[0:29]all in our last uh Quran class we were speaking about the
[0:55]meaning of Allah and we were reading the narration of IM Hussein
[1:01]in which he explains now the IM said that Allah himself explained
[1:11]in the two verses which come after the word Allah which are
[1:21]and the IM explained thoroughly the meaning of and the meaning of
[1:28]last week we were shedding light more on the second segment and
[1:33]we understood from the imam's word that uh lul indicates that Allah
[1:41]subhah wa ta'ala did not originate from anything he did not come
[1:48]out of anything the way something that is rigid or dense comes
[1:53]out of something else for example a fetus comes out of its
[1:59]mother's womb or uh the way something light something not dense something
[2:03]Latif comes out of uh a particular thing and the IM gave
[2:15]multiple examples we stopped at the the word of the Imam when
[2:23]he said [Music] so he says n he is Allah now previously
[2:38]we had mentioned um another meaning for a that is also based
[2:44]on the traditions of which is that is the master who is
[2:48]sought by all of the Creations for the Fulfillment of their needs
[2:57]he says meaning he is the one who did not come from
[3:00]from anything did not originate from anything so he has no parents
[3:04]and he has no Creator subhah wa taala when did he exist
[3:11]there's no when he's the creator of the one he's the creator
[3:13]of time for him he always existed all praise belongs to Allah
[3:29]the one who has no beginning is not inside of anything Allah
[3:38]subhana wa tala is not contained by anything finally he says and
[3:43]he is not on anything we mentioned if you remember that this
[3:50]word indicates that Allah subhana wa tala is not on top of
[3:54]any particular being which means he's not sitting on some Throne or
[3:57]some chair yes there is some something called The Throne there is
[4:04]something called the chair but Allah T is not sitting on it
[4:07]Allah does not even sit he doesn't stand he does not run
[4:10]he does not walk because he's not physical subhanahu wa taala he
[4:14]is a creator of physical matters and he's not limited he's the
[4:20]creator of limited things or matters then the IM said let me
[4:28]send you the the word of the IM forgot to send send
[4:33]it today he said meaning he is the creator of the matters
[4:45]of the things he's the creator of everything subhana wa tala and
[4:50]he is the one who created his beings he created the beings
[4:55]when there was no previous model of those beings hence the he
[5:08]said says he is the one who created the things meaning he
[5:17]created the beings with what with his power and I believe you
[5:22]know that Allah's power is his own self Allah's knowledge is his
[5:30]own self meaning his own Essence there's no difference between Allah's Essence
[5:35]and Allah's power or Allah's power and Allah's knowledge or Allah's knowledge
[5:38]and Allah's life there's as we said before the the break before
[5:46]Salat Allah T is not composed of any parts he is indivisible
[5:48]subhana wa taala so he is his own traits he is his
[5:55]own traits in aric they say all right right so when the
[6:04]IM says he's the one who created the things or the matters
[6:07]with his power this power that the IM is talking about is
[6:12]Allah it's not something different he is his own power he is
[6:16]his own ability subhanahu waala yeah it's a it's a known statement
[6:31]that you're going to hear a lot when you study yeah when
[6:34]you study beliefs ham sorry I couldn't hear you for a little
[6:47]bit but I fixed it no problem no problem yes just going
[6:54]back to step talk about the yeah a lot of this discussion
[7:01]we've done here we've uh basically said that uh a lot of
[7:03]these things we're referring to Allah is not a literal refer okay
[7:07]it's it's more metaphor like he doesn't sit he doesn't stand he's
[7:10]not on anything he's Beyond is is the AR a literal or
[7:19]is it something excuse me so has multiple meanings when we review
[7:24]the the narrations of and and what our Scholars have said about
[7:31]we understand that there are multiple meanings of so in According to
[7:36]some meanings is is physical yes or we can say includes physical
[7:46]beings because one of the definitions or one of the meanings of
[7:53]as mentions in the book is basically uh the skies and the
[7:57]Earth or the UN says all of that is the and we
[8:03]know that the skies and the Earth are what physical things physical
[8:08]matters right created by Allah subhanahu wa taala Allah is not sitting
[8:12]on the sky not sitting on the earth because he doesn't sit
[8:15]waala but there's a so in that context when we say for
[8:21]example un is it to imply that Allah has dominion over it
[8:27]is that what what the meaning we should take well you mean
[8:33]when he says no when you said that one of the meanings
[8:39]could be that the the whole universe is Allah yeah I'm saying
[8:45]is the there impli that the Allah's dominion over the universe is
[8:49]that what we trying to say by using the word oh um
[8:53]perhaps but I have to double check yeah yeah perhaps yes abdah
[9:12]yep yep for uh there's no difference between Allah's life Allah's knowledge
[9:30]and Allah's power yeah but we have to remember something um Allah
[9:36]subhanahu wa ta'ala creates life and creates power and also creates knowledge
[9:44]this created life knowledge and power isn't God it's different than Allah
[9:50]it's a creation of God right now I'm talking I have power
[9:55]hence I'm talking this power has been given to me and you
[9:58]by Allah it's created Power it's not Allah it's not his Essence
[10:05]right now each one of us knows a bunch of pieces of
[10:09]information right um that's knowledge is that Allah no that's created knowledge
[10:18]the knowledge of God is his own Ence so it is God
[10:20]himself it and that knowledge is unlimited so it's different than the
[10:26]knowledge that I and you have our knowledge is what Limited it's
[10:32]limited it's it's confined into certain things correct in your brain based
[10:41]on you know what modern science says you can store information in
[10:46]your memory you store information that storing indicates that the information is
[10:52]what is is limited it's limited it's confined by a particular thing
[10:58]Allah's knowledge is different than our knowledge the same applies to life
[11:03]Allah T gives us life and then he takes away life he
[11:06]makes us die is the life that I have Allah's life no
[11:10]it's given to me by Allah so you might say it's Allah's
[11:16]life in that sense meaning it's given by God but it's not
[11:18]his his own life his own life subhana wa tala is his
[11:24]own self and that's eternal life it's a kind of life that
[11:30]that mean you can not even imagine we understand certain things about
[11:33]it for example we understand that it does not die death never
[11:37]mixes with that kind of life right he was always alive is
[11:42]alive and will always be alive subhana T So death does not
[11:46]mix with it but what is its reality I don't know I
[11:51]can't even know because it's him it is Allah and Allah's reality
[11:58]cannot be fully comprehended yep Allah subhana wa tala is able to
[12:20]do anything when we say anything we're talking about literally everything that
[12:25]falls under the possible existent or possible being category meaning anything that's
[12:33]logically possible but if something is illogical meaning logic tells you this
[12:38]cannot be this cannot happen here we don't say Allah is unable
[12:43]to do it because it's not about him it's not that he's
[12:48]unable the the the deficiency lies in the idea itself the idea
[12:55]is self-contradicting hence Allah T will not do it you won't say
[12:59]Allah is not a a to do it because as you cannot
[13:04]say that Allah is unable to do a particular thing but here
[13:09]we say he doesn't do it because that specific concept or idea
[13:12]or thing is what self-contradicting the being the creation of God is
[13:19]limited as great as the creation may be he or she remains
[13:27]limited take the example of is there anyone greater than there isn't
[13:31]they're God's favorite they're this the Supreme Servants of Allah subhanahu waala
[13:41]but but even then this what happens when kids are in the
[13:46]anyways when um even then um do not fully know Allah subhanahu
[13:58]wa taala because they're creations of God yes the they have is
[14:05]is unlike any other kind of thus if if someone were to
[14:12]ask who knows Allah the answer would be Muhammad muham meaning they
[14:17]have the greatest kind of the greatest kind of knowledge pertaining to
[14:24]God that a creation can reach but even then there's there's still
[14:31]some that's that only Allah knows makes sense because he is the
[14:39]creator he's unlimited any other creation will have at least some kind
[14:47]of limit so the only one who fully knows Allah tal is
[14:51]himself makes sense but again I emphasize on the fact that their
[14:57]is unlike any kind of the marifa of God is is beyond
[15:04]imagination yes understand that of course the knowledge of IM Allah is
[15:22]not a complete yes no not they don't fully comprehended but let's
[15:27]say the knowledge about Allah has complete knowledge of of course does
[15:33]IMI have the same knowledge of Allah or is it again a
[15:37]lesser knowledge of oh that's a deep question mashall mallah let me
[15:48]think that that needs thinking yeah uh his knowledge of is it
[16:02]exactly is it is it to the same extent as Allah's knowledge
[16:08]of Allah or Allah's knowledge about Allah and Allah knows Allah fully
[16:13]he's his creation so he knows the prophet Inside Out based on
[16:19]the tradition the prophet tells him that only Allah and you know
[16:23]me so only Allah and Ali know does he know Allah to
[16:34]the same extent as what Allah knows about the prophet so I
[16:37]told them let me think there's one one thing that comes to
[16:41]mind which I'm confident about there's always a difference between Allah's knowledge
[16:44]and the knowledge of the creation which is the knowledge of the
[16:50]creation depends on God whereas Allah's knowledge is independent J but even
[16:56]if even if the creation was given full knowledge about a particular
[17:01]matter ER there would still be that difference which is the creation's
[17:07]knowledge depends on God but Allah's knowledge does not depend on anything
[17:12]make sense that's like were given they were given knowledge of the
[17:19]Unseen yes they were they know a lot of matters pertaining to
[17:24]the Unseen a lot of matters all of that was given to
[17:29]them by God for example they were taught about they were taught
[17:34]uh uh about the future the present and the past meaning they
[17:37]knew what happened in the past they knew what was going to
[17:44]happen in the future and they knew what was happening in the
[17:47]present that was given to them by Allah subhana and that is
[17:49]great knowledge by the way it's a it's a phenomenal type of
[17:54]knowledge so here one might say hold on in that case they
[17:59]know exactly what Allah knows yes meaning they know these matters which
[18:02]Allah knows as well but there's there are two differences one there
[18:07]is some kind of knowledge that is kept with Allah subhana wa
[18:15]tala only kept with Allah only and it's not given to anyone
[18:18]else the least we can say is as we said earlier only
[18:23]Allah knows his full reality subhana secondly the IMs they all need
[18:32]Allah to know what they know but Allah does not need anyone
[18:36]to know what he knows hence in the Quran I want you
[18:43]to keep this point in mind yeah so uh hence Quran Quran
[19:13]when talking about usually you'll find Allah attributes to himself and he
[19:24]mentions in the Quran that he only knows he he only knows
[19:32]the Unseen but there are verses that indicate that other people also
[19:37]know the Unseen with Allah's permission of course make sense when he
[19:42]mentions that these people know the Unseen Allah T changes the wording
[19:47]for example in he says he uses the word him all right
[20:03]in a in uh in another chapter of the Quran Allah tells
[20:08]the prophet um he tells him let me just pull out the
[20:15]verse for you so that I don't add or subtract any word
[20:33]H meaning whatever we mention to you is part of the news
[20:42]that pertains to the Unseen and we reveal it to you we
[20:46]do so the conclusion is what when Allah mentions in the Quran
[20:54]that he only knows the Unseen Allah means to say that he
[20:59]is the only one who knows the Unseen on his own mean
[21:01]he doesn't need anyone to teach him the Unseen he knows it
[21:07]he knows it before it even happens before it's even created for
[21:13]example they know they know it they know as we said a
[21:20]lot of the Unseen big part a huge chunk of the Unseen
[21:27]but that's given to them by Allah subhana waala yes about the
[21:39]special knowledge and the the the special sorry you're talking about the
[21:45]knowledge that Allah keeps for himself and the knowledge that are given
[22:06]of course course yeah that's a given Allah tal will give the
[22:14]prophet the knowledge he needs to properly carry out his role as
[22:18]a prophet that's a given yeah you can say there is a
[22:25]logical proof confirming that Allah subhanahu wa ta'ala must and will give
[22:30]the prophet the knowledge he needs to carry out his role as
[22:36]a prophet and the proof is if Allah does not do that
[22:38]then the prophet will not carry out his role which mean which
[22:42]means he will fail in his mission which means Allah T will
[22:47]not accomplish his goal behind sending the prophet so why send the
[22:50]prophet in the first place the same applies to the IM Allah
[22:56]must give the IM must give the IM all of the knowledge
[22:58]the IM needs to carry out his role as an IM but
[23:03]this this can be proven logically without even using narrations or aat
[23:07]from the Quran but when we come to theat or the the
[23:11]narrations find that the knowledge of is is beyond imagination Beyond imagination
[23:21]Allah subhana T gives them knowledge of so for example the sciences
[23:30]that we stud today or that we can study the academic Sciences
[23:35]know all of that and more you know all of that and
[23:41]more the we call them these uh issues that pertain to academic
[23:52]sciences that even Scholars are not able to solve problems that they're
[23:57]unable to solve have the solu sols for them languages they know
[24:05]all the languages languages of mankind and other creations as given to
[24:10]them by God yes don't have MH wouldn't know this follow I
[24:44]think we're out of time for Quran uh we'll stop here it
[24:53]was a fruitful discussion we'll continue next week inshallah alul m
