During the era of the early life of the Prophet (s), it was customary for Arabs to send their children to the desert with a woman who breastfeeds them. This was mainly due to reasons that the atmosphere of the desert was purer than that of a city. Also, in the deserts only Arab people resided, so children growing up in such surroundings would acquire the language of Arabic perfectly. Halima, the wet-nurse of the Prophet (s), had grown attached to the Prophet. A child was usually taken by a wet-nurse for 2 years so that she could breastfeed him or her, however due to the love Halima had for Muhammad, amongst other reasons, Muhammad spent the first five years of his life in the desert with Halima.#Hawza #Seminary #Alhujjah #islam #shia #Qazwini
If there is so much emphasis on religious sciences, shouldn’t we all be focusing on religious sciences? If there is a sufficient number of scholars who are guiding the community, then if a person focuses on a non-religious path but is mindful of his religious obligations and supports religious institutions and projects, it will be hard to say becoming a religious scholar is better. In fact, there are many stories about people who are not scholars, but they had a special status with the Imams. However, if you live in a community where there is a need for a scholar, then becoming a scholar has a greater value in the eyes of Allah SWT. It all comes back to the need of the community and we can serve the community the most.

Imam Sadiq said that he has looked at all of the knowledge people have and only four types are really beneficial:
1. To know your Lord. Knowledge starts with your Lord as He is the origin of everything. How much we do know Allah? How much do we know about His attributes? Can you see His attributes being reflected in this universe?
2. To know what He has done for you. How did Allah create you? This is where Islam has respect for natural sciences as they examine Allah’s creations.
3. To know what He wants from you. This is an area that most people struggle with. He created us to worship Him but how? Even if we worship Him, is it for our desire or sincerely for Him?
4. You know what will remove you from the folds of your religion. One word of objection can take us away from the religion of Allah SWT
