[0:14]um one of the sciences that human beings are intrigued with and
[1:32]it is a very intriguing science psychology many people read about psychology
[1:39]one of the most best-selling books are the ones on psychology on
[1:49]how humans think on human behavior psychology explains to us how humans
[1:59]think and how they behave why do they do the things that
[2:11]they do it answers us and provides us with answers for the
[2:16]most difficult questions it helps us answer difficult questions it helps us
[2:23]understand human behavior for example when human beings face a grave danger
[2:34]someone is being held up you're in a bank and there's a
[2:43]robbery taking place all of a sudden you flee you run without
[2:49]hesitating to think about it immediately you run why is it that
[2:55]you run here psychology explains to us that human beings have the
[3:05]fight or or flight genes that without having to think about it
[3:09]human beings either fight in a dangerous situation they fight for their
[3:16]life or they flee so psychology explains to us why do we
[3:23]do the things that we do for example another example things that
[3:30]are forbidden humans desire them the things that are forbidden the most
[3:36]either legally or religiously or due to social norms that thing that
[3:44]is forbidden becomes more desired why is that does it make sense
[3:50]it's supposed to be forbidden the law forbids such a behavior and
[3:58]it's considered a crime and there's a punishment for it yet human
[4:01]beings desire it more the more it is forbidden the more it
[4:07]is desired why is that psychology gives us the answer why do
[4:13]we human beings when we are punished we stop that behavior that
[4:20]we're punished for and if we're rewarded we continue doing that behavior
[4:24]why is it that we do certain things and we don't do
[4:27]certain things why is it that human beings work on a reward
[4:32]punishment system reward and punish system psychology explains that to us explains
[4:37]to us how do we behave how do we think why do
[4:41]we think the way we do why do we behave the way
[4:46]we do what makes us get up early in the morning every
[4:50]single day except on the weekends to go to work or maybe
[4:54]even on the weekends for some why even if you've slept late
[4:58]at night you get up at five in the morning to go
[5:03]to work even though you're tired even though you're sleepy even though
[5:06]you haven't gotten enough rest and sleep but you still go to
[5:10]work what makes you get up from bed and go to work
[5:15]and come back in the evening late in the evening what is
[5:17]the drive what is the motivation what causes you to do this
[5:24]behavior why is it that smokers crave smoking what happens in their
[5:29]mind what explains this behavior although they know that this is bad
[5:34]as we talked about in a previous lecture they know that this
[5:38]is harmful yet they crave to smoke they want to have another
[5:44]cigarette and so on and so forth what explains all of this
[5:47]psychology psychology explains to us human behavior and that is why we're
[5:52]intrigued we're intrigued by psychology because it helps us answer tough questions
[6:01]about ourselves things that we don't know about ourselves about human beings
[6:07]about human behavior about human thought and the way they think all
[6:18]these questions are provided in psychology and there's been some great scholars
[6:24]of psychology throughout history now whether we agree with their theories or
[6:29]not but there have been some influential psychologists throughout history like ivan
[6:35]pavlov the famous psychologist and his theories like sigmund freud and his
[6:44]theories like b.f skinner and his theories and the list goes on
[6:48]if you've taken any class on psychology at college or university you'd
[6:53]have a basic understanding and a basic knowledge of the history of
[6:57]psychology and there are those who have specialized in psychology and have
[7:04]become psychologists it's intriguing it's something very intriguing why because it tells
[7:11]us about something that we don't know it helps it helps absolve
[7:16]and helps us solve mysteries about ourselves why is it that we
[7:23]do the things that we do why is it that we have
[7:25]the same dreams why is it that we have certain fears why
[7:29]is it that we behave in a sort of way with some
[7:33]people and behave in another way with a different group of people
[7:38]it helps us understand ourselves better now this was an introduction here's
[7:46]my question who knows us better than ourselves who knows humans more
[7:55]than anyone else why because he created us he created us hence
[8:06]the creator knows more about the creation than the creation knows about
[8:10]the creation itself the quran tells us the quran tells us we
[8:19]have created mankind humans and we know exactly what's going on in
[8:27]his heart and in his head in his mind we know what
[8:38]his nephs tells tells itself we know what happens in a person's
[8:42]head we know what happens in a person's heart allah reads our
[8:47]minds allah reads our hearts allah knows our behavior and we are
[8:57]closer to him than his jugular vein than his jugular vein allah
[9:02]is close to us allah knows how we behave how we think
[9:08]he knows our nature because he created us he formed us he
[9:18]knows more than anyone else about human nature when we read the
[9:26]quran we see that the quran is full of human descriptions the
[9:30]quran tells us how humans behave the quran tells us about human
[9:38]qualities what are the qualities of humans what are their descriptions what
[9:42]are their traits what are they like what are humans like and
[9:46]i'm not speaking about physical traits humans you know have physical bodies
[9:53]they have hands they have to know the quran tells us about
[9:58]the nephs how human beings are psychologically and emotionally it tells us
[10:06]about our nature not the physical nature of the human beings not
[10:11]the physical bodies of human beings but no their nature how humans
[10:16]react what humans want what humans desire what their qualities are like
[10:22]what their descriptions are like the quran is full the quran has
[10:26]told us has explained to us thus we could say that the
[10:32]quran is full of psychological theories the quran is full of psychological
[10:39]rules and laws that tell us about human nature today in sha
[10:45]allah we will walk through the quran to see some of these
[10:51]qualities of course we cannot take a look at all of the
[10:56]qualities of human beings in the quran because there's too many but
[10:58]we'll mention the most important of them and the ones that the
[11:05]recurring themes the qualities and descriptions of human beings that recur time
[11:12]and time again throughout the holy quran so one theme one quality
[11:20]one description of human beings that we see in the quran and
[11:22]we see an emphasis on it is that human beings are weak
[11:28]human beings are weak physically emotionally spiritually they're weak they might think
[11:41]they're strong they might think they're independent they might think that they
[11:46]can do whatever they want but human beings remain to be weak
[11:51]you read allah he was created in weakness humans are weak physically
[12:08]they're weak they can't do everything that they that they want a
[12:12]simple illness a virus that cannot be seen with the naked eye
[12:17]can put us into our graves as we've seen as we've seen
[12:26]from the kobit 19 crisis how many people have died so far
[12:29]almost a million almost a million and it will reach million soon
[12:37]soon enough a virus that cannot be seen with the naked eye
[12:41]even those that are young even athletes celebrities singers actors they were
[12:53]diagnosed with this illness and some of them almost reached death some
[12:59]of them already reached death humans are weak physically emotionally they're weak
[13:08]many humans deal with depression many of them deal with anxiety many
[13:14]of them deal with stress all sorts of psychological disorders and mental
[13:24]disorders spiritually they're weak humans can't handle hunger they can't handle thirst
[13:30]they can't handle being tired they can't tolerate pain they can't tolerate
[13:41]difficult tasks hence in the end of surat al-baqarah there is stated
[13:45]in the holy quran in the end of surat al-baqarah before the
[13:54]dua allah says that we will not obligate a human being more
[13:58]than his or her capacity allah knows that we human beings are
[14:05]weak we have a limited capacity how much can we take how
[14:08]much pressure can we handle allah will test us obligate us according
[14:16]to that capability not more likely oh allah do not punish us
[14:30]do not hold us accountable if we forget and if we make
[14:34]a mistake hold us don't obligate us with something difficult like you
[14:56]did for those before us obligate us with something that we cannot
[15:07]handle something that we cannot endure we have no capability we have
[15:13]no capacity we have no strength to endure don't obligate us with
[15:20]such a task don't don't test us with such a task because
[15:25]we human beings are weak we human beings are weak this helps
[15:33]us understand why we human beings we give in to temptation we
[15:39]give into temptation although allah has showed us the right path has
[15:45]told us what to do and what not to do has told
[15:46]us to abstain from alcohol yet there are some that cannot abstain
[15:49]from has told us not to drink there are some human beings
[15:54]that drink there are allah has told us to abstain from haram
[15:57]food yet there are some people that cannot resist why because they're
[16:05]weak they're weak it's a weakness allah has told us to seek
[16:08]lawful means of income don't seek unlawful means of income to avoid
[16:15]usury for example to avoid certain businesses that harm mankind that harm
[16:22]the environment that harm society if there's some that go into that
[16:29]sort of business why because they're weak because we human beings are
[16:33]weak we give into temptation our naps if it tells us slightly
[16:37]slightly to do this to perform this haram act we immediately listen
[16:45]of shaytan comes to us and tells us to do this to
[16:49]eat this to eat that to look at this to perform this
[16:54]act are we tongues can we control our tongues many religious people
[17:00]many religious people they're religious they pray they fast they go to
[17:09]hajj they go to but they cannot control their tongues many of
[17:13]us we cannot control our tongues we're righteous we're good people we
[17:16]don't drink we don't steal but can we control our tongues from
[17:24]backbiting from gossiping from attacking people for no why because we're weak
[17:30]we're weak not just physically weak but emotionally spiritually we give in
[17:36]to the neps that's why true strength true strength is not in
[17:44]the battlefield true strength is against the naps one day passed by
[17:52]a group of youth they were holding a contest who can lift
[17:59]this rock there was a huge rock who can lift the rock
[18:04]told them good for you whoever can lift the rock is good
[18:09]but this is not true strength true strength is to overcome your
[18:15]nips is to overcome that weakness this is strength you now might
[18:20]be able to bench press 90 pounds 80 pounds but you could
[18:27]get up for salat you could get up for salat if there
[18:34]is a scene that you should not be watching on tv or
[18:38]on your phone or on your laptop and you turn away you
[18:42]lower your gaze this is strength even if you can't bench press
[18:47]what good is it if you can bench press 200 pounds 300
[18:52]pounds but you give in to temptation this is weakness this is
[18:55]not strength another quality that the quran tells us about human beings
[19:04]in the quran is that human beings lose hope quickly they lose
[19:10]hope if something bad happens to them immediately they're in despair they
[19:18]lose hope they think that the world has gone upside down immediately
[19:25]they can't think positive they can only think negative they lose patience
[19:31]they lose tolerance immediately they lose hope why this losing hope immediately
[19:41]when something negative happens to you and when something bad happens to
[19:46]you in your life a car accident you lose your business you're
[19:49]in a divorce a catastrophe occurs if you immediately lose hope this
[19:57]is a sign of weak faith weak iman in allah a person
[20:01]who has strong faith in allah doesn't give up quickly doesn't lose
[20:08]faith quickly doesn't lose hope quickly allah has taken care of us
[20:13]all of our lives when has he ever abandoned us when ever
[20:18]since we were fetuses in the wombs of our mothers allah was
[20:24]feeding us allah was making sure that we get enough nourishment to
[20:29]come to this life as healthy babies until the moment that we
[20:34]die we close our eyes and we go to the next life
[20:38]allah has been taking care of us when did allah ever abandon
[20:40]us for us to lose hope and to lose faith see the
[20:48]quran says if we give human beings a blessing and then we
[21:01]take it away from him he loses his head hope he loses
[21:07]faith he becomes desperate it's like a baby give a baby a
[21:11]toy it's not his right he hasn't seen the toy before give
[21:13]him the toy he's joyous his happiness he thinks it's his he
[21:17]thinks he can keep it he thinks he's had it for centuries
[21:22]take the toy away and look at what the baby does the
[21:27]baby starts screaming crying shoving pushing this is how babies react we
[21:40]as adults we're not any different allah has given us so many
[21:45]blessings but the moment that he takes it away from us one
[21:47]blessing as soon as he takes it away from us immediately we
[21:54]become desperate we despair we lose hope we think that this is
[22:00]the end of the world we think that this is it this
[22:05]is it it can't be things can't go any worse this is
[22:08]the worst possible thing that can happen to us why in another
[22:13]verse human beings never get tired from seeking wealth and seeking money
[22:26]but if something of a mishap happens to him if evil touches
[22:32]him or comes close to him immediately he loses hope immediately he
[22:38]uses faith and he has despair and there is disparity why allah
[22:48]is the same way that he's given you blessings he might take
[22:52]it away sometimes good things happen sometimes bad things why do you
[22:56]lose hope why do we lose hope why do we lose faith
[22:59]why do we become desperate immediately and in other verses when we
[23:07]give him good when we give humans good they forget allah when
[23:13]he becomes rich he forgets allah he forgets the mosque he forgets
[23:16]to pray he forgets he forgets allah as soon as he's good
[23:26]he's healthy he's wealthy he's in a position he forgets allah but
[23:38]as soon as evil afflicts him something negative afflicts him he raises
[23:45]his hand and he has a long dua he remembers allah only
[23:50]in negative times not in positive times when he's healthy and wealthy
[23:56]there's no du'a he forgets to pray to allah he forgets to
[24:02]supplicate to allah he forgets that this blessing can be taken away
[24:05]from him in a split second but once he's afflicted with pain
[24:10]and anguish and and tragedy he remembers allah he comes back to
[24:16]allah dura then he remembers to to go to hydrogen to perform
[24:18]ziada and to pray and recite the accompaniment why because he loses
[24:24]hope because he's desperate there's disparity he's reached the bottom he's he's
[24:34]hit the pit human beings are created without patience without tolerance means
[24:47]in another means he has no patience constantly complaining has no tolerance
[24:58]for pain has no tolerance to be tested has no tolerance to
[25:04]be tried if evil afflicts him he complains he yells he shouts
[25:14]he loses faith he loses hope and if good afflicts if good
[25:29]comes to him he forbids others he doesn't share he's not willing
[25:35]to share except those who pray see this is equality about human
[25:42]beings when we're afflicted with evil we lose patience we're not patient
[25:46]we're not tolerant we don't realize this is a test we don't
[25:50]realize that this is a trial for us and we need to
[25:54]pass this trial immediately we begin to despair and we reach desperate
[26:00]measure we go to desperate measures that is why some people as
[26:05]soon as they have money problems instead of coming back to allah
[26:12]instead of thinking why why is allah is testing me is he
[26:15]testing me to see if i'm patient or because it's good for
[26:21]me why immediately they go for other measures they think of violating
[26:28]the law not paying taxes doing con con work fooling people taking
[26:36]money from this person getting a loan from that person and not
[26:39]with the intention of not returning it back we go to desperate
[26:47]measures instead of coming back to allah we think of other means
[26:56]why because we're desperate we think this is it i've hit the
[26:58]bottom and i'm losing my wealth and this is happening in this
[27:04]day and age right now in the age of kovid19 how many
[27:10]people when lost their jobs how many people are not doing so
[27:13]well in their business they're losing their business some have announced bankruptcy
[27:17]they think of other means of regaining their money but they don't
[27:23]think of coming to allah why because they're desperate they think of
[27:27]cheating on their taxes they think of cheating on the government getting
[27:30]money from them you know in some countries now for example in
[27:35]the united states they're giving unemployment for those that lost their jobs
[27:40]there are some people that are misusing misusing this from the government
[27:47]they have jobs but they still want unemployment there was an article
[27:53]in the new york times that someone misused the system right now
[27:59]during this this crisis there's hundreds of thousands that have lost their
[28:03]jobs that have lost their homes and they need this money someone
[28:06]went out and bought a lamborghini for nine million dollars nine million
[28:11]dollars money from the government because he thought of cheating he thought
[28:17]of taking advantage of of the state of the government we human
[28:23]beings when we're when we despair we instead of coming back to
[28:30]allah some of us we go and you know we reach desperate
[28:35]measures instead of coming back to allah why because we lose hope
[28:42]we have no more hope we have no more faith allah tells
[28:48]us in the quran another quality another characteristic of human beings and
[28:55]that is that they quickly forget their weaknesses they quickly forget their
[29:02]mishaps see a human being is afflicted allah tests us with trials
[29:09]trials and tribulations do they not see that we test them once
[29:26]or twice every year and still they do not repent nor do
[29:34]they remember allah tests us with mishaps with tragedies with afflictions and
[29:38]then life goes back to normal and the same thing with covert
[29:44]19 this is a test this is a trial and one day
[29:45]life will go back to normal in sha allah but when the
[29:51]quran says that when a person the affliction is lifted from him
[29:57]once the tragedy is lifted from him he forgets he forgets that
[30:02]he was in a tragedy he quickly forgets he forgets that there
[30:06]were tragedies that there are afflictions why because this dunya makes him
[30:12]forget immediately he goes back to dunya into seeking dunya and being
[30:16]fooled by dunya the quran says good things happen to him after
[30:37]bad things after evil afflicts him good things start happening start happening
[30:40]start happening to him he says i'm done i'm good nothing bad
[30:46]will ever happen to me again he's proud it's over for him
[30:55]nothing bad will ever happen to him again so he goes back
[30:59]to his old ways in another verse when something bad happens to
[31:08]a human being he remembers us he begins to praying he begins
[31:12]he or she begins to praying begins praying to us fellaini once
[31:22]we and then once we lift the evil he goes back to
[31:27]his old ways as if he never prayed to us as if
[31:31]he was never desperate as if he wasn't about to die as
[31:35]if he wasn't in a bad situation he goes back to his
[31:41]old ways as if nothing happened as if nothing happened but allah
[32:00]when he gives him something good he forgets nessie mike he forgets
[32:07]that he was praying just a couple of days ago he was
[32:10]praying to allah to rescue him to save him and he goes
[32:27]back to his shirk he goes back to his evil lifestyle he
[32:31]goes back to his sinful lifestyle this is how human how human
[32:37]beings are we forget we have short memories we forget that yesterday
[32:43]allah taught us a lesson he tested us he tried us and
[32:49]he could try us again he could test us again we forget
[32:54]this explains to us why we human beings after a life or
[32:58]death situation after a major tragedy after a test an affliction a
[33:06]tragedy we go back to sinning we go back to sinning because
[33:13]we forget something bad happened to you you were in a car
[33:16]accident you almost died we almost died in a car accident we
[33:22]were in a hospital for a month on machines not even not
[33:26]able to breathe once we're out of the hospital once we've gained
[33:30]our health we go back same old ways listening to music reba
[33:38]not praying on time if we even pray not taking hijab seriously
[33:42]not not taking religion seriously we go back to our old ways
[33:50]why because we forget we forget our mishaps and this could happen
[33:53]to us after covid19 this is a major trial this is a
[33:59]major a major test for us but will we go back to
[34:02]our old ways will we forget this this crisis will we have
[34:09]short-term memories or will we remember allah tells us that human beings
[34:17]are ungrateful no matter what he's done for us no matter how
[34:22]good he's done for us we're ungrateful we don't thank him we
[34:29]don't thank you allah has given us everything that we've that we
[34:34]have wanted yet we're still ungrateful we still don't do good we're
[34:42]still not loyal to allah azzawajal allah has given you from all
[34:50]that which you wanted whatever you desired allah gave you wealth health
[34:57]money food house a job a certificate education a visa a passport
[35:03]whatever you wanted allah gave you enter and if you count the
[35:13]blessings of allah you will not be able to count them and
[35:18]human beings are unjust and ungrateful ungrateful this explains why we human
[35:29]beings although we are blessed you see a person who is blessed
[35:33]from every sort of angle has a good job has a good
[35:36]wife has good children has a beautiful home has a vacation home
[35:41]has the nicest cars has the has a good income if this
[35:49]person is sinful yet this person sins yet this person disobeys allah
[35:54]where's the gratitude where is showing gratitude to allah isn't this being
[36:04]ungrateful let me give you an example imagine you're out in a
[36:08]park or on the beach and you see someone homeless someone doesn't
[36:13]have a home he's homeless he's lying on the beach and you
[36:18]feel sorry for this person so you think of bringing bringing this
[36:23]person to your house you bring this homeless person to your house
[36:25]you live in a mansion you give this person a room this
[36:33]person takes a hot shower has a hot meal you bring your
[36:41]nice clothing a new suit new shoes you you cook him the
[36:46]best meal a warm meal and you give him a warm bed
[36:53]in his private room and he sleeps the night you provided him
[36:56]with food with shelter with clothing with security no one is going
[37:02]to tell him to to to get up as they would if
[37:05]he's lying on the beach in a park and then when he
[37:09]awake and then when he wakes up in the morning you come
[37:12]breakfast you taking you take him out shopping you spend on him
[37:18]for lunch you're bringing you bring him back home you kick him
[37:22]a nice meal for lunch and dinner and he stays in your
[37:26]house for a week and then you tell him that he can
[37:31]go now after you've bought him clothing you've bought him food when
[37:35]he leaves you discover that he's stolen from you he's stolen your
[37:42]gold your jewelry your cash he's stolen expensive items from your house
[37:47]how upset would you be wouldn't you say this person is so
[37:50]ungrateful i brought this person to my house i took care of
[37:55]him for an entire week no one else would have done this
[37:58]but i did this is how he pays me back by stealing
[38:02]from me by backstabbing me by taking things from me where's the
[38:09]loyalty where's the gratitude but don't we do this with with allah
[38:14]azzawajal every day day in day out allah has given us so
[38:18]much yet we still disobey him yet still we're disloyalty we don't
[38:26]follow his orders we human beings the quran tells us that we're
[38:31]hasty we have no patience when we want something we want it
[38:37]right away we ask allah allah i want money i want a
[38:43]cure i want a solution today right now tonight we have no
[38:53]patience we're here we're hasty we're hasty the quran says human beings
[38:59]are created from haste being hasty wanting something right away without being
[39:05]patient this explains to us why we human beings sometimes we pray
[39:12]and wish for something without even knowing if this is good for
[39:16]us or bad for us but we pray for it oh allah
[39:19]i want it i want to start a business that will pay
[39:22]millions and we pray and we pray and we wonder right away
[39:26]who said this is good for us who said that if we
[39:31]become millionaires now this is good for us this is good for
[39:37]our iman for our faith for our the quran says a human
[39:48]being prays for that is bad by praying for that which is
[39:52]good what does this mean you pray for something you think it's
[39:56]good for you but it's actually bad for you because you don't
[40:01]know because you're hasty you want it right away a person prays
[40:04]i want a wife i want to get married right now who
[40:09]said that getting married at this stage of his life is good
[40:14]for him it might be bad for him you ask for something
[40:17]right now and you think it's good while if it comes back
[40:21]later if it's given to you at a late later stage in
[40:25]your life that is what is good for you but we human
[40:30]beings are hasty we quickly lose heart we quickly lose faith why
[40:34]doesn't allah answer my dua why doesn't allah give me what sort
[40:38]of god is he why should i continue praying when allah doesn't
[40:42]give me what i want from him why because humans are created
[40:48]from anjal we're hasty we want everything quickly we want quick results
[40:54]we don't have foresight we don't look in the long run we
[41:03]don't look for we're not satisfied with long term results we want
[41:05]short-term results we want quick results even in businesses you see some
[41:12]people why do some people fail in their businesses because they want
[41:17]money right away they want to generate income right away not thinking
[41:22]that starting a business requires patience you need to think in the
[41:28]long run be satisfied with some money now so that in the
[41:31]long run you'll make more money you'll make millions in the future
[41:37]some people they ask allah for things that will damage them right
[41:42]now if if if it's given to them now it could damage
[41:45]them it could damage their soul it could damage their spirit but
[41:49]we're hasty we don't know we want quick results we want what
[41:54]we want immediately the quran tells us that some human beings can
[41:58]be corrupt if they're independent as soon as they become independent they
[42:05]become powerful they're in a powerful position they become corrupt subhanallah this
[42:18]psychological law explains to us so many so much behavior you see
[42:22]a person who's righteous who's good who's religious but give this person
[42:27]a responsibility make him a minister or a prime minister make him
[42:32]as the ceo of the company and see how he changes he
[42:37]becomes a tyrant he becomes a dictator he becomes corrupt as soon
[42:44]as he becomes independent as soon as he reaches a position he
[42:48]changes he starts saying i don't need anyone look at me look
[42:56]at where i've reached look at my position he thinks that he
[42:59]did it on his own it's all about him he doesn't think
[43:03]who brought him to this stage he forgets his family i don't
[43:07]need my family i don't need my friends i don't need i
[43:12]don't need but he needs everyone and he needs allah money changes
[43:17]my dear friends politics change a person a position changes a person
[43:24]a the position of of a minister changes a person the position
[43:29]of a prime minister changes a person you see this person he
[43:33]was righteous but once he reaches a position he changes this is
[43:39]how human nature is as soon as a person becomes independent and
[43:45]powerful he becomes a tyrant of course there's exceptions there are exceptions
[43:50]to this role there's exceptions to all of these rules that we
[43:57]mentioned but these are general rules allah tells us that we human
[44:02]beings are stingy by nature we're stingy we we want to save
[44:07]up we don't want to spend we don't want to spend we
[44:15]have money we have what we have we want to hold on
[44:16]to it we don't want to spend it we want to save
[44:20]it up allah tells allah if you human beings own what allah
[44:34]owns you would not spend even if you own what allah owns
[44:36]you wouldn't spend you would save up your you would be afraid
[44:40]you lose your money humans are stingy this this explains to us
[44:49]why the richer we become the stingier we become you see a
[44:53]person you know he's a middle-class person he makes five six thousand
[44:58]dollars per month but he he gives he gives to the mosque
[45:03]he gives the charity he gives to the poor the moment he
[45:06]becomes rich or the richer he becomes the stringer he becomes the
[45:10]less he gives does that make sense isn't it logical that the
[45:18]more we make the more we should give to others to charity
[45:22]causes but we see the opposite the richer we become the less
[45:26]we spend the less we give because it's in human nature to
[45:31]be stingy you know a wealthy businessman everyone knows of you could
[45:37]look him up when there were fires in australia a couple of
[45:41]months ago this person this individual makes 200 000 per minute right
[45:49]this person donated 600 000 to the fires in australia 600 000
[45:56]that means he donated three minutes of his time three minutes because
[46:00]in every minute he makes two hundred thousand dollars he gave six
[46:05]hundred thousand dollars this person can it can easily give 600 million
[46:10]dollars and still not feel a thing but the richer we become
[46:15]the stinger we are the quran also tells us that we human
[46:20]beings are unsubmissive we always object we always protest we always dispute
[46:30]we always argue we even argue with allah even when we see
[46:35]the truth we argue human beings they ask how did we come
[46:39]into this being where will we go after the spring who created
[46:45]us who said we have a creator who said there's a god
[46:49]yet he sees himself he's weak he didn't exist nor will he
[46:54]exist in the future hence he has to have the creator yet
[46:57]he objects do human beings this human nazi that we created him
[47:09]from a sperm yet he still argues with us and he sets
[47:20]an example for us puts an example and he forgets himself he
[47:25]says who creates these who will recreate these bones after they've dissolved
[47:33]who will resurrect these bones once they have dissolved say that the
[47:47]one who created these bones the first time can create them a
[47:51]second time we have given in this quran all sorts of examples
[48:03]we have set all sorts of examples the human beings still dispute
[48:07]and argue they don't accept they refute the truth they see the
[48:13]truth with their own eyes yet they refuse a person i saw
[48:16]a caricature very beautiful character of a human that says where is
[48:23]god i can't see god i can't see signs of god and
[48:26]it's during the day and then it's at night and there's mountains
[48:30]and rivers and trees and animals in front of him during the
[48:35]day he says i can't see god we're the signs of god
[48:37]and then it's the same scene but it's at night and he
[48:40]says i'm still waiting to see the signs of god or to
[48:43]see god what more do you want to see you see the
[48:48]truth yet you reject the truth this is how we human beings
[48:50]are wakanda we dispute we argue we fight we don't accept the
[49:00]truth easily the same thing happened with those who fought imam hussain
[49:05]ali they saw that he's the grandson of rasool allah and his
[49:12]mother his grandmother is khadijah his father is his mother is fatima
[49:20]his uncle is hamza his uncle is jafar they know who he
[49:24]is yet they still fought what more do you want to see
[49:29]about imam hussain to understand that this person is the imam of
[49:32]his time god's vicengerant and representative on earth yet they fought him
[49:42]and he would tell them he asked them do you not know
[49:45]that rasool allah is my father do you not know that is
[49:48]my father do you not know that fatherhood is my mother and
[49:54]he they said no we know we know all of them we
[50:02]fight you because of our hatred to your father what he did
[50:08]to us what he did to us and to our forefathers tonight
[50:15]i'd like to take you on the third of muharram we remember
[50:21]a daughter of imam hussain his daughter i'd like to take you
[50:24]tonight to damascus where yazid is his drinking in his palace getting
[50:31]drunk and he has kept the family of imam hussein in a
[50:35]small shack in a tent and the three-year-old daughter of imam hussain
[50:41]woke up at night she had seen a dream she had seen
[50:46]her father imam hussein she got up and she kept on shouting
[50:51]i want my father they told her your father is traveling he's
[50:58]not here he's traveling they meant traveling to the next life she
[51:01]said no he was with me right now moments ago she's cries
[51:07]and the entire tent begin to cry the noise of the crying
[51:15]reaches the palace of yazid yazid was drinking he said what is
[51:21]all this commotion what is happening they told them the daughter of
[51:26]imam hussain the daughter of hussein woke up and she wants her
[51:29]father he said take toward the head of her father they brought
[51:37]the head of imam hussain in a covered dish they brought it
[51:41]to imam ali they put the dish in front of they she
[51:48]said i am not hungry i did not ask for food i
[51:52]asked for my father they said what you asked for is in
[51:56]the dish she lifts the cover and she says she sees the
[52:03]blood-stained beard and head of imam hussein be close to her chest
[52:31]until the crying stopped imam zainil abedin told his aunt zainab lift
[52:34]the child from the head of my father when they lifted the
[52:39]when they lifted they saw that she had departed this life [Music]
[53:54]to visit his father he describes the feeling of returning to imam
[54:00]al-hussein but specifically focusing on one person and the women and children
[54:04]were specifically focusing on the the young child of imam al-hussein who
[54:12]died on the way back to medina in a very tragic way
