Reciter: Hajj #Abo_Ayman | With English Subtitle
إلهِي أَحْمَـدُكَ ـ وَأَنْتَ لِلْحَمْدِ أَهْلٌ ـ
My God, I praise You, - and You art worthy of praise -
عَلَى حُسْنِ صَنِيعِكَ إلَيَّ، وَسُبُـوغِ نَعْمَآئِكَ عَلَيَّ،
for Your benefaction toward me, the lavishness of Your favours toward me,
وَجَزِيْلِ عَطَآئِكَ عِنْدِي،
and Your plentiful bestowal upon me,
وَعَلَى ما فَضَّلْتَنِي مِنْ رَحْمَتِكَ،
and for showing bounty toward me through Your mercy
وَأَسْبَغْتَ عَلَيَّ مِنْ نِعْمَتِكَ،
and lavishing Your favour upon me.
فَقَدِ اصْطَنَعْتَ عِنْدِي ما يَعْجِزُ عَنُهُ شُكْرِي، وَلَوْلاَ إحْسَانُكَ، إلَيَّ
You hast done well toward me and I am incapable of thanking You. Were it not for Your beneficence toward me
وَسُبُوغُ نَعْمَآئِـكَ عَلَيَّ
and the lavishness of Your favours upon me,
مَا بَلَغْتُ إحْرازَ حَظِّي، وَلاَ إصْلاَحَ نَفْسِي،
I would not have reached the taking of my share nor would my soul have been set right,
وَلكِنَّكَ ابْتَدَأْتَنِي بِالإحْسَانِ،
but You began with beneficence toward me,
وَرَزَقْتَنِي فِي أُمُورِي كُلِّهَا الْكِفَايَةَ،
provided me sufficiency in all my affairs,
وَصَرَفْتَ عَنِّي جَهْدَ الْبَلاءِ،
turned away from me the toil of affliction,
وَمَنَعْتَ مِنِّي مَحْذُورَ الْقَضَآءِ
and held back from me the feared decree.

بِسْمِ الله الرَّحْمنِ الرَّحِيمِ
إِلهِي أَذْهَلَنِي عَنْ إقامَةِ شُكْرِكَ تَتابُعُ طَوْلِكَ وَأَعْجَزَنِي عَنْ إحْصاءِ ثَنائِكَ فَيْضُ فَضْلِكَ وَشَغَلَنِي عَنْ ذِكْرِ مَحامِدِكَ تَرادُفُ عَوائِدِكَ وَأَعْيانِي عَنْ نَشْرِ عَوارِفِكَ تَوالِي أيادِيكَ ، وَهذا مَقامُ مَنْ اعْتَرَفَ بَسِبُوغِ النَّعْماءِ وَقابَلَها بالتَّقْصِيرِ ، وَشَهِدَ عَلى نَفْسِهِ بِالامالِ وَالتَّضْيِيعِ وَأنْتَ الرَّؤُوفُ الرَّحِيمِ البَرُّ الكَرِيمُ الَّذِي لا يُخَيِّبُ قاصِدِيهِ وَلا يَطْرُدُ عَنْ فِنائِهِ آمِلِيهِ بِساحَتِكَ تَحُطُّ رِحالُ الرَّاجِينَ وَبِعَرْصَتِكَ تَقِفُ آمالُ المُسْتَرْفِدِينَ فَلا تُقابِلْ آمالَنا بِالتَّخْيِيبِ وَالاياسِ ولا تُلْبِسْنا سِرْبالَ القُنُوطِ وَالابْلاسِ ، إِلهِي تَصاغَرَ عِنْدَ تَعاظُمِ آلائِكَ شُكْرِي وَتَضأَلَ فِي جَنْبِ إكْرامِكَ إيَّايَ ثَنائِي وَنَشْرِي جَلَّلَتْنِي نِعَمُكَ مِنْ أَنْوارِ الإيمانِ حُلَلاً وَضَرَبَتْ عَلَيَّ لَطائِفُ بِرِّكَ مِنَ العِزِّ كِلَلاً وَقَلَّدَتْنِي مِنَنُكَ قَلائِدَ لاتُحَلُّ وَطَوَّقَتْنِي أَطْواقا لاتُفَلُّ ، فآلاؤكَ جَمَّةٌ ضَعُفَ لِسانِي عَنْ إحْصائِها وَنَعْماؤكَ كَثِيرةٌ قَصُرَ فَهْمِي عَنْ إدْراكِها فَضْلاً عَنْ اسْتِقْصائِها فَكَيْفَ لِي بِتَحْصِيلِ الشُّكْرِ وَشُكْرِي إِيَّاكَ يَفْتَقِرُ إِلى شُكْرٍ؟ فَكُلَّما قُلْتُ : لَكَ الحَمْدُ وَجَبَ عَلَيَّ لِذلِكَ أَنْ أَقُولَ : لَكَ الحَمْدُ. إِلهِي فَكَما غَذَّيْتَنا بِلُطْفِكَ وَرَبَّيْتَنا بِصُنْعِكَ فَتَمِّمْ عَلَيْنا سَوابِغَ النِّعَمِ وَادْفَعْ عَنَّا مَكارِهَ النِّقَمِ وَآتِنا مِنْ حُظُوظِ الدَّارَيْنِ أَرْفَعَها وَأَجَلَّها عاجِلاً وَآجِلاً ، وَلَكَ الحَمْدُ عَلى حُسْنِ بَلائِكَ وَسُبُوغِ نَعمائِكَ حَمْداً يُوافِقُ رِضاكَ وَيَمْتَرِي العَظِيمَ مِنْ بِرِّكَ وَنَداكَ يا عَظِيمُ يا كَرِيمُ بِرَحْمَتِكَ يا أرْحَمَ الرَّاحِمِينَ .

الْحَمْدُ للهِ رِضىً بِحُكْمِ اللهِ ،
Praise belongs to God in satisfaction with God's decision!
شَهِدْتُ أَنَّ اللهَ قَسَمَ مَعَايِشَ عِبَادِهِ بِالْعَدْلِ ،
I bear witness that God has apportioned the livelihoods of His servants with justice
وَأَخَذَ عَلَى جَمِيْعِ خَلْقِهِ بِالْفَضْلِ.
and undertaken bounty for all His creatures.
أللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد وَآلِهِ،
O God, bless Muhammad and his Household,
وَلاَ تَفْتِنِّي بِمَا أَعْطَيْتَهُمْ
tempt me not with what You hast given to Your creatures
وَلا تَفْتِنْهُمْ بِمَا مَنَعْتَنِي فَأحْسُدَ خَلْقَكَ، وَأَغْمِطَ حُكْمَكَ.
and tempt them not with what You hast withheld from me, lest I envy Your creatures and despise Your decision!
أللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد وَآلِـهِ،
God, bless Muhammad and his Household,
وَطَيِّبْ بِقَضَائِـكَ نَفْسِي
delight my soul through Your decree,
وَوَسِّعْ بِمَـواقِعِ حُكْمِكَ صَدْرِي
expand my breast through the instances of Your decision,
وَهَبْ لِي الثِّقَةَ لأُقِرَّ مَعَهَا
give to me a trust through which I may admit
بِأََنَّ قَضَاءَكَ لَمْ يَجْرِ إلاَّ بِالْخِيَرَةِ
that Your decree runs only to the best,
وَاجْعَلْ شُكْرِي لَكَ عَلَى مَا زَوَيْتَ عَنّي
and let my gratitude to You for what You hast taken away from me
أَوْفَرَ مِنْ شُكْرِي إيَّاكَ عَلَى مَا خَوَّلْتَنِي
be more abundant than my gratitude to You for what You hast conferred upon me!

اَلْحَمْدُ لِلهِ الَّذِيْ
Praise belongs to Allah, who
تَجَلّٰى لِلْقُلُوْبِ بِالْعَظَمَةِ
disclosed Himself to hearts through mightiness,
وَ احْتَجَبَ عَنِ الْاَبْصَارِ بِالْعِزَّةِ
veiled Himself from eyes through might,
وَاقْتَدَرَ عَلَى الْاَشْيآءِ بِالْقُدْرَةِ
and exercises power over the things through power!
فَلَا الْاَبْصَارُ تَثْبُتُ لِرُؤْيَتِهٖ
Eyes are not firm enough to see Him
وَ لَا الْاَوْهَامُ تَبْلُغُ كُنْهَ عَظَمَتِهٖ
and imaginations reach not the core of His mightiness.
تَجَبَّرَ بالْعَظَمَةِ وَ الْكِبْرِيآءِ
He displays His overwhelming power in mightiness and magnificence,
وَ تَعَطَّفَ بِالْعِزِّ وَ الْبِرِّ وَ الْجَلَالِ
robes Himself in might, goodness, and majesty,
وَ تَقَدَّسَ بِالْحُسْنِ وَ الْجَمَالِ
is far removed from imperfection through comeliness and beauty,
وَ تَمَجَّدَ بِالْفَخْرِ وَ الْبَهآءِ
assumes His glory in pride and splendour,
وَ تَجَلَّلَ بِالْمَجْدِ وَ الْآلَآءِ
puts on His majesty through glory and boons,
وَ اسْتَخْلَصَ بِالنَّوْرِ وَ الضِّيَآءِ
and has chosen for Himself light and radiance.

اِلٰهِيْ
My Allah,
لَا تُشْمِتْ بِي عَدُوِّي
let not my enemy gloat over me
وَلَا تَفْجَعْ بِيْ حَمِيْمِيْ وَ صَدِيْقِيْ
and torment not my dear kinsman or friend through me!
اِلٰهِيْ هَبْ لِي لَحْظَةً مِنْ لَحَظَاتِكَ
My Allah, of Thy glances, give me one glance, and thereby
تَكْشِفُ عَنِّيْ مَا ابْتَلَيْتَنِيْ بِهٖ
remove from me that by which Thou hast afflicted me
وَتُعِيدُنِي إلَى أَحْسَنِ عَادَاتِكَ عِنْدِيْ
and return me to the best of Thy customs with me!
وَاسْتَجِبْ دُعَائِيْ وَدُعَاءَ مَنْ أَخْلَصَ لَكَ دُعآءَهٗ فَقَدْ
Respond to my supplication and the supplication of him who devotes his supplication sincerely to Thee,
ضَعُفَتْ قُوَّتِيْ
for my power has become frail,
وَقَلَّتْ حِيْلَتِيْ
my stratagems few,
وَاشْتَدَّتْ حَالِيْ
my situation severe,
وَأَيِسْتُ مِمَّا عِنْدَ خَلْقِكَ
and I despair of what is with Thy creatures,
فَلَمْ يَبْقَ لِيْ اِلَّا رَجَآؤُكَ عَلَيَّ
so nothing remains for me but hope in Thee!
اِلٰهِيْ
My Allah,
اِنَّ قُدْرَتَكَ عَلٰى كَشْفِ مَا اَنَا فِيْهِ كَقُدْرَتِكَ عَلٰى مَا ابْتَلَيْتَنِيْ بِهٖ
surely Thy power to remove that in which I dwell is like Thy power in that with which Thou hast afflicted me!

يَامَنْ لاَ يَخْفَى عَلَيْهِ أَنْبَآءُ الْمُتَظَلِّمِينَ
O He from whom is not concealed news of the aggrieved!
وَيَا مَنْ لاَ يَحْتَاجُ فِي قِصَصِهِمْ إلَى شَهَادَاتِ الشَّاهِدِينَ
O He who has no need to be told about them by the witnessing of the witnesses!
وَيَا مَنْ قَرُبَتْ نُصْرَتُهُ مِنَ الْمَظْلُومِينَ
O He who whose help is near to the wronged!
وَيَا مَنْ بَعُدَ عَوْنُهُ عَنِ الظَّالِمِينَ قَدْ عَلِمْتَ
O He whose aid is far from the wrongdoers! You knowest,
يَا إلهِي مَا نالَنِي مِنْ [فُلاَنِ بْنِ فُلاَن] مِمَّا حَظَرْتَ
my God, how so-and-so, son of so-and-so, has harmed me in that which You hast forbidden,
وَانْتَهَكَهُ مِنّي مِمَّا حَجَزْتَ عَلَيْهِ بَطَراً فِي نِعْمَتِكَ عِنْدَهُ وَاغْتِرَاراً بِنَكِيرِكَ عَلَيْهِ
and how he has violated me in that which You hast prohibited, showing thereby ingratitude toward Your favour upon him and delusion concerning what You hast denied him.
أللَّهُمَّ فَصَلِّ اللَّهُمَّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد وَآلِهِ
O God, so bless Muhammad and his Household,
وَخُذْ ظَالِمِي وَعَدُوِّي عَنْ ظُلْمِي بِقُوَّتِكَ
keep my wrongdoing enemy from wronging me through Your strength,
وَافْلُلْ حَدَّهُ عَنِّي بِقُدْرَتِكَ وَاجْعَلْ لَهُ
blunt his blade toward me through Your power, and assign to him
شُغْلاً فِيَما يَلِيهِ وَعَجْزاً عَمَّا يُناوِيْهِ
a diversion in that which is close to him and the inability to reach his enemy!
أللَّهُمَّ وَصَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد وَآلِهِ
O God, bless Muhammad and his Household,
وَلاَ تُسَوِّغْ لَهُ ظُلْمِي وَأَحْسِنْ عَلَيْـهِ عَوْنِي،
let the wrongdoer not find it easy to wrong me, give me good help against him,
وَاعْصِمْنِي مِنْ مِثْـلِ أَفْعَالِهِ، وَلا تَجْعَلْنِي فِي مِثْلِ حَالِهِ.
preserve me from the like of his acts, and place me not in the like of his situation!
أللَّهُمَّ صَلِّ عَلَى مُحَمَّد وَآلِهِ ،
O God, bless Muhammad and his Household,
وَأَعِدْنِي عَلَيْهِ عَدْوى حَاضِرَةً تَكُونُ مِنْ غَيْظِي بِهِ شِفَاءً،
and assist me with an immediate assistance that will heal my rage toward him
وَمِنْ حَنَقِي عَلَيْهِ وَفَاءً.
and redeem my fury toward him!

Reciter: Hajj #Abo_Ayman | With English Subtitle
أللَّهُمَّ إنَّ أَحَداً لاَ يَبْلُغُ مِنْ شُكْرِكَ غَايَةً
O God, no one reaches a limit in thanking You
إلاّ حَصَلَ عَلَيْهِ مِنْ إحْسَانِكَ مَا يُلْزِمُهُ شُكْرَاً،
without acquiring that of Your beneficence which enjoins upon him thanksgiving,
وَلا يَبْلُغُ مَبْلَغاً مِنْ طَاعَتِكَ وَإن اجْتَهَدَ
nor does anyone reach a degree in obeying You, even if he strives,
إلاَّ كَانَ مُقَصِّراً دُونَ اسْتِحْقَاقِكَ بِفَضْلِكَ،
without falling short of what You deservest because of Your bounty.
فَأَشْكَرُ عِبَادِكَ عَاجِزٌ عَنْ شُكْرِكَ
The most thankful of Your servants has not the capacity to thank You,
وَأَعْبَدُهُمْ مُقَصِّرٌ عَنْ طَاعَتِكَ،
and the most worshipful of them falls short of obeying You.
لا يَجبُ لأِحَد أَنْ تَغْفِرَ لَهُ بِاسْتِحْقَاقِهِ،
To none of them is due Your forgiveness through what he himself deserves
وَلا أَنْ تَرْضَى عَنْهُ بِاسْتِيجَابِهِ،
or Your good pleasure for his own merit.
فَمَنْ غَفَرْتَ لَهُ فَبِطَولِكَ،
When You forgivest someone, it is through Your graciousness,
وَمَنْ رَضِيْتَ عَنْهُ فَبِفَضْلِكَ
and when You art pleased with someone, it is through Your bounty.
تَشْكُرُ يَسِيرَ مَا شُكِرْتَهُ وَتُثِيبُ عَلَى قَلِيلِ مَا تُطَاعُ فِيهِ
You showest gratitude for the paltry for which gratitude is shown to You and You rewardest the small act in which You art obeyed,
حَتَّى كَأَنَّ شُكْـرَ عِبَادِكَ الَّذِيْ أَوْجَبْتَ عَلَيْهِ ثَوَابَهُمْ
so that it seems as if Your servants' thanksgiving for which You hast made incumbent their reward
وَأَعْظَمْتَ عَنْهُ جَزَاءَهُمْ
and made great their repayment
