وَقد ذكر لهـذا الدّعـاء في الكتب المُعتبرة شرح اطولُ وفضل أكثر مِمّا ذكر لدعـاءِ الجوشن الكبير، وقالَ الكفعمي في هـامش كتاب البلد الامين: هذا دُعاء رفيع الشّأن عظيم المنزلة دعا به الكاظم (عليه السلام) وقد همّ موسى الهـادي العبّاسي بقتله فَرَأى (عليه السلام) جدّه النّبي (صلى الله عليه وآله وسلم) في المنـام فأخبره بأنّ الله تعالى سَيقضى على عَدوّه

The commentary on this supplication in the most reliable books of supplications has been more elaborate than the commentary mentioned for the supplication of al-Jawshan al-Kabir. As a footnote, al-Kaf’ami, in al-Balad al-Amin, says, “This excellent supplication is highly considered. It was said by Imam Musa al-Kadhim (AS) when al-Hadi, the ‘Abbasid ruler, intended to assassinate him. Hence, the Imam saw in a dream his grandfather, the Holy Prophet (SAW), who foretold that Almighty Allah would annihilate his enemy.”

یہ دعا معتبر کتابوں میں جوشن کبیر سے زیادہ مفصل شرح کے ساتھ نقل کی گئی ہے۔ کفعمیؒ نے بلد الامین کے حاشیہ پر فرمایا ہے کہ یہ دعا انتہائی رفیع الشان اور عظیم المنزلت ہے۔ جب بنی عباس کے بادشاہ موسیٰ ہادی نے امام موسیٰ کاظم ؑ کو قتل کرنے کے ارادہ سے طلب کیا تو آپ نے اس دعا کی تلاوت کی اور پیغمبر اسلام ؐ کو خواب میں دیکھا کہ آپ فرما رہے تھے کہ مطمئن رہو تو پروردگار تمہارے دشمن کو ہلاک کر دے گا۔ یہ دعا سید بن طاؤسؒ کی مہج الدعوات میں بھی نقل کی گئی ہے اگرچہ دونوں کہ نسخے میں قدرے اختلاف ہے۔

This Whispered Prayer is very similar to a monologue, recited by Imam Ali (a) addressing God. The Imam (a) highlights and emphasises that God is the only one who can bestow on us mercy, as He is the Creator, the Infinite, and the Great, whilst we are the created, the finite, and the lowly. It is a very moving and heart- trembling supplication.

The ethical recommendations of Ayatollah Bahjat (ra) to help us build our relationship with Imam Mahdi (may Allah SWT hasten his noble reappearance).

The lesson we get out of this brief ethical recommendations of Ayatollah Bahjat is that we should realise that our sins strike our Imam like arrows. As we are awaiters of Imam Mahdi (ATFS), we should adopt qualities with which his followers, companions and confidants would be recognized.

We should also create those qualities within ourselves, because if these qualities are not present among us, we can neither be from his awaiters and nor reach his rank. We should be among supporters and awaiters of Imam (ATFS) at all times.

Neither our awaiting should an awaiting of the negligent nor awaiting of the lazy. On the contrary, our awaiting should be of one cognizant of the duty and one attached to a mission.

O Allah, show that elegant and illuminated form and include us among his followers and those, who tread his path and attain martyrdom in his company. Ameen.

The greatest of wars is that which is waged against the low desires of our carnal soul so has our prophet said. No true victory can be attained over the external enemies, before we have not vanquished our internal foes. These are the carnal desires and passions of our soul. This is a good lesson to be taken by those who want to tread the path of spiritual and physical evolution and development.

Servitude of Bibi Ummul Baneen (S.A) towards Ahlulbayt (A.S) explained by Sheikh Mohammed Abbas Panju [ENG SUBS] - 2016 (Wafaat Ummul Baneen 1437)

Condolences on the death anniversary of Hazrat Bibi Ummul Baneen Al Arbah. Lady Ummul Baneen’s name was Fatima; however, upon her arrival in Imam Ali’s household, she requested that everyone call her Ummul Baneen so that she would not remind them of the daughter of the Prophet and upset them.

Despite being a young bride who undoubtedly had dreams and aspirations of her own, she instead insisted on being a mere servant to the orphans of Lady Fatima Zahra. In turn, the children treated her with great respect and love, referring to her as their own mother. This presents an example of sacrifices individuals on both ends should be willing to commit when it comes to re-marriages and becoming part of an already-established family. Ummul Baneen translates to “Mother of Her Sons”, a fitting title since Lady Ummul Baneen and Imam Ali had four sons: Usman, Ja’far, Abdullah, and Abul Fadhl al-Abbas, the Gateway to the Acceptance of Desires and the Moon of Bani Hashim (peace be upon them all).

Sheikh Jafar was such a gifted speaker and his sermons were so emotional that they attracted thousands. The number of attendees grew so much that Marvi Mosque could not fit the crowd anymore. With the suggestion of Naser al-Din Shah Qajar, he moved to Sepahsalar Mosque, and according to one of his students, 40,000 people attended his sermons. His sermons were so emotional, that often even clerics in the audience started weeping. Many have reported that Nasser Al-Din Shah Qajar himself was often coming to his sermons in an anonymous outfit.

What is considerably noticeable in the mystical thoughts of Imam Khomeini is his placing importance on young age as a starting point for self-development and self-purification. According to him, the older a person becomes, the firmer and more deep-rooted false beliefs and evil deeds become, and the more difficult it is to rectify them. In addition, unlike young age, man's willpower, like other mental powers, weakens with old age, making the spiritual struggle harder. Hence, in this short excerpt video of Imam Khomeini, he highlights the significance of self-refinement (self-purification) over knowledge and how one must prioritise self-purification over everything.
