[2:09]on this night as we honor the eldest son of Al IM

[2:15]Al Hussein this great warrior ofala I would like to shed light

[2:27]on his maternal ancestry to honor this great hero this great warrior

[2:35]this flower of the heart of IM Hussein ALB is the son

[2:44]of IM Hussein and his mother is Leila Leila comes from a

[2:52]very Noble family she is the granddaughter of one of the great

[2:57]Companions of the prophet sallallahu alaihi her grandfather was in our discussion

[3:09]tonight I would like to share with you the legacy of this

[3:16]great companion for there are many lessons to learn from his life

[3:22]and Legacy and in doing so I would like to honor and

[3:27]pay tribute to for he comes from this amazing lineage from his

[3:33]mother's side as for his paternal lineage we all know that he

[3:37]goes back to so who isii comes from the famous tribe ofif

[3:57]thif was based inif T is not too far from Mecca today

[4:05]it's about an hour's drive from the holy city of Mecca this

[4:09]was a very significant tribe and many important individuals in history came

[4:15]from this tribe if you are familiar with alar alar came from

[4:24]this tribe alari he came from the tribe of and so alar

[4:30]is a cousin of Lea the mother of Al the brothers OFA

[4:39]Leila's grandfather were also righteous Companions and servants who served the religion

[4:48]of Islam they found the light of guidance and they led a

[4:56]Wonderful Life Allah subhanahu wa taala interestingly in the Holy Quran refers

[5:03]to and that is in verse 31 one day the pagans they

[5:12]come to the prophet sallallahu alaih in Mecca Abdullah he was representing

[5:22]the pagans in having dialogue with the prophet in verbally confronting the

[5:26]prophet so he came to the prophet sallallahu alaihi and he told

[5:32]him I want to have an intellectual argument with you you have

[5:36]to prove that you are a prophet so I have a number

[5:41]of objections the prophet said bring your objections what objection do you

[5:47]have he told the prophet sallallah alai you cannot be a prophet

[5:51]he told him why why can I not be a prophet he

[5:56]said because you're not a king you're not wealthy if God wanted

[5:59]to to send a messenger he would choose an angel to be

[6:02]his messenger or at least he would choose a king but I

[6:07]see that you don't have an army you don't have wealth you

[6:12]grew up an orphan so you can't really be the messenger of

[6:15]God I have seen Kings like the king of the Romans and

[6:23]the king of the Persians when they send a messenger they send

[6:28]a wealthy messenger a messenger who's got property and God is the

[6:33]king of kings so if he's going to choose a messenger he

[6:36]would choose someone wealthy he would choose someone more influential than you

[6:40]who are you so that does not make any sense for us

[6:46]I cannot accept that you are the messenger of God look at

[6:51]the mentality of those pagans they were stuck in a materialistic mentality

[6:58]to them if you had social status if you had money you

[7:00]were close to God God had favored you but if you were

[7:05]poor if you grew up an orphan then God had nothing to

[7:07]do with you this was their sick corrupt mentality did he stop

[7:15]there he further continued to challenge the prophet he told him and

[7:21]if you really want us to believe in you then create a

[7:26]ladder now and go into the heavens let's see you rise to

[7:31]the cloud or create a garden here in the middle of the

[7:35]desert this is all mentioned in the Holy Quran or bring the

[7:41]Angels let's see them even more than that or bring God himself

[7:44]let's see God look at these outrageous demands and then maybe we'll

[7:54]choose to believe in you or not even then if you do

[7:57]all these things there's no guarantee that we're going to believe in

[8:04]you then we'll decide but for now you're a nobody we're not

[8:07]going to believe in you and you are under the spell of

[8:15]magic M this was the argument of the pagans with can you

[8:18]see what the prophet had to go through my dear brothers and

[8:26]you're not an angel you're not a king at least we expect

[8:30]you expect you to be one of the Great Men of two

[9:50]the response of the Prophet sallallahu alaihi The Prophet told him are

[9:58]you have to respond he tells him first of all you want

[10:08]and the king of the Romans does does the average person have

[10:13]access to them is that what you want God will choose someone

[10:43]which Miracles y Allah he told him look I have no Army

[10:49]I grew up as an orphan I have I don't have the

[10:55]money that you want me to have yet you cannot kill me

[10:57]you cannot stop my message and you cannot stop The Message of

[11:03]Islam isn't that a miracle you are trying mechans to stop me

[11:06]with all your might with all your power you've been unsuccessful so

[11:09]far you failed to do that isn't that a is that not

[11:15]a miracle tell me materialistically what do I have I don't have

[11:17]money I don't have an army I have nothing materialistically yet I'm

[11:20]achieving success and Allah is protecting me that is my miracle and

[11:24]that indeed truly is one of the Miracles of Al many times

[11:30]my dear brothers and sisters in our lives we kind of have

[11:33]that mechan attitude show us a miracle show us a lad into

[11:40]heaven do something magically sometimes we challenge Allah subhana wa tala oh

[11:44]Allah I want to see a miracle happen in my life so

[11:50]I believe in you sometimes we develop that arrogance Subhan Allah there

[11:56]is the story of the Australian convert Ruben if you have have

[12:00]not seen his story go tonight go on YouTube and look it

[12:06]up just put in these words Muslim convert Australia Ruben put these

[12:10]search words and you will see him speak about his conversion story

[12:13]he grew up in Sydney Australia initially he grew up as a

[12:17]Christian but he had questions no one was able to answer him

[12:22]so he stopped believing and then he searched for many religions but

[12:25]he could not find answers to his questions until one day one

[13:32]like a thousand years ago so how does it have these answers

[13:37]I told him that's the miracle of the Quran any question that

[13:39]you can think of somehow Allah subhah wa ta'ala has embedded it

[13:43]in the Quran Allah has contained it in the Quran he says

[13:54]I was mesmerized by these answers I took the Holy Quran to

[13:59]my house but I struggled L I didn't really read it I

[14:02]didn't really think this could be the religion of God until one

[14:06]day I was holding on to a thin line in my room

[14:08]I was losing my faith I challenged God I said God show

[14:13]me a sign that you exist it's like I was waiting for

[14:17]something to happen anything a book to fall from my shelf a

[14:24]thunderstorm out of nowhere anything Ya Allah Just A Sign God just

[14:28]a sign he said I waited silence nothing he said finally I

[14:35]challenged God I told him God this is your last chance if

[14:38]you want me to believe you better show me a sign otherwise

[14:42]you're going to lose me he's like I was really hoping God

[14:45]would show me a sign pitch silence nothing happened he says I

[14:52]got frustrated I said let me open this book these Muslims they

[14:55]came they claim this is from God let me open it he

[14:59]says for the first time I open open the Quran my eyes

[15:03]fall on when God is talking about the signs and amongst the

[15:08]signs of God is that he's created you from clay different colors

[15:12]different languages he's created Partners in whom you find tranquility and suon

[15:19]and Allah talks about these Grand signs the creation of the Heaven

[15:22]and the Earth he says I read this page it moved me

[15:27]to the core I felt as if the Quran was telling me

[15:32]you are surrounded by millions of signs that's not enough for you

[15:35]you still want a million and one sign is that how arrogant

[15:40]you are he says in that moment I said sometimes we're always

[15:53]looking for that sign Allah has inundated you with signs no he's

[15:57]drowned you with signs what do you want every cell in your

[16:02]body is a sign look at the Sunrise look at the sunset

[16:04]look at the beautiful terrain of a mountain of an ocean of

[16:09]a lake who crafted that where did that beauty come from you

[16:12]still want more signs that's what the pagans said to the prophet

[16:16]sallallahu alai in Mecca but the prophet gave them the answer you

[16:23]want Miracles my existence is a miracle my survival is a miracle

[16:27]all of your power you're using didn't get to stop me and

[16:29]you can't that's a miracle accept this miracle from Allah subhah wa

[16:36]ta'ala but of course they had so much evil hatred in their

[16:39]hearts so in this verse Allah refers to a tribal leader in

[16:47]Mecca who was Pure Evil Al the father of Khaled and Allah

[16:52]refers to the tribal leader of and this man Allah subhana wa

[17:00]taala eventually guided his heart to Islam and he became one of

[17:03]the very good Companions of the Prophet sallallah alai Al so let's

[17:09]better understand who is he is the grandfather of and on this

[17:15]night as we honor the legacy of ALB let's see who his

[17:22]maternal grandfather is I will share with you two instances from his

[17:26]life two legacies that he left for us the First Legacy ofb

[17:33]was at the peace treaty of hudia year six of the Hijra

[17:41]the prophet sallallahu alai Al takes his companions towards Mecca some Reports

[17:47]say about 1,400 companions joined the Prophet sallallahu alaihi The Prophet told

[17:54]them let's go do pilgrimage let's go do the so they did

[17:57]not carry the swords to indicate that that were not here to

[18:00]fight so when they reached hudia which is not far from Mecca

[18:06]the pagans stopped them what do you think you're doing we're coming

[18:11]here for the Kaa isn't it the house of Allah we have

[18:13]the right to come and do our pilgrimage the pacans said no

[18:18]impossible we're not going to let you enter our city and do

[18:20]your pilgrimage we don't even trust you what if you Ambush us

[18:23]and you suddenly kill us so they send a number of Messengers

[18:27]to negotiate with the prophet one of them was BD BD negotiates

[18:32]with the prophet he comes back to qu he tells him look

[18:38]this man is not here to fight he genuinely is here to

[18:39]do his let him what's the big deal they're like no no

[18:43]no no we don't trust him let's send another Messer so Among

[18:47]The Messengers chooses is now at this point had not embraced Islam

[18:54]he was not a Muslim yet and qur had brainwashed him he

[18:59]did not really know who the prophet was he had heard about

[19:04]this man who claims to be a prophet but he never met

[19:06]him personally he never interacted with him but was a decent human

[19:13]being he was an honorable man he was just and he was

[19:16]fair so qur they tell him we want to choose you as

[19:22]the messenger to nego to negotiate with Muhammad was reluctant he told

[19:36]them you're going to choose me as a messenger and then if

[19:38]I come up with a suggestion I'm afraid you're not going to

[19:43]accept my suggestion they're like no please go and speak to him

[19:45]he says okay let me go speak to him let me verify

[19:50]whether Bud's argument is true or not BD is saying this man

[19:57]does not want war he just wants to peacefully do his om

[20:05]we love you and you represent all of qur he says okay

[20:10]so he goes to meet the prophet sallallah alai initially using his

[20:15]Arts of diplomacy he tried to weaken the morale of the Prophet

[20:19]remember he's brainwashed by qur he doesn't really know who this man

[20:22]is he's like look do you really want to enter Mecca and

[20:27]fight your people that's pretty shameful who wants to fight his own

[20:31]people in their Hometown so I don't really recommend you enter Mecca

[20:34]go back secondly your companions who are they I don't even recognize

[20:40]them they're a bunch of weak people they don't come from any

[20:45]influential tribes so take my advice and go back let's avoid this

[20:49]predicament here let's avoid this dilemma he thought he could dissuade the

[20:55]prophet and respectfully threaten the prophet the prophet sallallah alai told him

[21:02]I'm not here to fight look at us do we like do

[21:06]we look like Fighters do we look like we're carrying weapons to

[21:08]fight we just want to do the that's all and then AWA

[21:16]starts to have a change of heart when he sees the way

[21:24]the prophet spoke to him his his demeanor it really moved him

[21:27]he had never ever seen someone like that really touched his heart

[21:35]he began to think what if I'm brainwashed he doesn't seem to

[21:39]be an evil person he seems to be a very good person

[21:41]and then what shocked is that he saw the companions of the

[21:46]Prophet showing utmost respect for him so he goes back to qur

[21:54]he tells them look I've always been sincere to you do you

[21:57]acknowledge that or not they're like yeah you've always been sincere to

[22:02]us he told them I have advice for you I've never seen

[22:04]a man like him the level of respect that his companions show

[22:10]for him is unprecedented I've seen Kings like kesra the King of

[22:14]Persia I've seen Caesar the king of Rome no one is respected

[22:17]like this man and he's not a king his companions would not

[22:24]speak if he speaks they lower their gaze out of their respect

[22:26]for this man I've never seen that anywhere and I even saw

[22:33]something more shocking when he did w the drops of water would

[22:36]fall from his blessed body his companions would fight to seek the

[22:43]Baraka and the blessings from his wo I've never seen something like

[22:49]that in my life and by the way this is documented in

[22:54]Sunni sources that the companions fought for the water that would drop

[23:00]from his body and this is proof that the prophets of God

[23:03]and their successors are blessed by Allah unfortunately there are some Muslims

[23:07]if you seek the Baraka from the Masjid of the Prophet from

[23:13]The Shrine of the imams immediately they accuse you sh sh hold

[23:16]on hold on who Sunnah are you following if that's shik then

[23:21]what the companions did was shik too what are you doing seeking

[23:26]the blessing of the prophet's body or his hair or the drops

[23:32]of water how come that's okay because they are blessed just like

[23:36]Allah blessed the shirt of prophet yfam Allah put the power of

[23:39]healing in it that's why when y who's a prophet he put

[23:45]that shirt on his face Allah gave him back his eyesight there

[23:49]is Baraka in objects that are blessed by the prophets and the

[23:56]imams this is not sh in fact bukari b a number of

[24:02]sun sources they have narrated that Sal had a jar with some

[24:05]strands of the prophet's hair when someone in Medina would become sick

[24:12]or struck with something they would take that hair and they would

[24:16]put it in a glass of water and they would tell him

[24:18]to drink it he would drink it and he would be healed

[24:21]this is bukari it's not coffe this bukari so if I go

[24:26]to the Shrine of the Prophet or Shrine of IM husse saying

[24:30]I'm worshiping Allah but if I touch the shrine and seek the

[24:33]blessings why am I accused of sh on the day of judgment

[24:36]those who accuse of shik will have to stand before and justify

[24:42]their position this is the evidence in our books my dear brothers

[24:46]and sisters in all Muslim books the sahaba would constantly seek the

[24:50]Baraka of the prophet's clothes of the prophet's hair of the prophet's

[24:55]body of the drops of water that fall from his blessed body

[24:59]so he tells qur I have advice for you don't fight this

[25:03]man it's not good to fight him he's aided all I know

[25:11]he's being supported it's not good for you and your future to

[25:14]fight him negotiate with him let him do the they reject his

[25:19]offer they're arrogant the Pagan meccans are just extremely arrogant but you

[25:25]see the fairness in this man when he saw the prophet argument

[25:29]he had no stubbornness in his heart quickly Allah opened his heart

[25:36]for guidance he did not argue with the prophet back and forth

[25:39]and come up with outrageous demands he negotiated very fairly and very

[25:45]properly even though initially remember he was brainwashed he came to demoralize

[25:50]the prophet but when he saw the H he accepted it he

[25:55]showed leniency and that's a beautiful trait to have in a mmin

[25:59]brothers and sisters when you argue when you have different perspectives try

[26:02]to be fair try to understand where the other person is coming

[26:07]from husbands wives when you fight with each other calm down for

[26:18]times when we get into fights we're not even willing to listen

[26:24]to the other side listen just see what the other side has

[26:27]to say don't quickly prejudge that person and dismiss their argument when

[26:34]we talk with one another we have to have with one another

[26:39]the angels are recording some of us unfortunately we think if I'm

[26:44]in my house and I get angry I can say whatever I

[26:46]want to my wife cuss words cuss her family out threaten her

[26:52]okay threaten her today tomorrow in the grave the angels of Allah

[26:56]will scare you to death well you're already dead but there they

[27:00]will scare your soul to death Allah is writing all these words

[27:05]on the day of judgment you will have to stand before Al

[27:09]and your book of deeds will be read you said this to

[27:14]your wife in D you the wife you insulted your husband like

[27:17]that in dun are you ready okay if you're ready fine if

[27:20]you're thick skinned and you can handle the day of judgment and

[27:23]you have no ha on the day of judgment you'll stand before

[27:26]the prophet that's that's up to you let's be fair when we

[27:31]talk to one another my dear brothers and sisters have that Rah

[27:35]have that Humanity in your heart when we have disputes with family

[27:39]members friends with our spouse don't engage in character assassination and destroy

[27:47]the character of your spouse if your spouse did something wrong quietly

[27:51]address it tell your spouse I love you I pray for you

[27:56]I wish the best for you you're my spouse but this act

[27:59]was called for this act for one two three reasons was not

[28:05]a proper act can we work on addressing it using this language

[28:10]will get you results be fair children when you talk to parents

[28:14]parents when you talk to Children understand one another see where you

[28:21]are coming from that will Bridge the generation gap that we have

[28:25]these days we have a problem with the generation gap the teenagers

[28:29]don't understand their parents they think they're illogical and the parents don't

[28:34]understand their children sometimes they think they were born on different planets

[28:40]try to be understanding as much as you can try to be

[28:46]fair if you are fair with those around you Allah will have

[28:49]mercy on you Allah will be fair to you so this is

[28:55]the first Legacy that we find from the life of this great

[29:00]companion of the prophet and this great grandfather of even though he

[29:04]was brainwashed he was fair he listened to the prophet and then

[29:09]he left qur he's like if you are being stubborn I'm going

[29:11]to leave I'm not part of this I'm not going to be

[29:15]against this man now unfortunately they blocked the prophet from entering Mecca

[29:19]but the prophet made a treaty with them that next year the

[29:23]following year they would go to Mecca and they did the lapsed

[29:27]this this is one stance from the life of the second Legacy

[29:35]that we find for him my dear brothers and sisters is how

[29:38]he achieved shahada remember he's the leader of wood tribe of Ben

[29:46]in the prophet sallallah alai early on in Islam had a very

[29:55]bitter experience in after the prophet loses his two great great supporters

[30:02]Abu the prophet is now looking for supporters anyone to support Islam

[30:11]so from Mecca he goes to T and he meets the community

[30:13]of T because remember T had one of the three main Idols

[30:19]so it was a very important city the prophet goes to introduce

[30:22]Islam to them you know what they did to the prophet they

[30:29]took Stones they stole the prophet they insulted the prophet such that

[30:32]he had to run for his life had to run for his

[30:37]life they almost killed him in a that's how much hatred some

[30:40]of these pagans had for the messenger of Allah unfortunately so the

[30:46]prophet he enters th he leaves no one supports him but even

[30:51]in that mission to there's a lesson for us my dear brothers

[30:57]and sisters some of you wonder why would Allah have the prophet

[30:59]go to when the result was failure meaning no one supported him

[31:04]they just stoned him and he left sometimes Allah is showing you

[31:11]and that's a beautiful lesson for us that in your life sometimes

[31:15]you will fail meaning you will not get the desired result you

[31:20]want immediately that's a trial for you sometimes Allah tries us through

[31:26]failure Allah's training you or Allah is trying in you Allah is

[31:30]testing your patience he's testing your IM some people when they fail

[31:33]they lose hope Kal it's the end of the world for them

[31:37]it's okay you didn't get this job be patient inallah next month

[31:40]you'll get the job that you want not next month next year

[31:44]it's not the end of the universe Habibi job the job does

[31:47]not summarize existence you failed this exam it's okay take it again

[31:53]you failed it twice take it again what's the big deal it's

[31:56]okay as long as you're working hard you're doing your part don't

[32:02]lose patience are you greater or the prophet sallallahu alaih he went

[32:07]to T no one supported him does that mean that the prophet

[32:09]he failed of course not he's the most successful human being Allah

[32:14]has ever created but the prophet's Legacy shows you that sometimes you'll

[32:20]reach a dead end it's okay come up with Plan B hope

[32:24]in the mercy of Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala so the prophet had

[32:31]a bitter experience with but things change come to year nine of

[32:39]the hij after the battle of H he has a chance to

[32:45]better understand Islam and the religion of Islam penetrates his heart so

[32:49]he comes to Medina to meet the prophet when he meets the

[32:55]prophet he tells him Yol Allah I have read about Islam Islam

[32:58]and I love this message and I have come to tell you

[33:03]I have become a Muslim and I bear witness that there is

[33:05]no God but Allah and that you Muhammad are the messenger of

[33:14]Allah so we find and his brothers and later his sons they

[33:22]all become Muslim and they support the prophet and by the Way's

[33:28]family was instrumental in supporting IM Ali later for instance had a

[33:34]brother by the name of IMI trusted s so much he appointed

[33:39]him as the governor of mad and IM Ali has a letter

[33:46]in which he Praises you wish the IM would write something like

[33:54]that to you the Imam thanks him for being righteous for having

[33:58]tawa and then the Imam tells him you have satisfied your lord

[34:05]and you have satisfied your Imam what an honor what an honor

[34:09]to satisfy the prophet what an honor it is to satisfy the

[34:14]Imam of your time is this on our mind every morning my

[34:16]dear brothers and sisters when we wake up in the morning the

[34:20]stock market is on our mind the school the work everything is

[34:22]on our mind what I want to cook in the afternoon that's

[34:27]on my mind what outdoor activity I want to do that's on

[34:30]my mind what type of fish do I want to fish that's

[34:35]on my mind everything's on my mind except one thing am I

[34:40]really pleasing Allah am I pleasing the IM of my time or

[34:45]no do we really care about this how often do we truly

[34:50]ask ourselves this question gives him this medal of honor he tells

[34:58]him what a beautiful statement from the Im so he meets the

[35:06]prophet he becomes Muslim then he tells him Yol Allah I now

[35:08]want to go back to my city T I'm the chief of

[35:11]T and I want to invite them to Islam the prophet tells

[35:15]him don't go he says why he says they'll kill you they're

[35:22]vicious they're going to kill you he says kill me never impossible

[35:26]they love me so so much I'm so spoiled in everybody loves

[35:32]me if I'm asleep no one would dare to wake me up

[35:35]they love me more than their firstborn children the Arabs L loved

[35:41]their firstborn children more than other children that was their culture and

[35:44]mentality so he tells the prophet they love me more than their

[35:50]firstborn children impossible they're not going to kill me the prophet tells

[35:54]him please don't go they will hurt you he keeps begging and

[35:57]begging and begging finally the prophet sallallahu alaih gives him permission he

[36:02]says okay if you insist go but I've told you the outcome
