to the naps.
[12:15][Music] When I have a strong healthy relationship with God, I'm not
[12:25]going to be under distress.
[12:26]I'm not going to be under pain.
[12:28]But sometimes you might enter into a relationship with someone, with a
[12:33]business, with people, and it's always shaky.
[12:36]It's always fighting.
[12:39]It's always not feeling comfortable.
[12:41]But when you enter into a state into a healthy relationship with
[12:46]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala then you will be at peace.
[13:00]Allah subhana wa ta'ala says those who stand with God the angels
[13:06]will descend upon them and they will tell them don't be afraid
[13:09]don't be sad and you are given glad tidings of the heaven
[13:16]that you have been promised my dear brothers and sisters these days
[13:21]we these days are the days of the of Im Hussein and
[13:26]for the past over 40 days we've remembering Im Hussein.
[13:30]We've been commemorating Imm Hussein since the beginning of Muharam.
[13:35]The story of Im Hussein is the greatest love story that one
[13:43]could imagine where a man he gave everything that he had for
[13:46]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala and in return that love was reciprocated.
[13:53]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala gave Im Hussein in return everything.
[13:56]He gave his life.
[13:59]He gave his children, his family.
[14:02]He made a sacrifice.
[14:01]In return, 1,400 years pass and people year after year, they remember
[14:08]Im Hussein.
[14:10]And the this shows us that Im Hussein is the perfect example
[14:15]of those who if you spend your time if you focus on
[14:21]God and you build a healthy relationship with God you see that
[14:25]Allah subhana wa tala will give you back the same way Allah
[14:32]subhanana wa ta'ala gave back IM Hussein.
[14:34]Now some of us ask how did Im Hussein receive this much
[14:41]love from God where until today thousands and millions of people they're
[14:46]they remember I im Hussein and they walk to the shrine of
[14:49]Imam Hussein and millions of people are being fed.
[14:52]Now, as we are as we are sitting here, there are thousands
[14:57]and hundreds and thousands of people that are walking from all over
[15:02]the world towards Kbalah to go and say Salam to Im Hussein,
[15:05]a man who was killed a little bit less than,400 years ago.
[15:12]Where does this come from?
[15:13]This is God's way of paying back imus.
[15:17]Because Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says that the m the believer is
[15:24]worthy of being loved and therefore Allah will love the believer.
[15:27]Allah says in the Quran those who do good deeds and they
[15:40]have faith Allah will make them attractive to others.
[15:41]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala you know there are the laws of attraction.
[15:45]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala places love and attraction and gravitation towards the
[15:52]m.
[15:52]The mmin is loved.
[15:55]Sometimes you might love someone, you might look at someone and you
[15:59]feel gravitated towards this person but you don't know why.
[16:03]This is Allah subhanana wa ta'ala putting love in the hearts of
[16:09]people towards those who do good deed and good deeds.
[16:11]Those who have faith and they do good deeds today all over
[16:19]the world billions of people why do they love for example Jesus
[16:22]why do we love Jesus why do we love Moses why do
[16:28]we love Abraham Noah why because they were people of God they
[16:31]were do people that did good and Allah subhana wa ta places
[16:39]the love towards the is why misam Allah tells I made people
[16:46]love you.
[16:47]I made people be attracted to you even when you were a
[16:49]young man.
[16:51]And this is one of the greatest ways.
[16:55]Why did Allah subhana wa ta'ala make those who spread the message
[16:58]of Islam and the message of God?
[17:02]Why is there an association between them and love?
[17:04]Like why why do people love the people of God?
[17:09]Right now, for example, you might have a teacher.
[17:11]You benefit from this teacher, but you don't really love this teacher.
[17:14]You don't really feel close to this teacher.
[17:17]But the people of God, Allah, the imams of the B, the
[17:22]prophets, we love them.
[17:22]We are attracted to them.
[17:23]Why?
[17:24]Because Allah subhana wa ta'ala knows that that is the most powerful
[17:29]form of influence that you could have on a person.
[17:32]When someone loves you or when you love someone, you're going to
[17:38]do whatever it takes for this person.
[17:38]They're going to do whatever it is for you.
[17:41]This is why today you see people they love Im Hussein.
[17:47]They're walking.
[17:46]Some people are walking for two, three days.
[17:50]They're walking 80 miles, 90 miles, 100 more or less.
[17:55]And you tell them, "Are you exhausted?" They say, "Yes, my feet
[17:58]are all sore." Are you tired?
[18:00]Yes.
[18:00]It's I just checked the weather in Kbal.
[18:04]It's like 104 degrees right now.
[18:05]you.
[18:06]But people are walking and they're continuously walking and nothing stops them.
[18:10]You tell them, "Are you tired?" They say, "Yes." "Do you want
[18:13]to stop?" They say, "No." Why?
[18:15]Because I'm driven by love.
[18:18]That's it.
[18:17]And Allah subhanana wa ta'ala places that love.
[18:20]This is why Ibraimisam, Prophet Ibraim, when he brought his family and
[18:25]he placed them in Mecca, he did a dua.
[18:28]He says, He says, "Let the hearts of the people be attracted
[18:41]towards my children and my progeny." Because Ibraim knows that that's the
[18:45]only way that the message will be spread.
[18:49]Im Hussein, he had that loving relationship with God and therefore Allah
[18:54]subhanana wa ta'ala puts the love in the hearts of millions of
[18:57]people towards him.
[19:00]You know I im Hussein during his life they say that he
[19:03]along with his son along with his brother Im Hassan they used
[19:09]to walk to perform the Hajj they used to walk to perform
[19:15]the Hajj from Medina all the way to Mecca they're walking and
[19:19]the Imisam is walking with all of the all of the um
[19:25]the horses and camels and livestock.
[19:27]They're all with him.
[19:28]Meaning he could ride.
[19:30]He could ride a camel.
[19:30]He could ride a horse.
[19:30]Whatever he wants.
[19:32]But the Imam Alisam would not do that.
[19:35]And they would tell him.
[19:35]They would tell him, "Why don't you ride?" He would say, "I'm
[19:41]embarrassed.
[19:42]I feel shame to ride while I go to my master." And
[19:44]this is how we see the zir of Imam Hussein.
[19:49]Those who walk to the grave of Imam Hussein, they walk.
[19:53]And you tell them, "Why don't you ride?
[19:55]Why don't you do something that will be more comfortable?" They say
[19:58]I feel embarrassed.
[19:58]This is how I want to go to my master.
[20:02]We ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to grant us that love with
[20:10]God and the love with those who bring us closer to Allah
[20:14]subhanahu wa ta'ala so that our iman could be stronger because that
[20:22]is the greatest form of gravitation.
[20:25]Imakis he was asked what is greater fear the power of fear
[20:28]or the power of love?
[20:31]He says no the power of love is much stronger.
[20:32]Right now for example you find some of kids you could either
[20:38]scare them into doing something or you could get them motivated by
[20:42]getting them to love what they want what you want them to
[20:46]do.
[20:45]That is a the power of love is much stronger because the
[20:49]moment fear is lifted then you see people they go back to
[20:52]their lifestyle.
[20:53]But if you get them to love get your kids this is
[20:57]why I tell people get your kids to love salah get your
[20:59]kids to love coming to the masjid get your kids to love
[21:03]practicing the religion of Islam then that means that's it you you
[21:07]have forever guaranteed that they're going to always practice it.
[21:11]But if you're imposing certain things on them through fear, the moment
[21:16]that fear is lifted, they're going to change.
[21:19]So we ask Allah subhanana wa ta'ala to strengthen that love because
[21:23]that love is definitely reciprocated, especially if it is a love for
[21:29]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala.
[21:43]Allham.
[21:54]Alhamdulillah.
[21:56]Alhamdulillah.
[22:23]Aliuhammed Ali Muhammadu Ali Muhammad Say Hassini Hussein Muhammad Ali Muhammad Hassniham.
[23:29]Amen.
[23:33]>> Allah subhana wa ta'ala says in the Quran.
[23:42]Continuing the discussion on love and who to love.
[23:49]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala says in the Quran that all relationships or
[23:56]most relationships are going to bring regret and many of them will
[24:04]turn into animosity on the day of judgment.
[24:06]Meaning you're going to say why was I friends with this person?
[24:11]I wasted my life with this person.
[24:13]This this was not a healthy relationship.
[24:16]This relationship was not worth my time.
[24:18]Allah says relationships will turn into animosity except the relationships that were
[24:31]built upon the relationship with Allah subhana wa t'ala.
[24:34]Except the relationship that was built upon closeness to Allah subhanahu wa
[24:40]ta'ala.
[24:41]That is a relationship that you will not regret.
[24:44]The relationship that is built upon the satisfaction of Allah subhanaa tala.
[24:50]Now of course many relationships in our lives we could turn those
[24:56]relationships into a relationship that is based upon God.
[24:58]You're not doing it purely for yourself.
[25:00]For example even between a husband and wife.
[25:05]You could either love your wife love your husband just because you
[25:09]want to love them.
[25:11]Or you could say, I love them because it's also an act
[25:15]of bringing me closer to Allah subhana wa t'ala.
[25:16]Therefore, this becomes a relationship that brings you closer to God.
[25:20]And this is what God tells you.
[25:22]Allah tell says that a husband should take care of his wife.
[25:26]A wife should take care of her husband because of God.
[25:27]You're doing it.
[25:29]Now, it's a relationship built upon God.
[25:31]I raise my children because I I have a natural instinct to
[25:35]raise my children or I raise them because Allah subhana wa ta'ala
[25:40]has made it a responsibility upon me and Allah tells me this
[25:43]is what you do and this is how you do it now
[25:46]I do it for the sake of Allah subhana wa tala I
[25:49]go out with a friend to have coffee this friend is a
[25:51]mman this friend is a believer if I'm just doing it just
[25:56]to have fun that's one thing but if I tweak the intention
[25:58]that I have change my intention a little and I say I'm
[26:02]doing this because this person is a mu and I want to
[26:04]spend time with a mu and bringing pleasure and happiness to a
[26:08]mu is something that brings you closer to Allah.
[26:09]Now it becomes a relationship built upon Allah subhana wa tala.
[26:17]So these are very small ways that we could change our intentions
[26:20]and Allah subhana wa ta'ala will reward you in your life based
[26:23]on your intentions.
[26:25]Now my dear brothers and sisters when we love God this love
[26:29]should be very clear but a lot of us when we come
[26:34]and we say I love Imam Hussein I love God I love
[26:38]the prophet it just stops it there that's it just I I
[26:40]love this person and I don't do anything Allah says no your
[26:45]love has to be manifested into actions and Allah says in the
[26:51]Quran if you truly love God then you have to follow the
[26:57]prophet and if you love the prophet then you have to obey
[27:03]his orders by loving the B by obeying the orders of the
[27:07]BIM and when you give that type of love you see that
[27:10]it will give back just as the love of Im Hussein towards
[27:15]God he was given back and today when we love Im Hussein
[27:18]we see that we benefit from this love someone might ask what
[27:22]do I get out of loving IM Hussein what do I get
[27:27]out of the malis for IM Hussein.
[27:27]The least thing that we get is to live a life of
[27:32]dignity and honor and today we see the followers of Im Hussein
[27:39]and the followers of the B wherever they are in the world
[27:41]they live a life of dignity and honor.
[27:45]Right now there are 53 Muslim majority countries.
[27:51]There are 53 countries that are ruled by Muslims.
[27:54]But you see that the mus the countries that are ruled by
[27:59]the followers of the B and they are predominantly the followers of
[28:03]the you see they are the ones that are standing against the
[28:07]crimes that are going on in Gaza.
[28:09]While the majority of the Muslim Muslim world, we're not talking about
[28:13]non-Muslims.
[28:14]The majority of the Muslim world are silent.
[28:17]They're not doing anything about it.
[28:19]Right now it's going to be two years for this genocide, for
[28:22]this suffering, for the bombing that's going on day and night.
[28:26]But you see that these rulers, they are every day, you see,
[28:33]they're they're trying to strengthen their relationship with the Zionist.
[28:37]They're trying to strengthen their ties and it's as if they're living
[28:41]in a totally different world.
[28:42]This is the m this is our catastrophe where you see the
[28:47]leaders of the Muslim world.
[28:48]They are the ones that are okay and they are the ones
[28:52]that are giving the green light to the suffering that is going
[28:55]on.
[28:56]And here we are reminded once again why we remember IM Hussein
[28:59]and why we cry for IM Hussein and how Imam Hussein gives
[29:04]us honor and dignity and because Imam Hussein he did not revolt
[29:07]and stand against a non-Muslim.
[29:09]He stood against someone who was claiming to be a Muslim, claiming
[29:15]to rule in the name of the Quran and in the name
[29:16]of the prophet.
[29:18]Yet he was not practicing any of the values of Islam.
[29:21]And the remembrance of Imam Hussein and the legacy of Im Hussein,
[29:30]it is what keeps that feeling of standing against injustice and standing
[29:36]against those who do wrong.
[29:38]This is what keeps it alive in the hearts of the without
[29:42]imam Hussein we wouldn't be doing that without im Hussein who would
[29:45]be standing against the injustice people would all be saying it's okay
[29:48]a few days ago I saw a clip of someone who started
[29:54]out loud next to thea and haram started praying for Palestine and
[29:59]praying for the people of Gaza is that a crime to do
[30:03]dua to cry to to cry and to raise your voice and
[30:07]to ask Allah subhana wa t'ala to save the people of Gaza.
[30:09]Is that a crime?
[30:11]But you see, as soon as he did that, 5 seconds later,
[30:13]the authorities came and he was silenced.
[30:15]This is the problem.
[30:18]This is the problem that in these most sacred places of worship,
[30:22]Muslims don't even have a right to pray for Gaza, let alone
[30:25]do something for Gaza.
[30:27]And this is why we continuously remind ourselves why we need Imm
[30:33]Hussein in our lives.
[30:34]Why the stance and the position and the revolt of Imam Hussein
[30:40]was an honorable one and one that continues to live and we
[30:43]are in continuous need of the story of Im Hussein is not
[30:48]an irrelevant one that is not is is disconnected with our lives.
[30:51]No, it is very much connected with our lives.
[30:54]In the z of Im Hussein on the day of next week
[30:56]inshallah you all recite the z one sentence in the z the
[31:03]imisam talks about Im Hussein.
[31:04]He says, "Im Hussein gave the blood of his life to rescue
[31:21]people.
[31:20]Rescue the the servants of God and the people from what?
[31:27]from ignorance and the confusion of being astray.
[31:36]My dear brothers and sisters, we pray for the Muslim world to
[31:40]be liberated, to have liberated hearts and imam Hussein is the one
[31:44]that liberates those hearts and those minds when we remember Imam Hussein.
[31:48]And this is why there's an insistence on the z of Im
[31:53]Hussein.
[31:53]We ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to protect you all.
[31:55]We ask Allah to protect the z of Im Hussein those who
[32:01]are on their way visiting the Imam.
[32:02]We ask Allah subhana wa ta'ala to bring peace and stability across
[32:10]the Muslim world in Gaza in in Lebanon in Syria all over
[32:13]the Muslim world in Iraq wherever there is turmoil and there's suffering
[32:17]in Yemen we ask Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to alleviate the pain
