Every religious individual in the world usually has some form of worship. Muslims worship God by a ritual known as salat or ṣalāh (صَلوٰة), meaning prayer. It is performed five times a day. The Quran has laid great emphasis on this act of worship and has made it obligatory. Salat has been mentioned nearly 90 times directly in the Quran including its different inflections such as the plural and verb form.
