[18:57]for [Music] Allah [Music] [Music] m muhamad Salam alaykum everybody I would
[20:48]like to welcome you all back to our nightly Ramadan program uh
[20:51]before we get started I just have a few quick announcements uh
[20:55]first we would like to thank all the sponsors who sponsored tonight's
[21:01]nightly program um theid family zun um and then uh somebody who
[21:07]sponsored on all the Believers and the Muslim so if I could
[21:11]just get everybody to recite on behalf of all the if anybody
[21:26]would like to sponsor any of the upcoming night please see brother
[21:30]Hassan or any of the other board members to get that taken
[21:33]care of um and one more thing before I call up say
[21:37]uh alhamdulillah we have a sister that would like to convert tonight
[21:43]she wants to take her shahada so say Salah if you could
[21:44]please come up to the podium and we can have the sister
[21:50]join us as well after our loud Muhammad Muhammad sister please join
[21:59]us you're all well today we have good news and alhamdulillah sister
[22:13]Gabriela santian right okay good um sister Gabriella will would like to
[22:19]join the religion of Islam and I spoke with her this is
[22:25]after over two years of research alhamdulillah right over two years of
[22:31]research and searching and do uh learning about the religion of Islam
[22:37]alhamdulillah today she is deciding on making that decision in her life
[22:41]and I asked her what made you what made you make the
[22:46]decision today she gave an answer which I find a lot of
[22:49]people um they struggle with this sometimes and that is she said
[22:54]I was worried that I'm going to have to be perfect after
[22:56]I joined the religion of Islam and I told her none of
[23:01]us are perfect we all we all are on that Journey towards
[23:05]Allah subhah wa ta'ala and everyone can be on their own pace
[23:10]in this journey Allah subhana wa ta'ala is welcoming Allah is loving
[23:14]Allah is compassionate and everyone could be on their own pace in
[23:19]that journey and if anyone thinks that if they are going to
[23:22]if they want to make that decision to become more religious or
[23:26]to embrace the religion of Islam then they have to become perfect
[23:30]from day one and that's the wrong mentality if we have that
[23:33]thinking then no one's going to join and this is why the
[23:38]holy prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam when people would join the religion of
[23:42]Islam he would allow them to come at their own pace and
[23:47]Islam this is how it came down it came down with slowly
[23:51]evolving and becoming um to what it is today so sister Gabriel
[23:55]would you like to say something first or do you want to
[23:59]say the Shah and then okay so come closer please so we're
[24:04]going to say the shahada we're going to say it in Arabic
[24:08]and in English inshallah in English you're going to say I testify
[24:12]I testify that there is no God that there is no God
[24:18]worthy of being worshiped worthy of being worshiped other than Allah other
[24:24]than Allah and I testify and I testify that Prophet Muhammad Prophet
[24:29]Muhammad is his final messenger is his final messenger and I testify
[24:34]and I testify that IM Ali that IM Ali is the successor
[24:40]after the holy prophet is the successor after the now we will
[24:57]say congratulations sister give her a round of applause wait sister and
[25:30]this is a certificate of joining and embracing the religion of Islam
[25:36]we're just going to have um two witnesses inshallah they'll sign it
[25:39]um before you leave inshallah we'll have two sign it would you
[25:44]like to say something okay that's fine welcome welcome sister may Allah
[25:54]bless you now we will begin the lecture inshallah there was a
[26:16]there was a gift a package that we had um I I
[26:22]forgot about that sorry brother Ali please hand her the gift alhamdulillah
[26:57]muhamad [Music] respected brothers and sisters Muhammad Muhammad one of the realities
[27:33]of this life that we are living is death it is a
[27:42]reality that will happen to all of us every single one of
[27:47]us just as everyone has a birth date every person will also
[27:51]have a date of departure from this life and our life is
[28:02]defined by the days that we live on this Earth this is
[28:05]why he says verily you are a number of days just as
[28:14]a book a story is a number of chapters a number of
[28:19]pages in the book our life is also a number of days
[28:26]just as a book has Pages ours has days and hours and
[28:29]and the moment we leave this life we disconnect from everything in
[28:35]this life we disconnect from our wealth we disconnect from our children
[28:44]and our family but then there's one thing that remains with every
[28:47]person and that is the deeds in fact when a person dies
[28:55]and leaves its life the moment the person dies they are totally
[28:59]disconnected from their wealth even if this person was a multi-millionaire was
[29:02]a billionaire the moment they die they they have nothing all of
[29:07]that has transitioned and it has moved on to someone else as
[29:12]for the other thing that follows a person is your children and
[29:15]your family and this is aith from he says when a person
[29:20]three things they have you have your wealth and you have your
[29:26]family the family they follow to the Grave after the grave they're
[29:29]not going to go any further but there is one thing that
[29:32]remains with an individual and will go into the grave with that
[29:37]person and that is the Deeds you have Deeds they will go
[29:44]into the grave and these deeds will furnish the grave for a
[29:48]person according to a Hadith the grave becomes furnished by the Deeds
[29:52]that you place in that grave some people under date of burial
[29:58]they will realize that they have a lot of Deeds that have
[30:02]decorated their grave for them just like you want to move into
[30:04]a house don't you have to furnish the house first and other
[30:09]people they will see that they have not done enough and this
[30:13]is why Imam he talks he sheds light on this he says
[30:28][Music] he says and how can someone be in a worse state
[30:42]is if someone has moved to a grave that is not furnished
[30:48]that is not ready for me why because my actions were not
[30:51]enough because I did not prepare I did not plan for that
[30:56]life and the reality my dear brothers and sisters is that the
[31:03]majority of the people they leave this duny with unfinished business we
[31:09]leave with still there's some things some obligations that need to be
[31:18]done either either obligations towards people maybe for example I borrowed money
[31:23]from someone maybe I hurt someone maybe I insulted someone and I
[31:27]did not apologize to this person I did not matter when a
[32:29]person's going to die writing a will does not mean that I'm
[32:31]going to die soon writing a will just means that I'm ready
[32:37]for that day when it comes and Allah subhanahu wa tala says
[32:40]in the Quran Allah subhah wa ta'ala has made it incumbent now
[33:01]of course whenever we see for example Allah talks in about the
[33:07]month of Ramadan but here every time when it says it would
[33:15]mean that it's except in this case the scholars they say writing
[33:18]a will is not obligatory it means it's not Haram if someone
[33:21]does not however it is extremely recommended and how do we know
[33:29]that because at the end of the verse Allah says meaning this
[33:35]is an obligation if you're a if you're a God conscious person
[33:39]it doesn't say it's something that is upon all of the Muslims
[33:42]if you want to do it you can if you don't you
[33:47]don't have to however it is highly highly recommended he says in
[33:54]aith meaning every Muslim should have a will write something in in
[34:05]in this that they leave behind in another says the meaning the
[34:14]one who does not have is the one who does not have
[34:19]a was meaning the one who leaves without leaving behind a will
[34:24]without leaving behind some sort of document or some sort of message
[34:29]that other will listen to after this person leaves and the was
[34:35]it is a logical thing to do right now imagine you have
[34:41]a business imagine you have a corporation a company whatever it is
[34:46]does it make sense to just leave to just leave everything and
[34:50]go of course not you have to make sure that you have
[34:55]placed someone behind you you have to make sure that things are
[35:00]running smooth when you leave and this is this is uh writing
[35:04]the will this is something that is logically it makes sense to
[35:10]do now how does a person write the will the will it
[35:14]could be either an oral dictation meaning I find someone and I
[35:18]tell this person you are the was meaning I am I talking
[35:22]to you you are the one who's responsible for carrying out my
[35:25]Affairs and you tell this person and you have witnesses around you
[35:30]then this is enough this could be done when someone is on
[35:33]their deathbed or in their life you find someone you tell this
[35:38]person if I die I want you to take care of this
[35:39]this this and have other people be Witnesses have other people testify
[35:46]this is all it takes for a it's not a doesn't have
[35:47]to be something um very formal it could just be you're sitting
[35:53]in a group with friends and you say to someone when I
[35:55]die I want to be buried here I want this to happen
[35:58]I want this to happen and this is a way of uh
[36:03]giving a was and another better way is where you bring lawyers
[36:07]and you actually document it and it's documented and it's written down
[36:12]and this is something that we recommend for everyone especially Living in
[36:15]America when a lot of people when they pass away the government
[36:20]will come and seize and take a lot of your property or
[36:22]your assets if you have not put it in a trust so
[36:26]it's very wise to get a lawyer and write down everything that
[36:34]you want now what is in an Islamic will what should a
[36:38]person put in the Islamic will that is written there's a question
[36:41]a lot of people are like I don't even know what to
[36:44]write what am I going to say in this will the first
[36:48]is the will is a declaration of your beliefs right now if
[36:52]you go and you look at a a generic copy of the
[36:55]will you could find it on the websites of the and you
[36:59]know even the the imams of the they teach you how to
[37:03]do the will a generic copy of a will it begins by
[37:05]stating your beliefs which who do you believe in you say I
[37:10]believe in God I believe in the prophet I believe in the
[37:13]Quran I believe in the day of judgment this is a testament
[37:18]of faith and this is this is something that should always be
[37:20]done right now we had the sister she conducted her shahada this
[37:25]is something that we do every day every day in our prayer
[37:28]we say the sh every day we say every day reaffirm your
[37:36]belief and your values and what you believe in and this is
[37:39]something very important and there's a Dua that is recited for someone
[37:43]that is passing away in their last moments or hours that is
[37:49]also a Dua that basically goes over the beliefs helps the person
[37:53]that's passing away know and acknowledge their values and their beliefs and
[37:58]this is something very important Allah says that ibraim and Y on
[38:04]their deathbed prophet ibraim and Y when they were dying they gathered
[38:08]their children Allah says IIM he did this and what did they
[38:22]say on their deathbed these are prophets of Allah they gathered their
[38:29]children and they say you have been chosen to have this message
[38:32]so don't die except you are Muslim what does Muslim mean Muslim
[38:36]means that you have submitted to Allah subhah wa tala and then
[38:41]Allah says Were You There When Jacob at the time of death
[38:49]what did he say [Music] he asked his son Jacob he asked
[39:08]his sons who do you worship after me they say we worship
[39:10]your lord and the Lord of ibraim and is and is and
[39:15]we are mu meaning we are monotheists and this my dear brothers
[39:20]and sisters is the greatest Legacy a person could leave behind better
[39:25]than leaving behind to your children wealth and leaving behind the houses
[39:29]and the cars and the money leave behind the good leave behind
[39:36]the religion of Islam leave behind the values to your children and
[39:40]to your family and this is the greatest wealth that a person
[39:45]could have in a Hadith in a Hadith from he says the
[39:50]best the best um inheritance the best Earth that a person could
[39:54]leave to his children and his family is adab as good manners
[40:00]is uh having a healthy relationship with Allah subhana T this is
[40:05]the greatest Legacy that a person could have so you write that
[40:10]in your will in your will state your beliefs and order do
[40:13]order your family and your children to continue with that belief so
[40:17]this is one second you write in your will anything that you
[40:24]owe to other people so for example I borrowed money from someone
[40:28]and no one knows about it I borrowed money for a business
[40:33]to get a business started I have to write this down if
[40:37]I have not paid that person back I need to write it
[40:41]down because if I die and this person their ha their right
[40:45]is not given back to them then I will be suffering I
[40:49]will be suffering because I will have stolen money from a person
[40:53]and this is why it's very important if we have taken anything
[40:55]from anyone if we have hurt anyone a lot of times probably
[41:01]people forget what they have borrowed for example a husband when he
[41:06]marries the wife what does he have to give her the Mah
[41:10]often times people they assume that the Mahar needs to be given
[41:13]in case there's a divorce this is wrong the Mah has to
[41:18]be given regardless the Mahar has to be given at the time
[41:21]of the at the time of the when when that was done
[41:25]people they assume that oh I need to give this now if
[41:28]the wife wants to say I don't need it she wants to
[41:30]give up on it that's that's up to her but it's it's
[41:33]a d it's a loan basically you have borrowed this you need
[41:37]to give it back and when a person dies before they come
[41:41]and they divide the money to give the inheritance the first thing
[41:45]that they do is they come and they see where's the money
[41:47]that this person borrowed where are the loans that this person had
[41:52]maybe I borrowed from this person I borrowed from that person Allah
[41:56]says meaning before you come and divide the money the assets based
[42:07]on the inheritance you have to come and see what this person
[42:10]has maybe this person says I want a portion of my money
[42:15]to go here a portion to go there or D or I
[42:16]borrowed money from someone before you come and divide it you have
[42:22]to give the money that was borrowed and this is very important
[42:25]sometimes Maybe I have hurt someone in this life maybe I hit
[42:32]someone you know in Islam we have Dia the laws of Dia
[42:37]what's the laws of Dia if you hit someone and this person
[42:40]their hand becomes red or it becomes blue or this person is
[42:44]bruised you owe that person money that's Islam that's that's equality in
[42:49]Islam now of course if the person comes and says no I
[42:53]don't want that's fine but if you bruise that person now how
[42:56]many people have you guys bruised so far for if you bruise
[42:59]someone then you need to come and give this person unless they
[43:05]come and they say I don't want and there's a Scholars you
[43:08]know it's written and the this from the imams if it became
[43:11]red you need to give this much if it became blue you
[43:13]need to give this much if it became black you need to
[43:17]give this much so this is also money that I have borrowed
[43:19]basically I don't I need to give it back and I'll mention
[43:26]this Hadith I've mentioned it before says he asked the Muslims who
[43:31]is the MU who is the bankrupt person on the day of
[43:32]judgment they tell him I don't know bankrupt is someone who doesn't
[43:38]have money or doesn't have belongings he tells them the bankrupt person
[43:42]on the day of judgment they will come on the day of
[43:48]judgment they have all their prayers they have all of their fasting
[43:53]all of their zakat but he will come he has cursed at
[44:07]this person he stole from this person he hit this person he
[44:10]slandered this person and on the day of judgment this guy came
[44:17]he prayed he fasted he did everything but he hurt people so
[44:21]the day of judgment is a day of Justice Allah is going
[44:24]to say okay to be fair now give this person some reward
[44:29]so they take from the reward of his prayer they take the
[44:31]reward of his Hajj they take the reward of his zakat until
[44:36]this person has oppressed so many people he runs out of reward
[44:39]there's no more Good Deeds so what do they do they say
[44:43]okay now take the bad Deeds from these people take the bad
[44:45]Deeds this person will see that they are bankrupt on the day
[44:50]of judgment they have nothing they thought they did good but they
[44:52]only looked at religion from one dimension they only thought that religion
[44:56]is praying and fasting and worship and that's all that religion is
[44:59]for them they forgot that religion is all about dealing with people
[45:06]religion is all about kindness and compassion and Justice and Equity with
[45:10]other people they forgot that and this is a lot of a
[45:12]lot of people who think they're religious they forget this dimension of
[45:15]religion and this is a very important dimension of religion so you
[45:21]write in your what you have done what needs to be given
[45:23]to other people we said the first thing you write your your
[45:29]beliefs the belief in the prophet the belief in the imams and
[45:31]then you write what needs to be given back to other people
[45:37]what you owe other people third you write what you owe God
[45:41]are there things that we owe God yes some of us we
[45:46]have Salah some of us we have some of us we have
[45:48]Hajj some of us we have fasting days that we have not
[45:53]done if for example the month of Ramadan came and I broke
[45:57]my fast whether it was on purpose or intentional I have to
[46:03]make it up this is something that is important you know the
[46:08]sisters when they're on their uh monthly cycle they do not fast
[46:11]however they have to make it up after the month of Ramadan
[46:15]it needs to be made up Salah there's no excuse to miss
[46:18]prayer but some people they have days and weeks and years of
[46:24]Mis prayer that all needs to be written down in your was
[46:26]now needs to be written down now of course someone might come
[46:31]and say it's you know how is that that you come and
[46:37]if I haven't prayed and I write it down and someone else
[46:41]comes and prays and this is enough for me no this is
[46:45]talking about those people who for example maybe at one point in
[46:49]their life they weren't praying they weren't fasting but then they did
[46:52]Toba then they returned back to Allah and they're trying to make
[46:57]it up but then the AEL came the time of death came
[46:59]at least it's written down at least it's written down that let
[47:04]someone come and make up these prayers let someone come and make
[47:08]up these obligations of course the not all Muslims agree and accept
[47:12]that someone could do your Salah or your s or your for
[47:18]you they only accept Haj someone's allowed to do n but in
[47:21]the school of the it is allowed but this is not something
[47:27]to be fooling God you know one time I heard someone I
[47:29]don't know if this person was joking or or uh serious he
[47:33]said yeah I'm not going to pray but I'm going to for
[47:34]example WR it in my that someone's going to pray on my
[47:38]behalf Allah says in the Quran we can't fool God this is
[47:51]talking about those who had pure intentions and they're trying but then
[47:55]the time of death came and and they weren't able to make
[47:59]it all up but at least write down even if you've missed
[48:03]one day of fasting write that down say this day I didn't
[48:05]make it up write it on your phone write it in a
[48:09]note write it wherever so that people know if you have missed
[48:15]prayers write that down if you have missed write that down because
[48:19]this is all an obligation that needs to be done so this
[48:22]is the third and then another thing that you write down in
[48:28]the will is how you want your assets to be distributed and
[48:31]this is probably one of the most important parts and reasons for
[48:37]a will because we all we come to this life and we
[48:40]come empty-handed when a person is born they're born naked they have
[48:43]nothing and the day we die how do we die also empty-handed
[48:50]we don't take anything with us you don't take the U-Haul I
[48:55]heard you know you don't take the U-Haul to the cemetery that's
[48:58]that's it it's gone and we leave empty in between we collect
[49:06]a few money houses cars and then we start looking down at
[49:09]people thinking that we own something we don't own anything Allah says
[49:13]in the [Music] Quran you will come to us you will come
[49:26]one by one the same way we created you one by one
[49:30]and you will leave everything we gave you to borrow in this
[49:35]life everything that I have I'm really borrowing the house that I'm
[49:39]in someone else was living on that land and someone else is
[49:42]going to be living on that land the things that I own
[49:46]as soon as we die they move on they pass on to
[49:53]the inheritors so when we die our assets we could pick up
[49:56]to one third onethird of your assets you could pick how you
[50:01]want it to be spent someone says why can't I pick all
[50:04]of them no the religion says during your life you had the
[50:10]you had the ability to do whatever you want with your money
[50:13]as long as you're alive you could do whatever you want with
[50:16]all of your money the moment you die you only have onethird
[50:19]two-thirds of it that's it even in fact Scholars say when a
[50:26]person becomes terminally ill so for example the doctors they come and
[50:29]they tell this person you have a couple months left this is
[50:32]the illness that a person is going to die in at that
[50:37]moment this person becomes meaning this person cannot touch two-thirds of their
[50:40]wealth you only have the right for one3 with the two3 that's
[50:46]going to be divided based on the laws of inheritance which are
[50:49]mentioned in the Quran you have for example levels you have the
[50:54]first level the sons and the parents the second level you have
[50:58]the the second level you have the brothers and the sisters and
[51:03]the grandparents now of course if the first level is there they're
[51:06]going to block the second level and then the third level if
[51:09]no one is around then you're going to have the aunts and
[51:14]the uncles they're going to be in the third tier so but
[51:16]the first level blocks the second and the second blocks the third
[51:20]and of course the spouses the husband and the wife they're always
[51:23]there they always get their share before it is divided amongst the
[51:28]amongst the relatives so this is with regards to the 2/3 2third
[51:33]of all your assets it's going to be divided that way they
[51:37]come and they see how much is the house worth how much
[51:40]is the car worth how much is that scent falling on the
[51:43]ground whatever it is that's all money they come and they calculate
[51:46]it the stocks whatever it is and then they divide it based
[51:51]on the laws of Islam based on the laws of the Quran
[51:53]can I come and give someone more than what the Quran has
[51:59]given them no for example some people they come and they say
[52:04]why is it that now this is this requires its own speech
[52:08]to come and explain it why does a man a son for
[52:13]example inherit double the daughter of course because the son has to
[52:16]the boy the man has to give the Mahar the son has
[52:19]to spend on the family there are many reasons for this but
[52:23]can I come and say no I want to give them equally
[52:24]or I want to give this person more than this person I
[52:27]can't there's one thing I could do and that is my onethird
[52:33]you have onethird you could do whatever you want with that oneir
[52:36]you could give it to one person maybe you have a favorite
[52:41]son or daughter or you could give it to um an organization
[52:47]a charity a Masjid you could do something good with it some
[52:52]some Act of Charity that will remain forever or some people they
[52:56]come and they want to for example give their daughters from that
[52:59]share so that at the end of the day the Son and
[53:03]the daughter will receive equally this is all you're free to do
[53:07]whatever you want with that onethird and this is the division of
[53:14]the of the assets and this is very important it's very important
[53:17]to write this down to do this because at the end of
[53:21]the day you have assets instead of having I've seen many times
[53:23]when a person passes away the whole family's together the day the
[53:26]father or the mother pass away the whole family is divided they
[53:30]start fighting with one another over inheritance they start fighting with one
[53:33]another over belongings over money deal with it sort sort it out
[53:39]before there's going to be any problems before you die deal with
[53:42]this problem don't allow this problem to take place and the religion
[53:45]of Islam instructs us to do this says everyone should have a
[53:52]because had a Allah he ordered he says I want IM Ali
[53:56]to bear me I want IM Ali to be the after me
[53:58]I want this and I want he had certain things that he
[54:04]ordered now when should a person write down their was when should
[54:09]the will be written down do I have to be old to
[54:11]write down a was no you don't need to be old you
[54:15]could be young you could be very healthy and you have a
[54:20]was why because was first of all it's not only about the
[54:22]money how you want it to be divided maybe it's about you
[54:27]wanting to guide your children you wanting to send a lasting message
[54:30]to your family to your children say your Shah in it we
[54:33]mentioned the first thing you write in it is your testimony of
[54:38]belief say say that in there so that they know about it
[54:40]second maybe you have DS maybe I borrowed money from someone and
[54:47]I'm going to forget about it 10 years 20 years Allah prolongs
[54:49]the life or Allah takes away the life let this be known
[54:52]let this be written down so that you don't die and then
[54:55]this person comes later on on your funeral and he says I
[54:57]want the money and write down maybe I missed a prayer one
[55:05]day and I forgot about it who's going to remember this later
[55:09]write this down let it be written down let it be documented
[55:12]so this is why it's very good to write down the was
[55:18]and in fact the Hadith says as many people they're afraid to
[55:21]write a will because they say that means it's it's a depressing
[55:26]topic and that means I'm going to die soon no in fact
[55:28]the Hadith says that Allah May prolong a person's life if they
[55:33]have the there are SE several things that if a person has
[55:36]it will be better for your life and better for your afterlife
[55:41]one of them is for example having a cfan having a cin
[55:43]in your room with you in your house you have it you
[55:48]look at it every day and looking at the cin is recommended
[55:50]put it in a place where every time you open the cabinet
[55:55]you're going to see it why because because this will remind me
[55:59]of my reality I have the Gucci and the Louis Vuitton and
[56:01]all of this hanging in my closet I also have this cin
[56:07]hanging there too that's going to be my exit gown that's going
[56:10]to be what I'm going to leave with and by the way
[56:14]having a cfan it's must to have a good quality cfan a
[56:17]lot of people they come and they say you know this is
[56:20]go go buy whatever it is or someone comes and donates when
[56:22]someone dies no go and buy a cfan go and invest in
[56:29]this and if you have Believers if you have M signing your
[56:32]kaan meaning I will testify that this person is a mman try
[56:39]to get that done because this will be something that you will
[56:42]take with you when you leave you have all these people signing
[56:45]your Kean that they testify that you're a believer of course A
[56:49]lot of times this happens after a person dies they begin to
[56:52]sign the Kean of the person so these are this is when
[56:57]should I do it do it now don't worry about it do
[57:02]it now and put the one-third as a charity an act of
[57:04]Charity because a lot of people they come and they say yes
[57:10]inshallah after I die I'm planning on building this I'm planning on
[57:13]helping orphans I'm planning on building a Masjid after I die do
[57:19]it during your life why wait why wait when when we die
[57:22]we don't need the money anymore but when you're living you need
[57:25]it but then it's a greater sign of Faith it's a greater
[57:29]sign of IM that this is the time that I gave it
[57:32]one day there was a man from amongst the Muslims he passed
[57:37]away and he had given his onethird he had given it to
[57:39]the S sakas charity so he had dates he had a storage
[57:45]room filled with dates and they told Allah come and help this
[57:48]person divide Let's Help the Let's Help divide the assets so came
[57:54]they were putting the dates and boxes and and whatever it is
[57:57]and they were giving it to the poor at the end there
[58:02]was one piece of date on the ground one piece of date
[58:04]on the ground Allah he came and he took it he held
[58:08]it and he shows it to the Muslims he tells them if
[58:14]this person had donated one date during his life it had been
[58:19]it would have been better than all of that that he had
[58:22]just donated after his death why because during your life you actually
[58:26]value money what value does money have when we die that's why
[58:32]it's easy to give after we die but it's not easy to
[58:34]give when we are alive and I've seen some they take care
[58:38]of their issues during their life you have Salah that you need
[58:40]to be need to be done start doing it now don't write
[58:44]write it in the write it in the will in case you
[58:48]didn't make it but start doing the Salah now you have religious
[58:51]dues start doing them now you want to do a good deed
[58:56]give it now instead of later there's a Masjid I heard the
[59:00]story from one scholar there's a Masjid in mhad he The Scholar
[59:02]he says I went to this Masjid with my father and you
[59:07]enter in some mosque some mjid you could feel the spirituality in
[59:10]it other places you go you might not feel it he says
[59:14]this place you could feel the spirituality in it why he says
[59:19]this Masjid was built couple hundred years ago but it still remains
[59:23]and people are praying in it and people are worship [Music] you
[60:26]guys didn't care for me to eat the fruits together with me
[60:31]you think I'm going to wait for you you're going after I
[60:33]die you're going to do good deeds in my name during my
[60:37]life you didn't care to eat fruits with me after my death
[60:41]how much Faith am I going to have that you're going to
[60:44]actually do some Sak some good deeds in my name and this
[60:49]is what happens a lot of times when people pass away they
[60:51]leave behind a lot of money your whole life everything that you've
[60:54]worked for your whole life is all pass down to a generation
[60:58]to to a group of people to your children to your family
[61:00]now the Quran says they need 2/3 goes to them but at
[61:06]least the one-third try to do something good don't leave it behind
[61:08]if a person does not make the was in the one-third then
[61:13]the whole amount will be distributed amongst the family but if you
[61:17]do that onethird then you will be able to do some good
[61:21]deeds and the best Deeds is a meaning you give I could
[61:26]for example feed a poor person person this person eats it and
[61:29]that's done but I could do something where this becomes recurring this
[61:33]is a this is a it's going to continuously generate Tha for
[61:40]example helping someone teaching someone raising an orphan this orphan will grow
[61:47]this orphan will be educated helping a Masjid anyone who comes and
[61:51]prays in this mid for hundreds of years however it lasts you
[61:54]will receive the theab so my dear brothers and sisters this is
[62:00]a little bit of um some information on writing a will and
[62:02]the importance of writing a will inshallah after the month of Ramadan
[62:05]we plan on doing a program here where we bring a lawyer
[62:10]and we will actually write a legal will um we've spoken to
[62:14]several uh lawyers and they're they're interested in doing this where we
[62:19]we write it that way we could protect our assets and we
[62:23]know exactly how to um do write the will in the Islamic
[62:29]way we ask Allah subhah wa ta'ala to bless us all to
[62:31]bless you all and to accept all of your [Music] in inshallah
[63:48]tomorrow night we will begin the of for some people it will
[63:54]start from tomorrow night those who started on Monday it will be
[63:57]tomorrow night and those who started on Tuesday it will be Friday
[64:00]night so we're going to have six nights of putting the Quran
[64:06]over the head and then uh the short duas that are done
[64:12]and then also Dua in and tomorrow Thursday night Dua as well
[64:15]so inshallah we will have all of the please come we will
[64:20]have qurans here but come with w and be ready to perform
[64:22]theal the prayer Hall is going to be ready and this room
[64:29]as well is going to be ready for anyone um to do
[64:34]the
