[0:01]muham muhamad my dear brothers and sisters [Music] likewise I would like

[0:35]to offer my condolences to all of you my dear brothers and

[0:38]sisters and to all Muslims around the world on the passing of

[0:45]our holy prophet Muhammad sallallah alai Al Scholars say in order for

[0:59]an effective leader to lead the leader needs five qualities without those

[1:09]qualities or at least some of them a leader any leader Muslim

[1:16]or non-muslim cannot effectively lead what are those leaders what are those

[1:23]qualities number one a leader whether he leads a nation or a

[1:30]Community or a country or whatever or a company needs to be

[1:38]patient the leader needs to be optimistic about the future of his

[1:46]country his country his community his company whatever is he leading he

[1:54]needs to be resilient he or she need to be courageous accepting

[2:03]and allowing himself to take risks he needs to be honest he

[2:12]needs to be sympathetic and finally he needs to be humble without

[2:20]those seven qualities or at least some of them you will never

[2:27]be able to Be an Effective leader now we come to our

[2:33]holy prophet Muhammad sallallah alaihi Al wasam who is by far I

[2:37]can say he is the most effective leader on the history of

[2:44]humanity I don't say this my dear brothers and sisters those are

[2:50]not my word Dr Michael Hart in year 1978 he's an American

[2:58]Christian scholar wrote a book that was published on that year and

[3:02]I still maintain the Arabic version of that book and if you

[3:09]go to bars and Nobles or any major bookstore you may find

[3:14]a copy in English it says the most effective leaders the the

[3:21]100 most effective leaders in the history of a Humanity Dr Michael

[3:27]Hart rated 100 leaders and he placed Prophet Muhammad as number one

[3:35]leader effective leader in the history of humanity and even though he

[3:42]says I'm a Christian I do believe in Jesus and I follow

[3:45]Jesus but I talk I'm talking here about who is the most

[3:53]effective leader and by far it is Muhammad sallallah alaihi Al wasam

[3:57]according to Michael Hart so let's begin with the First Quality that

[4:04]the prophet sallallah alai wasam our whole holy prophet enjoyed and that

[4:09]is being patient patience is a great virtue my dear brothers and

[4:15]sisters some people underestimate the value of this virtue many people do

[4:23]not understand what it means to be patient why do we go

[4:28]to Hajj have you asked yourself to teach your patients Hajj is

[4:35]not about spinning around the ca walking between saf and Mar and

[4:40]going to andat anybody can do that ha is to teach you

[4:45]patience how to be patient why do we fast fast teaches you

[4:50]fasting teaches you to be patient for 17 18 hours a day

[4:58]you refrain from eating and drinking this teacher us how to be

[5:02]patient why do we pay and Zak and zaka means you're patient

[5:09]you're patient against your desires you agree to go against your greed

[5:14]you struggle with your greed you give out of your pocket this

[5:19]is patience our holy prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam was very patient extremely

[5:26]patient you cannot provoke him easily actually he's never he's never provoked

[5:38]you cannot provoke him no matter what he had this ability to

[5:43]contain himself and to basically be patient with people he listens he

[5:52]tolerate some of us some of us the minute you talk about

[5:59]me against me I will cut you off I will not give

[6:00]you the chance to speak some of us go wild some of

[6:09]us go wild when we are criticized the prophet even though he

[6:14]was a prophet of Allah s was he was a statement he

[6:19]was a president of a country but sometime he listens to people's

[6:24]comment that are very offensive and he does not react very cool

[6:32]very very cool the Ayah I just recited inat how many of

[6:36]you have recited that Surah in the Quran it's a short Surah

[6:43]of 18 verses Surah huat the chambers basically this this whole chapter

[6:50]in the Quran Alat teaches Muslims one main thing how to deal

[6:56]with the prophet when you are in the presence of the Prophet

[6:59]how do you conduct yourself how do you speak to him how

[7:04]do you address him how do you deal with him that's the

[7:07]whole idea behind this chapter Surat Allah speaks about the conduct of

[7:13]certain people at the presence of the Prophet the story says that

[7:23]a delegation from the tribe of tamim 18 19 of them came

[7:27]to Medina to meet the prophet alai wasam it just happened that

[7:33]they arrive in Medina right after the prayer everybody is gone including

[7:39]the prophet they came to the Masjid the prophet was not in

[7:44]the Masjid the Salah was over he went home to take a

[7:48]nap it was during summertime the temperature was so high and everybody

[7:54]went home to sleep and to rest a little bit including the

[8:00]prophet sallallahu alaihi Ali was the prophet within a few hours he

[8:05]had in the 24 hours day the during within those few hours

[8:09]only he had often he takes an hour half an hour after

[8:17]prayer to rest to take a nap that was his tradition so

[8:23]the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam comes home and he takes a nap

[8:30]this delegation of those nomads Arab Nomads arrive in Medina they came

[8:34]to meet the prophet they come to the Masjid they don't find

[8:36]him they ask about him they tell him they tell them he

[8:41]is in his home resting so they come to the house of

[8:46]the Prophet sallallah alaih they stand before the walls of his house

[8:54]the chambers and instead of waiting for ass prayer in one hour

[8:58]or so the prophet will come out out to lead ass prayer

[9:04]and they could met him then and instead of waiting for another

[9:07]hour or when they come to his house instead of knocking on

[9:10]his door all they did they stood behind the wall of his

[9:18]house calling him by his naked name oh Muhammad come out we

[9:25]need to talk to you now imagine a messenger of Allah the

[9:30]most respected person the most respected person on Earth between two parentheses

[9:38]we have a Hadith that when jbel Angel gibrael the most honorable

[9:44]angel of Allah when he used to come to see the prophet

[9:50]meet the prophet delivering a message from Allah he sits before the

[9:55]prophet just like a slave sits before his Master Slave sitting before

[10:01]his master that's how Angel gibrael treats the prophet yet you got

[10:11]those people calling on him with his own naked name Muhammad come

[10:15]out we need to see you the prophet sallallahu alai wasam wakes

[10:22]up he interrupt his sleep he comes out he greets them he

[10:29]says Salam to them he tell them come with me to the

[10:34]Masjid with his face smiling with a big smile on his face

[10:41]he has already prepared some gifts for them he hands them their

[10:51]gifts one by one and with a big a smile he bid

[10:56]them farewell and they leave but Allah did not let this a

[11:01]per Unity this you know event to slip before Allah subhah called

[11:08]those people those who call you from behind Chambers most of them

[11:24]do not reason they are ignorant people have they waited had they

[11:31]waited a little bit it would have been much better for them

[11:36]instead of coming and calling the prophet sallallahu alaihi Al wasallam so

[11:43]cool he never reacted so patient it wasn't the first time my

[11:50]dear brothers and sisters every now and then one Chieftain tribal Chieftain

[11:58]those tribal Chieftain used to be the most uh I would say

[12:08]the most powerful figures in the Arabian Peninsula but yet the most

[12:18]ignorant ones he has 10,000 followers 10,000 soldiers a guy like he

[12:25]has 10,000 soldiers in his disposal that's what history says but he

[12:31]is the most ignorant and arrogant person he comes to see the

[12:37]prophet and who he founds next to the prophet his wife AA

[12:43]that was before hijab was prescribed for Muslim woman Aisha was sitting

[12:48]next to the prophet her face is shown apparently she was a

[12:51]beautiful woman he enters the room without even knocking in the door

[12:59]without asking permission that's the first mistake he makes the second mistake

[13:05]he makes he does not say Salam he just enters and he

[13:12]comes and he sat next to the prophet he looks at AA

[13:17]he says is this your wife the prophet says yes he says

[13:21]are you willing to swap I give you my wife and you

[13:27]give me your wife imagine if it was someone else else other

[13:30]than the prophet what would he say how would he act I'm

[13:36]sure at least if I was there I would take my shoes

[13:41]and I hit him with my shoes on his head trust me

[13:45]if someone would say something like to like this to me what

[13:48]did the prophet say the prophet lowered his head and he says

[13:54]Allah would not allow me to do something like this that's it

[13:59]the prophet says to him by the way you entered the room

[14:04]without permission you didn't ask for permission the man says you know

[14:11]what I have never asked permission to enter on any Arab person

[14:18]so arrogant he says and you forgot to say Salam say I

[14:23]don't need to say Salam to anybody the prophet doesn't say anything

[14:27]he says okay how is your family how is everybody he answers

[14:35]then he leaves then the prophet tells say sitting next to him

[14:41]he says this guy is the stupid who is obeyed by thousands

[14:56]of people he has 10,000 soldiers you see how stupid he is

[15:00]you see how irresponsible Reckless he is yet he has 10,000 people

[15:10]following him but the point my dear brothers and sisters that the

[15:15]prophet sallallah alai wasam had the ability to deal with all kind

[15:20]of people trust me that's the most difficult job to deal with

[15:27]so many mentalities personalities some people who are reasonable some people who

[15:33]are not reasonable some people who are humble some people who are

[15:37]arrogant it's very difficult to keep all those people happy and pleased

[15:44]but that was the job of the Prophet to keep everybody happy

[15:47]he gives enough attention to every person speaks to him when you

[15:53]shake hand with him he shakes hand with you but he does

[15:59]not let your hand down and until you take your hand back

[16:02]and he speaks to you as as making you feel that he

[16:11]is your best friend because of the warmth he gives you because

[16:16]of the attention he pays to you that's a great skill you

[16:22]cannot find in everybody my dear brothers and sisters but our holy

[16:27]prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam had this ability number two the second quality

[16:35]that our holy prophet sallallah alaihi Al wasam enjoyed and that is

[16:42]to be optimistic you know I'm sure you have some friend you

[16:46]run by some friends some family members some strangers once you talk

[16:54]to them for 2 minutes the conversation with them takes a very

[17:03]dark twist those people who are very pessimistic the minute they start

[17:11]talking they make everything look black Grim as if it's the end

[17:15]of the world if they talk about the economy they tell you

[17:21]the economy is so terrible if they talk about War and Peace

[17:24]they make it sound like tomorrow is the harmodon is coming if

[17:30]they are talking about uh medicine they make every scenario make it

[17:39]look so Grim they dramatize basically everything they produce such negative energy

[17:45]I'm sure you have met those people in your life stay away

[17:50]from those people always when you s find those people who are

[17:56]very negative pessimistic all they do they pick on things things that

[18:01]are negative stay away from them look at the prophet sallallahu alaihi

[18:05]wasallam at the most challenging times Muslims are surrounded by the enemy

[18:12]in the battle of kandak the ditch Muslims are terrified why because

[18:20]there are 10 or 12,000 Warriors from all around the Arabian Peninsula

[18:25]flock to Medina encircling Medina and they are about to invade Medina

[18:31]and basically if they do they will wipe out everybody they will

[18:34]kill everybody they will do in Medina what Israel did in Gaza

[18:41]the prophet sallallahu alaihi wasallam comes out never being intimidated and he

[18:49]tells them look I see you Muslims are conquering Syria in a

[18:56]few more years you are conquering Jordan in a few more years

[19:00]I can see the Palaces of their kings falling in your hand

[19:06]few Hypocrites sitting there they started mocking the prophet look at him

[19:13]he's telling us we're going to conquer Syria and Jordan we cannot

[19:16]even go to the bathroom for fear that we could be attacked

[19:19]by the enemy he's telling us that we are going to conquer

[19:25]Syria yes they did in a few more years Muslims conquered Syria

[19:29]Jordan and when the prophet died few years later the entire Arabian

[19:34]Peninsula came under his rule he was by far the most powerful

[19:42]leader in the Arabian Peninsula he was always optimistic always and he

[19:49]tells Muslims to always be optimistic don't let things small things little

[19:55]tiny things weaken your will and your ability to move on every

[20:02]sad and tragic incident he would encounter he would turn it into

[20:08]bliss into an opportunity take for example him leaving Mecca the prophet

[20:16]left Mecca as a fugitive fugitive 10 years later this fugitive came

[20:27]back to Mecca and conquered Mecca and Mecca fail under his authority

[20:32]his power some people make a big deal of small things they

[20:41]live in a black hole they cannot get out of their whole

[20:48]our holy prophet teaches us how to turn every tragedy every tragic

[20:53]incident you go through into an opportunity for you to get up

[20:57]and move on and heal resilience you know my dear brothers and

[21:04]sisters how do you distinguish a true leader or from a fake

[21:11]leader a true leader or from a crook I tell you I

[21:16]tell you how you can distinguish two months ago the guy who

[21:21]is running now for the White House was speaking when someone shot

[21:28]at him you all remember right the bullet passed by his ears

[21:33]what did he do what did he do I'm asking you huh

[21:40]no no before that what did he do he fell on the

[21:45]floor he was nowhere to be found for 15 minutes he was

[21:50]nowhere to be found he was down crawling you couldn't find him

[21:58]am I right or wrong please correct me 15 minutes later he

[22:04]got up doing like this come on coward 15 minutes later before

[22:12]earlier you were like a rat hiding be be behind the podium

[22:18]nowhere to be seen when you make sure that there is no

[22:24]more threat to your life you came out doing like this using

[22:26]the f word this is how you tell if this guy is

[22:38]on is is true leader an honest leader or if he is

[22:41]a crook he's an opportunist the prophet sallallah alai Ali wasam was

[22:49]encountering enormous challenges especially when he was in Mecca there is the

[22:58]psychological War being waged against him the physical War being used and

[23:04]utilized against him there was no word in the dictionary that meccans

[23:09]did not use against the prophet croak a magician a liar a

[23:19]monk you name it in addition to that the physical harassment but

[23:25]the prophet never gives up never never shows is see a sign

[23:30]of weakness at all no matter what they threatened to kill him

[23:37]and they attempted to kill him he didn't care they sent a

[23:44]delegation to him headed by his uncle Abu Talib tell your nephew

[23:48]whatever he wants money we will raise money for him women we

[23:55]will make him marry the most beautiful prettiest women in Mecca if

[23:59]he want wants to become a king of the Arabia we will

[24:01]anoint him as the king of Arabia just tell him what does

[24:07]he want we're willing to give him as long as he abandons

[24:12]his mission he stops saying I'm prophet of Allah the prophet sallallahu

[24:18]alaihi wasallam listens to Abu Talib quietly and then he says go

[24:24]tell them my beloved Uncle go tell them tell them my beloved

[24:43]uncle that if they put the son in my right hand the

[24:48]moon in my left hand so I would abandon this Mission I

[24:51]will never do that until I Prevail or or I die this

[24:58]show how resilient he was how strong he was never being intimidated

[25:07]that's how you tell if he is a true leader or fake

[25:10]leader if he's someone commissioned by Allah or someone who is commissioned

[25:17]by his own personal interests that's how you tell if he is

[25:20]resilient or not honest the prophet was the most honest person person

[25:30]most politicians die uh uh lie most politicians lie in order to

[25:38]earn following in order to please people they tell people things that

[25:46]are not true they make false promises they exaggerate their own status

[25:54]sometime they exaggerate their own resume they claim that they have uh

[26:01]certain uh credentials that turn to be fake but the prophet sallallahu

[26:10]alaihi never does that never he's very honest with people let me

[26:14]give you an example many politicians take advantage of people's emotion and

[26:22]sentiment they ride their sentiment they hype up they hype up emotions

[26:27]so they can get more legitimacy from people the prophet had a

[26:36]son 3ye old ibraim died he died the day he died there

[26:44]was a solar eclipse it just happened that when ibraim died simultaneously

[26:52]he solar eclipse bash people listen stop those rumors Sun and Moon

[27:13]are two great signs of Allah they are not eclipsed for anybody's

[27:19]death stop it period he could have hyped up people yeah look

[27:26]when my son dies you know there is the solar eclipse lunar

[27:32]eclipse but he didn't why because he's an honest person he's a

[27:40]prophet of Allah subhah wa ta'ala he's not a typical politician he's

[27:45]not a sham he is someone who is instilling in his followers

[27:51]mind and brain to be honest even if this honesty goes contrary

[27:56]to your own person interest he would not take advantage of people's

[28:04]feelings he doesn't try sentiment courageous the prophet sallai any leader any

[28:17]true and effective leader has to be courageous there should be no

[28:25]fear in his heart a man who leads an um a nation

[28:27]of 1 Point 8 billion people should not have fear in his

[28:33]his his heart if he has a fear if he fears people

[28:37]then he cannot be a true leader a true leader should not

[28:43]fear no one but Allah subah wa taala that's why the prophet

[28:50]sallallahu alaihi wasallam at every battle waged against him and I underly

[28:57]the word waged against him no battle the prophet waged himself no

[29:02]battle all 83 battles waged during his life they were waged by

[29:11]the enemy all defensive every time there is a battle the first

[29:16]one to appear at the battlefield is who the prophet himself he

[29:21]would not sit or hide somewhere and send Muslims he would be

[29:26]the first to be there to fight right in front of the

[29:31]enemy in the battle of the enemy almost killed the prophet almost

[29:38]they reached a very very very short distance they were within very

[29:45]short distance from the prophet himself and one of them managed to

[29:52]get too close to the prophet that he threw Iraq on his

[29:54]face and he hit his teeth and there was blood all over

[30:00]his face but that didn't deter the prophet from fighting for being

[30:05]from being a fighter in the battlefield there is a very beautiful

[30:11]story about the prophet in one of his battles there was rain

[30:17]and his shirt was completely wet socking wet the prophet looked around

[30:27]and he saw a tree after the rain stopped the prophet spotted

[30:32]a tree nearby he went he took his shirt off he hang

[30:39]it on the in the tree and he sat beneath it waiting

[30:42]for his shirt to dry all of a sudden a man from

[30:51]the enemy side spotted the prophet sitting by himself no companion no

[30:56]Aid around him he's by himself he thought to himself this is

[31:01]the best opportunity for me to attack Muhammad I go to him

[31:04]he's by himself no one around him I'm going to kill him

[31:07]and by the way the prophet didn't have a sword with him

[31:09]didn't have any weapon the prophet is sitting under the shade of

[31:16]the tree waiting for his shirt to dry while the prophet sitting

[31:20]under the shade of the tree the man approached with his sword

[31:23]in his hand telling the prophet come in sa Muhammad who's going

[31:33]to save you from my sword yeah Muhammad the prophet as he

[31:37]is laying down under the shade of the tree having his feet

[31:45]extended having his hand crossed over his chest he looked at the

[31:49]man with a smile on his face didn't the man say who

[31:55]is going to spare you from my sword the prophet says Allah

[31:59]Allah that's all what he said Allah will save me from you

[32:06]the minute the prophet said Allah the floor was a slippery because

[32:11]of the rain because of the clay so the minute because of

[32:18]the mud the minute the prophet says Allah the man slipped and

[32:22]he fell down immediately the prophet got up and took the sword

[32:26]from him and he said said to the man who's going to

[32:34]save you from my sword the man being overwhelmed with the prophet

[32:39]he looks at the prophet and he says your pardon your pardon

[32:48]will save me the prophet says get up go go didn't harm

[32:51]the man he was able to harm him but didn't finally my

[32:57]dear brothers and sisters SS sympathetic the prophet was very sympathetic people

[33:07]who lack empathy they are dangerous they are narcissists beware of them

[33:14]there are people who show the respect you but the minute you

[33:19]go through difficulty they withdraw from your life they use you as

[33:22]long as they need you they use you the minute the minute

[33:28]you mean nothing to them they cannot use you anymore they don't

[33:32]care about you even if you die the prophet would not be

[33:38]like this the prophet always shows empathy to people an insane lady

[33:44]an elderly insane probably she had Alzheimer I'm not sure she would

[33:47]come to the prophet she says I need you I need to

[33:51]talk to you nobody talks to her nobody cares the prophet says

[33:54]yes tell me when and where I can meet you I will

[34:00]meet you there she says tomorrow morning you come to my house

[34:03]will you he says yes I will come to your house the

[34:06]prophet goes to her house finds out what she needs fulfills her

[34:10]need helps her and he leaves the prophet had 1,000 other things

[34:16]to do but he chose out of all those things to go

[34:23]to this lady why because he's very sympathetic he has sympathy for

[34:27]people and that's great quality my dear brothers and sisters only true

[34:35]leaders enjoy selfish people opportunist people narcissist people they are not blessed

[34:40]enough to feel the pain in people's heart but true leaders do

[34:47]they feel what you feel and they sympathize with you and that

[34:53]is our holy prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi Ali wasam and finally and

[35:02]finally my dear brothers and sisters humility the prophet was very humble

[35:13]extremely humble that when a stranger comes to his chamber he cannot

[35:19]distinguish he cannot tell who the prophet is why because there is

[35:23]no designated Throne set for him there is no special seat for

[35:30]him there is no special place for him there is a Masjid

[35:32]just like this the prophet sits somewhere his companions come and sit

[35:38]next to him he makes a circle why because in the circle

[35:47]you don't know who is the top who is the bottom so

[35:51]when a stranger comes inside the Masjid to look for the Prophet

[35:55]The Prophet doesn't have any special outfit like like me for example

[35:59]with a special turban a black turban and Abaya no because at

[36:05]that time everybody wors turban everybody so everybody is wearing turban everybody

[36:11]is wearing the same outfit everybody is sitting in a circle so

[36:14]I don't know which one is Prophet Muhammad sallahu alaih wasallam he

[36:19]asked Muhammad which one of you is Muhammad the prophet says it's

[36:25]me so humble down to earth when he enters the Masjid some

[36:33]Muslims out of respect stand up for him he says don't do

[36:35]this don't do this for me don't bother yourself Salman Salman was

[36:44]Persian Persians hold great respect for their kings and their leaders Salman

[36:49]would make a point to come to the prophet personally takes his

[36:53]hand and kisses his hand the prophet's hand the prophet says Salman

[36:56]don't do this don't do this obviously he is doing this out

[37:04]of respect out of love out of reverence and he was doing

[37:07]the right thing but because the prophet is so humble he says

[37:12]no no please don't do this don't kiss my hand he refuses

[37:16]why because he's humble his wife was asked when he comes home

[37:24]what does he do tell us how does he spend his time

[37:30]at home she says I find him either cleaning sometime he cleans

[37:37]he cleans the house sometime sewing sewing his own clothes sometime he

[37:43]helps his wife with cooking the food or if she's cutting the

[37:47]meat he helps her with cutting the meat or just doing anything

[37:56]like any husband does at home nothing's special he does not sit

[38:02]like a a king giving orders do this don't do that very

[38:06]humble as far as eating he doesn't make any order to any

[38:16]door Dash or Uber he whatever he finds home he eats one

[38:22]day he comes home and he finds a piece of bread on

[38:30]the floor most of us what do we do we take that

[38:32]piece and we throw it in the garbage right the prophet takes

[38:38]it he cleans it with his hand and he eats it and

[38:41]he tells his wife please please don't do this don't let this

[38:49]happen again this is from Allah don't throw the of Allah on

[38:54]the floor he eats it and then he tells his wife remember

[38:57]if Allah gives you a and you appreciate that Allah shall increase

[39:03]you but if you show any gratefulness if you go any Grateful

[39:09]Allah will take that n from you and will give it to

[39:14]other people he will eat it my dear brothers and sisters I

[39:19]don't have much time I would like to conclude here because we

[39:25]have 7 minutes away from aan and our dear brother uh Nuri

[39:31]Sardar is going to have a short poetry I ask Allah subhanahu

[39:34]wa ta'ala to Enlighten our heart with Theif with the Deep knowledge

[39:39]of our holy prophet sallallahu alaihi wasam I pray to Allah subhah

[39:46]wa taala to enable us to follow his footsteps and I ask

[39:49]Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala to grant us his sha his intercession on

[39:57]the day of judgment muhami Muhammad in the few minutes before Salah

[40:24]in I want to take you to the land of because as

[40:28]we know the prophet peace be upon Him faced many challenges and

[40:31]trials in his life and none of them affected him more than

[40:39]the tragedy ofd as the prophet says Hussein is from me and

[40:49]I am from Hussein Allah loves the one who loves hin now

[40:52]this first part of that line Hussein is from me something very

[40:55]obvious hin is his grandson his fles his blood but the second

[41:00]part and I am from Hussein the prophet is saying I myself

[41:03]and from Hussein this line is something that if we Ponder on

[41:08]it for years we will never understand it Subhan Allah so I

[41:11]want to take you now in these these last days of saf

[41:16]the past two months we've been spending remembering abdah let me take

[41:20]you again to the final moments of abdah in the final moments

[41:25]of IM Hussein there are three types of people he hears that

[41:28]are calling his name before I tell you those three types there's

[41:34]one type of people who he does not hear calling his name

[41:37]who are they they are his family and his companions that bodies
