[0:02][Applause] [Music] you and I stand on the threshold of the Blessed

[0:24]month of Ramadan and we are reminded on the immense grace and

[0:30]mercy that Allah subhana tal is upon us this month is not

[0:32]merely a time for fasting from food and drink but a unique

[0:35]opportunity to grow closer to our creator and to purify our hearts

[0:42]and souls in this sacred time the teachings of the holy prophet

[0:46]Muhammad s alai offer us profound guidance on how to make the

[0:50]most of Ramadan today as I stand next to his blessed Dome

[0:56]inside his spectacular mosque I invite you and I to reflect on

[0:59]10 key points from his words that can can help us achieve

[1:05]the best this blessed month the Excellence of Ramadan Ramadan is not

[1:09]just another month in the calendar it's a time when the doors

[1:11]of Mercy are wide open and the blessings of Allah are abundant

[1:16]the holy prophet peace be upon him and his family reminds us

[1:18]that this month surpasses all others its days are the best of

[1:23]days the nights are the best of nights it's hours are the

[1:25]best of hours and this month every moment holds the potential for

[1:28]Spiritual elevation thus we must approach it with gratitude knowing that Allah

[1:33]subhana tala is offering us an unparalleled opportunity to draw closer to

[1:39]him number two an invitation to be guests of Allah Prophet Muhammad

[1:43]sallallahu alaihi wasallam told us that during the month of Ramadan we

[1:49]are not merely fasting we are guests of Allah imagine my dear

[1:52]sisters and brothers that the Creator himself has invited us to this

[1:57]Divine banquet our every breath becomes an act of worship and even

[2:03]our sleep is transformed into an opportunity to earn reward we therefore

[2:07]must be grateful for this invitation recognizing that every aspect of this

[2:12]month can Elevate us spiritually if we embrace it with sincerity and

[2:16]devotion number three the power of sincere supplication one of the most

[2:21]beautiful aspects of Ramadan is its power to bring us closer to

[2:27]allaha the holy prophet s alai wasam taught us to ask Allah

[2:30]with sincere int and pure hearts especially for his forgiveness this is

[2:34]a time to reflect on our past seek Allah's mercy and strive

[2:40]to cleanse ourselves of any sins the holy prophet warned that the

[2:43]most unfortunate is the one who misses out on Allah's forgiveness during

[2:48]this month so let's approach this Ramadan with pure hearts seeking his

[2:54]pardon and mercy number four a reminder of the day of judgment

[3:00]the prophet peace be upon man his family used this experience of

[3:03]hunger and thirst in Ramadan to remind us of the hunger and

[3:06]thirst of the day of judgment as we enjo the physical discomfort

[3:11]of fasting let us remember the spiritual and physical trials that will

[3:16]come on that day this reflection should Inspire us to use our

[3:19]fasting as a means to purify ourselves and strengthen our faith understanding

[3:24]that the challenges of this world are temporary but the consequences of

[3:28]the Hereafter are eternal number five charity and compassion Ramadan is a

[3:34]month of generosity and compassion the holy prophet peace be upon him

[3:38]and his family emphasize that giving charity to the poor showing kindness

[3:41]to orphans and protecting ourselves from sinful Behavior are key to earning

[3:47]Allah's pleasure this is a time to lower our gaze refrain from

[3:51]heartful speech and show empathy to those in need as we give

[3:53]let us also remember that charity is not just about material wealth

[3:59]it's about giving from our heart being compassionate and offering our support

[4:03]to those less fortunate number six the importance of prayer and prostration

[4:07]the holy prophet peace be upon him and his family also spoke

[4:11]about the importance of postra during this month by lengthening our SJ

[4:16]we lighten the burden of our sins and draw closer to Allah

[4:19]Ramadan is a time to engage deeply in worship to pray with

[4:25]sincerity and to Humble ourselves before Allah in this act of submission

[4:28]we find the spiritual release and peace that we need to carry

[4:31]us through this blessed month and indeed Beyond number seven the reward

[4:35]of helping others break their fast one of the greatest ways to

[4:40]earn Allah's Mercy in Ramadan is by helping others break their fast

[4:44]the holy prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam told us that even the smallest

[4:48]act of kindness such as providing a date or even a glass

[4:53]of water to someone fasting can lead to the Forgiveness of our

[4:55]sins and the freeing of our necks from the Hellfire Ramadan is

[4:58]a time to think of others to share our blessings and to

[5:02]ensure that no one is left hungry or without the opportunity to

[5:05]break their fast with dignity number eight improving character and avoiding harm

[5:10]the prophet sallallahu alaih Ali wasallam stressed that improving our character during

[5:16]Ramadan is vital this is a time to cultivate patience humility and

[5:20]empathy Ramadan is not just about refraining from food and drink it's

[5:24]about refraining from harmful actions from Anger from pride and from any

[5:29]behavior that could harm others by working on our character we align

[5:33]ourselves more closely with the values Allah loves and in turn we

[5:39]earn his mercy and favor number nine the rewards of Good Deeds

[5:42]the holy prophet sallallahu alaih alh wasallam taught us that even the

[5:45]smallest Good Deed during Ramadan carries immense reward if we perform any

[5:49]Act of goodness whether it be prayer recitation of the Quran or

[5:52]showing kindness to others the rewards are multiplied exponentially for instance reciting

[5:58]a single verse of the Quran during Ramadan is equivalent to completing

[6:02]the recitation of the entire Quran in other months this is a

[6:08]month where Allah's Mercy is so abundant that he magnifies our efforts

[6:12]and rewards us beyond measure and finally number 10 the open doors

[6:16]of paradise the holy prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam reminds us that the

[6:20]doors of paradise are wide open during this month the gates of

[6:25]hell are closed and the devils are chained this is an opportunity

[6:28]to seek Allah's mercy and protection from the fire we must ask

[6:30]Allah not only for his forgiveness but also for his guidance so

[6:36]that we may enter the gates of paradise on the day of

[6:38]judgment when all others will be held accountable for their deeds so

[6:44]Ramadan is a month of incredible spiritual potential it's a time to

[6:48]purify our hearts to repent for our sins and to engage in

[6:51]acts of kindness and charity the teachings of the holy prophet Muhammad

[6:55]sallallah alaihi Ali wasallam provide us with a road map for success

[6:59]in this bless mon let us not let this opportunity slip away

[7:03]may Allah grant us the strength to fast with sincerity to pray

[7:07]with devotion and to purify our hearts so that we may be

[7:12]among those who earn his mercy and forgiveness may this Ramadan be

[7:14]a means of spiritual renewal for all of us and may Allah

[7:21]accept our fasting our prayers and our Good Deeds
