Hadeeth-e-Kisa is that gracious description, which is a Tradition too and a description and an event too, a description of excellences also and a reason of prosperity too - Who is among the believers not aware of the words or meaning of this gracious Hadeeth, this is the Hadeeth healing the ill, the medium of fulfilling the desires of the desirous, supporting the helpless person engulfed in calamities - Just as this fact has also been mentioned itself in it that, by reciting it the mercy of Allah descends, and angels come and are busy asking for forgiveness -
If recited before an owner of insight then better and spacious conditions are attained, if recited before a needy person then his needs are fulfilled, and since hundreds of years the believers are deriving the benefits of it's graces, and why should it not be? It is a recital of the owners of infallibility and purity, a mention of Siddiqa-e-Tahera (s.a.w.a), a commentary of the Holy Qur'an, an event of the assembly of Allah's lights, amazement and hope for the dwellers of Allah's throne and the greatness and excellence for the best of humans and it's pure roots - If, in presence of these specialities if grace, prosperity and mercy does not descend then when? Ayatollah Misbah Yazdi (may Allah SWT bless his soul) writes:
'Nurturing the love of God keeps a person away from disobeying Him and violating His orders. What shall we do to keep this love of God in our heart so that we remain near to Him even if we experience affliction and adversity? What shall we do to be so hopeful that even if we are thrown into hellfire, the hope of God’s mercy is not removed from our hearts? What is the way of nurturing love of God and hope in Him? In this part of Du‘a’ Abu Hamzah al-Thumali quoted earlier, Imam al-Sajjad (AS) said that “If ever my love for You is not removed from my heart, it is because I do not forget Your blessings. Neither do I forget Your concealment of my sins and lapses.” It can be inferred from these statements that if man wants the love of God to remain in his heart, he must constantly remember God and His ample blessings.
...It is necessary to set a certain time during the day or night to think about and remember God’s blessings and His concealment of our lapses. Let us remember His blessings and Him for these blessings although, as stated by Imam al-Hussain (AS), even if a person spends his entire life thanking God for His blessings, he will not be able to duly thank Him for even a single blessing except through His permission. (Dua Arafah of Imam al-Hussain AS). To express gratitude and attain the station of the grateful [shakirin] is a status given by God to His faithful servants, otherwise who could be able to duly express gratitude for His blessings?'
(In the Presence of the Beloved, Ayatollah Misbah Yazdi, A Commentary on Dua Abu Hamza Thumali)
The supplication known as Du‘a’ Abu Hamzah al-Thumali which is recited before dawn, during the month of Ramadan, is one of the noble and substantial supplications transmitted from Imam ‘Ali ibn al-Husayn Zain al-Abideen (AS).
Abu Hamza al-Thumali, a companion of Imam al-Baqir (‘a) and Imam al-Sadiq (‘a) recorded this supplication from Imam al-Sajjad (‘a). Abu Hamzah was called “the Salman of his time”.
This great supplication in itself bespeaks of his knowledge and personality. (Bihar al-Anwar, vol. 98, p. 82, hadith 2,)

In this excerpt, Sheikh mentioned about the Murji'ah. They are those individuals who adopted neutrality, saying that we have no authority to decide who is right and wrong. Allah will decide. They turned against Imam Ali - not with Imam nor with Muawiyah.

Dua Jawshan al-Kabeer
Sayyid Mahdi Mirdamad
(Arabic with English translation)
It has been mentioned in the book, Balad al-Amin and the Misbah of Kafa`mi that Imam Zainul Abideen (A.S) related from his father from his grandfather the Prophet of Allah (blessings of Allah be upon him and his family) that this supplication was taught by the Angel Jibra’eel (prayers be upon him) to the Prophet (blessings of Allah be upon him and his family) during one of the battles.
It was in one of the wars that the Prophet (blessings of Allah be upon him and his family) had taken part in which he had a very heavy and expensive coat of armor on to protect himself. It is related that the coat was so heavy that it was hurting the body of the Prophet (prayers of Allah be upon him and his family). In this state, the Angel Jibra’eel (prayers be upon him) came to the Prophet (blessings of Allah be upon him and his family) and said:
“O’ Muhammad! Your Lord conveys his salutations to you and has said to take this coat of armor (Jawshan) and to recite it as this is a protection for you and your Ummah."

Dua Sabah - recited by Haj Mohammad Taleb in English
with [ENG SUBS]
It is related in the book "Musbah" that the best time for reading this prayer is after the morning nafila prayer. Another tradition by Allama Majlisi states this dua is the 'taqeeb' of the morning prayer.
The supplication of dawn is one of those soul-elevating prayers to the Almighty, which reflect the sublimity, piety, and high literary standard of Imam Ali's (A) style and diction. Dawn is the best time of prayer, repentance and invocation of the Sustainer of the universe, when the doors of the heavens are opened and all creatures receive their sustenance from Him.
It is a privilege of the Muslims to be commanded to stand up in all humility before their Maker everyday, at the first streak of dawn: to glorify their Lord and Master and to beg of Him not only material but also spiritual sustenance. So particular was Imam Ali (A) about prayers at dawn that on his death-bed he called upon the red glow of the morning to bear witness that never in his entire life had morning appeared in the sky to find him sleeping. May his followers try to emulate his radiant example.

Kumayl Ibn Ziyad was a prominent companion of Ameer al Mo'mineen, Imam Ali Ibn Abi Talib (AS) and this sublime Dua was first heard from the beautiful, though anguished, voice of Imam Ali.
According to Allama Majlisi, Hazrat Kumayl had attended an assembly in the Mosque at Basra which was addressed by Imam Ali in which the night of the 15th of Shaban was mentioned. Imam Ali (AS) said-:"Whosoever keeps awake in devoutness on this night (15th Shaban) and recites the Dua of Prophet Khizr, undoubtedly that person's supplication will be responded to and granted."
When the assembly at the Mosque had dispersed, Hazrat Kumayl called at the house where Imam Ali (AS) was staying and requested him to inform him of Prophet Khizr's Dua. Imam Ali asked Kumayl to sit down, record, and memorise the Dua which Imam Ali dictated to Kumayl.
Imam Ali then advised Kumayl to recite this Dua on the eve of (i.e. evening preceding) every Friday, or once a month or at least once in every year so that, added Imam Ali: "Allah may protect you from the evils of the enemies and the plots contrived by impostors. O' Kumayl! in consideration of your companionship and understanding, I grant you this honour of entrusting this Dua to you."

The Excellence of the 3 Sacred Months:
Rajab, Sha'ban and Ramadhan
explained by Ayatollah Sayyid Ruhollah Khomeini (ra).
In this clip, Ayatollah Khomeini (ra) also spoke about Munajat Sha'baniyyah.
The days of the months of Rajab, Sha'ban, and the holy month of Ramadhan are some of the most sacred days in the Islamic calendar. The Holy Prophet of Islam (SAWW) and our Aimmah Tahireen (AS) have shown the importance of these months through numerous hadiths. It is our responsibility to take advantage of the benefits of these months, as they come and go very quickly. Asking Allah SWT for forgiveness, fasting, and reciting and contemplating the verses of the Holy Qur'an are just a few actions (among many) that we can perform to purify our hearts and gain nearness to Allah SWT.
Munajat (Whispered Prayer) of Ameerul Mo'mineen, Imam Ali ibne Abu Talib, also known as Munajat of Masjid e Kufa - in English and Urdu translation
Recited by Haaj Mahdi Samawati - الحاج مهدي سماواتي
This Whispered Prayer is very similar to a monologue, recited by Imam Ali (a) addressing God. The Imam (a) highlights and emphasises that God is the only one who can bestow on us mercy, as He is the Creator, the Infinite, and the Great, whilst we are the created, the finite, and the lowly. It is a very moving and heart- trembling supplication.
