This is the first supplication in Al-Sahifa Al-Sajadiya. Al-Sahifa al-Sajadiya is a book filled with supplications from our 4th Imam, Imam Ali son of Hussain son of Ali son of Abu Talib may Allah's peace and blessings be upon them all. In his supplications, Imam Ali Al-Sajjad used to teach his Shias different teachings that have to do with their religion, their current life and the after-life as he speaks with Allah (swt). His supplications thouch on different fields, such as the Oneness of Allah, the Justice of Allah, Prophethood, the angels, the Quran, the Imams, Judgement day, good morals, how to behave with parents, how to be a true muslim in your society etc... After the sermon, the Imam links his sermon with words of wisdom where He describes the progeny of Mohamad (s.a.w.s) by pointing out the virtues, greatness and superiority of the progeny of Mohamad over any one else in their nation.
