This is the sermon Lady Zaynab daughter of Ali(son of Abu Talib), may Allah descend his blessings upon them all, delivered in Damascus. Lady Zaynab delivered her sermon to the tyrant Yazeed after having slaughtered her brother, Imam Hussain son of Ali the grandson of the Prophet Mohamad, in Karbala along with his family members and all his companions, and after taking the granddaughters of the Prophet and the remaining family of Imam Hussain from Karbala to Damascus as hostages. During the way, Imam Ali son of Hussain, Sayeda Zaynab and the rest of the family were treated the worst of treatments. They were being whipped under the burning sun, everytime they wanted to cry the soldiers would beat them so that they don't cry, they tied their hands and wouldn't give them proper rest. Imam Ali son of Hussain was tied by his neck, hands and legs, and the chain on his neck was so heavy it was cutting his skin! Along the way, the head of Imam Hussain, and the heads of his family members and companions were put on spears. When the family of Imam Hussain reached Damascus, Yazeed made them enter in his court where the head of Imam Hussain was put in front of Yazeed. Yazeed started to hit the mouth of Imam Hussain and chant a poem, at this point Zaynab stood and gave her amazing speech where she exposed Yazeed and the Progeny of Umaya, and she showed who was the real victor after the battle of Karbala.
