[0:00][Applause] [Music] s [Music] [Music] Shah [Music] [Music] illuminate your malalis and
[1:11]Enlighten your hearts with a loud salaat for Muhammad and Al Muhammad
[1:19]respected brothers and sisters the most important tenant of our faith is
[1:28]the belief in the Oneness of Allah subh waala that there is
[1:33]no God besides Allah and every messenger that Allah used to send
[1:37]to his tribe and people that messenger's Duty was to convey the
[1:41]most important message his first message and the most important was that
[1:45]of a to invite people to believe in Allah and only Allah
[1:50]to get rid of the idols and that's why when was sent
[1:55]to his people and he began to invite them to Islam Islam
[1:58]was one sentence one message you want to become a Muslim you
[2:04]want to become successful say there is no God but Allah and
[2:07]then gradually the other came so this is the most important tenant
[2:11]of our faith the believing in Allah subhana tala only and disbelieving
[2:16]in the other gods and idols and Allah subhana T says in
[2:23]the Holy Quran Allah says that he has ordained two things two
[2:30]Commandments the two most important Commandments they come together number one the
[2:36]belief in Allah subhanahu wa taala only to be a monotheist and
[2:40]then the Ayah says after that Allah Allah said and to be
[2:47]kind and generous and compassionate and merciful with your parents now Allah
[2:51]could have chosen any other thing Allah could have said Salah he
[2:54]could have said zakat right after but he chose to choose the
[2:58]importance of our parents respect ing our parents and being kind towards
[3:04]them right after which is the most important that we believe in
[3:07]and that's why likewise is the most important belief likewise the greatest
[3:14]sin that we can commit is what sh the Holy Quran says
[3:20]if someone dies and he has committed sins he does not repent
[3:27]Allah says if those sins if amongst those sins was shik I
[3:29]won't forgive you you if you don't repent you just die while
[3:34]you're mush but if there were other sins Allah May forgive you
[3:36]this is without repentance with repentance even sh will be forgiven this
[3:40]is if someone dies without Toba Allah says I will not forgive
[3:43]you if it is sh so with shik Allah subhana wa taala
[3:48]is strict Allah subhanahu wa'ta'ala is not lenient with shik if you
[3:53]do shik Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala will be strict with me and
[3:58]that's why this is the greatest sin that someone could commit but
[4:02]however sh with Allah subhana wa tala completely does not accept if
[4:06]the person that is committing the sh is our parents Allah all
[4:11]of a sudden becomes lenient towards my parents Allah says in the
[4:16]Holy Quran about our parents if your parents tell you to do
[4:23]they are mus you're a Muslim and they tell you to do
[4:27]sh they tell you my dear son my dear daughter do sh
[4:31]PRI straight to this idol worship this individual besides Allah now this
[4:34]is what this is basically like Waging War with Allah because we
[4:37]said is the number one crime that the human being can do
[4:42]so if your parents are encouraging you to perform the number one
[4:45]sin which is like Waging War against Allah all of a sudden
[4:49]Allah becomes a little Leni and soft because they are my parents
[4:52]what does Allah say Allah says go and fight them and kill
[4:56]no Allah says number one you can't listen to them if my
[4:59]parents tell me to dis by Allah of course Allah comes before
[5:03]my parents so I can't say since my father and mother telling
[5:05]me do sh I'm going to do shik no my father comes
[5:09]before EV my my Lord comes before any human being even if
[5:11]they're my parents and that's why unfortunately I have heard many stories
[5:15]of certain parents mother father or both their daughter wants to wear
[5:19]hijab but the parents they discourage them don't wear hijab hijab is
[5:25]backwards hijab is this hijab is that do I have the right
[5:27]to follow my parents no I never follow any human being if
[5:32]they are leading me away from Allah this is a rule I
[5:35]never listen to a human being even if they are my parents
[5:38]if they are disbelieving Allah so Allah says do not follow them
[5:45]don't do don't do don't listen to them but however still you
[5:48]have to be respectful with them you have to live with them
[5:55]and treat them with kindness with respect even if they are what
[5:58]even if they are telling you to do sh what does this
[6:02]Ayah show you this Ayah highlights that there is no that there
[6:05]is no person that has been given a prominent position like the
[6:09]father and the mother even if they tell you do sh you
[6:11]have to respect them but don't listen to them and that's why
[6:16]there's a beautiful story that's narrated by alfi a man by the
[6:21]name of zakar IIM he comes to IM one day and he
[6:26]tells him that I used to be a Christian man and I
[6:27]converted to Islam Allah guided me and I went to Hajj and
[6:31]now I have a question the IM tells him what's your question
[6:36]he tells him that my family are still Christians they did not
[6:38]convert my mother his father had apparently died my mother is an
[6:41]old woman and she's a Christian woman and when we get on
[6:45]on the dinner table we want to eat can I eat with
[6:47]them or not the Hadith says said did they eat pork or
[6:52]not now the question of the IM even though he said pork
[6:54]but the IM meant did they eat meats or not the IM
[6:57]the the man he told the Imad no they don't eat pork
[7:01]those meats IM told him that you can eat as long as
[7:02]they are not eating Meats because we cannot eat the meat of
[7:06]non-muslims if I want to eat meat I has to be Halal
[7:10]has to be given to me by a Muslim has to be
[7:10]slaughtered in the Islamic way so he tells him that you can
[7:15]eat with them as long as it's not the meats and then
[7:19]the Imam he tells him I have some Wills for you I
[7:20]have some advice for you after you go back to your city
[7:24]I want you to start treating your mother better than before I
[7:28]want you to give her a special extra treatment treat her with
[7:33]kindness treat her with respect more than when you were a Christian
[7:36]and I want you to take care of all her needs and
[7:39]if she died she's an old woman if she died you will
[7:42]be the one that will take care of her burial and her
[7:44]funeral don't leave her for someone else so the Imam tells him
[7:48]this this man goes back to Al kufa he lived in Al
[7:50]KFA his mother is a Christian he goes back and he the
[7:54]words of IM are in his mind so now he starts treating
[7:58]his mother better than before he he treats her with so so
[8:01]much respect so much kindness he begins to cook for her and
[8:03]feed her and he begins to even change her clothes and do
[8:07]her laundry and treats her like he's he's the father and he's
[8:09]his daughter and she's his daughter so he begins to treats her
[8:15]treat her in in a very beautiful way the mother begins to
[8:18]notice what's going on she tells him my dear son what happened
[8:22]ever since you changed your religion you have been treating me in
[8:25]a much better way what has happened he tells her yes this
[8:27]is the will of my IM my IM told told me to
[8:30]do this so she said is he a prophet he told her
[8:34]no he is the grandson of our Prophet she said no he
[8:38]must be a prophet because such words of wisdom to respect your
[8:40]mother even if she's from another religion and to respect her more
[8:45]than you were a Christian such words only come from a prophet
[8:49]he tells her this man is the grandson of our Prophet if
[8:51]he's this great can you imagine how the prophet is how great
[8:55]the prophet was so she says my dear son I want you
[8:59]to tell me about Islam he tells her about Islam and she's
[9:02]convinced and she eventually Embraces Islam he teaches her Salah he says
[9:05]that day that she became Muslim she prayed Salah after she began
[9:11]to feel sick and Ill she fell ill and that same night
[9:17]she died before she died she told her son once again I
[9:20]want to make sure that my faith is correct she says and
[9:25]then she says the names of all the Imam he says then
[9:33]I went and I buried her with the Muslims and I prayed
[9:37]on her janaza what a beautiful story this is brothers and sisters
[9:41]we learned three lessons from this story number one what do we
[9:44]learn we learn from the story that if someone spends his entire
[9:48]life away from Allah but even the final day of their lives
[9:50]they turn to Allah Allah will still forgive them this woman her
[9:53]entire life she was a Christian the last day of her life
[9:58]she becomes a Muslim and she truly repents to Allah she dies
[10:03]a she dies a person a pure person that Allah subhah wa
[10:06]taala had forgiven that's number one number two the second lesson we
[10:09]learn is what what a beautiful message this Hadith is to non-muslims
[10:13]imagine if we tell non-muslims about this Hadith that our IM his
[10:18]will to his Shia is to what is to respect your mother
[10:20]even if she's a Christian you're a Muslim and to respect her
[10:25]more than when you were a Christian so what does this tell
[10:27]them that once I become a Muslim I have to try respect
[10:31]my parents more than before even if they are from a different
[10:33]religion can you imagine how beautiful this message would be in the
[10:37]eyes of non-muslims Christians this is number two and number three it
[10:43]shows the prominent position of our mothers and fathers but specifically mothers
[10:48]it shows that Islam respects and has a position for our parents
[10:53]like no other religion even if she's a Christian even if they
[10:59]are mus idolators I respect respect them and like I said especially
[11:06]mothers because the Hadith of said that a man the Hadith says
[11:09]the man came tool and he told him Yol Allah who should
[11:13]I be kind to he said your mother he asked then who
[11:14]he said your mother he asked then who he said your mother
[11:18]three times and then the fourth time he said your father Hadith
[11:22]that all Muslims are narrate so your mother comes before your father
[11:27]and the Hadith the other Hadith of the Prophet says what does
[11:33]this mean he says Heaven that we all want to go to
[11:39]inshallah we'll go to heaven one day Heaven is beneath the feet
[11:41]of your mother what does this mean if you want to enter
[11:46]Heaven your mother will be a gate if your mother is pleased
[11:47]with you you will enter if not you will not so you
[11:51]cannot enter Heaven unless your mother is pleased with you the Hadi
[11:53]did not say your father even though my father is important and
[11:57]I have to respect him and he has to be pleased with
[12:01]me but the Hadith emphasizes on our mothers and the question here
[12:07]is why why all this emphasis on our parents what's why this
[12:11]exaggeration you might ask various reasons if I am not a parent
[12:14]maybe I pose this question but if I am a parent I
[12:18]already understand the answer how many sleepless nights do we spend with
[12:21]our children raising them how many nights how many days how many
[12:27]countless hours do we spend with our with our children aming them
[12:30]how many nights our CH children are sick they can't sleep and
[12:34]we have to spend hours even though I may have an exam
[12:38]tomorrow I may have work tomorrow I have toit but yet I
[12:42]have to spend the night with my child and I'm happy when
[12:44]I do that and that's why the Holy Quran says about this
[12:49]and we have what we have advised the human being and we
[12:55]have enjoined him upon what we have enjoined upon him to be
[12:57]kind towards your parents that be kind towards your parents and then
[13:04]the Holy Quran says Allah mentions the mother because the mother we
[13:11]have to be honest the mother is the one that spends most
[13:15]of the time with the children and the Quran says that for
[13:18]those nine months the mother she Bears the child she carries the
[13:23]child trouble after trouble pain after pain can you imagine we fathers
[13:29]We Men We we we don't understand this because we don't experience
[13:31]it the mothers they know this for nine months you has to
[13:33]carry this child and then is it over when the child comes
[13:37]to life no when the child is born the you know it's
[13:42]even gets sometimes more difficult for the Holy Quran says at least
[13:47]two years the mother has to breastfeed she has to take care
[13:51]of the changing the diapers and basically doing everything for the baby
[13:54]and it's the mothers that usually do the most of the most
[13:56]part and then after that the mother has to raise the child
[14:00]the father has to raise the child and then when they become
[14:02]you this this is when the problems begin this is when they
[14:07]begin to develop other beliefs and when they begin to rebel against
[14:09]the parents and so many parents have a hard time with their
[14:11]children so all this trouble all this Agony just so I raise
[14:15]a human being so he can live by himself independently so is
[14:18]Allah subh asking too much no and thus the Hadith of says
[14:23]that one day a man came to and he told him y
[14:26]I am so kind with my mother she's an old woman I
[14:30]carry her on my back I feed her I do everything for
[14:35]her I take care of her in the best way have I
[14:39]repaid my mother because you know how much she did for me
[14:43]have I repaid her he tells her he tells him no you
[14:45]have not and then he says why he says a beautiful Hadith
[14:52]the holy prophet [Music] says he says every part think about about
[14:59]it brothers and sisters a mother and her child every part of
[15:05]her body is at the disposal of the child not just her
[15:08]time even her body is at the disposal of the child the
[15:15]Hadith says what look at her stomach her womb she gave it
[15:18]to you nine months just so you grow in it brothers and
[15:22]sisters no matter how kind I am with another person and hospitable
[15:25]what's the most thing I can do the most thing I can
[15:28]do is I tell him come and sleep in my house correct
[15:31]I give him my house if I want to be more kind
[15:32]I tell him come and sleep in my master bedroom I'll sleep
[15:34]on the couch can you imagine giving your stomach to someone 9
[15:38]months there's no kindness above this as for your food what was
[15:49]your source of food it was her breast the milk that she
[15:51]breasted fed you with so your what Your Home is the stomach
[15:56]and then once you're born your food is from her also and
[15:58]then the holy prophet says and her feet are your ve vehicle
[16:04]babies when they want to go somewhere they just cry the mother
[16:08]has to take it's like a car from and her hands are
[16:14]for your protection anytime when the child is bothered or when the
[16:17]child is it's the mother that uses her hands to protect her
[16:22]child and her lap is a chair for you anytime our children
[16:26]are born they just come and sit at on our on our
[16:31]laps correct so all my body the body of a of a
[16:32]mother is at the disposal and at the service of the daughter
[16:36]and the son those babies and then we ask why and then
[16:39]the holy prophet says and when she did all of that for
[16:46]you her all all her time and bodies for you she wished
[16:52]that you lived a long life you won't see parents usually say
[16:55]with their babies oh when will I get rid of this baby
[16:58]when will he grow and you know I can finally relax No
[17:01]in fact you see parents say I love my I want my
[17:03]child to always stay a child because of how much I enjoy
[17:08]raising my child she wants you to live a long life she
[17:10]doesn't want you to die she doesn't consider this a burden but
[17:18]you when you carry your old mother your old weak mother on
[17:23]your back and you feed her you may not say it but
[17:26]you think with yourself when will my mother finally leave this world
[17:29]and I can relax I've seen certain families when the father he
[17:33]becomes very old Alzheimer's he can't do anything he can't even go
[17:37]to the restroom they have to take him and clean him they
[17:39]have to do he's just like a baby Subhan Allah the other
[17:43]day they sent a picture an old woman and a baby sitting
[17:44]next to each other they're one they're equal they both are in
[17:48]need of other human beings this is how Allah subhana you start
[17:51]weak you become strong and then you go weak so I've seen
[17:54]certain families when the when the father or the mother becomes so
[17:59]ill and sick and they have to take care of them they
[18:00]begin to tell them so when will they finally leave and this
[18:04]burden will be taken off our back they might not say it
[18:06]but they think it correct why number one because it's a burden
[18:11]number two sometimes with the father there's inheritance so what so you
[18:15]want this person to die and leave this world but does the
[18:17]mother ever think that does the mother ever say that so the
[18:21]holy prophet says of course you will never repay your mother of
[18:23]course you will never repay your father and that's why in another
[18:27]Hadith the holy prophet said if you serve your mother if you
[18:33]serve your mother as much as the drops of the ocean and
[18:35]the particles of sand how many drops of the ocean and how
[18:40]many raindrops are there we can't count them trillions upon trillions if
[18:43]that's how many days you serve your mother how many sand particles
[18:47]are there unlimited Allah knows if you serve your mother that many
[18:51]days the holy prophet doesn't say you have not repaid your mother
[18:56]he says you have not repaid one day of pregnancy 9 months
[19:00]time 30 is 270 days correct you have not paid one out
[19:04]of 270 just pregnancy let alone the other years after you're born
[19:07]and you after she's raising you and in another Hadith I saw
[19:09]the holy prophet said you won't even repay one contraction when she
[19:14]was delivering you and then we ask why does Allah subhana T
[19:18]give our parents such a high position mothers fathers they give everything
[19:23]that they have for their children so it's obvious that Allah subhana
[19:27]asks you to be kind toward was your parents there was a
[19:32]interesting and a very heartbreaking story that I read about a mother
[19:36]and a son the story says that there was a mother and
[19:41]she had a young son who used to go to Middle School
[19:44]the mother's face was somewhat deformed it was distorted because of an
[19:50]incident that happened in her life and she because of that the
[19:56]son was uncomfortable if his mother was around him so anytime she
[20:03]used to come to pick him up from school if his friend
[20:07]see that this is his mother and she looks so weird they
[20:10]would laugh at him he would look weird so he would tell
[20:13]her all the time that don't pick me up in front of
[20:17]the school I need you to park far and I come there
[20:18]and he would always break her heart and tell her things oh
[20:23]I'm so ashamed I'm so embarrassed when you come and I don't
[20:25]love you and all of that and he would tell her when
[20:27]is the day that I can finally leave this house and go
[20:30]away and live a normal life because I'm always looked down upon
[20:32]you I have a a weird mother and that mother that resembles
[20:35]a monster in all this nonsense so he would always break her
[20:40]heart but she never said anything she would always laugh she would
[20:44]always smile she would always look back at him with love until
[20:48]he finally turned 18 and he said my mother my dear Mother
[20:57]goodbye I will never see you again he he went into those
[21:01]dorms he moved to another city he graduated he got married and
[21:04]he never never spoke to his mother she used to send him
[21:09]letters he would never read them he completely rejected her out of
[21:13]his life until one day finally years after she decided to go
[21:17]visit his son in that town that he had moved to in
[21:21]the city and now he had he was married and he had
[21:24]children so she found the the address she went she knocked the
[21:27]door who comes to open the door the grandson his her son's
[21:32]son he's a young child 5 years old he opens the door
[21:35]he sees this woman and her face is deformed so he begins
[21:38]to R cry out loud monster and he runs away crying the
[21:40]father comes what is this he comes he sees his mother instead
[21:44]of telling his mother come my dear Mother inside I have not
[21:47]seen you for so many years let alone the all the harmful
[21:52]and negative things that he had done to her now after years
[21:54]she has come and she is standing in front of his house
[22:00]what does he tell her how dare you come and follow me
[22:03]you ruined my life and now you want to ruin my children's
[22:05]life why did you come and now you see you scared my
[22:08]children he tells her I never want to see your face again
[22:11]and he closed the door he closes the door on her face
[22:16]she leaves his house but with a broken heart and with her
[22:22]eyes brimming with tears but she never says anything she leaves she
[22:26]goes back to his house once again years pass by and he
[22:30]receives a letter one day telling him that your mother has passed
[22:36]away and the funeral will be on this day when he hears
[22:38]his mother has passed away he said you know after being such
[22:43]an ungrateful son towards my mother let me go and at least
[22:45]participate in her funeral in bual so he goes to his City
[22:51]his town he participates in the funeral after that he says let
[22:54]me go to my mother's house and look around he goes in
[22:57]that house he remembers the old memories and then finally he finds
[23:01]a note he finds a note and on it it says this
[23:09]is to my dear and only son to him my dear son
[23:13]I need you to know something first of all I want you
[23:16]to forgive me all the pain that I caused you she doesn't
[23:20]say all the pain you caused me she tells him all the
[23:22]pain I cause you this is how mothers are their hearts are
[23:25]just so great for all the embarrassment that I caused you but
[23:28]however I wanted you before I die I wanted you I wanted
[23:32]to write the story so that after I die you know the
[23:35]story I want you to know of an incident that happened when
[23:37]you were a child when you were a baby one day when
[23:40]you were sleeping in your room and I was sleeping in my
[23:42]room there was a fire that erupted in the room and that
[23:47]fire got out of control and I went and I risked my
[23:52]life to save your life and Meanwhile my face caught on fire
[23:59]and this is how my face became so distorted because I tried
[24:02]my best to rescue you and save your life and know that
[24:08]even though you never loved me and you never showed me love
[24:13]I never for one day regretted what I did I love you
[24:15]my dear son from your mom when he read that story can
[24:19]you imagine what happened to him all those years he was embarrassed
[24:21]from his mother's looks it was all because of him because she
[24:24]wanted to rescue him but never did she one day tell him
[24:29]that you're making fun of me I got this look because of
[24:33]you you would have been dead if I wouldn't have come in
[24:35]the room and saved you he collapsed and he began to cry
[24:40]and cry but what's the point his mother is dead now she's
[24:44]six feet under this is maybe a story that we hear but
[24:47]we can all we can all attest to this that our mother's
[24:55]heart are so vast and so great and our mothers they sacrific
[24:57]so much for us is it too much that Allah subhah wa
[25:02]ta'ala he says he asks us to show them kindness to show
[25:04]them respect and that's why says no matter what you do you
[25:10]will not pay repay for one day of the pregnancy you will
[25:12]not even repay one contraction that she had when she delivered you
[25:18]there's no exaggeration in this and that's why brothers and sisters there
[25:23]are a few points that we have to keep in mind when
[25:26]it comes to our parents and and I will mention six points
[25:29]and this is not just when we say when we speak about
[25:33]these topics what what do we usually think I'm speaking to the
[25:35]children no this is for all of us to me to you
[25:39]even if you're 60 70 years old these points some of them
[25:44]they also apply to us we all have parents none of us
[25:47]don't have parents so some of these points will definitely apply to
[25:51]us six points I will quickly mention when it comes to dealing
[25:53]with our parents Point number One never ever disrespect your parents if
[26:00]your parents your father or mother made a mistake one day they
[26:03]were wrong never ever hurt their feelings never rebuke them never scold
[26:08]them never yell at them never hurt their feelings if they promised
[26:12]to take you somewhere if they promised to do something for you
[26:18]but they couldn't or they didn't never ever yelled at them and
[26:21]hurt their feelings do you know what the Quran says the Holy
[26:23]Quran says do not even say of to them of the of
[26:29]means what he says in the Arabic language the least way in
[26:35]which you express dissatisfaction is through of if you're dissatisfied with someone
[26:39]you're angry sometimes you can go and pick a fight sometimes you
[26:42]can swear you can curse sometimes you can object other times you'll
[26:45]just say your mother says do the laundry do some chores your
[26:49]father says you're grounded whatever the least thing you can do is
[26:54]say of correct the Holy Quran says do not do this this
[26:55]is Haram this is a sin the small smallest sign of dissatisfaction
[27:01]is Haram so Allah is telling us it's completely unacceptable to show
[27:06]any disrespect to your parents this is point number one point number
[27:09]two that we learned from the story I mentioned never repel your
[27:12]parents and push them back especially if they want to show you
[27:17]love and affection now what's unfortunate about this country is that once
[27:20]our children begin to grow what are they taught in this Society
[27:23]your parents are not cool can you imagine if the mother kisses
[27:26]her 15-year-old children in front of her in front of his or
[27:31]her uh friends this is so uncool this is embarrassing and so
[27:34]many children I see they push their parents back when they show
[27:39]them love never do this Wallah you'll regret it one day when
[27:41]you become a father and mother you will see what an ungrateful
[27:43]and ungrateful daughter you were toward your parents never push that in
[27:48]fact you should be the one that initiates these affectionate and loving
[27:52]actions with your parents you started not them they they want to
[27:55]show you love and you push them back doesn't matter what my
[27:59]friends think let them think I'm not cool the point is I
[28:02]please my parents this is point number two point number three that
[28:06]we have to keep in mind show them utmost respect meaning what
[28:10]unfortunately in this country this isn't this isn't taught in the schools
[28:13]and this this doesn't exist in in the families number one every
[28:18]time you greet your father and mother kiss their hands kiss their
[28:23]forehead yes there's nothing wrong with that show them that respect every
[28:29]time if it's not every time do it at least once a
[28:30]week at least once a month kiss their hands in that in
[28:35]their forehead show them that love number two never walk in front
[28:37]of your parents this is something I see many times the son
[28:41]the daughter they're walking in he's 17 18 20 25 his father
[28:44]Walks Behind do not do this even this you might see it's
[28:48]small it's trivial but even to this extent I respect my parents
[28:50]do not walk in front of them walk behind them if they
[28:54]are carrying something don't just walk you take what they I see
[28:56]sometimes the mother is carrying or the Father the load and the
[28:59]son is just walking no you take the load from them and
[29:02]number three anytime they enter wherever you're sitting stand up don't just
[29:08]say Salam stand up and sometimes unfortunately we're sitting I see some
[29:11]some youth they're sitting like a couch potato watching TV the father
[29:14]com Salam Salam Baba that's not how you say Salam to your
[29:17]father and mother you stand up and give them a standing ovation
[29:20]yes if your father and mother don't deserve that who do my
[29:24]friends that so these are some things that we have to make
[29:27]a habit when your father and mother around show them respect and
[29:30]that's why you see that I've seen many many you know faithful
[29:36]families I see the child he's brought up in a way in
[29:41]which he treats his father and mother as if he's a he's
[29:43]a servant and they are the Masters there's never too much with
[29:49]our parents the more I show them respect the more Allah will
[29:52]give me success this is number three number four the fourth point
[29:55]with our parents is what is try this this is difficult I
[30:01]know but try your best to never refuse any request that they
[30:04]make our parents sometimes do this do that come with me do
[30:09]this go over there and sometimes what sometimes we don't want to
[30:12]do it try your best to never ever reject and refuse a
[30:18]request of your parents Allah will give you the success in this
[30:21]world and in the everything they tell you try your best to
[30:25]do it even if it's difficult some people unfortunately when their parents
[30:28]ask something from them they see it as a burden oh my
[30:32]father wants me to go and bring something for him my mom
[30:34]wants me to do the chores they want me to take out
[30:37]the garbage don't look at it in that way see it's as
[30:41]an honor that I'm serving my mother and father and from time
[30:45]to time go and help them offer them tell them my dear
[30:50]father my dear my dear mother or father today I have 1
[30:51]hour free time can I help you in any way can I
[30:53]help you my dear Mother in the kitchen in the house can
[30:57]I do anything ask the father if you drive tell the father
[30:59]can I go pick up the children today I have free time
[31:02]do you want me to go buy something from the market whatever
[31:04]way you can offer always offer your services to your parents Allah
[31:08]will give you the most success in this way wah so many
[31:12]stories I have seen with my eyes those individuals that served their
[31:16]parents Allah subhana gave them so much in this world before the
[31:20]gave them success so this is number four number five be loyal
[31:24]to your parents and this is for the older generation when what
[31:28]do I mean when you're child when you when I was a
[31:31]child and I needed my parents when I was a child I
[31:38]needed my parents they were there for me correct when our parents
[31:43]grow old they once again become weak and they need us do
[31:46]not abandon them and neglect them and forget them when they are
[31:51]in need of you what's unfortunate about this country is that many
[31:54]many many sons and daughters when their parents grow old where did
[31:58]they send them nursing homes senior homes correct when you were young
[32:05]they raised you in their in their bedroom and now you send
[32:08]them to a to a senior house this is how you betray
[32:11]them this is how disloyal you are to them now sometimes yes
[32:14]sometimes maybe they can't they don't have the room they don't have
[32:19]the financial capability but that's only exceptions most of the times you
[32:22]see so many people in this country they completely forget about their
[32:25]children and their parents and they are completely capable of taking care
[32:30]of them this is what this is a form of betrayal be
[32:31]loyal to them when you were in need to them they were
[32:35]there for you now be there for them do not send them
[32:36]to the nurser to the nursing homes to the to the senior
[32:41]homes this is a form of a a way in which I
[32:46]become an ungrateful son an ungrateful daughter and Wallah if I do
[32:49]that my sons and daughters will do the same thing to me
[32:51]what goes around comes around they say famous you know as they
[32:55]say it as a joke that one day a daughter asked her
[32:59]mother my dear Mother I see a gray hair on your on
[33:00]your head gray hair there's one why is that so the mother
[33:05]tells her it's because of how much trouble you give me this
[33:08]gray hair is grown so the daughter she thinks H now I
[33:12]know why grandma has so much gray hair cuz you are her
[33:14]daughter however I treat my mother my children will treat me in
[33:20]the same way however I treat my father my children will treat
[33:22]me in if I want to end my life in the nursing
[33:25]home send your parents to the nursing homes this is one number
[33:28]two so take care of them with your time number two be
[33:31]generous if you're financially capable if they are in need be generous
[33:35]with them help them give them gifts these are your parents they
[33:38]gave you everything when you were a child and I personally know
[33:43]a family I know a son he's alhamdulillah financially capable W I
[33:49]have not seen such of this son all the expenses of the
[33:55]parents are on this son and their the parents they spend they
[33:57]spend every year they travel they go to Haj they go to
[34:01]they go to MH I don't know where they he bought them
[34:05]a house he gives them a salary every month anything they want
[34:08]he buys to them and he's financially capable and he in front
[34:11]of his father I seen him he's like 50 years old his
[34:14]father is 70 75 in front of his father he's like a
[34:17]Ser never does he rub it in does he oh my father
[34:21]I gave you so much W when I see this young this
[34:21]man's face I see a face of a person that will enter
[34:25]Jenna right away I don't care how many sins he has done
[34:29]his will be his intercession his such love towards his parents and
[34:35]some of us we don't have time for our parents when they
[34:39]ask us for something so small we cannot this is number five
[34:42]and finally number six is what always do Dua for your parents
[34:46]always do Dua for them in in Salah after Salah in any
[34:51]time you ask Allah for something begin with your parents read the
[34:55]duas of the Quran Allah I ask you to forgive my parents
[35:07]to show them Mercy in the same way that they were merciful
[35:09]with me and especially if they are dead do good deeds for
[35:13]them for example hold a magj for IM Hussein in their name
[35:17]bring food give to the in their name they will benefit from
[35:20]it read read Quran for them donate give to your local Islamic
[35:26]Center and intend it for the soul gift it to the soul
[35:28]of your mother and father so don't think that just because they
[35:32]died if their grave is in in in your city always visit
[35:34]them once a month at least only in that way I could
[35:39]be a grateful son and a grateful daughter our mothers our fathers
[35:41]they do so much for us but like I said especially the
[35:43]mothers and that's why when we speak about as andala you find
[35:50]so many beautiful examples of mothers that gave everything they had for
[35:54]IM Hussein for Allah for Islam amongst them was whom a say
[35:58]Z she gave her two children and Muhammad and she never even
[36:04]mentioned it she never even mention she sacrificed everything this was amongst
[36:08]them another one was aab she gave her little six-month old baby
[36:12]for the sake of Allah for IM Hussein another one was Lea
[36:17]the mother of ALB she gave her son another one was RA
[36:20]the mother of Al another one was the mother of the wife
[36:28]of and that's why it's narrated that when im Hussein wanted to
[36:34]go toala she was there she did not go with them she
[36:36]had to stay in Al Medina and when she when they wanted
[36:42]to leave she came to farewell them but before they left she
[36:45]called her son Abbas she called my dear son Abbas I need
[36:50]to tell you a few things what is it Abbas comes to
[36:53]and she tells him I have only one wish from you one
[36:55]will I raised you with my own hands I did everything for
[36:58]for you now I have only one wish for you to repay
[37:02]me what is that he she tells him I want you to
[37:04]take care of abdah Hussein sacrifice your life for ab abdah Hussein
[37:10]that's all I want from you Abbas take care of ab Abdullah
[37:12]and that's why the Hadith says the days went the days came
[37:17]back after the tragedy of carala when the woman were coming back
[37:21]to Medina a man by the name of he was leading them
[37:25]he entered Medina and he began to tell the people of Medina
[37:27]of how IM Hussein was killed he came to the city of
[37:32]Medina telling [Music] [Music] them he tells the people of Alina I
[37:46]bring you the sad news thatd was killed in now she's in
[37:52]Medina she hears that there is chaos commotion she comes out she
[37:55]sees Bish what do you say what do you have for us
[37:58]he tells her I bring news from carala so what does she
[38:03]tell him she tells him tell me about my son Hussein and
[38:05]she calls him my son that's all she cared about she doesn't
[38:09]ask about her biological Sons Abbas and the other ones she asked
[38:13]about AB abdah she tells him tell me about my son he
[38:18]tells her he tells her I console you because your three sons
[38:31]they are killed in she tells him tell me about Hussein he
[38:35]tells her for his hands were SED in when she hears that
[38:46]she cries out she tells him you have broken my heart I
[38:53]wish you would have never told me about Abbas but I want
[38:55]you to tell me about my son Hussein he tells her if
[39:00]you ask me [Music] [Applause] [Music] about if you ask me about
[39:17]Hussein I will tell you that his body is in but his
[39:19]head is on the spear and it is being moved from City
[39:24]to city and from country to Country [Music] [Music] brothers and sisters
[39:47]raise our hands together and let us ask Allah subhanahu waala With
[39:50]the blessings of IM Hussein and these tears that we have shed
[39:55]for ab abdah Hussein that he may forgive us and he may
[39:57]give us the the that we can be grateful Sons and Daughters
[40:02]to our parents Allah Allah [Music] [Music] [Music] salaat [Applause] [Music]
