[0:14]raheem i begin in the name of the almighty god the compassionate

[0:22]the merciful the one who has created everything in utmost perfection and

[0:28]may the peace and blessings of the almighty god be upon his

[0:33]pure and beloved messenger the peak of his creation the symbol of

[0:37]humanity the holy prophet muhammad and his immaculate progeny of the bait

[0:50]peace be upon them especially the leader of our time the awaited

[0:56]savior al-imam al-m may allah hasten his reappearance and make us all

[1:05]amongst the sincere and dedicated servants my respected brothers and sisters assalamu

[1:12]alaykum it is truly my great honor and my great privilege to

[1:20]be united with you after three years i know it has been

[1:27]a difficult three years with the pandemic crisis with the challenges that

[1:32]came with the pandemic but we are infinitely grateful to allah subhanahu

[1:36]wa ta'ala it was a challenge but we learned also many lessons

[1:42]from the pandemic so we are thankful to allah for protecting you

[1:47]for protecting us and for uniting us again in the month of

[1:54]ramadan allah subhanahu describing the descent of the first modern human being

[2:12]allah makes this command descend from it from that heaven now there

[2:26]is going to be a trial there is going to be some

[2:32]enmity satan was also commanded to descend because he was able to

[2:35]mingle in the heavens but after his attempt to deceive adam allah

[2:41]subhanahu ta'ala also commanded him to come to the earth and then

[2:48]allah subhanahu ta'ala states that in this earth you will have a

[2:57]fixed time in this earth you will have an abode i will

[3:06]give you a fixed time here allah subhanahu wa ta'ala informs us

[3:12]how the modern human race came to earth today when you ask

[3:20]people when you ask those who are secular how is it that

[3:26]human beings achieved what they have achieved today how did we get

[3:30]here you find that you don't get a satisfactory answer today you

[3:37]find people telling you that human beings got here as a result

[3:40]of some evolutionary accident this planet somehow formed based on millions of

[3:53]coincidences and then somehow mysteriously the first life evolved on earth and

[3:58]then you have the flourishing of life animals plants until we come

[4:06]to the human being today we just descended from previous species and

[4:10]we don't really have a purpose without religion what is the purpose

[4:15]human beings are just continuing this random event called evolution but you

[4:22]don't really find purpose in this life in this world but in

[4:27]the beautiful religion of islam allah subhanahu ta'ala teaches us that i

[4:31]have a plan for you there is purpose don't think that you

[4:38]just ended up here on earth by accident without any divine power

[4:44]guiding you you think you just came here by accident allah subhanahu

[4:49]ta'ala says i have a plan now i installed a representative called

[4:57]adam he represents me he's my first prophet there is now a

[5:00]plan with the modern human being allah declares to us what this

[5:07]plan is now in our discussion tonight we want to see does

[5:13]history and does modern science confirm that since adam alaihissalam descended on

[5:19]earth something new and unique happened because whatever religion teaches us make

[5:28]no mistake that science and history confirm it there's nothing in our

[5:37]quran nothing in the teachings of albeit that's not confirmed by science

[5:42]that is not confirmed by history so when we look at history

[5:45]what do we see happening the last 10 000 years this is

[5:51]a very important question and then we'll see how allah subhanahu wa

[5:55]ta'ala is the one who inspired modern civilization through his prophets our

[6:02]religious teachings tell us that when allah subhanahu ta'ala created prophet adam

[6:07]there were human-like figures before prophet adam alaihissalam i'll share with you

[6:15]a few interesting hadiths about this according to one hadith that's a

[6:21]sheikh narrates in the book it's a very long lengthy interesting hadith

[6:26]basically the prophet sent a letter to the jews of khaibar inviting

[6:33]them to join the religion of islam so they hesitated whether he

[6:40]was truly a prophet or not or they just wanted to make

[6:43]up an excuse so they said let's send a representative we will

[6:49]send abdullah bin salam go and interrogate this man he says i

[6:56]gathered hundreds of questions to ask him from our books from our

[6:59]scriptures go and ask him if he has the answer to all

[7:04]of your questions then indeed he is a prophet so abdullah ibn

[7:08]salaam comes he asks the prophets many questions as sheikh al-mufid narrates

[7:12]some of those questions now some of them were just technical maybe

[7:16]they just wanted to know if he's aware of the jewish history

[7:20]for instance abdullah bin salam amongst the questions that he asked the

[7:25]prophet sallallahu alaihi he tells him which place on earth has seen

[7:30]the sun only once the sun shined on it only once they

[7:37]asked the prophet quickly the prophet said it's that place where prophet

[7:42]musa alayhi salaam split when he split the sea the sun shined

[7:48]on the floor of the sea that is the only time that

[7:53]that floor saw the sun this was a question that they asked

[7:56]allah another question that he asked the prophet sallallahu alaihi he told

[8:03]him tell me about a messenger rasool that god has sent he's

[8:08]neither an angel he's neither a human being he's neither a beast

[8:13]which rasool which messenger from god is this quickly the prophet salallahu

[8:18]alaihi stated it is the raven or the crow that allah sent

[8:26]to show kabil how to bury the body of his brother so

[8:29]he they would ask the prophet questions like that amongst the questions

[8:34]that abdullah ibn salam asked the prophet sallallahu alaihi he tells him

[8:40]inform me before human beings lived on earth who lived on earth

[8:44]the prophet said the mala'ika the angels he said and before the

[8:49]angels he said the jinn they fully inhabited the earth he asked

[8:55]him okay before and before the jinn he said also adam human

[9:00]like figures then this man this jewish man asked the prophet salallahu

[9:05]alaihi give me a timeline what timeline are we talking about the

[9:10]prophet sallallahu alaihi states that between the jinn and the previous human-like

[9:21]figures there existed a period of two million years al faye elf

[9:27]am in arabic al faye alf means two thousand by one thousand

[9:31]that is two million years today when you read these scientific discoveries

[9:37]that they discovered a skeleton that belongs to a human-like figure that

[9:42]goes back to three million years this is confirmed by our hadith

[9:45]subhanallah everything that science discovers is in line with our religious teachings

[9:52]there is nothing that science contradicts in the holy quran and in

[9:59]the teachings of the bait another hadith is narrated by a sheikh

[10:02]sadhuk speaking about the previous adamites he tells his companion he tells

[10:15]him before you modern human beings seven rounds of adamites came to

[10:23]earth but you are not from them they were different you come

[10:27]from the prophet adam all human beings today you come from prophet

[10:33]adam but there were seven rounds of human-like figures before you so

[10:39]our beautiful religious teachings acknowledge that there were human beings who basically

[10:47]resemble the modern human being in their physical appearance who existed on

[10:54]earth so now we want to see what happened since prophet adam

[10:58]alaihissalam came but the question is when did prophet adam descend on

[11:05]the earth the quran does not give us a timeline right this

[11:08]is something we have to fetch from our hadiths when you analyze

[11:14]the hadith of the bait you come to the conclusion that prophet

[11:18]adam alaihissalam was very recent in our history as recent as eight

[11:24]to nine thousand years ago not millions of years ago eight to

[11:31]nine thousand years ago and ayashi narrates an interesting hadith was told

[11:40]that people say the age of planet earth is seven thousand years

[11:43]imam said no that's nonsense it's a lot more than that it's

[11:48]not seven thousand years then the imam alayhi salam states when allah

[11:52]created adam allah subhanahu wa ta'ala determined for adam and his progeny

[11:59]ten thousand years till the day of judgment allah has determined ten

[12:03]thousand years then the imam al-isram in this interesting hadith he says

[12:13]and 7 200 years have passed since when did the imam say

[12:23]this 1300 years ago so at 1300 to 7200 what do you

[12:28]get 8 500.

[12:28]according to this narration prophet adam alaihissalam existed 8500 years ago which

[12:34]is extremely recent in our modern history some people have the impression

[12:38]that he lived maybe millions of years ago but when you analyze

[12:44]our hadiths it's actually very very recent also when you look at

[12:48]the hadiths that tell you the gap between prophets for instance prophet

[12:51]nu hades salaam comes a thousand years after prophet adam and then

[12:55]prophet ibrahim alaihissalam after x amount of years when you add all

[13:01]of those years together you end up with seven to eight thousand

[13:05]years and that is truly fascinating and here you see the plan

[13:08]of allah subhanahu wa ta'ala my dear brothers and sisters what happened

[13:11]in the last 8 500 years no evolutionary scientist can explain to

[13:17]you the explosion of civilization in the last 8 000 years when

[13:24]you look at the history of the planet you see evolution right

[13:30]progressing in incremental steps very slowly every 500 000 years something happens

[13:37]every 1 million years you've got something significant evolving but then when

[13:44]you come to the last 8 000 years you see civilization exploding

[13:49]what explains that how is it that the human being started to

[13:55]build these vast civilizations in such a short amount of time religion

[14:00]gives you the answer allah states i inspired them with the knowledge

[14:09]had all the knowledge and he shared a lot of his knowledge

[14:14]with his progeny you see that human beings when did they start

[14:18]to cultivate grains fruits plant them eight thousand years ago the first

[14:24]archaeological record of grapes being cultivated in farmland is 6500 bc that's

[14:33]8500 years ago which is exactly you know compatible with the time

[14:40]frame of when adam ali salaam descended to the earth according to

[14:44]one of our hadith when adam alaihi salam descended to the earth

[14:49]brought to him all the seeds that human beings need to live

[14:55]on all the seeds that human beings need he gave him a

[14:59]handful he told him here you and your progeny you will need

[15:02]this subhanallah in in the history of the planet before 8 000

[15:07]years there is really no record of human beings cultivating wheat barley

[15:12]grains fruits on such a mass scale this happens in the last

[15:17]8 000 years is that a coincidence what happened in the last

[15:20]8 000 years why do we see this rapid pace of evolution

[15:26]this rapid progress what explains it religion tells you allah now decided

[15:34]to bring a prophet who has the full intellect guided by allah

[15:38]subhanahu wa ta'ala that's what happened during the last eight thousand years

[15:42]writing do you know when writing flourished on the planet when did

[15:48]human beings learn how to read and write do you know it's

[15:51]as recent as eight thousand years ago according to archaeological evidence the

[15:56]earliest records of actual complex writing that they can find is the

[16:01]year 6000 bc around 6000 bc in mesopotamia which is modern-day iraq

[16:07]now look at our religious teachings they tell you the first prophet

[16:12]who officially taught people how to read and write is who which

[16:16]prophet prophet idris prophet idris lived in mesopotamia around that time frame

[16:22]is this a coincidence everything that humanity needed was inspired by allah

[16:30]subhanahu wa ta'ala how to cultivate the lands allah inspired us how

[16:35]to read and write allah subhanahu ta'ala inspired us that's why you

[16:40]recite allah read in the name of your lord he taught you

[16:52]how to write with the pen allah gave you that knowledge allah

[16:55]inspired you and he gave you that knowledge through prophets such as

[16:59]prophet idris it is this pen that gave rise to civilizations without

[17:05]this pen there would be no civilization subhanallah look at the simplicity

[17:10]of the creation of god that gives you complexity when you see

[17:16]a huge skyscraper today that represents our modern civilization realized that this

[17:23]skyscraper would not be standing if it weren't for the pen visualize

[17:27]a pen next to it it's this pen that allowed human beings

[17:31]to exchange their knowledge to learn from each other's experiences and to

[17:37]establish powerful civilizations it's this pen and allah says i am the

[17:42]one who taught you human being to write with the pen you

[17:46]think this existed before prophet adam islam show us the archaeological evidence

[17:50]there is no record of it i taught my prophets to write

[17:52]and they taught you how to write it's all inspired by allah

[17:57]subhanahu wa ta'ala so something amazing happened the last eight thousand years

[18:04]you can only make sense of the plan of allah subhanahu wa

[18:10]ta'ala through religious teachings allah subhanahu ta'ala is the one who inspired

[18:13]us he gave us the tools in order to establish the civilizations

[18:18]that we see today now you might think that the human being

[18:23]is naturally evolving and he's getting smarter we're getting bigger brains right

[18:28]well guess what what do you know in the last 10 000

[18:31]years the average brain of the human being has shrunk it has

[18:37]not grown subhan allah historically yes the size of the brain would

[18:44]become bigger and bigger and bigger right through some process of evolution

[18:49]we do acknowledge that there is evolution in the creation of allah

[18:52]subhanahu wa ta'ala but its purposeful evolution based on a delicate system

[18:57]that allah has created so yes the fossil record shows you that

[19:03]the human brain throughout the you know centuries and millennia does grow

[19:09]it is shown in the fossil record but the last 10 000

[19:13]years the human brain has shrunk it is smaller than 30 000

[19:20]years ago 40 000 years ago and yet you see this rise

[19:25]in civilization what explains that allah subhanahu ta'ala is the one who

[19:30]inspired everything we have is from allah and his prophets many times

[19:33]people in our society today we feel arrogant we think that we

[19:37]human beings you know just through exploration we discover many things how

[19:42]did your civilization get here it would not come here without the

[19:48]prophets of allah subhanahu wa ta'ala prophet what did allah inspire him

[19:52]to do allah mentions that in the holy quran allah subhanahu ta'ala

[19:55]inspired him to make an armor to shield him from what from

[20:03]iron before prophet dawud al-islam humanity did not have the technology to

[20:08]do that allah subhanahu wa ta'ala inspired prophet dawud al-islam at the

[20:14]very beginning of the iron age in order to take iron and

[20:16]to mold it and to make a shield out of it and

[20:21]that's truly fascinating everything you have is from allah even the knowledge

[20:25]and the science and the technology today that you have you couldn't

[20:29]achieve it if allah did not inspire humanity with knowledge through his

[20:35]prophets this is something that we must acknowledge because it will allow

[20:41]us to see a sense of purpose talk to the average person

[20:45]today they tell you there's no purpose life is just evolving randomly

[20:47]we don't even know where we're going allah says no i have

[20:50]a plan adam is my khalifa i have a plan for you

[20:52]humanity how many more signs do you want to see don't you

[20:57]see something changed the last 8 000 years don't you see the

[20:59]rise of civilization growing crops learning how to read and write why

[21:04]do you turn a blind eye to all of these divine signs

[21:09]these are signs that now i'm inspiring my prophets they are my

[21:14]representatives what proof do you need more than that and then there's

[21:20]something that has baffled and puzzled scientists today it's what's called the

[21:26]identical ancestors point i encourage all of you to study what this

[21:29]is go and research it tonight you will be baffled these scientists

[21:34]who tell you all human beings today descended from apes right through

[21:40]the common theory of evolution that many are advocating especially some atheists

[21:46]who want to reject the existence of god they struggle with an

[21:51]idea that if today all human beings evolved from those apes human-like

[21:58]figures millions of years ago our common identical ancestor should be way

[22:03]far back in history right because if all these people evolved from

[22:09]someone you know a million years ago you should find the same

[22:15]parent the same set of parents that today everyone on earth descends

[22:18]from to be way back in history you'd expect that to be

[22:23]a million years ago 500 000 years ago right and then you

[22:26]could say all people today go back to those two people they

[22:28]flourished from that tribe but through through modern technology by using computer

[22:38]software to analyze family trees and by doing genetic testing scientists have

[22:44]discovered that everyone on earth today goes back to the identical ancestor

[22:49]four thousand years ago between three to five thousand years on average

[22:54]four thousand years ago how do you explain that what happened four

[22:57]thousand years ago why is it that everyone today on earth whether

[23:02]you're in the west or in the east whether you're in asia

[23:05]in the middle east in north america south america why do we

[23:10]go back to the same parents 4 000 years ago what explains

[23:14]that when you look at the religious aspect you see subhanallah everything

[23:18]falling into place because our human history is very recent and then

[23:23]we had the flood of prophet nuh islam right prophet noah existed

[23:28]about 5000 years ago and that tells you that all human beings

[23:31]today they flourished after him because others flooded and they died and

[23:36]then humanity continued after prophet nuh islam everything the quran tells you

[23:41]is confirmed by modern science and by modern history i truly invite

[23:47]you to investigate this identical ancestor's point read it why is it

[23:51]so recent in our history what explains it how come everyone today

[23:56]on earth 8 billion people they go back to the same ancestor

[23:59]as recent as 4 000 years ago the theory of evolution cannot

[24:05]explain that it has to be much farther back in history for

[24:10]it to make any sense but allah teaches us that he is

[24:15]the one who created this human race from adam alaihissalam from the

[24:22]prophet adam alaihissalam and that allah subhanahu ta'ala has a purpose for

[24:28]us see these signs coming from allah don't say i don't have

[24:31]a purpose i do have a purpose and then my dear brothers

[24:36]and sisters for those of you who sometimes struggle with your iman

[24:39]with your faith you're going through a crisis during the pandemic many

[24:43]people were confused the rates of depression were very high the last

[24:47]two years the rates of suicide were very high the last couple

[24:52]of years why because people could not make sense of the global

[24:55]crises that were happening so much confusion existed out there in our

[25:03]societies anytime you're confused you're doubtful sometimes people you know tell me

[25:08]saying i don't really know if god's with me is he really

[25:12]there how can i feel his presence sometimes i feel like he's

[25:14]abandoned me he's left me if he's there somewhere anytime you have

[25:21]a doubt remember this hadith just inspect your creation and inspect your

[25:28]body look at the delicate way allah subhanahu ta'ala has raised your

[25:33]body you'll know you have a creator who knows exactly what what

[25:37]he's doing you don't need to go far to see allah subhanahu

[25:43]ta'ala just inspect your body see how allah subhanahu ta'ala positioned your

[25:49]different body parts your different organs is this something that would just

[25:56]come out of randomness allah subhanahu ta'ala says just look at your

[26:00]own fingers you'll see the miracle of my creation subhanallah you know

[26:06]the human face try to rearrange any aspect of it and you'll

[26:11]see how life would be miserable if you switch the nose and

[26:18]the mouth imagine if your creation was such that your nose was

[26:22]below your mouth you would not really enjoy the iftar that you're

[26:26]about to have soon inshaallah why because one of the joys of

[26:29]food is when you smell the food when you're hungry there's nothing

[26:35]more pleasing to your nose than what than the fragrant smell of

[26:39]food it's even better than the best cologne when you're hungry right

[26:42]if your nose was below your mouth you couldn't really enjoy this

[26:47]imagine if your eyes were at your lower jaw right your mouth

[26:52]here your nose here and then your eyes and your lower jaw

[26:55]every time you'd eat you would get a migraine because your you

[27:01]know eyes would go through a nice earthquake every time you would

[27:06]eat imagine the rahmah of allah he has created you in a

[27:10]perfect condition how many signs do you want and then allah also

[27:16]has created this body in a way that reminds you to worship

[27:19]him and keep away from sins in one beautiful hadith hadith in

[27:25]this beautiful hadith allah subhanahu ta'ala speaks to prophet he tells him

[27:32]adam convey this message to the people is o son of adam

[27:50]if you feel tempted to say that which is unlawful that which

[27:57]is haram backbiting namima causing fitnah between the people ruining someone's reputation

[28:01]saying inappropriate words one of the sins that we commit with our

[28:09]mouths is what with our tongue is saying profanity these days you

[28:12]see that it's very common in the culture of the youth when

[28:16]they're sitting together right they use obscene and profane words as if

[28:20]it's normal and it's cool the more profanity you use in your

[28:27]speech the more cool it is right you'll be the cool kid

[28:29]in your class the cool kid in your neighborhood the cool kid

[28:34]on tick tock and instagram and social media if you use inappropriate

[28:38]words every inappropriate word that you use is haram and it blocks

[28:42]the dua from being answered the angels do not raise the dua

[28:44]of a person who speaks profanity is one of them to use

[28:53]these words so allah subhanahu wa ta'ala tells prophet if you feel

[29:00]tempted and your tongue wants to say something that's haram i have

[29:03]helped you i have aided you with two layers two lips in

[29:10]order to imprison your tongue look at the tongue the anatomy of

[29:15]the tongue subhanallah it's like allah has put your tongue behind bars

[29:19]your teeth look like prison bars right just elongate them a little

[29:24]bit elongate them a little bit you'll see how they look like

[29:27]prison bars and then out of outside allah has given you lips

[29:31]allah says just look at your anatomy i'm teaching you through the

[29:34]anatomy of your body to be careful lock this tongue only when

[29:40]it's useful unlock it otherwise keep it locked at all times and

[29:43]then he says to prophet s and if you feel that your

[30:00]eyes are pulling you to see that which is unlawful that which

[30:03]is haram i've helped you i've aided you how how did you

[30:08]aid me allah i've given you these eyes these eyelids to close

[30:13]your eyes think about that anatomy as well indeed the creation of

[30:19]allah subhana ta'ala is truly mind-boggling you see all these signs all

[30:24]these signs and then after we see all these signs what do

[30:27]we do narrates a very moving hadith in bihar anwar my dear

[30:34]brothers and sisters now the narrator of the hadith says he read

[30:38]this in the original surah of ibrahim the book of ibrahim or

[30:44]the torah the book of prophet musa in this hadith allah subhanahu

[30:50]ta allah speaks to bani adam allah says oh son of adam

[30:57]you've not been fair with me why ya allah why are we

[31:02]not fair with you allah says look at how how i brought

[31:04]you to this life how you were in the womb of your

[31:12]mother protected from many dangers you cannot feel the cold winter the

[31:17]excessive heat doesn't bother you nine months you were resting in peace

[31:21]all your nourishment directly comes to you i gave that to you

[31:27]and then when you were born i put in the hearts of

[31:32]your parents to take care of you such that they don't sleep

[31:35]until you sleep and i gave you this milk and the heat

[31:41]in the cold weather it's so warm and pleasant for you and

[31:46]in the summer you feel the coolness of it subhanallah have you

[31:49]seen an infant that's bothered by the temperature of the of the

[31:53]milk of the mother have you ever heard of that it's always

[31:57]the perfect temperature for the infant and then i gave you my

[32:04]blessings now that you grow and i gave you the intellect and

[32:06]you can see right from wrong you fight me with your sins

[32:11]and you disobey me ma'am softening you have not been fair with

[32:15]me abner adam i took care of you now that i brought

[32:18]you to your adult age you come and you violate my laws

[32:26]you have no respect for my laws see what i have done

[32:28]for you to bring you to this life appreciate that so indeed

[32:33]when we look at the history of human civilization it's truly mind-boggling

[32:38]to see how allah subhanahu ta'ala gave us a purpose in this

[32:44]dunya just look at our modern history that becomes very visible to

[32:47]you how the prophets are the beacons of guidance and they inspired

[32:51]all these civilizations this is something that we must reflect on take

[32:57]life seriously the atheist tells you this life is some evolutionary accident

[33:02]quran tells you no this is the most serious stage in your

[33:08]existence because you're preparing for that infinite these days as we are

[33:15]celebrating the birth of imam al-hassan he has a beautiful statement and

[33:22]i conclude with this it was one year on the day of

[33:28]edel futur he was passing by and he saw a group of

[33:33]people partying and you know sometimes some parties can get very wild

[33:38]right so he saw a group of people partying a group of

[33:41]men were partying on the day of eid in an inappropriate way

[33:44]the imam alaihissalam told them on the day of eid this beautiful

[33:52]word of advice salaam told them stop reflect do you know what

[33:57]you're doing and then the imam tells them refers to those horses

[34:20]that have been trained to run and you know what they do

[34:26]to them in the past and probably even now for a while

[34:30]they would reduce their diet they don't give them that much food

[34:36]so they lose weight when a horse loses weight it's now lighter

[34:41]and it can race in a better way so they give the

[34:47]horse certain exercises to develop muscles so they remove the fat they

[34:52]allow the horse to develop muscles so that it does well in

[34:57]a race this is called madmar basically these horses that are highly

[35:01]trained the imam alaihi salaam says the month of ramadan is the

[35:07]midmar for you it's the month of training you've trained yourself for

[35:11]the day of eid on the day of eid you're partying inappropriately

[35:14]like that on the day of eid reflect ask yourself what did

[35:19]i learn what did i learn from the month of ramadan you

[35:22]just forgot the month of ramadan believe me some of us when

[35:27]the day of it comes that's it i'm back to my old

[35:31]habits to my old ways i have nothing to do with the

[35:35]teachings of ramadan anymore most muslims that's how they're living today imagine

[35:39]if someone is in a desperate need to lift their poverty let's

[35:47]say you have parents parents who are really really poor and they're

[35:52]counting on you you study 10 years to become a surgeon you're

[35:57]trained ten years to become a doctor and you're told now after

[36:03]you graduate and you can operate you have only one day to

[36:09]do surgeries only one day 24 hours do as many surgeries as

[36:13]you can for each surgery you're going to be given a million

[37:28]is passing can you already believe it three years have passed since

[37:39]difficulties but life is moving at a very fast speed are you
