About Abu Hamza Thumali (r):
His name was Thabit b. Safiya and was known as Abu Hamza Thumali. He was a close companion of Imam Ali Zaynul Abidin (a). Commenting on the worship of his master he said, “I have never heard that there is a person more ascetic than Ali b. al-Husayn, who caused to weep all those were in his presence when he talked about asceticism and preaching.”
He has related that during the month of Ramadhan, Imam as-Sajjad (a) spent a greater part of the night in prayers and when it was the time of beginning of the fast he recited the Dua e Abu Hamza Thumali. This supplication has been recorded in the book Misbah and also appears in Shaykh Abbas al- Qummi's Mafatihul Jinan. (source: themuslimvibe)

The book 'In the Presence of the Beloved' by Agha Misbah Yazdi, he beautifully explains and gives a commentary of Dua Abu Hamza Thumali, Dua Iftitah and Dua Makarimul Akhlaq. Insha'Allah, by reading this book, we will understand the meanings more of the beautiful supplications of the Holy Month of Ramadhan.
Imam Mahdi:
ألا يا أهل العالم إنّ جدي الحسين عليه السلام قتلـــــوه عطشـــاناً
O' People of the World, verily my grandfather Hussain (peace be upon him) was martyred whilst he was thirsty.

The Whispered Prayers, is a collection of 15 intimate conversations with Allah SWT and the 15 Whispered Prayers are extracted from the book of Imam Zainul Abideen A.S - known as Sahifa Sajjadiya, also known famously as the Psalms of Islam.
Munajaat means "talking" or "having a conversation". In this case, it is the intimate conversations of our Imam with his Lord. Conversing with God regularly is true spirituality, and these conversations between Imam Sajjad (as) and God will really open our eyes. Again, there are conversations for different spiritual states, such as being fearful, hopeful and thankful. Conversing with Allah according to our current spiritual state will only serve to enhance our relationship with him. (al-islam.org)
The prayers start with 'repentance', as repentance is the first step towards a genuine communion with God.

Ziyarat Ashura recited by Alireza Asgharzadeh
at Al-Nabi (s) Masjed (12/09/2016)
(with English subtitles)
Ziyarat Ashura is a sacred tradition (Hadees-e-Qudsi) whose references can be found in Misbah al-Mutahajjid by Shaykh al-Tusi and Kamil al-Ziyarat by Ibn Qulawayh. In expressing veneration and seeking higher levels of peace for Imam Hussain (AS), we are trying to unite with his ideas, thoughts and towering volition, and in cursing his opponents who overtly declared themselves to be Muslims and believers, but were extensions of hypocrites, we are trying to flee from all their ideas, thoughts and actions. Hence this recital of Ziyarat Ashura seeks to unite the reciter with the sacred spirit of Imam Hussain (AS).
Allamah Amini (May Allah SWT elevate his soul), the author of Al-Ghadir mentions: "Oh my dear child, never and under no circumstances forget Ziyarat Ashura. Recite it frequently and take it as an incumbent upon yourself. It is of many avails and blessings and, will call prosperity of your life and salvation of your soul."
Ziyarat e Aal-e-Yasin is an important Ziyarat of Imam e Zaman A.S. It is actually a Hadith Qudsi (direct saying of Allah(swt)) as reported in Mafatih-al-Jinnan. According to the traditions, "Aal-e-Yaseen" is equivalent to Ale-e-Muhammad" (family Of Prophet Muhammad A.S) and is the correct pronunciation (Qira'at) of verse 37:130 of the Holy Quran. Beside its superb beauty, one of the interesting points about this Dua after the Ziyarat is that, in it, we confess all the central beliefs one by one. It is also recommended to be recited to obtain relief from oppression. (source: duas.org)
