[0:01][Music] aldam [Music] brothers and sisters one of the most most controversial

[1:01]and delicate topics concerning is his birth who was the mother of

[1:10]Imam Al Mahi how exactly was Imam Al Mahi born and how

[1:15]did he spend the initial years of his life under his father

[1:18]imari these are very important questions that we must understand in order

[1:23]for us to get closer to our Imam because the more we

[1:27]know about him the closer we are to our Imam we we

[1:30]mentioned yesterday that every Muslim believes in the awaited savior in al-

[1:34]Mahi and we said that most Muslims do not believe that he

[1:39]was born they say he will be born in the end of

[1:42]time before he rises and fills the world with Justice but we

[1:45]the followers of a the sh the ja school of thought we

[1:51]unanimously believe that IM Ali was born in the year 255 after

[1:53]the hij of R Allah so almost 12200 years ago and then

[1:57]he went into a state of and Allah has prolonged his life

[2:00]until today until he will reappear one day and fill the world

[2:05]with Justice and today this belief that IM almi was born almost

[2:08]1200 years ago it has become an unquestionable and undeniable belief and

[2:14]Creed of a Shia so you won't find any scholar from the

[2:19]Shia or any educated Shia that will doubt the fact that Imam

[2:22]almi was born it's very clear-cut and we all believe in that

[2:25]point now however if we go back in history what you'll find

[2:30]is things weren't always like that between the Shia the Shia weren't

[2:34]always at a state in which all of them knew and agreed

[2:37]that IM Al M was born if you go back you find

[2:40]times of confusion where the Shia themselves they had disagreed in this

[2:44]point is IM Ali born or is he not born and to

[2:48]better understand this point we will inshallah go over three main points

[2:50]number one who was the mother of al- Mahi and what's her

[2:55]story and number two the second important question how was IM Ali

[2:58]born and in what under what circumstances was our Imam the Imam

[3:04]of our time born and number three the third important question that

[3:06]we must go over why was there so much disagreement and confusion

[3:09]about the Imam about our Imam and how did he live the

[3:14]first years of his life under his father so we begin with

[3:16]the first point number one who was the mother of IM in

[3:23]the book ofal and in the book of two of our great

[3:27]Scholars that lived over a thousand years ago they both narrate the

[3:31]story of the mother of IM Al Mahi The Story begins during

[3:34]the time of imadi our 10th IM IM Hadi lived in samur

[3:40]IMI had one a companion by the name of bishan bishan narrates

[3:48]the story he says one day IM alhadi summons me he tells

[3:50]me I need you to do something for me what is it

[3:53]he says I need you to go to Bagdad and I want

[3:56]you to go to Bagdad and buy a slave a female slave

[4:00]for me he gives me a letter in that letter it's not

[4:02]Arabic it's written in either Greek or Latin in the language of

[4:07]the Roman Empire of that time he says go to Bagdad he

[4:09]gave me 220 dins and go buy me a certain slate he

[4:14]told me exactly where to go and who to buy he said

[4:18]go stand by a river you'll see a car a caravan it

[4:19]will arrive you'll see in that Caravan it's filled with female slaves

[4:26]and the owner selling them go and buy a certain slave with

[4:29]certain traits he told me me about for this amount of money

[4:33]he said I I said everything I did everything that IM imh

[4:36]Hadi asked me I went to bdad I took the letter and

[4:39]the money I went and I stood by that River all of

[4:42]a sudden I saw indeed a caravan came and it was filled

[4:45]with slaves female slaves so I went to the owner I said

[4:49]can I check your slaves he said yes I saw I looked

[4:53]I see Subhan Allah I found the one IMI speaking about with

[4:55]this traits with this feature she looks like this she's wearing this

[4:58]so then I tell the owner I want to buy her and

[5:02]then before I told him that I took the letter of M

[5:06]Hadi and I gave it to that female slave he said as

[5:07]soon as the slave opened the letter and she began to read

[5:11]it she began to cry and weep he says I don't know

[5:17]what's going on so I tell the owner I want to I

[5:17]want to buy the slave he says I'm not sure when she

[5:20]hears that she looks at the owner she tells him look I

[5:24]swear if you do not sell me to this man I will

[5:25]commit suicide I'll kill myself and you'll lose the whole money so

[5:29]sell me and get rid of me so the owner when he

[5:33]sees this he says fine he says I gave him 220 DIN

[5:36]and I took this female slave I took her to the city

[5:37]of bdad in a place to rest and then tomorrow we'll go

[5:41]to samur so when we arrived at the resting area I asked

[5:45]her what's your story and I see her she takes out the

[5:47]letter the same letter of Imam Hadi and I didn't tell her

[5:50]who's this who this letter is from I didn't tell her anything

[5:52]I just gave her a letter I saw she took out the

[6:17]I am the granddaughter of the Roman Emperor the Roman Emperor is

[6:21]my grandfather he's my father's father and on my mother's side I

[6:24]am a descendant of one of the Disciples of Isa Jesus Jesus

[8:48]other side I see the prophet of Islam Prophet Muhammad sallallahu alaihi

[8:51]wasallam he enters from the other side and they come and they

[8:54]greet each other Muhammad muham they come and they greet each other

[9:05]they hug each other and then the prophet he tells Isa our

[9:08]Prophet tells Isa that I have come to propose from your disciple

[9:12]one of his granddaughters for one of my grandsons I want one

[9:17]of my grandsons tells Isa to marry one of the granddaughters of

[9:21]your disciple who Malika me I want to propose Malika to my

[9:25]grandson and she says I see there's a few people around the

[9:30]prophet and amongst them was imari now she didn't know imari who

[9:33]he was but the story in the story in the dream was

[9:37]imari so then Isa he looked at Simon Peter shamun and he

[9:40]told him you should accept this honor this is proposing your daughter

[9:45]this is the greatest honor so accept it he said I accept

[10:28]not eat food or drink to an extent that I fell sick

[10:32]I fell ill and my grandfather would bring the doctors I wouldn't

[10:35]say what's wrong with me I didn't tell this story to anyone

[10:39]because I was afraid if I tell them this you made this

[10:40]up and so on so forth so I just told them I'm

[10:43]sick they brought all the doctors they couldn't do anything for me

[10:46]my grandfather was so upset what's wrong with you so he came

[10:50]one day and he told me my dear granddaughter is there anything

[10:52]that I can do for you for you to feel better or

[10:55]no she tells him yes my dear grandfather if you do one

[10:57]thing I may feel better what is it I want you to

[11:01]free all the Muslim prisoners under the Roman Empire now that time

[12:00]she says I see another dream in this dream she's telling the

[12:06]story to Bish the companion of IMI I see maram the mother

[12:09]of Isa she comes to me and she's walking with another woman

[12:14]a noble woman her face is all IM I asked miam who

[12:19]is this she says this is this is the best woman in

[14:05]alhamdulillah now after she tells him the story he's astonished that this

[14:10]is a princess this is a royal princess from the Roman Empire

[14:13]and how she how did she turn into a slave so she

[16:57]of imar so you see the mother of IM Al Mahi is

[17:02]a royal princess now what you find is there are a few

[17:06]there are a few historians and few schols who have objected to

[17:09]the story they say that we cannot accept the story because there

[17:11]are some historical inconsistencies about the story and I'll mention three objections

[17:17]that they have mentioned I'll answer them number one they say first

[17:21]of all we can't accept the story that the mother of Imam

[17:23]m is the granddaughter of the Roman Empire and so on why

[17:28]because number one the story says Malika says that my grandfather his

[17:31]name is in the in the Hadith she says my grandfather's name

[17:34]is in English is what Caesar they say out of all the

[17:38]Roman emper emperors there was only one Caesar and that's Julius Caesar

[17:41]this story happened in the N 9th century ad imar imadi they

[17:46]were in the 9th century Julius Caesar lived what before ad he

[17:51]was in BC so he lived maybe 900 or thousand years before

[17:55]this story so how could he be the grandfather of this woman

[17:58]so obviously this story is made up so how do we answer

[18:02]how do we reply to this objection that some historians have said

[18:05]now first of all when we go to the 9th century we

[18:08]find that when we go to the Roman Empire that was known

[18:15]as The bantine Empire at that time the ruler of the Byzantine

[18:18]Empire the emperor in the mid 9th century during the life of

[18:24]IM asari IM Hadi IM jaad was a man by the name

[18:25]of Michael III you'll find it in any history book or encyclopedia

[18:30]now Michael III they say that he history says that he was

[18:34]incompetent to rule he was young he had no expertise he was

[18:38]far from the politics he was always getting drunk and so on

[20:01]the story a second objection against this story some historians have said

[20:06]that in this story we find that how was she caught in

[20:10]a battle between the Muslims and the Romans the byzantines now they

[20:14]say that when we look at the mid e 9th century the

[20:17]life of imar had there were absolutely no Wars between the Muslims

[20:20]and the Romans so how was how did she go with those

[20:24]troops and she got caught so obviously whoever made up the story

[20:26]wasn't able to what to put it in a time in which

[20:29]there was a war this is what they claim how do we

[20:32]reply to this now when we go back to history we find

[20:34]no this is not true we see Sunni historians who do not

[20:38]even accept the story they admit if in their books that no

[20:41]there were a few wars during the life of Imam jaad Imam

[20:45]aadi imari between the Muslim and between the Roman Empire but they

[20:49]were small battles for example go back to the book ofab aabi

[20:54]is a big scholar from the sunnis he has a book called

[20:56]Islam and another scholar they have their book by chapters each chapter

[21:04]is the events of the year so they start with for example

[21:09]the death of until I don't know how many years after that

[21:11]two 300 years after that go to the year 248 after Hijra

[21:16]how many years before Imam Mahi is born seven because Imam Mahi

[21:20]was born 255 so this is during the life of Imam madii

[21:24]andar now they say both of them they say that in the

[21:26]year 248 after Hijra Theif of the Muslims by the name of

[21:33]Al al-as what did he do he gathered up to 10 or

[21:39]12,000 troops and he sent them to fight the Romans and there

[21:41]was a battle between the Muslims and the Romans this is in

[21:46]the year 248 in the same year Theif died the next khif

[21:49]came he had another battle with the Romans and he conquered some

[21:55]of their lands this is the year 258 the year 251 four

[21:57]years before before IM M's born there's also a battle between the

[22:00]Muslims and the Romans the year 253 there's also a battle and

[22:04]so on and so forth so there's many battles and this story

[22:06]of Malika could have happened in any one of these battles so

[22:10]we can't say that there was no battle this is number two

[22:12]and number three some historians and some Scholars have said we cannot

[22:17]accept this report because there are conflicting reports in ouri like what

[22:20]they say Al one of our greatest is Al K he has

[22:25]the book of alfi I'm sure you've heard of book alfi it's

[22:28]one of the best books that that we have in ourth it's

[22:32]a book filled of of he does not mention this Hadith of

[22:35]the mother of IM Mahi being the royal princess and so on

[22:39]and so forth they say Al says that the mother of al-

[22:43]MDI was a slave a black slave from where from Sudan so

[22:46]wait a minute we have conflicting reports and was before he lived

[22:51]a couple of decades before and so that's why this creates what

[22:58]this creates a question mark on the story of the mother of

[23:01]IMI being a royal princess so how do we reply to this

[23:05]we reply to this by going to the book of CI first

[23:08]of all whoever wrote this objection which many have mentioned has not

[23:13]understood the book of CFI at all because Ali Al in Ali

[23:14]does not mention any of his views in it it's just a

[23:17]book of a he does not talk in it he does not

[23:21]say I think this I think that it's all books it's all

[23:23]that he mentions without saying any opinions without putting any footnotes so

[23:29]why were these Scholars misled into thinking that Kenia believes the mother

[23:33]of Imam Mahi was a slave from Sudan because you if you

[23:39]go to the book of alfi Al K he narrates a Hadith

[23:44]he narrates a Hadith in the chapter of IM Jawad because he

[23:46]has a chapter for each IM in the chapter of our ninth

[23:51]IM Jawad he mentions a story that happened between IM jaad and

[23:55]his uncles and IM in the story he mentions a Hadith he

[24:02]quot IM says in in this Hadith you can find it today

[24:05]he says that said this what did say he's speaking about IM

[24:11]and then he says says didn't say who is he talking about

[24:18]but he said this he praised the one who is the son

[24:23]of the greatest slave his mother is the greatest of the slaves

[24:29]and his mother is a no mean meaning from Sudan noia means

[24:33]from Sudan now some historians they understood that the is speaking about

[24:39]whom is speaking about IM IMI and that's why Ken wrote it

[24:45]in his book so that means kaini believes the mother of IM

[24:48]Ali is what is from Sudan but this is incorrect because when

[24:52]we go back we see Kain wrote this in which chapter in

[24:54]the chapter of IM MDI no in IM jaad and the whole

[24:58]Hadith is about IM jaad so what does it have to do

[25:02]with IMI and that's why all our and historians they say yes

[25:04]the mother of IM Jawad she was a black slave from Sudan

[25:11]IM jaad was born so this is speaking about IM jaad not

[25:17]about IMI so there is absolutely no conflict of reports about the

[25:21]mother of IM M so these are three objections that we understand

[25:24]the reply to when it comes to the mother of IM Al

[25:28]Malika or n so now that we understand who the mother of

[25:32]IM Al Mahi is now we go to the second question how

[25:34]was Imam M born after she went and lived withar how was

[25:41]IM born likewise we go back to our books of for example

[25:45]and other books they mention that the aunt of imari the sister

[25:53]of imadi she narrates to us how Imam Al Mahi was born

[25:55]she says one day it was mid Shaban it was the eve

[26:00]of the night of M Shan so tomorrow is M Shan tonight

[26:04]is the night of M Shan it was before I'm at the

[26:08]house of my nephew alar he tells me my dear Aunt tonight

[26:10]have your with us and please spend the night with us why

[26:13]because tonight will be born my successor will be born had no

[26:22]clue she says imari who's the mother we have no pregnant woman

[26:25]your wives if if the IM had more than one wife no

[26:29]none of them are pregnant so what do you mean how is

[26:30]she going to be born who's the mother how is he going

[26:33]to be born who's the mother imar tells her the mother is

[26:38]nous or Malik she says I went to nerous I just saw

[26:40]her yesterday that there's absolutely no signs of pregnancy there's so many

[26:43]signs the stomach she's going to have contractions she's going to have

[26:46]certain moods and she's going to want certain things absolutely no signs

[26:52]of pregnancy I said how there's no signs of pregnancy he told

[26:54]me trust me he will be born tonight he said this is

[26:58]she said this is a I have to submit she said I

[27:01]went and I slept I was doing my IAT and everything and

[27:06]then she says the night kept on going and going until it

[27:09]was close to fer nothing I go I see nerous she sleeping

[27:13]there's absolutely no sign she's GNA she should give birth in a

[27:22]doubt maybe it's the wrong night maybe not tonight she said I

[40:43]is a Hadith that says after imami was born two angels they

[40:49]prophet he was with Prophet Isa because we believe Prophet Isa was

[40:52]also taken to the heavens the point is he was not in

[40:54]Samurai was not in this world he was in the heavens and

[40:57]he would only come once every 40 days and that's why some

[41:01]sahab they used to see him like the stories I mentioned in

[41:03]that 40 days in that 40-day period so she says they he

[41:08]took him and they left this is one Hadith the other Hadith

[41:10]says she says that after Imam M was born I came the

[41:16]next day where's IM M I can't find him where's the child

[41:48]this Hadith says imari told her if you want to see him
