We invite you to take part in a special fund raising raffle for the Iraqi orphans campaign.

Following from the success of the 'Walk to Karbala campaign' that helped raise over a thousand pounds for the Iraqi Orphan Foundation (IOF). We are running a raffle with some amazing gifts that could be won by you.

IOF supports thousands of Iraqi orphans in different cities of Iraq. This raffle is raising funds for the Iraqi orphans and helping raise awareness about the work of this charity.

Gifts:

First gift is a silver ring given to us by Mr Mohamad Al-Ameedee, head of financial affairs at the shrine of Abulfazl Abbas (as). This ring is pure silver and carries a piece of the marble from the Shrine of Hazrat Abulfazl Abbas (as).  

Second gift is a large flag purchased in Karbala from between the two shrines, and has been wiped on the shrine of Imam Hussain (as).

You can enter the raffle by purchasing a ticket for £20. The more tickets you purchase the more chance you have of winning either of the prizes. All money raised will be donated to the Iraqi Orphan Foundation.  The winner will receive the items in the post if they live out side of London or can receive the gifts in person if they live in London. The raffle draw results will be declared 9pm on the 26th of March 2013. Our target is to raise £2,000 for the Iraqi orphans with your help we can make this happen, insha'Allah.

This book contains one introduction section and seven chapters.
Firstly the book explains the reasons for pilgrimage. Because the pilgrim must know the Islamic (Sharia) reason for performing pilgrimage to a holy city.
Secondly, this book explains the aim of pilgrimage.
Thirdly this book explains instructions a person must abide by when visiting the Ahlul Bayt (as).
The first chapter is about the Holy city of Najaf and its names, and the history of the holy city and the shrine of Imam Ali (as) along with important personalities who are buried in holy city of Najaf.
The second chapter is about the city of Kufah and the importance of Kufah, the Great Mosque of Kufah, and the procedure of visiting the Great Mosque of Kufah.
The third chapter is about the holy city of Karbala and the introduction to the land of Karbala, and the history of the shrine of Imam Hussain (as) and important sections inside it, along with the history of the shrine of Abul Fadhl Abbas (as) and important sections inside it.
This chapter also has a part for the important personalities who are buried in Karbala and other important sites in Karbala.
The fourth chapter is about the holy city of Kadhimiya, and how it began, and the history of the shrine of Imam Kadhim (as) & Imam Jawad (as), along with a guide to the other important sections contained within the shrine.
The fifth chapter in this book is about the holy city of Samarra, and the shrines of Imam Hadi (as) & Imam Askari (as) and the history of the shrines.
The sixth chapter is about the Prophets, descendants of Imams and notable scholars who are buried in Iraq.
